The BBC has enthustiastically take up a report by left-wing think tank Demos, which blatantly conflates all criticism of Islamic otherness with racism, to claim “islamophobia” on social media has “peaked” and imply more censorship is needed.
The left wing think tank, whose Chief Executive Claudia Wood, who previously worked for Tony Blair’s strategy unit, developed a method of supposedly automatically identifying Social media posts and Tweets that are “hateful, derogatory, and anti-Islamic”.Apparently this includes saying things like 'some acts permitted in Sharia Law are unacceptable in the liberal societies of the developed world.'
The report claimed that over 5,000 “Islamophobic” tweets are sent every dayand that the number “peaked” after a number of Islamist terror attacks rocked Europe this July.
“Over July, we identified 215,247 Tweets, sent in English and from around the world… On average, this is 289 per hour, or 6,943 per day”, the report claims.
“Islamophobic tweets ‘peaked in July’”, claimed a BBC article and extended segment on the BBC News Channel, after they were given “exclusive access” the report which they published alongside a series of emotive and subjective interviews with “offended” and aggrieved British Muslims. Does the BBC not think that the attacks on French people, the rape epidemics of Sweden and Germany which are all due to attack on European women by newly arrived migrants from Islamic nations and the slaughter of holidaymakers on Tunisian and Egyptian beaches offend Europeans?
These “possibly socially problematic and damaging” online utterances on the behaviour of Islamic community members in west Europe societies were said to “contain one of a number of specified keywords”.
The National Secular Society (NSS), not a right wing group by any stretch of the imagination labelled the report “a case-study in why we should all stop using the meaningless and sinister word ‘Islamophobia’”, and identified some serious methodological flaws in the way the study was conducted.
Benjamin Jones, the communications officer of the NSS, explained in a blog post:
“In their report Demos selects some tweets it included in the study, which they presumably think are good examples of their methodology in action. A tweet stating “Morocco deletes a whole section of the Koran from school curriculum as it’s full of jihad incitement and violence The Religion of peace” is treated the same way as a tweet saying “I fucking hate pakis” in their methodology.
“One of these tweets criticises an idea. The other is racist. One describes and mocks a belief system, the other (verbally) attacks people. Demos’ methodology treats both of these tweets in the same way.
“I have read (an English translation of) the Koran. Saying it contains violence (it does) is in no way comparable to using racist language.
“This is an appalling conflation, which creates a false moral equivalence between racism and criticising a set of ideas.
“Another tweet Demos offer as an example reads: “Priest killed in #Normandy today by a Radical Islamic Terrorist yet Hillary says that Islam is peaceful! 1274 attacks this year=peaceful? Ok.”
“Is asserting that Islam doesn’t seem to be conducive to peace really ‘Islamophobic’? The BBC apes Demos’ dangerous line, referring not to anti-Muslim, but explicitly to “anti-Islamic” tweets as ‘Islamophobic’.
“… Wanting to jail homosexuals might also be “socially problematic”, but pointing out that half of British Muslims do want to criminalise homosexuality and most think it is immoral would have me labelled an ‘Islamophobe’ under Demos’ methodology.”
The report’s authors claim “we believe it is important that the principle of internet freedom should be maintained… However, racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic and misogynistic abuse can curtail freedom…” A contradictory statement which, put another way is telling people, "You are free to post your opinions online but WE THE INTELLECTUAL ELITE will tell you what your opinions are.
In the methodology section of their paper, the Demos authors write that “An Islamophobic expression was defined as the illegitimate and prejudicial dislike of Muslims because of their faith”, but conceded that, “Islamophobia can take on a very large number of different forms, and its identification, especially within Twitter research, was often challenging.”
“Ultimately, this research comes down to the judgement of the researchers involved”, they add.
According to NSS, Demos clearly failed to successfully identify bigotry, and by conflating it with legitimate criticism Islam and Islamism, they and the BBC have damaged people’s ability to speak freely on the subject.
An example of this conflation came within the BBC’s own report, when a man interrupted one of the Muslim interviewees to say that “there is no sharia law here” and “we’re losing our freedom of speech”.
The man was immediately castigated by the Muslim interviewee, and the BBC ran a second article titled: “BBC Islamophobia discussion interrupted by Islamophobia”, implying that stating Sharia law is not part of UK law is Islamophobic, a ridiculous proposition as stating facts, no matter how much apologists dislike those facts.
Convictions for crimes under Section 127 of the Communications Act of 2003, a law increasingly used to prosecute “internet trolls”, have increased ten-fold in a decade.
Earlier this week, the office of London’s first Muslim mayor announced they had secured millions of pounds to fund a police “online hate crime hub” to work in “partnership with social media providers” to criminalise “trolls” who “target… individuals and communities.” It was not mentioned of course that the Mayor, Sadiq Khan's links with Islamic extremist organisations have been revealed.
In May this year, the EU announced that Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Microsoft (all collaborators with the US Government, CIA and NSA in the Obama Administrations's 'Big Brother Society' total surveillance projects had “committed” to working more closely with them and national governments and “their law enforcement agencies” to help “criminalise” perceived “illegal hate speech” online.

Sweden: Interpreter Suspended For Saying Arab Migrants Lie To Secure Benefits

In the Migration Board’s premises in Örebro, the woman reportedly disagreed with the journalist’s disapproval over Sweden’s tightening of its immigration laws.
The interpreter explained that “many” of the Arabs in Sweden lie and exaggerate about the conditions in which they lived in their homelands, and their personal histories, in order to better their chances of securing asylum and welfare bonuses, Dagens Nyheter reported.
She stated that Arabs do not have it as bad in their home countries as they portray, saying that “They can live anywhere, in Syria or any other Arab nation. Nobody forces them to come here.”
Sweden’s Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency is undertaking an ethical investigation into the case.
Her employer sent an email to Kammarkollegiet, the body which approves interpreters, stating they are taking the allegations seriously. The email noted that the woman has been suspended “until the matter is investigated” and the body has come to a decision with regards to whether she will be allowed to continue working as a translator.
The interpreter herself reportedly has a Christian Iraqi background. Christian migrants to Sweden face threats and persecution from other migrants, most of whom are Muslim, for their religion. So once again we see that Sweden's politically correct left are so profoundly addicted to guilt and self loathing they will, like the rat pack they are, turn on established immigrants who speak the truth revealing that many of the new arrivals are criminals intent of exploiting Sweden's soft approach to immigrant crime.
Sweden accepted more migrants per capita last year than any other European nation. In 2014, there were around 80,000 asylum seekers arriving, rising to 163,000 in 2015.
The Swedish government acted to tighten its asylum laws in August as a result of the enormous economic burden migrants place on the country’s finances and also in response to the rise of the anti - immigration Sweden Democrats party, one of the protest parties that have emerged throughout Europe as the political extablishments' adoption of 'open doors' immigration policies thratened to destablilise European societies.
Anders Danielsson said the Swedish Migration Agency, of which he is the director general, needs an additional budget of $8 billion over the next two years, Haaretz reported

A former politically correct left wing academic whose research was used by Theresa May to make the case for an investigation into illegal Sharia courts in the UK has warned that liberals and left wing 'progressives' are enabling Muslim fundamentalists to spead extremist versions of Islam in the West.
Dutch legal scholar Machteld Zee said that if politically correct thinking and fear of being accused of racism stifles fair criticism of Islam, 'useful infidels' are helping fundamentalist Muslims segregate Islamic communities and encourage them to be more religious and insular. Her warning comes at a time when a report has highlighted how prevelant the practice of child marriages has become among Muslims in the west.

Western Feminists however see no irony in defending Islam while screeching misogyny if a white male politician speaks of women in slightly crude terms.
Zee gained unprecedented access to Sharia courts in the UK while researching for her Ph.D. in law. After sharing her findings, the then-Home Office chief Theresa May ordered an independent inquiry over concerns the courts discriminate against women.
Zee, a research fellow at the University of Leiden (Netherlands) made the remarks in an interview for Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad. She was promoting her new book, Holy Identities: On the Road to a Sharia State. Zee was driven to write the book, an analysis of the problems of the Netherlands’s multicultural society, after spending time in Britain’s Sharia courts. Liberals and left wing progressives have joined extremist Muslim community leaders on calling for Muslims to be answerable only to Sharia Law and for Sharia Courts to have the same status as brith law courts in the UK.
"If you compare the Netherlands in the 1980s with today”, Zee commented, “You will see the increased influence of Islam everywhere. Saudi Arabia and other countries have flooded the world with thousands of imams, Islamic text books, mosques and a lot of money."
Dutch journalist Wierd Duk who interviewed Zee noted that in Holy Identities Zee argues Islamic fundamentalists who share the Saudi regime’s goal of Islamisation are being helped by "useful infidels" — non-Muslim liberal and left wing intellectuals, guilt addicted politicians, and opinion-shapers who think they are serving their community by sucking up to Islamic extremists. This attitude is fostered by the misplaced belief that appeasement of unreasonable demands will encourage extremists to integrate.
Zee replied: “Yes, leading multiculturalists actually believe that Muslims should be shielded from criticism because it would inflict psychological harm. Although there are many Muslims who find this view idiotic, others use it to call those who criticise Islam ‘Islamophobes’ and ‘racists’.”
The Algemeen Dagblad journalist noted that since her work on Sharia courts Zee went from being a self-described liberal left winger, to warning the world "against a lack of knowledge and lack of resistance to advancing radical Islam".
The academic said her research in Birmingham and London opened her eyes to a “parallel society” where “sharia law trumps secular law”. “I object to it because these practices are contrary to the rights of women”, Zee stressed.
In discussing Islam vis a vis cultural integration it is adviable to bear in mind the words of a Hindu politician who recently said, "It is a mistake to believe Muslims will integrate, they have been in India for a thousand years and have not integrated."
