Continued fighting in Yemen between Houthi rebels seeking to overthrow the tyrannical Sunni Muslim government and ground and air forces of the SSaudi Arabian led coalition backed by the Obama administration in the USA killed at least 66 people in 24 hours, medics and security sources said Sunday, as pro-government forces pushed to oust rebels from a key stretch of coastline. Airstrikes by US supplied Saudi fighter and bomber aircraft and fighting on the ground around the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait killed at least 52 fighters among Houthi rebels and allied troops loyal to ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh, the sources said.

Forces loyal to President Abed Rabbou Mansour Hadi and his Sunni Muslim regime launched a vast offensive on Jan. 7 to retake the Dhubab district overlooking the Bab al-Mandab, a key maritime route connecting the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. In the recent fighting fourteen members of the coalition force lost their lives

Coalition warplanes and Apache attack helicopters have been pounding rebel positions with bombs and missiles in support of pro-Hadi forces advancing toward the Red Sea city of Mokha, military sources said. By Sunday, loyalist forces were within 10 kilometers of Mokha, they said, but the offensive has been slowed by mines laid by rebels.

The coalition intervened in Yemen in March 2015 in support of the beleaguered president as the Iranian backed Shi'ite rebels seemed set to topple the regime. Despite the coalition's superior firepower, the rebels and their allies still control the capital Sanaa and much of the central and northern highlands, as well as the 450-kilometer Red Sea coast.

United Nations peace envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed arrived in Sanaa Sunday for talks and to push a peace plan that would restore a cease-fire and lead to a political transition in the country.

Inauguration crowd size lies: The Hypocrisy Of Mainstream Media Is Infinite When They Can Publish Shite Like This

We'll get to when credible reporting of The  President exactly and when and how mainstream media killed serious journalism in a minute. First you need to take a really deep whiff of the shite. This shovelful is from Washington Post.
The traditional way of reporting on a president is dead. And Trump’s press secretary killed it

The presidency is not a reality show, but President Trump on his first full day in office made clear that he’s still obsessed with being what he once proudly called “a ratings machine.”

He cares enough about it to send his press secretary, Sean Spicer, out to brazenly lie to the media in his first official briefing.

“This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration — period — both in person and around the globe,” Spicer said. And he added a scolding about widespread reports that differ from his evidence-free assessment: “These attempts to lessen the enthusiasm of the inauguration are shameful and wrong.”

The mash up on which comparisons were based. Left wing media claimed the pictures were taken at the same time of day but eight years apart. The time quoted was actually the time the composite image was created. Tracking down the original images was a pain but when I did, the file headers told a different story

Crowd size experts estimate Trump’s audience at far fewer than the million or more that Trump is claiming, and at far less than the size of the following day’s women’s march, which the new president has said little about. And side-by-side photographs showed the contrast between the comparatively thin gathering for Trump’s inauguration and the record-setting one in 2009 for former president Barack Obama’s first. Well OK, but are these the same crowd size experts who claimed over a hundred thousand had turned out to see Obama when he visited Berlin, when eye witnesses said they doubted there were even ten thousand?

So so the mouthpiece of Bezos' Brace New World of Oligarchical Collectivism thinks Trump's press secretary killed objective reporting of The President. I did not know that abstract entities like organisations, The Washington Post in this case, could develop dementia but only a day after Barack Hussein Obama left The White House, The WaPo seems to have forgotten the eight years of fawning sycophancy that was presented to us as objective reporting of that incompetent clown's failed administration.

I must admit Wapo's vitriol in commenting on the actions of The President is a refreshing change from the last 8 years, when the gist of most of your questions to the White House consisted of asking President Obama how it felt to be so awesome. This newspaper, ano others of note including The New York Times, LA Times, Boston Globe and Chicago Tribune, and UK's Guardian and Independent, as well as television news, kept their collective tongues inserted in The White House arse throughout the Obama presidency and were (and are) considered by many not living in the Beltway to be nothing more than the propaganda department of the globalist movement and it's US franchise holder, the Democratic Party.

Since when did the size of an inauguration crowd become a criterion for Presidential performance? Oh, that's right, when Donald Trump was inaugurated, having humiliated Obama's anointed successor 'Crooked Hillary' Clinton. It was the left leaning newspapers and broadcast news organisations that killed the traditional way of reporting a President and politics in general a from the day a man whose skin colour placed him beyond criticism announced he was running for the US presidency..

But on the bright side, mainstream are making themselves obsolete. They turned The Obama's into a celebrity couple on a par with Kim Kardishian and Kanye West, Beyoncé and Jay Z or The Osbournes (although Sharon and Ozzy were always much classier that Barack and Moochelle) Who needs dreary old mainstream media when new media can deliver fake news much quicker, easier and cheaper?

Now I neither know or care if Donald Trump's crowd was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration both live and around the globe on TV and the internet. What I did notice, but only after the controversy arose, was that in a mash up imaged claiming to show both events, by enlarging and sharpening the picture I could see that the half representing Trump's crowd, which looked to be less than Obama, was taken much earlier in the day. When I opened up the file headers the data showed the picture for the Trump event was time stamped 11:04 a.m. The picture for Obama's inauguration was taken at 12:09. As both inaguration ceremonies began around 2 p.m. you can draw your own conclusions. But:

1. This was the largest audience, including those on the Lawn and those viewing either by traditional media channels or on the Web; and
2. The attempts to lessen (let's say "denigrate") attendance, whether physical or virtual, are pathetically dishonest.

Spicer was CORRECT on both counts. The media's attempts to belittle Trump were based on lies, deceptions and misrepresentations. That does not however mean Donald Trump will be a great president any more that the celebrity status bestowed on Obama by the media indicated he was even an adequate leader.
