Teachers were threatened or removed if they tried to intervene in the indoctrination of their students, and the students themselves were blocked from advancement if they resisted, even being taught to betray their own parents if those parents tried to instill some moderation.

Editor's note: I remember my dear old Dad, a journalist with the Manchester Evening News, News Chronicle and Daily Express discussing the Israel / Pelestine problems. He'd been stationed out there in WW2, and in mid sixties he'd tell anyone who would listen there will never be peace in that area. The hatreds and conflicts have been festering since before people started to record factual history. Qatar Balks At Saudi Ultimatum That Would Force It To Surrender Sovereignty

Immediately after Saudi Arabia and its Gulf State client shiekdoms released an ultimatum containing 13 demands to which Qatar must agree as a precondition for the resumption of diplomatic ties and an end of the Saudi economic and naval blockade, the tiny kingdom on the Persian Gulf described the ultimatum as neither "reasonable" nor "realistic", and claimed it woul infringe on Qatar's sovereignty. 

“This list of demands confirms what Qatar has said from the beginning – the illegal blockade has nothing to do with combating terrorism, it is about limiting Qatar’s sovereignty, and outsourcing our foreign policy” said  Sheikh Saif Al Thani, of Qatar’s official communications office, according to Bloomberg.

The full list contained demands  such as reducing Qatar's diplomatic representation in Iran, cancelling theTurkish military base being established there (Turkey has already balked at the threat), severing ties with terrorist organizations, shutting down Al Jazeera and all affiliated channels, and so on. The demands are explicitly aimed at dismantling Qatar's two-decade-old interventionist foreign policy, which has reflected the clout generated by its vast natural gas and oil wealth but incensed conservative Arab peers over its alleged support for extremist groups they regard as threats to their dynastic rule.

Al Thani dismissed the demands and said the list is "under review", but only “out of respect for our brothers in Kuwait” whose emissary delivered the Saudi demands on Friday (22 June). Al Thani said that the demands do not meet the US and UK criteria for “reasonable and realistic measures.”

Meanwhile Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said it will soon issue an official response, one which we doubt Saudi Arabia will like as the bid/ask in the early stage of the negotiations is being established. 

“The State of Qatar is currently studying this paper, the demands contained therein and the foundations on which they were based, in order to prepare an appropriate response,” the ministry told Channel News Asia.

On Friday, Qatar's news outlet Al Jazeera responded to Saudi demands that it be shut down as part of the "renormalization" process. “We in the network believe that any call for closing down Al Jazeera is nothing but an attempt to silence the freedom of expression in the region and to suppress people's right to information,” Al Jazeera said in a statement.

“By accepting those demands and conditions Qatar will be subject to international accountability and violating its commitments regarding human rights conventions,” Qatar's National Human Rights Committee said in a statement cited by Reuters.

Meanwhile, a senior United Arab Emirates official told Reuters what would happen if Qatar refused to comply with the Arab ultimatum, saying there would be a "parting of ways."

"The alternative is not escalation, the alternative is parting of ways, because it is very difficult for us to maintain a collective grouping," UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash told reporters.

Gargash urged Qatar to meet the demands. “It would be wiser that [Qatar] deal seriously with the demands and concerns of the neighbors or a divorce will take place,” Anwar Gargash said on Twitter in Arabic, adding, that “the crisis is profound.”

In other words, another attempt at a backdoor deal orchestrated by Saudi Arabia failed because someone leaked something, only this time it didn't involve Trump being a KGB secret agent.

Gargash said that if Qatar fails to comply within the 10-day timeline set out in the ultimatum, it will be isolated. But he did not make clear what more could be done since the four Arab nations have already cut diplomatic relations with Doha and severed most commercial ties.

Despite verbal assurances that there will be no further escalation, Qatar is preparing for the worst, as two contingents of Turkish troops with columns of armored vehicles have arrived in Doha since the worst crisis among Gulf Arab states for years erupted on June 5.

The uncompromising positions adopted by both sides leave little prospect for a quick end to the crisis. The sanctions have disrupted Qatar's main import routes by land from Saudi Arabia and by sea from big container ships docked in the United Arab Emirates. But Qatar so far has avoided economic collapse by quickly finding alternative channels (mainly through Iran which made the saudis even more pissed off) and says its huge financial reserves will meet any challenges.

The Kerfuffle In Qatar Could Turn Into Something Much Nastier

It started round about last weekend I guess, Saudi Arabia and its allies in the Arab world, chiefly the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kuwait and Oman suddenly broke of diplomatic relations with the tine but wealthy oil state on the coast of the Persian Gulf. Not only did they break off relations, they closed their posts and airspace to ships trading with Qatar and ships heading to and from its posts. The official reason was that Qatar supports terrorism.

This is really a case of the shit calling the camel smelly as there is no greater sponsor of terrorism than Saudi Arabia, with the exception perhaps of the USA. And The Muslim Brotherhood, those preserver of ancient arts like recreational beheading, honour killings, vaginal mutilation and stoning or flogging women who let a wisp of hair escape from their hijab, are very active in all those countries and when they controlled the government in Egypt a few years ago they implemented a policy of nailing Christians, Jews, atheists and people who were the wrong sort of Muslims to the poles that carry power and telephone lines so that they could work on their tans.

There has been much speculation about the real cause of this ganging up on Qatar, mostly it centres on that country's shift from supporting the idea of a pipeline through Syria to the Mediterranean coast to one that would run through Jordan and Lebanon.

The Saudis Demand Total Surrender But Qatar Will Not Fold

Many people believe that Qatar will soon give in to recent Saudi demands and threats. I first though so too but have changed my opinion. Qatar will likely hold out way longer than anyone assumes and fight more intensive and much longer than foreseen.

The Saudi "young leader" has now given Qatar 24 hours to submit to 10 demands. These include (unconfirmed) the dismantling of Al Jazeera, breaking off of all diplomatic relations with Iran and (the Israeli demand of) ending all support for the Muslim Brotherhood and especially Hamas. The Saudis threaten with a military invasion.

But Qatar is not like Bahrain where 1,000 Saudi troops could easily take over to save a dictator from a mostly unarmed uprising of its people. It has way more resources and capable allies on its side and recent news shows that it knows how to use them.

Two days ago we extensively described the complex conflict between Qatar and some of its neighbors that has recently been escalating. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are the main forces on one side, joined yesterday by Donald Trump but not by the Pentagon. On the other side is Qatar, geographically isolated and seemingly without any real allies even though it hosts a very large U.S. command center and air-base.

The conflict has been simmering for years. Qatar has a strong media arm with Al Jazeera TV and other prominent news outlets. Qatar and its media support the political Islam of the Muslim Brotherhood which won elections in Egypt before being kicked out in a Saudi financed military coup. The ruling Turkish AK Party is a Muslim Brotherhood branch as is Hamas in Palestine. Muslim Brotherhood parties have thereby proven that it's possible to have an Islam(ist) aligned government without a hereditary dictatorship. Their pure existence de-legitimates the al-Saud clan and other dictatorial family enterprises in the wider Middle East.

There is little reason to waste tears on Qatar. It is a small country with only 200,000 original inhabitants but with 2,000,000 expatriates living there too. Thanks to its large natural gas reserves Qatar is ultra rich and has a very modern (but also vulnerable) infrastructure. The country is way more liberal than Saudi Arabia. Its cities are somewhat cosmopolitan.

Unlike in Saudi Arabia women are allowed to drive and other religions than Islam can build their places of worship. But the rulers of Qatar officially follow the same ultraconservative and proselytizing Wahhabi cult as the al-Sauds. They support terrorists of the worst kind in the war against the Syrian people and elsewhere (just as the al-Sauds do).

Saudi Arabia Threatens To Liquidate Its Treasury Holdings If Congress Probes Its Role In Sept 11 Attacks

An excellent insight into the west's relationship with the medieval mindset of Wahhabi Muslim autocracies. Why do we let the primistive mindset of these oil rich vagina mutilators dictate to us. Maybe it is because the USA has not, for atound a century been a democracy because it was hijacked by oligarchs during World War One and Saudi Arabia is not an ancient monarchy like britain but was created by an opportunist religious nut after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. And that's nor all the two nations have in common. Both like to achieve their political aims by the use of threats and terror.

Anyway, here's Tyler Durden of Zero Hedge on how, once again, the Saudi government is calling the Obama Administration to heel.

Back in January, when the market was watching in shocked silence as oil prices were crashing to decade lows and as concerns emerged that Saudi Arabia may need to commence selling its vast, if unquantified, USD reserves, we wrote a post titled "Attention Finally Turns To Saudi Arabia's "Secret" US Treasury Holdings" where we noted something very surprising: whereas we do know that Saudi Arabia is the owner of the world's third largest USD reserves ... their actual composition remains as a secret, because while the US discloses the explicit Treasury holdings of all other nations, Saudi Arabia's holdings, for some unknown reason, are not officially disclosed.

"It’s a secret of the vast U.S. Treasury market, a holdover from an age of oil shortages and mighty petrodollars," Bloomberg wrote of Saudi Arabia’s US Treasury holdings.



"As a matter of policy, the Treasury has never disclosed the holdings of Saudi Arabia, long a key ally in the volatile Middle East, and instead groups it with 14 other mostly OPEC nations including Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Nigeria,” Bloomberg goes on to note, adding that the rules are different for almost everyone else. Although Saudi Arabia's "secret" is protected by "an unusual blackout by the U.S. Treasury Department," for more than a hundred other countries, from China to the Vatican, the Treasury provides a detailed breakdown of how much U.S. debt each holds."



So who does know how much US paper the Saudis are sitting on? Well, the Saudis of course,"a handful of Treasury officials," and some bureaucrats at the Fed, Bloomberg says, noting that “for everyone else, it’s a guessing game."



Yes, a “guessing game,” but one that will very soon have profound consequences for markets and for geopolitics.



We closed with a simple, if suddenly very prophetic question:



"who would be the new patron saint of the US Treasury Department in the event the Saudis drawdown all of their reserves and decide to diversify away from USD assets... Put differently, who will monetize the US deficit if relations between Washington and Riyadh hit the skids over Iran?"



It is this question that has suddenly reemerged with a bang, and could rock the US administration to its core as what until recently was a "fringe conspiracy theory" is suddenly exposed as an all too unpleasant fact, and becomes the biggest political scandal to rock the U.S. in years, in the process maybe even crushing the friendly diplomatic relations the U.S. has held for years with its biggest Mid-East ally, Saudi Arabia.

It may be pure coincidence of course that the Saudi Arabian treasury has deciced to put pressure on Washington in this way when of the topic of September 11 has reappeared in the news recent weeks. The taboo - in official circles - topic of whether there was a "Saudi connection" in the biggest terrorist attack on US soil (Yes there was). Last weekend, out of the blue, the 60 Minutes news review broadcast an item on the "28 pages" that were classified beyond top secret in the Congressional investigative report into 9/11 - pages that allegedly confirm the Saudi connection.

A report in the New York Times earlier this week revealed Saudi Arabia has told the Obama administration and members of Congress it will sell off hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of American assets held by the kingdom if Congress passes a bill that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible in American courts for any role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Saudi officials have always denied that the global beheading capital had anything to do with the Sept. 11 attacks, and the 9/11 Commission officially found "no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded the operation." But critics have noted that the commission’s narrow wording left open the possibility that less senior officials or parts of the Saudi government could have played a role or were selected to take the hit if Saudi involvement was confirmed.

Suspicions have lingered, not just because the conclusions of a 2002 congressional inquiry into the attacks cited evidence that Saudi officials living in the United States at the time had a hand in the plot. Just this week an independent invastigator claimed evidence existed of the detonation of three thermonuclear devices at the site (That is an unofficial report by the way, this publication mentions it as evidence of continuing doubts, we do not endorse it.)

The information contained in those 28 pages removed from the report, still has not been released publicly. It was the surprising rekindled focus on these 28 pages in recent days that suggested that something may have been afoot.

I can understand that the hand wringing, breast beating, emotionally needy, brain dead twunts who are constantly screaming and shouting about "Yooman rights" have the sale level of intelligence as a housebrick, but it's still hard to swallow the fact that these idiots believe human rights are something only non Europeans, gays, lesbians. retards and selected religious nuts (but not Christians), should have, and that when a person who self - identifies as a member of one of these moronities a demand something, then it must be treated as an 'inalieable' human right.


It is entirely consistent with this view then that I am fully behind the sensible Germans calling for the resignation of the
stupid, ugly, addle brain cowBundestag member who is gleefully predicting white Germans will be a minority in twenty years.  That the genocide of ethnic Germans is high on this blonde German woman's wish list only demonstrates how profoundly stupid left wing ideology makes people. Worse, she is so ignorant as to believe that people from various parts of Africa, Asia, India and Pakistan, the middle east and the orient are of one race. Thousands Flood The Streets In Germany As Fury Over Refugee Sex Assaults Reaches Boiling Point

Over the past week, more information has been coming to light about the wave of violence and sexual assaults that occurred across Europe on New Year’s Eve.

What mostly news reports in English speaking countries (including our early posts) initially believed was isolated riot by newly arrived migrants in Cologne’s city center now appears not to have been confined to the German city but was a bloc-wide phenomenon as women in Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, France, Italy, The Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia have come forward to report being molested by what police have eventually admitted were gangs of drunken Mid-East asylum seekers.

"In Sweden, police said at least 15 young women reported being groped by groups of men on New Year's Eve in the city of Kalmar,” AP reports, adding that “in Finland, police said they received tipoffs on New Year's Eve that about 1,000 predominantly Iraqi asylum seekers were intending to gather near the main railway station in Helsinki and harass passing women."

Similar stories are being reported all around Europe.

"Women's groups and many politicians have long been arguing that Germany's sexual assault law is archaic, with loopholes that mean groping and surprise attacks are not necessarily prosecutable unless the woman tries to fight off the attack - which police often advise against," Deutsche Welle notes.

"There have been very many cases that you and I would probably unequivocally describe as rape or sexual assault that haven't come to a conviction, because the women allegedly didn't defend themselves enough," Elke Ferner of the Social Democratic Party's women's group told the broadcaster.

We have taken the view that Europe's ruling elites have betrayed the people of their own nations for the sake of sucking up to that terrorist loving piece of slime in The White House and the globalist financiers ( e.g. George Soros) he serves. The Latest news bulletins from Germany appear to bear out our view. BBC News reports German police have used water cannon and tear gas to disperse people protesting against the German government's failure to act against a tide of immigrant crimes against German citizens that has been gathering momentum throughout the past year.

The protestors have been quick to point out that while they were peacefully protesting when this treatment was handed out, on New Year's Eve police stood by and did nothing as German women were being raped and mauled by immigrant males. So again it seems the German authorities actions can only inflame the situation more.

And again, we see a deeply divided society, with citizens concerned for the freedom and safety of German citizens being branded as right wing extremists for staging a kind of "we told you so" rally and the pro-refugee, anti Europeran German authorities trying to suppress the opinions and curtail the civil liberties of those who complain about the wave of violence, sex crimes and anto social behaviour associated with the immigrants.

Meanwhile, the flow of asylum seekers continues unabated. "We had an average influx of 3,200 refugees per day arriving in Germany, and the numbers are not declining in the last days," Ole Schroeder, the deputy German minister, told a briefing in Brussels.

The United Islamic States Of America Plans To Send 100,000 Troops Into Syria

That rather alarming declaration comes from outspoken Iraqi lawmaker Hanan Al-Fatlawi. Not known for holding her tongue, the Shia MP inflamed sectarian tensions with her eye for an eye tirade in the summer of 2014, prompting Diana Moukalled, the Web Editor at the Lebanon-based Future Television to pen the following sharp rebuke:

No one will be safe from the worsening situation in Iraq; and many parties are guilty. now, Fatlawi contends that according to "information [she] has from inside the meeting," John McCain last month told PM Haider Al-Abadi that the US, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE are set to send in a total of 100,000 troops to Iraq. Here's a screenshot of Fatlawi's Facebook post:

As the article notes, that may sound far-fetched but it's not at all inconsistent with what Lindsey Graham (who joined McCain on the trip said in Iraq and what McCain himself said yesterday in the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing with Ash Carter.

From Graham last month: “Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey – they have regional armies and they would go into the fight if we put [the removal of] Assad on the table. Most of the fight will be done by the region. They will pay for this war."

From McCain on Wednesday: “A small component of American forces with international forces, which could be gathered and then go in and take out this caliphate. If we went in with a large Arab force, with Turks and Egyptians even … there’s 20,000 to 30,000 of them [ISIS fighters], they are not giants.”

Well guess what? The Turks are already there. They arrived with two dozen tanks near Mosul last Friday.

"I've personally reached out to 40 countries," Carter told the committee, which is ironic because that's the exact same number of countries Putin says are supporting ISIS.

As this blog has told you all along, Obama is not interested in beating ISIS, his only concern (apart from gay rights) is the removal of Assad so his Saudi allies can get their pipeline to Syria's Mediterranean coast.

German Intelligence Warns: Saudi Arabia Has "Destabilizing Role" In The Middle East

Saudi religious police have a jolly game of beheading with a man who criticized Islam in Saudi Arabia

Yesterday in posting about the San Bernadino mass shooting incident I highlighted the fact that while most Muslims in the west are ordinary people who just want to pursue their own goals of getting a bigger house, better car etc. without interfering with other people's lives, in many of the terrorist incidents over the past few years, the perpetrators had links with Saudi Arabia.

This was true of the San Bernadino two, the Paris attackers last month, the Charlie Hebdo shooters in Paris back in January this year, the London bombers of 2005, the Madrid bombers of 2004 and of course the 9/11 hijackers, to mention only few.

This blog, though we do not break stories, is hot on research and is is usually a few weeks, if not months ahead of the rest of the world in joining the dots until a picture emerges of what is really going on. In this case however it seems we were only 24 hours ahead of the pack. Which while a bit deflationary for our egos, is great news for people who rely on the blogosphere for information.

The Daily Telegraph reports:

Saudi Arabia is at risk of becoming a major sponsor of terror destabilizing influence in the Arab world, German intelligence has warned. OK, honour is restored, we were sating this a year ago.

Internal power struggles and the desire to emerge as the leading Arab power threaten to make the key Western ally a source of instability, according to the BND intelligence service.

“The current cautious diplomatic stance of senior members of the Saudi royal family will be replaced by an impulsive intervention policy,” a BND memo widely distributed to the German press reads.

Saudi Arabia has previously been accused of supplying arms and funding to jihadist groups fighting in Syria, including Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil).

To understand the threat posed by the Wahabbite Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in modern geopolitics, you must first note that the Wahabi sect is the most extreme version of fundamentalist Islam and the religion of choice for Saudi monarchs and their families. And then you need to understand the manoeuvres happening behind the scenes.

If Saudi Arabia was a secretive, medievalist monarchy before King Abdullah passed away, the succession has thrown up the first of a dynasty of rulers that will make their predecessors look like Little Sister Of The Poor by comparison. The problem with absolutist tyrannies is you can tell what kind of nutter is backstabbing his way to the front of the queue.

In the case of the Saudis, the current King, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is about 900 years old and was in poor health when he ascended to the throne, the dickhead who really wields power, the world domination nut who can hold the global economy to ranson by turning off the oil tap, is his son, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as “Reckless.”

Some say that Mohammed the Reckless is already the country's de facto ruler due to the King’s failing health. So as GoT fans understand there can only be two outcomes. Everybody dies, everybody and his best friend dies or or almost everybody dies.

Should Prince Reckless succeed in convincing people to remove the King and put the psychotic son in charge we are in big trouble. If a second scenario unfolds and the Empire King strikes back, there will be a brutal crack down on dissent which will delilitate the state further as its best minds are stoned or whipped to death, thrown off minarets or beheaded. This behavior will ultimately lead to the emergence of an unpredictable and unprecedentedly bloody tyranny because the only people left to run things will be nutters who will kill anybody that 'looks at them a bit funny, like', If you think the Middle East is insane now, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Prince Mohammed the Reckless is the real wildcard, and it appears German intelligence sees the writing on the wall. First, this report from the Wall Street Journal sums up the risks for the west. What can our leaders do about it?
