France leads celebrity pushback against '#MeToo'

The pushback against #MeToo and other left wing witch hunts is gathering momentum

Since the Harvey Weinstein scandal erupted there has been an increasingly hysterical campaign by third generation feminists and male 'progressives' whose emotionally needy virtue signalling drives them to support anything that demeans their race, sex and social class to engineer a belief that Harvey Weinstein is the template for all heterosexual white males. 

This is a long way from being true of course, but even the few Hollywood stars and media commentators brave enough to point out the truth, that the vast majority of men are not sexual predators and know how to behave properly with women both in company and when alone together. A hundred French feminists, led by Catherine Deneuve have signed a letter published in Le Monde to castigate the #MeToo campaign for launching a withch hunt and demonizing all men.

In Britain many older feminists are starting to say the #MeToo crowd have gone to far and criticism of male conduct has descended into irrational hatred. In France the pushback has been even stronger.

I once asked the novelist Ian McEwan about the challenges of he faces, as a man, writing in a woman’s voice, as he often does. Speaking on the Today programme, he said that when “the whole mob is in full cry”, he is inclined to “withhold judgments until I have heard the arguments in court”.

Seal, a singer noted for the quality of his work and the longevity of his career has been one of the first to break ranks from the Hollywood politically correct mafia and expose Oprah's self serving double standards.

The singer has publicly criticized Winfrey for the extreme hypocrisy surrounding her speech at the Golden Globes and subsequent grandstanding in the wake of the Hollywood harassment scandal. The singer's post to Instagram Wednesday that openly showed Oprah actually sucking on Hollywood mega-predator Harvey Weinstein’s ear while another showed her actually introducing a young actress to him. The exposé has become a viral meme on the internet as public disgust at the Hollywood liberal's self righteousness in telling people who live in the real world not only how to vote, but how to think.

Seal added, commenting on Oprah's claim that in the decades she had known Weinstein she had not been aware of his reputation as a predator, “Oh I forgot, that’s right…..you’d heard the rumors but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young starry-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into. My bad,”

Keep in mind that Oprah stands accused of far more than “hearing” rumors.

British actress Kadian Noble claimed she was raped in a hotel room by Weinstein, who had earlier greeted him with Oprah “swinging off his arm” at a London event in 2014.

“Harvey wasn’t acting alone. Harvey wasn’t allowed and enabled to do what he did to Kadian and other women without help,” said Noble’s attorney, Jeff Herman.
Weinstein was attacked while while eating dinner at an Arizona restaurant this week.

If the Democrats could ever have thought a self serving hypocrite like Oprah Winfrey would be their savior for 2020 the party has obviously learned nothing fom the humiliation of Hillary Clinton. Winfrey is the front woman of a TV freak show, that's all. Trump had at least built his business into a multi billion dollar global brant before he branched out into fronting a freak show.

We have been gobsmacked by the hypocrisy of Hollywood luvvies and liberal politicians in the USA as they have hurried to jump on the latest politically correct bandwagon and condemn Harvey Weinstein for the way he exploited his position as the most powerful producer in the film and television industry to bully and coerce young actresses into granting him sexual favours in order to advance, or in some cases preserve,) their careers. This should not be interpreted as implying The Daily Stirrer approves in any way of Weinstein's behaviour. He's a pervert.

What bothers us however is that not only were his antics widely known throughout showbusiness, in the media and to the political establishment for decades before The New York Times decided to take him down for reasons we may never know but can hazard a guess that it might relate to the fact that truth seekers were getting too close to prominent people the NYT had an even more compelling reason to protect.

The kind of abuse Weinstein inflicted on attractive young women who found themselves either beholden to him or needing a favour from him has been par for the course in Hollywood since the 1920s. One of the biggest victims of the exploitation and abuse culture was Marilyn Monroe, (the linked info is a private blog - if you don't consider it a reliable source just enter "Marilyn Monroe abuse" in your preferred search engine,) who was abused throughout her career and whose early death has been attributed to the treatment she received at the hands of the Hollywood elite.

Given they way Hollywood has behaved in closing ranks to protect those involved in scandal over the years we should believe the worst of all the rumours and allegations that come out. The habit liberals have of jumping on any politically correct bandwagon is deplorable, but made all the more so when we contrast the way many of those now lining up to condemn condemn Harvey Weinstein, (against whom, it must be said, nothing has yet been proved,) have campaigned for the pardon and rehabilitation of the convicted paedophile and rapist Roman Polansky. One must suppose that where the accusations that took down Weinstein came from established actresses, the twelve year old girl Polansky was convicted of abusing was "nobody" and thus in the warped morality of the fame junkie mindset, is of no consequence.

There are hundreds of other stories on course, one of the most shocking and most available being the revelations of actor Cory Feldman, who alleged in 1993 he was was anally raped by powerful people in Hollywood while a highly successful child star in the 1980s. A condensed version of his book Coreyography was serialised by UK newspaper The Daily Mail. Feldman also reports his co star Corey Haim suffered simlilar abuse. Unfortunately Haim took his own life in 2010 after a long battle with drug addiction. Feldman claims he and Haim were introduced to drugs by their abusers. Ignore those who will tell you The Daily Mail is a disgusting right wing arag that only prints lies. Its style is sensationalist and designed to ppeal to readers' baser instincts, but it's reporting of this story sticks with what Corey Feldman has said and his friend Elijah Wood has confirmed.

It is easy to condemn Harvey Weinstein, he is now a soft target. He deserves all the condemnation, the ostracism and whatever penalties the justice system sees fit to impose. But as a result of this case we should examine ourselves too, and the celebrity culture we have allowed ourselves to be sucked into. Actors, musicians and writers entertain us but that does not place them, nor the people that produce and promote their work, above the law.

Weinstein scandal: What it tells us about celebs, American politics & Hollywood

The Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal which has rocked the Hollywood establishment and shocked America to its core, according to mainstream media should not have surprised anyone (if fact much of the shock and horror being expressed is typical Hollywood liberal hypocrisy.) And now the story has broken, it seems that as well as a few who were actually victims of this man, all the usual suspects are jumping on the bandwagon and shouting, "me too, me too."

To them we can only say,"Honestly, you celebrity sheeple, we in the real world know what goes on in showbiz, the fashion game, politics and all other areas where fame and fortune are in the gift of venal individuals, you people are not as unique and amazing as you think. There have always been both women and men who would disrobe and 'assume the position' for the sake of short term gain. You are mummers for fuck's sake, players in a farce, stop believing your own publicity."

Weinstain (!) has been known as a sexual predator for years and the history of rich, powerful old men in Hollywood using their position to extort sexual favours from good looking young actors and actresses is as old as Hollywood itself. We have reported it in our blogs, HERE, HERE, AND HERE.

The latest Hollywood scandal (plus a few linked in the previous paragraph,) and the corruption endemic in Washington, isn’t only an indictment of the celebrity culture, but of America’s moral decay as well.

The story of Weinstein, the uber-powerful film producer, co-founder of Miramax Films, friend and major donor to Democratic politicians (including Hillary Clinton whose mock outrage in her condemnation of him for doing what she could not have been unaware of when he was useful to her, and behaviour similar to that she has tolerated and defended in her husband Bill for decades,) is the story of America's moral decay in the second half of the twentieth century and on into the twenty first.

Sure Harvey was fired from his job as co-Chairman of The Weinstein Company after the New York Times ran an article exposing his serial sexual harassment of female employees, is such a perfect storm of corruption, depravity and hypocrisy that it exquisitely encapsulates the moral decay of America. Prior to that article however, the great and not o good of show business and politics had obviously known of this proclivities but had closed ranks to protect one of their own.

The New York Times piece revealed that Weinstein has, over the years, settled at least eight sexual harassment lawsuits out of court. We are told the settlements included gagging clauses. What the article reported just the tip of a really grotesque iceberg, for in its wake a plethora of other claims has surfaced.

In a New Yorker article, written, ironically enough, by Ronan Farrow, son of alleged pedophile Woody Allen, even more claims emerged of Weinstein’s predatory behavior. One of the many lowlights from that article includes Italian actress/filmmaker Asia Argento and two other women claiming that Weinstein raped them.

The most famous women among the sea of those claiming harassment at the hands of the movie mogul are Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan and Rosanna Arquette. Thereare of course many condemning Weinstein who had no direct dealings but are vicariously shocked and offended by the scandal.

The repugnance of the Weinstein scandal i overwhelming, and nearly every public person is going through the pantomime of denouncing Harvey and his lecherousness, but this comes over as disingenuous at best. All the movie stars, media members, and politicians now publicly expressing their disgust at Weinstein have previously displayed nothing but admiration for his genius as a producer and promoter during the time he could influence their careers, or give them credibility as they campaigned for votes.

What strikes us is the many similarities with a showbiz scandal that shook Britain in 2014 when DJ and television presenter Jimmy Savile, about whom there had been rumours for decades but who, like Weinstein had been protected by the establishment (allegations of his bizarre and perverted behaviour were routinely deflected by reminders that he "did a lot for charity," but as stories emerged that had been covered up for years it turned out even that had an ulterior motive.

So how do people like Harvey Weinstein and jimmy Savile get escape exposure for so long? The main reason is the deification of fame; both were shameless self promoters, Savile's schtick was a man of the people act, the charity work was part of this, his TV shows specialised in putting members of the public centre stage for a few minutes. And he was a valuable asset to his main employer, the taxpayer funded public broadcaster The BBC. Weinstein had a knack of producing films have been nominated for Oscars for Best Picture 26 times in the last 28 years and have been nominated overall for over 300 Academy Awards. In other words, Harvey could make people rich and famous, which is why so many in Hollywood found enough felixibility in their moral compass to ignore his alternative career as a rapist and sex abuser. To quote Upton Sinclair, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”

Blind ambition isn’t the only reason Hollywood looked the other way regarding Weinstein, political expediency played a part as well. Weinstein has been a long time supporter of Democratic candidates, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton in particular, and has donated a lot of money to their campaigns. And so both those hypocrites, who had shamelessly played on their politically correct credentials when campaigning were quite happy to turn a blind eye to misogyny when the money was rolling in from a misogynist

A perfect example of someone making a devil’s bargain with Weinstein for political reasons is Lena Dunham, a vociferous and vocal Clinton supporter and devout feminist, who has consistently attacked Donald Trump for a crude, but private, conversation that took place years ago. Duham admitted she knew of Weinstein’s predatory reputation in regards to women, but still shook his hand and performed at a fundraiser he held for Clinton’s campaign. Dunham said she betrayed her feminist values because “she so desperately wanted to support Clinton.” Yeah, right Lena, the end justifies the means when the end is to advance your agenda.

Hollywood liberals were quick to denounce Evangelical Christians for supporting Trump despite his alleged moral turpitude and misogyny, calling them hypocrites. Well in the case of hypocrites, I guess it takes on to know one.

Both are or were in Savile's case, totally self centred, amoral, entitled, corrupt, impervious to criticism, blindly ambitious, lacking self awareness, and willing to use power and fame to exploit the weak and indulge their darker impulses and insatiable desires. The sooner we recognize that, and recognise our own shortcomings in having been so besotted by wealth and fame we tolerated it, the faster we can try to arrest the moral decay that threatens out way of life.

Elijah Wood: Hollywood Is Run By A Powerful Elite Pedophile Ring

Actor Elijah Wood has spoken out about the so - called Pizzagate Hollywood pedophilia scandal, claiming that the entertainment industry is controlled by a group of media moguls who share a passion for paedophile sex and have managed to escape legal sanction for decades because of their close links with Washington D.C. elitists. Feldman attributes Haim's early death due to his drink and drug abouse to sexual molestation.

Wood claim the Hollywood scandal is on a scale similar to that of Jimmy Savile in the UK, in which the former TV star, who had a close relationship with the British Royal Family, was not only a serial pedophile that had abused literally hundreds of children, but was allegedly a procurer of children for elite pedophile rings. “You all grew up with Savile – Jesus, it must have been devastating,” he told The Sunday Times. “Clearly something major was going on in Hollywood. It was all organised”.

“There are a lot of vipers in this industry, people who only have their own interests in mind,” he added. “There is a darkness in the underbelly – if you can imagine it, it’s probably happened.” Last week we had news of hundreds of arrests connected with Pizzagate and the so calledc Hollywood Paedophile ring. The arrests came across California in what was described as a huge crack down on human trafficking. Although it seems that authorities now seem to be taking the crimes of these child sex abuse traffickers seriously, some fear that the shadowy figures who organise the chain will remain shielded from prosecution.

Wood said abuse prevails because victims are unable to speak as loudly as those in power. “That’s the tragedy of attempting to reveal what is happening to innocent people,” he said. “They can be squashed but their lives have been irreparably damaged.” Anne Henry, the co-founder of Bizparents, an organization set up to help young actors, claimed Hollywood was currently sheltering “100 active abusers” and a “tsunami” of claims was emerging.

Meryl Streep generated huge laughs from the assembled Golden Globe Award audience with her swipe at then-President-elect (at the time) Donald Trump. Are we going to restore “civility, truth and kindness” to our culture by attacking her?

The Jewish scripture on which our country was founded exhorts us to “never return evil for evil” (in this case insult for insult), that “love barely notices when others do wrong” and to “pray for those that persecute you.”

Her comment gives all of us the opportunity to call upon these verses. Let’s work to understand what motivates her thinking and to provide an opportunity for her followers to better understand us 63 million “deplorables.”

Hot on the heels of Ms. Streep in the race to prove all actors are total airheads when being themselves rather than pretending to be somebody else came Ewan McGregor. Obi-Wan-Renton blotted his copybook by failing to turn up to promote the new trainspotting film on a breakfast show, announcing his non appearance on twitter by tweeting that he refused to appear alongside journalist Piers Morgan. His reason for this hissy fit?

Little Ewan took exception to Piers having commented on the women in London who marked through the streets dressed as vaginas (as if we didn't already know they are cunts) to protest against Donald Trump becoming President of the USA. Morgan had merely pointed out that these ladies seemed unaware that Trump was not the president of Britain as we have a Monarchist system, so there was no point to their protest.

Clooney, Streep Open Berlin Islamophiliac Film Festival

Film festivals like award ceremonies are where shallow, self obsessed luvvies gather to indulge in mutual arse kissing. Trouble is these flimsy, one - dimensional people think they are important (Picture source)

Hollywood will be out in force to kick off the Berlin film festival Thursday, with Meryl Streep joining George Clooney and the Coen brothers for the event where Europe’s refugee crisis will also play a starring role.

The 11-day Berlinale which, like most film festivals in Europe except for Cannes and Venice, is usually ignored by Hollywood is this year attracting the 'liberal' airheads of Hollywood as they see a chance to indulge in the favourite pastime of rich, talentless American media luvvies by meddling in things they don't understand.

Clooney, a pretty, simpering dimwit actor who, in one of the festival's main attractions, Hail Caesar, plays pretty, simpering dimwit actor (the role he is cast in whatever his vehicle), is expected on the red carpet with his wife Amal and co-stars Channing Tatum and Tilda Swinton.

“Hail, Caesar!” made by ultra 'liberal' brothers Joel and Ethan Coen who used to make decent films until they decided their job was not to entertain us but to brainwash us with politically correct propaganda, opened in the United States last week to the predictable rave reviews from presstitutes but modest (less be honest, effing disastrous,) box office returns, is screening at the festival.

Streep is serving as this year’s jury president, judging 18 contenders from around the world.

The three-time Oscar winner and her team including British actor Clive Owen will on February 20 hand out the Golden Bear top prize, which last year went to Iranian dissident filmmaker Jafar Panahi for “Taxi”, which he made in secret.

Among the world premieres generating buzz ahead of the start was a new adaptation of the international bestseller “Alone in Berlin”, Hans Fallada’s 1947 novel based on a true story.

The Nazi-era thriller sees Emma Thompson and Brendan Gleeson play a German couple who risk their lives to mount a resistance campaign against Hitler after losing their only son in the war.

As Europe endures the largest refugee influx since World War II, with 1.1 million asylum seekers arriving in Germany last year, the theme of migration will be front and centre at the event. In other words it is just a propaganda festival. Ignore everything to do with it.
