European Governments Hold "Secret" Meeting To Dismantle Borderless Travel

Daily Stirrer team, 21 November, 2015

Since the spring of this year, when numbers of migrant flooding across the European Union's border illegally began to rise exponentially we have predicted that the resultant crisis would bring about the end of the Schengen Agreement - under which 28 EU nations operate open internal borders, allowing free movement of people between EU member states that signed up to be part of the Schengen Zone, unravels in the face of the overwhelming flow of refugees fleeing the war-torn Mid-East.

This crisis is because the indoctrination of Europe's political class with communist ideology by the bureaucrats of the United Nations and its sprawling empire of supra national agencies and QANGOs (Quasi Autonomous Non Government Organisations) led to leaders of Schengen Zone nations simply abandoning the principle that travelers from outside the EU who arrived without proper travel documents, (passports, visas, identity cards etc.) should be turned away at the border of the country through which they tried to enter the EU.

Border Control (immigration) officers were told that anybody from anywhere was free to enter the Europe's Schengen Zone and then come and go as they pleased.

The widely predicted disintegration of Europe’s passport free travel dream began in early September when, with
Germany and Sweden descending into dystopian lawlessness, unmanageable numbers of migrants ignored the law of their host nations, insisted they were only answerable for their crimes under Sharia law, and subjected the peaceful and orderly people of those enlightened nations to an orgy of rape and violence .

Hungarian PM Viktor Orban ordered the construction of a razor wire fence along his country's border with Serbia. Serbia is neither a Schengen Zone nor an EU member country so illegal travellers don't want to go there as with no insane EU rules to bind them the Serbian government do not have to house or feed illegal arrivals. Serbia is on the migrant route via Greece, from Africa and the middle east to Germany and with the Hungarian border closed it diverted the people flow into Croatia which is did its best to handle the influx but is now building its own fence.

Orban's fence marked a turning point in the way Europeans thought about the worsening migrant crisis, the buzz of public opinion became a shout, drowning the serpentine susurrus of government and media propaganda which told us that immigration was good and beneficial. Orban's words struck a chord that resonated in millions of minds when he insisted that the only way to preserve Europe's "Christian heritage" was to limit the flow of Muslim asylum seekers into the bloc. Austria quickly followed it's neighbour, then Slovenia and the Czech Republic closed their borders and began turning back undocumented travellers. Denmark took out advertisements in Turkish and African news media telling migrants, "Don't come here, you are not wanted."

A groundswell of public opinion forced Sweden and even Germany, where opponents blame Chancellor Merkel for causing the crisis, to back off their "We will accept them all" positions as rule of law broke down and the national economies began to suffer.

Meanwhile, Germany obtained permission from the European Commission to introduce "temporary" border controls and extend them beyond an initial two month trial period, as provincial governments in the federal Republic defied Merkel and refused to accept migrants. Even Sweden, a nation of lovely, kind, generous people ruled by self righteous, politically corect idiots, began hauling migrants without proper papers off of trains.

And all of the above was before the Paris attacks.

The ISIS atrocity in Paris and a spate of lesser attacks throughout France exacerbated anti-immigrant sentiment in a nation where the anti - EU, anti - immigration party, The Front National are topping opinion polls ahead of next months regional elections. Once it became apparent that "mastermind" Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a wanted terrorist suspect, had been able to travel from Syria to France, Belgium and various European states and return to the middle east without encountering any obstacle (French authorities didn't even know he was in Paris), a public backlash againsy politically correct all-join-hands-and-sing-kumbayaism was inevitable. The end of the passport-free ideal, a cornerstone of the European dream, was in sight.

On Friday we commented that Schengen was being reviewed in the corridiors of European power. "The European Commission has agreed to present, by the end of the year, a plan to reform the Schengen border code to allow systematic and obligatory checks at all external borders for all travellers, including those who benefit from free movement," French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve told the press, after an emergency meeting.

And according to UK newspaper of record, The Times, European governments are holding "secret" talks over removing borderless travel within region. As Bloomberg reports, "if Schengen is dismantled, the EU likely to break up into several geographical blocs."

A Dutch plan, for instance, "envisages [a] borderless bloc of Austria, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands with border checks for movement between other EU countries including France, Italy, Poland and Greece."

The current system is "simply not working," one unnamed diplomatic source says.

To be sure, there will be those who resist the idea of abandoning the principle on which the EU was built, but with each incremental attack and/or "imminent threat" (see Brussels last night), support for an "overhaul" or even a wholesale abandonment of the agreement will grow until the idea of a European "union", a single nation forged from twenty eight or more nations that differ widely, both culturally and economically, becomes a relic of a bygone, pre-ISIS era.

I don't know why the politically correct left are getting so worked up about The Trump, American politics is even more tightly controlled by big money than the European system, and the really big money (Golman Sachs, J P Morgan, Soros and company) are not going to let him win. It would upset thrir buddies in Saudi Arabia too much.
