The True Debt Disaster America Faces - Only A Fraction Of Government Debt Is Known To The Public

Politicians and the media talk about the $17 trillion debt the US Government owes to creditors. They are lying, the $17 trillion is a fraction of what america owes. The real figure is $200 trillion. And the loonytoons economics of the Obama administration and the dimwit economic advisers they have hired from Harvard Business School are driving that up at an accelerating rate.

The $17 trillion is not the total government debt, it is the national Debt, i.e. what the government owes the American people. The figure represents the value of US Treasury bonds issued over the years by various administrations and bought in by the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the USA, either as stimulus money (Quantitative Easing) or to prop up the US dollar when it was under pressure due to weak economic performance or international crises.

Several prominent economists have recently spoken out about how this $16.7 trillion figure is used to misdirect discussion about the US economy and conceal the true situation. Dr Laurence Kotlikoff , professor of economics at Boston University and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, was recently interviewed by the Financial Sense Newshour about the true state of fiscal affairs in the nation that likes to boast it has the world's most powerful economy. He has recently revealed how the government uses creative accounting to hide from the public just how bad a financial mess the USA is in. Dr. Kotlikoff estimates the US actual debt-load, at $205 trillion versus the $17 trillion you often here in the news.

STEM Education and Scientism - the curse of modern education. We need a renaissance

Education, education, education, said Prime Minister Tony Blair. He meant indoctrination, indoctrination, indoctrination of course. The thing the Politically Correct intellectual bullies of the new left fear most is an educated working class capable of questioning the dogmas of the scientific dictatorship.

In common with Bill Clinton, Gerhard Schroeder and Jaques chirac in his own ear, and Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and Francois hollande among the current generation Blair, extolled the benefits of the STEM education, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, subjects on which, in the view od politicians, all education should focused from a very early age.

It's bollocks of course, from an early age children need to be given a broad base on which they can later build their specialisations later. The Renaissance education which my generation had the benefit of, was designed to do this. It produced whole, rounded human beings not nerds with heads full off book learning and no life experience, or semi - autistic OCD bell ends who get twithchy if the have not heard the word 'science' for more than thirty seconds.

The values and purposes of Renaissance education were to improve the society, increase the economy, and refine religious beliefs by equipping people to question dogma. The social lives of people were greatly influenced by advancements in education during the Renaissance. More people then ever before were sent to schools and educated.

The Theory of The Renaissance Education or Liberal Arts Education as it is sometimes called was that a broad grounded in language, mathematics, the arts and natural sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) prepares its graduates to pursue a wide range of interests in later life.

Rather than producing highly focused people with a very narrow skill set, the Renaissance Education should equip those who benefit from it to pursue a wide range of interests throughout their lives.

Area 51: Another Million Points To The Conspiracy Theorists

Helllllooooooo all you truth deniers out there. So Area 51 is real.

Remember how you used to rubbish everything us truth seekers told you, those open minded people who question everything and think for ourselves?

"Oh no, the government would never lie to us," you said, "oh no, scientists would never participate in a Conspiracy of silence with politicians and big Business there are no conspiracies except in your fevered imaginations" you told us. Area 51 is a fairy story, the government is not experimenting with changing the weather and 'the science is settlled.'

Now don't get the idea I totally believe this stuff. I don't disbelieve it either, but I do know from personal experience governments cover up a lot of intersting information. In fact I have been part of cover ups (not about UFOs but, well without giving official secrets away, exposing people to nasty shite while denying it was harmful. My approach to Area 51 then is, I don't care much if UFOs are real or not.

My reason for posting such items is that some people, whose belief in reason, order and logic should be pitied, get so would up at even jokey references to UFOs, ghosts, paranormal activity etc. that it's our duty to annoy them. And another thing, if these eejits are so sure UFOs etc. don't exist, why do they get so worked up about people talking of such things. I mean I'm sure God does not exist but I would not dream of telling other people they should not pray or talk about The Bible.
