Now It's Over We Can Ask Why Did The Polls Get It So Wrong Again?

For several months now, here in the UK and Europe as well as the USA mainstream media have been obsessing over polls, predictions and pronouncements about the outcome of the American the presidential election. Many of these polling based predictions presented their conclusions with a level of confidence which belied the data, disregarded the limitations of opinion polling and made mockery the democratic process. And most predicted a win for Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris

Yesterday we on the saner side of the pond woke to hear that the US electorate had chosen Donald Trump to be their president again. So we have a right, have we not, to ask WTF was all that bollocks about polls indicating the Democrats were about to scre a landslide victory that would humiliate Donald Trump and destry the Republican Party about?

Throughout this election campaign I have avoided commnting on the election because things have become so crazy in American politics that to merely point out that the polling companies were skewing data in order to give the impression Kamala Harris was ahead and thus nudge voters towards her was sure to attract venomous attacks from lefties, with accusations that the author murdered grsnnies, ate babies for lunch and habitually molested small furry animals.

There was no point trying to explain that one was not a Trump supporter but simply had conccerns about the way polling companies were skewing their findings.

Here are a few points on polling techniques and the manipulatio9as the case may be,n of data. . First of all it should be clear to anybody with more brain cells than they have tits or testicles that (as the case may be,) that polls are not able to 'predict' the outcome of elections with any degree of certainty.

That has been obvious for some time and manifests itself in different polls having different results at similar times. Turning to the question as to whether the polls are manipulated or used to manipulate, the latter is more likely than the former...BUT... Here we have to differentiate between who makes the poll, who pays for the poll and who publishes the poll.

Many polls are produced by research companies adding or including the questions in surveys they are already doing (e.g. omnibus surveys where clients buy a few questions rather than a whole survey). The cost of doing them is low and they may publish them for free. Some have agreements with newspapers, but when I last discussed this with a very senior newspaper person the view was 'they're not worth paying for, so we don't pay them any more.'

Clearly who publishes what and how they report/spin it does mean they can be used to influence. Polling companies have always been open about the fact that they adjust or 'weight' results. Some of these weightings are 'everyday' (e.g. weighting it by age and region to match the population) others seemed to be more 'judgemental' (e.g. adjusting for likelihood to vote or the 'shy Trumper' phenomenom).

On the other had pollsters are in denial about the fact that they present their data with a level of certainty that wasn't justified. Challenge organisation that have published polls which were 'wrong,' and they will cite a litany of excuses, usually concluding that their results were in fact correct but hve been misuderstood.

Opinion pollsters, of neccessity, have to rely on a number of assumptions, all of which are precarious and easily to be incorrect and the general problems are multiplied tenfold for political polling. The organisers have to assume that they have asked a cross section of people who accurately represent the entire constituency. Which of course presupposes that the pollsters also have a very deep and accurate knowledge of all the demographics of that constituency.

They have to get answers from all of that representative sample otherwise it will no longer be a properly representative sample. They have to assume that every one of those people is telling the truth about who they support. They have to assume that none of those people will change their mind before polling day and they have to assume that all of them will in fact vote.

If the race is a particularly tight one all of these factors have to be pinpoint accurate. Just one percentage point wrong can skew the entire sample. Then there may be rogue factors in particular cases, such as the data not giving an answer the customer wants and the pollster surreptitiously changing the results. And are all the individuals carrying out the polling 100% trustworthy? I doubt that they are particularly well paid and may well take short cuts to get the job done. Individual political bias is also a constant possibility.

Under all these circumstances, the most surprising thing is that any poll manages even to get close to reality.

A prime example of how polls are used tio manipulate opinion rather than simply reflect it occurred in the Scottish independence referendum of 2014. Shortly after the result was published, in an article about the “Yes” campaign, nationalist leaders openly admitted that the strategy was to “create a sense of inevitability” in order to suppress the “No” vote in Glasgow, because it could disproportionately affect the overall result. Although they didn't say so in the published piece, it's clear now that the polls produced by “Yes” and its friendly media outlets over the summer of 2014 showing them with a narrow lead formed part of that effort.

Now look at that poll in the strongly Republican state of Iowa just four days before the vote that put Harris three points ahead in the midwest state. Normally a poll in an individual US state would not attract much attention outside that state, but this particular poll ecame the top news story not just in the USA but also in Europe and around the world. Though it had been clear since the early of October that the Harris campaign was in trouble and the momentum was with Trump, pundits responded to that Iowa poll by commenting that it indicated a late suge of support for the Democrat and surely meant Trump's bid to regain The White House was doomed.

In the event Trump won Iowa by 13 points. So WTF was that that polling nonsense about?

German Government Collapses After Scholz Sacks Finance Minister

Fragile coalition crumbles after days of crisis talks, with elections expected as soon as March, six months ahead of schedule.

Germany’s fragile government has collapsed after Olaf Scholz fired his finance minister on Wednesday evening.

The Chancellor sacked Christian Lindner after days of crisis talks and amid a deluge of rumours that his turbulent coalition was about to come to an end.

In a statement to the press on Wednesday evening, the chancellor accused his finance minister of “breaking his trust” and putting the “short-term survival of his party over the wellbeing of the country.”

Mr Scholz, 66, said that he would put his chancellorship to a vote of confidence in January, a move that will clear the way for early elections in March.

Mr Lindner, head of the pro-business Free Democrats, had been pushing for corporate tax relief and a delay to net zero targets as part of a comprehensive package to get the economy moving after years of stagnation.

The governing coalition, which was cobbled together from three parties that shared little common groung politicallyby the EU for the sole purpose of keeping the anti - EU, right of centre Alternatif fur Deutschland (AfD out of power has collapsed after Olaf Scholz fired his finance minister on Wednesday evening.

The coalition had been at odds for a while, with serious strains on the budget for 2025 and a disappointing performance by the German economy eliciting increasingly different suggestions on how to face and solve the problems.

Representatives of the three parties making up Germany's center-left government — the Social Democrats (SPD), neoliberal Free Democrats (FDP) and Greens — met for a crisis meeting on Wednesday evening. It lasted only two hours.

The coalition partners no longer had much to say to each other. Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) proposed early elections, Chancellor Olaf Scholz refused and dismissed Lindner from office. Scholz addressed the media at 9.15 pm.

This was the day on which the first three-party alliance in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany spiraled out of control and could no longer stabilize itself.

Many coalition lawmakers had hoped that in the aftermath of Donald Trump securing the US presidency once more, internal strife could be put aside to focus on the geopolitical challenges ahead.

SPD leader Lars Klingbeil told German public broadcaster ARD in the morning: "I hope that everyone will now throw party tactics overboard, that everyone will look each other in the eye in the coalition committee this evening and realise once again what responsibility they now bear".

Alas, it was not to be. Political analyst Thu Nguyen, Deputy Director at the Berlin based think tank Jacques Delors Centre commented on social media: "Trump‘s election did not keep the German government from collapsing for even one day. Not sure this bodes well for those hopeful that it might shock the EU into more common action."

The downfall, or slow motion train wreck as some might describe it, began on November 15, 2023, when the Federal Constitutional Court declared parts of the government's budget policy unconstitutional. It left the coalition ithout a viable financial plan, and exposed the rifts between its partners.

However, the three parties' basic political convictions did not fit together in the first place. The SPD and Greens are essentially left-wing parties that believe in a strong state and need a lot of money for social policy and climate protection.

The economically liberal FDP is of the opposite opinion: It believes in a lean state that should only intervene in exceptional cases and exercise financial restraint. During the election campaign, the party promised to balance the budget and comply with the debt brake enshrined in Germany's constitution.

Since Hausfrau - Volksfuhrer Merkel left office Germany has lurched from one disaster to another mostly due the the departed Chencellor's legacy policies, Net Zero and Open Borders. It was inevitable this dysfunctional coalition would collapse in a shambolic craptangle sooner rather than later.

Whilst in UK Starmer thinks he's safe he has another think coming as he haas never really won the election, his stonking majority it was gifted to him by the ineptitude of the Tries and the apathy of voters, but in just over 100 days he has managed to crystalise the British public against him and his gang of freeloading imbeciles. The omnishambles budget has just about undone Labour.

The can expect total opposition from the public to everyone of their madcap schemes; the protests start with a farmer's rebellion on 19th November in London. Take a golf umbrella, there may be showers of farmyard slurry.

Now The Truth Is Out About the Southport Child Killer, Can Keir SStarmer Stick To The Lie Thar Summer Riots Were “Inflamed” by “Disinformation”?

Last week, three months too late to stop innocent people being imprisoned for 'spreading misinformation',, the government finally came clean about Axel Rudakubana, the teenager charged with the murder of three little girls and injuing ten others at a children’s dance class in Southport last summer. On Tuesday – exactly three months after the knife attack took place – Merseyside Police filed two additional charges against the now 18-year-old: production of the deadly poison ricin and possessing terrorist material, a PDF file entitled ‘Military Studies in the Jihad Against the Tyrants: The Al-Qaeda Training Manual’.

The CPS were ready to bring these charges two weeks earlier on October 15th, the Sunday Times reports, but the Attorney General’s office only gave them permission on October 22nd (for certain serious offences, the CPS needs the Government’s consent to bring charges). The CPS has to date declined to comment on the reason for the delaying another week before the charges were actually laid.

Many of us are wondering when the Government first became aware of these additional facts about Rudakubana. According to police procedure it was more-or-less straight away because the identity of the accused was known to several witnesses and it was also known he was a radicalised Muslim convert who boasted of terrorist links.

“It is not plausible,” former Home Secretary Priti Patel said last week, “for the police, Home Secretary, Prime Minister not to have known about the suspect’s background until this week. This detail would have materialised within two-to-three days of such a devastating and serious incident with the entire security apparatus focusing on finding answers to key questions.”

Thoigh SStarmer and his authoritarian, far left government claim that riots followig the outrage were triggerd by people spreading the 'misinformation' that the perp was a Muslim extremist, in fact those people were only repeating a truth that was already in the public domain and must have been known to the government. It is likely the riots/protests would have gone ahead even if the government had been straight with the public from the outset about this instead of spreading the misinformation that the suspect was a ”Christian, UK-born Welsh boy” who was studing to be an architect.but it would not have been possible of British patriots would not have been able to have been jailed because what was needed for that to happen was the lie and false narrative that the authorities didn’t know the motive and it wasn’t terrorism-related, and the massive propaganda campaign neded to engineer the pathetically inept cover-up ensued. What is also noteworthy are the lies by the courts for the justification for sending these people down. The judges were accusing all that they sentenced of ”inciting violence/hatred” of others, but how can somebody expressing their sentiments as posts on social media platforms be proven to do this?

If this ”inciting hatred/violence” is indeed a thing, why has Nick Lowles not been even questioned by police for his blatant lie about a Muslim woman having acid thrown on her? Is this less bad than calling police ”scum” or insisting the terrorist attack was indeed a terrorist attack?

By now we should all know how the leftist playbook works. It is entirely predicable how the narrative will go. First, there is some horrific attack on innocent civilians somewhere in the West. Then the authorities and media will instantly insist that it was not terrorism. And it certainly was not Islamic terrorism.

The usual claim will be, “We do not yet have any motives for this attack.” Anyone who suggests otherwise and even hints that the perpetrator(s) is/are Islamic will be instantly branded as racists, Islamophobes and the rest. But if proof is there (eg., the guy’s name is Muhammad, and he shouted out “Allahu Akbar” as he carried out his assault), then the spin will continue. We will be told that he was obviously mentally ill, and moreover, he of course acted alone.

And then there is the other side of this tired narrative. If anyone does such an attack who is white, or a white conservative, or worse yet, a white conservative Christian, the authorities and the media will be all over it – immediately and passionately. “See, this is what ugly white nationalism is all about. See, this is conservatism in action. We must clamp down on racism, misinformation and free speech now….”

The double standards here are as plain as day. But we see these scenarios being played out over and over again.

It is worth noting that Starmer’s statement about this not being a time for “politics” and about respect for the grieving relatives of the victims instead of etc. etc. were virtually identical to statements made (in German) by the mayor of Nürtingen, a town of about 50,000 in southern Germany (Baden-Würrtemberg), when the body of a murdered woman was discovered on 27th of October. She was a language teacher for ‘refugees’ and an Iranian man she had been teaching was arrested as prime suspect.

Though possible that the guy simply copied statements made by Starmer in uly but given the many parallells (down to the wording) between statements by English and German authorities during the so-called Pandemic, we have good grounds to suspect that there’s some central coordination behind government responses to events endangering woke narratives. i.e, that – somewhere – there’s a set of PR professionals coming up with canned responses expected to ‘work’ in face of such occurences which are then handed down to the participating governments and other public institutions.

The whole thing stinks.

The Price Of Mass Immigration: Residents of Irish Town Protest After Alleged Gang Rape of 15-year-old Boy

A 15-year-old boy was subjected to what witnesses have alleged was gang rape in the Irish town of Ballaghaderreen on Thursday night. At a protest on Sunday, many linked the incident to recent mass migration and a corresponding rise in crime rates.

Residents of a small Irish town took to the streets in a peaceful protest on Sunday evening in response to the alleged gang rape of a 15-year-old boy in the early hours of Friday. Locals walked through the centre of Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon holding candles to mark what the mainstream media described as as a serious assault on the Irish teenager, but which citizen journalists have reported as an alleged gang rape.

The attack occurred just off Main Street at 12:10 a.m. on Friday with police cordoning off the area.

An investigation into the attack is in progress, but as yet no arrests have been made. However residents believe there is a link between the attack and the mass immigration the town has experienced. On Sunday, angry locals told a TV news team and local media how the town has become a dumping ground for migrants and has experienced skyrocketing crime rates and anti-social behavior in recent years.

Journalist Philip Dwyer, who was at the protest, spoke to several concerned citizens who expressed their anger about the state of the town following the heinous attack.

Speaking on camera, resident Margaret Garvey said, “We have a lot of young men who are not working, who have accommodation that my son couldn’t get when he returned from Australia. There hasn’t been one racist incident.”

“There are refugees fleeing from war, but the people here at the moment are using up all the housing. There’s no housing for the locals. They’re not contributing to the community in any way.

“People are reasonable and welcoming, and this is a wonderful community but it’s been fragmented,” she added.

The head of the Ballaghaderreen Concerned Citizens group said the protest was an act of solidarity with the family of the young victim.

“Regardless of who the perpetrators are, the fact is that a child has been raped in our town. All Concerned Citizens came here tonight to support a family whose child has been viciously sexually assaulted.

Local councilor Micheál Frain blamed the reduced police presence in the town in recent years and claimed to have knowledge of several serious crimes that have taken place in the town in the last few months. He told Shannonside radio that the latest assault was another sign of the “breaking down of law and order” in the community, at a time when its population is rising sharply due to mass migration.

He added that the town “could have been a good news story” for integration if the Irish government had ensured sufficient resources and services, but despite the “huge increase” in its population, none had been forthcoming.

“Instead we’ve had diktat from a government department deciding what happens in regard to placing people in the town with no negotiations with locals,” he claimed.

In March this year, residents expressed their outrage at proposals to install 47 modular homes to cater to 206 Ukrainian refugees in the town of 2,000 people.

The move is similar to the same modus operandi used by the Irish government to place unwanted and unsuitable migrants in other small towns across the country in what nationalist parties like the Irish For Freedom group have called plantations of migrants into communities. It is a story being repeated all over Ireland, in England, Scotland and Wales and throughout western Europe.

After Recent Russian Advances Is Moscow Preparing A Final Push To End The War?

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has for most of this year been depicted in the Western media as a bloody stalemate with neither side able to achieve a decisive military breakthrough, though the usual suspects did (as usual) predict that a turning point had been reached and Ukraine was on the brink of total victory when news of the pointless and inevitably disastrous Kursk incursion broke.

Quite why the Klowns in Kiev launched this idiotic adventure which took their best troops away from defending the front line remains a mystery, the most feasible explanation being that they hoped to convince their western allies they could win if only long range missiles, modern combat aircraft and more, much more money was provided.

The west was never going to fall for it, Russia had held the battlefield advantage in southern and eastern Ukraine since mid 2023 when the much hyped but anticlimactic counteroffensive was seen to have failed. While Moscow’s territorial gains have been slow and unspectacular, the territorial gains by Putin’s army since late 2023 stand in stark contrast to the virtually static front lines of the previous year. Indeed, according to Germany’s Die Welt, Russian territorial gains during October 2024 were the largest since March 2022.

Russia’s offensive operations have focused on the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, with Putin’s troops capturing a number of towns so far this year such as Avdiivka and Vuhledar as they advance toward Pokrovsk. On top of that the heavy losses suffered in Kursk have depleted Ukraine's forces so greatly they are having difficulty in maintaing an orderly retreat. However signs are emerging that, provoked beyond tolerance by the Ukies efforts to prolong the war by bringing NATO / USA ground forces into the conflict, The Kremlin is preparing a final escalation to end the war.

The success of Russia’s Donbas campaign owes much to Moscow’s traditional advantages in munitions and manpower, and a cautious, casualty averse, tactical approach. Casualties have been heavy on both sides, but Ukraine's dead and disabled outnumber Russia's by an estimated four to one according to unbiased sources, largely because the Ukies has repeatedly thrown troops into 'meat grinder' situations. Russia’s offensive has also benefitted from a number of tactical adaptations including the extremely effective use of glide bombs against Ukrainian defensive positions.

Because of all this the narrative is shifting, some mainstream news channel and publications are still arguing for NATO troops on the ground and Planes in the air to had Ukraine a victory, but if that happened it would be more likely to trigger World War Three that bring about the defeat of Russia that globalist in the west hoped would be the outcome of their proxy war, but others including the previously pro - war New York Times are changing the narrative.

The question nobody is asking however, is why this war is still being fought. Ukraine is not losing, it has lost, the nation has uffered or rather been condenmed to a crushing defeat from which it is unlikely to recover. As well as the dead, millions have been forced from their homes and have fled the country, and the economy is in ruins.

So rather than demonising Putin as mainstream media and political establishment have since the outset, we should remind ourselves just who is responsible for displacing millions of Ukrainians and causing the slaughter of so many young men? Russia or USA?

Who is even now shovelling millions of dollars and endless military equipment to a country’s ex-President (Zelensky cancelled elections when his term expired in the first half of this year, since then Ukraine has had no legitimate government,) just to keep a hopeless war going at the cost of thousands of Ukrainian lives?

All Russia has ever wanted was that Ukraine be barred from joining NATO and cease its ethnic cleansing operations against Russian speaking areas in eastern Ukraine.. Why should that be a problem? What has Ukraine got to do with the North Atlantic? Why could the West not keep its word by NATO not expanding “One inch eastward”? Why must NATO continually expand? Is it perhaps simply to keep the money rolling into the Military Industrial Complex, as well as rewarding globalists for their past services (former Netherlands leader Mark Rutte who, having seen his globalist government voted out of office last year, has now assumed the highly lucrative and influential role of NATO General Secretary, being an excellent example)?

Since the unprovoked attacks of the Banderite Ukrainian troops on their fellow citizens in Russian speaking provinces of eastern Ukraine before and after 2014, Russia has also demanded de-nazification of their military. Why should that be a problem?

And the West had its chance of peace in April 2022 in Istanbul when UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, acting as Biden's errand boy, passed on the message from USA that a peace was not desired, and that idiot actor, Zelensky should play the hero and lead Washington's proxy war against the Moscow regime.

And 300,000 Ukrainians are seeking Russian citizenship every year? What does that tell you?

And what happened to the recounted votes in Georgia after the EU and UN refused to acept the election result and accused Russia of rigging the vote? Strange there have been no reports contradicting the pro - Moscow Georgian Dream party’s win. But we had Ursula von der Leyen demanding that Georgians be masters of their own destiny:

“The people of Georgia have been striving and fighting for democracy. They have a right to know what happened this weekend and they have a right to see that electoral irregularities are investigated swiftly, transparently and independently. Georgians, like all Europeans, must be the masters of their own destiny.”

We also had the typical threats from USA, from Matthew Miller, spokesman for the US Dept. of State:

“We do not rule out further consequences if the Georgian government’s direction does not change,” he said, urging Tbilisi to start “withdrawing and repealing anti-democratic legislation”.

Putin has stated on many occasion he regards Ukrainians as fellow Slavs and so have his soldiers who see their fight as an existential war against the West. One hypersonic missile aimed at Kiev could have solved the problem long ago but Putin has no desire to destroy a beautiful city. His fight is with the west and the neo - Nazi pupet government installed in Kiev by a CIA engineered coup in 2013, not with the Ukrainians.

Look at the areas now under Russian control in eastern Ukraine after two and a half years of fighting. If Russia had any interest whatsoever in conquering western Europe, as professional and amateur pundits have declared on an almost daily basis since the first Russian tank crossed the border, Ukraine would have been flattened and probably Warsaw, Budapest, Vienna and Prague would have fallen by now.
