The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant. - Maximilien Robespierre.

France's Week Of Riots Signal Failure Of Virtue Signalling Immigration Policies

The mass riots that rocked French society over the past week put the spotlight on the disaster of liberal mass immigration policies in the European democracies and the total failure by Western societies to assimilate the new arrivals welcomed through years of mass immigration, into the culture, traditions and laws of the host nation, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has claimed.

Speaking in the Hungarian parliament on,  Szijjártó said the violent scenes and the spectacle of burning cars and buildings witnessed across France must not be allowed to spread to other countries.

He added that the latest riots to rock France have vindicated those European countries, including Hungary, which advocate a stricter immigration policy.

Hungary is not the only EU nation pushing back against policies imposed by the ultra left EU ruling bureaucracy. Poland too has rejected the EU's immigrant quotas and Italy's government under Georgia Meloni is taking a strong line on immigrtion. Sweden is talking about cracking down on immigration but that’s definitely a country where the damage has already been done. They now have 60 'no go areas' controlled by Islamist gangs in that nation of 8 million people. France has been a warning to us all.

Trouble started after a 17-year-old boy of Algerian descent and with a long record of car theft, reckless driving and related crimes was shot last week  by police officers as he attempted to drive away from a routine traffic stop while two officers were pointing guns at him because he had refused to switch off the car engine and remove the ignition key. Reports in French news media reveal that the lad did not have a driving licence and was therefore uninsured and that the vehicle is a Mercedes Benz hire car registered in Poland and owned by a Polish car hire companies.

French authorities have not commented on wether the car was stolen, but it would be very difficult for an unemployed 17 year old who did not hold a valid driving licence to travel to Poland and hire a car.

The populations of France's numerous immigrant ghettos uniting in defence of a habitual criminal last wee last week, and the animosity displayed by the immigrant mobs to French law and French property have shown social integration on a mass scale to be unworkable.

“It is impossible to integrate large numbers of illegal immigrants from other cultures,” Szijjártó told colleagues in the chamber.

He added that the latest riots to rock France have vindicated those European countries, including Hungary, which advocate a stricter immigration policy.

In  the weeks leading up to the rioting the European Union's ruling bureaucracy has been trying to enforce the migration quota again in its latest bid to usurp the soverieign powers of member states. Foreign Minister Szijjártó, commenting on Hungary's refusal to accept this accused the European Commission of simply not being able to accept “that the Hungarian people exercised their sovereign right and made a decision regarding the future of Hungary that is contrary to the expectations of the liberal mainstream in Brussels.”

The Hungarian minister also warned that “parallel societies” have been created in many Western European nations with 'no go zones' for police and emergency services existing in most major cities that have large immigrant communities. This is the inevitable outcome of successive governments, in an orgy of virtue signalling as the elites, who don't have to live near the lawless ghettos, implementing migration policies that disregarded the interests of national communities in order to be seen helping the people of poor third world nations. Hungary's leader Viktor Orban recently claimed that “no tragedy is enough to make them come to their senses in Brussels,” citing the controversial EU Pact on Migration and Asylum currently being proposed in the de facto EU capital.

The immigration policy of the EU is clearly a complete disaster. Flooding mainly Christian countries with uneducated, semi literate incomers from countries with alternative views on women, blasphemy, social habits etc is never going to work.

It is too easy to dismiss comments like this as Islamophobia, but while it can be argued that Muslims are among the most hospitable people on earth, my 'special friend' Farida being an example of that welcoming nature, but  as in Christianity, there are those within the Muslim faith who take the Koran as literal truth, and appoint themselves as judge, jury and executioner of its teachings and these are the ones who resort to mob violence.

To talk of the small boats crossing busy sea lanes while overloaded with illegal migrants trafficked by organised crime networks as a negative thing is to invite accusations of racism but now we have all seen people similar to those who are coming here to be housed in hotels and army camps and barges at the taxpayers expense, showing their true colours. At some point our own immigration problem will be unsustainable (it is not far away now, look at how the police have lost control of the streets in our cities and large towns.. When will these young men (of fighting age), bored out of their minds with lots of time on their hands, no money worries and phones to organise their communities, decide it is time to rise against their host nation?

They will start making trouble at some point. Can you imagine how peaceful, sleepy British communities will respond to these violent, sex - stared young men who are not refugees or asylum seekers? Many of the latest wave of arrivals are Albanians and quite honestly should be shipped straight back to Albania which has neither war nor famine, just poverty. They cannot possibly qualify as refugees or asylum seekers and apply for visas and work permits like any American or Australian who wishes to come and work here.

The more pushback from EU countries about this the better. The EU needs to be relegated back to the status of a free trade club for European nations, serving the national interests of sovereign nations. The big to create a European superstate through 'ever closer integration' (both economic and political,) has failed as it was always doomed to. Trying to impose the will of the few bureaucrat puppets of the shadowy powers that be on the culturally and economically diverse nations of Europe can never succeed. The past two thousand years of history should teach even an arrogant bunch of bureaucrats that much

EU Power Grab Backed By France, Germany, Aims To End Member States Right To Veto Bureaucrats Policy Moves

Jingoistic Western Triumphalism Will Not End The War In Ukraine Or Cripple Putin, But It Is Crippling Western Nations
As the war in Ukraine grinds on and Russia steps up its economic war against the west and in particular The European Union, claims made recently by the idiotically 'woke' leaders of Europe's main economic and military powers that the West has a once-in-a–generation chance to severely weaken Russia’s capabilities, both militarily and geopolitically, look increasingly hollow. Putin's critics have cited 'Western unity' as one of the main reasons why Russia will be economically destroyed and politically humiliated when the Ukraine's military finally claim victory.

Putin, Macron To Hold Urgent Talks To Halt Military Escalation In Ukraine
Even though the leaders of Ukraine itself are talking down the threat of war with Russia over the breakaway region of Donbas, America and Britain are still beating the war drums and demonising Russian leader Vladimir Putin. British Government Laundered Fake U.S. 'Intelligence' On Ukraine
The British government on Saturday accused Russia of organizing a plot to install a pro-Moscow government in Ukraine, as the Kremlin masses troops near the Ukrainian border. The U.K. Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office gave relatively little information about the intelligence unveiled Saturday other than to say that the Russian government was considering trying to make a Russia-leaning former member of Ukraine’s parliament, Yevhen Murayev, the country’s new leader. Just over six years ago the nation's attention was focused on immigration, and particularly the 'Brexit' campaign's promise to 'Take Back Control' of our borders. Today the immigration issue is as predominant in many people's minds as news this morning revealed record numbers of migrants entered the country last year, while yesterday a record number of people were trying to make the hazardous crossing from France in small boats to enter the country illegally.

The Left is lying to itself, it needs limited migration as much as the Right does.

'France Has Fallen': Dramatic Footage Shows Social Unrest Spreading In Third Night

by Tyler Durden, Zero Hedge, Jun 30, 2023

Picture source: Le Monde / AFP
The police killing of a 17-year-old during a traffic stop on Tuesday has unleashed three consecutive days of social unrest across France. Bloomberg reports more than 600 people were arrested Thursday night into Friday, with a majority of them between the ages of 14 and 18. Rioters targeted municipal buildings, town halls, and libraries in various major cities, stores were looted, and all hell broke out nationwide as the government deployed 40,000 police officers yesterday afternoon to quell the violence. About 200 officers were injured overnight in the Paris suburb of Nanterre, where the teen was killed. The unrest is so bad that President Emmanuel Macron left an EU summit in Brussels, where he will hold another emergency security meeting Friday, AFP reported, citing his office ... The Controlled Demolition Of The Nation State

by J.B. Shurk via American Thinker, 30 June 2023

Generally speaking, central banks are empowered to control the supply of money by employing a number of tools that include buying government debt, selling government bonds, adjusting reserve requirements, and setting official interest rates.  Operating under various legal mandates to sustain an overall healthy economy, central banks ostensibly pursue policies that will produce relatively low inflation, steady economic growth, and low public unemployment.

What if these stated goals are merely talking points meant to justify a central bank's continued monopoly over a nation's creation of money, and the true objective of any central bank is to maximize wealth for the wealthiest economic players?  Central banks, after all, are usually institutionally independent from government interference.  They are private firms managed by the world's financial elite.  How might a central bank pursue a hidden agenda to grow the wealth of its friends at the public's expense?

The easiest and most effective way would be to create artificial "boom and bust" cycles during which economies greatly expand and then quickly shrink.  How does this work in practice?  ... Continue reading >>>

Obama's Farewell - The World Breathes A Sigh Of Relief

From my 'safe space' in Britain I was spared all but minimal exposure to the farewell speech of America's first black president, Brack Hussein Obama. The snippets I have read, heard or seen suggest it was every bit as self - aggrandising, vapid, cliche - ridden and divorced from reality as every other speech this poseur has made since 2008. No surprises there then, anyone who has seen Obama standing at the podium, mouth noiselessly flapping like a codfish on the deck of a trawler on occasions when his autocue has failed will know that the great orator, acclaimed by his sycophantic disciples for his intellect and soaring rhetoric, is a gibbering idiot when there is no electronic device feeding him words.

It hardly needs saying then that Obama's final speech as president, peppered liberally with strongly emphasised personal pronouns as per usual, was all about what a great president Barack Hussein Obama has been. No mention of course of the deeply divided, economically failing nation he will hand over to his successor, nor of the wars, those he has started and those he has failed to finish. Oh no, the boy  Barry is quite convinced the USA is a far better place now than it was when he was inaugurated.

A majority of Americans seem to differ however. Here's a masterful deconstruction of the farewell speech, , from David Harsanyi for The Federalist, in which the lies, delusions, arrogance and hubris of Barack Hussein Obama are exposed.

The Comforting Fictions Of Obama’s Farewell Speech

Last night the president cast himself as a resilient truth teller. The reality is quite different.

Watching Barack Obama’s speech at the 2008 DNC in Denver, I doubt I could have imagined the kind of turmoil his presidency would incite. Almost everything has changed in the subsequent years, and yet his farewell speech to the nation was brimming with the same kind of haughty lecturing we got back then.

Obama loves to conflate progressivism with patriotism, pitting the forces of decency and empathy — his own — against the self-serving profiteers and meddling reactionaries who stand in the way. All of it is swathed in phony optimism.

The president’s central case for government’s existence rests on the notion of the state being society’s moral center, engine of prosperity, and arbiter of fairness. This has never been normal. Obama speaks of government as a theocrat might of church—and his fans return the favor by treating him like a pope. This was true in 2008. And it’s true now. Just check out liberal Twitterdom.

There was much to process, and many policy claims to debunk, but for me the most grating aspect of the address were the broader fictions Obama likes to repeat.
“When Congress is dysfunctional,” Obama explained, “we should draw our districts to encourage politicians to cater to common sense and not rigid extremes.” For the president, a “dysfunctional” Congress means a Congress unwilling to pass progressive legislation. That is not the definition of dysfunctional, I’m afraid. Nor is it the definition of extreme.

There is nothing in the Constitution instructing legislators to acquiesce to the president. In the near future, the GOP Congress will be passing tons of legislation, and I can assure you neither Obama, nor his many fans in the media, will be celebrating the fact that Congress is finally “getting stuff done” or “doing its job.”

Progress will no longer be measured in the number of bills signed.

Why America Is So Desprerate For War With Russia: The Truth

The Demon the West would like to create - actually it's an illustration of 'Yog Sothoth' from H.P. Lovecraft's 'Necronomicon' (Image source)

Listen to European or American politicians and you might easily be led to believe western governments have been staunchly defending freedom and democracy against Russian and Chinese imperialism and Islamic extremism for decades. In the past few years western media have been engaged in a campaign to demonise Russia and it's leader, Vladimir Putin and portray the Russian government as an existential threat to us all. It is bollocks of course, the simple truth is the West owes Russia an enormous debt.

On top of that, the USA, the European Union, NATO and the United Nations owe Russia a big apology, and a welcome into Europe, of which Russia has always been an extremely important part, and in which it is very unjustly denied its rightful place there.

The nation that does not belong in Europe is the U.S.A, not in any way
whatsoever, especially since the U.S. is now a dictatorship. And yet we have Barack Hussein Obama, wannabe God - Emperor of the entire universe and everything else besides but in reality a failed president, telling Britain's sovereign Parliament that if it leaves the EU, he: HE who will not even be US President by the time we hold our planned in-our referendum, will punish our country economically.

(Anyone who still thinks the USA is not and sort of democracy should click onto that link and find out just how they have he’s been duped.

Why, for example does the US dominated anti-Russia military alliance, The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation still function, appoint officer and take a role in determining the outcome of civil conflicts (which violates the United Nations Charter) after the Soviet Union's Warsaw Pact disbanded in 1991 after the communist Soviet regime collapsed.

NATO is nothing but America’s anti-Russia military club,
against Russia and against any nation (such as Iraq,
or Libya,
or Syria) that supports Russia.

The USA and its main allies France and the UK (the FUKUS axis) overthrew Gadaffi in Libya because he supported Russia in the geopolitical theatre and particularly in Africa, where nations that resented the western powers stealing their resources were happy to let Russia and China buy influence. The west's interference in the domestic politics of African and middle eastern nations trigger the jihad and created the failed state mayhem that now exists in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Mali. We destroyed Libya and now, just as leader Colonel Gadaffi promised, the refugees from there are flooding into Europe, along with the refugees from our attacks to bring down Assad in Syria.

We overthrew (via
a bloody coup and
not an ‘democratically elected government’ as the West likes to claim
assert), deposing Yanukovych in Ukraine allegedly because he turned down the
EU’s offer to fast track Ukraine's membership after learning that the price-tag for Ukrainians would be $160 billion if Ukraine were to comply with the EU’s demands. But the U.S. was already
organizing the coup against him starting a year before the coup, and
nine months before Yanukovych turned down the EU’s offer
. So the establishment of a client government was the US / NATO goal long before Ukraine's revolution.

We are trying to overthrow Assad in Syria because
he has been a long time ally of Russia and had provided the Russian navy with it's only base on the Mediterranean.
.

This isn't bullying?

This is democracy?

What we are seeing is dictatorship: totalitarianism in the West, against Russia
and any other nation that isn't buckling to the US / UK financial aristocracy and its allied ruling elites in Europe, and (especially with the new bellicose nationalistic Abe government), also in Japan.

The picture broadcast by world politics is starting to look very ugly.

When we talk about leaving other countries and governments alone to solve their own problems, whatever they might be, because it is the people themselves who are ultimately responsible for what their governments do, rather than the prerogative of the USA and it's allies (particularly the UK and France) to interfere, whether covertly or overtly, we assert are being hypocritical.

American and European voters want to wrap themselves in the warm blanket of righteousness and turn a blind eye to the injustices, the atrocities, committed in our name. The case is however that the buck stops with not with the American or French president, the British Prime Minister or the German Chancellor; regardless of the propaganda bullshit pumped out by government spin doctors. If we have a dictatorship (an elected dictatorship, because we have allowed the means to hold politicians accountable to be taken from us, it's our own responsibility to throw it off. If we don't, if we don't even try, we're responsible for its actions.

It is the abdication of our responsibilities by 'We The People' that has led to this dangerous situation in which the USA, amoral, illiberal and catastrophically divided after the equally disastrous Presidencies of George W Bush and Barack Obama, has failed in its self appointed guardian of world peace and instead become the warmonger general. US Politicians cannot be expected to shoulder the blame alone however, while no longer superpowers, Britain, France and Germany could have exercised a restraining influence. Because, as UK Labour Party finance spokesman John McDonnell said in a television interview (BBC Andrew Marr show, 22 November, 2015) we are not just fighting Islamic state on the ground in Syria and Iraq, they have another army and that is already in the streets of west European and North American cities.
