Europe's Net Zero Zealots Exposed As Green Goons By Hormuz Crisis

For several decades Europe's  political and intellectual elites have been trying to brainwash us into accepting a future of medieval serfdom witch a constant torrent of scaremongering propaganda about the imminent threat Climate Armageddon, a destruction of civilisation due to the effects of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emitted by human activities. Yes you read that right, Carbon Dioxide, the trace atmospheric gas without which the carbon based life forms (that's every living thing on the planet, including us humans,) could not survive.

Germany, Europe's most powerful economy, was one of the leaders in this race to decarbinisation (aka deindustrialisation,) and its leaders seldom missed an opportunity to deliver condescending lectures to the rest of Europe about the wonderful world that awaited those nations that rejected modern technology and the prosperity it brought us in favour of windmills and rrewilding. Some of us can still picture the young Joschka Fischer, a Leftist of the Greens party who took oath of office as Environment Minister in the German state of Hesse wearing sneakers and jeans in 1985.

Since then — in the name of Gaia, the Greek Goddess of Earth – Gerany's governing elite have dumbed down their citizens and hamstrung  their once mighty corporations that dominated the global chemical, automotive and precision engineering industries through most of the 19th and 20th centuries. They are no longer Europe's most powerful economy, though still the biggest on the continent, te manufacturing powerhouse that was Germany is now a debt driven ponzi scheme for professional welfare claimants.

Germany’s Energiewende, the EU’s Green New Deal and the UK’s Climate Change Act unleashed punitive green mandates and carbon taxes. The Obama and Biden administrations in the USA joined Brussels, bankrupting the US economy in the process, in setting virtuous examples of ‘climate leadership‘, a defining criterion of energy policy in Western Europe and the US with the significant exception of President Trump’s two administrations. China, India and Russia and others in the Global South went along with the virtuous ride, but only so far as necessary to benefit from the promise of climate finance and reparations.

All this has been made irrelevant by the 2026 conflict in the Persian Gulf and the partial closure of the Strait of Hormuz which has sent European gas prices sharply higher, reviving questions about Europe’s energy vulnerability. 

While Europe successfully reduced its reliance on Russian gas after 2022, it has traded one dependency for another: globally traded LNG exposed to fragile shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el Mandeb (Gate of Tears) strait which controls access to oil and gas facilities on The Red Sea. 

Even Net Zero zealots argue that dependence is not only a concern for energy security; it also creates decarbonization fragility - the risk that reliance on imported fossil fuels undermines the clean energy transition itself. Price spikes push producers toward coal, raise emissions, and give politicians reasons to delay climate action. 

The solution to both problems is the same: faster deployment of domestic clean energy, better electricity grids, and a coordinated EU industrial strategy. Reducing fossil-fuel demand at home is not only a climate goal - it is the most durable foundation for Europe’s energy security. 

The question nobody seems to be asking is why are we aligning with euro our history tells us go west. OK socialist Europe does not like Trump or American free market economics and are quite open about it. For his part Trump has told them what many Americans have always believed, that European leaders are a bunch of limp wristed faggots, obessed with virtue signalling and delusions of moral superiority, content to let the USA be custodian of the free world's security while in Europe, more sophisticated statesmen wallow in existential angst over problems like how much we should pay African, South American and Caribbean nations in reparation for The Atlantic Slave Trade, which no living person had anything to do with in any way.

In insulting UK and European leaders over their reluctance to inolve their cointries in the latest middle east conflict, Trump only says what other presidents were to polite to speak of in public and should be applauded for what th real liberals of former times would call speaking  truth to power (or to be accurate, delusions of power.)

U S Defense Secretaty Hegseth Mocks Britain's 'Big, Bad Navy Royal' as Trump Loses The Plot Over The Strait of Hormuz

 

 

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has rounded on the UK for failing to send warships to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, saying "last time I checked, there was supposed to be a big, bad Royal Navy".

Speaking at a Pentagon news conference, he said: "I think the president was clear this morning in his Truth (Social post) that there are countries around the world who ought to be prepared to step up on this critical waterway as well

Hegseth has rounded on the UK for failing to send warships to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, saying "last time I checked, there was supposed to be a big, bad Royal Navy".

Speaking at a Pentagon news conference, he said: "I think the president was clear this morning in his Truth (Social post) that there are countries around the world who ought to be prepared to step up on this critical waterway as well.

"It's not just the United States Navy. Last time I checked, there was supposed to be a big, bad Royal Navy that could be prepared to do things like that as well.

"He's pointing out, this is an international waterway that we use less than most. In fact, dramatically less than most.

"So the world ought to pay attention to be prepared to stand up. President Trump has been willing to do the heavy lifting on behalf of the free world to address this threat of Iran.

"It's not just our problem set going forward, even though we have done lion's share of preparation to ensure that strait will will be open."

Hegseth's comments come as Trump took aim at the UK for not getting involved in the Iran war. The President continued his attack with a sarcastic rant about NATO members unwillingness to support the war on Iran as America's relations with countries that are typically allies continued to deteriorate throughout Tuesday. Trump shared a Truth Social post whch tried to shame many of them for not coming to the aid of the U.S. and Israel over the Strait of Hormuz after Iran effectively closed the major shipping route following attacks from the U.S. and Israel. As Trump again threatened to pull America out of NATO, because weak leaders of European members of the alliance have been reluctant to help reopen the critical waterway, through which 20 per cent of the world’s oil typically travels. Tehran has effectively closed the strait for weeks, sending global oil and gas prices spiralling. Trump's rhetoric has not helped of course, particularly the President's nonsensical claim that he was negotiating with a new, more reasonable regime in Iran.

In an outburst on Truth Social, Mr Trump wrote: “All of those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran, I have a suggestion for you.

“Number 1, buy from the US, we have plenty, and Number 2, build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT.”

Trump is correct in advising the UK government to start ploiting our own resources of oil and gas, given the rapid deterioration in global political stability we should be producing our own oil and gas again. Also the treasury could do with the money. 

Though the American administration were reckless and foolish to start this campign which military analysts now predict will be a long war (Boggart Blog was one of many publications in mainstream and new media to warn that Iran would be a formidable opponent if attacked, he was right that Iran was and is a threat to us all. 

Not only have most European nations not helped to sudue the fanatical Islamists of the Theocratic regime they have hindered the US / Israeli attempt. Put simply Trump is looking at what he puts into NATO alliance compared to what he gets out. Europeans have derided America for years, at the very least calling them unsophisticated. Well America is now going to go off in a huff and leave us to fend for ourselves. Two Tier Kweir Smarmer helped orchestrate the problem as cover for cosying up further to the EU. Much good that has done us.
