Syria Falls To Rebel Forces As Assad Flees This Is Bad News For Us All

UPDATE: It is now confirmed that former president Assad is in Russia and has been granted asylum by the Russian government.

 

Damascus has been overrun by Jihadist fighters according to all sources in the middle east. Unverified reports say President Assad and senior members of his government have fled to Dubai or elsewhere but the situation overnight is fluid and there are conflicting reports of the likely destination of Syria's leadership. 

Some say Assad may be in Latakia on the coast, or headed there, others claim he is headed for Russia. Another the deposed president was in a plane that was shot down en route to Iran and Assad was killed in the crash. What is clear, however, is that the jihadists have entered the heart of the capital.

"Syrian rebel sources tell Al Jazeera Arabic that government forces have withdrawn from the Defence Ministry headquarters in Damascus," the report further indicates. State TV channels are in the hands of the anti-Assad factions.

Unverified social media reports further say that anti-Assad forces, a rag bag army of religious fanatics and Marxist extremists under the leadership of  Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), but held together only by their hatred of Assad anf the west, have essentially been able to walk into suburban or countryside areas of the capital with no resistance. Again, what points to the likely reality of a secret deal which allows Assad's safe exit and that of his top officials is the fact that all of this has happened with little bloodshed.

 It is this latter point which makes us Boggart Bloggers, nasty old Sceptics that we are, suspect that all may not be as it seems to be. Firstly, although the civil war in Syria has been going on since 2011, it has recently been confined to minor skirmishes in the more remote parts of the country; second, the speed of the collapse and the fact that the regimes military forces did not put op any kind of a fight invites questions; third, the timing of this sudden uprising which as previously is the work of rebel groups backed by the USA and NATO, just as Ukraine, the protagonist in another of America's proxy wars seems ready to throw in the towel. All this makes us suspect that rather than Assad's allies, Russia, China and Iran abandoning him, some kind of deal has been done. What that may be we cannot yet know, but rather than its being turned into a NATO friendly Islamic power in the east Mediteranean we bear it may become another Afghanistan. 

The fall of Syria's government brings to an end the last secular and Baathist state in the Middle East after 50+ years of Assad family rule. Whatever happens next, it is becoming clear that the Baathist Syrian state under the Assad family, which goes back to 1970 when Hafez Assad first emerged in power, will never be the same again. More concerning is what will happen in the Midanddle East now.

Many Christian, Alawite, and Shi'ite families in the capital area are fleeing to the Lebanese border, not waiting around to take their chances under Taliban-style rule, despite dubious claims that HTS plans to respect 'diversity' and pluralism. One can only pity the people of Syria who cannot get out when we recall the way the Yazidi, Druze, Syriac Christians, Syrian Jews and Shi'ite Muslims and in particular the women of those minorities were brutalised by the ISIS / Al Nusra forces in the last uprising, which was also sponsored by the US / NATO World Domination Club.

The fall of Syria bodes ill for the world. The dark vision of the Jewish-American-English-Wahhabi axis is casting its ugly shadow on the region. Intolerance, hate, war and ethnic cleansing are its offspring.
Backed by the western powers, this unholy alliance has  destroyed all secularists in the Middle East to pave the way for religious extremists. The followers of this cult need to foment those sorts of conditions for certain self-made prophecies to come about, to appease certain gods of war and death. And they will keep going, and going and going. Until they meet REAL resistance. Not half baked resistance.

The Salafits and Wahhabists will not rest until  is wiped out. Once that is done, it will not satiate their appetites. They will remain unhappy, a hole in their souls will never be filled with love or light. It is a black hole. They will turn on someone else to pulverize. People of Cyprus, Greece and The Balkans be warned. And more fool the leaderrs of nations further west for deluding themselves that they can cut deals with and control this monster they created to advance their agenda.

Like a cancer, they cannot stop on their own. Someone else's military has to intervene. But now we have enough power to destroy mankind within minutes.  Every human now stands for this evil, or they stand against it. The middle ground is thinning.

Putin, Macron To Hold Urgent Talks To Halt Military Escalation In Ukraine

 

While President Biden and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson continue to talk up the idea that Russia is committed to an invasion of Ukraine that could happen "within the next few days, (even though that next few days has stretched from late January all the way through February without any have evidence that Russia had any plans to invade,) French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed in a phone call on Saturday, to take urgent measures to deescalate the situation in eastern Ukraine, the Elysee Palace announced in a statement on Sunday. 

 The two leaders  also discussed Putin's plan to withdraw Russian troops from Belarus now that President Likashenko is formly back in charge after a bid by 'unknown non - state actors' (i.e. the usual suspects',) failed bid to forment a colour revolution to overthrow the regime..

 Putin and Macron agreed to work within the 'Normandy format' - which will also include German and Ukrainian leadership - and will begin discussions "in the next few hours" in order to negotiate terms for a ceasefire in the Donbas region. (Picture: Zero Hedge)

As a result of the telephone discussion a meeting between French and Russian ministers of foreign affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian and Sergey Lavrov, will occur in the next few days. A statement issued by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs set out the scope for these negotiations.

"This diplomatic work should make it possible to progress on the basis of the latest exchanges by involving all the stakeholders (Europeans, allies, Russians and Ukrainians) in order to achieve, if the conditions are met, a meeting at the highest level in to define a new order of peace and security in Europe."

The Kremlin confirmed the statement, saying "it was agreed to continue contacts at various levels. Serious concern has been expressed over the sharp deterioration of the situation on the line of contact in Donbass. The President of Russia noted that the escalation has been caused by the provocations of the Ukrainian security forces," the Kremlin statement reads in translation.

According to RT, the Russian online news service that has strong links with The Kremlin, Putin brought up "the ongoing pumping of Ukraine with modern weapons and ammunition" by NATO countries, which is pushing Kiev "toward a military solution to the so-called Donbass problem." Because of the "intensifying shelling," citizens in self-proclaimed breakaway republics in eastern Ukraine had to evacuate Russia.

The Ukranian government in Kiev continues to accused America and Britain of hysteerical rhetoric as they continue to claim Russia plans an imminent invasion, but offer no evidence to back uo these claims other than pictures showing large numbers of Russian troops stationed withing 50 miles of the Ukraine border, which is exactly where they have been since 2014 when the Obama regime in washington backed by David Cameron's coalition UK goverrnment, draged us through a very similar exercise in warmongering. 

Separately from the Putin / Macron initiative,Russia and Belarus will extend their joint military exercises, according to Bloomberg report based on information from sources in the Belariusian Defense Ministry.

The training exercises were scheduled to finish on Sunday and Russia had said it would return its troops to their bases afterward. While those drills are in Belarus, which is north of Ukraine, the defense ministry statement cited the deteriorating situation in eastern Ukraine for the extension,, a likely reference to NATO’s recent deployment of more troops eastward. -Bloomberg

In the past week, since the shelling of an infants' school which may have been accidental or a false flag event according to various reports, fighting between Russian-backed separatists and Ukrainian  government forces in the breakaway Donbas region has escalated - with allegations of violations on both sides of a 2015 ceasefire, The Minsk agreement. 

According to Ukraine, the separatist leaders are increasing the rate of attacks, including on civilian targets, to force a response and create a pretext for a Russian invasion. Donbas leaders say they're responding to Ukraine firing on them.

If You Want To Know How Reliable Those Syria Gas Attack Reports Are, Read This

We were among the first to point of the flaws in the latest Syria Chemical Weapons Attack narrative after the story broke. While news agencies and mainstream media were reporting that the nerve agent used was Sarin gas we spotted that a news photo of 'White Helmets' first responders were not wearing full hazmat suits as they treated victims, in fact they did not even have proper gas masks and were working in the affected area with skin exposed. sarin is a very potent toxin and kills within minutes when inhaled in low concentrations. It can also kill or immobilise by contact with skin.

But there were the white helmets happily trotting around in overalls, with necks and parts of the face exposed, with no gloves and wearing sandals with no socks. And we are relying on reports from this discredited organisation for news from the gas attack. The pictures could be fake of course. Some say the whole incident was faked and indeed it would not make any kind of sense for Assad to launch such an attack, which allegedly killed 80 people including many women and children. It would of course make perfect sense for the US / NATO coalition to create a diversion from the slaughter happening in Mosul as US and coalition forces work alongside Iraqi troops to liberate Iraq's second largest city from the occupying ISIS forces.

Far greater numbers, including women and children, are dying every day in Mosul but Iraq is nothing to do with Assad, in fact the government of Iraq is, and has been since Saddam Hussein was deposed, an American puppet regime. So attention has to be diverted from that effing fiasco, where the Iraqis, Kurds and Iranians were doing great until the USA interfered and changed the agenda.

So what of that latest gas attack in Syria. Well it bears many similarities with previous chemical weapons incidents in the Syrian civil war for which Assad was initially blamed but which subsequently turned out to have been perpetrated by by US funded, armed and backed Islamic extremists (you know, those 'moderate rebels' Obama liked to blether about, the one who moderately took young Christian and Alawi Muslim girls as sex slaves, beheaded aid workers with kitchen knives and posted video of the act on YouTube and also liked to make videos of themselves cutting the vital organs from people they had killed, and EATING them.

The fact that the plan involves delivering a CW (chemical weapon) that is “similar to those Assad should have,” clearly suggests that the idea is to stage a false flag chemical weapons attack that could be blamed on Assad by Gulf states like Qatar and NATO powers.

If the claim that such as plot was “approved by Washington” can be verified, then the Obama administration is complicit in a war crime.

According to Cyber War News, which details the process of how the emails were hacked and includes screenshots of the leaked documents, the hack also uncovered, “extremely personal information,” including copies of passports of Britam employees, some of whom appeared to be mercenaries.

A full list of all the hacked documents can be found here. One software systems administrator who analyzed the ‘header’ details from the email in question concluded, “I have to admit that the email does indeed look genuine….all these facts check out. So with Mythbusters objectivity I have to call this one plausible.”

Online business profiles confirm that both David Goulding and Philip Doughty work for Britam Defence.

Last year, reports began to circulate that that US-backed rebel fighters in Syria had been given gas masks and were willing to stage a chemical weapons attack which would then be blamed on the Assad regime to grease the skids for NATO military intervention.

Soon after in August, President Barack Obama warned that the use or even transportation of chemical weapons by the Assad regime would represent a “red line” that would precipitate military intervention. French President Francois Hollande followed suit, stating that the use of such weapons “Would be a legitimate reason for direct intervention.”

At around the same time, a source told Syrian news channel Addounia that a Saudi company had fitted 1400 ambulance vehicles with anti-gas & anti-chemical filtering systems at a cost of $97,000 dollars each, in preparation for a chemical weapons attack carried out by FSA rebels using mortar rounds. A further 400 vehicles were prepared as troop carriers.

The attack would be blamed on the Syrian Army and exploited as an excuse for a military assault. A March 2012 Brookings Institution report entitled Saving Syria: Assessing Options For Regime Change outlined this very scenario – where a manufactured humanitarian crisis would be cited as justification for an attack.

Yesterday, Israel’s vice premier Silvan Shalom told reporters that if Syrian rebels obtained chemical weapons from stockpiles belonging to the Assad regime, such a development would force Israel to resort to “preventive operations,” in other words – a military strike on Syria.

In December, a shocking video emerged of Syrian rebels testing what appeared to be a form of nerve gas on rabbits, bolstering claims that the rebels had already obtained chemical weapons.

As Tony Cartalucci also highlights, “Mention of acquiring chemical weapons from Libya is particularly troubling. Libya’s arsenal had fallen into the hands of sectarian extremists with NATO assistance in 2011 in the culmination of efforts to overthrow the North African nation . Since then, Libya’s militants led by commanders of Al Qaeda’s Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) have armed sectarian extremists across the Arab World, from as far West as Mali, to as far East as Syria.”

Last month, 29 different US-backed Syrian opposition groups pledged their allegiance to Al Nusra, an Al-Qaeda-affiliated group which, as the New York Times reported, “killed numerous American troops in Iraq.

Numerous reports confirm that Al Nusra is the leading front line fighting force in Syria and is commanding other rebel groups. Given their prominent role, allied with the fact that the terror group has been responsible for numerous bloody attacks in Syria, the notion that the Obama administration would approve a plot that could see chemical weapons fall into the hands of Al-Qaeda terrorists could represent a foreign policy scandal even bigger than Benghazi-Gate.

In a related story, the Syrian Electronic Army, a separate hacktivist group, continues to release hacked files and emails from numerous sensitive foreign ministry and military websites belonging to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, including emails sent between these countries.

Continued fighting in Yemen between Houthi rebels seeking to overthrow the tyrannical Sunni Muslim government and ground and air forces of the SSaudi Arabian led coalition backed by the Obama administration in the USA killed at least 66 people in 24 hours, medics and security sources said Sunday, as pro-government forces pushed to oust rebels from a key stretch of coastline. Airstrikes by US supplied Saudi fighter and bomber aircraft and fighting on the ground around the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait killed at least 52 fighters among Houthi rebels and allied troops loyal to ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh, the sources said.

Forces loyal to President Abed Rabbou Mansour Hadi and his Sunni Muslim regime launched a vast offensive on Jan. 7 to retake the Dhubab district overlooking the Bab al-Mandab, a key maritime route connecting the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. In the recent fighting fourteen members of the coalition force lost their lives

Coalition warplanes and Apache attack helicopters have been pounding rebel positions with bombs and missiles in support of pro-Hadi forces advancing toward the Red Sea city of Mokha, military sources said. By Sunday, loyalist forces were within 10 kilometers of Mokha, they said, but the offensive has been slowed by mines laid by rebels.

The coalition intervened in Yemen in March 2015 in support of the beleaguered president as the Iranian backed Shi'ite rebels seemed set to topple the regime. Despite the coalition's superior firepower, the rebels and their allies still control the capital Sanaa and much of the central and northern highlands, as well as the 450-kilometer Red Sea coast.

United Nations peace envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed arrived in Sanaa Sunday for talks and to push a peace plan that would restore a cease-fire and lead to a political transition in the country.

Has Obama Admitted Defeat In Syria?

On Wednesday 17 February (unremarked by mainstream media in Europe and the USA), President Obama appeared to admit there is no chance of victory for the 'Syrian opposition' (i.e. Obama's beloved 'moderate rebels', the same people who earlier in the conflict were ripping vital organs from the still warm corpses of Assad supporters and Syrian Christians and noshing them, posting videos of the feast on YouTube) according to White House and Pentagin sources Obama thinks the aformentioned human organ noshers Free Syrian army is outclassed by the Russian military, "the second-most powerful in the world." Russian analysts wonder what to make of the president's words, who exactly he thinks is the most powerful military nation on earth, the Chinese maybe? and whether the comments indicate that the war in Syria is nearing its end.

Speaking at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) conference in California on Wednesday, the US president was asked by Bloomberg reporter Toluse Olorunnipa whether he had been "outfoxed" by Russia's President Putin in Syria (to which the only honest answer would be, "Yes, totally.". Russia had managed not only to avoid getting caught in a quagmire (contrary to US expectations), but had succeeded in bolstering the Syrian government, whose army has been making major advances around Aleppo, while US-backed rebels have been on the retreat, Olorunnipa continued.

Put on the back foot, Obama blustered, insisting that actually, Russia would "absolutely" get involved in a quagmire, and that "about three-quarters of [Syria]…still under control of folks other than Assad." The President failed to mention or more likely just does not know that most of the rebel controlled territory is sparsely populated, and that about 80% of Syria's population is in areas controlled by the Assad regime.

More importantly, the president conceded that "yes, Russia has a major military. Obviously, a bunch of rebels are not going to be able to compete with the hardware of the second-most powerful military in the world."

WHAT! Not even with all the hardware and money the USA has thrown at them in a bid to depose Assad without and American bodies showing up on YouTube?

As a result of this, Obama suggested, "the only way to do that is to bring some sort of political transition."

Analyzing the president's words, Svobodnaya Pressa columnist Andrei Ivanov remarked that Moscow, for its part, has always been in favor of a peaceful settlement and that in fact, "it is the opposition which has disrupted the peace talks, by setting impossible demands, including that Bashar Assad step down."

"However," the journalist added, "Obama's words do mark an interesting change of rhetoric. Earlier, Washington had insisted that the opposition fighters they were preparing would simultaneously fight both the terrorists and overthrow Assad.

It is surprising that after his track record of failure, fuck up and total embarrassment (remember that time he tried to suck the King of Saudi Arabia's cock?) there are still a few people out there who think he's The Obamessiah. US Paradrops Arms And Ammunition To Syrian Rebels

As we reported last week, the USA has capitulated in the face of Russian air and ground strength, and abandoned the ill conceived (there's understatement for you) strategy of funding, training and arming islamic extremist groups in Syria fighters and using them them against the well drilled (by Russian officers) and well armed (with Russian weapons) troops loyal to President Assad. Credit where it is due, the rebels were doing OK, with US, French and British air support, until Russia intervened directly.

The Pentagon’s pledge to recruit 5,400 properly "vetted" anti-ISIS rebels by the end of the year was certain to end in tears. How the world laughed when word got out that only “four or five” of these fighters were actually still around. The rest are allegedly killed or captured, but more likely they took the monay and weapons they were given and went into business fighting as mercenaries for anti - Assad forces paid by the US (vial illegal oil trades), Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

This debacle has cost US taxpayers an estimated (very conservatively) $40 million over the last six months.

Because its latest anti - Assad initiative tirned out such an embarrassment, the Pentagon has come up with a new idea to support Syria’s “freedom fighters” as they fleeing under bombardment by Russian air force jets, planning no doubt to regroup and relaunch the jihad, possibly in Iraq, Afghanistan or somewhere in Africa.

The new plan: "helicopter ammo". No, really. The US is dropping "tons" of ammunition into the middle of the Syrian desert and hoping the “right” people find it.

No, don't titter at the back there, that's Obama and The Pentagon's Plan B.

Here’s how CNN reported it:

U.S. military cargo planes gave 50 tons of ammunition to rebel groups overnight in northern Syria, using an air drop of 112 pallets as the first step in the Obama Administration's urgent effort to find new ways to support those groups.

Details of the air mission over Syria were confirmed by a U.S. official not authorized to speak publicly because the details have not yet been formally announced.

C-17s, accompanied by fighter escort aircraft, dropped small arms ammunition and other items like hand grenades in Hasakah province in northern Syria to a coalition of rebels groups vetted by the US, known as the Syrian Arab Coalition.

And here's a bit more color from a news channel generally considered The Republican Party propaganda department, Fox News:

The ammunition originally was intended for the U.S. military's "train and equip" mission, the official said. But that program was canceled last week.

"So now we are more focused on the 'E' [equip] part of the T&E [train & equip]," said the official, who described equipping Syrian Arabs as the focus of the new strategy against ISIS.

The Defense Department announced Friday that it was overhauling the mission to aid Syrian rebel fighters. After the program fell far short of its goals for recruiting and training Syrian fighters, the DOD said it would focus instead on providing "equipment packages and weapons to a select group of vetted leaders and their units so that over time they can make a concerted push into territory still controlled by ISIL."

The shift also comes as Russia continues to launch airstrikes in Syria, causing tension with the U.S. amid suspicions Moscow is only trying to prop up Bashar Assad.

Col. Steve Warren, spokesman for the U.S.-led anti-ISIS coalition, confirmed that coalition forces conducted the airdrop on Sunday.

"The aircraft delivery includes small arms ammunition to resupply counter-ISIL ground forces so that they can continue operations against ISIL. All aircraft exited the drop area safely," he said in a statement. All pallets successfully were recovered by friendly forces, a U.S. official said.

Yes, "friendly forces." Who will no doubt be aiming "friendly fire" at Syrian Chistians, Jews, atheists and those unfortunate people who just happen to be the wrong sort of Muslim.

US aircraft just parachuted 50 tons of ammo stacked on pallets into the most dangerous and volatile place on earth with no way of knowing if it falls into the "right" hands, or those of ISIS, the PKK, Al Qaeda, Shi'ite militias or gangsters. (It goes without saying that the term "right" is meaningless there, they're all bastards). Meanwhile, the Russians are dropping bombs on the same extremists who are set to receive and use the guns and ammo Uncle Sam is dropping against Syria's legitimate government.

If it somehow falls into the "wrong hands", and it would not be the first time that happened (see Mosul, and revisit the $500 billion worth of weapons US military advisers "misplaced" in Yemen). This is of course great news for the U.S. military-industrial complex which has supported all the neo Con Obama administration's wars. Such cock ups mean more war, more profit, more promotions. And if it turns out they mean more "terrorist attacks" on U.S. "friends and allies", and perhaps even on U.S. soil, well so long as the gated communities and exclusive suburbs where the elitists live are not attacked, that's go to be good for business too.
