Assad Prepping Chemical Weapons; US Diplomat claims. Russia Threatens Attack On US Base

The situation in Syria is deteriorating rapidly in Syria as the Assad government prepares for its final assault on Idlib, the last stronghold of the head amputating, journalist roasting, murdering, torturing, sex slave taking, raping, thieving, kiddie fiddling ISIS / Al Nusra extremists (better known perhaps as Barack Obama's beloved moderate rebels.) Russian jets have been bombarding rebel positions in Idlib Province as the Syrian Army initiates a ground invasion which Damascus has described as coming in a "phased" approach.

The White House responded to the Syrian and Russian bombing campaign by vowing it would act “swiftly and vigorously” should chemical weapons be used, conveniently forgetting that in other cases where the US has alleged the Assad regime has used gas against its own people, in efforts to justify direct intervention in Syria, Putin has faced down The Pentagon, while subsequent investigations by the independent OPCW (Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons) inspectors has found no evidence of the Assad government's involvement, and on the famous ocasion when the childbrain Barack Hussein Obama claimed he had irrefutable evidence that Assad was responsible for a poison gas incident, the inspectors found very strong evidence that the gas cannisters were fired by the rebels into a civilian area under the control of the Assad government. Furthermore the gas used was discovered to have originated in the USA.

Just a day ago US diplomats claimed there's “lots of evidence” chemical weapons are being prepared by the Syrian forces, citing intelligence of such activities. We remind you again that at the end of last month and early this month the Russian government was warning that a false flag gas attack was being prepared by US agents to justify interference in the final defeat of the CIA sponsored bid to oust Assad and replace him with a government beholden to the Islamic fundamentalist monarchy of Saudi Arabia. Readers should also bear in mind that as with previous allegations of illegal weapon use by the Syrian regime, the "US Intelligence" comes from the rebels themselves, hardly what a sane person would call a reliable source (although the mass murderer and war criminal Obama was happy to believe their every word.

America's top general has now confirmed the Pentagon is drawing up military options to attack Syria and is in currently in close discussion with the White House over the plans. Marine General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told reporters on Saturday during a trip to India, according to Reuters:

...he was involved in “routine dialogue” with the White House about military options should Syria ignore U.S. warnings against using chemical weapons in an expected assault on the enclave of Idlib.

President Trump has already ordered Tomahawk missile attacks on Syria twice, in the past 2 Aprils.

However, Gen. Dunford noted that no decision has been made to intervene militarily in response to Idlib. “But we are in a dialogue, a routine dialogue, with the president to make sure he knows where we are with regard to planning in the event that chemical weapons are used,” he told a group of reporters.

Dunford added in reference to his talks with President Trump: “He expects us to have military options and we have provided updates to him on the development of those military options.”

The fact that Russia has stationed a flotilla of warships in the eastern Mediterranean, off Syria, may influence the final decision of the Pentagon and the Department of Defense of course, as it has before.

Trump had previously bombed Syria twice after allegations that Assad ordered a chemical weapons attack — in April 2017 and April 2018 — the former was in response to a claimed sarin attack on Idlib.

White House officials have vowed to hold Assad responsible for any chemical attack allegations that emerge. Given that all previous allegations of chemical weapons use has not been proved, it seems to this publication the USA is simply desperate for war.

The narrative of Russian intelligence attacking state and local election boards and interfering with the outcome of U.S. elections has achieved near-universal acceptance among establishment media and political organisations. And now it has been accepted by the Trump administration’s intelligence chief, Dan Coats, as well.

But the real story behind that narrative reveals that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) created and developed an account of events that was designed deliberately to spread false information and cause fear and panic.

DHS staff, in collusion with people whose involvement in industrial espionage, compiled a report suggesting hackers linked to the Russian government could have targeted voter-related websites in many states and then leaked a sensational story of Russian attacks on those sites. Had it been made clear that the whole thing was fabricated, yes they COULD have hacked the system, security was lax at best, but there is no evidence anyone did interfere with voting. The facts would have revealed a different story. When state election officials began asking questions, they discovered that the DHS claims were false and, in at least one case, laughable.

The National Security Agency and special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigating team, which has been conducting a witch hunt against the Trump administration since shortly after the election in 2016, have also claimed evidence that Russian military intelligence was behind election infrastructure hacking, but on closer examination, those claims turn out to be speculative and misleading as well. Mueller’s indictment of 12 GRU military intelligence officers does not cite any violations of U.S. election laws though it claims Russia interfered with the 2016 election.

On Sept. 29, 2016, a few weeks after the hacking of political websites in Illinois and Arizona, ABC News sensationalised the story with a headline: “Russian Hackers Targeted Nearly Half of States’ Voter Registration Systems, Successfully Infiltrated 4.” The story itself reported that “more than 20 state election systems” had been hacked, and four states had been “breached” by hackers suspected of working for the Russian government. The story cited only sources “knowledgeable” about the matter, hinting that those who were pushing the story were eager to hide the institutional origins of the information. Again no evidence was offered to support the allegations.

Behind that sensational headline the real story was of a government department playing inter - departmental politics by seeking to establish its supremacy within the national security state apparatus on cybersecurity, despite its limited resources for such responsibility.

In his new book titled  “The Deep State: How an army of bureaucrats protected Barack Obama and is working to destroy Donald Trump,” Jason Chaffetz alleges that the deep state is very real. 


His book, which is set to be published on September 18, details the lengths the intelligence community is going to in an attempt to undermine Trump.

“The Deep State is real,” Chaffetz wrote, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
“They don’t like exposure, accountability or responsibility. They fight back, outlast and work the system for their advantage. And they certainly don’t like disruptive forces such as Donald Trump.”

Of course, this flies in the face of 'lying' former FBI Director James Comey, who exclaimed in May that:

“There is no deep state, but there’s a deep culture and commitment to the rule of law that runs all the way down through not just the Department of Justice and the FBI but the military services and the intelligence community. It would be interesting to see what would happen next,”

Chaffetz, a former congressman from Utah, resigned from Congress in June 2017. At the time, that was about six months into Trump’s presidency.

Erdogan Vows To Abandon Dollar, “Doesn’t Need Permission” To Buy Russian Missiles

Another nutty rant by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan got the week off to a good start. His ire was aimed as usual at the USA, this time he threatened that Ankara would abandon the US dollar in transactions with Russia and other nations, accusing the US of behaving like “wild wolves.”
“America behaves like wild wolves. Don’t believe them,” Erdogan told a business forum during the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum in Kyrgyzstan, according to AFP.

Erdogan’s latest outburst is a further sign that he is taking Turkey away from the west and strengthening ties with Russia, China and Iran. It echoed the dedollarization call from Russia’s deputy foreign minister Serkey Ryabkov, saying said that Turkey country was in negotiations with Russia over non-dollar trade. As we have reported elsewhere China has made the most significant move in this currency war by opening a maket for traded oil futures on the Shanghair stock exchange, thus challenging the supremacy of the US dollar in the world’s most traded commodity.

“Using the dollar only damages us. We will not give up. We will be victorious,” Erdogan said, addressing a meeting attended by Kyrgyz and Turkish businessmen as well as government officials.
On August 24, Moscow said it would respond to Washington’s latest sanctions by accelerating efforts to abandon the American currency in trade transactions: “The time has come when we need to go from words to actions, and get rid of the dollar as a means of mutual settlements, and look for other alternatives,” said Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov.

Erdogan further stirred the pot by saying that Ankara doesn’t need permission from anyone to purchase Russian S-400 missile systems, just days after the US once again warned the country against buying the highly advanced air-defense system.

“We have made S-400 deal with Russia. Someone is offended by it. We don’t need permission from anybody,” the Turkish leader said in Kyrgyzstan.

Last week US Defense Secretary James Mattis warned Turkey, a member of NATO but not a client state of Washington, against buying the Russian systems. “Turkey had a choice to make, a sovereign decision to make. But clearly Turkey bringing a Russian anti-aircraft, anti-missile system into a NATO country, we cannot integrate that into NATO,” Mattis said. “Yes, it does concern us and we do not recommend that.”

At the same time Erdogan’s government is trying to complete the purchase of American F-35 jets, which US lawmakers are trying to block due to Ankara’s S-400 deal.

Erdogan’s statement shows that Turkey is shaping its defense policy without any regard to the US, Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of National Defense magazine, told RT. For Turkey, the purchase of these weapons means getting “a new geopolitical status of a country” that is able to fully control its airspace and, if necessary, use such weapons against its enemies, he said.

The geopolitical world was rocked yesterday when Turkey began shelling Syria’s second largest city, Aleppo, where the Syrian opposition has its back against the wall in the face of an aggressive advance by the forces of President Assad’s government and the Iranian Republican Guard supported, of course, by Russian airstrikes.

Saudi Arabia Condemns UN Report On Yemen War Crimes

Yemeni's bury their dead after yet another Saudi air raid.

A report released by the UN this week confirmed in considerable detail misdeeds by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, killing thousands of civilians in Yemen, raping and torturing detainees, and using child soldiers. In a masterpiece in understatement the report warned these may amount to war crimes.

While the Saudis didn’t dispute any of this, their government was reportedly furious about the report, angrily condemning it as having “misconstrued the facts of the conflict… ignoring the true reasons for the conflict,” while saying that it was an Iranian coup against the “legitimate government in Yemen.”

While previous UN resolutions more or less accepted the Saudi narrative that the war is meant to reinstall the Hadi government, that massive death toll and the many, many war crimes committed have fueled a lot of international consternation.

Still, UN reports detailing war crimes by the Saudi coalition have been met by Saudi condemnation, and in the past that, combined with US support for the war, has been enough to keep the UN from doing anything in particular about the situation.

The UN General Assembly has repeatedly acquiesced to demands that the Saudis be allowed to investigate themselves on the war, which has meant probes are rare, and never come up with anything meaningful.

While it is gratifying to see this forgotten war being properly reported in mainstream media at last, one can't help contrasting the belated coverage of the four year old Muslim on Muslim conflict and the near silence with which liberal talking heads have responded to it, to the chorus of outrage that has greeted the attacks on Rohingya muslims in Myanmar, or the genicidal campaigns of Sunni Muslims against Christians, Jews, Yazidi and Druze in Syria, Iraq and northern Iran.

Myanmar has been the site of serious conflicts between Buddhist and Muslim communities, particularly in Rakhine State where at least 146,000 persons have been displaced since the first riots in June 2012. This violence has prompted international organizations dedicated to early warning of mass violence to issue alarms, but the dynamics of this conflict are understood differently in Myanmar. In May, three Nobel laureates called violence and persecution of Muslims in Myanmar “nothing less than genocide.” A few days later, U Zaw Aye Maung, the Rakhine Affairs Minister for Yangon Region, was quoted by the Reuters news agency as saying, “if genocide was taking place in Rakhine State, then it was against ethnic Rakhine Buddhists.

It seems the attitude of mainstream media and western liberals is that genocides of Christians, Jews, Buddhist, Hindus and regional sects by Muslims are OK, because "Multiculturalism," but anybody who tries to defend their home or culture against Muslim aggression is a racist.

Trump Warns Facebook, Twitter And Google To Tread Carefully

Donald Trump may have failed in his bid to take on the Military - Industrial Complex, The Pentagon, The CIA and The State Department, which would have been a formidable task for any US president, even one with the whole of his party and a solid majority of the country behind him, but his bid to challenge the stranglehold of globalists (aka progressive liberals) on the media and in particular the left leaning near - monopolies of digital media, amoral, power crazed organisations like Google, Facebook ans Twitter, look likely to have better outcomes for lovers of free speech and individual liberty.

President Trump yesterday reiterated threats against Facebook, Twitter and Google with new comments from the Oval Office, saying the social media platforms are "treading on very, very troubled territory and they have to be careful."

"I think Google has really taken advantage of a lot of people and I think that's a very serious thing and it's a very serious charge," Trump told reporters following a meeting with the president of FIFA. "They better be careful because they can't do that to people."

Meanwhile, free speech activists have petitioned the White House to encourage Trump to "request that Congress pass legislation prohibiting social media platforms from banning users for First Amendment-protected speech."

The petition, stating that "The power to block lawful content should be in the hands of individual users – not Mark Zuckerberg or Jack Dorsey." can be fopund at Petitions.whitehouse.gov

Earlier in the day, Google responded to an accusation by Trump over Twitter that they're "rigging" search results against him, providing as evidence a "Trump News" search which showed predominantly "left" media publications popping up in the search results.

Perhaps Google can salvage a little credibility by explaining why Trump's picture is just about the only thing that appears when one does a Google image search for the word "idiot"? And while Google had visited the Obama White House over 230 times in seven years, we wonder how many times they've visited since Trump took office?

Study from Vanderbilt professor finds Google tracking is even creepier than we thought

Maybe Google’s motto all this time should have been “Don’t be creepy” instead of not being evil. Maybe that would have produced a different reality from the one presented in a new study from a Vanderbilt professor, released today, which shows that Google’s tracking of users is probably a lot worse and creepier than the average person likely releases.

For one thing, the study that was commissioned by the trade group Digital Content Next walks through “passive” data-collection done by Google often without the user’s knowledge. Such as when users switch to an incognito browsing session online, the results of which Google can retroactively link back to the users thanks to how deep its digital tentacles reach into the rest of that same user’s online experience.

“That’s not well understood by consumers,” Douglas Schmidt, the author of the study and a Vanderbilt professor of computer science, told the publication AdAge about those findings. “But if you read the fine print on ‘incognito’ mode it brings up a whole lot of disclaimers.”

Here’s how the incognito mode tracking works, in an AdAge recap of the study:

“A person fires up a private browser session in Chrome. On websites that run ads from Google’s online ad marketplace, anonymized cookies are dropped on the browsers associated with the user. If the same person leaves private browsing mode and logs into a Google service like Gmail or YouTube, the act of signing into Google makes it possible to connect the earlier web activity to the now identified user. (Unless, that is, the cookies expired or were manually deleted by the user.)” – READ MORE

The Internet lit up earlier this week with headlines all stemming from an Associated Press investigation that came to this creepy conclusion about Google: the search giant still tracks your location data even after you’ve essentially told it not to.

Now, Google has essentially confirmed that’s indeed what happens. The AP followed up that earlier story with a report today about revised language on a Google help page explaining how its “Location History” setting works. Google hasn’t changed the practice reported earlier this week, the AP makes clear, referring to its findings that several Google apps and websites store a user’s location even if they turn off Location History.

Brutal Scenes From Greek Anti-Austerity Protests

After eight years of austerity, four governments, three bailout programs, a country full of misery, a capital full of protesters, and a whole galaxy of Molotov cocktails, firecrackers, riots, and clashes with police, Greece does not seem to have moved forward at all. As Greece prepares to exit its third bailout program since 2010, The Daily Stirrer takes a look at the latest outbreak of Greek street protests, the result of almost nine crisis-filled years.

In one particularly violent episode, a mass brawl broke out outside the Ministry of Administrative Reform in Athens, this clip shows demonstrators being rather brutally pushed back by riot police.

Mass rallies in Athens always seem to descend into violence, like the one featured below, as Greece's parliament voted on further erosions of Greek sovereignty to unlock the EU bailout money, with protesters chanting against Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and throwing incendiary flares at police wearing anti-riot gear.

Since the Greek crisis started in late 2009, the country has racked up a massive debt and pursued strict austerity policies to unlock international emergency loans. In 2015, Greece's creditors — the Eurozone and the IMF — launched a third stability support program in eight years. The bailout, which made up some 86 billion euros, was provided in exchange for austerity measures that included pension cuts and tax increases. It is scheduled to expire on August 20, 2018, but Greece's road to recovery is not over yet, and will not be over until the nation is released from the suffocating constraints of The Euro (€) the European Union single currency.

Tesla Tumbles After JPM Releases Scathing Report On Chatotic Management

Beleagured Tesla CEO Elon Musk may be about to suffer another public meltdown on Twitter after
bankers JP Morgan issued a note that acknowledged what it seems that everybody already knew: Contrary to Musk's statement at the beginning of last week that he had secured funding to take Tesla private, the money has not, in fact, been secured. To add insult to injury, J.P. Morgan lowered its price target on Tesla stock by about 30% to $195.

After Friday's plunge in Tesla shares following the publication of a bizarre interview in the NYT with CEO Elon Musk which revealed the state of his emotional breakdown, Tesla shares are down another 6% this morning, trading in the $280's in the market. An extract from the statement reads:

We are reverting to valuing Tesla shares on the basis of fundamentals alone, which entails a $113 reduction in our price target back to the $195 level where it stood prior to our August 8 note in which we newly weighted 50% in our valuation analysis a go-private scenario for which funding was at that time said to have been secured to take the company private at $420 per share.

JPM had commented in a somewhat mealy mouthed style that "As surprising to us as these developments are, and as lacking as the statements are in any details regarding whom is expected to provide the required amount of financing and on what terms, they are nevertheless declarative statements from the CEO of a public company which we feel should be considered seriously. Either funding is secured or it is not secured, and Tesla’s CEO says funding is secured.” The bank added that “Our price target could move up or down based upon further developments affecting the likelihood the transaction will or will not go through.”
Fast forward to today, when for at least one bank, the going private deal is now dead.

Subsequent events have obviously led JPM to believe that funding was not secured for a going private transaction, nor was there any formal proposal, it was just Musk failing to put his brain in gear before being let loose on Twitter.

Elon Musk told a New York Times reporter in an exclusive interview he is suffering the effects of the most painful year of his career, as he deals with production deadlines, technical problems and safety issues for his Tesla car company, the fallout from a federal investigation over Stock Market manipulation and the concerns of worried friends.

He reportedly broke down multiple times during the emotional interview as he admitted his responsibilities were taking a personal toll.

“This past year has been the most difficult and painful year of my career,” he said. “It was excruciating."

By early Friday afternoon, Tesla’s shares had fallen over 8%, wiping about $4bn off the company’s value.

Musk, whose company posted a record $709.6m net loss in the first quarter of this year while struggling to manufacture large numbers of its Model 3 mass-market electric car, said he had been working up to 120 hours a week and his health had been “not great”. He said his friends had been worried about him.

Musk said there were times he didn’t leave the factory for three or four days at a time and days when he didn’t go outside.

He said he spent the entire 24 hours of his 47th birthday in June at work and flew directly to his brother’s wedding, where he was due to be best man, from work, arriving two hours before the ceremony and leaving immediately afterwards.

It has also been reported that Tesla executives are increasingly worried about Musk's reliance on Ambien to help him sleep and its possible effects on late-night Twitter sessions.
Various episodes of bizarre behaviour have provoked a string of headlines and led to growing concerns about the billionaire's stability and the turmoil in Tesla’s share price as markets responded to his outbursts.

He recently berated analysts for asking boring questions during an earnings conference call, accused a British diver who helped rescue a Thai football team trapped underground of being a paedophile, and last week published a tweet claiming he had secured funding to take Tesla private, sparking a rollercoaster ride for shareholders that is now under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mr Musk has long delighted in his reputation as one of Silicon Valley’s brashest entrepreneurs but admitted exhaustion was taking its toll.

“It’s not been great, actually,” he said. “I’ve had friends come by who are really concerned.”
