Is this the beginning of the British revolution?

According to Metropolitan Police, an estimated 110,000 people were in Whitehall for the "Unite the Kingdon" event - so probably 500,000 people at least? Robinson claims it was 'millions.' Watch this video shot from a helicopter and make up your own mind.

Thouands of people jammed Whitehall and Parliament Square (Picture: Daily Mail)

Clashes erupt between police and protesters at the "Unite the Kingdom' march on Saturday

just as crowded at the other end of Whitehall and all around Trafalgar Square

Flags could be seen far and wide, including St. George's Cross, the Union Flag, the Scottish saltire and the Welsh dragon. Others carried wooden crosses with "Christ" written on them while singing Christian songs. Recent demonstrations under St George’s Cross reveal a country questioning who it is and who it wants to be. Some claim they are defending free speech, others are concerned that judges are usurping the role of elected representatives.

During his time on stage, Elon Musk told the crowd: "I want Britain to remain Britain. I think that has there’s something beautiful about being British. And what I see happening is a destruction of Britain, initially a slow erosion, but a rapidly increasing erosion of Britain, with massive uncontrolled migration."

When we see people of all ages and both sexes demonstrating under St George’s Cross and the Union flag, and when local residents hang flags on lampposts, motorway bridges and road signs, as has become a thing over the past few weeks as protests against thousands of illegal immigrants asylum seekers being accommodated at taxpayers expense in luxury hotels, it is a sign of something momentous as many prople feel the government has declared war on the people..

This combination of English and British flags is full of meaning, syhttps://edbutt.blogspot.com/2025/07/epping-residents-clash-with-police-and.htmluskmbolising respectively the culture of the country and the sovereignty of the state – both over the past two decades have come  under threat.

Usually, displaying the flag signals loyalty. Today, it has become a sign of discontent. When local authorities remove our national flags because they are deemed “dangerous”, the point is emphatically underlined. “We are the people of England, and we have not spoken yet”, warned the writer GK Chesterton in 1908.

Some of our rulers would like it to remain that way. Others, more in touch with the mood of the country perhaps, fear we could be heading for civil conflict.

Flags have not usually inspired in England the emotion they hold in some other countries. We use them on shopping bags, underwear and cushion covers. We shrug if angry foreigners burn them. This is partly because we have many other national symbols, most obviously the monarchy.

Musk also blamed the government for what is known in England as the grooming gang scandal—the large-scale systematic exploitation and rape of white working class girls by gangs of Pakistani heritage—which occurred over a period of two decades or so under previous administrations.

The grooming gangs scandal and immigrant linked sex crime has been a key campaigning issue for Robinson for the last decade.

Police said the Robinson crowd was too big to fit into Whitehall and confrontation happened when police tried to stop them from accessing the area from different routes. Aerial photos show Whitehall, a wide thoroughfar, packed with protestors from Parliament Square to Charing Cross. The road away from Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, over Westminster Bridge was also blocked blocked by marchers

A spokesman said: “When officers moved in to stop them, they faced unacceptable violence. They were assaulted with kicks and punches. Bottles, flares and other projectiles were thrown. Nine arrests have been made so far for various offences, but many more people have been identified as committing offences.”

News video shows little evidence of this beyond a few minor scuffles in stark contrast to the Black Lives Matter protests a few years ago when what the police described as mostly peaceful demonstrations saw hundreds of arrests and many injuries..

Tommy Robinson (born Stephen Yexley - Lennon,) has been politically active in the UK for years, initially rising to fame as co-founder of the English Defence League (EDL) in 2009. The EDL and Robinson himself were often accused of being far-right, and of espousing fascist views—something which Robinson has always denied.

He severed ties with the organization in 2013, and it has since become defunct.

The main focus of his campaigns in the past have been critical of Islam, but more recently they have shifted to issues of free speech.

Robinson has frequently stated he believes he has been unfairly targeted by the British authorities for his political views and has denied allegations of racism.

A minute silence for George Floyd but not for Charlie Kirk?

EP Plenary session - formal sitting - Address by Maia SANDU, President of the Republic of Moldova
The EU European Parliament (picture: europa.eu )

The Conservative group in the European Union's parliament formally requested a  minute's silence for members to reflect on the assassination of American free speech campaigner Charlie Kirk, but their requests were rejected by the European Parliament's top brass.

Left-wing European lawmakers on Thursday refused to observe a moment of reflection for Charlie Kirk, the U.S. conservative activist shot dead during a college debate event in Utah on Wednesday, triggering a heated confrontation in the chamber in Strasbourg and leading to accusations of political bias.

Swedish MEP Charlie Weimers, of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group, had emailed European Parliament President Roberta Metsola to propose a minute of silence for Kirk, describing the gesture as symbolic and aimed at defending “our right to freedom of speech.”

However in keping with the EU bureaucrats state of denial about Euopean politics shift to the right since the Floyd incident, the request was rejected, with her spokesperson citing a bureaucratic rule that minutes of silence can only be declared at the opening of a plenary session, and as this session had started on Monday, he would have to wait until the next sitting in October.

Weimers was instead allowed to make a point of order before the voting session began. He opened by urging MEPs to “strongly condemn political violence and rhetoric that incites violence” and asked colleagues to “stand with me in a reflection of prayer in his honor.” When he tried to yield the remainder of his time for a silent tribute, the session’s chair, Katarina Barley of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D), cut him off.

“We have discussed this, and you know the president said no to a minute of silence,” Barley said as conservative MEPs banged their desks and shouted in protest. Centrist and left-wing members applauded and whistled at Barley’s intervention.

Hungarian MEP András László accused Barley of deliberately breaking the tribute: “The socialist chair deliberately started talking immediately.”

László then reminded the assembly that a few years ago the socialist group which has the majority in the EU parliament  had honoured the career criminal and drug addict George Floyd, but now was refusing to do the same for Kirk.
In solidarity, some members began posting "I am Charlie" online, a reference to the phrase popularised after the 2015 Charlie Hebdo attacks.
Weimers later said in a social media video: “I wanted to honor the memory of conservative activist Charlie Kirk by yielding my time for a moment of reflection prayer. Unfortunately, the Social Democratic deputy speaker did not want to have that.”
He captioned the clip: “How does holding a minute of silence for George Floyd but denying one for Charlie Kirk make sense?”
The poisonous bile that has spilled forth on the WWW via the various channels, including the MSM has shocked many, the unbridled joy these creatures express is beyond the previously accepted “rough and tumble” of political discourse- it now appears that if you do not agree with the Woke vision of the World, a bullet is your reward with praise heaped on the perpetrator, maybe a GoFundMe page to cover legal costs and various mayors stating that the crime was acceptable because the perpetrator was disadvantaged, upset, living in a Sanctuary City, mix any of the DEI preferred positions- whatever, it will turn out that any victim of the Woke murderous intent to shut down free speech always had it coming.

Why The Assassination Of Charlie Kirk Matters To Us All

 by Ian R Thorpe, 12 September 2025

One becomes accustomed to seeing graphic reports of violence in the USA, particularly in Democrat - run cities so because I generally skim past any headlines in my news fed from US Christian Conservative or 'woke' left news sites. Thus when news of the murder of Charlie Kirk started to come in it did not attract my attention. American news is loaded with stories of violent death, especially in the past week with the fatal stabbing of a Ukranian refugee in Charlotte, which was studiously ignored by mainstream media until the noise on alt_news and the blogosphere forced the propaganda industry to report on case almost three weeks after the event.

To be honest the name Charlie Kirk only stirred in me a vague feeling that the assassain's victim had been someone significant. I now know of course that Charlie, an internet influencer, had become a hugely significant figure in American politics, despite never having been elected to a Federal or State Senate or Congress. He was one of the most successful internet influencers on the right of the political spectrum, and widely respected even by many opponents, mainly for his civil style of debating and willingness to listen to all opposing opinions.

We can only hope that Kirk's death will serve as an alarm to those who so far have drifted along assuming that the people who govern us and the people who would like to govern us will some how blunder through whatever crises face the world while the lives of ordinary citizens go smoothly on, unaffected by war, sectarianism, terrorism, political extremism and the civil disorder that is fermenting just below the suface of society in the USA, UK, France, Germany and most of the liberal democracies.

Nick Freitas, a Christian commentator on Charlie Kirk's death, has ably discerned the profound difference between 'conservatives' and the left, between the 'progressives and the broad right consensus. It is much deeper than our common political differences and exchanges - it is a radical difference in world views.

The American website Counterpunch (www.counterpunch.org) has several articles, none of which are flattering but which expand on tht point. Here is an extract from one:

"If we are going to be truthful in this moment, the hate that Kirk put out came back on him. The killing of Charlie Kirk fits within this arena of speech that is racist and hate-filled, but is designed to pose as rational and logical political speech. In his rhetoric and so-called debate style this 31-year-old evangelical firebrand of the right has stated that Black pilots were incompetent, Gays should be stoned, ironically he was opposed to gun control, abortion, LGBTQ rights, criticized the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Martin Luther King Jr., promoted Christian nationalism, advanced COVID-19 misinformation, made false claims of electoral fraud in 2020, and is a proponent of the Great Replacement conspiracy theory."

There is no doubt his murder was wrong, but from the above and orther items read to inform myself, it is easy to see how he could have pissed off a lot of people. But nothing I have read either written by him or of him by non partisan authors suggests he was racist or hate filled while the words published in counterpunch certainly suggest that publication's contributors are filled with hatred of anybody who does not share their opinions. And society has been so deeply divided and pushed so far to the extremes that respectful dialogue between goups which hold different opinions no longer seems possible.

In April this year, Charlie Kirk said — correctly as it turns out — on social media: "Assassination culture is spreading on the left. Forty-eight percent of liberals say it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk. Fifty-five percent said the same about Donald Trump. The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback, whether losing an election or losing a court case, justifies a maximally violent response."

Eurokleptocrats Risk Provoking Russia Even More

During a review address to that waste of space known as the E U Parliament,  EUEuropean Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed  sequestering Russian assets illegally frozen in the EU to finance a “reparations loan” for Ukraine. Delivering a 'state of the \european Union'  address to the EU parliament on Wednesday, the former German defense minister stopped short of outright confiscation of the Russian assets, reportedly comprising some $300 billion.

Moscow was not impressed however, having been thoroughly pissed of by the posturing of EU leaders as they try to find ways to fund and supply the already defeated Armed Forces Of Ukraine in an effort to keep the war going, has condemned the asset freeze and warned that seizure would amount to “robbery” and violate international law, while also backfiring on the West.

Von der Leyen introduced what she said was an urgently needed new mechanism to finance Kiev’s warchest, using Russia’s immobilized funds. It is way beyond time the NATO allies ceased their support for the Banderist (i.e. neo - Nazi) government in Kiev as the only thing achieved by prolonging the war instead of settling on the terms Russia offered in 2022 is hat it enabled the slaughter of young men and women on both sides to continue for another three years insted of ending after three months.

Western nations ordered the freezing of the assets – some €200 billion of which is held by privately owned Brussels-based clearinghouse Euroclear – after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. The funds have accrued billions in interest, and the West has explored ways to use the revenue to finance Ukraine so that the (highy profitable for the Military Industrial Complex) slaughter may continue and perhaps even escalate beyond Ukraine's borders.

”With the cash balances associated to these Russian assets, we can provide Ukraine with a reparations loan,” von der Leyen claimed, noting that “the assets themselves will not be touched” and that the risk would have to be “carried collectively.”

“Ukraine will only pay back the loan once Russia pays for the reparations,” she said. The money, von der Leyen added, would fund Kiev’s military and ensure the security of the civilian population. Well there is as much chance of Rusia (the winning side,) paying reparations to the gangster regime in Kiev as there is of a one - legged dwarf winning the Olympic 100 metres sprint.

Von der Leyen gave no figures, while the G7 last year backed a plan to provide Kiev with $50 billion in loans to be repaid using the profits. The EU pledged $21 billion."

Von der Leyen, who thinks free speech is an infectious disease, also hinted that the increasingly authoritarian EU Commidsion (unelected bureaucrats,) plan to erase the inconvenient need for a a consensus of nations to act, instead Brussels will just act - without its members consensus. This is quite possbly a reaction to the ongoing political shift towards centre right nationalism among the larger member states. It may also be intended as a way to move obstacles to EU expansion beyond continental Europe's natural boundaries.

"The European Commission will announce plans to scrap consensus-based decision-making in EU foreign policy, a step that could sideline member states resisting Brussels’ line," von der Leyen told the EU

Brussels has long weighed replacing unanimity – a founding principle of EU foreign policy – with majority voting, arguing the change would speed up decisions and stop individual states from blocking measures such as sanctions and military aid for Ukraine. Under the current system, all 27 members must agree for decisions to pass. The proposed reform would require a qualified majority (QM), meaning decisions would be adopted if backed by a set threshold of states. Under QM a member state's vote is based on population, thus a few larhe population nations would always be able to dominate policy making decisions

In her ‘state of the union’ address on Wednesday, Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen said it was time to “break free from the shackles of unanimity,” and insisted that the bloc act “faster.” This is crealy a statement of intent, indicating that the unelected burecrats who control the EU will support frever war with Russia, while lining the pockets of themselves and their political cronies in the process.

Macrons France On The Brink As Block Everything Protestors Clash With Riot Police

Sourced fom France24 tv news, 11 September 2025

Riot Police clashed with 'Block Everything' protestors in cities across France today as an anti-government campaign of strikes and disruption swept the nation, aimed at forcing deeply unpopular president Emmanuel Macron to resign and call a general election.

More than 250 people were arrested by midday on Wednesday (10 September,), many of them around the Gare du Nord Eurostar hub in Paris.Riot control squads used tear gas as they fought runningbattles with mobs.

Group of activists blocked different sections of the Paris ring road, while secondary schools and bus stations also had barricades placed in front of them. In Lyon, officers used tear gas on around 100 demonstrators trying to bring rail traffic to a halt at the city’s Perrache station. The A10 motorway was briefly blocked near Poitiers in the centre of the country.

In the southern city of Montpellier, barricades were also erected in front of the city’s Paul Sabatier University.

The insurrection came less than 24-hours after President Emmanuel Macron appointed his seventh prime minister in less than nine years.

Sebastien Lecornu has pledged to do a better job than his immediate predecessor, Francois Bayrou, who was forced out by losing a self-imposed confidence vote in the French parliament. The anarchy that has followed is par for the course in France.

It seems however that the people of France simply do not believe him.

The protestors' rallying cry was “Block Everything”, and they are certainly trying. All across Paris, all across France, groups of young protesters who found one another through social media gathered at critical points of the nation’s roads and infrastructure, setting up makeshift barriers and putting their bodies in the way of traffic to protest years of austerity measures imposed by French President Emmanuel Macron and his successive globalist administrations. It is possible France's problems are part of an even bigger backlash against the globalist agenda which imposes policies such as 'open borders' and 'net zero.'

At each strategic point the protestors were met by rank upon rank of heavily armed and armoured police who drove them from the streets with clubs, tear gas and flash balls. Right-wing Minister for Interion Affairs, Bruno Retailleau, now on the way out after the fall of François Bayrou’s government on Monday had warned the nation’s prefectures that there were likely to be at least 100,000 protesters across the country. To match their numbers, he assured them, he would be mobilising some 80,000 law enforcement officials across France.

In Paris, the result was a day-long, shifting pursuit spanning swaths of the city. Police would break one blockade by force, scattering protesters into side streets who would then catch their breath, find their comrades and try again. Macron ‘doesn’t care about the French people’ At Porte de Bagnolet Marie, who holds a placard stating "Macron Does NotCare About The French People" is planning her next move.

The young professor says she came out with one aim in mind, to effect the fall of Prime Minister Lecornu and his government, before it’s even been put into place. “It’s important to take action right now,” she says, arguing that Macron’s decision to name long-time loyalist Sébastien Lecornu as France’s new prime minister last night showed that the president “didn’t care about the French people”.

“I think it's problematic to appoint someone from his own ranks, even before he has met with party leaders and the opposition, and seen what today's movement will bring,” she says. While the conservative-turned-centrist ally of Macron has promised a break from the policies of previous governments, critics of the decision say it sends a clear message that the struggling president will continue to push for the same policies that have already seen his last two appointments voted out of office. Lecornu’s appointment seems only to have strengthened the protesters’ resolve.

Throughout the day, messages hurtle back and forth in the Telegram groups that have been crucial to the movement’s momentum. Though there are echoes of the apolitical Yellow Vests movement a few years ago, Block Everything is more definitely a left leaning movement though more anarchic and nationalistic than the US Democrat, UK Labour Party or German SDP.

At Porte de Montreuil on the eastern edge of Paris a phalanx of riot shield-bearing police cordon off the block and  demonstrators begin to trickle north to Tenon Hospital, where healthcare workers have gone on strike to protest what they describe as chronic under-funding. The atmosphere here is joyous, and calmer; union reps and local left-wing politicians speak to the packed crowd before opening the mic to all comers. A brass band launches into a raucous cover of Rage Against the Machine’s "Killing in the Name Of", to wild applause.

Nicolas, a striking lab technician at the hospital, says that working conditions in public hospitals continue to deteriorate. “We’re changing prime ministers, but will this new prime minister be able to do any better? I don’t think so,” he says. “We’ve grown too used to budget cuts and bed closures. Today, behind each caregiver there’s a man or a woman at the end of their rope, who can’t take it anymore. Public hospitals have become an enormous psycho-social risk for the people who work there.”

After watching rolling news broadcasts of yesterday's and today's protests and getting a sense of the anger among French voters at the globalist government which has shown repeatedly that its priority is advancing the agenda of the World Economic Forum and is blind and deaf to the feelings of French citizens who see their culture being erased and their history rewritten, one is left with the feeling that M. Macron will not be president for much longer.
