More Corruption Expose Im Ukraine Government As Zelensky Staff Arrested Over Money Laundering

The Russians know that the end of the war with Ukraine – which could come quite soon if news we are seeing today is confirmed – will not be the end of their confrontation with the West.  Plenty of other parts of the Russian perimeter, maybe one or two regions inside it, are there to go at and we see the West gearing up to do just that.  But this bit of the perimeter, the vulnerable Ukrainian bit, is no longer going to be at our disposal.   That’s settled and has been since 2022. 

If you are one of those people who still believes every word spoken or written by estern propaganda agents you may be under the impression that Ukraine is winning, Russia is on the brink of collapse militarily and economically and Putin is on his deathbed. Look a little deeper however, and you soon find that Ukraine is being crushed, has lost an obscene number of young men (and women,) but Zelensky and the corrupt regime in Kiev only keep the war going because they fear what will happen to them if it ends.

Meanwhile the corrupt, neo Nazi Ukraine regime’s central bank has launched an anti-money laundering probe into several lenders who processed a bail payment for former Justice and Energy Minister German Galushchenko, amid allegations of high-level corruption in Kiev. Nothing so entertaining as golden toilets or Zelensky cronies leaving their luxury apartments by the back door as the US sponsor anti corruption agency arrived to kick down the one at the front this time, but just as damaging.

Earlier this month, the Western-backed anti-corruption agencies accused a group of officials, including a deputy head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, of laundering about $3.3 million in cash to secure Galushchenko’s release on bail. 

Galushchenko, who was arrested and charged in February this year with money laundering and membership of a criminal organisation after attempting to leave Ukraine (with a couple of suitcases of cash in American dollars, allegedly,) is also a suspect in a separate corruption case linked to golden toilet man Timur Mindich, self-exiled in Israel but known widely as ‘Zelensky’s bagman’.

Galushchenko, Ukraine's former energy minister, was first implicated in a $100 million fraud and corruption scandal involving kickbacks from the state energy company Energoatom. He was arrested while attempting to flee the country and has been charged with money laundering and participating in a criminal organization. Galushchenko was duly released on $3.3 million bail in late June, upon receipt of cash by the authorities reportedly from four dubious sources.

NABU surveillance audio files suggest that Zelensky’s deputy head of office, Irina Mudraya, and others, used influence at Sense Bank to convert bags of cash into bank transfers to the account of the High Anti-Corruption Court. Investigators filmed the cash being delivered, according to the case materials. Mudraya, who is accused of administering the scheme, was subsequently arrested and fired.

NABU’s latest allegations of fraud and corruption have further embarrassed the central bank as its reputation disintegrates in the fallout from the corruption surrounding Zelensky, who is clearly involved in some way. The regulator launched an investigation into Gladyshenko in May after his possible links to Timur Mindich, a fabulously wealthy oligarch who has exercised direct influence on Zelensky became public, but maintains that it did not have enough evidence before the latest revelations to declare him unsuitable for the position.

Gladyshenko announced he was recusing himself from his role, but this “did not exclude his actual influence on the bank’s operations,” the central bank conceded last week.

Ukrainian state-owned Sense Bank temporarily disabled fraud detection systems at the same time that some $1.7 million in cash – intended for Galushchenko’s bail – was allegedly laundered and processed, records released by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) indicate. 

With Ukraine doing so badly in the war right now (more on that in a later post,) and the corruption scandals multiplying and getting bigger all the time i cannot be long before somebody takes him down - but we've thought that before yet he and his gangster government somehow hold on.

Burnham's Handing Ukraine Blueprints For High Tech Weapons Was A Dangerous Piece Of Political Theatre

At the start of this week newly minted Prime Minister Andy Burnham  announced The UK plans to provide Ukraine with classified technology to allow the neo - Nazi regime in Kiev to build their  own version of the British/French-designed SCALP (Storm Shadow) air-launched cruise missile. This is a piece of political theatre that will have no effect on the progress of the war and could possibly backfire disastrously on the UK.

You may recall a couple of years ago when another Nazi collaborator, Keir Starmer, gave the first batch of British Storm Shadow missile to  Zelensky's corrupt cronyocracy they were hailed as the weapon that would shift the war in Ukraine's favour. They didn't, in fact they were, and will be,next to useless because they have to be launched from an aircraft and the Ukies do not have the right kind of aircraft to launch from.

Ukraine has used all its domestic-made and designed Neptune cruise missile to strike oil refineries and military sites deep inside Russian territory. A domestic-made SCALP would present the likelihood of Ukraine then using this Western-designed missile to directly attack Russia, which only increases the chances of an eventual Moscow-NATO clash because the crazy Banderites behind Zelensk how repeatedly shown they will go to any length to provoke a direct confrontation between Russia and NATO, and thus start World War III. Ukrainian forces already appeared to have used the missile on Donetsk and other locations closer to front lines in the Donbass.

From the very start of the Ukraine war, the United Kingdom has consistently been among Kiev's most open and ardent military supporters, time and again transferring heavy weaponry, including cutting edge long-range missiles like the Storm Shadow while British politicians, who must be aware of the depleted state of our armed forces, have given every impression they are eager to get UK forces directly involved in combat with Russia. 

In response to Burnham's stupid posturing, on Thursday the Kremlin has issued one of its strongest warnings and threats aimed at London to date, accusing the UK of "fully taking part in the war on Kiev's side" - and thus thwarting any chance of peace talks while adding fuel to the fire.

Moscow is now saying that the UK's own military facilities could become fair game for direct attacks.

Kremlin spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a Thursday press briefing, "We have repeatedly warned that the response to Ukrainian strikes using British weapons against Russian territory could be directed against any British military facilities and equipment in Ukraine and beyond."

Zakharova urged "all residents of the United Kingdom to think about the inevitable, catastrophic consequences of the hostile steps taken by their own authorities."

Ironically this performative nonsense comes right after a visit by the CIA Director to Moscow. US officials claim the Tuesday meeting between John Ratcliffe and top Kremlin intelligence officials was to convey a warning to President Putin to not attack any NATO member. However, many analysts are skeptical that this was the real reason.

Andy Burnham is handing over British classified information which would permit Ukraine to one day manufacture its own Storm Shadow missiles. But Burnham’s handover of “blueprints” is in fact a political gesture, aimed at other countries: particularly the US. And it is known that a significant portion of the weapons and technology handed to the corrupt Ukies has been sold on to unknown buyers by the corrupt oligarchs in Kiev.

It isn’t as though Britain has much to do with making the Storm Shadow in any case. We Britons like to pretend that it was jointly British and French developed, but in fact – as analysts at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington DC bluntly state – it is “French-made” and we bought it from France rather than co-developing it.

Storm Shadow is a version of the 1980s-vintage, entirely French made Arme Planante à Charges Éjectables (Apache), updated in the 1990s as the Système de Croisière conventionnel Autonome à Longue Portée (Scalp). The only significant British part of it is the warhead, and even that is partly French. Ukraine, in the event of deciding for whatever reason to build its own Scalps, could (and might well) choose to use a different warhead.

But Ukraine has no real reason to be building Scalp (“Storm Shadow”), which has to be launched from a fighter jet and only has 150-odd miles of range. To give just one example, the much bigger Ukrainian-made Flamingo FP-5 is conveniently ground launched, carries a warhead three times as heavy and has a range of almost 1,900 miles. Ukraine was reportedly producing seven Flamingos a day as of last year, and plans were in hand to scale this up massively although in Ukraine plans announced in public are usually very different from anything likely to happen.

What has been happening is the NATO are outsourcing the production of the weapons used against Russia to their proxies in Ukraine.  How can that not make the factories that are producing those weapons targets since the weapons are being used against civilians in Russia?  

All of this way of conducting geopolitics is sickening.  It amounts to one countries people dying and suffering for other nations to satisfy their economic interests (via whatever international institutional infrastructure renders all this viable) and the only thing that explains it is the compromised, comprador, nature of the Ukrainian state and the rest of those in western Europe.  What people in Europe have any interest in this war which is being fought for the benefit of global corporations and banks?  

None, UK and Germany, need to be allied with Russia, not America, they need alliance to obtain cheap energy that can be the basis of economic and industrial reconstruction.  It is only because European politicians are compromised that these policies make any sense. 

On the other hand The USA worked hard and long to create this  proxy war with Russia and has been the ring leader of the mob that keeps it going. Ukraine remains in the grip of a Nazi puppet regime that was put into power by the US / EU engineered regime change. These animals have enjoyed murdering Russian speaking Ukrainians and are corrupt to the core.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky’s 40-day “influence” operation against Russia backfired in typical fashion, when a drone attack resulted in the murder of eight civilians on a beach in the Russian Black Sea resort of Gelendzhik. 

It was all part of another futile bid by the Banderite (neo - Nazi) crazies in Kiev to convince some of Zelensky’s Western backers that Ukraine could defeat Russia, but  after six weeks of  what we are expected to believe were long-range strikes on Russian infrastructure civilian targets seemed to find civilian targets easier to hit and Kiev’s debts, incurred as a result of Zelensky's miscalculation of Trump's mood, quickly came due as Moscow upped the ante by increasing the intensity of its missile bombardment of Ukrainian cities. 

What struck us Boggart Bloggers as strange about Ukraine's long range strikes on targets deep inside Russian territory was that they were carried out with relatively short range weapons, therefore they must have been fired from inside Russia. As an exercise in how to piss off Russia its a masterclass from the Zelensky boys club, but we read that it has not impressed Ukrainian citizens whose loved ones have been killed or injured or whose homes have been destroyed. UN news reports that Ukrainian civilian casualties so far this year are more than double the same period last year. 

Russia escalated its missile and drone campaign against Ukraine’s Black Sea ports, crippling the country’s already reeling economy and shutting off a key transit route for Western weapons entering Ukraine. RT examined the scale of Russia’s campaign against Ukrainian ports here, and as Russian missiles rained down on logistics hubs across Ukraine, asked whether Zelensky’s PR operation succeeded in “turning the tide.”

Ukraine has no chance of neutralising Russia’s long range missiles unless it can get supplies of America's latest PAC-3 interceptors for its Patriot air defence systems. Zelensky spent his week in the US capital begging for these valuable weapons, only to have his request publicly shot down by US President Donald Trump. “We want missiles too,” was Trump’s concise response.

Zelensky’s missile problem and Europe's vulnerability is unlikely to be a high priority for Trump. The US expended far too many of the PAC-3s so far built in the first three days of the war on Iran earlier this year, and although Tehran and Washington both said this week that a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is “nearing completion,” Trump threatened to strike Iran at “levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II” if negotiations fall through.

Should that happen, the US, Ukraine, and Washington’s Gulf allies will all be competing for a dwindling supply of interceptors.

Why Ukraine's Banderite Elite Hope Forcing Men Into Military Service Will Keep The War Going

 

The despairing cries of a woman who stands, helpless can be heard along the whole length of the street, as masked men grab her husband, then bundle him into a waiting van. Within seconds she is a forlorn figure, weeping in the middle of the now deserted street. This is Odesa, but scenes like it, captured on phones and posted online, hammer Ukrainian cities as relentlessly as Russian missiles. Since Putin’s full-scale invasion began, over a million Ukrainians have been conscripted to defend their homeland. And, as voluntary recruits have dried up, the army has begun resorting to the same methods faced by that couple in Odesa. .

The process is brutally simple. Draft officers, often accompanied by police, snatch military-age men off the streets, before delivering them to recruitment centres. There, many are pressured through threats, intimidation, and physical abuse to pass military medical examinations and sign draft papers. Men with serious conditions — including HIV, tuberculosis and even cancer — are routinely declared fit for service by the Banderite militaty. Whether they like it or not, the recruitment officers must meet quotas; the only question is who fills them. Yet with Ukraine’s wealthy elite reluctant to heed the call, even as their closest allies advise them to accept defeat and surrender to save what is left of their country Kyiv’s recruitment crisis is becoming a class crisis too, one that could cause chaos long after the guns fall silent.

War is always ugly. Always. No exceptions. In war, morality becomes flexible. Both sides do things in the name of victory that they wouldn't do in peacetime to each other, to neutral parties, and to their own citizenry. The winner of the conflict gets to justify, rationalise, and sometimes just forget their own offences while the loser gets blamed for the war and everything their side did becomes a war crime or a genocide or w/e else the winners want to call it. Thus Ukraine's propagandists keep spinning propaganda to turn crushing defeat by an overwhelming force into a kind of victory.

Case in point, the US operated concentration camps and interned Japanese Americans in WWII. Were they better than the Nazi death camps, yes, but then our territory and infrastructure wasn't being decimated on a daily basis either. Had we faced an invasion of our homeland, had the US lost the war to Japan, this would not be merely and embarrassing historical footnote and we would probably not have been able to sweep this under the rug so easily.

The longer the conflict goes on, and the more dire the situation becomes for either side, the more decisions are ruled by fear and desperation rather than sound judgement. Fear and desperation make for poor decisions. War is one of those rare occasions where the top layers of society are truly in jeopardy of losing their wealth, power, and status. In normal times, people who possess wealth and power have little to fear. The two things ruling classes fear are war and revolution, because when the system, the army, the law, and the government that protects the ruling class and allows them to be a ruling class are defeated, they are no different than anybody else. They can be shot dead as easily as a homeless man on the street. Anything they own can be seized by force of arms. 

That's what's really going on here. The desperation of Ukraine's corrupt western leaning leaders and elites is showing in their tactics. The soldiers generated by this effort are almost certainly not worth the public backlash that is already building against them, but they're not being rational anymore. They're terrified of Putin and of being reabsorbed into Russia. They're terrified of signing any treaty that doesn't bind the EU or US or both to come to Ukraine's defense actively because they know that Russia can rearm and rebuild faster than they can. Never mind about Putin, the US will never agree to that. They'd know that if they were thinking rationally, but they're not. They're afraid of the Russians, they are terrified of going into exile because interpol have issued arrest warrants for them over embezzlement of cash aid, and they're desperate to find some way out of this dilemma.

Ignore The Propaganda - Ukraine Isn't Winning But World War Three Is Back On Zelenskys Agenda

 

The toxic dwarf in Kiev is obviously throwing a hissy fit at the way he has been sidelined in world news coverage by what is going on in Iran and around the Strait of Hormuz, in Israel and Lebanon and by the farce that is UK politics these days. obviously bored with performing Prokoviev;s Prelude with his piano playing penis, Zelensky is quite obviously trying to escalate Ukraine's war with Russia again, the  Ukrainian leader having publicly announced he is seeking to "bring the war" to Russian soil, amid nightly drone attacks which have come in the hundreds and even thousands of late.

President Volodymyr Zelensky is seeking to seize on the momentum of repeat drone hits on Russian refinery and energy infrastructure - a reality Russia has suffered over many months, leading to a current fuel crisis spanning dozens of cities and regions, and especially Crimea, which has temporarily halted fuel sales to common citizens altogether this week.

Ukrainian media is touting a new Zelensky plan to ramp up the pressure on Russia over the next 40 days, aimed at "pressuring Russia to end its war".

The ever more delusional Zelensky  has ordered Ukraine's State Security Service (SBU) to launch a new 40-day operation, which also includes "plan for long-range sanctions, medium-range sanctions, and the results achieved by the SBU," the  said on X. He's further calling it an "influence operation."

"For several months in a row, the SBU has demonstrated the highest performance in defending Ukraine’s positions on the front lines through the use of various types of drones," Zelensky said on Thursday evening. According to more of the statement:

I approved a 40-day influence operation for the Service against the aggressor state aimed at compelling it to end the war.

Importantly, for several months in a row, the SSU has demonstrated the highest performance in defending Ukraine’s positions on the front lines through the use of various types of drones. The Center of Special Operations “Alpha” leads in terms of the occupier’s personnel and equipment neutralized.

Earlier, in mid-June, Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov proclaimed  "Hell is beginning," for Russia and its military. "Logistics are being cut off. Crimea is being isolated," he said at the time.

All this is pure propaganda, Ukraine's drones are not capable of delivering significant payloads of explosive, the pall of smoke we see over Russian cities on TV news are just that - smoke, visual effects. The drones are little more than petrol bombs, they hit, there is a shortlived burst of flame, a disproportaonatly large amount of thick, greasy black smoke and some scorched concrete and blistered paint.

The exception to this is this is Ukraine's success in hitting oil refineries and depots. Any kind of incendiary device, even a lighted match, is a danger in such sites where spillages and leaks are invevitable. 

Ukraine's asymmetric warfare against Russia's much-larger and better armed military machine is certainly having an effect. Russian forces still have the upper-hand on the front line in the east, but the pain clearly being inflicted on Russia's economy can't be ignored at this point. And the question is how much longer will Russia continue to ignore it before the Kremlin's patience finally runs out ad they launch a response that will finally draw NATO into direct involvement?

All these Ukie attacks into Russia are attempts to get Putin to escalate. There is a big difference between how Ukraine is hitting Russia and how Russia hits Ukraine with long range strikes. Russia is hitting Ukraine with glide bombs, Iskander missiles and TOS fuel air missiles among other things. These weapons can take out city blocks and reinforced bunkers. Ukrainian drones don't have the destructive power of a ton of missile warhead dropped from the edge of space or a 2000 lb bomb. Ukrainians make their strikes look good for the media  by adding kerosene to a 10 lb warhead. makes lots of smoke and fire but doesn't do a hell of a lot of damage.  

Ukrainians would love nothing better than involving Russia in a war with NATO and making the Russians have to defend across Europe and the arctic against an alliance with 10X the population. That would certainly take the pressure off Ukraine.

Putin ain't stupid. He's keeping his focus on his objective

And for Zelensky, World War Three is back on the agenda.

Western Propaganda Will Keep Saying Ukraine Is Winning As Long As The FUDsters Are Naive Enough To Believe It

 

In the opening speech at the European defence and security summit, EU Commissioner for Defence and Space Policy Andrius Kubilius said on Tuesday in Brussels that Ukraine is gaining the upper hand on the battlefield, in the air and at sea, while Ukrainian drones have stopped Russia’s ground advance and are causing serious disruptions to Russian logistics.

The commissioner also claimed that Ukrainian drones can paralyse the supply of the Russian army up to 300 kilometers from the front lines.

According to the EU commissioner, Ukraine is no longer just a beneficiary of international subsidies, but also contributes to the protection of other countries.

Kubilius said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is reacting to Ukrainian successes with increasingly desperate attacks. He cited last week’s attack on the Kyiv monastery as an example, which he called an attack on culture, religion and civilisation.

According to the commissioner, Russia continues to pose a threat to Europe’s security, and Moscow may be able to test NATO’s Article 5, which establishes collective defence. At the same time, he emphasised that Ukraine’s successes do not mean the end of the war, nor do they mean that Russia is weak. Casualty figures released by the United Nations expose the lies of NATO and the EU.

Unfortunately, the parade of uninformed and paid FUDsters will continue as long as EU member states are willing to spaff millions of Euros on keeping up the propaganda campaign which has broadcast the message that Ukraine is winning since day one of the war. The tacked on goal to the SMO is the formation of a buffer or security zone along the Russia/Ukraine border whose required depth keeps expanding with every advance in drone capabilities. Soon, all of Ukraine will need to be turned into a security zone.
 
Scott Ritter’s return from Russia and the experiences he’s related brings up the two schools of thought present within Russia that look beyond the SMO to NATO’s antics–and we must recall that the Outlaw US Empire remains in charge of NATO, which is crucial to our understanding of the situation. One school of thought says the EU portion of NATO is killing itself and thus doesn’t need to be shot dead now. The other school says the EU portion of NATO must be shot dead now to ease Russia’s situation. Both schools seem to agree that NATO’s efforts to improve Ukraine’s position on the battlefield are useless, thus it’s the issue of NATO’s aid in terrorism that must be halted. 
 
Recently, Putin said to top graduates from military universities that Russia must prepare to shoot the EU dog dead, while Lavrov pounds the fact of the EU becoming Nazi, with both using the 85th anniversary of Barbarossa as additional weight for their remarks.

 There is no shortage of data available to arrive at a more rational conclusion about what is likely to happen over the next few months. Russia’s attrition strategy will continue as that’s where it has the most decisive advantage. 

The see-saw nature of drone advancements that provide each side a short window of advantage will continue. Russia’s massive advantage in total firepower will continue to exert its influence. It must be noted that Ukraine must fire a massive number of drones–up to 1000–just to get a few leakers that provide the black smoke used in its propaganda. Yes, Russian civilians do die on a daily basis from NATO terrorism, and that provides the kill the dog now school of thought’s argument. The validity of that argument means the nature and condition of EU/NATO leadership needs to be examined. 

As he said, Russia is still able to produce weapons and drones in large quantities, so Europe must prepare to strengthen its own defence capabilities.

Unfortunately the parade of uninformed and ignorant keyboard warriors have made up their minds which side is wearing the white hat in this war, and are quite willing to believe every scrap of propaganda nonsense that tells them Ukraine is winning and turn their backs on the evidence of what Zelensky and his corrupt cronies are doing to Ukraine as they enrich themselves by skimming off the $billions being donated (mostly unknowingly) by European, American and British taxpayers.

Ukraine is not winning. It is doubtful that Ukraine will be able to exist as a nation after the war eventually ends, having sacrificed a generation of young men in a pointless war. Western weapons, aimed and fired by western 'support technicians have inflicted damage on Russia, but throughout most of that vast country it;s business as usual with the occasional whizzbang to liven things up as another Ukrainian drone swarm is destroyed by guys on the ground with sniper rifles.

Futures - Some Speculations On How The Forever Wars May Change The World

It seems peace talks between the USA and Iran have now stalled completely thanks to the intervention of the Israelis although whether there were ever realistic hope for a lasting peace and full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz seaway will probably never be known.

What this means to the west and the democratic nations of south east Asia and the Pacific area is that we are in for prolonged high prices for fuel, disruption of supply lines and soaring cost of living as Russia and China take advantage of the situation to turn the screws and squeeze western economies.

Another possibility is Iran will fall. Unfortunate but the possibility exits. Instead of shutting out the possibility Russia should  plan (and probably has,)to turn it into a grand opportunity. If Iran is weakened it will be likely  to host Russian military bases in the country to counter the threat from Israel. Russia has been asking this but thus far Iran has refused. Very bad memories of WW2 events when Russia joined the evil empires. Having a military presence in the Strait of Hormuz is a game changer for Russia. Unlike Iran, Russia can’t be negotiated away from assuming a hostile position. 

This would create a massive bargaining chip to force surrender of Lewinsky Zelensky regime (pun so intended), lift petroleum sanctions against Russia (or Arab oil goes nowhere), a warm water port in Chabahar for nuclear submarines that more than compensate for the loss of Black Sea and Baltic Sea exits. Azerbaijan stands in the way of total Russian domination of the region.

It’s not well known that Russia is one of the leading exporters of foodstuffs, grains especially. Its farmers believe Russia has the ability to solve what they call the food problem, meaning global hunger. Within Russia and the Central Asian EAEU members, there’s a vast amount of land that can be cultivated or made into pasture, plus the advances  in greenhouse farming is remarkable allowing crops to be grown in what are very marginal climates. While governments in the UK and Europe obsess over crackpot policies like Net Zero, 'rewilding and importing all food and manufactured goods (paid for with money borrowed from China via the global banks,) the nations our leaders tell us are 'The Bad Guys' have positioned themselves to take advantage of the sentimental stupidities that pass for economic policy in the developed nations.

We should also look at the advances African nations have made toward attaining food sovereignty with help from Russia and China. The nations most affected by the fertiliser shortage caused first by the sanctions imposed on Russia for its action against the Ukronazis in Kiev and now exacerbated by the much reduced flow of goods out of The Persian Gulf, are those with industrial agriculture methods including the use of GM seeds whose high yields depend on those inputs. 

This kind of response from Russia and China is understandable, the US and Europe have been working to impoverish Russia since before 1945, and has colonised and exploited Africa since way before then, and has been no friend to China until it suited the elites and the global banks to use China as the world's workshop because of its low labour costs and a totalitarian systrem of government unencumbered by the lobbying of 'save-the-planet' screechers.
 

As things stand it looks increasingly possible the USA and Europe will lose the current set of wars that we are undertaking. Prolonged war would leave European Russia severely damaged.  Asian Russia and Central Asia are likely to survive mostly intact and have a convenient long border with China.  The US and Europe will continue to promote war and submission in Africa, but that is coming to an end due to growing Chinese influence on the dark continent. None of the west's leaders appear to possess the testicular fortitude to risk pissing off the Chinese as they have the Russians   

After the west's capitulation, Asian Russia would probably become very prosperous.  Prosperous enough to rebuild European Russia, and then help with other regions after that.  Africa will steadily grow and become an independent continent.  If they become mostly internally peaceful with respect to each other, Africa will prosper.
 
The US has the ability to destroy lots of the world before it loses, and the odds of the US unleashing nukes is not zero.  However, if the Democrats retake the White House at the end of the Trump presidency and revert to the loonytoons policies of the Obama and Biden eras, the ability of the US to control other nations will become close to non-existent.  Even if the Epstein class relocates to Argentina, their wealth and power will be substantially reduced.  Thus we can be reasonably optimistic about the long term future of humanity on the planet Earth.  It’s just the short term we should be concerned about.

Another possibility is Iran will fall. Unfortunate but the possibility exits. Instead of shutting out to the possibility Russia should plan to turn it into a grand opportunity. If Iran is weakened Iran will likely host Russian military bases in the country. Russia has been asking this but thus far Iran has refused. Very bad memories of WW2 events when Russia joined the evil empires. 

Having a military presence in the Strait of Hormuz would be a game changer for Russia. Unlike Iran, Russia can’t be negotiated away from assuming a hostile position. A massive bargaining chip to force surrender of Lewinsky Zelensky regime (pun so intended), lift petroleum sanctions against Russia (or Arab oil goes nowhere), a warm water port in Chabahar for nuclear submarines that more than compensate for the loss of Black Sea and Baltic Sea exits.

Ceasefire in Ukraine? Peace Deal With Iran? Don't Hold Your Breath

 

This weekend President Donald Trump has been busy claiming a deal with Iran to end the latest Gulf war, which includes the repening of the Strait of Hormuz is 'almost complete.' whatever that means. Nither side is giving away much in terms of what precisely might be in the deal, with President Trump having earlier said he's in no hurry. But we can hope weekend contains some of the most positive momentum towards an actual peace deal and extended ceasefire to date. The New York Times (NYT) has the latest information:

Iran’s leaders or official state media have not publicly commented on what is in any potential agreement or what is being discussed. Over the last 24 hours, Iranian and U.S. officials have offered some conflicting depictions of what a deal might contain. On Sunday, the U.S. official said a deal had not yet been signed and was still subject to final approval from President Trump and Iran’s supreme leader, which could take days.

The senior U.S. official said the mechanism by which Iran would dispose of its highly enriched uranium was still being negotiated. Mr. Trump has insisted that the United States seize the material as part of his vow to curb Iran’s nuclear program.

Mr. Trump said in a social media post earlier on Sunday that he had ordered his negotiators “not to rush into a deal,” after saying a day earlier that a preliminary agreement between the two countries was “largely negotiated.”

But Trump is taking some political flak both at home and in Israel, for potentially agreeing to a deal which cedes too much ground to Tehran - or at least that's the growing criticism of the hawks.

Meanwhile in the Black Sea region a drone strike on a student dorm in Russian-controlled Luhansk killed 18 people and triggered rescue efforts. The attack sparked a sharp UN clash as Moscow weighed retaliation and Kyiv denied targeting civilians..

Denial or no, retribution was swift and terrible as an overnight bombardment kills four and destroyed many targets in one of Russia’s most wide-reaching assaults since start of war. 

Russia unleashed hundreds of drones and missiles on Kyiv overnight, including a nuclear-capable hypersonic missile.

The Oreshnik, an intermediate-range ballistic missile designed to carry nuclear warheads, hit the town of Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region, 50 miles south of the capital, Ukrainian officials confirmed.

The weapon, which travels 10 times faster than the speed of sound, has been said to be impossible to intercept. Footage purporting to show the strike on Sunday appeared to show its characteristic clusters of projectiles streaking towards the ground.

And so the wars in Ukraine and the Middle east go on like a merry go round and every news repoprts starts to sound like deja vu all over again..

Far too much of the propaganda published in western media about both these wars has plugged the good guys versus bad guys theme with the western alliance presented as the good guys wearing white hats while Russia and Iran respectively are bad guys. Naturally Russia and Iran take the opposite view.

Unfortunately nothing is ever that simple.

Today, Russia’s MFA issued a “statement on the end of the Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons” that deals with the Twin War Crimes on Iran and their effect on the NPT. The first three paragraphs are translated below:
 

Against the backdrop of the landslide degradation of regional and global security, characterized by a significant increase in threats and an increase in the role of the force factor in international relations, the conference demonstrated sharp contradictions between many States Parties to the Treaty, which together became decisive both for the course and content of the discussions, and for the overall outcome of the event.
 
 
The most serious obstacle to the implementation of the tasks facing the forum was the aggression of Israel and the United States against Iran, carried out in June 2025 and February-March 2026 under the far-fetched pretext of “protecting” the nuclear non-proliferation regime. The use of the Treaty to settle political scores and justify the use of force has taken place before. However, the current state of affairs has clearly revealed the disastrous consequences for the NPT that such unprovoked, unjustified and illegal actions entail. The conference was not ready to give a balanced assessment of the situation around Iran.
 
 
The “contribution” to the formation of an unfavorable atmosphere at the forum was made by the delegations of the “collective West”, who arrived in New York to solve their own political problems that have nothing to do with the subject of the NPT. They, primarily the EU countries and NATO members, as well as the Brussels European bureaucracy, in every possible way hindered an effective dialogue, promoting a destructive agenda focused mainly on criticism of Russia, China, Iran and the DPRK. [My Emphasis]

 
IMO, Western conduct at this meeting doesn’t bode well for any settlement of the twin War Crimes visited on Iran since the attack on the NPT is led by the Outlaw US Empire. Today, Lavrov was involved at the XXXIV Assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy, which is a very serious gathering that needs to be investigated deeper than the statement Lavrov made. Here’re its first several paragraphs:
 

The report mentioned by Chairman of the Presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy Fyodor Lukyanov is indeed very useful. It leads to many thoughts, including the idea that is increasingly making its way into the public space – whether everything we are experiencing is not another world war. I am sure we will talk about its global reach today.
