Meghan Markle, Californian podcast host and internet influencer, former member of the British Royal Family and sometime actress (allegedly) cannot understand why anyone would use the term “woke” as an insult. “Woke, by definition, means ‘alert to injustice in society, especially racism’,” she said this week. “Now, what’s loaded or wrong with that?”
So The Duchess of Megan, a Californian girl with a shapely body and a charming smile thinks 'woke' means 'alert to injustice'? Nothing newsworthy about that, surely people didn't suspect her of having an IQ that reaches double figures did they?
Bizarrely quite a lot of people on the modern Left appear to share her confusion. So before we go into a series of posts about the excesses and idiocies of the 'woke' culture it seems appropriate to clear the matter up.

education departments. This model asserts that white people
are racist, whether they realise it or not, and that UK society is systemically racist. And it treats contested ideas, such as
‘structural racism’, ‘white privilege’ and ‘unconscious bias’, as fact. Basically it is propaganda aimed at brainwashing British kids into supporting black supremacist groups.
This new, virulent approach to opposing racism is very different from racial equality campaigns of the past. Rather than aiming to challenge the discrimination that denied certain groups the same rights and freedoms as the majority, the ideology behind this new , racist anti-racism does not seek equality. It is a form of identity politics that is intended to divide society along racial lines.
We should not be teaching children that they are living in a racist society but that all members of society are equal and have the same rights and privileges. That so many local authorities consider teaching hate and resentment a legitimate educational goal should worry us all. Encouraging schools to adopt this approach will not cultivate individuals capable of independent thinking, but that has always been the aim of the left, one need only read the novels of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley, themselves socialists but opposed to authoritarianism to confirm this. Teaching Critical Race Theory will only create new activists for this new, nasty, dictatorial corrupted form of anti-racism.
The DDU research also highlights the proliferating number of third-party organisations now working in the education sector. Among the councils that have approved teaching Critical Race Theory, 88 per cent partner with third-party organisations and the GayBLT group Stonewall. These overtly political groups are invited into schools to provide training and curriculum materials, often without any independent scrutiny.

MSNBC Doubles Down On Fascist Mission Statements: It's Our Job To Control How People Think... Not Elon Musk's
It has been amusing to observe this week how utterly incensed the 'woke', leftie hate mobs at Twitter were when they heard that Elon Musk, currently the richest man in the world's bid to buy Twitter, but for people who don't see the funny side of it, an old comment from the ultra left American news channel MSNBC is an important reminder of just how the lefties in the media media and their globalist billionaire psychopath overlords see their role in modern society.
As hours of coverage and an avalanche of op-eds are unleashed to explain to the masses why they should grab their pitchforks as Elon Musk offers to buy a social media platform at a significant premium for shareholders, this brief exchange between MSNBC presenters from 2017 perfectly summarizes exactly what is wrong with modern socirty.
On MSNBC's breakfast show 'Morning Joe', Mika Brzezinski, referring to President Trump said the following words in her out-loud voice...
"The dangerous edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts, and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsen, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think..."
And then the nail in the 'oops, I just told the truth coffin':
"...and that is our job."
To which the effervescent Joe Scarborough replies:
"Yeah".

And in case you thought that perhaps attitudes had changed in the intervening years and the propagandists at MSNBC had learned something from the hit their ratings have taken due to the utterly biased and distorted coverage on the COVID pandemic and decided gaslighting the public does not win them friends, viewers or advertising revenue, on Friday's 'Morning Joe', Brezinski repeated her delusional claim about the need to control information when raising alarm over how Musk's possible takeover of Twitter might affect the grip of the far left propaganda machine's grip on on social media and thus their ability to shape public opinion, calling a hypothetical Elon Musk takeover a "very dangerous precedent" for America.
"...are there any ways to stop him if he wants to buy Twitter? Are there any guardrails around something like this? Because this could be a very dangerous precedent,"
"He does not believe in the consequences of words," added Brezinki's guest, who had written earlier that "Elon Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter represents a chilling new threat: billionaire trolls taking over social media."
Somewhat bizarrely these people had nothing to say when Amazon founder and far left, 'woke' billionaire psychopaths Jeff Bezon took over The Washington Post, or when former world's richest man Bill Gates acquires controlling interests in numerous influential print and TV news companies. The problem for MSNBC is of course that while the 'woke' left are intent on controlling not only what people say but what they think, Elon Musk, whatever else we might think of him (and I'm not a fan,) is a determined defender of free speech, even if it means allowing people he disagrees with a platform on a site he owns. Other billionaire psychopaths, Twitter's founder Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Amazon's Jeff Bezos being the most notable examples as all have been driving forces in the hounding of conservative and libertarian voices from their platforms.

(ii) if you disagree with me you are my enemy. Indeed you are perpetrating "micro aggressions" at one end of the spectrum, you are probably supporting a scheme that perpetuates structural violence you could even be committing hermeneutical murder as to deny my experience is to deny the relevance of my existence.
(iii) You must not expect either me or others to be resilient, indeed I must be protected from anything that I might perceive as being upsetting (hence trigger warnings in the school curriculum and counselling for what most would consider to be trivial events. It is not incumbent on me to try harder it is incumbent on you to make it easier for me.
A lot of woke folk do not know what they are aligning with, but it seems like a good idea since they may be able to cast themselves as a victim and through victimhood benefit in some way. Universities - usually in arts and humanities departments of low ranking universities propagandise wokeness. They weaponise language and make unfalsifiable statements. The woke experience intense resentment and project this on to others while not taking responsibiity for themselves, They foster resentment in others as a means of seeking power and or status.
