Big Trouble Looms For Merkel As German Government Coalition Talks Collapse In Chaos

Following September's inconclusive election in Germany, the government has been paralyzed as Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrat Union and their traditional allies the Christian Social Union which only operates in Bravaria,  have been locked in negotiations with the classical liberal Free Democrats and the loony left Greens in an attempt to form a "Jamaica coalistion," a refrerence to the fact that the campaign colours of the three parties reflect the flag of Jamaica.

Senior CDU politician and current President of the Schleswig-Holstein provincial government, Daniel Günther tried to rally members of the party saying that a coalition deal between the CDU/CSU, the libertarian Free Democrats, and the Green Party must be agreed on soon as another election could be a disaster for the party.

Günther appealed to CDU negotiators to concede more to the left-wing Greens on asylum seeker issues or they may trigger a snap election which, he said, would fuel the continued rise of "extremism",  Der Spiegel reports.

When he refers to extremism Günther means the anti - immigration, Eurosceptic AfD (Alternative for Deutschland) party, which is actually not extreme in the way the Greens are extreme

A new election, “would be a signal of the incapacity of democratically elected parties and be a breeding ground for extremists”, Günther said, revealing his party fears another election would result in massive gains for the anti-mass migration party which in September’s election came from nowhere to be the third largest party in the Bundestag. Other right wing political groups in Germany have no significant support.

Much of the current dispute stems around asylum seekers. The Greens have insisted that failed asylum seekers from Afghanistan should not be deported because the country is too dangerous, while Merkel promised last year that she would seek to increase deportations of illigal immigrants and failed asylum seekers.

Despite the promise, very few asylum seekers have been deported and Horst Seehofer, head of the CDU’s sister party the Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU), said that large-scale deportations were "almost impossible".

Last month, CSU negotiator Alexander Dobrindt accused the Greens of deliberately attempting to stall the negotiations in the hope that Mrs. Merkel would be desperate enough to give in to all their extreme left wing demands. This of course would drive the Free Democrats to quit the coalition.

“The Greens provoke the failure of Jamaica. Anyone who presents their arguments completely without regard to the refugee crisis, the polarisation in our country, the resulting electoral successes of the AfD, and the tensions in Europe, seems to have no serious interest in forming a government,” he said. The Green's attitude is typical of a Marxisty party of course, ideology is all, the concerns of citizens are irrelevant.

The latest polling shows the CDU / CSU still with a comfortable lead and the AfD in third, but a collapse of the coalition talks could shake up the political landscape and some say it would be unlikely that Angela Merkel cold continue as leader of the party should a snap election be called.

Paradise Papers: Tycoon made $41m from 'people's fund'

One of the most shocking documents in the "Paradise Papers," which have leaked the secrets of the super rich to the world revealed an "entrepreneur" charged with managing the oil wealth of the African state of Angola, where most of the population live in poverty, was paid more than $41m in just 20 months by the wealth fund he managed according to extracts from the documents opublished by The Guardian.

The money was paid as management fees (a standard euphemism for funds filtered by corporate crooks,) via a complex web of companies set up in offshore jurisdictions, mainly the Inidian Ocean island republic of Mauritius but with links to tax havens in The Caribbean and Europe. Jean-Claude Bastos also used his privileged position to help set up large investment deals he stands to further profit from, the Papers show.

All sides deny any wrongdoing.

Like many oil rich countries, Angola set up a sovereign wealth fund to invest the proceeds of its natural resource wealth. Similar schemes have been used by other countries, notably Norway, to help ensure a steady income for future generations.

Angola, like most African nations, is wracked by corruption and suffers extreme poverty. It also has one of the highest child mortality rates in the world.

The fund, Fundo Soberano De Angola (FSDEA), which was set up with capital of with $5bn (£3.75bn) in 2011, was surrounded by controversy from the start; the then Angolan President Eduardo dos Santos' son, 39-year-old Jose Filomeno, was appointed as its first CEO. Jean-Claude Bastos, sometimes also known as Jean-Claude Bastos de Morais, a Swiss-Angolan and close friend of the then president's son, was chosen as the fund's asset manager.

Typically, a fund of this size would spread the risk of investment among several asset managers, along with the fees it pays, said one expert. Instead of this risk spreading, Mr Bastos was given responsibility for investing almost all of the fund's money, and was paid accordingly. His company Quantum Global Investments Africa Management, manages about 85% of it.

One expert described the situation as "unusual". Andrew Bauer, an authority on sovereign wealth funds, told the BBC: "Funds want to hedge the risk. You don't want to put all your eggs in one basket."

Well we can guess that's why they are known as 'hedge funds'.

In a statement, the FSDEA said the appointment of Mr Bastos' company to manage the fund followed "an objective process". The firm was selected, it said, because of its "exemplary performance on previous mandates with the Angolan authorities".

The fund also said giving near total control of investments to one asset manager was part of its policy for the first 18 months only. Leaked documents included among the Paradise Papers investigation show the fund paid management fees of more than $90m (£67.5m) to Mr Bastos' Mauritius-based QG Investments Africa Management. This occurred over a 20-month period between May 2014 and the end of 2015.

The leak offers an unprecedented insight into what happened to the management fees after being paid into Mr Bastos' company. This money was split into two main chunks - with $41m declared as dividends, or pure profit, and deposited in a company in the British Virgin Islands, itself owned by a series of secretive offshore companies ultimately owned by Mr Bastos. A further $34m was paid in advisory fees to a Swiss firm majority owned by Mr Bastos. The rest, after minor expenses, was retained in the management company run by Mr Bastos.

Unfortunately such arrangements are perfectly legal. Such practices are made possible by the process of globalisation, while politicians and the media hype up the touchy - feely, all-join-hands-and-sing-Kumbaya aspects of globalism, such as free movement of people, which far from helping the poor actually facilitates people trafficking rackets, but the real benefit of globalsation is it allows the free movement of money, which benefits the hyper rich enormously.

When asked whether secrecy surrounding his activities was the reason for the series of companies registered offshore, Bastos said it was entirely his personal choice how he receives dividends from his companies. He also said the dividends he receives "pale in comparison to the long term positive impact my projects will have in Angola".

Both the fund and Mr Bastos said the management fees paid to Quantum Global Investments Africa Management are in line with global industry standards.

Brexit Is ‘the Humiliation of Britain’, Says Migrant Charity Thunderbirds Puppet Lookalike Boss David Miliband

David Miliband looks like one of the puppets in the children's TV series Thunderbirds. Thunderbirds was the nickname of disaster aid service International Rescue. Unfortunately the Soros organisation Miliband now works for is named International Rescue.

Britain should have another Brexit referendum before the nation completes the already considerably delayed process of leaving the European Union, and to do any less would be the death of democracy, says former Labour leadership loser David Miliband, who since being rejected by his party in favour of brother Ed has worked for the profoundly undemocratic International Rescue charity which has been instumental in engineering the current flood of legal immigrants entering Europe.

After throwing a hissy fit and flounching out of British politics to become president of the Soros funded International Rescue Committee migration charity, Miliband slammed Brexit, calling it a "humiliation", while speaking to The Sunday Times.

Making clear he not only thought Britain leaving the EU is a mistake, but that the negotiating process was being badly handled by remain-supporting Theresa May, Miliband — the son of a Marxist academic and author — said the prime minister had "bent over so far backwards to prove she’s no longer a Remainer that she’s ended up looking ridiculous".

Miliband added: "She’s obviously not a very good prime minister… And she’s not very good at being prime minister at a time that Britain really needs a good prime minister."

Referring to Brexit, Miliband called it "the biggest threat to the unity and prosperity of the UK since the Second World War", "the humiliation of Britain", and said he wanted to see a second referendum because "democracy cannot be allowed to die on June 23 2016".

In view of that we should heave a collective sigh of relief that Labour party members did throw the blairite Miliband out. He clearly does not understand how democracy works and shares the view of EU leaders that in a democratic referendum if voters return the wrong result they must be made to vote again.

Britain, most people will recall, voted 52-48 to leave the EU, but a number of pro-remain voices including several leading Conservatives and former Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair have called for another referendum, giving the British people a second chance to stick with the Euronazis in Brussels.

Miliband, who compared himself to his friend, failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton as someone who is "probably better at government than at politics", (on the available evidence we conclude that both as equally as shite at government as they are at politics,) continues to work hard to enable and encourage more mass migration and the dismantling by stealth of border controls which makes it easy for terrorists, extremists, murderers and rapists from the third world to enter civilised nations. Despite his admission of having been part of a government that let too many people into Britain, in January Miliband was among the first to criticise President Trump’s immigration policies, and slammed the U.S. for vetting potential refugees.

In 2016, when the Marxist billionaire George Soros announced he was to give $500 million to migrants and refugees, he named Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Rescue Committee, of which Mr. Miliband is president, as close allies who would help him to guide his investment.

Miliband is an enemy of Britain and of European civilisation. His support for Blair's demand that we rerun the Brexit referendum only strengthens the case for us to leave immediately, with out any deal the corrupt and undemocratic EU might try to impose. Only our enemies, those who would destroy our culture and hand sovereignty of our nation to a bureaucratic dictatorship want to keep us in the EU.

It's kicking off in Saudi Arabia. The long awaited political purge we predicted when religious maniac Mohammed bin Salman (Mad Mo.) was named as Crown Prince in June this year and the chosen successor to ailing octogenarian Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

A story from Al Arabiya news agency, citing sources in government, reports Mad Mo has ordered the arrest of at least 11 Saudi princes and four incumbent ministers of the Saudi government. Among those detained are the minister of the National Guard and the minister of economy.

A new anti-corruption committee created and chaired by the Crown Prince net late on Saturday by royal decree of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The decree appoints the crown prince leader of the committee, and grants it broad powers to fight corruption. The committee is exempted from "laws, regulations, instructions, orders and decision" while performing its wide range of duties, namely "identifying offenses, crimes, persons and entities" complicit in corruption, and gives it the power to impose punitive measures on those foung guilty (in Saudi Arabia being found guilty is the same as being accused). It also has powers to freeze assets, impose travel bans and arrest people suspected of having faces Mad Mo does not like.

The committee made its first arrests hours after it was created, detaining the 11 princes and four current ministers as well as "tens" of ex-ministers of the Saudi government in connection with newly opened corruption probes, Al-Arabiya reported.

Minister of the National Guard Prince Miteb bin Abdullah and Economy Minister Adel Fakeih are among those arrested, Al Arabiya cited a senior Saudi official as saying, on condition of anonymity. Alwaleed al-Ibrahim, owner of television network MBC, was also detained.

Dozens of former officials were arrested by the Crown Prince's committee, including a former governor of Riyadh province, former finance minister, and former chief of the Royal Court.

The committee announced it will be relaunching the investigation into the floods that killed over 120 people and caused millions of dollars worth of property damage in the city of Jeddah in 2009. In wake of the previous investigation, concluded in December 2014, 45 people were found guilty of corruption, including senior officials, on charges of bribery, misuse of power and public funds, money laundering and illicit business operations.

Another high-profile case to be revisied by the anti-corruption committee is the investigation into the outbreak of the so-called Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus in Saudi Arabia in 2014, which resulted in nearly 300 deaths and the resignation of the country’s health minister.

Google, The Google Manifesto And The Progressive Agenda

* Googles Handling of the #GoogleManifesto * Anyone and everyone that knows me knows I have been a very vocal advocate of Google products for a very long time. To call me a fanboi of their products has not been an unfair association. Whether it was Gmail, G Suite, or even Google Talk and Hangouts. I even put massive efforts into Googe+ for quite a long while until it became clear it was a DOA product.

I have also been vocal about the things they do I disagree with. I resented them killing off Google Reader. I thought they way they dealt with Google Talk's transition to Hangouts was bad, and I still think Google Allo and Duo are among the most stupid implementations of any recent product. They don't even have feature parity with Hangouts, and they're trying to be 2 products taking on a single product competition (iMessage, WhatsApp, Signal, even Facebook Messenger.) Recently things have been progressively getting worse there.

Youtube has been the forefront of a massive ideological battle between the Progressive (Regressive left) and pretty much anyone not sharing their views. And it has been increasingly clear as time has gone by that Google is falling further and further on the Progressive side of the debate, rather than remaining agnostic or even completely outside the argument at all. I won't go into details, but when Google brings in professional victims, misandrist apologists, and actively shuts down voices that don't share those same opinions (look at the recent banning of Jordan Peterson) then it becomes clear there is no objectivity.

However, this latest scuffle has genuinely been the icing on the cake. Everyone in the media and a lot of the tech commentators are running around screaming misogyny, hate, calling the document nothing but a massive assault on women and their place in the tech industry. Rather than actually discuss the points and refute his comments, they attack the author. Rather than discuss the sentiments expressed, they have literally shut down any discussion. Further, Google said it was "against the code of conduct" to express or even hold such *opinions* and have fired the author for it.


All the while, genuinely oblivious to the fact that this reaction has literally validated the point that was being made in the document. They have literally reacted in exactly the way that was being pointed out in the document as being stiffling and contributing to what can only be described as an echo chamber of ideas. I have actually read the PDF of the so called #googlemanifesto and have seen quite a few scientists, biologists, and psychologists, all agree that the sentiments expressed in the document are legitimate.

The primary point of the document is that this push for "diversity" is well intentioned, but is achieving the exact wrong results. Rather than increasing the quality of people being accepted for positions, they're reducing the requirements for a select group in order to fill some diversity quota. This doesn't ensure that those people in those positions are the best for the role, but are instead merely there because they ticked a box that fills a quota. And as much as I hate to say it, the reaction of Google, the tech media, the mainstream media, and the progressives in general, bothers me enough that I have started moving away from using Google products.

I already run my own Nextcloud, but rather than sync back to Google services, I'm going to go the other direction. Rather than use Gmail, I'm going to run a local instance of RoundCube instead. When they killed Google Reader, I had to replace that, so I am treating this as the same sort of project. Products I can replace locally, I will be replacing with locally hosted alternatives.

There was a time where I could look past the ideological issues. I have been ignoring the fight on Youtube because it wasn't something that directly affected me. I was ignoring the very clear bias in search results and news results because I have learned how to think for myself. But when Google starts deliberately misrepresenting the views of people and using their views as reason to silence them (or fire them in this case,) then I can't pretend I agree with that.

It doesn't matter whether I agree with him or not, the fact that he was obviously let go for voicing his opinion, an opinion that is clearly against the generic opinion of Googler as a group, completely rubs me the wrong way.

What really bothers me, and the absolute irony of the whole situation, is that Google's actions, and the reactions of the mainstream and tech media, the reactions of the progressives online, actually validate what is said in the document. Rather than openly discuss the statements and ideas within the document, they are actively shutting discussion down with strawman and ad hominem attacks against the author and anyone that doesn't immediately agree with their view of the document. And for me, that's dangerous. I don't care how good the product is, when the

Trump Administration Issues Report Concluding That Climate Change Is Real And Man-Made

The Trump Administration is copping a lot of flak over allowing the release of a federal climate report begun under President Barack Obama which concludes that humans are the primary driver of climate change, causing higher temperatures, sea level rise, agriculture problems and more. You will note that nobody has conclusively proved any of these are taking place to an extent that had suggested imminent danger to humanity. In fact all the doom mongering predictions made so far by climate alarmists have proved to be spectacularly wrong.

Having said that, we have to add that in our opinion there was nothing else The White House could do other than release the report. To have blocked its publication would have violatedfree speech laws and had the administration disowned it, the research team (all scientists on the government payroll from before warmageddonist in chief Obama lft office,) would have used that to attack Trump.

The report - whose executive summary alone is 34 pages - found the Earth is undergoing its warmest period "in the history of modern civilization," fueled primarily by rising levels of carbon dioxide. This is a reiteration of a long discredited lie, repeating the falsehood of Prof. Michael Mann's "Hockey Stick graph, which ignored data from the medieval warn period in order to create the impression that tempertures over a few years in the 1990s were unprecedented in the human era. This latst report was released by the U.S. Global Change Research Program, which is mandated by Congress to report every four years on the state of climate change, and is know to be a supporter of Dr. Mann's scaremongering.

The massive study - which is the first volume of the Fourth National Climate Assessment, was years in the making and involved contributions from more than a dozen federal agencies - is meant to be an authoritative assessment of the current state of climate change science.

However, what has caught pundits by surprise, is that many of the report’s conclusions directly contradict the Trump administration’s publicly held positions on climate change, thus we may assume that its conclusiona are, at least in part, politically motivated.

Case in point: Trump officials like EPA chief Scott Pruitt and Energy Secretary Rick Perry have said they can’t be sure whether human-caused greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide are the primary cause of climate change. And yet the Climate Assessment plainly states that is the case. "This assessment concludes, based on extensive evidence, that it is extremely likely that human activities, especially emissions of greenhouse gases, are the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century,” it says. “For the warming over the last century, there is no convincing alternative explanation supported by the extent of the observational evidence."

How about the millions of years of archeological evidence? How about the ice core samples showing more CO2 in the atmosphere with colder temperatures than today? How about the the fact that the oldest ice core sample only dates back 2.7M years. 2.7M years ago there was zero ice on the planet. Therfore it is conclusive that the earth naturally warms and cools. And where is the evidence that determines how much of the current carbon dioxide is from naturally occuring sources such as under sea volcanic vents vs man made combustion of oil and natural gas.

The report's authors have stolen Discredited Dr. Mann's trick of simply ignoring any data that contradicted his initial assumptions. We should explain here that Mann initiated a number of defamation law suits against his critics but has for years been employing legal jiggery pokery to avoid producing his researc data and disprove what his critics said about him. The situation is now that he is trying to stave off demands for payment of his own and his accusers court costs, having failed to prove his case.

There are two issues with the National Climate Assessment - pollution and climate change - and they have little to do with each other. It is a fact however, that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) which the climate change alarmists believe is the only significant pollutant is not in fact a pollutant but trace atmospheric gas essential to the contination of life. No one denies that pollution is driven by human activity and is harmful to both health, property and the environment in general and should be curtailed. We can all agree that polluters are trespassers, but Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant.

Climate change. comprised of warming and cooling, has been around as long as the earth has had a climate and is driven by solar activity and the molten matter beneath the earth's crust. To attribute climate change to human carbon dioxide generating activity when it is known beyond doubt that far more spectacular chimate shifts took place before the human era is to introduce dangerous speculation based on computer model projectionswhich purport to predict what will happen decades into the future. This reliance on purely speculative data has led to the the ridiculous claims that "the science is settled" calls for global taxation and central planning powers to curb CO2 emissions.

The whole fraudulent exercise is a scheme to shift even more power and control to governments and more wealth to corporate business.

Ernst Georg Beck cataloged REAL-time CO2 measurements going back 200 years and PROVED with those measurements that "global warming" is a LIE. He PROVED that in periods of increased industrial output (and hence more CO2 output), the weather got colder, not warmer. The FACT that CO2 levels are driven by temperature changes and do not CAUSE temperature changes is an accepted scientific fact. The planet warms first, and 800 to 1000 years later, CO2 levels rise.

Scientific studies conducted 100 years ago proved CO2 was ineffectual as a greenhouse gas because its effect is duplicated by Water Vapour which exists at far higher concentrations in the upper atmosphere. The AVERAGE climate for the planet is MUCH warmer and MUCH wetter than it is now. The climate we are experiencing in this era is COLDER and DRIER than Earth's average climate. The AVERAGE CO2 level for about the last 500 MILLION years has been 1600 ppm, FOUR TIMES the present level. NOT by coincidence, 1600 PPM is OPTIMUM for plant life and hence ANIMAL life and OUR life.

We have too long allowed ourselves to be manipulated by fear into allowing the state's self-serving "experts" into frightening us into the never ending wars on drugs and terrorism for the benefit of the industries profiting from these unwinnable wars. The war on climate change - a war on what the earth has been doing for eons - will be a forever war justifying the micro management by a vast, bureaucracy of all human activity. It is now emerging that the dossier's production, collusion, and exhibition was an elaborate attempt to cover up the corrupt links between hillaryt Clinton and he husband, former president Bill, and various Russian oligarchs, and the dodgy deals concluded by the pair which netted the Clinons, via their "charitable foundation" $150 million, in return for giving away a few billion dollars worth of assets rightfully owned by the US government on behalf of citizens. Journalists working for left leaning media organisations who investigated the Trump dossier and declared Trump guilty as charged, are now saying their Democratic sources lied to them. That’s already a start. Pressure is being put on Democrat leaders to release journalists from their confidentiality agreements so they can tell the full story of how the Democratic Party National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign staffers knowingly lied about the dossier.

The revelations provide new context for Democrat managr Harry Reid’s "October surprise," his attempt 10 days before Election Day to lever the dossier’s allegations into the press with a public letter to the now discredited FBI Director James Comey accusing him of withholding "explosive information." (The only information Comey withheld was his sure and certain knowledge that the dossier was a fake.)

What Mr. Reid failed to mention of course was his party’s role in concocting the allegations could left him no reason to doubt that the charges were anything but fairy stories concocted by Russian intelligence officials in response to danglings of Democratic money. This is a completely novel and unprecedentedly stupis tactic in politics, bribing agents of a hostile foreign power to concoct lurid stories about a domestic opponent.
