Five Suspected Terrorists Arrested Outside RAF Fairford, An Airbase Used By U.S. Heavy Bombers For Strikes On Iran

UK authorities have apprehended five men on suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack outside RAF Fairford, a British air base that also hosts US warplanes involved in strikes on Iran.

According to a statement by Gloucestershire Police Assistant Chief Constable Richard Ocone on Sunday, police received “a call relating to three suspicious vehicles travelling towards RAF Fairford.” The local media later described the vehicles as three white vans.

Officers arriving at the scene subsequently arrested five individuals near the village of Whelford “on suspicion of committing offences under the Explosives Act,” with Counter Terror Police investigating what officials characterised as a “major incident.”

Dr Antonio Giustozzi, a senior research fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, later told reporters that the operation appeared to have been an attempted a suicide attack using several vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices. This suggests a type of attack typical of well known terror groups sponsored by the government of Iran

The BBC published an unverified photo (below) purportedly showing the arrested suspects sitting half-naked on the ground with their hands behind their backs and faces blurred.

A British Army bomb disposal unit was deployed to the scene to examine the vehicles, with approximately 85 households evacuated as a precaution, Ocone told reporters. Several British media outlets have carried what appears to be helicopter footage depicting a specialized wheeled robot operating near the vans.

Local residents who have nowhere else to stay have been provided temporary shelter inside a leisure center.

Commenting on the incident in a post on X, UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham urged “people not to speculate while the authorities establish the full facts.”

Later on Sunday, Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Temporary Chief Constable Maggie Blyth gave an update, saying that the authorities believe the “matter to be contained.” However, she declined to reveal whether the police were looking for any more suspects.

Commenting on the incident President Donald Trump said those arrested had been "looking to do big damage", adding: "We had them under view for a long time, and we got them."

UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said he had been in contact with his US counterpart, Pete Hegseth.

A USAF spokesperson said its personnel remained vigilant but did not discuss specific force protection methods.

The US Department of Defense meanwhile raised the threat level at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk - which hosts the USAF's 48th Fighter Wing - to its second-highest category.

Though this is being treated as a one off incident Bogart Blog sources report that UK security forces are braced for further attempts to attack U and US assets. It has long been known that among the thousands of illegal immigrants smuggled into England by small boats and other irregular modes of transport there have been an unknown number of people trained in terrorist warfare. Security services suspect these people have formed into terrorist cells distributed around the country. These re allegedly linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Trump Says Deal With Iran Is Close - Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei Says 'Death To America'

 

 

Two days ago US President Donald Trump told a White House press briefing an agreement with Iran has been "largely negotiated" and details will be announced soon.

The deal would include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, he said on Saturday, without giving further details.

Trump wrote on social media that he had a "very good call" with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and others about a "Memorandum of Understanding pertaining to PEACE".

"An agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalisation between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed," his Truth Social read.

In response an Iranian foreign ministry spokesman told state television that US and Iranian positions had been converging in the last week, but warned that did not mean agreements would be reached on key issues and accused the Americans of "contradictory statements.

A British Prime Minister of the 1960 once famously said 'A week is a long time in politics.' That was then and this is now, a digital age of information overload when a week is almost eternity and Two days is an aeon.

 While Tump was again calling for peace today (May 26 ), Iranian leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message  calling for greater unity across the Muslim world against the United States and Israel, saying that the chants “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” will become the rallying slogans of Muslims and “the oppressed of the world.” 

Khamenei’s message was to mark Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage. In it, Khamenei described a historic struggle against U.S. and Israeli influence in the Middle East, repeatedly invoking the revolutionary slogan “Allahu Akbar” as the “weapon” that had enabled Iran and its allies to resist outside pressure.

He said Iran had succeeded in “making the Zionist regime helpless under its severe blows during the second imposed war” and in delivering “a harsh slap to aggressive America,” while thwarting efforts to force Tehran into submission.

The statement also praised what it called the “Resistance Front,” saying Iranian forces and allied fighters in Lebanon had secured “notable victories” against “the two terrorist armies, armed to the teeth by the American-Zionist side.”

Khamenei coupled the aggressive rhetoric with a broader appeal for cooperation among Muslim-majority countries, calling on Muslim leaders to “no longer serve as shields for American bases” while denouncing Israel as a “faltering” regime that was nearing “the final stages of its cursed life.”

Khamenei’s message came as the United States, Israel, and Iran remain locked in a tense standoff following months of fighting that included U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities, Iranian retaliation across the region, and disruptions to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

An aspect of the conflict's wider impact that is not being discussed in mainstream media is the increase in terrorist activity since the outbreak of hostilities initially between Israel and Iran around three months ago. Iran had long been known as the main sponsor of The Muslim Brotherhood, an organisation formed to take jihad into the western democracies. Yet many western leaders are so committed to virtue signalling they refuse to ban the organisation. 

Although the ceasefire Trump negotiated has largely held for the past month, with only minor violations by both sides, negotiations continue over a proposed memorandum of understanding intended to end hostilities and establish a framework for future talks.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on May 25 that negotiations with Tehran were “proceeding nicely” but warned that failure to secure an acceptable agreement could lead to renewed military action.

Earlier today we heard that overnight.US forces carried out “defensive” strikes on a missile site and two Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) mine-laying boats, which officials said were targeting the United States.

Iran immediately accused the US of violating the ceasefire (although to be fair both sides have been violating it on a daily basis,) and criticised the “bad faith and unreliability” of Washington, adding that it would be held accountable for “all consequences arising from these hostile acts”.

“Without any doubt, the Islamic Republic of Iran will leave no aggression unanswered and will not hesitate in defending Iran’s sovereignty with the utmost determination,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.

And so it looks as if we are back to square one. Start stocking up your survival cupboards folks, oil and a lot of things that depend on  oil are going to be in short supply for a while yet.

Trump Claims US Progress In Talks With New, More Reasonable Regime In Iran. Iran Denies All Knowledge Of Talks.

 US President Donald Trump today gave observers the impression that he is himself suffering from the legendary Trump Derangement Syndrome as he severed all links with reality in claiming he is making "great progress" in negotiations with a "new and more reasonable regime" in Iran, but again threatened to blow up Iranian power plants if a deal is not reached soon.

While America's erstwhile European allies clutch their pearls and mutter nervously about imposing regime change Trump knows there is no such thing s International Law. What he does not know apparently is that even a Tiger tries to avoid confronttion with a poionous snake. 

We’ve had regime change,” Trump said. “If you look already because the one regime was decimated, destroyed. They’re all dead. The next regime is mostly dead. And the third regime, we’re dealing with different people than anybody’s dealt with before. It’s a whole different group of people. So I would consider that regime change.” 

None of these claims are anywhere near true and suggest Trump has gone crazy. 

The problem with Trump's rhetoric is that while some senior figures have been killed the regime is still in place so his claim of having achieved regime change is no more valid than his claim to have obliterated Irans air and naval defences. 

Against this backdrop and reports that Washington has been negotiating with the “real powerbroker” in the regime, Western policy circles have concluded a new strongman has emerged in Tehran. All attention has turned to the obvious contender: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of the Iranian parliament and veteran of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) – the regime’s ideological army. 

The problem is nobody outside Iran and few people inside the theocratic nation have any idea who leads that regime and what their attitude towards America and the west is. But in Iran, the obvious answer is rarely the right one. While the egotistical : Mohammed Bager Ghalibaf has been playing to the gallery, a far more sinister figure is reported to be pulling the strings: Ahmad Vahidi – the new IRGC commander-in-chief who is a Khamenei absolutist.

Unlike Ghalibaf, Vahidi has stayed out of the spotlight since the outbreak of war.  However independent reporters still inside Iran suggest he is a key cog in the regime’s chain of command and his survival is essential to its continuity and is likely to adopt polices that will produce a far more radical and extremist Islamic Republic that even people in the wider Islamic world dislike.Vahidi has unmatched experience and influence across the regime’s military, intelligence, and bureaucracy.

Western policy circles have concluded a new strongman has emerged in Tehran. But new stongman or no, a new threat and a further escalation of Iran's potentia;l threat to the west is emerging. On Wednesday, an unnamed Iranian military official was quoted as saying: “The Bab a-Mandeb Strait is among the most strategic straits in the world, and Iran has both the will and the capability to pose a fully credible threat against it.”

Entering conflict with Yemen-based Houthis in Bab al-Mandeb, which translates into English as Gate of Tears Strait may prove difficult for US military 

Strong winds, crosscurrents, reefs and shoals have made the Bab al-Mandeb Strait one of the most perilous of shipping chokepoints and that is without having to content with missile and artillery fire from Houthi guerillas .

The Gate of Tears – its Arabic translation – connects the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. It now has another threat in the form of Iranian-backed Houthi rebels spoiling to join the war in the Middle East.

On Saturday, the terror group – which has a history of holding trade hostage in Bab al-Mandeb by firing missiles at ships – boasted of launching ballistic missiles at Israel.

So it appears the U S President was talking his usual bollocks in claimimg progressin his talks with Iran, peace in the middle east is as far away as ever and probably further away that it was at this poni lst week.nA spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces’ Central Staff commented:
 
“Trump is an unstable and often deceitful individual who has inflicted enormous damage on the peoples of the world.
 
He has repeatedly threatened Iran with ground operations and the occupation of islands in the Persian Gulf. He is under the influence of the Mossad due to his past actions, making him a tool in the hands of the Zionist entity’s leadership.
 
He is considered one of the most dishonest world leaders, inconsistent in his positions, and therefore cannot be trusted. He has been given significant powers despite his short-sighted decisions, which have drawn the American military into deadly crises.
 
American troops are in a state of fear and retreat, resorting to civilian and service facilities in the region, yet remain vulnerable to attack.
 
The American leadership is far from the battlefield, while it demands steadfastness from its soldiers, while Trump demonstrates a contradiction between threats, retreats, and calls for war, and then negotiations.
 
His policies have caused grave harm to the people of America, Europe, and countries around the world, especially in West Asia.
 
The only language he understands is force, and any threat of military action against Iran will be met with a decisive response, as his forces have long been prepared for such a scenario.
 
Any aggression or occupation will result in a humiliating defeat and heavy losses for the aggressors.
 
The American leadership must review Iran’s history and learn from the fate of all who have attempted to attack it, and not lure its troops into illusions that lead to their destruction.
 
The Iranian armed forces confirm their complete readiness to crush any possible attack and confidently await the moment of confrontation. “We stand with you, shoulder to shoulder.”

Which really sums up the position Trump has put himself and the western alliance in. At this stage no one knows how the war will end.

Here is the stark sad reality. A peaceful resolution now or in the future is not possible period. Either Trump finishes the job now or later there will be a far worse dilemma. Iran has never been, and never will be, willing to give up what it considers to be, its God given mission which includes the destruction of Israel. 

Israel knowing this will not risk letting this happen. In the meantime, the west will be target to the extent is assists Israel. Who is right, and who is wrong is not material to the discussion. Its a fight to the death. A zero sum game.

Obama and Biden lived in a fantasy world thinking diplomacy and reason would win out and the result was a more embolden, stronger and aggressive Iran (doing what it thinks it correct). Bottom line is: game on and whoever has the strongest will and determination will win. Right now the answer is unclear and Trmp's brain fog is never going to make it any crearer.

The United States Government Has Gone Mad Says Hitchens On BBC Radio's Any Questions

When an audience member on BBC Radio's Any  Questions )Friday, March 20th 2026) asked : Are our NATO allies cowards for not helping in the Strait of Hormuz?

Peter Hitchens, journalist, former foreign correspondent and author, responded: "I think someone has to have shown himself to be brave to call anybody else a coward. I know very few people who are brave who would ever do that, and I think that sums up President Trump, a man who has spent a lot of his life avoiding taking part in any kind of combat and who disparages an awful lot of people a lot of the time but doesn’t himself seem to have any great achievements to his credit, at least that’s not the way it seems to me. So, the answer has to be no, not cowards.

The second thing is this: this war was started by Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu and they didn’t ask us before they attacked Iran. It isn’t a NATO war, NATO isn’t an alliance which is supposed to run after the United States and join in any war it starts, and there’s no reason why we should. 

Thirdly, the Strait of Hormuz is a very, very difficult place in which to fight and anybody who was cautious about going there, would not be a coward, he would just be sensible. 

So what Trump is saying is, as usual, bilge and and not merely bilge, but dangerous bilge. This is a man who stood for election repeatedly saying he would not start new wars and has just started one of the most dangerous wars in my lifetime, one for which I can see no end, and who has no idea how to finish it, did not know when he started it what the consequences would be."

The wost mistake the US Government, which appears recently to hav lost its collective mind, has made over this war, is not starting it in the first place but even more fundamental, in the cpmplete and utter faiure to understand and account for the Iranian mindset.

The Iranian constitution, formulated by Ayatollah Khomeni in 1979, called for the preparation and facilitation of the Mahdi, the twelfth and final prophet of Islam. His rule, so the Islamic fanatics believe, will usher in everlasting peace and justice but requires an Armageddon to bring it about. There is (or was) a clock in Tehran that publicly counted down to the destruction of Israel, the time that presumably sees the advent of the Mahdi. If the Islamics continue, this is a bolted on future. The Israelis know it as does Trump. The current Iranian regime MUST be removed. 

There is never a good time to start something like this and I hope it is over soon. But it had to be done. Peter Hitchens is normally sound, but in this I think this time he errs on the side of caution.Trump's attack on Iran was misguided and mismanaged, the Iranians have already successfully weaponised the Strait of Hormuz and with their Houthi allies in Yemen can close the Bab al Mandeb strait at the entrance to the Red Sea. This would plunge the petrochemicals trade, on which much of the world's trade depends, into chaos.

An item we posted early this month, authored by a Moroccan Muslim and detailing how the fundamentalist Islamic regime in Tehran has been formenting disorder throughout the Arab world gives a clear picture of why it is and has for some time been necesary to deal with this regime. 

Trump could have prepared better with a puppet regime ready to take over, a well thought out plan to keep open the Strait of Hormuz, a deal with Russia (throwing Zelenski and the neo Nazi regime in Ukraine under the tracks of a tank if necessary,) to cover the shortfall in oil and LNG (gas)if Iran did manage to disrupt sea traffic through Hormuz and some better coordination with Israel, but the strategy, if not the tactics, is good.

Having Earned The Contempt Of Trump, Starmer Offends Brits As He Praises Muslims And Defends Iran At Ramadan Event

 

Keir Starmer, a man so out of touch with reality it seems, that he is incapable of learning from his mistakes, has sparked another outrage by hosting a Ramadan event at Westminster Hall, where he hailed the UK’s 4 million Muslims as the "face of modern Britain" and empathized with their "pain" over Gaza to an applauding crowd.

The Prime Minister addressed Muslim MPs and community figures at an Iftar" event in Westminster Hall, organised by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims, on Tuesday night. The fast-breaking evening meal of Muslims in Ramadan is the second meal of the day; during Ramadan, the daily fast begins immediately after the pre-dawn meal of suhur, ending at sunset.

Starmer spoke about Gaza, the US-Israeli attack on Iran and rising anti-Muslim hostility. He told the crowd that Ramadan strengthens "the bonds of community and decency that unite us all", describing it as a time "of great generosity, of service and of celebration too". 

He also characterised the UK as "a community of communities where Muslims are at the forefront of Britain's story".

People from traditionally British backgrounds will understabdably be disturbed by his language which sounds as if this treasonous leader is trying to promote Islam as the UK's main religion while marginalising the Christian - humanist majority 

Starmer, who this week single - handedly wrecked the UK/US 'special relationship and earned the contempt of President Trump by refusing to support the US attack on Iran's barbaric Islamist regime or allow American planes to use the Chagos Islands air base, also addressed the plight of Gaza's Palestinians, saying: "We must not lose sight of them and the need for peace, justice and security in Palestine and Israel."

He completely failed to acknowledge the suffering of Israeli citizens affected by the October 7 atrocities committed by members of the fanatical Islamic terrorist movement Hamas, which for many years has in effect been the governing power in Gaza. 

This alignment is deeply concerning to many, given that a majority of British Muslims support the Gazan dictatorship despite its recent atrocities, and Starmer himself has a record of defending Islamic interests in Iran and Qatar and in his role as a 'human rights' lawyer was instrumental in winning the right to remain in Britain for many known terrorists posing as asylum seekers, while demonstrably failing in the past few days to protect British territory or support US military cooperation.

With Pew Research highlighting a rapidly growing Muslim population in the UK , Starmer’s decision to court this demographic which has already achieved numerical and cultural dominance in some areas - while overlooking their support for theocratic, Muslim extremist regimes - raises even more questions about the future of British sovereignty and security as long as Labour, the party of treason and traitors, remain in power.

Police Accused of Turning a Blind Eye to Operation Of Sharia Courts In British Immigrant Communities

Police have been accused of turning a blind eye to the spread of sharia courts in Britain.

Figures released by the UK Government show that fewer than 3 per cent of so-called “honour crimes” were successfully prosecuted last year. Data also shows that the police and legal authorities authorities are deliberatly avoiding prosecutions of crimes relating to honour-based abuse among immigrant and asylum seeker communities, which includes offences such as female genital mutilation, homicide (honour killings) and forced marriage. And yet the government brush all this aside while simultaneously trying to suppress free speech and find an excuse to imprison Tommy Robinson.

And campaigners are warning that the “privatisation of justice” within some Muslim communities through sharia courts and a dual justice system makes it harder for the state to protect potential victims of such crimes.

That Starmer's government allows these illegal Sharia courts to exist and the government is unwilling to take action against them  is conclusive evidence that our country is being  Islamized with the tacit aproval of the major political parties. As Marcus Tullius Cicero wrote 2000 years ago, "there can only be one law and it must be applied equally to all," there must be zero tolerance for this blatant attempt by certain immigrant communities to set up a parallel legal system, normalising two tier justice which is the first step towads establishing a state within a state. 

In spite of all this the government is sill pushing the ridiculous narratives that mass immigration enriches us culturally and economically. 

The tolerance an maybe even encouragement of these religious courts and the alien cultures that operate them also makes one wonder what on earth is going on behind closed doors in immigrant communities because because with their own Sharia courts to administer a brutal, mysogyinistic parody of justice, how many such crimes are even reported to the police by people who believe they need only adhere first and foremost to their own laws and customs. I don’t think we’ll ever know the true extent of any sort of ‘honour-based abuse’ because most will go unreported.

Is it any wonder certain religions have become incubators for terrorism?

The data in this UK study are old now, however, it does focus specifically on the role women play as perpetrators in this type of abuse within the context of the Muslim community, where much abuse seems to be legitimized due to the countless interpretations of the Koran. 

How many Muslim women are genuine victims and how many are guilty themselves, either directly or via their complicity, in doling out abuse to their kids? Caring and nurturing? Evidently not;  Historically, honour based abuse research has focused on the extremes of honour killing rather than non-lethal violence towards women.

The findings show that mothers play fundamental, indeed “massive” role in perpetrating honour abuse against daughters. Mothers inflict violence, sometimes with an intention to induce an abortion; they inflict hard psychological abuse and condone the violence inflicted by other male relatives, mainly sons.  Police under recording of female perpetration is apparent. Victim loyalty and reluctance to prosecute mothers contributes to the blurred of boundaries between mothers as ‘perpetrators’ and mothers as secondary ‘victims’ acting under duress. Such factors adversely affect the policing response.”
