Two-thirds of unemployed welfare benefit recipients in Germany are immigrants as cost to taxpayer soars

Almost two-thirds of people receiving welfare benefits in Germany are immigrants or a from "a migration background", new figures from Germany's Federal Employment Agency have revealed.

The statistics published by the agency and cited by the Die Welt broadsheet showed that 63.1 percent of those in receipt of the so-called citizen’s income, or “Bürgergeld,” are of migrant origin, and “most do not have a German passport.”

The newspaper reported that numbers of people in work are increasing year-on-year, because the Federal Republic has for decades encouraged mass immigration of low-skilled people, the number of migrants who are unemployed and receiving social benefits is increasing at a faster rate.”

The figures define “migration background” as anyone who themselves or whose parents were born without German citizenship, i.e., first- and second-generation migrants.

Of the 3.93 million people eligible for the taxpayer-funded welfare benefit as of December 2023, 2.48 million are classed as being of a migration background, with 1.83 million claimants not having German citizenship.

The percentage varies considerably among the federal states. In Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, and Hamburg, more than 7 in 10 of unemployed are migrants at 76.4 percent, 74.1 percent, and 72.8 percent, respectively.

There exists a strong correlation between the rise in the migrant population and the percentage of welfare benefits going to migrants, giving weight to the argument that mass immigration of low-skilled workers is not a net benefit to Europe’s largest economy.

Woke Nonsense Is Warping Everyday Life

Americans are growing angrier by the day, but in a way different from prior sagebrush revolts such as the 1960s Silent Majority or the Tea Party movement over a decade ago.

The rage this time is not just fueled by conservatives.

For the first time in their lives, Americans of all classes and races are starting to fear a self-created apocalypse that threatens their family's safety and the American way of life.

The border is not just porous as in the pre-Trump past. It is arguably nonexistent. Some 2 million people may cross illegally in the current fiscal year, according to reports -- with complete impunity. There is zero effort to stop them. Officials hector Americans daily to get vaccinated and tested for COVID-19. But they are mute about illegal entrants, some of them no doubt infected with the virus.

Have we ever had a president who made no pretense about destroying federal immigration law and asking of Americans what he does not ask of those entering the country illegally?

Joe Biden has also conceded that his moratorium on housing evictions defied a Supreme Court ruling. He added that he probably didn't have the legal authority to ignore the court but didn't really care.

As in the case of demolishing immigration law, the president seems either unaware or proud that he is insidiously dismantling the Constitution.

America has also never before seen such overt and multifaceted efforts to undermine the foundations of free-market capitalism.

At a time of resurging GDP, low unemployment and record worker shortages, Biden has announced that renters can continue to avoid paying what they owe their landlords -- even after a prior year of free housing.

In a rebounding economy amid record debt, the government is still sending workers unemployment benefits that are more remunerative than the paychecks they would earn if employed.

Such insanity not only means that labor-short employers can't provide goods and services to American consumers; the new ethos also institutionalizes the pernicious idea that it is smarter to stay home and be idle than to get a job and be productive. ... Continue reading at Zero Hedge

Los Angeles Residents Fear Major Riots Are imminent, Poll Reveals

Given the current political climate in the USA after eight years of incompetence and divisive policies delivered by the Obama Administration, as well as the effect of ongoing economic conditions on the working and lower middle classes it is surprising the riots witnessed in the past few years have been relatively tame and of brief duration.

Riots in U.S. urban ghettos in the past lasted for days, with millions of dollars worth of damage done and many lives lost. That could be about to change however, According to a poll carried out among resident of Los Angeles someday soon we might 'see the LA river flowing with much blood,' (paraphrased from Virgil's Aeneid.)

For the first time since the riots, there is an uptick in the number of Angelenos who fear that another civil disturbance is likely, according to a Loyola Marymount University poll that has been surveying Los Angeles residents every five years since the 1992 disturbances.

Nearly 6 out of 10 Angelenos think another riot is likely in the next five years, increasing for the first time after two decades of steady decline. That’s higher than in any year except for 1997, the first year the survey was conducted, and more than a 10-point jump compared with the 2012 survey.

The notorious 1992 LA riots were largely fueled by racial tensions. Next time, while racial divisions, depite the best efforts of the race-baiter president, Barack Hussein Obama, will only play a minor role, economic factors are likely to be the driver of civil disorder. Like a majority of Democrat run cities in the USA, Los Angeles is divided by an enormous and rapidly widening wealth gap, with unemployment and part - employment rising among low skilled groups, housing costs and other necessary expenses are crushing the lower classes.

“Economic disparity continues to increase, and at the end of the day, that is what causes disruption,” said Fernando Guerra, a political science professor who has worked on the survey since its inception. Unfortunately such economic conditions creat an ideal situation for political meddlers like billionaire psychopath George Soros to exploit, furthering his Marxist and globalist agendas.

“People are trying to get along and want to get along, but they understand economic tension boils over to political and social tension.”

Although the city’s unemployment rate last year was about half of what it was in 1992, the median income of Angelenos, when adjusted for inflation, is lower than it was around the time of the riots. Poverty rates still remain high at 22%, comparable with the years preceding the riots.

It should be noted of course that conclusions such as those are based on the government's fraudulent way of counting the unemployed (i.e. excluding from statistics those unemployed for 99 weeks or more)

There’s something to be said for the idea that there’s a collective unconscious. When that many people feel that violent civil unrest is a real possibility, one should take notice. These people know what their city is capable of, so I can’t help but fear that their concerns are justified.

France Chaos Becoming A Threat To The Entire European Union

France, the second-largest economy and second most populous nation of the European Single Currency Group (Eurozone) has become a shambolic centre of civil unrest and is close to being a failed state: French social and economic problems are so profound they now pose a threat to the whole European Union as the chaos looks likely to spill over into other member states where public anger over economic stagnation, high unemployment, unsustainable levels of immigration and E U authoritarianism have been simmering for months. Especially at risk is Germany, according to an analysis of economic correspondents of the German daily Die Welt.

In the follow up to the ongoing labor law disputes in France, which led to violent street protests and a massive strike by the country’s railroad workers, Die Welt’s economic experts, Holger Zschaepitz and Anja Ettel have given five reasons to be worried about the country’s future.

“While everybody is talking about Brexit, the referendum on the United Kingdom’s continued membership of the European Union mainstream media is studiously ignoring the mounting problems in other nations which threaten the common goal of a powerful Europe,” the authors write in their article for Die Welt.

They mention the rise of nationalist parties in many European nations as voters have become aware that the EU obsession with 'ever closer union' will mean the end of their nations' independence. One of the major concerns about France’s relationship with the Euro is the inability of their government to devalue their currency to help balance trade and “nourish” the economy. This is due to Germany having bullied other members of the single currency into tying their weaker economies to Germany's idustrial power house

According to economic analysts, in order to adjust its currency to the economic strength of the country, France needs to devalue their currency by at least ten per cent — impossible within the straitjacket of the Euro — and to restructure their labor market, which is also impossible due to EU labour laws which supersede any local laws.

Otherwise the country only has at its disposal debt-financed economic stimulus packagesand that approach has failed over the past eight years and could never be a long term solution (ask any educated person in Greece).

Until the financial crisis, debts grew synchronously in both France and Germany. Since then however, Germany has taken a curve and is now heading for a debt ratio of below 70 percent. Meanwhile, France does not have any control of its growing debt because France's Euro is linked to Germany's economy, and the debt will soon reach 100 percent of economic output.

In other words, all the French people will have to work without pay for the whole year only to pay off the debt of their country.

Surprisingly, France’s struggle with its debt comes at a time when the rate of interest charged by the European Central Bank (ECB) has never been lower. Which means things can only get worse

The socialist government is attempting to introduce legislation to end France’s traditional 35 hour working week. It is these reforms which have triggered the wave of protests and industrial action across France, bringing the nation’s rail network to a standstill while motorists suffer petrol shortages, and police come under attack from rioters. Despite the disruption, some 46 per cent of French citizens polled still support the strike action.

One of the reasons I started to use this blog more after it had lain virtually untouched for years (amassing only about 3000 page views in six years) was that I wanted to brink a more international flavour to my family of blogs and web pages. I was driven towards this course by the attitude among people who call themselves 'liberal and 'progressive' that only one set of beliefs and values is socially acceptable. This Pensée Unique (to give the blog a foreign flavour) embraces several principles which its supporters (most of whom claim they are atheists) cling to with the fervour of religious zealots. One of these is that all immigration is good. To hear Pensée Unique fanatics in the anglosphere screeching when this dogma is challenged one might think the UK and USA are the only nations where government sponsored mass immigration by people who have no intention of integrating socially or culturally is seen as a problem by significant numbers of ordinary citizens.

Sweden's Christian Democrats: Cut refugee benefits.

In response perhaps to the rising popularity of Sweden's new, right of centre political party, the Sweden Democrats who anti - immigration stance is striking a chord with many ordinary, working class Swedes who feel their country is being given away to foreigners by an unrepresentative 'liberal elite' that control national politics, the well established Christian Democrat party has shocked academics and media luvvies by moving sharply against immigration as the country approaches a General Election in March.

The Christian Democrats have announced proposals to reduce the cost of the asylum process in Sweden, arguing that cuts are necessary to maintain "the legitimacy" of the system.

"I am tired of the fact that all discussions [of immigration] start and end with the SwedenDemocrats," Christian Democrat leader Göran Hägglund said on Thursday.

The Christian Democrat's proposals include reducing the level of benefits paid to refugees seeking asylum in the country and the introduction of temporary residence permits.

"This is a problem with which we have not achieved sufficient success," Hägglund said referring to the high levels of unemployment among newly-arrived immigrants in comparison to people born in Sweden.

Hägglund explained that his party, which suffered heavy losses in last September's election, would like to see the changes in order to "preserve the legitimacy" of Sweden's immigration policy.

Among the proposed measures is a proposal that new immigrants be able to earn up to 100,000 kronor ($13,000) tax free per annum for their first five years in Sweden. At the same time the party proposed a reduction in introduction benefits.

While Hägglund underlined that the proposals were not a question of "closing the border", the move was welcomed by the Sweden Democrats (SD), who have proposed a dramatic reduction in immigration to Sweden.

"This paves the way for a more informed debate about immigration," acting party leader Mattias Karlsson said on Thursday.

Karlsson added that the proposal could make it easier for SD to side with the Alliance if they were to win the upcoming extra election.

The Christian Democrats, which form part of the four-party Alliance opposition, are reported to have acted alone in the matter while the Moderates and the Liberal Party have welcomed the discussion.
