Human Extinction At The Hands Of AI by 2030 - Well Maybe Not.

In this week's news coverage, mainstream media has devoted a lot of screen time and column inches to a non - story about an obscure tech - nerd resigning from a job in an AI startup because he fears that the lack of ethics among the Silicon Valley billionaire psychopath class will be so blinded by the pursuit of profit they will look away while intelligent machines unleash rogue AI agents that could kill us all by 2030.

It seems the aforementioned billionaire psychopaths, Bill Gates and company have given up on trying to create the virus that would start the next pandemic and the next COVID psyop because all thinking people know that despite a hugely expensive propaganda campaign to convince us that COVID would kill us all if we did not comply with orders issued on behalf of the billionaire psychopaths, the disease actually did not kill all that many people, and most of those who did die were a thousand years old and had at least a dozen deadly ailments.

I point this out because the recent scaremongering around Artificial Intelligence becoming an existential threat has all the hallmarks of a fear-and-panic psy - op to convince us we are in great danger and only by surrendering more of our rights and freedoms to increasingly fascistic governments can we be safe. Whether the takeover by AI is oligarchic insanity of socialist stupidity, powerful people are determined to make it a reality.

Now some habitually sceptical old gits like me may be thinking at this stage “hmmm, haven't we been somewhere like this before”?

But I’m sure the terminally gullible, those who are wise enough to know we must never question authority, will hasten to reassure you that this is the way real life definitely works. It is pure coincidence that suddenly everyone across the entirety of the political punditry spectrum is engaged in amplifying the same message: AI is coming to replace all us difficult humans.

But as I commented in a thread on one of the national news organisation's sites a few days ago, no matter how many very powerful computers are linked together in a neural network, no matter how many terabytes of stolen date are in its Large Language Model, so long as there is one human around to throw the main power switch to 'OFF' and cut the feeds to the internet as soon as an AI agent steps out of line we have nothing to fear. So Artificial Intelligence does not threaten the existence of humans

We need to keep our compasses aligned to true common sense. IMHO, we are in the midst of a CIA style info shock & awe op staged by all the first tier players that control contemporary civ: corporate capitalists, their politicians, their government and their media. As I’ve mentioned many times over the past few years, the CIA and spook nation operate in the fog of information available…. “the fog of war”. 

We’re being sprayed with every crisis they’ve ever dreamed up, all at once, in an effort to save the Casino which is obsolete and in collapse. They still have buckets of humanity’s money assets hoarded to themselves, but they are paranoid that the People will react to their nightmare and take it all away For good. 

The governing class are way in over their heads. They are desperate enough to allow a war-mongering psychopath as prez, blow up geopolitical energy; blow up the domestic and world economy; sell off, strip-mine and clear cut national forests; non-liability clause all corporations and gov’t agencies; invest in, subsidize and arm Artificial Intelligence, data centers and micro-nukes; terminate all regulatory constraints for the 1%… all just to COVER THEIR COLLAPSE of THEIR DREAMED OF TECHNOCRTIC UTOPIA taking us with it.

How do we stop them? By keeping our eyes on prize – what we want Life to be, not them. A real democracy where we make the rules and we get the rewards. Tax the rich into civility enforced by lack of excess capital and access to more excess capital which enables their projecting of authority to decide the future of humanity. We have right to make and enforce rules that make life not only safe for humanity but enjoyable. It’s up to us, we can and must control AI.

A Muslim View Of The Conflict In Iran And Tehran's Theocratic Regime

 

In the past few days we have seen the world divide into the usual binary over the US / Israeli attacks on Iran. People on the more conservative end of the political spectrum are supporting Trump's bid to bring down Iran's brutal, theocratic regime, at the other end leftists are in the streets protesting in support of Iran and Gaza. And in the middle, where the balanced, common sense view of the situation should be is the usual void.

 

Now this blog hsas spent the past few days trying to report on the development of the conflicts and its likely effect on the prospetity and lifestyles of people in the east and west, particularly as, with support from China, Iran has the ability to close the sea route throug the Stait of Hormuz which is vital for oil transportation. 

 

Our neutrality was not because we did not want to take sides, although we always try to avoid taking sides in international squabbles, but because the situation is for more complex than we in the west, with only the limited and extremely biased information provided by mainstream media to inform us, can be aware of. It seems that people in other Islamic nations feared and despised the Iranian regime a much as we in the west.

 

As usual the "We're the good guys, they're the bad guys," approach from both sides is totally inadequate. Fortunately  we spotted this post, on Facebook, from a Moroccan Musim who does understand the Iran problem, and as there is an open invitation to share the post for information, we bring it to you today.

For days now, I have been watching a strange narrative spreading across Western media and social networks: the claim that the confrontation with the Iranian regime is somehow “Israel’s war” and that the United States was dragged into it.

As a Moroccan Muslim and an Arab who has spent years studying the politics of our region, I can say clearly: this argument is not only false—it is intellectually dishonest.

Let us start with a simple fact. The Islamic Republic of Iran has not spent the last four decades declaring war only on Israel. Its leaders openly speak of fighting the “Great Satan” — the United States — and the “Little Satan” — Israel. For 47 years, their ideology has been built around exporting revolution, destabilizing the Middle East, and spreading militant networks across the region.

This is not an Israeli fantasy. It is Iran’s own declared doctrine.

Iran finances militias, trains terrorist organizations, and builds missile and nuclear capabilities while threatening not only Israel but also Arab countries, American forces, and global stability. From Lebanon to Iraq, from Yemen to Syria, the fingerprints of Tehran are everywhere.

So when the United States acts against that regime, it is not acting on behalf of Israel. It is acting to defend its own strategic interests and the stability of the international system.

The idea that Washington needs to be “manipulated” by Jerusalem into recognizing this threat is absurd. 

Every American administration of the 21st century—Republican or Democrat—has stated clearly that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons is a fundamental national security priority.

The debate in Washington has never been about whether Iran is dangerous. The debate has only been about how to stop it.

Some believed diplomacy and concessions would change the behavior of the clerical regime. Others believe that a regime driven by revolutionary ideology and apocalyptic theology will never voluntarily abandon its ambitions.

But pretending that the Iranian threat exists only in Israel’s imagination is a dangerous illusion.

There is also another uncomfortable truth: Iran today is not an isolated regional actor. It is deeply connected to the broader geopolitical challenge facing the West. 

Tehran has become a strategic partner of Russia and an economic partner of China. Chinese purchases of Iranian oil have helped keep the regime alive despite international sanctions, while Iranian drones have played a central role in Russia’s war in Ukraine.

This is not a local Israeli issue. It is part of a global strategic confrontation.

Those who repeat the slogan “this is Israel’s war” are ignoring the obvious: a nuclear-armed Iran would not threaten only Tel Aviv. It would threaten the entire Middle East, including Arab countries, and it would destabilize global security for decades.

And yet, instead of confronting this reality, many prefer to blame Israel. They claim that the Jewish state somehow controls American policy, pushes Washington into wars, or manipulates global politics behind the scenes.

These accusations are not serious geopolitical analysis. They are recycled conspiracy theories that have circulated for generations.

Criticizing governments is legitimate. Debating military decisions is legitimate. But reducing complex strategic decisions to the idea that “Israel controls America” is not criticism—it is propaganda.

Israel does not need to invent the Iranian threat. Iranian leaders themselves have repeatedly called for the destruction of the Jewish state. They openly describe Israel as a country that could be erased with a single nuclear weapon. No responsible nation would ignore such threats.

Standing against the Iranian regime is not about serving Israel. It is about preventing a radical theocracy from acquiring the most dangerous weapons on earth and using them to reshape the Middle East through intimidation, violence, and nuclear blackmail.

If that threat disappears, Israel will be safer. But so will Arab nations, Europe, and the United States.

Recognizing that reality does not require being Jewish or Israeli.

Sometimes it simply requires honesty.

And as an Arab Muslim who believes in stability, sovereignty, and the future of our region, I refuse to repeat narratives that protect the most dangerous regime in the Middle East while blaming the only democracy in the region for defending itself.

Foreign Youth Violence Soars In Germany , According To New Study

An analysis of youth violence in Germany has not only doubled overall, but violent crimes committed by teenagers and pre - teens has more than doubled in just a over a decade.

The study, published by the State Criminal Police Office of North Rhine-Westphalia and the University of Cologne, shows that in North Rhine-Westphalia, violent incidents among those under 14 have doubled since 2013, according to Bild.

In particular, 408 violent crimes were committed by 7th graders who were born in a foreign country in 2013, the latest year for which figures are available. This means the rate of violent ofending has risen 380 percent to 1,972. Meanwhile, the number of foreigners in the system only rose 135 percent, from 40,000 to 94,000.

It is refreshing to see figutres like this being published and discussed in mainstream media when for years the political establishments have been so desperate to conceal the link between immigration and crime.

Over the same period the number of German offenders in the same age group rose 23 percent, from 2,902 to 3,579. However, many of these German offenders also have a foreign background, with some figures stating that 35 percent of students have a migration background in North Rhine-Westphalia, the German state which has the largest share of foreign nationals and those with an immigration background in its student body among all German states.

Daily news headlines showing young foreigners committing violence in Germany is not just “isolated reporting,” but represents a real and growing trend. According to a new study, youth violence has not only doubled overall, but violent crimes committed by seventh graders have soared 383 percent in just a little over a decade.

The study, from the State Criminal Police Office of North Rhine-Westphalia and the University of Cologne, shows that in North Rhine-Westphalia, violent incidents among those under 14 have doubled since 2013, according to Bild.

In particular, there were 408 violent crimes by 7th graders who were born in a foreign country in 2013, which has risen 383 percent to 1,972. Meanwhile, the number of foreigners only rose 135 percent, from 40,000 to 94,000.

Meanwhile, the number of German offenders rose 23 percent, from 2,902 to 3,579. However, many of these German offenders also have a foreign background, with some figures stating that 35 percent of students have a migration background in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The German state has a larger share of foreign nationals and those with an immigration background in its student body than other German states, which has led to growing stories of chaos, disrespect, and violence.

“There is an increasing loss of control in schools. Teachers are insulted, threatened and pushed. Only a third of young people believe that teachers intervene in fights,” wrote Bild about the new study.

In one school with a 98 percent migration background, one teacher reported being “spit on” and “insulted,” including by the parents of students she teaches.

Many attacks of late have become high-profile news incidents. The victims are often Germans, but foreigners also have suffered from such attacks.

This is one of the prices ordinary people have to pay for the cultural genocide being wrought by globalist elites on the developed world.

Police say they targeted the victim with punches, kicks and even hammers. The Death Of Privacy - But Have We Ourselves Murdered It?

The News this week has thrown up some interesting questions. While the main headlines have concerned immigration,  the economy, climate change, Trump, Labour MP plotting against their leader, the meltdown at the BBC, and the failure of policing there have been many second layer stories about privacy, or the lack of it in the digital era. UK citizens health records released on the dark web, Prince Harry and not-Princess Meghan's latest whine, the publication of the Jeffrey Epstein files across the pond, and the usual plethora of reports about surveillance, data mining by Big Tech corporations and abuse of users rights on the world wide web.

It seems there is now little distinction between the public and private world. We have allowed a diluted concept of privacy in which those in authority decide what civil rights and liberties rights we have rather than our right to privacy being the default position. This new privacy lite serves not as protection from authority and public scrutiny, and as a sanctuary for the inner self and a shelter for intimacy — but merely as data protection.

Through it all, we blame the convenient scapegoat of the moment: the internet. But this gets the timeline wrong. By the time social media arrived, we were already living in a post-private world. The digital revolution simply gave us more efficient tools to do what we were already doing: performing our identities, seeking validation through revelation, and treating intimacy as a public commodity. Nobody forced us to hand our data to Microsoft, Meta or Google, were nudged into it. But nudging (propaganda) and manipulation of information by Artificial Intelligence are the tools of authoritarianism.
 

This matters, because if we fail to understand the problem, we’ll never find the cure. All the digital detoxing and platform regulation in the world will never restore what was lost long before the internet became a publicly accessible medium. Far better, then, to face up to how we voluntarily dismantled the idea that some things should remain hidden, that mystery and restraint might be virtues, and that not everything must be shared.
 

The business models of technology giants like Google and Facebook, which base their revenue streams on the sale of data which they collect without consent (i.e. steal,) clearly violate people’s privacy, as does total surveillance by state or business agents. But we would be kidding ourselves if we thought that technology alone has undermined the moral status of privacy and private life. The wecams through which internet 'influencers' invite us into their world and wannabes seek the unhealthy attentions of obessives are the logical endpoint of a cultural revolution that began decades earlier. 

Not everybody will share the scepticism of the Boggart Bloggers about “mass media” communications, broadcast news and the majority of news comment and opinion – as good for nothing beyond cheap entertainment that panders to the lowest common denominator while performative legislation by political groups, for example the UK Online Safety Bill, will suppress free speech (the purpose for which it was really intenden,) while doing nothing to make the www safer for users.

Many of us had already given up on the BBC before the extent of its far left and globalist bias was revealed and major print news publications such as the Daily Telegraph and the Guardian as amusement-fodder as much as anything. Although they do offer occasional insights into the passions driving our fellow humans.

As founder and editor of the Boggrt Blog titles and a retired computer professional whose experience goes back to  the days of punched cards and huge piles of printed output I, like many of my contemporaries marvel at how the potential of communications technology to destroy our privacy developed over the past fifty years has been abused, and the misuses it has been put to by the billionaire psychopaths of Silicon Valley, the scams, the junk phone calls (which would not be possible had the digitised telephone system not been integrated with the internet,) the data mining, propaganda and politically motivated lies.

It is hard to dis agree with the statement that 99.9% of ‘internet-based communications’ is waffle, clickbait, advertising, porn or propaganda. But over the years, we  learn how to filter most of that out and extract the gems that lie buried in the shite.

As in life we must all, if we want to save the useful internet, take responsibility ourselves instead of leaving the task of cleaning up to others.

Climate Pseudo - science Catastrophe Predictions Proved Wrong Again

 

 

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will attend the COP30 climate summit in Brazil in November to accelerate Britain's efforts on pursuing net zero and driving green growth, his spokesperson said on Monday.

"The prime minister will attend the COP30 climate summit to be held in Belem, Brazil next month, despite reports previously suggesting he would skip the meeting, the location of which is controversial as a large slice of Brazilian rain forest has been destroyed to accommodate it. This turnaround has surprised mainstream media but Sir Slimer changed his mind because net zero is the economic opportunity of the 21st century," his spokesperson said.

Downing Street confirmed on Monday that Sir Keir would attend the summit in Belem, near the mouth of the Amazon river. "We're restoring the UK as a global leader on climate action and green growth, and you can expect to see the PM driving forward that agenda at the COP30 summit," the Downing Street press release gushed. The number or prominent politicians and scientists who have questioned the climate change narrative is never mentioned of course.

We Boggart Bloggers are of the opinion that Slimer's change of mind is really because with a triple Tsunami of brown smelly stuff about to hit Britain's biggest array of wind turbines from three different directions; stalling the grooming gangs inquiry, the failure of the government's flagship Net Zero policies, and pulling the plug on a court case that woud expose China's malign influence in matters of national scurity, our snivelling wimp of a leader would rather be 9000 miles away helping to lay the foundations for global technoloical tyranny. 

Or perhaps Starmer, ever the opportunist who misses the opportunity has been swayed by hysterical claims from the climate catastrophe lobby citing new research which shows a vast increase in the number of wildfires around the world and feels this is a crisis he understands and in which he can play the role of world statesman. 

Unfortunately the wildfire hysteria was wrong, just the usual scaremongering based on mathematical models rather than reality and probably inspired by the failure of Net Zero policies. In genuine research  data set after data set shows that the world burns ever less in terms of burned area. Disrupting this unhelpful reality, a splashy paper in Nature last year finally found a worrying narrative: “extreme wildfire events” had more than doubled globally over the past two decades. Using satellite data from 2003 to 2023, the authors clustered fire hotspots and tallied their “fire radiative power” – a proxy for intensity. Predictably, this ignited a bonfire of the vanities for politicians and the media. From The New York Times to CBS News the headlines blared warnings of a planet ablaze, seeing fiercer fires as proof that we are hurtling toward a global inferno. 

Analysis shows that extreme fire is down by 35 per cent over the same period. The fires are burning less intensely, and we already knew that less area is getting burned as time goes by – but this contradicts the extreme climate script, so as with the redent delaration by 1900 scientists that there is no climate crisis, we heard crickets from major media outlets.

Perhaps Starmer sees hilself as the charismatic leader who, by deploying his lawyerly skill of changing the truth by twisting the meaning of words, can save the planet from a greener and more prosperous future thanks to a modest increase in atmospheric Carbon Dioxide. 

But while the Prime Minister is clocking up more air miles and dodging the flak for his governments abject failure there is an destructive apocalypse happening every single day somewhere in the British countryside as Mad Ed Miliband , the minister for Net Zero destroys our economy, living standards, food producing land and historic landscapes by covering over thousands of acres with millions of poisonous solar panels bearing long term heavy metal components and to build solar energy plants that produce very little power (and none at all during the hours of darkness when we still need electricity,) and has driven our energy bills to the highest in the world. 

 Please, please write to you MP and your Local Council, to resist by all means 'pressures' from central Labour government, block roads, dump dung on the Town Hall steps,lie down in front of the bulldozers, do anything you can to stop approvals of all renewable energy plants beginning tomorrow until the promises of abundant cheap energy are fulfilled or more likely proved false, and their long term harm to the environment is revealed. 

And furthermore we must keep Starmer away from all international summits of world leaders because the man is so pathetically desperate for approval from powerful tyrants like China's Chairman Xi he's likely to return and announce that he has sold the nation to China and in future we will rent it back from them for a sum set at 105% of GDP annually.

Estonia’s foreign minister described the flights, which lasted for an unusually long 12 minutes, as an “unprecedentedly brazen” intrusion.

Three Russian fighter jets violated Estonia’s airspace on Friday for an unusually long period, some 12 minutes, in what Estonia’s foreign minister called an “unprecedentedly brazen” intrusion over the NATO country.

NATO responded to intercept the Russian jets, Allison Hart, the military alliance’s spokeswoman, said in a statement on X. “This is yet another example of reckless Russian behavior and NATO’s ability to respond,” she said.

Tensions were already high after at least 21 Russian drones flew in Polish airspace 10 days ago, prompting NATO to scramble fighter jets to shoot down some of them. That incursion was regarded by Polish officials, who provided an updated count of the drones, as a deliberate effort to test the alliance’s readiness and a dangerous escalation of the war in Ukraine.

The Russian Gebera decoy drones that flew over Poland have a range of some 600 kilometer (370 mi). If they had been launched from behind Russian lines they could not have reached Poland. The drones, which do not carry any weapons, were most likely abandoned in Ukraine, patched up and reprogrammed by Ukrainian services, and sent towards Poland. This was completely in line with the ways Ukraine has tried to drag NATO into its war even as allies try to persuade the Ukies to seek peace and end the slaughter.  

The 'unprecedentedly brazen intrusion' (according to warmongers in mainstream media) into the airspace of Estonia, if it has happened at all, did not take place over Estonia's mainland but near Vaindloo, (red circle on the map,) an uninhabited rock in the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea, some 26 kilometer (16 mi) north of the Estonian coast.

The Gulf of Finland is a long branch of the Baltic Sea with Finland to the north and Estonia to the south. At its eastern end is Russia and the city and port of St. Petersburg. Since the breakup of the Soviet Union  the Gulf has been designated as neutral water, with none of the nations on its shores claiming territorial rights.

The NY Times piece does, of course, NOT mention that. It is worded to make the reader believe that Estonia was somehow endangered.

The Russian military says that its jets did not violate Estonian airspace: According to Russia’s deputy ambassador to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, the Russian jets conducted a planned flight and “did not stray from the agreed route, nor did they cross into Estonian airspace” as they flew over “the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea, over three kilometers from the island of Vaindloo.”

Estonia could have established these facts on its own but doing so was not on Tallinn’s agenda, the Russian diplomat said. “Its goal is different: to stir up hysteria and accuse Russia of provocations despite any facts and common sense,” he added.
