Elon Musk’s opinion column
in German weekend news sheet Welt am Sontag, triggered a huge outpouring of anger and outrage from the
establishment and mainstream media figure because in the text he gave his endorsement for the upcoming German election to the Alternative
for Germany (AfD) party, routinely labelled 'far right' by far more authoritarian parties in Europe.
All sorts of unhinged accuasations flooded print and broadcast news while internet comment threads on leftist websites saw contributors go into meltdown. Claims that Musk is participating in “election interference” and harming Germany democracy were common. But seriously, can Elon Musk, for all his billions actually affect the election result, and if the AfD scores a surprisingly good result, how will Germany’s power elite react?
It is unlikely that
Musk’s endorsement will move the needle all that much. Musk is already
demonized across the EU for his takeover of X and shift towards
supporting right-leaning candidates. In Germany, there is a constant
stream of anti-Musk content produced on a daily basis. Musk writing an
op-ed in Welt is hardly going to convince the majority of Germans, who
likely already have an unfavorable opinion of Musk. On the other hand, the ongoing efforts of the establishment to have AfD banned from the election as 'a threat to democracy' could drive many voters to the upstart party and if AfD poll so wel they cannot be excuded from government as they previously have been, Musk's intervention might make him a handy scapegoat when the establishment try to get the result overturned as they most certainly will.
The AfD is already polling at 19 percent or so, and a poll in November set the party’s voter potential at 25 percent, which means there is a definite ceiling to the party’s support. Could Musk raise that ceiling?
Elon is a mega disrupter. As a result, he’s a target for the 'woke; left, the pensees unique, those who will not tolerate disrupters, dissenters or diversity of opinion. Space X alone has seized control of the aerospace market, wrecking the business models of all other commercial space efforts mercilessly. Starlink is conquering the SATCOM market at a global scale.
Funds from Starlink in turn fund the Starship program, Earth’s biggest and largest spacecraft to date, which alone will drastically reduce the cost of material per pound to space than any other platform. Tesla is his vision for a future that isn’t dependent on fossil fuels. And he is fighting to maintain that vision.
His endorsement of the AfD isn’t an endorsement of hate, as the established press and political class in Germany would have you believe. It is an endorsement for disruption; a change from the current norm that has proven itself to be obsolete and in need of change. He sees war as a civilization killer. He sees waste, fraud, and abuse as cancers to democratic institutions. And if an opportunity arises to address such problems, he takes it.
All of the businesses he’s involved in have visionary purposes behind them. The Boring Company. Neurolink. Optimus. His work with AI. Tesla Wall, and so on. This isn’t to say he’s not without faults. But one thing is for sure. This world is flying towards WW III faster than it ever has. And that needs to be disrupted more than anything else. And if Elon can help to achieve that in whatever contribution he can, good for him.

A Week Before Election 30% Of German Voters Still Undecided
Polling companies in Germany are indicating that support for Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservative Christian Democratic Party is still slipping with the election only one week away. More disturbingly perhaps for Hausfrau - Volkfuhere Merkel is the news that over a third of Germans are still unsure how they will vote. An opinion poll published today (15 September) on Friday showing the number of undecideds was not coming down fueled uncertainty about the kind of coalition that will emerge from an election on September 24.

Merkel Calls for Beginning of Coalition Talks With Greens, Free Democratic Party
German Chancellor Angela Merkel officially announced on Saturday for the first time that her conservative bloc of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and its Bavarian sister party Christian Social Union (CSU) will seek to form a coalition government with the centre right Free Democratic Party (FDP) and left wing loony Greens.
Elections take place in Germany this Sunday, September 24, for the federal assembly (Bundestag) and the presidency (Chancellor). While Angela Merkel looks set to win a fourth term as Chancellor and the most likely outcome of the election is another "Grand Coalition" between Christian Democrats and Social Democrats that coalition will be a much-weakened if late polls are to be believed.

Re-Branding Dissent - The Quiet Destruction Of Democracy
Many people, all the contributors to this publication among them, fear that democracy is being destroyed. OK, OK, hipsters will say but ‘we’ve never had democracy’, or, ‘it was destroyed long ago’, but left wing deceit aside, I think its worth actually thinking about how, many forms of democratic expression, effective dissent and peaceful self-determination are being outlawed and abolished in a sustained attack on free speech and civil rights.

Democracy: Does It have A Future Or Has Global Totalitarianism Won?
The General Election in Greece (January 2014) could have much wider effects than most elections in small nation, the vote could decide the future of the European Union and have a major breaing on whether democracy can survive the push towards government by a global, corporate oligarchy. It look like being an interesting few months if the anti - EU party wins as polls suggest they will.

Representative government Is Being Replaced By A Global Technocracy
When Peter Mandelson, the architect of the New Labour project that gave Britain it's most authoritarian government in three hundred years and sold out national sovereignty to supranational bureaucracies, says that representative democracy is dying, he does not sound as if he will be one of the chief mourtners. What can we do to rescue our democratic freedoms from smooth faced technocrats like Mandelson?
