Zelensky Says He'll End War On Terms He Could Have Had In Early 2022 But With One Condition Russia Will Never Accept

Picture: Daily Mail

Former Ukraine President, now unelected dictatorVolodymyr Zelensky (his term of office expired earlier this year, since then his regime has not had legitimacy,) said on Friday night that he was willing to cede territory to Russia to end the war for the first time on condition that Ukraine is admitted to NATO “fast”.

In an interview with Sky News, the Ukrainian President suggested he was prepared to end the “hot phase” of the war in exchange for membership of the bloc. There is no chance of Russia accepting that condition but if it is a negotiating position there is a chance for a compromise to be reached. Ukraine could become a neutral state under the protection of NATO.

Zelensky said if the Ukrainian territory under control of the Kiev regime was taken “under the NATO umbrella”, he could negotiate return the rest, which is currently under Russian occupation, in a “diplomatic way”. In reality this means the coke snorting president with the piano playing plonker is living in cloud cuckoo land or he accepts Ukraine's claim to Donbas is as likely to succeed as Argentina's claim to the Falkland Islands or North Korea's claim to South Korea.

However Zelensky has previously suggested that the war would not end until his country is returned to its internationally recognised borders so this position is a significant retreat from his previous hard line.

“If we want to stop the hot phase of the war, we need to take under the NATO umbrella the territory of Ukraine that we have under our control,” Zelensky said.

“We need to do it fast. And then on the [occupied] territory of Ukraine, Ukraine can get them back in a diplomatic way.”

The Ukrainian leader was commenting on what President-elect Donald Trump’s desire for an early end to the conflict would mean for his country.

The solution to this ought to be simple: US/NATO must back off, stop providing eapons, technical support and money to the Ukis and stop attempting to achieve a regime change in Russia together with a break-up of the country to plunder its natural resources (oil, gas, nitrates, lithium, iron, copper, rare earth metals, etc.. There was truly never any other other reason for this conflict and as we mention almost every week, a settlement under very similar terms was offered by Russia in AApril 2022 but that was blocked by the USA, UK and NATO, and Ukraine was ordered to fight on.

Nobody can seriously believe that USA or NATO care about ‘democracy’ or whether Ukraine is governed by a Russian or Ukrainian government. They only care about western economic hegemony and subjection of any dissidents to ‘Western rules and values’. And of course the break up of The Russian Federation and fragmentation of Ukraine would leave the vast mineral and agrigultural resources of that huge land area up for grabs.

The hypocrisy is clear. Russia invades Ukraine and all hell breaks loose: USA blows up Nord Stream (and the subservient EU promises to buy LNG from USA); US orders NATO, UK and EU into action; everybody promises to support Ukraine with weapons, tech support and cash, sacrificing only Ukrainian lives and the prosperity of their own citizens “for as long as it takes”.

Russia will not back down, Russia does not back down. The country has lost too many of its own people willing to sacrifice their lives for their country, knowing this war was really never about only a local kerfuffle in a borderline third world country in Eastern Europe. It is NATO that has escalated the war and since the collapse of the Soviet Union has continually expanded its borders, not Russia. Russia wants/wanted to economically benefit from a close relationship with the West. It was USA that could not, and still cannot, disassociate itself from its Cold War attitude to Russia.

ARCHIVE SELECTIONS ON UKRAINE WAR:

Western leaders Still Want To Let Ukraine Join NATO Though Even They Must Know It Would Start WW3
‘When are you going to let us use the Storm Shadow?’ a maimed Ukrainian soldier is reported to have asked Boris Johnson during the former Prime Minister's most recent visit to Ukraine. The young man was referring to the Storm Shadw missiles donated to the Ukie was effort by the UK. His comment was prompted by the mass murderer Zelensky's latest idiotic whine about the US /UK / NATO refusal to sanction the use of such missiles to strike targets deep within Russian territory.

Ukraine's President Zelensky, after meeting UK Prime Minister and current warmonger in chief 'Sir' Keir SStürmer has ben relying on Britain to lead the charge of the Allies to be first to supply Kiev with weapons enabling then to strike targets deep within Russian territory. It is true Starmer has said he wants the UK to 'lead he world' in giving the Ukies the support they need to start World War Three and several other policies whivh can only result in the destruction of civilised society.

Risk of a nuclear incident at the Kursk nuclear power plant,’ because of Ukie drone strikes warns IAEA“There is a risk of a nuclear incident at the Kursk nuclear power plant,” said Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) following his visit on Tuesday (27 August) to the facility in Kurchatov, close to the Russian border and the area curenly occupied by Ukrainian troops. He added that he had been shown evidence of damage caused by Ukie drone strikes during his visit to the plant.

If You're Afraid Of Nuclear War You're Not Supporting Ukraine Enough Is Zelensky's Latest Message
The follow up to Elon Musk's refusal to open his Starlink satellite network for the benefit of Ukrainian military leaders as they fantasise about attacking Crimea and driving out the Russian occupying force this past week showcases how completely unhinged and dangerous the Ukrainian government's desire to escalate the war has become.

Will Commodities Be The New Reserve Currency As The Death Knell Of The Dollar Sounds?
Many respected economists and market analysts who favour the free markets approach concur that we are heading towards a new economic reality that will see the collapse of the US$ as the default reserve currency, to be replaced not by any other fiat currency such as the Euro or the Renminbi, but by a system in which  commodities are the primary denominator of value. Should this turn out to be the case we can expect an acceleration of the shift in geopolitical power from west to East.

Russia Just Sent out a Message NATO Should Better Listen To
The key paragraph from the latest official Russian naval doctrine is that Putin and his military advisers have sent a clear message that NATO encroachment is unacceptable. To be honest, there is nothing earth shattering in this, The Daily Stirrer and many other alternative media news and analysis sites have been warning for about two years that Obama's foreign policy was making conflict inevitable.

Russia 'fires Intercontinental Ballistic Missile' at Ukraine, Will Crazy Joe Biden Heed The Warning?

by Boggart Blogger

Only days after the USA, UK and Ukraine’s governments escalated the conflict with Russia by granting permission for and firing medium range guided missiles into Russian territory, the Kiev regime  has reported that Russia launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) overnight, targeting the central-eastern city of Dnipro. If confirmed, this would mark the first time Moscow has used such a missile in the ongoing conflict.

In a statement released Thursday via the Telegram messaging app, Ukraine’s Air Force did not specify the exact type of missile but confirmed it was launched from Russia's Astrakhan region, which borders the Caspian Sea. Along with the ICBM, Russia reportedly fired eight other missiles at the city. Ukrainian sources claim their air defence system successfully intercepted six of the incoming missiles.

We add our uual caveat that claims from either side in this conflict should be treated with scitcism. In this case while Russia has not commented on the Ukrainian claim, a United Nations official has stated that none of the missiles fired at Dnipro was an ICBM

While the use of an ICBM may seem excessive for such a target, these missiles are typically equipped with nuclear warheads. The launch serves as a stark reminder of Russia’s nuclear capabilities and raises concerns of further escalation in the war. In view of Putin's recent warning that if Ukraine contined to launch missile attacks on its territory, a nuclear response was possible.

This is an inevitable development of Kiev's insanse decision to escalate the conflict by firing much less powerful missiles with shorter ranges into Russian territory. Who exactly makes the decisions is an open question.

Russia's firing ICBMs at insignificant targets that has little to do with military logistics or the Armed Forces of Ukraine suggests this is a warning to the war loving loonies in Washington.

On Sunday, news broke that President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use long-range American missiles to strike deeper into Russian territory. After the US gave Ukraine the greenlight to strike targets on the Russian side of the border earlier this year, the Ukrainian government and its biggest cheerleaders in Washington have been pressuring the president to support longer-range strikes—especially after Ukraine launched its invasion of Russia’s Kursk region. Sunday, they got their wish. On Tuesday, the first missile was launched at a target in Russia’s Bryansk region and the UK's attention seeking Prime Minister also gave permission for Ukrain to use missiles from Britain on Russian targets.

These moves have caused concern among many diplomats and military leaders in the West as the situation is seen as having moved the global community several steps towards all out war..

In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a change to Russia’s nuclear doctrine. According to the changes, the Kremlin now considers an attack on Russia carried out by a non-nuclear state with the support of a nuclear-armed power to be a joint attack. Also, under the new doctrine, a conventional attack that poses a “critical threat to Russian sovereignty” now meets the official threshold to trigger a Russian nuclear response. Yesterday, those changes were made official.

The American weapon system the Ukrainians are now using is the Army Tactical Missile System or ATACMS. They have a range of 190 miles and, importantly, require the US or its allies to provide the targeting coordinates every time it’s shot. So, the US is not merely allowing the Ukrainians to fire missiles deeper into Russia, it’s actively helping them do so. The British missiles are Anglo - French Storm Shadow missiles which do not have a large payload and cannot deliver nuclear warheads.

Because of this escalation, which some pundits have described as an attempt by the USA and UK to start World War 3 before President elect Trump, who has pledged to ened the war quickly, can be sworn into office in January. Thus there is speculation that the latest attack on Ukraine is a warning to US that Russia will not tolerate efforts by the USA / NATO to prolong their proxy war with Russia.

The conflict has evolved into a more international issue with the arrival of North Korean troops to support Russia on the battlefield, a development that US officials say led President Joe Biden to adjust his policy on allowing Ukraine to use longer-range US missiles against Russia. In response, the Kremlin has threatened further escalation.

The Democrats, Biden's party, heavily defeated in the recent election, have always been the party of war, it's just that most Americans do not pay very close attention, nor do they know their history and so cling to the belief, nurtured in the short presidency of John F Kennedy, that the Democrats are peaceniks. If you still believe this narrative, check out the track record prior to the 21st century: WW I - Wilson,, WW II - Roosevelt and Truman, Korea - Truman, Vietnam - Johnson and Eisenhower (Republican,) Balkans Clinton,  All American involvement in these wars was started by democrat presidents. After 2000 the situation gets murkier with Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden all having intervened in continuing conflicts in the world's major trouble spots.

Much of the latest noise from The Black Sea are is pure propaganda, ATACMS , SCALP and Storm Shadows have been employed by Ukraine since 2023... there are headline of the Ukie propaganda machine celebrating the attacks. Unfortunately theRussians are not playing by the same rules. Ironically detached Westerners must learn that war and geopolitics are not a game. They are serious business with very serious consequences.

So in defence of Russia, we must remind ourselves that their enemies wish to dismantle the country into little statelets that they can colonize or indirectly rule, but mainly gain control of the wealth of natural resources in this vast territory. And those western leaders who think it is a game need to be made aware that within the era of recorded history, Russia has never lost a home game. Russia shall never fall. She may stumble from time to time but she always gets back up. There are more than a thousand years of suffering in the Russian people's bones. The Russians are as well prepared as anyone in the world to survive hardship and grow stronger because of it. All this must be done within 10 days.

Time is currently playing against NATO.

The West Is About To Shoot Itself In The Foot In Its Economic War With Russia

In spite of all the sanctions imposed by the NATO alliance and all the false narratives spun by government propagandists and mainstream media commentators in the west the Russian performed more strongly last year than any G7 advanced economy, including the US, and according to International Monetary Fund forecasts, and is expected to do so again this year. Sanctions have at best only slightly weakened the Russian war machine.

Credit: Sofia Sandurskaya/Pool Sputnik Kremlin

The main reason for this failure is Russia's trade partnership with China, which is set to overtake the USA as the world's largest economy but another reason is the “Global South” – the fashionable term for countries making up the developing and low income world. Nations of such disparate and often conflicting geopolitical and economic interest cannot be so easily pigeon-holed.

To understand the roots of anti-Western feeling you have to go way back to colonial times, and the resentments that this now long-gone world incubated. But it has also grown worse in recent decades, starting with disastrous Western interventions in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and continuing with the global financial crisis, which undermined trust in Western financial markets.

Yet there is one thing many members do tend to have in common, which is a generally anti-Western mindset. This assumes particular meaning when it comes to Russian sanctions.

That these have self-evidently failed is largely because major parts of the “Global South” have refused to be bound by them, thereby providing ample export markets for Russian oil – which after being refined is frequently re-exported to Western markets – and abundant alternatives to the West in meeting Russian demand for manufactured goods.

To understand the roots of anti-Western feeling in the Global South we must look back to colonial times, and the resentments that this now long-gone world incubated. But it has also grown worse in recent decades, starting with disastrous Western interventions in both Afghanistan and Iraq, non violent meddling in the internal politics of many other nations, and continuing with the global financial crisis, which undermined trust in Western financial markets.

Unlike China, which has showered the Global South with development money, the West has taken few steps to effectively court these economies. It then further added to the sense of grievance by initially refusing to share vaccine innovations during the pandemic with low income countries.

A remarkable commentary by 'Inside Russia' on this very issue, was publisged yesterday:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIzN2tIynxM

It's about 48 minutes long. I think that what he's saying makes a heck of a lot of sense and challenge those Russophobic people still convinced that Russia is close to collapse and Ukraine is winning the war to listen to that and then to say it's not true and I am just a far right nutter and Putin's catamite.

But the heart of the commentary is the point that a large percentage of the Russian population is being redirected into supporting the war against Ukraine. The Russian government is spending lots of money on this war, and you can get a much better salary working for the war effort than what the non-war economy offers. And so in consequence the non-war (domestic) economy is suffering shortages of labour and materials. And lots of things are failing.

When the war ends, what will there be to show for it? A lot of dead Ukrainians and lot of dead Russians for sure. But Russia will still have oil and gas, coal, iron, nitrates, phosphates and a wealth of other natural resources as well as its valuable agricultural economy. And Ukraine will have ...... been reduced to rubble.

This being the case the next issue is the rebuilding of Ukraine. Putin will only pay for rebuilding those Ukrainian territories that will become part of Russia. The west has been running its economies on debt for decades and its credit is almost maxed out. One plan being considered is “To seize and transfer frozen Russian assets held in the west..." To do so will set a disastrous precedent against the existing international financial order and further alienate the Global South and drive those developing nations towards BRICS, the free trade bloc set uo by Russia and China. This issue is only of concern to Russia, its Chinese allies, and the Global South, all of which have valuable assets held in the west. “Moving from freezing assets to confiscating and disposing of them is something that needs to be carefully considered”, Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank, said last week, which is understated central bank speak for “this is beyond the pale”. If the west goes ahead with that plan it could wreck the global financial system. During both the Fst and Second World Wars, Central Banks, regardless of which country they belonged to, set out to operate in international money markets as if not a shot had been fired, with regular contact maintained and gold reserves scrupulously curated on behalf of hostile powers. If governments force their Central Banks to We pretend that most of the things that governments do are productive although the preceding paragraph shows they are not. Is that really a valid assumption? That is one of the implicit assumptions behind the GDP number. That a government expenditure is productive and as productive as that of a private company. War is certainly productive for the private companies that manufacture weapons, ammunition and equipment, but for governments, though it may increase GDP just as welfare expediture increases GDP because benefit claimants spend the money taken from productive people who pay taxes and spend it. But it does not increase the overall wealth of the nation. And to seize the wealth of foreign nations would fragment the world and led to more and more regional wars. However much of Russia's industry is supported by government from revenue earned by export of natural commodities from its vast reserves. Thus we cannot really compare Russia with western economies. The west is bankrupt having spaffed the last of it wealth fighting a pointless and unwinnable war. And Russia, by extending its influence in the Global South has been productive and added significantly to its geopolitical clout.

The Global Times, a Chinese state controlled news outlet, had this to say about the matter: “To seize and transfer frozen Russian assets... will set a disastrous precedent against the existing international financial order”. Nor is it an issue only of concern to Russia, its Chinese allies, and the Global South. “Moving from freezing assets to confiscating and disposing of them is something that needs to be carefully considered”, Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank, said last week, which is understated central bank speak for “this is beyond the pale”. Central banks are often accused of being essentially supranational organisations with scant regard for the nations to which they belong. Sometimes it’s true. During both the First and Second World Wars, they set out to operate in international money markets as if not a shot had been fired, with regular contact maintained and gold reserves scrupulously curated on behalf of hostile powers.

There Is Only One Way Ukraine Can End The War
As Ukraine's much hyped counterattack has failed to achieved the and momentum that hoped for by American and NATO leaders including President Volodymyr Zelensky who admitted it was "slower than desired", and a range of soldiers interviewed by BBC and Sky News television reporters t on different parts of the long (probably too long given the depletion of Ukrainian military manpower,) frontline have blamed minefields laid by Russian troops for that delay. Jingoistic Western Triumphalism Will Not End The War In Ukraine Or Cripple Putin, But It Is Crippling Western Nations

Who Is Winning In The New Scramble For Africa

As the internecine conflict in Sudan morphs into Africa's latest humanitarian crisis people in the compassion fatigued west heave a weary sigh and get ready to reach into their pockets, wall;ets and bank accounts once more as heart rending stories images of suffering and deprivation flood our media.

Reports of violence breaking out in Africa rarely raise eyebrows in the West these days. chances are the conflics seem far away both geographically and culturally to us and so we feel it has little to do with us, whatever 'progressives' and the woke brigade may deem the West’s historical responsibilities for the continent’s problems may be. But as the recent events in Sudan demonstrate, this is no longer the case. The turmoil unfolding there is of far more importance to us in a geopolitical sense than most previous ones.

While the fighting in Sudan is, on the face of it, little more than a power struggle between the two rival factions for control of the country, there is also an important international economic dimension to this conflict. At its heart is competition between the great powers for influence over the continent — what has been elsewhere been called the “new scramble for Africa”.

In view of Africa's its vast natural resources, including gold, its agricultural potential and its geopolitically strategic location, Sudan has long attracted regional and international power plays. In recent years, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Israel have all been cultivating economic and political ties with the country’s leadership  an,d its two warlords in particular.

Russia, however, stands out for its “special relationship” with Sudan. Putin made sure to cultivate an alliance with the country’s former leader, Omar al-Bashir, deploying the infamous Wagner Group in 2017 to provide him with political and military support. More importantly, that same year, al-Bashir signed a military cooperation agreement with Russia which included allowing the Russians to establish a military base along the Red Sea, ensuring a permanent presence for the Russian Navy in a crucial region and easy access to the Indian Ocean.

Al Bashir was overthrown in 2019 but Putin shrewdly switched his support to Sudan's new military leaders and continue to advance Russia's economic and political interests in the region. When considered in the context of China's expansion of commercial and political influence in Africa and other parts of the developing world, and the efforts of Saudi Arabia and Iran to promote their different brands of Islamism, the current conflict in Ukraine can be seen from a different angle, not so much a local conflict as part of a bigger face off between proponents of a monopolar world led by the USA and a multipolar world with economic and military power centred in the east rather than the west.

Africa, South America and parts of Asia have been the scene of Western (more recently US) political and economic meddling and manipulation for generations and the results haven’t always been pretty for the locals as Washington has systematically used the status of the US$ to crush other economic powers. Awkward questions have often been fobbed off with “He may be a tin-pot dictator but he’s our tin-pot dictator”

Is it surprising or disappointing to see that Russia and China can and do play the same game and have been doing it for years. While westrern governments have been pandering to the wimpish bleatings of extremist left wing minorities and pumping aid into African and other impoverished regions the Russians and Chinese have been making deals that benefitted their own interests as much as the places their investments helped develop.

Does anyone still think that nothing happens in Africa unless the US signs off on it? The West is fully engaged in using the cult of climate hysteria to solidify central planning political power. Much of the “science” has been either questioned or de-bunked entirely yet the propaganda and witch-hunts continue apace. It is China and Russia that are securing the supplies of natural resources essential to implement Western eco-diktats like Net-Zero. Are those deals fair and equitable? Probably not. Are they debt traps? Probably. But these deals are getting done and the Belts and Roads are actually being built.

Conversely, I invite you to behold Canada’s narcissistic sock model Trudeau. Canada just guaranteed Volkswagen $13B in subsidies for an EV battery plant. That announcement follows the uncharacteristically frank statement by Trudeau that Canada will probably never meet its NATO spending commitment (he’s somewhat less frank about admitting Canada hasn’t met any emissions targets). He was recently in New York crowing about this deal. The deal is secret (of course) but Trudeau claims Canada is such a wonderful place to do business that VW actually turned down more money from the US (Translation: Canada has made concessions that even the US wouldn’t consider). Meanwhile Canada has large lithium deposits that will endure years of regulatory reviews and court challenges before they ever see the light of day.

Clearly, Canada is not a global player but IMO this sort of reality-defying pretzel logic is indicative of Western leadership right now and clearly the BRICS + countries are taking advantage of it.

Another Humanitarian Crisis Looms In Africa

Russia's Surprise Withdrawal From Syria? "If We Don't Go Away, We Can't Come back Again.
There is no doubt that the withdrawal is not quite what it seems to be, but more likely a tactical move by the Russians. The Kremlin feels it has done enough to secure the regime of President Assad, the remnants of the Sunni Muslim Free Syrian Army are no longer capable of mounting a challenge and the Syrians, along with Shi'ite militias in Iraq and Kurdish irregulars, backed by Iranian Republic an Guard troops ought to be capable of dealing with ISIS

USA Extends Drone war To Africa
So why we wonder is the USA taking its drone war against the third world into deepest, sub Sahran Africa? There cannot be any reason for it, the cited aim of neutralising Boko Haram is not valid because boko Haram are not a standing army but a guerilla force that strikes and then melts away into the civilian population.

Nigerian President Lies: We Have 'Won the War’ Against Boko Haram.
Recently elected Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari (pictured), who used a campaign based on fearmongering to replace the government of President Goodluck Jonathan with a Muslim dominated regime says that his armed forces have met the December deadline set for defeating terror group Boko Haram. The oft quoted words of Mandy Raice Davis, a prostitute involved in a 1960s political scandal spring to mind. "He would say that wouldn't he?"

War For The middle East - Why Islamic State Is Winning

The Obama Administration, and in particular The State Department which under the leadership of John (57) Kerry looks after foreign policy has all in all had a nightmare few months since the turn of the year. Mediterranean Immigrant Crisis - EU plays politics with lives
The story of the migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean from the coast of north Africa to Italy is a humanitarian crisis. France’s President Hollande Says 'Non' To Obama’s Demand for Corporate Global Oligarchy
The embttled French President has become the first national leader to state categorically his country will not sign the Trans Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership being pushed by the USA's Obama Administration. Hollande's government is already the most unporular France has ever had and the President know to give away French sovereignty to US Corporate businesses would be political suicide.

Did Obama Hide His Background To Get Himself Elected. Six years into his Presidency, no more is known about Obama's background or early life than was known before he announced his candidacy. Where are the old classmates, roomies, girlfriends or in Obama's case boyfriends maybe, with slightly embarrassing stories that show he is human. And why did he order all records of his life to be sealed. There are many more questions of course, you may find a few answers in the embedded page below.
