At Glasgow's COP26 conference last year, the leaders of 40 nations went though the meaningless biannual ritual of agreeing to phase coal out of their national energy policies in order to achieve the pointless and economically catastrophic for developed nations ambition of reaching 'net zero' on carbon emissions by the end of this century.
However, as Visual Capitalist's Bruno Venditti details below, despite all the grandiose pledges, in 2021 coal-fired electricity generation reached all-time highs globally, showing that eliminating coal from the energy mix is easily said but cannot be done simply by moving coal burning industries from the developed nations to emerging and third world economies.
The
infographic below, from Elements Visual Capitalists shows the aggressive phase-out of coal power that would be
required in order to reach net zero goals by 2050, based on an analysis
by Ember that uses data provided by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
Low-Cost Energy Carries a High Environmental Cost
Coal-powered
electricity production increased by 9.0% in 2021 to 10,042 Terawatt-hours
(TWh), the biggest percentage rise since 1985.
The main
reason for this reserugence of dear reliable Old King Coal is cost. Coal is the world’s most affordable energy fuel due to the energy intensity of this highly compressed form of carbon. Environmentalist doom mongers and the unwashed crusties of the anti fossil fuel movement claim that low-cost energy comes at a high cost for the environment,
with coal being the largest source of energy-related CO2 emissions. This is unscientific bollocks. In the past coal was a cheap, dirty fuel that pumped many real pollutants as well as Carbon Dioxide (CO2) which is essential to the continuance of life, into the atmosphere.Throughout the 1970s and 80s however, coal powered industried cleaned up their act, introducing technologies to remove various pollutants from their emissions until only CO2, the essential building material for all carbon based life forms (and ALL life forms, on this planet at least, are carbon based,) remained for the habitual whingers and virtue signallers to whinge and virtue signal about.
China currently has the highest coal consumption, making up 54% of the world’s coal electricity generation.
The country’s consumption jumped 12% between 2010 and 2020, despite
coal making up a lower percentage of the country’s energy mix in
relative terms and the ruling Chinese Communist Party has no plans to cease or slow down its building onf new coal fired power stations.
Together,
China and India account for 66% of global coal consumption and emit
about 35% of the world’s greenhouse gasses (GHG). If you add the United
States to the mix, this goes up to 72% of coal consumption and 49% of
GHGs.
According to the United Nations,
emissions from current and planned fossil energy infrastructure are
already more than twice the amount that would push the planet over 1.5°C
of global heating, a level that scientists say could bring more intense
heat, fire, storms, flooding, and drought than the present 1.2°C. This is calculated by scientists who, in the style of all modern science, look at output from mathematical models rather than empirical evidence. So far three decades worth of predictions based on mathematical models of reality have not produced one correct result.
The Transition to Renewables
According to The Science (that is the science of guesswork and wishful thinking,) Coal-powered
electricity generation must fall by 13% every year until 2030 to
achieve the Paris Agreement’s goals of keeping global heating to only
1.5 degrees.
To reach the mark, countries would need to speed up
the shift from their current carbon-intensive pathways to unreliable and intermittent energy sources like wind and solar.
How fast the transition away
from coal will be achieved depends on a complicated balance between
carbon emissions cuts and maintaining economic growth, the latter of
which is still largely dependent on coal power. It is possible of course that as a result of the energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine revealing just how dependent of fossil fuels the developed nations are, the politicians will come to their senses, sack their idiotic science advisers and fund development of clean coal powered generation technologies as well as returning to totally CO2 free, (but equally hated by the green wankers,) nuclear.
When
President Biden and other advocates of wind and solar generation speak,
they appear to believe that the challenge posed is just a matter of
currently having too much fossil fuel generation and not enough wind and
solar; and therefore, accomplishing the transition to "net
zero" will be a simple matter of building sufficient wind and solar
facilities and having those facilities replace the current ones that use
the fossil fuels.
They are completely wrong about that.
The
proposed transition to "net zero" via wind and solar power is not only
not easy, but is a total fantasy. It likely cannot occur at all without
dramatically undermining our economy, lifestyle and security, and it
certainly cannot occur at anything remotely approaching reasonable cost.
At some point, the ongoing forced transition... will crash and burn.
[I]t
doesn't matter whether you build a million wind turbines and solar
panels, or a billion, or a trillion. On a calm night, they will still
produce nothing, and will require full back-up from some other source.
If
you propose a predominantly wind/solar electricity system, where fossil
fuel back-up is banned, you must, repeat must, address the question of
energy storage. Without fossil fuel back-up, and with nuclear
and hydro constrained, storage is the only remaining option. How much
will be needed? How much will it cost? How long will the energy need to
remain in storage before it is used?
There should be
highly-detailed engineering studies of how the transition can be
accomplished.... But the opposite is the case. At the current time, the
government is paying little to no significant attention to the energy
storage problem. There is no detailed engineering plan of how to
accomplish the transition. There are no detailed government-supported
studies of how much storage will be needed, or of what technology can
accomplish the job, or of cost.
It gets worse:.... Ken
Gregory calculated the cost of such a system as well over $100 trillion,
before even getting to the question of whether battery technology
exists that can store such amounts of energy for months on end and then
discharge the energy over additional months. And even at that enormous
cost, that calculation only applied to current levels of
electricity consumption.... For purposes of comparison, the entire U.S.
GDP is currently around $22 trillion per year.
In
other words: we have a hundred-trillion-or-so dollar effort that under
presidential directive must be fully up and running by 2035, with
everybody's light and heat and everything else dependent on success, and
not only don't we have any feasibility study or demonstration project,
but we haven't started the basic research yet, and the building where
the basic research is to be conducted won't be ready until 2025.
Meanwhile
the country heads down a government-directed and coerced path of
massively building wind turbines and solar panels, while forcing the
closure of fully-functioning power plants burning coal, oil and natural
gas. It is only a question of time before somewhere the system ceases to
work.... [I]t is easy to see how the consequences could be dire. Will
millions be left without heat in the dead of winter, in which case many
will likely die? Will a fully-electrified transportation system get
knocked out, stranding millions without ability to get to work? Will our
military capabilities get disabled and enable some sort of attack?
No sane, let alone competent, government would ever be headed down this path.
We need energy security – not Net Zero Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has prompted a major rethink in the West. We have suddenly found ourselves vulnerable not just to rising prices in oil and gas, but also to inflation in other commodities – such as food and fertiliser. Of all these problems, the security of our energy supply has most exercised minds.
Net Zero Gone With The Wind - Boris Johnson Plans Seven New Nuclear Plants And Shelves Wind Expansion Reports in mainstream media suggest Boris Johnson has done a U turn on his recently announced massive expansion of wind powered generating capacity. Sources in Westminster claim Boris has shelved his masterplan for a giant, floating wind farm in The North Sea and the government will reconsider plans to double or even treble the number of wind turbines in the countryside and approve plans for up to seven new nuclear reactors instead.

We The Good Guys Versus They The Bad Guys Reporting Does Not Make Sense For The Ukraine Crisis Mainstream media reporting of the conflict in Ukraine has disappointed. Perhaps I was naive to suppose that lessons might have been learned from the hits their print sales and online traffic rates took as a result of their handling the COVID pandemic But instead of focusing on the most obviously newsworthy aspect of the build up to and escalation of the war, Russia’s view of NATO expansion into Ukraine and even further to Georgia and Kazakhstan, news reports have simply demonised Russia and portrayed Ukraine as the good guys.

Has The Green Blob's War On Fossil Fuels Been Lost On The Battlefields Of Ukraine
With some energy sector opinion makers already pronouncing the 'net zero' agenda is already dead as oil and gas supplies from Russia dry up due to NATO / EU sanctions and Moscow's retaliatory export bans which have only been in force a week at the most, governments in the liberal democracies of Europe and North America are already talking about starting up redundant coal and nuclear power stations, the UK, Netherlands and other nations with offshore gas operations in the North Sea are suddenly finding that it may now be economically viable to start pumping again and (whisper it ever so quietly,) coal is coming back into the reckoning as an energy source ...

For two years this blog has insisted that the published data on COVID cases and deaths, and later the figures used in coercive attempts to persuade people to accept vaccination were fabricated, an essential part of a massive campaign of scaremongering propaganda. Throughout the pandemic British people, like those in the rest of the world, have been force fed a diet of lies, misinformation, fake news and pure bullshit. There were numerous attempts to make those of us wise enough to refuse the killer vaccines feel as if we are oddballs or freaks. In November 2021 the government's Chief Scientific Advser, back by the chief medical adviser announced that just 5 million people in the United Kingdom were unvaccinated for COVID, having declined the offer of a Covid-19 vaccine.
Those of us who challenged the figures were called conspiracy theorandemic right.
An official UK Government report released into the public domain but unreported by mainstream media proves that in
England alone there are at least 19.2 million people who have not had a
single dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, 21.8 million people who have not had
two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, and 31 million who have not had 3 doses
of a Covid-19 Vaccine, meaning nearly half of England’s population has
become wise to the propaganda and lies spouted by the Government and
mainstream media over the past two years.
It was back in September that the British public were told there were 5 million Brits who had so far refused the experimental jabs. Sir Patrick Vallance, the UK’s Chief Scientific Advisor and former president of GlaxoSmithKline, announced in a televised Covid-19 briefing that “There are five million or so people who are eligible for vaccines now who haven’t been vaccinated,”.
Well it turns out the “or so” make up approximately another 14.2 million people in England alone as of 10th April 22 , bringing the grand total of people who have refused the Covid-19 jab to 19.184,986.
The UK Health Security Agency replaced Public Health England in the second half of 2021, and is sponsored by the Department for Health and Social Care and headed by Dr Jenny Harries.
Hidden deep within their monotonous weekly Flu & Covid-19 Surveillance Report,
they publish a section on ‘Covid-19 vaccine uptake in England’, and it
interestingly states that ’10th April 2022, the overall vaccine uptake
in England for dose 1 was only 43,945,696 from a possible 63,130,683
people. Therefore, 19.2 million people in England are not-vaccinated
against Covid-19 vaccine whatsoever.
UPDATE 5 May 2022: The latest report
from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reveals
that 74.2 million people living in the United States decided to just say no
to the experimental drugs. Another 157 million, we now know, got the
first “dose” of a two-shot series, but refused to get the second or
third one. (Read full story at Natural News)

A few weeks ago this blog reported a Swedish study which showed that natural immunity provides much better protection against infection by the SARS2-COV virus which causes COVID (COrona VIrus Disease,) than the Pfizer vaccine which is currently hyped as the most effective on the market, though it is no more effective than the others at provinding immunity. The more responsible voices in mainstream media that actually reported the story described by the news as “a bit of a bombshell”.

While I was talking to an old friend and a lifelong and somewhat
fanatical supporter of Manchester United football (aka soccer,) club he
asked who I though would win the Premier League title, United's great rivals
Manchester City or Liverpool. I could only say that given the current
standings it was a foregone conclusion one or the other would win it,
but I simply do not care.
Football, and indeed any team sports
were never a great enthusiasm of mine, I'd rather be doing than
watching, but up to a few years ago I took a passing interest simply so
that I was not left out of half the conversations among my friends in
pubs. Over the last decade however, my low level of involvement in
declined as the game became more politicised and more politically
correct, finally hitting zero when players (overpaid, overrated posers
with silly haircuts,) began 'taking the knee' in support of Black Lives
Matter during the torrent of woke hysteria that inundated public life in
the wake of the George Floyd incident.
The sound of people
chanting the Black Lives Matter mantra, ‘Silence is Violence’, echoed
around the world in the summer of 2020. Reverse Racism activists and
their supporters in political circles, media, the celebrity circus,
sport and academic communities jumped on the BLM bandwagon, declaring
that anybody who did not publicly support anti-black racism was by
defalut an anti - black racist.
If you failed to take the knee or
put a black square on
your Instagram page or faithfully mouth BLM’s childish political
slogans,
then you were complicit in the death of George Floyd and other and other
African Americans who died while committing crimes or resisting arrest
and of actual violence against people of colour.
It was all
idiotic of course, the kind of irrational virtue signalling we should
now be conditioned to expect from the 'woke' left.
Since then
of course it has emerged that George Floyd was a despicable thug and
small - time dickhead, that the innocent schoolteacher shot by trigger
happy police while in bad at home, was in fact in bed next to her drug
dealer boyfriend who started shooting when the cops burst in to arrest
him, and that another black man who was shot by police had actually
reached into his car for a concealed gun when he was warned that he was
being arrested.
And then, beneath the deafening screech of
activists wailing 'Black Lives Matter,' there were the softer voices of
level headed reporters pointing out that given the levels of black - on -
black homicide and violence occurring daily on the streets of American
and increasingly the streets of European cities one could easily take
away the impression that the only black lives which matter are those of
criminals being brought to account under the laws of societies with a
white majority.
Is it still the case then that failing to
support anti - racist organisations amounts to supporting racism? If so,
then the woke
activists who have ranted and raged about white privilege, white
supremacism and white fragility should be charged with hate crime,
because thanks to their divisive and provocative behaviour racist
attacks have
spiked horribly in the US in recent weeks and they have uttered not a
word about it. Here are some examples:
In New York City, scene of some particularly nasty racially motivated
assaults, on 11 March, a 67-year-old woman was viciously
assaulted for no reason other than that her attacker hated her race. She was punched in the face 125 times,
had her head stomped on seven times, was spat on, and was subjected to
racist epithets. It was so severe that the suspect has been charged with
attempted murder.
At the start of April 2022, a young man in Brooklyn was attacked by a gang, again because of his race. He was kicked repeatedly
and subjected to insults. One anti-racist organisation said it was ‘shocked by the viciousness’ of this act of racist violence.
You haven’t heard about these attacks? Your social-media feed hasn’t
overflowed with comments posted by University Brainwashed wokesters
expressing sympathy for the victims or anger and outrage at the racial
element in the attacks? You haven’t seen professional sports teams and
athletes
take the knee for the victims?
Well, that might have something
to do
with who the victims were. The 67-year-old woman punched in the face 125
times is Chinese-American. ‘Asian bitch’, her racist assaulter said as
he spat and stomped on her. The young man brutalised in Brooklyn is
Jewish, Hasidic Jew, to be precise. These are not minorities who enjoy
anointed victim status in woke ideology. They place very low
indeed in the hierarchy of racial victimhood constructed by the woke
elites.
Jews, we are informed, enjoy ‘white privilege’. They’re
hyper-white, according to some accounts, so how can they be sympathetic
victims of racial hatred? As for Asians, they enjoy ‘honorary whiteness’, apparently. We frequently hear about ‘the whitening of Asian Americans’.
In short, they’re integrated into mainstream society, and thus not as
deserving of support as other, apparently more oppressed groups.
Likewise African Americans who are educated and have entered the
professional and managerial classes. They are dismissed as traitors to
the cause. Top of the victimhood ladder in the estimation of the woke
elite are black criminals, drug dealers and users, members of street
gangs and general arseholes.
Then there’s the question of who was responsible for the violent
assaults mentioned above and many others because, for purposes of
clarity I have not mentioned any attacks on people whose genetics are
predominantly European.
The suspect in the Asian woman attack is a black man
named Tammel Esco.
He has a long record of violent, drug related crime and has now been charged with attempted
murder as a hate crime.
The gang that attacked the Jewish in
Brooklyn was largely made up of black youths. This is not a rare
occurrence. Tragically, young blacks attacking visibly Jewish people has
become increasingly common in New York in recent years. But in woke
ideology this is not racism blacks outrank Jews in the hierarchy of
victimhood.
The woke Social Justice Warriors, stuck in their
inflexible narratives of privilege and oppression, the idea of black -
on - white or black - on - brown racism does not compute. So
they ignore these attacks. They remain silent – or, as they might once
have put it, violent.
The failure of these cases to stir up even a ripple of
outrage among the
virtue-signallers of social media is an indication of how toxic the
left's identity
politics has become. Anti-Jewish and anti-Asian violence is a very
serious problem in parts of the US, yet it rarely registers on the
outrageometer of the woke set whereas even moderate criticism of an
African American drug addicted criminal will result in the critic being
cancelled, losing their career and becoming a social outcast.
When
racist
violence committed by black people or people of colour or whatever we
are required to call them this week is treated as just the background
noise of city life, a mundane
everyday activity not worth commenting on, you know we have a profound
problem of racism denial.
Is it any wonder though that this
hidden racism is a growing problem not only in American but in UK,
Germany, France, Netherlands and other nations with significant ethnic
minority populations, when the slience of those who interpret even
trivial incidents of bad manners are interpreted as a serious case of
racism if the perpetratoris white and the target black or Hispanic. This
lop sided attitude appears to give the stamp of approval to black and
Hispanic thugs to commit racist acts against white people or minority
members who have assimilated into the prevailing culture.
White Privilege Now Inculdes The Privilege Of Being Fired For being White
Its should be obvious by now that the politically correct left, insaniac sociopaths that they are, have only one emotion at their disposal; hate. Bizarrely the hatered of these predominantly white, middle class people, while of themselves, is mostly racist in nature but directed at members of their own race.

War Is A Racket. Like most truisms nobody really knows who said it first but veteran US political maverick Ron Paul is being credited for resurrecting the phrase is one of his blistering denunciations of the current kerfuffle in Ukraine.
Every war is a huge opportunity for the corporate businesses collectively known as the Military - Industrial Complex to make obscenely bloated profits from us long - suffering taxpayers as they first supply the weapons and explosives to destroy a nation and then the building materials and construction equipment needed to rebuild it.The war on Ukraine is no different, the USA and its NATO allies could end the conflict tomorrow by halting the supply of arms and ammo to Ukraine and demanding that Russia ceases hostilities pending a United Nations moderated peace deal, but the war is such a great a money-making racket for weapons
manufacturers in the USA, UK and European Union and for politicians such a good way of diverting public attention from the mess they have made of the global economy, energy policy, food supplies, management of the 'pandemc' crisis and the obvious hoax that is climate change, nobody wants it to end. The elites are perfectly happy to keep allowing
Ukrainian soldiers to die on the battlefield as long as more weapons
contracts are funded by the governments of the world and public attention is focused on the war rather than the plethora of cock - ups that would otherwise be top of the news.
Raytheon and Lockheed Martin seem to be more than willing to keep
pocketing profits, down to the last remaining Ukrainian soldier, even if
the weapons being shipped to Ukraine and largely destroyed by Russia’s
interdiction efforts. Racal electronics and Rolls Royce will keep supplying military technology for as long as someone is willing to pay. It's easy money.
Russia has abandoned its assault with tanks and infantry and is now focusing missile strikes on Ukraine’s
railroad infrastructure in order to disrupt deliveries of weapons and ammo from
western nations. This is actually smart because Ukraine’s railroads use a “wide gauge”
rail width which is incompatible with most other European nations
(Ukraine’s rail system was built by the former Soviet Union and uses the
5 ft width, which is common across the former Soviet republics).
Importantly, this means that NATO cannot simply replace Ukraine’s locomotives and rolling stock because the wheel widths are incompatible.
This is why alt_media and even some mainstream media sites whose readers have had enough of the usual stream of Russophobic propaganda are reporting Ukraine troops are
running out of ammo and other supplies, desperate for air cover which
isn’t coming any time soon because supplying the neo - Nazi nutters in Kiev with military aircraft would be seen as an act of war against Russia by the nation that supplied them. And nobody wants to face the consequences.
Russia’s decisive victory in Ukraine is all but assured (in spite of daily mainstream media reports that Ukraine is winning,), and shipments of more artillery, tanks and drones from
western nations won’t make a dent in the real situation on the ground.
Besides, Ukraine is running out of soldiers too, while the clown Zelinsky claims billions of Russian soldiers have lost their lives while only a handful of Ukrainian troops have died, independent western reporters embedded in Ukraine say that while Russian losses have been heavy, Ukrainian casualties are far higher .
No
doubt Zelensky is close to surrendering, but the Biden regime, supported by UK, France and the United Nations is trying
to prevent that from happening in order to try to make sure Ukraine’s
bioweapons laboratories (and all their records) don’t fall into the
hands of Putin.
Of course, the delusional woketards in the USA still think Russia is
losing and their forces are in full retreat. Imagine their surprise when the entire map of
Ukraine gets redrawn soon, as the country is partitioned with a new, Russian speaking nation being created east of the Dneiper and a land corridor from Russian teritory to Crimes taking away most of Ukraine's southern coast. That’s going to be a wake-up call for the war worshippers who are hysterically calling on their governments to give Ukraine the weapons they need to escalate the war.

In a 2014 article
titled ‘Why the Ukraine Crisis Is the West’s Fault’, written after the US /NATO / EU coup which ousted Ukraine's admittedly corrupt but democratically elected government and Russia's subsequent annexation of Crimea, Professor John Mearsheimer argued that the
U.S. should “publicly rule out” NATO membership for Ukraine, and work towards making the country an economically prosperous, “neutral buffer” between
Russia and NATO. Now he claims that had the US State Department and the leaders of iother NATO powers heeded his warning the conflict now engulfing Ukrain and threatening to escalate into a US versus Russia bust up could have been avoided.
Instead of heeding Mearsheimer’s warning however, the U.S. State Department and The Pentagon stepped up its its policy of ignoring
Russia’s concerns and provoking confrontation with Moscow. NATO troops began military exercises in
Ukraine in September of 2014. By June 2020, NATO had accepted Ukraine as an “Enhanced Opportunities Partner”.
And as late as November of 2021, with Russia already warning that there would be retaliation if the USA and its allies continued to encourage Ukrainian persecution of Russian - speaking minorities in their country by ratifying a “Charter on
Strategic Partnership” with the far - right government in Kiev that had been put into power by the 2014 coup. That charter declared that the U.S. “supports Ukraine’s
right to decide its own future foreign policy course free from outside
interference, including with respect to Ukraine’s aspirations to join
NATO”.
What we take away from the quoted passage is that the USA and its NATO allies care about the principle of national sovereignty.
Ukraine’s post-Maidan government aspired to join NATO, and Russia
shouldn’t get a veto over this, the charter implies. Whether Ukraine eventually joins NATO is
a matter for Ukraine and NATO, not for Moscow.
It's a pity the USA and its allies did not show so much concern for Ukraine's right to determine its own furture when the democratically elected goverenment per 2014 decided Ukraine's interests were best served by establishing closer ties with Moscow and turning away from NATO, the EU and the west.
The US government reiterated its claimed concern for the right of nations to determine their own course: America’s supposed concerns about the principle of
national sovereignty were outlined even more clearly in a speech Biden
gave on 15th February, shortly before Russia’s invasion. He declared:
Nations have a right to
sovereignty and territorial integrity. They have the freedom to set
their own course and choose with whom they will associate.
Sounds pretty reasonable, doesn’t it? But there’s a more cynical reason
why the U.S. chose to antagonize Russia, with the
aim of “overextending and unbalancing” the Russian economy and armed
forces.
The only problem with this overarching regard for preserving the sovereignty of smaller nations is the way in which the U.S.A. flagrantly ignores
this principle when the sovereign rights of a smaller nation such as Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq or going back even further Vietnam, become an obstruction to the USA's geopolitical ambitions. The most recent example the the reaction of Washington to the new security agreement between China and the Solomon
Islands. Here’s what the White House had to say:
If steps are taken to establish a
de facto permanent military presence or a
military installation, the delegation noted that the United States
would then have significant concerns and respond accordingly.
In other words, the U.S. objects to China building military bases
close to its ally, Australia, and if China does so, the U.S. will
“respond accordingly” ragarless of the Solomon Islands' sovereign right to associate with whatever allies it wishes to.. Now, the US probably wouldn’t invade the
Solomon Islands to prevent China building a military base there because they are aware of China's milirary capability (just as they have not directly intervened in Ukrain because that would invite retribution from Russia,), but it
might decide to impose crushing sanctions or freeze Solomon Islands' assets held in western banks, with the aim of destroying the Solomon
Islands’ economy.
Such sanctions would constitute a blatant violation of the
Solomon Islands’ sovereign right to “set their own course and choose with whom
they will associate”.
There are a few reasonable, and reasonably honest and consistent positions individuals, be they national leaders or ordinary punters like you, dear reader, and me can take in response to this situation.
1 One can be a pacifist and oppose all uses of force. But as Orwell
noted: “Those who ‘abjure’ violence can only do so because others are
committing violence on their behalf .” It would also require us to beble to resist the emotional blackmail of the propaganda campaign mounted by mainstream media to cast Russia as the evil bully unfairly oppressing helpless little Ukraine.
2 One can take the view that the use of force by states is merely a
routine tool of foreign policy that is to be judged in each case on its
merits. This would mean that after showing restraint in the face of almost daily provocations by Ukraine since 2014, Russia's response was to some extent justified even if we think it was excessive.
3 One can view the use of force as a last resort that should be
regarded as unacceptable except in the case of extreme need, to be
collectively approved in every case, or treated as illegal.
The UN order was largely during the placed on hold during the Cold War, because
the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction took precedence in all major decisions. But with the collapse of
the Soviet Union, and the emergence of the unipolar US dominance in the
1990s, there was a chance for it to be established. All that was
required was for the sole hyperpower to show that it would agree to be
bound by it.
Sadly, the U N was revealed to be the tool of a shadowy cabal of corporate and political players led by the neocons and liberal
interventionists, and inent on establishing global government. US foreign policy was driven by those who declared “we
don’t need your stinking rules based order, we make the rules”, and who took the view that
such restrictions should only apply to others. Hence we had Serbia,
Iraq, Libya, Syria.
What we are left with after all the virtue signalling and wishful thinking are filtered out is that Russia’s war is reasonably justifiable (although high
risk), based on Russia’s need to secure its southern border against the long term
encroachment of a demonstrably militarily aggressive and ideologically
universalist military alliance.
Russia is justified in claiming it has tried every
alternative, and been contemptuously rebuffed by a US sphere that
thought Russia had no choice but to lie back and accept the NATO military boot stamping down on its face forever (to borrow a phrase from Orwell. Realists (and I admit to being one of them, thought Russia would not invade because it would lose in
the long run, as a result of the costs of war, resistance and
sanctions. Russophobes and Globalist hoped Russia would
invade, because they thought that the U.S.A. and NATO would pile in on the side of Ukraine, defeat Russia and the global corporations that make up the Military Industrial Complex would get their hands on Russia's vast reserves of natural resources.
But Russia clearly made different calculations. Mostly in the
economic sphere, where they obviously knew that the consequences would
be economic warfare by the US sphere, which they have been forewarned of
and had plenty of time to prepare for.
So far, on balance things look favourable for the Russians. In the pure
military sphere, they can’t really lose, it’s just a matter of how long
it takes to grind down the Ukrainian resistance which would have collapsed already were it not propped up by the supply of western high tech weaponry. In the far more
important political and economic areas, it appears Russian support for
the war is reasonably solid, there’s no chance of real dissent (helped
by the rabid Russophobia displayed in the US sphere, and the destruction
by sanctions of the major political centres of resistance to the
regime’s power), and economically, with the help of allies like Iran, North Korea, Syria, Serbia and Turkey and two of the handful of nations too big to be bullied by Washington, China and India, they seem better equipped to weather the
consequences of economic war than Europe.
Blame for the war rests on those who needlessly provoked it. The US
sphere for pushing NATO membership gratuitously eastwards, imposing a rational limitation on NATO (the North ATLANTIC Treaty Organisation to those nations that actually have a coastline on the Atlantic ocean. The
neo - Nazi fanatics in the Ukraine who are simply not prepared to live
in peace with the Russians within their borders were
empowered by the belief that they had NATO and EU backing and once Ukraine was accepted as a NATO member would be able to proke an attack by Russia that would trigger a military response from the full NATO membership and wipe out the hated enemy.
As so often, the pursuit of maximalist goals ends in disaster.
It has been pointed out that if a federal structure had been adopted
for the post-Soviet construct that was the modern Ukrainian state, it
might have survived. Too late now it seems, Ukraine is heading for partition.

The number of Afrcan Americans murdered in 2020 soared by 32 percent in the year after the killing and subsequent canonisation of St. George Floyd. One criminologist blamed BLM protests for the huge spike by scaring-off cops with their hate - mob tactics the law officers were scared to act against black criminals. Ironically most of the murders of black Americans were committed by other black Americans.
It is bizarre but not entirely surprising to anyone who has researched the origins and political agenda of the Black Lives Matter movement that BLM leaders have nothing to say about this. Clearly as far as the anti - white racists take the view that Blak Lives only matter when they are the lives of criminals trying to play the race card to avoid facing the legal consequences of their activities.
Killings
across the whole of society swelled by 30 percent between 2019 and
2020, the largest increase since 1905, but blacks bore the greatest impact of that deadly trend, according to the FBI's Uniform Crime report.
In
2020, 9,941 African Americans met their death at the hand of another
human being, compared to 7,484 the year before, an increase of 2,457
murders.
Murders of white people jumped 21 percent from 2019 to 2020, from 5,787 to 7,043.
Sociologist Hannah Meyer, of the Manhattan Institute, says widespread
'defund the police messaging' further incited violence and criminality and affected the murder rate among
black people.
She believes that the
widespread 'woke' ideology, which demonizes law enforcement and deifies minorities - combined with cuts in funding to many inner city police
departments - prompted cops to withdraw from policing areas with high
crime, thus allowing black activists to establish no - go zones for police and emergency services.
Meyer
also said that the Biden administration was wrong to place blame for the crime wave on the COVID pandemic and attributed it directly to the crime wave that followed Floyd's death at the hands of his arresting officers.
In 2020, the year lockdowns and curtailment of civil liberties began, due to the hoax pandemic, 7,043
white people were murdered, but black deaths still outpaced white deaths
by nearly 3000 that year.
With whites making up 76 percent of the U.S. population, according to the U.S.
Census bureau, compared to the 13 percent black population, the trend is
even more troubling, thought the greatest percentage increases occurreed in sparsely rural areas and were more likely to be the result of domestic conflict, Pennsylvania,
Illinois, Ohio and California murder rates all jumped at least 36
percent between 2019 and 2020. New York homicides jumped 47 percent with Chicago showing a similar spike. And these increases were from a much higher base figure. Despite the lower percentage rates of increase, the big cities saw far more lives lost to violent crime. We should not forget the most basic trick of propagandists: ten per cent of 1000 is 100, fifty percent of 100 is 50.

Canadian University Holds ‘White Privilege’ Conference In an event that marks the latest step in Canada's descent into collective insanity, Ryerson University held the nation's first “white privilege” conference this month.
