Cuba Next On Trump's Hit List

According to White House sources, President Donald Trump reportedly has Cuba in his sights as a new target within a broader strategy aimed at regime change.

A report in Atlantic magazine suggests that discussions within the White House are not only focused on Iran and Venezuela but also include Havana as part of a geopolitical push to reshape the power dynamics in the Western Hemisphere.

Washington insiders whisper that Trump feels he is "on a roll" following recent (and it must be sid, not spectacularly successful,) international maneuvers, bolstering his determination to seek new challenges.

The Atlantic describes conversations among Trump's close circles where there's consideration of increasing pressure on the Cuban regime.

Publicly, Trump has floated the idea of a "friendly takeover" of the island, repeatedly highlighting the severe economic hardships faced by the country.

 Cuba's decline, which began in 1959 when the revolution led by Fidel Castro succeeded in replacing the corrupt regime with an equally corrupt but far less competent communist dictatorship, and fall, which has been a slow motion train wreck that started immediately ater Castro's takeover, is accelerating due to the sanctions, embargoes, lack of income and insufficient aid from its allies Russia and China. 

The writing was on the wall for the communists in Havana since the collapse of the Soviet Union. I'd speculate that a US backed coup is not too far away, this will establish a militarily controlled government to stabilise the country. Cuba will probably end up with a fake puppet democracy controlled by Washington. 

US business interests will then move in. Trump is not about freedom and democracy, hence Venezuela still has the same party in power. However, Trump's bid to disrupt the world order has denied China a main source of oil. He controls where Venezuela's oil goes. And let's be honest, anything that impedes China's bid to usurp all western manufacturing industry benefits all of us in the liberal democracies and offers at least some respite from our political elites' attempts to commit national suicide on behalf of the nations they rule. If in Trump' masterplan Europe is to be written off as collateral damage, then it is up to we Europeans to do something about it.

Cuba's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Gulf of Mexico is estimated to hold between 4.6 billion and 20 billion barrels of untapped, undiscovered crude oil. The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the most likely volume of technically recoverable undiscovered crude in the North Cuba Basin is 4.6 billion barrels. Deep-sea marine drilling requires vast capital and highly specialised deepwater platforms, which Cuba’s state oil company (CUPET) cannot fund on its own.

A tempting opportunity for The Donald to step in with US money and technical expertise.

It should also be noted that about 25% of Cuba's population has fled to the USA, Canada, Europe and South American nations  over the past 5 years, largely as a result of the regime's human rights abuses. Yet the snivelling gobshites at the United Nations elect the Cuban regime to the international panel which oversees human rights. If it is to fix the problem the Cuban state must remove the dictators, and let the people return and rebuild the relitavely prosperous nation it had been from the 1930s to 50s and work towards a democratic future freed from the authoritarian and delusional communists who now only cling to power so they can continue to exploit the country for their personal benefit. And it appears those who seek fredom can expect no help from the globalists of Britain and the EU.

 Cuba is what communism always becomes, and it is hard for our socialists to let go, as the old saying goes 'in a democracy we can vote out failed leaders but socialism can only be removed with blood on the streets. But the time has come for Cubans, wherever they go, are successful, there is no reason to believe they won't be successful in Cuba after a regime change frees them from the brutal oppression of communism.

The Donroe Doctrine - Trump Aims To Disrupt The World Order Before China Does It

Since Donald Trump ordered  America’s much anticipated attack on Venezuela last weekend, mainsteam media has given the unfolding situation blanket coverage and just about every political and economic colunist has offered their attempt at  revealing Trump’s real intentions. It’s all about securing the oil, stopping the drugs, defeating China, Russia and Iran, or re-establishing ‘hemispheric dominance’. The truth, of course, is that it’s about all of that and more.

‘Narco-terrorism’ is the official justification, a reference to US strikes on boats allegedly running illegal drugs between Venezuela and the USA. ‘We have a drug caliphate in our backyard,’ opibed a Republican US senator standing next to an approving Trump on Sunday. But it’s no secret that the US also wants to extract trillions of dollars’ worth of Venezuelan crude – the President said as much in his first press conference on the matter on Saturday.

A  less obvious factor in Operation Absolute Resolve is immigration.  And then there is the Trump administration’s determination to Make America Great Again and put bring the rest of the world to heel. The Donroe Doctrine – officially the Trump Corollary to the 19th-century Monroe Doctrine – is about asserting US dominance in Latin America, by force if necessary. That is about the movement of people as much as resources, weaponry or drugs.

Washington’s real goal is probably to make Venezuela once again a safe investment for private US capital. That's my take anyway although I have no communcations channel into White House thinking than anyone else. If the new acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, refuses, then Trump has made it clear Venezuela will be kept as an economic basket-case, through continuing sanctions and a US naval blockade, until Wahington can install a puppet who will do its bidding.

Venezuela’s crime for which it has been punished for decades is trying to offer a different economic and social model to America’s rampant, planet-destroying, neoliberal capitalism. Unfortunately Venezuela has made itself a client state of China and that nation's rampant, planet destroying communism.

The deepest fear of the West’s political and media class is that western publics, subjected to permanent austerity as billionaires grow ever richer off the back of ordinary people’s immiseration, may rise up if they see a different system that looks after its citizens rather than its wealth elite.

Unfortunately for Venezuelans that althernative, offered by Hugo Chavez and his successor Nicolas Maduro, was socialism, which is always doomed to fail in ways even more destructive than rampant capitalism. Again the world failed to heed Schumpeter's warning: Capitalism always contains the seeds of its own destruction, socialism always leads to fascism. Josef Schumpeter was an Austrian economist and a supporter of social democracy, which in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Germany successfully blended a capitalist business environment with state supported healthcare, age care and unemployment insurance. It worked until the virtue signallers took over and uncontrolled immigration skewed the balance of society.

Venezuela, with its huge oil reserves, had it not been long strangled by US-imposed sanctions could have worked as a social democracy, at least until the oil ran out, . A quarter of a century ago, Maduro’s predecessor, Hugo Chavez, launched a socialist-style “Bolivarian revolution” of popular democracy, economic independence, equitable distribution of revenues, and like Simon  Bolvar's idealistic attemts at nation building, as set out in the Jamaica Letter. ended in economic chaos,  political corruption and impoverishment of citizens. 

By taking the country’s natural resources – its oil and metal ores – out of the hands of a tiny domestic elite that had ruled the country in their own interests, plundering the national wealth and nationalising major industries, from oil and steel to electricity he handed control of the national economy to bureaucrats who, their inflated salaries and limitless expense accounts, had no incentive to do well.

When an upriing ousted Chavez, the hardline communist Maduro stepped into the political void. US paranoia about communism caused the Bush adminstration to tighten the squeeze on Venezuela and as social conditions worsened, Maduro's regime became more authoritarian and more closely involved with the drug cartels flooding the USA will illegal substances. However none of this could be said of Greenland, which Trump has said the USA will either annexe or buy, so possibly there is a wider agenda unfolding here.

One thing is certin, whether you love or hate Donny, with his castigation of Europe's weak leaders and recent withdrawals from the United Nations IPCC climate change scam and World Health Organisation, he is successfully stirring things up.

Trump Declares Total Blockade’ of ‘Sanctioned Oil Tankers’ Out of Venezuela as White House Staffer Suggests Regime Change in Venezuela Is Real Goal

President Trump today posted on Truth Social  a declaration of a “total and complete blockade” of all oil tankers going into or out of Venezuela. While the official justifacation for this is the prevention of trafficking illegal drugs such as cocaine and fentanyl to the USA mny believe his  aggressive action against the country with the aim of ousting President Nicolas Maduro.

“Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America. It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before,” Trump wrote in his post, which came less than a week after US forces boarded and seized a tanker off the coast of Venezuela as Trump imposed sanctions on the socialist nation.

The president said the blockade, an action that’s generally considered an act of war under international law, would continue until Venezuela “returns” its own oil and land to the US, underscoring that Venezuela’s vast oil reserves, the largest in the world, are a primary motive in Trump’s effort at regime change.

“Until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us,” Trump, who has no qualms about voicing his opinion of other leaders, wrote in an apoparent reference to the nationalization of oil projects under Hugo Chavez, Maduro’s predecessor, who mandated that foreign-run projects to be converted into joint ventures in which Venezuela’s state oil company, PDVSA, held a majority stake.

Some Western oil companies accepted Chavez’s diktat, including the US firm Chevron, which continues to operate in Venezuela today, while others rejected the deal — most notably ExxonMobil — exited the country, and sued the Venezuelan government in international arbitration over the expropriations. But the oil remains the property of the Venezuelan state, and it’s unclear what Trump means when he claims Venezuelan “land” was stolen from the US.

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has suggested that the goal of the US bombing campaign against alleged drug boats in the waters of Latin America is to oust of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, according to a two-part report published by Vanity Fair on Tuesday.

Wiles discussed President Trump’s Venezuela strategy in an interview with Vanity Fair reporter Chris Whipple on November 2, 2025. “He wants to keep on blowing boats up until Maduro cries uncle. And people way smarter than me on that say that he will,” she said.

While Trump and his top officials make no secret of their desire for regime change in Venezuela, they have from the ouitset presented the bombing campaign against boats as an effort to stop drug shipments to the US.

The US began the bombing campaign by targeting small boats in the Caribbean near Venezuela. President Trump claimed the vessels were carrying fentanyl, but the synthetic opioid isn’t produced in Venezuela and doesn’t transit through the country on its way to the US. Contrary to Trump’s comments, Pentagon officials told Congress that the boats were allegedly carrying cocaine, and US officials speaking to the media said the vessels weren’t capable of reaching the US. If true this does not riule out the possility of their transferring illegal shipments to another craft while outside territorial waters.

5million Sign Venezuela Petition Against US Interference

Nicholas Maduro rallies support for his effort to organise resistance to american bullying of small nations.

Over five million people in Venezuela have signed a petition demanding that US president Barack Hussein Obama repeals his executive order that declared the South American republic a security threat. Even people familiar with the Bizarro World inhabited by the rent boy President and his followers were hard pressed to justify this particular piece of lunacy.

Jorge Rodriguez, Mayor of VeneZuelan capital city Caracas and organisor of the petition told Venezolana de Television, “We have collected more than 5 million signatures and we want to call on the Venezuelan people to keep on going to reach 10 million,”.

Government offices and buildings opened their doors to the public in a bid to collect signatures against Washington’s foreign policy in South America which is hitting Venezuela hard.

“Our intention is to deliver the collected signatures to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, as clear evidence that the people of Venezuela reject the crude interference in our internal affairs,” Rodriguez told European media.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro set the goal of collecting at least 10 million signatures – about a third of the country’s total population – ahead of the Summit of the Americas to be held in Panama from April 10 to 11. Maduro also called on people to continue their support.

“Let us continue supporting the fatherland. Signatures are being collected at public squares and door-to-door. We have reached 5 million and we will collect 10 million,” Maduro said on Twitter.

In March 2015, Obama (God - King of the American Empire) issued an executive order imposing sanctions against Venezuela and declared the country an “unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security,” alleging human rights violations and “public corruption” to justify his imperious act. Barck Obama is a megalomaniacal narcissist and so would see no irony in the USA accusing other nations of human rights violations.

In response to Obama's hostile politicking, Venezuelan lawmakers granted Maduro a right to rule by decree till the end of the year to defend the country’s integrity and sovereignty against “imperialist threats” from the US government.

Maduro’s crusade against US interference in his country’s affairs has received wide support across the Latin American region. The president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, joined the campaign launched by the Venezuelan government and signed a petition which said that “Venezuela is not a threat.”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has accused forces in the United States, Colombia, and Spain of waging an international “psychological war campaign” against his country, Press TV reports.

Barack Obama is behind a psychological war campaign to justify a coup in Venezuela said Maduro (who is not known for emotional restraint in his speeches) as he presented the results of the CELAC meeting in Costa Rica and elaborated on one of the grandest conspiracy theories yet proposed by his government.

Speaking on national cadena, Maduro claimed that his government is facing a broad national and international campaign with the aim of justifying a possible coup d’état in Venezuela.

“I denounce a campaign in the field of psychological warfare, to justify a coup d’état, against Venezuela, supported by the imperial factors of power of the United States. It is not by chance that the international right has done what it has done in the last weeks,” claimed the president.

"President Obama," said Maduro, "your whole government is conspiring in order to overthrow the legitimate government of Venezuela. I appeal to you and to your consciousness. You well know that all the agencies of your government are involved [metidos] in a plan to fill Venezuela with violence, in order to justify a coup d’état and to promote, starting from an escalation of violence, an intervention in Venezuela. Do you know this?"

(Why wouldn't Obama know it his government has already imposed regime change in Ukraine, overthrown a government but failed to replace it with anything stable in Libya and utterly failed to depose a tyrant in Syria. And now the American congress are debating plans for regime change in Russia.)

Maduro said the combined effort follows recent “aggression” from the US and aims to generate fear and panic among the Venezuelan people, China’s official state news agency, Xinhua, reported on Wednesday.

"They want to promote rumors to make the people forget about the imperial attacks against our homeland and once again deepen the economic war by stimulating hoarding, shortages and smuggling of basic products," he said.

Earlier this week, reports said former Spanish leader Felipe Gonzalez, a lawyer by training, would represent a number of imprisoned members of the Venezuelan opposition.

This comes soon after US President Barack Obama imposed sanctions on Venezuelan officials for alleged human rights violations.

The World Rejects USA Attempt To Manipulate Venezuela

Last week, President Obama signed an executive order declaring a “special state of emergency,” saying that the situation in Venezuela represents an extraordinary danger to U.S. interests and foreign policy. He also imposed sanctions on seven Venezuelan officials, claiming that they were complicit in repressing Venezuelan civil society and freedom of the press.

It is all total bollocks of course, for resons that are not entirely clear, Washington has decided that Venezuela will be the next nation to be destabilised in pursuit of the U.S. global hegemony agenda.

We predicted such a move was imminent several months ago in an article titled Venezuela Deals Blow to Banksters, Global Fascists and New World Order. The reason it has taken so long to kick off is Obama's other regime change projects, Ukraine and Syria had stalled while Libya had descented into a chaotic and lawless failed state after the western intervention that overthrew Gaddafi.

Worldwide, and within the United States also, this set off an epidemic of head scratching, as people tried to figure out how internal developments in Venezuela somehow represent a danger for the United States. In Latin America, the reaction was more intense, as leaders and ordinary citizens recalled past instances in which U.S. interventions have led to “regime change” involving the deaths of thousands.

In the 19th century, the United States seized more than half of Mexico and all of Puerto Rico, plus the Guantanamo Bay area in Cuba. In the first half of the twentieth century, U.S. troops directly intervened in all of the countries of Central America, plus Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic and some South American countries. In these interventions peoples’ movements for democracy were crushed, dictators put in and propped up in power, and dissident leaders murdered, such as Augusto Cesar Sandino in Nicaragua and Charlemagne Peralte in Haiti.

The CIA-engineered overthrow of Guatemalan President Jacobo Arbenz in 1954, set off decades of civil war in which at least 200,000 people, mostly poor indigenous farmers, died. Multiple projects to destabilize Cuba began with the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, including the disastrous Bay of Pigs adventure.

In 1965 President Lyndon Johnson ordered the invasion of the Dominican Republic to prevent a dictator from being overthrown by pro-democracy forces. In 1973 the U.S., after having done everything possible to destabilize the Chilean economy, backed a military coup against Socialist Party President Salvador Allende which led to the death of at least 3,000 and the imprisonment or exile of tens of thousands.

We have learned via Reuters news feed that Venezuela’s National Assembly on Sunday (15 March) voted Sunday to grant President Nicholas Maduro powers to rule by decree in defense and security affairs amid an escalating confrontation with the US Government in Washington. The special powers were approved by a show of hands in the assembly after two hours of debate. They will be in effect for six months.



In our previous post and several other recent articles the escalating diplomatic conflict between the Venezuelan governmen that America's Obama administration has been reported and analyzed. We also speculated that Venezuela is corporate puppet Obama's latest target for destabilization. Whether the USA will go as far as it did in Ukraine and Syria by sponsoring, arming and training terrorist groups for the purpose of starting civil conflicts to overthrow established regimes, the legitimately elected, if corrupt, government of Ukraine and the oppressive but secular and stable dictatorship of Bashar Assad in Syria. Both interventions have been spectacular failures and led to bloody civil war that have cost thousands of innocent lives.

Reuters reported that Maduro said in a speech to the National Asembly "I'm going to ask for an anti-imperialist Enabling Law ... to preserve the nation's peace, integrity and sovereignty."

Opposition leaders attacked the President, saying he was using the crisis in relations with Washington to justify sideline parliament, distract attention from Venezuela's grave economic crisis and establish an autocratic regime.

"Nicolas, are you requesting the Enabling Law to make soap, nappies and medicines appear, to lower inflation?" opposition leader Henrique Capriles sneered, "It's another smokescreen."

Confirming Venezuela as Washington's No. 1 adversary in Latin America after a convenient resumations of diplomatic relations with Cuba, the United States, where foreign policy always demands a Bond - villain style adversary, has selected Maduro as their latest blofeld / Goldfinger / Hugo Drax / Scaramanga caricature enemy, qualifying the Venezuelan government a major security threat to the USA.

In terminology that has also been used for measures against nations like Iran and Syria, President Barack Obama's government declared a "national emergency" due to "the unusual and extraordinary threat" from Venezuela.

Despite the recent improvement in relations with Washington, communist Cuba was quick to join Venezuela's mockery of the U.S. language.

"Venezuela a threat to the United States? Thousands of miles away, without strategic arms and without using resources or officials to conspire against the U.S. constitutional order, the declaration is barely credible and reveals the real aims of those behind it," Cuba's government said in a statement.

Despite the diplomatic tensions, the United States is Venezuela's top trading partner and the OPEC member's crude sales even rose in February to 796,000 barrels per day.

In other words, the serially FUBAR foreign policy of the Obama administration has made the USA a laughing stock once more. Unfortunately what usually happens after that is US bombs start dropping on innocent civilians of the nations that refuse to bend the knee for America's President Petulant.

Venezuelan Social Movements Take to the Streets to Oppose U.S. Aggression

During his first Presidential election campaign in 2008, Barack Hussein Obama was sold as the great conciliator, the peacemaker and joybringer who would unite the world and lead it to an era of peace and prosperity. Some of us did a little digging into Obama's background and found he didn't have one. he was a creation of the Corporate Cartel.

Enough Americans bought into the PR narrative however to ensure that when their votes were combined with the ethnic minorities and those white Americans who were too scared of being thought racist to oppose a black candidate, to get the man many of us warned would be the ultimate divisive figure, elected. And so the USA, the world's more powerful nation according to media commentators, was saddled with a warmonger and bully on the international stage, a partisan promoter of racial and religious tension in domestic policy, and a corporate lackey through and through, as their President.

And all the predictions made by bloggers and commentators such as myself and many others in alternative media and a few writers in mainstream media came true. Middle eastern nations were engulfed by civil conflict as Obama sponsored and equipped terrorists freedom fighters to overthrow democratically elected governments or replace stable, secular dictatorships with insane fundamentalist theorcracies, by constant provocation that eventually brought a response, he brought us to the brink of war between the west and the Russian - Chinese alliance.

And now, with the security situation more dangerous that any time in the past fifty years, the peacemaker and joybringer, Barack Hussein Obama, The Obamessiah, is looking to start yet another civil war and plunge another nation into failed statehood. This time, as we reported a few days ago, his target is Venezuela.

Earlier today we learned Venezuelan social movements had converged in Plaza Venezuela in the center of the capital on Thursday to manifest their firm rejection of the latest round of U.S. sanctions.

On Monday, President Obama issued an executive order sanctioning seven top officials of the Venezuelan government as well as declaring the Bolivarian nation an "unusual and extraordinary national security threat," a step that could pave the way for possible economic sanctions.

This latest move by the U.S. administration has been roundly condemned by a host of nations and regional bodies, including Cuba, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, UNASUR, CELAC, and most recently China and Russia.

Among the movements assembled in the center of Caracas on Thursday were various collectives such as the Pioneers Encampment, government-affiliated social missions such as the Great Housing Mission and Barrio Tricolor, as well as a plethora of people representing their neighborhood communal councils.

Chanting "Yankee go home" and "Venezuela respects itself", thousands of Venezuelans of all ages filled the streets with their characteristic red shirts, exhibiting national pride and indignation in response to the White House’s announcements.

"We are here to defend the motherland left to us by Chávez, Bolívar, Zamora, and all of our heroes and heroines, because we've also had many heroines, many barefooted women who defended this country. We're following in the same legacy as all of them," Lies Guzmán of the Socialist Environmental Workers' Front told Venezuelanalysis.

"We are steeled, knee to the ground, for anything that happens, with the women in the vanguard, prepared on all fronts, including the diplomatic, military, and guerrilla fronts if necessary."

In his executive order, President Obama expressed concern for alleged human rights violations in Venezuela. Sadly, as we well know, this hypocritical piece of smeg does not give flying fuck andout the human tights of Americans. Unless of course they are black or gay.
