Ireland to Jail ‘Hate Speech’ Offenders for Up to Five Years, But New Laws Are Arousing A Lot Of Hate

Always eager to be at the forefront of any fascitic EU campaign against freedom an civilised values, the government of Ireland published new 'Hate Speeech' legislation on Thursday (27 October). Under the new laws any individual found guilty of using “hate speech” in Ireland will face up to five years in jail. The country’s Justice Minister, Helen McEntee, has been at the centre of the country’s push towards implementing the effective abolition of free speech under the guise of protecting vulnerable minorities from “hate speech”, with her department announcing that the first draft of the new laws would soon be put in front of the nation's parliament.

Under the proposed law, people found guilty of “any intentional or reckless communication or behaviour that is likely to incite violence or hatred against a person or persons because they are associated with a protected characteristic” could be sentenced to a maximum of five years jail time.

What’s more, and here's the bit that would really make Hitler or Mussolini's thugs proud, any individual convicted of such an offence would be branded a “hate criminal”, a label which the minister says is designed to “follow an offender in court, in garda vetting, and so on”.

“[H]ate speech is not about free speech,” McEntee declared in a statement published by her department. “Hate speech is designed to shut people down, to shut them up, to make them afraid to say who they are and to exclude and isolate them,” she continued. “There is nothing free about that, and there is, frankly, no place for it in our society.”

No, hate speech is about stupid, virtue signalling politicians giving nasty, restentful little shits the ability to destroy somebody's life. Hate Speech, you see, has not and cannot have and solid legal definition. Hate speech is defined by the hearer's interpretation of remarks heard or overheard. Thus a completely innocuous comment made in a private conversation but overheard by some hateful little shit, can destroy somebody's life, even if the offending comment is an undeniable truth, for example saying that somebody born with a penis is a man and cannot ever become a woman.

So a jilted lover, a thwarted business rival, someone whose childish playground insults have festered since schooldays can be targeted and accused of hate speech simply as an act of revenge. Human nature being what it is, how could anything possibly go wrong?

The announcement that the Irish government — already deeply unpopular due to its inept and chaotic response to the COVID pandemic, followed by similar mishandling of the ongoing cost of living, energy,housing, and migrant crises — now aims to implement hate speech legislation posssibly by the end of this year has angered many, who have accused the ruling coalition of trying to silence critics. When somebody can be jailed for saying, "The Prime Minister is a useless, authoritarian clown," what is that other than the suppression of free speech. And the suppression of free speech, along with control of the media (already accomplished,) is always the first act of a fascist regime.

A representative from Free Speech Ireland told reporters that the Irish public was broadly opposed to the implementation of such legislation, and that the move would almost certainly strain police resources in the country. This blog is certain it will also poison police / public relations.

“No one in Ireland asked for these laws except for elite NGOs,” the spokesman said, adding that the new laws would almost certainly restrict freedom of speech in the country.

Former Bank of England Chief Blows The Gaffe On Post COVID Economic Crisis

BBC Breakfast, like most of mainstream media, obsessed over the Conservative Party leadership contest and who it will throw up as our next Prime Minister throughout the weekend just gone, giving a platform to contenders and their supporters and critics, and also to various talking heads from the opposition Labour Party who were all keen to describe in detail what the government had got wrong, but rather coy when required to detail how Labour would have done things differently and how their policies would have produced a better outcome.

However the most significant comments on the many headed crisis that awaits the new
Prime Minister came from a guest who is not linked to any political party: Lord Mervyn King, who was governor of the Bank of England between 2003 and 2013. Asked about the narrative being spread by some Liz Truss supporters, perhaps in a bid to undermine her successor and set in train events that will lead to another gangland execution, that financial markets ‘bullied’ Truss out of her plans and out of office, King gave a clear explanation of what had gone so badly wrong for Liz Truss and her hapless Chancellor Kwasei Kwarteng:

“Markets are not in charge. Governments and central banks are. Markets respond to the announcements made by government and central banks. And central banks have lost control of inflation, government lost control of the public finance; not surprising that markets respond to that.

“I think all central banks in the west, interestingly, made the same mistake. And during Covid, when the economy was actually contracting because of lockdown, central banks decided it was a good time to print a lot of money. That was a mistake. That led to inflation. We had too much money chasing too few goods. And the result was inflation. That was predictable. It was predicted, and it happened. So that’s one problem we have to try to get out of. But the public finances both in the United States and the United Kingdom were not put on a sustainable track. And markets responded to that.

King’s words highlighted several important factors that led to the mayhem that followed on the heels of the ill - fated mini-Budget, reportedly authored by Kwarteng and Truss themselves, and the economic chaos it plunged the country into. He stressed that the economic crisis is global, that the UK is not the only country experiencing higher interest rates or borrowing costs, as the economic climate is changing for everyone (albeit it’s happened faster in Britain, with far more international attention). This will not be well received by the people who still cannot accept that in a democratic vote we chose to leave the European Union and thus try to twist every negative news story in a way that enables them to blame it on Brexit. Unfortunately for them, Joe Public is all too aware that all the economically significant EU member states are as far or further up shit creek than we are.

The former central banker's verbal lashing did not spare the central banks. King made it crystal clear that mistakes had been made by all central banks in the west, though it was obvious he rated the Bank of England’s decision to dither and dally on actions to curb inflation as the biggest of all central bank cock ups, also lambasting their decision to print uncontrolled amounts of money in order to appease politicians and purveyors of 'The Science.'

While the cost of wrong headed and utterly ineffectual COVID reponse schemes like furlough (paying people to stay off work,) – roughly £70bn in total – did require the Bank and Treasury to work hand-in-hand, it has been a point for contention for a while now just how much money printing took place (the Bank created more money in the first year of Covid than it had in the decade leading up to it).

NB when we say 'printing money' in relation to governments and central banks, it is not a case of simply turning the speed of the printing presses up to eleven, money is created by selling bonds - in effect a contract to pay interest at a fixed rate on a certain sum for a specified number of years before redeeming the bond at face value.

Not only did the Bank oversee an astoundingly huge increase in the money supply; government policy saw cash flow into the national economy through furlough, business support support schemes, etc), yet central banks meekly went along with political denials that such reckless economic management would have no inflationary consequences, which was bollocks of course.

At one point in the show King blamed on the economics profession directly: 'If I were to blame anyone,’ he said, ‘I would blame the economics profession for encouraging [central banks] to print money [like] it didn’t matter.’

He also stressed that markets are not political in the way party politics are, forming policy and reacting to world events but instead are responding to a particular tax cuts or set of performance statistics – on the wider scale they are responding to the sustainability of financial plans, the ‘sustainable track,’ as King called it.

The recent mini-Budget that sank the government of Liz Truss was evidence that politicians are not taking fiscal discipline seriously after the loonytoons public spending splurges of the pandemic responses. It was a time when public debt has skyrocketed and deficits in peacetime hit record highs. It appeared to be a tipping point beyond which the philosophy of debt driven economies and rational behaviour parted company. All politicians are having to grapple with the consequences now, unfortunately few seem to realise that.

But perhaps the biggest impact of King’s appearance was not simply what he said, but how his contributions influenced what followed. Asked by The BBC's Laura Kuenssberg what direction the UK ought to be taking, King was warning about the ‘more difficult’ decision to come, including austerity and possibly ‘significantly higher taxes’ to fund public services, both to get the books in order but also to avoid passing on a staggering bill to future generations.

His comments echoed as unsuccessful Tory leadership contender refused to comment on any public policy, economic and otherwise, insisting that she would ‘not being drawn into the detail’ on decisions that presumably she would need to start making in less than a week, were she to become leader and by tradition Prime Minister. This included not talking about how she might reduce the UK’s deficit, which is thought to be required to regain market confidence and get things back on track – no doubt in part due to the serious lack of popularity spending cuts will have at a time when the cost of living crunch is worsening.

‘You heard from Penny Mordaunt,’ King pointed out, ‘we will probably hear in a minute from Keir Starmer (leader of the opposition Labour Party), that public expenditure isn’t going down, if anything it will go up. Therefore taxes will have to rise to fill the gap which is there at present. That doesn’t make a very happy picture for the next few years.’

Indeed, that’s exactly what happened when the Labour leader sat down in the hot seat, refusing to be pulled in on discussion of spending cuts, while insisting that some areas, including the usual Labour Party sacred cows, needed a funding boost. Starmer singled out healthcare, declaring ‘of course the NHS needs more money’ (he followed up later with vague talk of reform as well). With healthcare spending on track to account for almost 45 per cent of day-to-day government spending in the next few years, at some point Starmer will have to lay out just how high he thinks that number should go, and where exactly the money might come from.

King’s main point, that these are difficult times indeed, has been echoed by our new Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, and by every politician of every party who has been given chance thecise their vocal cords in public since . Very few of those politicians however, are ready to discuss the remedies publicly, nor are they prepared to seriously discuss spending cuts.

Common Sense Prevails: Germany Is Dismantling Wind Turbines To Make Room For Coal Mining

We have learned vial a piece in OilPrice.com that turbines at a wind farm in western Germany are being dismantled to allow for the expansion of open cast coal mining operations at an adjacent site. The propsal to increase output at the Garzweiler open-pit lignite coal mine has been described as a “paradoxical” situation given that in recent years the German government has been pushing ahead with the closure of coal and nuclear generating plant to appease its nutty but powerful Green party, the support of which has been essential to prop up ruling coalitions in the German Federal Parliament. The decision also highlights the current prioritization of energy security over the green dreams of the net zero brigade and Greta Thunberg fan club in Europe’s biggest economy.

The government's obsession with pandering to the loonytoons demands of environmentalist groups had left Germany dependent on cheap gas from Russia for the fuel needed to run its power stations and generate the electrical energy needed by industrial, commercial and domestic consumers.

The dismantling of one or more wind turbines at the wind farm close to the coal mine, operated by energy giant RWE, has already started. RWE says that lignite, or brown coal, has been mined from the Garzweiler coalfields for over 100 years.

RWE also said at the end of September that three of its lignite-fired coal units that had previously been mothballed would be recommissioned and resume feeding electricity to the distribution grid to by the end of October.

“The three lignite units each have a capacity of 300 megawatts (MW). With their deployment, they contribute to strengthening the security of supply in Germany during the energy crisis and to saving natural gas in electricity generation,” RWE said last month.

The the company is increasing output at the mine after a court in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia ruled in favor of the energy group in a land dispute in March this year to expand the lignite mine.

Commenting on the dismantling of wind turbines to make way for expanding a coal mine, Guido Steffen, a spokesperson for RWE, told the UK's Guardian newspaper, “We realize this comes across as paradoxical.”

“But that is as matters stand,” Steffen added.

Earlier this week, the ministry for economic and energy affairs of the state of North-Rhine Westphalia urged RWE to abandon the plan to dismantle the wind farm.

“In the current situation, all potential for the use of renewable energy should be exhausted as much as possible and existing turbines should be in operation for as long as possible,” a spokesperson for the state’s ministry told the Guardian. Unfortunately this virtue signalling clown has not yet got his head round the fact that when there is insufficient wind speed, wind turbines cannot produce any electricity wheras in a modern society a steady and totally reliable supply of electricity is needed to keep essential functions running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Russia Ukraine Dirty Bomb Claim - Some Reality

The Russian Foreign Ministry went public last week with an astounding claim that the government of Ukraine is in the 'final stage' of building a 'dirty bomb'. Despite a flurry of warning from Russian diplomats and defence officials western leaders were quick to dismiss the warning and claim that Moscow is planning and will carry out a false flag attack using a nuclear device.

The claim came as Kyiv's top general admitted President Volodymyr Zelensky's office is 'worried' about the threat posed by Vladimir Putin's nuclear weapons.While war coverage in mainstream media sugggests Moscow may resort to such desperate tactics because they are losing the war, well informed sources ignored by corporate publishers and broadcasters paint a very different picture of what is happpening in Ukraine. The Ukrainian army have taken vast losses, (some reasonable estimates 300,000 Ukrainian troops are dead or seriously wounded, while Russia's losses. though significant, are much lighter.

In fact balanced reports (we Boggart Bloggers look at news sources based in India, Singapore and Israel for confirmation of stories we see in European or american government propaganda mouthpieces,) suggest it is the Ukrainians who are desperate. Remember, it is Bellendskyyyyy who has constantly sought more and better weapons from NATO in order to escalate the conflict, while the neo - Nazi nutters in Kiev have repeatedly tried to draw the USA and NATO into direct involvement with Russian combat units in Ukraine.

Moscow has throughout indicated its willingness to negotiate while Ukrain will consider nothing but total surrender from Russia. And back in April, before the US and its allies started throwing money and weapons into Ukraine's war effort, Turkey's President Erdogan brokered a negotiated peace but Bellebdskyyyyy was ordered by the US and UK that in no circumstances could they negotiate directly with Russia. Ukraine needs to find a way of escalating the conflict and getting NATO troops on the ground, and a false flag event involving a dirty bomb would certainly do that (and also start World War Three.

Russia on the other hand, has nothing to gain by such an act, just as they had nothing to gain from sabotaging the Nord strem pipelines or attacking the Kerch Bridge, both of which are important Russian assets of key economic and strategic importance and which in both cases The Kremlin was blamed for by the west.

What is a dirty bomb?

Western reporting would also have you believe Russia has suffered a series of embarrassing battlefield setbacks which have prompted the Russian government to issue thinly veiled threat s late last month that they would be willing to resort to using nuclear weapons. Nuclear sabre rattling has also come from other Russian hardliners. Strangely thse media reports omit to mention the threats of nuclear escalation mage by the Biden regime.

On Monday (24 October), the Kremlin stood by its allegation that Ukraine may be preparing to detonate a so-called dirty bomb, which disperses radioactive material.

'According to the information we have, two organisations in Ukraine have specific instructions to create a so-called 'dirty bomb'. This work is in its final stage,' Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov claimed in a statement on Monday.

Ukraine, the United States, Britain and France have dismissed Moscow's claim athough what is not being reported is the flurry of defence officials flying to and from washington and European capitals, discussing (reportedly,) how NATO might respond to a nuclear event.

The purpose of the Ukrainian "dirty bomb" would be to simulate a Russian tactical nuclear weapon. Detonation of the device would (Bellendskyyyyy and the neo - Nazi nutters hope,) trigger the entry of the US 101st Airborne Division into Odessa.

Ukraine watchers expect the false-flag attack to happen somewhere in Nikolayev. The city is already being evacuated for this purpose. The device would probably consist of several depleted fuel rods from some Ukrainian nuclear power plant and up to 1000 tons of conventional explosive. The resulting radioactive mushroom cloud would be almost indistinguishable from that of a nuclear blast and spread radio - active dust over a wide area. The explosion would be timed to coincide with the arrival of Russian Kalibr missiles.

It would take several hours to analyze the fallout to determine that the origin of the fission products is a nuclear reactor and not a bomb. (The relative abundance of isotopes would tell the time of their creation.) Americans would not publish their results until maybe much later.

The Western media would scream about a Russian nuclear attack and demand retaliation. Remember, this is the same media that told us Russia bombed its own nuclear power plant and blew up its own gas pipeline and exploded a truck bomb on its own bridge.

It would make no difference, that the fallout would be from uranium, while Russian nuclear weapons use plutonium or that there is a world of difference between the radioactivity levels of reactor fuel and wasp[ons grade plutonium. The headlines would read, "Evil Putin used a uranium bomb to create terror," and not even consider the event migh be a a false-flag.

Let's develop the theory that (a) a dirty bomb is set off and (b) Russia knows it did not do it. The west will claim that Russia was to blame and the MSM etc will produce all sorts of evidence that they did. So whatever happens Russia will be vilified in the west.

There is or would an argument that Ukraine has gone rogue and against the wishes of its NATO handlers, but that does not appear to be what is happening. It appears to me and almost certainly to the Russians (who appear to know the score) that this is in fact a NATO false flag. You note I'm ruling out the "Russia did it really" hypothesis here.

Well would Russia react? Yes. They have to. How? My guess is by calling a full moblisation and moving to whatever they call 'shock and awe' in their language. The response would involve crushing Ukraine totally. Along with a total boycott of vital exports to NATO nations. And I'm guessing there would be malfunctions at various oil refineries etc

How would NATO react? Well Defcon 3 certainly, but possibly also the deployment of troops into western Ukraine - securing Odessa and the offshore oil and gas fields, possibly Polish forces acting as peace keepers in eastern Galicia. Maybe some attempt to get into a shooting war - no fly zone for instance. Maybe direct conflict on the ground.

What about the rest of the world? It's possible the people who run large third world nations may not be as stupid as the western public. There are a huge number of scenarios that might encompass Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Israel, Brazil, China etc etc. None of them good.

The world would be in a very dangerous place. One step from the cold war bogeyman Mutual Assured Destruction.

So why would NATO risk all this? This scenario must have been rehearsed dozens of times. My guess is that it has escalated badly in every one of them.

The obly conclusion that makes any sense is that the NATO actors have lost their collective grip on rationality here. So if it is completely irrational could it be a Russian false flag? The only reason would be if Putin was indeed the mad bad Vlad, the crazy, vengeful, bloodthirsty psychopath the media paint him to be. And I cannot see he would have survived as Russia's leader this long if he really was insane. What would Russia have to gain? Like most here I assess the Ukraine's chance of a military victory as vanishingly small. And given Ukraine's behaviour over the past 8 months (and eight years singce NATO, the EU and USA installed the neo - Nazi nutters government in Kiev, the Ukrainians will have to pay a massive price if they want a peaceful settlement now.

So we are left with the view that the current USA (and UK) Military / Industrial Complexes are out of control, in the USA because POTUS is senile and the profits being made from this wart by the Corporate pirateocracy are on a par with those made by the Big Pharma cartel throughout the COVID pandemic hoax. Who knows who is in really charge in the UK or EU? But maybe some faction or cabal in the DC swamp thinks it needs to risk nuclear war to be able to fight Russia? Or maybe they think they can in some way prevail in a nuclear war?

After I got my eyes back and started working again, I talked to a former reader. He basically told me, “Dean we miss the old you. In recent years you have gone soft and turned your back on the truth.” That’s far from an exact quote, but more of a paraphrase of what he told me. He was absolutely right.

At one time I ran websites that were both ranked in the top 25,000 in the world and made about $100,000 a year. Then I went soft to try to please those who would censor me if I didn’t. I starting focusing more on “he said, she said” politics and less on important truths. For roughly 15 years I have been like a sponge that absorbed every ounce of truth I could. God blessed me with good intellect and often I could spot things that others could not.

The truth is that YOUR government, in conjunction with nearly all other national governments on planet earth, is playing God. Recently I wrote an article about Hurricane Ian, just to ask a few questions of what if???
