Can we reprogram existing life at will?

To synthetic biologists, the answer is yes. The central code for biology is simple. DNA letters, in groups of three, are translated into amino acids—Lego blocks that make proteins. Proteins build our bodies, regulate our metabolism, and allow us to function as living beings. Designing custom proteins often means you can redesign small aspects of life—for example, getting a bacteria to pump out life-saving drugs like insulin.

All life on Earth follows this rule: a combination of 64 DNA triplet codes, or “codons,” are translated into 20 amino acids.

But wait. The math doesn’t add up. Why wouldn’t 64 dedicated codons make 64 amino acids? The reason is redundancy. Life evolved so that multiple codons often make the same amino acid.

So what if we tap into those redundant “extra” codons of all living beings, and instead insert our own code?

A team at the University of Cambridge recently did just that. In a technological tour de force, they used CRISPR to replace over 18,000 codons with synthetic amino acids that don’t exist anywhere in the natural world. The result is a bacteria that’s virtually resistant to all viral infections—because it lacks the normal protein “door handles” that viruses need to infect the cell.

But that’s just the beginning of engineering life’s superpowers. Until now, scientists have only been able to slip one designer amino acid into a living organism. The new work opens the door to hacking multiple existing codons at once, copyediting at least three synthetic amino acids at the same time. And when it’s 3 out of 20, that’s enough to fundamentally rewrite life as it exists on Earth.

About a year ago, or just over now, we reported on one of our other blogs that the new Coronavirus known as The Wuhan virus, which was rampaging round the world not making many people ill but killing some old and frail or otherwise high risk people had been exposed as a genetically engineered organism which according to some respectable researchers, had genes unique to the HIV virus inserted into its genome.

It was even suggested by some people involved in developing gene therapies that the virus was a geneticaly engineered bioweapon. Then leaked emails linked Dr. Anthony Fauci, America's top virologist and a senior medical adviser to several American presidents, to the laboratory in which the SARS-COV2 virus was developed and also identified him as having funded and commissioned "gain-of-function research on a coronavirus strain found in bats that in its natural state is harmless to humans.

Last year group of Indian scientists discovered that coronavirus was engineered with AIDS like insertions. After GreatGameIndia published the results of the study, it attracted heavy criticism to an extent that the authors were forced to retract their paper. Now, Fauci Emails reveal that it was Dr Anthony Fauci himself who threatened the Indian scientists and forced them to withdraw their study linking COVID-19 to AIDS virus.

Last year, a group of Indian scientists discovered that coronavirus was engineered with AIDS like insertions. The study concluded that it was unlikely for a virus to have acquired such unique insertions naturally in a short duration of time.

Later, none other than the French Nobel Laureate Luc Montagnier himself confirmed the conclusions of the study.

Concerns about the manmade origin of the virus and the implications of the findings of the study were raised with Dr Anthony Fauci as well, but he chose to remain silent and ignore it.

Researcher Adam Gaertner explained to Dr Fauci how the virus was created in an email titled, “Coronavirus bioweapon production method”.

Now the Fauci Emails show that when he was asked about this research paper by the Indian scientists, he had dismissed it saying it is “really outlandish”.

A year after claims that the SARS-COV2 virus which causes the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic virus had been created in a bioweapons research facility in Wuhan, China by genetically engineering a firus found in bats, which in its natural state is harmless to humans we dismisses by governmenrs, academics and the media as the fantasies of right wing conspiracy theorists, every day this week has seen newer ans tromger evidence emerge that the virus is man made and leaked, either accidentally or by design from the Wuhan bioweappons laboratory.

 

The official propaganda narrative spun by government agencies and dutifully parroted by mainstream media was that Covid-19 started naturally when the virus jumpred species from bats to humans (probably via Chinese men who like shagging bats or something equally preposterous,), and in responding to suggestions that the virus could be a bioweapon, US intelligence agencies acknowledged that the virus may have escaped from a lab – echoing a theory posited by the Trump administration that mainstream media and internet  social media tasked with stealing an election for Joe Biden,  quickly crushed.

 

A year on however, and this week both broadcast and prin news services were forced to acknowledge o that maybe Trump Administration officials were correct, or at the very least, not crazy conspiracy theorists, in declaring COVID-19 to be the result of a lab leak. Still, political pundits wondered if the former administration was looking for a scapegoat, a notion former Pence staffer-turned MSM hero Olivia Troye was to eager to affirm.

Asked to comment on the fact that, "President Trump declared a year ago he had seen strong evidence -- he had a high degree of confidence there was a lab leak," Troye said  "He’s now claiming vindication."

COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers (and their allies in mainstream science and government) have so far failed to acknowledge evidence from adverse event reporting schemes that their products are killing and injuring thousands. They say that apart from ‘extremely rare’ allergic reactions – to which they have reluctantly added ‘extremely rare’ blood clotting disorders – there are no known mechanisms whereby such damage could be occurring.

That position was never tenable. The famous spike protein, which most of the vaccines introduce into the body as a means of countering the virus, is in itself a dangerous toxin. The reason it is so dangerous is similar to the reason why the virus itself is a threat to human beings: it has characteristics that enable it to bind to, and distort the action of, a wide range of human cells.

These characteristics almost certainly stem from it being a chimeric virus, originally native to Chinese bats but manipulated in the laboratory to test its capacity to change into a threat to humans.

Scientists hope that the vaccine, through challenging our immune systems by getting our body cells to manufacture small quantities of the protein, will protect against much greater damage from the virus. But the nature of the protein is such as to make it inherently risky, a risk that may be dangerously multiplied when vaccination coincides with a wave of infection, as in India recently.   

A paper widely held to be the ‘smoking gun’ for ultimately bequeathing us Covid-19 was published in Nature in 2015 by US and Chinese researchers, who deliberately altered the spike protein of a bat coronavirus so that it could infect human cells. The work, mainly at the laboratory in Wuhan, China, from which many believe the virus to have accidentally escaped, was claimed to ‘underscore the potential threat of cross-species transmission’ of the virus. 

The researchers acknowledged that these so-called ‘gain of function’ experiments carried risks, writing: ‘The potential to prepare for and mitigate future outbreaks must be weighed against the risk of creating more dangerous pathogens.’ 

Also in 2015, a document written by Chinese scientists and public health officials discussed the weaponisation of such viruses, according to a report published on Saturday by Weekend Australian.

A New Study That Was Just Released Could Fundamentally Change The Way That We View This Pandemic

There is still so much that we don’t know about COVID, but fortunately scientists all over the globe are feverishly studying this virus.  Earlier today, I came across a study that was just released that completely took my breath away.  The study was conducted at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and what it discovered has enormous implications.  Many COVID victims have continued to experience severe symptoms long after the virus is out of their systems, and researchers at Texas Tech University wanted to figure out why this is occurring…

 

Over the last year, COVID “long haulers” have continued experiencing a variety of symptoms months after the virus clears. These include anything from skin problems, to shortness of breath, to losing the sense of taste or smell. Now, researchers say they may know why this is happening. A new study finds coronavirus actually causes long-term changes to an infected patient’s genes.

“Long-term changes to an infected patient’s genes”?

That does not sound good at all.

Specifically, the researchers found that exposure to the COVID spike protein alone “was enough to change baseline gene expression in airway cells”…

SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is covered in tiny spike proteins. During infection, the spike proteins bind with receptors on cells in our body, starting a process that allows the virus to release its genetic material into the inside of the healthy cell.

“We found that exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein alone was enough to change baseline gene expression in airway cells,” said Nicholas Evans, a master’s student in the laboratory of Sharilyn Almodovar, PhD, at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. “This suggests that symptoms seen in patients may initially result from the spike protein interacting with the cells directly.”

Up to now, we had been told that the spike protein itself was relatively harmless.

But now new research is completely contradicting that assertion.

In fact, the researchers discovered that even exposure to low concentrations of purified spike protein could cause long-term gene changes…

The researchers found that cultured human airway cells exposed to both low and high concentrations of purified spike protein showed differences in gene expression that remained even after the cells recovered from the exposure. The top genes included ones related to inflammatory response.

Flying Syringes is a phrase that is used to refer to a proposed project funded by Bill Gates to create genetically modified mosquitoes that inject vaccines into people when they bite them.

In 2008, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation awarded $100,000 to Hiroyuki Matsuoka of Jichi Medical University in Japan to do research on genetically modified mosquitoes.

Hiroyuki Matsuoka at Jichi Medical University in Japan thinks it may be possible to turn mosquitoes that normally transmit disease into “flying syringes,” so that when they bite humans they deliver vaccines.

Professor Hiroyuki Matsuoka will attempt to design a mosquito that can produce and secrete a malaria vaccine protein into a host’s skin. The hope is that such mosquitoes could deliver protective vaccines against other infectious diseases as well.

If Matsuoka proves that his idea has merit, he will be eligible for an additional $1 million of funding.
