Turkish Jets Bomb PKK Targets In Kurdistan

We told you all along there was a bigger agenda behind the war in Syria than the western media was ever going to report.

As Russia's pounding of the Sunni Muslim extremists Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria intensifies, a new front is being opened up in what is possibly a bid to surround Assad and his Russian allies close to Syria's Mediterranean coast. Turkey and the Kurds have long been at loggerheads of course, but it is the Kurdish irregulars who have been the most effective force in opposing IS on the ground. And ISIS pose as big a potential threat to Turkey as they do to Syria, unless as his critics claim, Turkey's President Edrogan is a follow traveller of IS and covertly supports the recreation of the Islamic Caliphate.

We are learning from the news feeds that Turkish warplanes launched airstrikes in Northern Iraq on Friday night, destroying shelters and supply points of the Kurdistan Workers Party (Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê - PKK).

Confirming the reports, a military statement on Saturday said the overnight airstrikes targeted the Qandil mountains where the PKK's leadership is based.

The military did not give further details but the state-run Anatolia news agency said the operation involved 22 fighter jets and that 23 targets were hit.

Turkey has been striking PKK targets in northern Iraq and southeast Turkey since July.

A two-year cease-fire and peace talks between the Turkish state and the PKK lie in tatters after the Turkish government stepped up violent repression against the Kurds, an ethinic group spread across Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran, that has for many years claimed the right to nationhood. Indeed under saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq, a semi - autonomous Kurdish state was created.

The Iraqi Kurds, who run the semi-autonomous region in the north of the country under the Kurdish Regional Government, have also come under attack from the Islamic State guerillas.

In fact, we have published here a lot of evidence to suggest that Ankara was cooperating with the group by ensuring funds through illegal oil trades and acting as a conduit for US supplied weapons. Russia Launches Cruise Missiles Against ISIS Targets

The Russian campaign against Islamic extremist guerilla groups operating in Syria to overthrow the regime of President Assad has been pursued with ruthless efficiency from the start.

From the moment a Russian general strolled into the US embassy in Baghdad on September 30 and the most senior person on duty that "airstrikes in Syria start in 1 hour, stay out of the way", Moscow has bombed Islamic State targets every day and night, its fleet of Su-34s, Su-25s and Su-24Ms wreaking havoc on anything that even looks like a rebel.

U S President Barack Hussein Obama, world class whiner, girlie - man and 'Chicago Bath House Blow Ho' tried to belittle Vladimir Putin's initiative by complainging that the Russians were bombing 'moderate rebels fighting against Assad', thus admitting that Uncle Sam's priority throughout its limp wristed campaign had been to see Syria's leader deposed (to the great benefit of Obama's Sunni Muslim allies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar) and the ineffectual campaign against ISIS was just for show. Republican US Senate member further blew the gall by demanding in congress that US Air Force pilots 'shoot down Russian planes that are attacking people we have trained and equipped."

Ruthless as the Russian air campaign has been, it has not been without cost. The downing of a Russian airliner filled with holiday makers over the Sinai Peninsula by Islamic State’s Egyptian affiliate showed what kind of enemy the west and Russia along with China and its other allies are up against. Safe behind its closed border, the Kremlin has now sent in the strategic bombers. Euripe and the USA cannot contemplate such actions due to the idiotic, 'open borders' immigration policies of our politically correct leaders. As well as the guerilla army on the ground in Syria and Iraq, Islamic States terrorists have infiltrated our countries and are now at large in the streets of our cities.

In addition to the deployment of its strategic bomber fleet in Syria, which Moscow says will allow Russia to double the number of strikes it can launch, The Kremlin has also begun launching sea-based cruise missle attacks from the Caspian fleet, which is fine against IS bases in the Syrian and Iraqi desert but, like Britain's costly, Trident nuclear submarine fleet, is eff all use against a suicide bomber in a crowded city street.

Russia Today reports, "the Russian military has launched cruise missiles against Islamic State positions in Syria from both the Mediterranean and Caspian seas, one of which killed over 600 terrorists in the Deir Ex-Zor Province, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has said. On November 20, the warships of the Caspian Fleet launched 18 cruise missiles at seven targets in the provinces of Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo. All targets were hit successfully,” he reported to President Vladimir Putin.

Overall, there are 10 Russian warships taking part in the operation, six of which are in the Mediterranean.

Over the past four days, Russian air forces have conducted 522 sorties, deploying more than 100 cruise missiles and 1,400 tons of bombs of various types, the minister stated. He added that a strike on a target in Deir ez-Zor utilizing multiple cruise missiles had killed armore than 600 militants.

Note that Paris attack mastermind Abdelhamid Abaaoud was Emir of War in Deir ez-Zor.

It looks as if Obama's efforts and whatever aid is offered by Brirain eventually will be too little to late. The west should concentrate on securing its borders while rounding up illegal immigrantts and deporting them and leave the real campaign agains ISIS to a nation that (for its own ends to be sure) wants to defeat Islamic extremism rather than pursuing the dishonest agenda of supporting 'moderate anti - Assad rebels'.
