The Kerfuffle In Qatar Could Turn Into Something Much Nastier

It started round about last weekend I guess, Saudi Arabia and its allies in the Arab world, chiefly the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kuwait and Oman suddenly broke of diplomatic relations with the tine but wealthy oil state on the coast of the Persian Gulf. Not only did they break off relations, they closed their posts and airspace to ships trading with Qatar and ships heading to and from its posts. The official reason was that Qatar supports terrorism.

This is really a case of the shit calling the camel smelly as there is no greater sponsor of terrorism than Saudi Arabia, with the exception perhaps of the USA. And The Muslim Brotherhood, those preserver of ancient arts like recreational beheading, honour killings, vaginal mutilation and stoning or flogging women who let a wisp of hair escape from their hijab, are very active in all those countries and when they controlled the government in Egypt a few years ago they implemented a policy of nailing Christians, Jews, atheists and people who were the wrong sort of Muslims to the poles that carry power and telephone lines so that they could work on their tans.

There has been much speculation about the real cause of this ganging up on Qatar, mostly it centres on that country's shift from supporting the idea of a pipeline through Syria to the Mediterranean coast to one that would run through Jordan and Lebanon.

The Saudis Demand Total Surrender But Qatar Will Not Fold

Many people believe that Qatar will soon give in to recent Saudi demands and threats. I first though so too but have changed my opinion. Qatar will likely hold out way longer than anyone assumes and fight more intensive and much longer than foreseen.

The Saudi "young leader" has now given Qatar 24 hours to submit to 10 demands. These include (unconfirmed) the dismantling of Al Jazeera, breaking off of all diplomatic relations with Iran and (the Israeli demand of) ending all support for the Muslim Brotherhood and especially Hamas. The Saudis threaten with a military invasion.

But Qatar is not like Bahrain where 1,000 Saudi troops could easily take over to save a dictator from a mostly unarmed uprising of its people. It has way more resources and capable allies on its side and recent news shows that it knows how to use them.

Two days ago we extensively described the complex conflict between Qatar and some of its neighbors that has recently been escalating. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are the main forces on one side, joined yesterday by Donald Trump but not by the Pentagon. On the other side is Qatar, geographically isolated and seemingly without any real allies even though it hosts a very large U.S. command center and air-base.

The conflict has been simmering for years. Qatar has a strong media arm with Al Jazeera TV and other prominent news outlets. Qatar and its media support the political Islam of the Muslim Brotherhood which won elections in Egypt before being kicked out in a Saudi financed military coup. The ruling Turkish AK Party is a Muslim Brotherhood branch as is Hamas in Palestine. Muslim Brotherhood parties have thereby proven that it's possible to have an Islam(ist) aligned government without a hereditary dictatorship. Their pure existence de-legitimates the al-Saud clan and other dictatorial family enterprises in the wider Middle East.

There is little reason to waste tears on Qatar. It is a small country with only 200,000 original inhabitants but with 2,000,000 expatriates living there too. Thanks to its large natural gas reserves Qatar is ultra rich and has a very modern (but also vulnerable) infrastructure. The country is way more liberal than Saudi Arabia. Its cities are somewhat cosmopolitan.

Unlike in Saudi Arabia women are allowed to drive and other religions than Islam can build their places of worship. But the rulers of Qatar officially follow the same ultraconservative and proselytizing Wahhabi cult as the al-Sauds. They support terrorists of the worst kind in the war against the Syrian people and elsewhere (just as the al-Sauds do).

Crooked Hillary Caught In Criminal Activity Again

In a move that could have major repercussions, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, (R-Iowa,) has opened a new investigation into Hillary Clinton and allegations that the former secretary of state meddled in a Bangladeshi domestic politics to help a Clinton Foundation donor.

‘This new evidence of 'pay-to-play' influence paddling and special treatment for donors reinforces the appearance that donations to the Clinton Foundation resulted in favorable treatment by Secretary Clinton’s State Department,’ Grassley said.

The Daily Caller first reported Grassley’s move after publishing a piece in May saying that Clinton had sent top U.S. diplomats to pressure Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheik Hasina, and her son Sajeeb Wazed, as the country investigated Clinton friend Muhammad Yunus for corruption.

On being inaugurated as president Trump, along with his appointees at the State Department and Department of Justice showed little interest in reopening investigations of Clinton’s extra curricular activities while she was serving as Secretary of State, or the multiple persistent allegations of “pay-to-play” deals which peddled influence to foreign nationals, or other evidence of corruption involving the Clinton Foundation. Until now.

The Daily Caller News Group exclusively reported in May that Clinton ordered U.S. diplomats to pressure Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheik Hasina and her son Sajeeb Wazed in an effort to kill that country’s corruption investigation of Yunus and Grameen Bank. Yunus was then managing director of the state-owned Bangladesh bank.

In a June 1, 2017, letter to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Grassley repeated TheDCNF charge that Clinton threatened Wazed with an IRS tax audit if his mother did not back away from the corruption probe. Wazed has lived in the U.S. for 17 years.

Yunus, who led the country’s Grameen Bank and whose microfinance concept won him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006, was accused of overcharging customers and ‘sucking blood from the poor.’

Latest Terror Attack In London - How Much Longer Must We Tolerate Intolerance

In the latest Muslim extremist attack to hit a major western city, least seven people died and up to 48 were injured after a terrorist weaponised vehicle attack on late night revellers close to London Bridge in the UK capital. Police says a white van moving at around 50 mph drove into pedestrians in the busy streets before three men armed with knives leaped out and going on a stabbing spree in pubs and pavement cafes in the popular Borough Market area.

The attackers were shot and killed by armed police officers within 8 minutes of the alarm being raised, London Metropolitan police reported.

In addition to the terrorists shot by police, 12 people have been arrested in connection with the attack, following police raids at addresses in Barking, east London.

Eyewitnesses said the three assailants were driving over London Bridge in a Hertz rental van, when they accelerated to “about 50mph,” according to Holly Jones, a BBC journalist who was with friends close to the scene.

“We thought it was a car accident but as we got closer we could see a lot of blood and bodies. There was a pregnant woman on the right who was severely injured and on the left there was a man being resuscitated, but he started breathing. We don’t know whether the woman survived,” one witness told the Guardian.

Another witness identified as Eric Siguenza told a BBC news crew that three men “jumped out of the van and that’s when they started attacking people on the road.”

“As they headed down the stairs, as they were running towards the people, they were shouting, ‘This is for Allah,’” he said.

They were just yards from Borough Market, a popular nightspot. It was just after 10pm, minutes after the Champions League Final wrapped up in Cardiff, and the streets were full of revelers.

Other witnesses, talking to TV and radio reporters said the violence occurred in full view of hundreds of onlookers.

“I saw a man in red with quite a large blade, I don’t know the measurement, I guess maybe 10 inches. He was stabbing a man… he stabbed him about three times fairly calmly,” an eyewitness, who identified himself as Ben, told a Daily Telegraph reporter. “It looked like the man had maybe been trying to intervene but there wasn’t much that he could do, he was being stabbed quite coldly and he slumped to the ground.”

“They stabbed this girl maybe 10 times, 15 times. She was going, ‘Help me, help me,’” a witness named Gerard told the BBC, saying that he lobbed a bottle at the assailants to try to scare them off.

Many sought refuge in the cafes in the market square. But safety was temporary, as the attackers went inside the cafes, stabbing indiscriminately.

“He stabbed her in the neck,” Elsbeth Smedley told CNN, recounting an attack on a waitress. “He stabbed another man in the back, and then he ran out of the restaurant.”

Police said that they received the first call about the attack at 10:08pm. US Democrats Shamelessly Admit To Rigging Primaries For Hillary Clinton

Even without what we learned from Wikileaks it was obvious the Democrat National Comittee (DNC) rigged their primaries process to ensure former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton became the party's 2016 presidential candidate. Supporters of her rival Bernie Sanders and Democratic donors have sued the DNC alleging it defrauded its constituents.

During the primaries, the system was not only stacked in favor of Clinton, there was actual electoral fraud during the counting of votes. The DNC chair at the time a Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was castigated for trying to make the Democratic Party presidential debates as few and low-key as possible, knowing that Clinton is a poor debater and Sanders would excoriate her. Wasserman - Schultz was later forced to step down when she was blamed for misdemeanours that should have landed Clinton in trouble.

Regardless of Sanders’ victories during the primaries and caucuses, superdelegates (appointed by Democratic parties in the states) lined up behind Hillary, guaranteeing Sanders’ defeat, even without the enormous voter fraud in California (reported elsewhere on this blog). Defeat by Sanders in California would have demolished Clinton's credibility as a candidate, so thousands of Sanders supporters throughout the state were removed from the voters' register.

Internal DNC emails leaked by the late Seth Rich, the campaign worker who was murdered in very suspicious circumstances shortly after being identified as the main suspect for leaks the Clinton campaign and the Democrat National Committee have consistently tried to blame on Russia, only confirmed allegations of the DNC’s rigged primary system, underscoring deep-rooted corruption in the party.

The trove of DNC emails made public by WikiLeaks revealed top officials within the Democratic National Committee privately conspiring to undermine and antagonize Sanders’ campaign, ultimately resulting in Wasserman-Schultz quitting her post in July 2016. Until now however Democratic Party managers have not commented on the alleged vote rigging in the primaries. Now however, senior figures in the party are openly admitting that yes, Bernie Sanders was cheated out of the nomination.

Wasserman-Schultz rescinded a ban on donations from lobbyists and PACs when Sanders emerged as a viable challenger to Clinton in late 2015.

The rule change paved the way for the establishment of the Hillary Victory Fund, which Politico uncovered was laundering money to the Clinton campaign under the claims of fundraising for state Democratic parties. The Clinton campaign would have been outpaced by the Sanders campaign in fundraising if it were not for the rule change.

Current DNC Chairman and former Secretary of Labor Tom Perez, while campaigning to become the DNC chairman, even admitted in February that the Democratic Party primaries were rigged in favor of Clinton.
The class-action lawsuit, Wilding et al v DNC Services Corporation and Deborah “Debbie” Wasserman-Schultz, alleges the DNC violated its own rules on neutrality, presenting itself as a neutral political organization while it elevated Hillary Clinton during the 2016 Democratic Party presidential nominating elections.

During an April 25 hearing, the DNC argued the case should be dismissed. Judge William J. Zloch, a Reagan-appointed senior federal judge for the United States District Court serving the Southern District of Florida, heard oral arguments pertaining to the DNC’s Motion to Dismiss request on April 28.
DNC lawyers justified the party’s right to select candidates through “back-room” deals and tip the scale for the establishment’s preferred primary candidate.

Trump Announces US To Quit The Paris Climate Accord

Fulfilling another campaign pledge, US President Donald Trump yesterday announced the U.S. would withdraw from the Paris climate pact and that he will work to renegotiate the international agreement in a way that treats American workers better.

"So we are getting out, but we will start to negotiate and we will see if we can make a deal, and if we can, that’s great. And if we can’t, that’s fine," Trump said Thursday, citing terms that he says benefit China’s economy at the expense of the U.S.

"In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord, but begin negotiations to re-enter either the Paris accord or really an entirely new transaction on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses" and its taxpayers, Trump said.

As Bloomberg reports, Trump’s announcement, delivered to cabinet members, supporters and conservative activists in the White House Rose Garden, spurns pleas from corporate executives, world leaders and even Pope Francis who warned the move imperils a global fight against climate change.

While his critics are wailing and gnashing their teeth about the claims of climate scientists that disastrous global warming is taking place and is caused by carbon dioxide emissions from human activity, mostly the burning of fossil fuels, (the science is settled on this apparently), there has now been no increase in global mean temeratures for the last twenty years and while empirical evidence shows temperatures have cooled slightly, the 'settled science' relies completely on evidence from mathematical models of the climate.)

As we noted earlier, we can expect supporters of the academic and political establishment to begin its mourning and fearmongering of the disaster about to befall the world. If you recall their previous forecasts of doom however, that snow would be a thing of the past and the north pole sea ice would have disappeared by 2010, and that polar bears would be extinct and rapidly rising sea levels would have created 50 million refugees displaced from their homes by inundation by 2012, none have in fact been proved correct. The science may be settled but it's wrong.

Pulling out means the U.S. joins Russia, Iran, North Korea and a string of Third World countries in not putting the agreement into action. Just two countries are not in the deal at all - one of them war-torn Syria, the other Nicaragua. Many of the counties supporting the accord (which liberal pundits have taken to calling a 'treaty' although it was never such,) are poor, third world nations that stand to benefit from pledges of financial help to fight the effects of this non existent warming.

The Hill notes that many Republicans in the US Congress are likely to support pulling out of the Paris deal - 20 leading Senate Republicans, including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) asked Trump to do just that last week. Withdrawing from Paris will also please business groups sceptical of the climate change scare, which they feel is part of a push by United Nations bureaucrats to create a world government and have organised opposition to the pact.

“Without any impact on global temperatures, Paris is the open door for egregious regulation, cronyism, and government spending that would be disastrous for the American economy as it is proving to be for those in Europe,” said Nick Loris, a fellow at the Heritage Foundation.

"It is time for the U.S. to say ‘au revoir’ to the Paris agreement,” he said.

Trump wants his presidency to be about jobs and his decision to be viewed as an economic win for the United States.

While in Taormina, Italy, for the G7 summit last week, President Trump made it clear that terrorism topped his agenda. European leaders however, pressed him on climate change and the environment.

French President and former Goldman Sachs office boy Emmanuel Macron worked on Trump during lunch Thursday, urging the U.S. president not to ditch the 196-nation Paris Agreement on climate change before getting on a plane to Sicily, Italy. We should remind ourselves that when Al Gore started the global warming scare and proposed a system of carbon credits to control use of fossil fuels, Goldman Sachs announced plans to create a $1trillion a year market for trading carbon credits.

“My wish is that the United States takes no hurried decision,” Macron said Thursday after meeting with Trump in Brussels. Trump has remained true to his election promise to put America first, while Macron, ahead of the French parliamentary elections, after which he must put together a ruling coalition, has signalled that his presidency will serve big business, big money and the globalist ambitions of crooks and liars like George Soros, Elon Musk and Bill Gates.

Soros: The European Union Is Now In An "Existential Crisis" And Trump's America Is A "Hostile Power"

Speaking about the state of the European project in the wake of Brexit and the continuing advance of nationalism in EU member states, billionaire globalist George Soros warned the European Union has plunged into an existential crisis as a result of "dysfunctional" institutions and undemocratic decisions imposed on members, and will require the bloc to reinvent itself to survive.

Addressing the Brussels Economic Forum, the financier and notorious meddler in politics said the EU had "lost its momentum" and urged policymakers to abandon the push towards "ever closer union" which has been driven by a top-down approach from Brussels and a Franco - German accord which has been detrimental to smaller member states. His statement is likely to provoke a backlash from Germany, which has most to gain from futher political and economic integration, being already the dominant economic power in the bloc.

"The European Union is now in an existential crisis," Soros told the audience. "Most Europeans of my generation were supporters of further integration. Subsequent generations came to regard the EU as an enemy that deprives them of a secure and promising future."

Just a day after Brussels published a paper mapping out its vision of eurozone integration, Mr Soros warned that the single currency area had become "the exact opposite of what was originally intended" according to the Telegraph.

According to a CNBC report, Soros said "Europe's reinvention would have to revive the support that the European Union used to enjoy." The reinvention would have to consider past mistakes and to understand what went wrong, and make proposals to make things right, he added.

Soros, who is said by many to have been instumental in engineering Europe's immigration crisis, praised a German proposal to reduce EU payments aimed at reducing income inequalities for countries that defy Brussels diktat. Hungary and Poland, both net recipients of these 'cohesion funds', have been criticized by the EU Commission for their refusal to accept bureaucratically imposed immigant quotas.

The billionaire also had some harsh words for the high handed treatement by the bureaucrats of the EU on southern and eastern European nations which have been crippled economically by membership of the single currency (the Euro). "By imposing an austerity policy they made it practically impossible for the debtor countries to grow out of their debts. The net result was neither voluntary nor equal."

He also said loss of trust in the EU has led to support for anti-European political parties, explaining: "Now we need a collaborative effort that combines the top-down approach of the EU institutions with the bottom-up movements that are necessary to engage the electorate, instead of a “multi-speed” Europe we should aim for a “multi-track” Europe that would allow member states a wider variety of choices. This would have a far-reaching beneficial effect."

He urged the bloc to focus on three key areas - dealing with the refugee crisis, Brexit and "the lack of an economic growth strategy".

Predictably, the man who was behind the movement that sent 1 million allegedly Syrian refugees (but mostltly African and Asian economic migrants,) to Germany in the past 2 years, Soros said Europe needs to overcome the current existential crisis by fighting together against the rise of anti-European sentiment, xenophobic feelings and surrounding hostile powers.

“Externally the EU is now surrounded by hostile powers: Putin’s Russia, Erdogan’s Turkey, Sisi’s Egypt and the America that Trump would like to create but can’t,” Soros said.

He called for a rewriting of European treaties to make the EU work for all members rather than just Germany and the development of a "multitrack" bloc where countries would retain more sovereignty when it comes to decisions on integration, migrant policy and setting interest rates.

Attack Near Western Embassies In Afghanistan; 90 Dead, Hundreds Injured

A huge suicide bomb ripped through a secure area of Kabul at the height of the Wednesday morning rush hour, killing at least 90 people and wounding 400, Afghan officials said.

The blast, a few days into the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, was one of the deadliest to hit the capital in recent years. It serves as a warning that we can expect more such atrocities this month.

The explosion was in the diplomatic quarter near the German Embassy and the Afghan presidential palace. The streets were packed with government workers, shoppers and children going to school, and the blast appears likely to have caused a high civilian death toll.

The bomb was concealed in a water delivery truck and detonated at 8:22 a.m. outside the offices of a cellphone company and a popular TV station, at a location about 400 yards from the German Embassy in one of the busiest parts of town, near big supermarkets and shops.

The Taliban denied responsibility for the attack in a statement. No group has yet claimed it however we know (and this blog has reported) that ISIS have been trying to gain a foothold in Aghanistan.

Wall Street Journal reporter Jessica Donati, in Kabul, giving an eye witness account of the event, said the explosion happened close to Western embassies, government institutions and the residences of high-ranking officials and their families. It's the most fortified part of the city, which can be reached only by passing through several checkpoints.

The BBC confirmed that driver Mohammed Nazir, a member of their staff in Afghanistan for four years and father of a young family, died in the blast. Four BBC journalists were injured, but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

At least 11 US citizens assigned to the US embassy as contractors were injured in the blast in Kabul, according to the US State Department.

German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said the attack was in the "immediate vicinity" of its embassy.
"The attack was aimed at civilians and those who are in Afghanistan to work with the people there for a better future of the country," Gabriel said. He said embassy officials had been injured but that "all employees are safe." An Afghan security officer protecting the embassy area was killed, he said.

German Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Adebahr said the Kabul embassy would remain closed until further notice and that local staff were receiving medical care. A flight that was supposed to leave Berlin for Kabul on Wednesday carrying deported migrants has been canceled, the German Interior Ministry said.

The body of Federal Prosecutor Beranton Whisenant was found on a Florida beach on Friday 26 May. Whisenant had been investigating DNC voter fraud. The lawyer was not simply investigating the DNC voter fraud in Florida. He was also in charge investigating other crimes the state authorities, particularly the Democrats would rather pretend don’t exist: illegal immigrant trafficking, passport and visa fraud.

Police said Whisenant, 37, died of head trauma probably caused by a gunshot, the Miami-Herald reported. Whisenant’s body was found in the water near Magnolia Terrance on Hollywood Beach Wednesday but police were unable to say where, exactly, he died.

“The investigation is at an early stage,” Hollywood, Fla. Police Department spokeswoman Miranda Grossman told the Herald. “All I can confirm is that It is him.”

The circumstances surrounding his death were still being investigated, though the Herald noted that if his death was in some way related to a case he was pursuing, the FBI and district attorney’s offices would be much more involved. Instead, the FBI referred all questions to Hollywood police.

No arrests have yet been made. Should investigators find Whisenant was the victim of some sort of foul play (WTF, a well dressed professional man found dead on a beach with a bullet in his head? Why would anybody suspect foul play?) he would join a list of only about 10 prosecutors who have been killed in modern history.

“This type of person is not out on the street at 2 a.m. confronting people who are intoxicated, armed and violent,” Scott Burns, executive director of the National District Attorneys Association, told KXAS-TV when assistant district attorney Mark Hasse was killed in Texas. This time however, nobody is commenting on the bizarre circumstances of the death. But then nobody commented on the case of the Democrat campaign worker Seth Rich, officially the victim of a street mugging, who was found with a wallet full of cash, and expensive watch and jewellery still on his corpse. Or of the numerous other people associated with the Democratic Party who have died in mysterious circumstances, stretching all the way back to the 1980s when a Clinton aide, Vince Foster, was found to have committed suicide by shooting himself in the head TWICE!

Acting U.S. Attorney Benjamin Greenberg issued an official statement regarding Whisenant's death.

“The U.S. Attorney’s Office family was deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Beranton’s death,” said Greenberg. “He was a great lawyer and wonderful colleagues and we will miss him deeply. Our thoughts are with Beranton’s family and friends.”

The mainstream media is already doing their part to cover-up any potential wrong-doing in this case. The Miami Herald has suggested that if the death was a crime or “retaliatory” than authorities would be more aggressive. As we already said: a well dressed professional man found dead on a beach with a bullet in his head? Why would anybody suspect foul play FFS?
