Alice Weidel, Leader Of Germany's AfD calls Brussels ‘openly corrupt’

 

 

Alice Weidel, co-leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party which is currently battling attempts by political rivals to have it banned as a threat to democraxy, says Germany is digging its own grave. Her words came during an interview Weidel gave to Hungary’s Patriot Extra program, covered by Mandiner.

According to the nationalist politician, the European Union has “completely degenerated,” does not represent nation states or sovereign peoples, and has now become a machine run by overpaid bureaucrats that only causes harm.

Weidel says Germany’s economic decline is rooted in domestic decisions. High energy prices, mass immigration, the green transition, and the phase-out of nuclear power have made German industry uncompetitive, especially the  motor industry, which she says is being deliberately destroyed by Brussels regulations.

“All the bad rules were made in Brussels,” she said, emphasizing that the ban on internal combustion engines and environmental sanctions benefit China and American companies, not European workers. According to Weidel, Germany and Europe need a free market where everyone can produce and buy what they want.

Weidel also said the German government was playing politics against the population, lying to people, and doing the opposite of what it promised, adding "European bureaucrats make decisions that harm citizens, but benefit a narrow circle of elites. Instead of developing its own industry, Germany is forced to buy American weapons for Ukraine, which proves the weakness of the EU.

"Nobody needs the conflict in Ukraine, the war only worsens the crisis in Europe. Brussels is acting in the interests of the United States, not the European nations."

Weidel also spoke of her belief that the EU has become a tool of globalists, and its leadership ignores democratic principles. If the trend continues, the European Union will collapse, either because of internal contradictions or because of the growing resistance of countries like Hungary.

Last Week We Reported Ukrainian Leader Zelensky Would Be Ousted Soon, Now We're Hearing His Fall Could Be Imminent

 

In spite of US President's U - turn on sending arms to Ukraine after halting deliveries only a few weeks ago, it appears that the Zelensky regime is facing collapse, as boh the Ukrainian people are sick of war and death and his European allies are turning against him due to the way he has sabotages peace moves instigated by the USA and Turkey. 

The idea that Zelensky united Ukraine is laughable. His government is generally hated, as they have thrown hundreds of thousands of young (and latterly not so young) Ukrainians to their deaths, while his neo - Nazi backers  have got fat by siphoning off money from the billions of dollars sent there from the USA and Europe. Possibly Zelensky is the only world leader more despised by his own people than Keir Starmer. But if he makes a move towards peace to end the suffering of the people, he would surely be killed by his neo Nazi bosses in Kiev who want the war to go on forever.

The coup de grace that finally shattered the west's glossy image of the Ukrainian president comes in the wake of a controversial law that has allowed him to seize power over independent anti-corruption agencies.  

Politico (Europe) just ran an article entitled: “Ukraine’s insidious enemy: Its own leadership.”

The website writes: “After gutting two key anti-corruption agencies (NABU and SAPO), Kyiv’s democratic backsliding has finally caught the world’s attention.”

It then goes on to refer to “the country’s own semi-autocratic leadership.”

According to Politico, opposition members and NGOs have been “long warning about this” as Zelensky and his neo - Nazi backer seizes more and more power while intimidating critics, suppressing free speech, and branding his critics as Russian agents.

Pressure is also coming from the mass media, including the extremely influential Kyiv Independent, which just ran an editorial entitled: “Zelensky just betrayed Ukraine’s democracy — and everyone fighting for it.”

The Kyiv Independent has been a strong suporter of Zelensky throughout the war. The paper wrote that they warned about anti-democratic backsliding, and that it was now happening:

A parliamentary vote, led by President Volodymyr Zelensky’s lawmakers, today took away the independence of Ukraine’s key anti-corruption bodies — the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). Zelensky signed it into law the same day.

Under the new law, the prosecutor general, a notoriously non-independent figure, will now oversee anti-corruption investigations — in a complete overturn of the system that was set up to be independent from other law enforcement bodies.

In reality, it means that Zelensky’s office will be able to stop anyboy investigating his various dealings with foreign billionaires.

While Western corporate media have been shameless cheerleadersfor Zelensky's efforts to prolong the war to the financial benefit of his corrupt regime and its supporters, independent journalists on the ground have reported for years now concerning the unrest and disdain within large segments of the population due to his forced closure of churches and persecution of clergy, cancelling elections, kidnapping young men off the streets for military service and the arrest or disappearance of critical journalists (such as Gonzalo Lira, arrested and "died" in prison).

Even the US and NATO leaders have admitted that much of the aid provided has been lost to the massive corruption among Zelensky and his cronies.

The people of Ukraine know what's going on and, had elections been held, would have replaced this incompetent fascist long ago.

Trump's Latest Actions Trigger 'Threat To Democracy' Warnings From His Undemocratic Opponents.

 Since Donald Trump 'triggered' hypersensitive liberals and progressives (aka communist seditionists,) by activating the California National Guard against the protest of the governor, and then bringing in US Marines – both of which his critics argue are unconstitutional – is certainly provocative and possibly, in part at least, a theatrical stunt by the president to show who is in charge fotr the benefit of Governors in Democrat run states who think they can derail the Trump presidency. The street protests in Los Angeles were the result of his ordering a crackdown on illegal immigrants to the state, where for decades a far left state government has been actively encouraging illegal immigration.. You could be forgiven for thinking he deliberately provoked the alleged “rebellion” in order to humiliate California leaders.

It is worth noting that The Appeals Court ruled today that Trumps use of the California National Guard was legal, which is a bit inconvenient for those who would brand him a tyrannical dictator. In fact his action against illegal immigrats in California was a response to the state government's refusing to enforce federal law, and encouraging lawless among minority communities. 

Added to that, from the moment Trump announced his intention to run again for president, the Democrat Nomination Committee mobilised prosecutors, judges, the left media et al in a lawfare campaign against him. That is where the real threat to democracy  in the USA resides. Fortunately the American public saw through it.  

Trump is currently attacking California Democrat controlled state legislature on several fronts, shrewdly judging that the extremist Governor Gavin Newsom among all Democrat politocians was most likely to react unreasonably. Newsom duly obliged by orchestrating the pro - immigration riots that disrupted Los Angeles and other cities a couple of weeks ago. He is stripping the state of its powers under the Clean Power Act to impose tougher pollution rules than federal levels. He has signed an order blocking California’s plan to phase out petrol cars by 2035, and another stopping it capping nitrogen oxide emissions. He now is threatening to withhold federal disaster aid for wildfires.

Trump, in typical style called Newsom  “Governor Newscum” and added : “You know, hatred is never a good thing in politics. When you don’t like somebody, you don’t respect somebody, it’s harder for that person to get money if you’re on top.”

The end of American democracy comes not when we allow a Donald Trump to get away with process violations, but when we allow anyone to do so.

But the elites have been more than happy to live with that sort of thing, as long as it was Democrats doing it. As long as the ship was going to the way they wanted it to go.

Donald Trump has done some things that are not acceptable. The California Guard thing is not one of them, but others are. But if you call him out on those things, and ignore Democrats when they do so, then you are not aprincipled son of liberty, you are a partisan and a hack.

The Martyrng Of Marine Le Pen Will Only Serve To Accelerate The Rise Of Europe's Right

Marine Le Pen’s conviction for misuse of EU funds and subsequent five year ban ban from all politics including the democratic contest to become the French president (in which she has been consistently leading polls,) has polarised Europe, redefining the political narrative in the battle for the cultural and political heart of Europe. The verdict, making her ineligible to seek political office for five years, rules her out of the 2027 French presidential race, a contest for whih she was conidered the front runner, and will cement claims by her party, the right wing National Rally, that it faces judicial and political persecution in a system weighted in favour of the elite and is always subject to interference by the corrupt EU bureaucracy in Brussels.

“Today it is not only Marine Le Pen who was unjustly condemned: it was French democracy that was killed,” Giorgia Meloni, the Eurosceptic and populist prime minister of Italy, said.

While most of Europe's prominent left wing politicians were quick tio jump on the threat to democracy bandwagon, at least one pointed out that the conviction could backfire on the establihment by allowing Mme. Le Pen to present herself as a political martyr, and thus strengthen support for her party and her bid for the presidency one French conservative pointed out.

The French court's action has quickly been linked to the ruling by Romania’s constitutional court to cancel and postpone presidential elections last year that looked within the reach of the radical nationalist right, albeit in different circumstances, amid claims of Russian interference in the electoral process.

Even among French mainstream conservative Republicans party, however, there is the belief that the judgment is more about blocking a radical candidate and anti-establishment contender for power than a simple, black-and-white criminal case.

“The democratic destiny of our nation [is] confiscated by an outrageous judicial cabal,” Éric Ciotti, a former president of the party, said. “The favoured candidate in the presidential election prevented from running. This is not a simple dysfunction. It is a system to capture power that systematically throws aside any candidate that is too far to the right and who has a chance of winning.”

The narrative will add credibility to National Rally’s argument that the French political system is rigged against them after the party was locked out of power by tactical voting in parliamentary elections last year.

“…enabling her to pose as a political martyr…” says an opponent. There is no question that she is a political martyr. This conversion of fact to “misinformation” seems to be a common left wing and globalist tactic. The state must suppress evidence that mRNA vaccines cause harm, in case it causes vaccine hesitancy (amongst those who believe they cause harm because of that evidence). The state must hide strong evidence against Neodarwinism so as not to encourage the “Creationists” (ie all who believe there is strong evidence against Neodarwinism). The State must jail those who expose rape gangs (to prevent the public believing there are rape gangs). The must censor all news from Russia (whilst Russians retain access to ours) in case people believe Western censorship to be a far right talking point.

And all these acts which rob us of our freedoms are being implenented to protect our freedoms and save us from wicked people who pose a threat to democracy by standing as candidates opposed to the establishment in democratic elections.

German Elections: Integrity Of The Result Questioned After Anti - Establishment BSW Party Conveniently Fails By 14000 Votes To Win Seats

 

Globalist wet liberal Friedrich Merz looks set to be the next chancellor of Germany after his Christian Democrats (CDU), along with its Bavarian sister party (CSU), won Sunday’s federal election with 28.6 percent, comfortably ahead of the ani - immigration party AfD which seured second place thus breaking the traditional German duopoly as the Social Democrats crashed to only 16% of the vote.

The CDU/CSU did not win enough votes for an oversall majority and it is likely to form another Grand Coalition with the Social Democrats although the to parties have little common ground on policy and share only a desire born of fear for their own positions, to keep AfD out of government.

The election delivered the anticipated political shake-up as the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) made historic gains, the Free Democratic Party (FDP) crashed out of parliament, and the newly founded left-wing, anti-immigration BSW agonizingly fell just short of the 5 percent threshold to win seats in the Bundestag. Had BSW made it into the Bundestag that would have changed the picture because it would take seats from the SDP and leave Merz needing a third coalition member. The CSU, somewhat more conservative than the CDU who are a bunch of political grifters and will do anything to hold on to power.

CDU will not work with AfD and so would only have the far left Linke and the loony left Greens available to complete the triumvirate, but the CSU will not work with the Greens so a ruling coalition without AfD would not have been possible.

With just 14,000 votes, the election result could have been radically different. The German voting system only applies if a party scores 5 percent of the vote, and if they fail to achieve that, millions of votes can be flushed down the drain and those voters get no representation at all. While most countries have some kind of voter hurdle in Europe, Germany’s is exceptionally high.

The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) came incredibly close to wielding power, scoring 4.972 percent of the vote. In all of Germany, they were short 14,000 votes. 

German democracy only applies if a party scores 5 percent of the vote, and if they fail to achieve that, millions of votes can be flushed down the drain and those voters get no representation at all. While most countries have some kind of voter hurdle in Europe, Germany’s is exceptionally high.

The result means that the composition of parliament is vastly different than it would have been if the party was included. 

If BSW had made it into parliament, the CDU would have had to find a third coalition partner, as the SPD would not have been enough to secure a majority. With a two-party coalition, not only is it easier for the CDU to form a government but that government is also likely to be far more stable than a three-party coalition. The AfD and BSW would have also taken a third of all seats, which would have given them a blocking minority, and would have enabled them to push back in certain areas.

The AfD has doubled its vote since 2021, but is still falling short of its own ambitions. It is no longer a phenomenon confined to the former communist state of East Germany, winning over many working-class voters from the SPD, increasingly including those in West Germany, and many first-time voters. 

Campaigning as a fairly standard Right-wing populist party (not 'far right' as it has been dubbed in mainstream media all over Europe,) the leftward drift of legacy parties has given the working class voter nowhere else to look for a party that addresses their concerns. To be excluded  again from Government by the ‘firewall’, it will only become more popular as the face of the real opposition to the miserable status quo. We can easily anticipate the fate of whatever national coalition forms; similar coalitions at the state level have led to political gridlock

So far BSW leader, Sahra Wagenknecht has stated that it would not be the end of her party regardless of whether the BSW makes it into parliament or not; however, she has signaled she may withdraw from politics.

However, BSW MEP Fabio de Masi is already raising questions about the election outcome and hinting at jiggery pokery in the vote count, writing on X: “I fear this election will still keep Courts busy.”

“A legal round is not out of the question. Proceedings first in the Bundestag, then in the Federal Constitutional Court. The question is, are there electoral errors and are they relevant to the mandate?” wrote Masi.

 This could develop into a hugely entertaining mess. Nobody can hear the fat lady singing, in fact it seems certain she hasn't even entered the building yet. Get the snacks and beer ready.

After American TV news magazine “60 Minutes” screened a special on German hate speech laws which featured police raids on citizens across the country a backlash was triggered that could causer a potential diplomatic fallout between the U.S. and Germany and certainly led to a meltdown on certain parts  of social media

The 60 Minutes  program, made by American news network CBS, prompted Elon Musk to respond to the shocking clips of police state tactics being used by the increasingly authoritarian, far left ruling coalition, writing: “Thank the Lord that America has freedom of speech.”

Despite widespread criticism of Germany’s slide towards becoming an authoritarian police state, despite government claims that they are defending democracy, is little different from the Nazis in the 1930s, the police, legal authorities and the interior ministry show no signs of eassing back with raids against individuals posting “hate speech,” “insults,’ or “racist memes.”

Now German politicians are also jumping on the bandwagon after simply snivelling the usuak politically correct cliches whenever the topic of immigration was rased for years. Freedom of opinion is the basis of freedom in general. These searches undermine confidence in the validity of the Basic Law. We will ensure that the next Bundestag prevents such authoritarian excesses.”

However, the house raids may also result in diplomatic fallout between the U.S. and Germany.

“Insulting someone is not a crime, and criminalizing speech is going to put a real strain on European-US relationships. This is Orwellian, and everyone in Europe and the US must reject this lunacy,” wrote Vice President JD Vance.”

The 60 minutes special  also features German prosecutors laughing over the house searches conducted in Germany, with one German X user, Marc A. Wilms, writing: “This shows how quickly we have landed in Orwellian conditions. By the way, these gentlemen are having a lot of fun with the fact that people are shocked when their mobile phones are taken away during a house search.

Notably, hundreds of people, if not thousands , have had their homes searched and their internet enabled devices seized, as well as being threatened with prosecution, for “insulting” politicians. Among the insults included calling Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock the “worst foreign minister.” In another case, a man had his home raided when he called Economics Minister Robert Habeck an “idiot.”

However, when those same insults and worse are directed at members of the centre - right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, surprise, surprise, it is not then a prosecutable offense .

Just a few months ago, for instance, a federal court in Cologne’s found that extremist threats against the AfD constituted “freedom of expression.”

“Break down their doors and gates, slap them in the face. Vomit in their faces. I don’t give a sh*t,” said public figure Peter Fischer to German state television channel RTL. Despite his comments being a blatant incitement to violence violence against the party and its supporters, the court claimed the violent statements from Fischer, the former president of the Eintracht Frankfurt football club, are protected speech under German law.

Shock! Horror! V P Vance Tells Europeans They Have More To Fear From Their Own Leaders Than Russia Or China

 US Vice President J.D. Vance has shocked European leaders when he accused them of “criminalising” free speech, opening the immigration floodgates and brutally clamping down on dissent during in his address to the Munich Security Conference.  The US vice president also denounced the pariah status placed upon the popular AfD party, which the three parties involved in Germany's authoritarian ruling coalition, the more-socialist-than-Karl-Marx Social Democrats, the crazier-than-Howard Hughes Greens and the more inept than Mr. Bean FDP have tried to pass laws imposing a ban on the party taking part in democratic elections and even criminalising involvement with it.

“Democracy rests on the sacred principle that the voice of the people matters. There’s no room for firewalls,” he said, referencing a pledge by mainstream German parties not to work with or form governments with the party.

“The organisers of this very conference have banned lawmakers representing populist parties on both the left and the right from participating in these conversations,” he added, referring to the MSC this year barring politicians from the AfD politicians and the Left-populist Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance.

During his speech, Vance lectured European governments over free speech and mass immigration, accusing them of hostility to the idea that “somebody with an alternative viewpoint might express a different opinion or, God forbid, vote a different way, or even worse, win an election”.

The address was met with an angry rebuke from Boris Pistorius, the German defence minister, who labelled it “unacceptable”.

Olaf Scholz, the German chancellor, also rebuffed Mr Vance’s remarks as highly unusual, adding that Germany had a firewall against extreme right-wing parties for a good reason, citing its National Socialist past.

After addressing the conference Mr Vance met Ms Weidel after snubbing the opportunity to meet Olaf Scholz, the German chancellor, German media reported.

During his speech, he lectured European governments over free speech and mass migration, accusing them of hostility to the idea that “somebody with an alternative viewpoint might express a different opinion or, God forbid, vote a different way, or even worse, win an election”.

German's are notoriously immune to irony, as was demonstrated by Scholz's remarks after his party has spent most of the last year trying to have the AfD banned because they are a threat to the authoritarian government he leads.

The U.S Vice President took his culture war with Europe even further, warning that its greatest threat came not from China or Russia but from within as he delivered a blistering attack on what he said was the continent's retreat from its traditional values.

Vance said free speech and democratic institutions were being eroded in an address to the Munich Security Conference.

He accused European politicians of forcing people to shut down social media accounts and urged leaders to do more to stem illegal immigration, reserving particular scorn for America's closest ally, citing the case of a British man arrested after praying near an abortion clinic.

'Europe faces many challenges, but the crisis this continent faces right now, the crisis I believe we all face together, is one of our own making,' he said.

'If you're running in fear of your own voters, there is nothing America can do for you, nor, for that matter, is there anything that you can do for the American people who elected me and elected President Trump.'

If his audience of European VIPs had expected Vance to discuss the future of the war in Ukraine, outlining Donald Trump's peace plan, they were in for a shock. Some shifted in their seats as he attacked European politicians head on, particularly over their enthusiasm for censorship and loathing of free speech, telling his audience: "Free speech, I fear, is in retreat and in the interests of comedy, my friends, but also in the interest of truth. I will admit that sometimes the loudest voices for censorship have come not from within Europe, but from within my own country, where the prior administration threatened and bullied social media companies to censor so-called misinformation. Misinformation, like, for example, the idea that coronavirus had likely leaked from a laboratory in China. Our own government encouraged private companies to silence people who dared to utter what turned out to be an obvious truth.

"So I come here today not just with an observation, but with an offer. And just as the Biden administration seemed desperate to silence people for speaking their minds, so the Trump administration will do precisely the opposite, and I hope that we can work together on that."

Kaja Kallas, the EU’s foreign policy chief, said the speech made by JD Vance was akin to the US “trying to pick a fight” with Europe.

“Listening to that speech, they try to pick a fight with us and we don’t want to a pick a fight with our friends,” Ms Kallas said at the Munich event.

She added that allies should be focusing on bigger threats like Russia’s aggression on Ukraine.

Carl Bildt, the co-chair of the European Council on Foreign Relations and former prime minister of Sweden, condemned Vance's speech: “At best it was totally irrelevant to European or global security concerns. At worst it was blatant interference in the (German) election campaign in favour of far-right AfD,” he commented on X.

As former Russian leader Michael Gorbachev once said:
“The most puzzling development in world politics during the last decade is the apparent determination of Western European leaders to re-create the Soviet Union in Western Europe.”
