Greta Thunberg Arrested Again

Greta Thunberg has today been arrested for taking part again in a protest action that sought to make a point through illegal actions, having been detained by police officers in Central London. Joining a Fossil Free protest, she and other proestors blocked the entrance to the InterContinental Hotel where an Energy Intelligence Forum conference was being held. (BBC News 17 - 10 - 23)

Poor little Greta, two years ago she was such a major media figure that if she farted it made headlines around the world, presidents and prime ministers sang her praises and the woke generation proclaimed her their goddess. Now she has to resort to protesting outside hotels where she once dined as guest of honour, and breaking the law to get a mention in the press or TV.

Give it another year, as the 'net zero' and climate catastrophe narrative continues to collapse under a twin barrage of reason and ridicule and the Swedish trollette will not even be able to get arrested.

Greta Thunberg has been announced as the headliner for this year’s London Literature Festival.

The 19-year-old climate activist will use her slot to launch The Climate Book, a collection of more than 100 contributions from figures such as economist Kate Raworth, writer and activist Naomi Klein and author Margaret Atwood.

Hosted in collaboration with Penguin Live at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, her speech will be live streamed for free around the world.

Australian TV Show Host Wrecks Greta Thunberg, Other Climate Activists in Classic Segment

Back in September 2019, there was a day of so-called “climate strikes” all over Australia that caused quite a stir in the Aussie media.

Many of the attendees were young people who were skipping school after Swedish teenager and global climate activist Greta Thunberg put out a call to action and encouraged teenagers, in so many words, to make their voices heard before it was too late.

In response to the protests, one Australian media figure, in particular, was particularly incensed at what he viewed as young folks being spoiled and brainwashed and took to the airwaves to voice his frustrations over the hypocrisy of those young climate activists, many of who are actually pampered snobs being shamelessly used and carefully manipulated by adults who should know better.

Video of that segment in which the man – conservative commentator Alan Jones – reads a piece called “Growing up” that someone sent to him going off on Thunberg and other youth climate change activists recently began circulating again on Twitter, Rumble, and other social media platforms and has since gone viral.

It’s a great clip, a classic for sure. Below is the transcript and below that is the video, which was juxtaposed next to Thunberg’s now-infamous “how dare you!” speech at the United Nations, which she gave a few days after the protests (transcript below the video window):

TRANSCRIPT:

“To all the school kids going on strike for climate change, you’re the first generation who’ve required air conditioning in every classroom. You want TV in every room and your classes are all computerized. You spend all day and night on electronic devices.

More than ever you don’t walk or ride bikes to school, but you arrive in caravans of private cars that choke suburban roads and worsen rush-hour traffic. You’re the biggest consumers of manufactured goods ever. And update perfectly good, expensive, luxury items to stay trendy. Your entertainment comes from electric devices.

Furthermore, the people driving your protests are the same people who insist on artificially inflating the population growth through immigration, which increases the need for energy, manufacturing, and transport. The more people we have, the more forest and bushland we clear, the more of the environment that’s destroyed.

How about this? Tell your teachers to switch off the aircon, walk or ride to school, switch off your devices and read a book, make a sandwich instead of buying manufactured fast food.

No, none of this will happen, because, the piece says, ‘you’re selfish, badly educated, virtue-signaling little turds inspired by the adults around you who crave a feeling of having a noble cause while they indulge themselves in Western luxury and unprecedented quality of life’.

The piece ends by saying ‘wake up, grow up, and shut up until you’re sure of the facts before protesting.'”

Can’t argue with that! In a slightly different version of the clip where Jones notes he wants to send the piece he read to climate fraudster Al Gore.

Clean Green Power Sucks - China Goes All Out For Coal

~~lying leftie paskudnyaks~~clean, green, save the planet machine and the worshippers of Greta Thunberg are always eager to tell us that China is the world's biggest investor in sustainable energy and has more wind turnbines installed than any other nation on earth. It is the worst kind of lie because it is true, but only tells half the story. And someytimes being told half the story creates completely the wrong impression in the mind of the audience.

In this case the weirdie bearies and tree shaggers are giving the impression that by trashing our economies in the west, trying to meet unrealistic targets for eliminating carbon emissions we are being good global citizens, while by pointing out the stupidity of such ambitions shows we are evil capitalist sociopaths intent on destroying the planet.

So what is the full story?

While it is true that China has installed huge numbers of wind turbines, this is nothing to do with cleaning up the environment. China is installing wind turbines because then need electricity, end of story. At the same time China is planning to massively increase its coal-fired energy production. This makes a nonsense of claims by gullible Western politicians and dishonest environmental activists that China is as keen as anyone to do its bit to ‘combat climate change.’ by reducing CO2 emissions.
A report from Bloomberg reveals that China now has enough coal-fired generating plants in the various stages of planning and construction to match the entire capacity of the European Union, and that's on top the ones they already have up and running. So much for doing their but to clean up the environment and show support for the movement against highly polluting fossil fuel.’
Bloomberg tells us:

"The nation has almost 148 gigawatts of coal-fired capacity under active construction or likely to be resumed after being suspended, Global Energy Monitor, a non-profit group that tracks coal stations, said in the press release Thursday based on plant-by-plant data. That’s almost equivalent to 150 gigawatts of existing coal fleet capacity in the EU and more than the combined 105 gigawatts under construction in the rest of the world, it said."

China's plans contrat with those of many other countries, including France's goal of being a zero carbon economy by 2040 and the U.K.’s pledge to close all coal plants by 2025, (both of which cannot be achieved without irreversible damage to the economies of those countries. Beijing remains committed to coal as its biggest and cheapest source of electrical power, and also to sidelining the developed economies and achieving global economic hegemony. In effect The People's Republic has thrown down a major challenge to global emissions reduction targets. Its additions in the 18 months to June dwarf declines elsewhere in the world, according to the report. Meanwhile western leaders are intent on taking orders from the Sewedish baby troll and destroying civilisation, all are so firmly committed to helping China's world domination bid carbon free economies with the exception of Donald Trump who doesn't seem to be committed to anything except making The Democrats look stupid.

None of this is news to climate realists, I have been warning for ten years that China was rapidly expanding coal fuelled energy generation while western leaders were talking about returning to medieval technologies like windmills. One of the main arguments put by climate change sceptics against concerted government action by the West to decarbonise its economies is that it takes no account of emerging economies like Nigeria's, Pakistan's Indonesia's, India’s and, especially, China’s. Any attempts to cut carbon dioxide production in Western economies are more than offset by the growth in China’s CO2 output alone. And China's is matched by the others mentioned.

This latest development was predicted in a report published last year by the Global Warming Policy Foundation.
