The Internet Of Things: A Dystopian Nightmare Where Your Entire Life Will Be Monitored On The Internet

We have reported many times on the Internet of Things an idea planned by the big technology companies and bevoled of control freak mainstream politicians and the creepy people who run global corporations. Those who love the idea of technology controlling us are cheering the idea.

How do you feel about a future in which everything we say or write is being recorded by our computers and mobile phones, what we watch on TV or from DVDs or the music we play on whatever devices we use for playing music, how much water we use when we take a bath, how often we shower, what we eat and drink and even when wash our clothes or go for a dump being recorded and stored in government or corporate databases?

We are of course dismissed as conspiracy theorists and right wing nut jobs by those who love authority, who dream of living in a totally ordered world when every move is dictated to us, or even being recuced to humandroids by the next stage of the plan. Already Google are working on a system which will interface the human brain with their server centres.

A horrible thought, surely people would rebel, you think. Yet you would be surprised how many people agree with a statement made recently by Eric Schmidt, chairman and former CEO of Google: "Google chairman Eric Schmidt put it: "I actually think most people don't want Google to answer their questions. They want Google to tell them what they should be doing next."

Migrants swarm through EU back door along Serbia’s border with Hungary

Free movement of people within the European union would be a fine thing if the borders of EU nations were reasonably secure. It would be impossible to prevent illegal border crossings totally but that does not mean we should give up altogether. A global nation with no border controls is one of the sacred cows of the elite cultural Marxists who run the EU of course.


A sacred cow, because EU cultural Marxism demands of member nations an all embracing welfare state and socialized healthcare. And both of those are totally incompatible with globalization and open borders. What is going on now, on the Italian island of Lampedusa (reported elsewhere in this document) and along Hungary's border with Serbia, in effect the border between the relative prosperity of the EU and the poverty and instability of the Balkans, illustrates the problem very clearly.

So far this year (and it is only March 1 as I write), tens of thousands of migrants from the Middle East, Africa and Kosovo have been massing on Serbia’s border with Hungary, hoping to cross illegally into the European Union nation and flee west to a better life. Many have been on the road for months, having paid their life savings to people trafficking criminals, even prostituted themselves, in order to be herded into goods containers for the journey to a promise of a promised land where money is free. Exhausted, hungry and cold, they must walk over rough terrain for miles because the traffickers will not risk going too close to the trigger happy border guards.

What little these people have is carried in plastic bags. They camp in abandoned homes, followed by stray dogs hoping to snag a morsel.

It is all so reminiscent of the problem of would be migrants to Europe massing on Libya's Mediterranean coast.

Sometimes the migrants camp in the border area for days, hiding amid the crops, playing hide and seek with border patrols. Graffiti in Arabic, torn transit papers, ragged shirts and garbage litter the fields.
Serbian and Hungarian border teams carry night-vision equipment as they patrol the border night and day. The situation has deteriorated quickly probably for reasons too complex to analyse. It is now so serious that German police have recently been sent to the area to strengthen the border policing. Hungary is part of the European Union’s Schengen passport-free travel zone so once inside many migrants are aiming to reach Germany, the UK (which is not in the zone so undocumented migrants face another high risk crossing from Calais to the English channel ports) and wealthier EU nations.

In Calais, a border guard summed up the futility of trying to protect the borders when he said, "we pop them back over the fence, but they will return later." Pop them back over the fence. Why are we bothering at all? Why waste our money and their time with this pantomime? Why not just hand out the British passports at Calais from a fairground booth, no questions asked? We all know and they all know they are going to get them in the end when Labour get back in power.

Some reporters have suggested the Hungarian problem is Serbia's revenge against NATO countries for the atrocities committed by the USA and NATO in that country during the 1990s, after Yugoslavia was broken up.

Groups of five or six migrants walk furtively along the highway or the rail tracks in Serbia, hoping to find a safe place to cross. The Serbs are glad to see them go, Serbia is not an EU nation and has no bureaucratic rules imposed from outside its national borders that force the authorities to take care of migrants. As far as the Serbian authorities are concerned these people are just trouble.
If they are caught crossing the border, they are either deported to Macedonia from where most enter Serbia, or they seek asylum in Serbia, which buys them more time. Others make it across only to run into Hungarian authorities — some 25,000 migrants have been detained in Hungary so far this year alone, compared to nearly 45,000 last year.

This week, a van packed with more than 40 migrants swerved off the road in southern Serbia, injuring half of them, some seriously. The driver ran away. We have told similar stories of Africans being dumped in the desert as they headed for Spanish enclaves on the Moroccan coast, or being abandoned at sea as the unseaworthy craft they had been put in were approached by Italian coastguards.

The EU wants to bring in 50 million Africans, Arabs and Turks in the next 30 years. This is an official policy, they want borders to be open and they want none European people to come. As Berthold Brecht put it, if the government dislikes the people, it has to "dissolve" them; to replace the English, French, Dutch and German who (with a few unfortunate interruptions) have resisted authoritarian rule, with people from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa who think that corruption and dictatorship are the norm and will not complain about EU bureaucratic authoritarianism as long as they get 'free money'.

Back in 2008 we predicted pretty accurately how things would turn out under Presdident Barack Obama. We were not totally correct (well we are a British site) but where we erred it was on the side of caution. For example while it was easy enough to be aware that the egomaniacal former rent boy would become an authoritarian and imperialistic ruler who would turn the USA into a racially, religiously, financially divided Orwellian dystopia, we considered it would be going too far to actually say; "This clown will create a Ministry of Love where dissidents can be 're-educated' in politically correct, stoner philosophy.

In '1984', George Orwell's novel of life in a brutal, authoritarian dictatorship, The Ministry Of Love, housed in a black walled, windowless building, is where those suspected of 'Thought Crimes' against the regime. In the total surveillance society, where telecreens moniored what happened in every home while broadcasting propaganda constantly, and when family members were rewarded for spying on each other and no neighbour could ever be trusted, guilt of Thought Crime was established by evidence of people acting, speaking or thinking against the regime, but also if they did not show sufficient enthusiasm in their support of it or their hatred of its fictional enemies, the manufactured hate objects which the regime used to keep the population in a state of fear.

The Ministry Of Love awaited all those accused of Thought Crime; to be accused was to be proved guilty. Housed within The Ministry Of Love was the notorious Room 101

Now the Obama regime has brought the Ministry Of Love and very probably a version of Room 101 out of the realm of fiction and into reality.

As you can see from the picture, Obama's Ministry Of Love does not quite fit Orwell's description (a windowless. black building might attract too much attention on a suburban business park,) and we don't know what name it has been given, but we can easily guess what goes on in there.

NEIN! Germany's Bild Comdemns Latest Greek Can Kicking Exercise

With just a day left before a key vote in the German Bundestag on ratifying the 4-month Greek bailout extension, the biggest-selling, mass-market newspaper of the EU's most powerful economy, with a circulation of 2.5 million, Bild, has let the Ruling Bureaucrats of Brussels feels about the latest financial acrobatics aimed at preventing poo old Greece from escaping the slavery imposed on it by membership of the Euro.

The one - word banner headline hardly needs translation but just to be sure the Euro Rat Bureaucrats get the message, the sub heading printed below "Nein", translates as "No more billions for greedy Greeks."

As part of a campaign to persuade the budestag to thake the first step towards a trial separation from the perpetually penniless Club Mediterranean nations, Bild is encouraging its readers to take selfies holding the page up and send them in for publication. Selfies of readers brandishing the “Nein!” had already begun flooding in on Thursday morning, with many holding it up in their offices or outside their homes.

Lars Riiser, a banker, stuck it to the window of his office on the upper floors of one of Frankrfurt’s skyscrapers, with a view of Germany’s financial capital behind. Some readers took the selfie holding up iPads showing the headline instead of a newspaper.

As noted above, the publicity stunt comes ahead of a vote that will seek to pass the proposed Greek reforms. Earlier today, it was reported that at least 22 MPs in Merkel's Christian Democrat party are unhappy with the deal, and indicated that they intend to defy the party whip and vote against it. There is no chance of the deal being defeated, because Mrs Merkel’s coalition has a huge majority, but so many defection from her own party would be a symbolic blow and would give a higher profile to anti - Euro party AFD."

The endless Greek bailouts have become a very sensitive one for Germany, with public opinion polarized whether Greece should be the receipient of what Germany sees as endless taxpayer funding, at least one entity has so far voiced support for Merkel and the dream of a single European nation. The German Association of Journalists called on the "Boulevard media" to stop the 'campaigneering', arguing that Bild has crossed the line into political campaign by urging readers to pose with their “Nein” poster ahead of tomorrow’s Bundestag vote. The DJV added (in a translation published in The Guardian,) that "it is ethically questionable to vilify a whole nation for the fiscal mistakes of their politicians."

Will it make a difference? For now the Bild campaign seems to be achieving its intended goal in the process once again making a mockery of the European "Union"

Greece Suffers Biggest Bank Run In History: January Deposits Plunge To 2005 Levels

As Germany's Bundestag voted to ratify the extension to the Greek bailout, one of the biggest question marks surrounding the Greek negotiation and ultimately, bailout extension, was just how panicked was the Greek population and domestic corporations. Recall that as explained previously, the tension boiled down to this: the Troika did everything in its power to accelerate the bank run in order to crush any negotiating leverage Varoufakis may have; Greece on the other hand was desperate to make its cash drain appear far better than rumored.

Moments ago the Bank of Greece presented its latest, January, deposit data. And it's a doozy: following a record €12.2 billion monthly outflow, greater in absolute and relative terms than anything experienced during any of the previous Greek crises and bailouts, the total amount of Greek corporate and household deposits has now tumbled to just €148 billion, down 7.7% from the month before, and down 10% since November. This number is in line with some of the more pessimistic expectations, and brings the total cash holdings at Greek banks to the lowest level since August 2005.

A Eurozone Nation Reports Record Poverty Levels

Middle class Greeks are living in squalour and scavenging for food because of Euro zone austerity measures thanks to EU imposed austerity measures

I suppose I could say 'I told you so', although it would not be strictly true in the context of this blog because it didn't exist when the European Single Currency System (Euro) was launched. But I was telling anyone who was paying attention, via my newspaper column in a local publication that the Euro could not possibly work.

To be more specific, it is not only the economic structure but the culture of the north European nations that makes them economically incompatlible with the Mediterranean lands. The south is still largely agrarian and food production is based on small, independent farms. In some respects this is a better way of producing food, it is more labour intensive, thus providing work for people, and more environmentally friendly.

As far as the collectivist left are concerned however, it is hopelessly inefficient, unscientific and reactionary. The left would rather put everybody out of work and trash all the fertile land in the name of science.

Unfotunately, in their relentless pursuit of a Federal Europe, the architects of the Euro wrote the rules to make sure 'the agenda was advanced by forcing the prosperous northern nations to subsidise the financial incontinence of the south. And now the inevitable conclusion has been reached.

For the last few years and especially the last few months, all eyes in the Euro zone watchers club have been focused on Greece. From record poverty rates to record suicide rates, reports of female doctors moonlighting as prostitutes to feed their families and levels of youth unemployment topping fifty per cent, post-election hopes for a phoenix-like rebirth of a nation from the flames of Brussels imposed economic repression were seemingly dashed on Friday when leaders of the Syriza government had to ask for an extension on their debt repayments.

Greece is not the only Euro zone nation suffering however. Another nation, that begins with the letter 'G' and that is at the heart of the EU-Greece talks is also reporting record poverty levels. Newsweek reports poverty in Germany is at its highest since the reunification of the country in 1990, with 12.5 million residents now classified as 'poor'.

Taxes, falling incomes and rising cost of essentials are to blame as the Germans try to bear the burden of supporting the basket case nations alone, France, The Netherlands and all the other prosperous Euro zone nations having been sucked into the financial black hole.

All things are relative of course and we suspect poor Germans are considerably better off than poor Greeks, but a twenty five per cent drop in family income is no easier to bear because we all tend to live according to our means and when filet steak is replaced by SPAM it is no easier to bear than when bean soup is replaced by dry bread.

Anyone who understood basic arithmetic (like how to work out an average) and took the trouble to examine the 'science' that backed the climate change scare would have quickly understood the whole thing was a fraud. And plenty of digigent, honest and respected scientists did understand that and were not afraid to say so. But those who went public faced hate attacks, personal smears and having their careers trashed. Now however, as evidence exposes the lies of the global warming lobby, they are starting to come forward.

Thousands To Make Legal Stand Againt UK Government Surveillance

On Monday, the human rights group Privacy International launched a campaign that will make it possible for people anywhere in the world to challenge covert spying operations involving Government Communications Headquarters(GCHQ), or the USA's National Security Agency.

In the few days since the launch, thousands of people have already signed up to join the unprecedented legal campaign against government mass surveillance programmes.

A historic court ruling earlier this month that deemed intelligence sharing between GCHQ and the NSA to have been unlawful because of the extreme secrecy shrouding it has made such a challenge to the two governments possible.

Members of the public now may now take part in a lawsuit against the spying in the Investigatory Powers Tribunal, the court that handles complaints in the UK about surveillance operations conducted by police and security agencies.

Anyone wanting to join the legal challenge to submit their name, email address and phone number through a this page on the Privacy International website. The group intends to lodge a case against GCHQ with the court that will seek to discover whether each participant's emails or phone calls have been illegally obtained by surveillance organisations in violation of the privacy and freedom of expression provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights and The Geneva Convention.

If it is established that any of the communications have been unlawfully collected, the court could force GCHQ to delete them from its vast repositories of intercepted data.

By Tuesday evening,(16 February) more than 10,000 people had signed up to the campaign, a spokesman for Privacy International said.

Among the information revealed in The Great Leaks of 2013 were the documents that first exposed the extent to which the USA's National Security Agency (NSA) and UK's surveillance operation GCHQ had been secretly 'monitoring' the SWIFT payments system and recording details of cash flowing between nations and organisations. It appears the revelation was the last straws for Russia, China, and other sovereign nations, spying had gone beyond what could be tolerated spying rigging of markets to maintain and dollar domination began to be seen as a series of hostile acts.

Last year (2014), following threats to remove Russia from SWIFT by the UK government, (which SWIFT rapidly distanced its 'independent-self' from), Russia (and China) announced plans to create its own de-dollarized version. In November, Russia detailed the SWIFT-alternative's launch date around May 2015, and just last month, Medvedev warned of "unlimited reaction" if Russia was cut off from the SWIFT payments system.

So the news that Russia has now launched its own 'SWIFT'-alternative, initially linking 91 credit institutions, suggests de-dollarization is considerably further along than was suspected even those of us determined to put into the public domain a degree truth of what is happening expected (especially as Russia dumps US Treasuries at a record pace). I say a degree of truth because independent bloggers and small groups of contrarians cannot hope to gather and publish news on the same scale as traditional broadcasters and publisher. That you will learn nothing of this story and many like it in mainstream media is the perfect illustration of why senior journalist Peter Oborne resigned from The Daily Telegraph recently.

We have covered de - dolarization, the move led by Russia, China and Iran to dump the US Dollar (Petrodollar) as the global reserve currency throughout this omnibus page, and the growing pushback against US economic bullying from smaller nations of the recently formed G77 group, but even out determined efforts have until now not managed to find how rapidly the world is turning away from US domination. Sputnik News reports:

Almost 91 domestic credit institutions have been incorporated into the new Russian financial system, the analogous of SWIFT, an international banking network.

The new service, will allow Russian banks to communicate seamlessly through the Central Bank of Russia.

It should be noted that Russia's Central Bank initiated the development of the country's own messaging system in response to repeated threats voiced by Moscow's Western partners to disconnect Russia from SWIFT.

Joining the global interbank system in 1989, Russia has become one of the most active users of SWIFT globally, sending hundreds of thousands of messages per day. In general, SWIFT provides a secure communication network for more than ten thousands of financial institutions around the world, approving transactions of trillions of US dollars.

Earlier this month Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov expressed confidence that Russia would not be disconnected from SWIFT. In her turn, Russian Central Bank First Deputy Chair Ksenia Yudaeva called upon Russian civilians and financial institutions not to dramatize the current situation.

Russian experts point to the fact that Western businesses would face severe losses if they expelled Russia from the international SWIFT system. On the other hand, the alternative system launched by Russia might reduce the negative impacts caused by measures imposed by the West, including possible disconnection from SWIFT, and diminish Western financial dominance over Russia.

SWIFT (The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) is a Belgium-based international organization that provides services and a standardized environment for global banking communicating that allows financial institutions to send and receive messages about their transactions.
Obviously any such system must be able to guarantee the absolute privacy of data, no organisation can tolerate a situation in which its rivals may be able to obtain details of transactions and other trade secrets. The USA faces crises on several fronts, most of these are of its own making and its foreign affairs difficulties are a direct result of Washington's contempt for international law and the sovereignty of other nations.

As Migrants Pour Into Italy ISIS Say: Overrun Europe with Immigrants and "Turn it into Hell’

It is well reported that western intervention in Libya, for the purpose of overthrowing Gaddafi resulted in the North African nation going from the most prosperous and modern nation in Africa to a lawless failed state in the space of three years. Now we learn that ISIS aka Islamic State, the terrorist army that plans to establish a caliphate, has gained a hold on the country. And it gets worse ...

An ISIS report obtained by Libyan media in January, reveals that the Islamic State are planning to use Libya "to get to Europe," and overrun it with illegal migrants to "turn it into hell." According to the report, ISIS considers "illegal immigration" to be a privileged channel of access to the Old Continent.

This of course is due to lax rules established by the elitists and out of touch rulers of the EU, unelected bureaucrats whose grip on reality is made tenuous by the insanity of politically correct insanity with which they have all been indoctrinated during higher education.

Libya has become a huge assembly point for Africans fleeing poverty, civil war, political corruption and hunger in that continents many failed states, desperate to get to Italy and claim refugee status, before taking advantage of the lack of border controls and heading deeper into Europe. Italy, drowning in debt and teetering on the edge of defaulting on its obligations, fears the wave of immigrants landing on its shores, will plunge the country into chaos and civil conflict.

Even prior to last Saturday’s murder of 21 Coptic Christians in Egypt by terrorists who crossed from Libya, warning signs that Libya was becoming the latest and deadliest outpost of the Islamic State were apparent. Libya’s institutional vacuum due to the failure to establish a ruling authority following the overthrow of Gaddafi by US, UK and French military forces (the FUKUS axis) has created an ideal environment for terrorists.

Former Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan has said the Islamic State will control a territory on the Mediterranean coast "within two months" if the West does not intervene.

Thousands of people have been arriving in Libya in recent months, having been offered the prospect of getting out of North Africa. They are now crammed into refugee camps, creating a situation of chaos. In such a situation it is easy for terrorists trained to shoot or bomb to merge into the crowds.

According to one report, analysts now believe that the risk of a major terror attack on Italian territory is more concrete than ever before. The hypothesis considered most likely is that a mass exodus of at least two hundred thousand foreigners has crowded onto barges bound for Europe.

*The picture (top) may be posed, we do not know, but the people on the boat look clean and happy. There have been cases however of such boats being towed by small fishing vessels having been cut free when Italian coastguards were sighted, so that the human traffickers might try to escape arrest.

Nineteen Eighty-Four: Sweden's Ministry of Truth to ‘Gender-Adjust' History Books

the Swedish school system was traditionally one of the best in the world. Recently however it seems to be in a tail spin that will bring it to rest next to the Baltic Anomaly, the strange Millennium Falcon shaped thing that rests on the seabed.

The probem is the education system has been taken over by the left wing lunatics of The Politically Correct Thought Police. After last September's election which returned the left to power, new education minister Gustav Fridolin made a solemn vow to the voters that he would fix the Swedish schools in his first 100 days in office.

Those 100 days are now passed, and he failed miserably.

But he doesn't want to talk about that, because now he believes that he has found the key issue that is to blame for all of Sweden's educational problems: There are not enough female historical figures in the school books! Yes! It is the endless parade of kings, male inventors and social leaders that are corrupting the poor childrens' brains and making them drop like rocks in the annual PISA rankings!

Now, of course historical figures like the Swedish equivalents of Boudicca, Queen Elizabeth 1, Joan of Arc, Catherine The Great, Marie Curie, and so on should get their well-earned place in history. But since society has been a largely male-dominated setup since men first stood erect, there happen to be more males in the ranks of people who have done noteworthy things, leading armies, writing Hamlet, taking up pitchforks and cudgels against tyranny and generally getting themselves noticed (and killed) than women.

Go back to Joan of Arc, who challenged the norm and the male stereotyp and got burned at the stake for the trouble. Stuff like that kind of discourages others from making waves.

So, even if every person in the book got the exact same allotted amount of text, the males would still come out ahead because we are testosterone driven. Think of little David challenging Goliath to "come and have a go if you think you're hard enough."

Or, as history should deal with facts, think of the men at Rourke's drift. Historical facts are kind of troublesome that way, they're full of men, because girls, dickheads that we are, we've always been willing to take the bullet (or arrow or spear) for you. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Fortunately, the truth is not an issue for a determined politician. So education Gauleiter Fridolin summoned representatives from the leading publishers of school books to his office, where he made it clear that future books will be "gender balanced”. Erik the Red will be Erica who is having the monthlies, King Rollo will be reinvented as Queen Rowena, Alfred Nobel will become Annafried and Bjorn Borg will become Bjork.

The education department is the primary customer of text book publishers, so the salesmen were bending over backwards to accommodate Fridolin's bold new vision.

"The gender issue is very important and we want to establish a productive dialogue with the National Agency for Education about this!” quipped Åsa Steholt, CEO of publishing house Gleerup after the meeting.

What strikes me as odd however is that the politically motivated rewriting of history is usually associated with very different forms of government than the liberal democracy Sweden's deluded socialists think they preside over.
