Trump Pulls USA Out Of Paris Agreement Again - Significant Move Or Grand Gesture

 

Among the flurry of Executive Orders signed only hours after raking control of the White House, for a second time, President Donald Trump ordered the withdrawal of the United States from the Paris Agreement for the second time. 

“I’m immediately withdrawing from the unfair one side Paris Climate Accord, rip off. The United States will not sabotage their own industries, while China pollutes with impunity,” Trump said. 

The international climate agreement, to use its formal title, which was ratified in 2015 aims to set a goal of limiting global heating to below 2 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels. Trump signed a letter notifying the United Nations of the U.S. departure from the treaty.

“In recent years, the United States has purported to join international agreements and initiatives that do not reflect our country’s values or our contributions to the pursuit of economic and environmental objectives,” the executive order reads. “Moreover, these agreements steer American taxpayer dollars to countries that do not require, or merit, financial assistance in the interests of the American people.”

 The main reason the climate change / net zero agenda will collapse aided by the likes of Trump is that it really isn’t about the climate and never was. Climate is a Political Agenda about control of wealth, resources and We The People. The climate is simply the excuse that most ordinary people who don’t follow politics closely accept because they think it is all about “science”.

The Climate Agenda called Agenda 30 or Sustainable Development Prijectis about reducing consumption and standard of living because the Commie UN/WEF say our lifestyles are “unsustainable”—-The tragedy is that our squirming eco socialist politicians agree with that and are setting about impoverishing us all and pretending to us that we are “saving the planet”. ——It is to hoped people see how cheap energy becomes because of Trump compared to ours and the EU’s and realise they are being played for fools. Even if we had invested the trillions needed to treble the renewable generating capacity (and double the Grid, to cope with it) we’d still be completely in the dark and cold without fossil fuels because when there is no wind, a million wind turbines could not generate a single watt of electricity.

This is the reality of 'Net Zero' and the reason why Trump, who can offer more business experience in the team off his piss that the whole UK, US, French and German political admiistrations could accumulate between them, understood his country had to pull out of the Paris agreement, which committed developed nation to decarbonisation of industry, busines and domestic energy use while allowing China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Brazil and other 'emerging economies' to continue growing thir economies by using unlimited amounts of so called fossil fuels.

It would be most welcome for us long suffering UK taxpayers if Mad Ed, Kweir Smarmer and the rest of the clown show cast could tell us what well thought out proposals they have for for dealing with this? But of course they do not have any. I absentia perhaps the government and their climate advisers could provide evidence of your previous successes at directing and managing projects – or indeed managing anything anything, or even having had a proper job would also be helpful.

Vive la Commune? The French Are Revolting again

It is just over 150 years, in the wake of their country's defeat in the Franco Prussian war of 1871, that French citizens raise the barricades and laid siege to central Paris. The uprising was short lived and its conclusion bloody but it changed French society. Previous instances of barricades being raised occurred in 1815 as the empire built by Napoleon Bonaparte disintegrated and many poorer people faced starvation, (if you've read any of Victor Hugo's multi - volume novel Les Miserables or seen a movie, TV dramatisation or the musical you've some idea of how that one turned out. 

In 1789 the Paris commune took over the city and were the municipal government until 1795. The French have a track record for the kind of thing that is going on now. This time however, the barricades are not old furniture and junk, they are formed of tractors, farm vehicles and piles of brown, smelly stuff usually found in abundance even on the best kept farms. Yes, far from petering out the French farmer's protests we reported last week seem to be escalation into a full scale rebellion against the globalist, neo - liberal government of Emmanuel Macron and his World Economic Forum bosses. 

As the well organised Farmers prepared to put into action their plan to besiege Paris and cut off supply routes delivering food to the city of approx 9 million people, the government revealed that it was in panic mode by calling in the military even at this early stage.

The farmers had announced they would begin an  “indefinite siege” of the capital today (Monday 29 January,) after staging widespread protests in provincial cities last week warning Parisians of a “black week ahead” amid an escalating dispute over pay, tax and regulations.

All major roads leading into Paris were to be “occupied” by agricultural workers as they sought to raise the pressure on President Emmanuel Macron’s government, farmers unions said.

FNSEA, the country’s largest farmer’s union, and the Young Farmers group warned of “an indefinite siege of the capital”.

The move followed after more than a week of nationwide protests by agricultural workers which saw motorways blocked by convoys of tractors.

The plan backs up threats to “starve” the city. Amid warnings the capital only has three days of food. tractors gridlocked major roads bringing traffic to a grinding halt around the city with stacks of hay bales also used to block carriageways as part of a bitter and long running dispute over  work conditions, imposition of unworkable EU net zero targets and what is perceived as a set of policies that attack agricultural workers' livelihoods. France is a major agricultural producer in the EU and a significant exporter of food. Lorries have been overturned and loads burned on main roads leading into the city centre.

Dissatisfaction has been building for almost two years as farmers anger simmered over incomes, red tape and environmental policies they say undermine their ability to compete with other non - EU countries. The problems in France run deep with the current wave of protests being a continuation of the 'Gilets Jaunes' (Yellow jackets,) protest movement which disrupted the country in 2018 - 19, only being stopped by the COVID pandemic.

As the siege progressed today Benoit Durand, a grain farmer, told French broadcaster BFM TV: “We are holding a siege in Chartres, one hour away from Paris. It’s part of the blockade... the goal is to put pressure on the government.””[Blockading Paris] will happen naturally. Parisians are going to be hungry. The goal is to starve Parisians. That’s it”.

Near Beauvais, north of Paris, dozens of tractors lined the highway in one of many such protests across the country. Armoured police vehicles were deployed to Rungis on Monday after some farmers threatened to “occupy” it. Over 8,000 tons of goods pass through its market every day to feed nearly 12 million people.

French Police Say "We're At War With Vermin" As Nationwide Riots Spread Like Wildfire

Social unrest continued to spread in the cities and large towns of France cities for a fourth consecutive night last night, with hundreds of buildings and vehicles set ablaze. President Emmanuel Macron's government struggled to contain the violence, which was sparked on Tuesday after a teenager was shot dead by a police officer.

Siobhan Robbins, reporting for UK's Sky news said "If I was to put money on it I would say that we're going to see another night of violence tonight," while covering a story of a on a gun store that was looted.

Videos posted on social media have shown residents of the city of Marseille bracing for another night of clashes as rioting started early (see to picture). Amateur videos circulating on Snapchat  featured business owners on one of the main shopping streets, Rue Saint-Ferréol,  boarding up their storefronts with large sheets of wood.

In one video a shop owner was pictured a drill to secure a large sheet of plywood to the front of his shop, while other businesses in the area - including a Dr Martens outlet - were also secured.

 

In an update on Saturday, France's Interior Ministry said 2,500 fires were reported overnight. Rioters set fire to 1,350 vehicles and 235 buildings nationwide. About 1,300 people were arrested, while the government mobilized 45,000 police officers with armored vehicles to quell the violence. 

According to The Telegraph, French police said they were "at war" with "savage hordes of vermin" on Friday night. The country's top police unions threatened revolt unless Macron's government restored law and order. 

"Today the police are in combat because we are at war. Tomorrow we will enter resistance and the government should be aware of this," police unions said.

The most concerning aspect of this latest outbreak of lawlessness and violence in France is that French police unions threaten to protest if the government refuses to clamp down hard on the rioting. France is now in a state of near anarchy with many middle and working class communities still unhappy about Presdent Macron's undemocratic reforms to the pension system which triggered rioting among the white working classes earlier this year. The latest outbreak was triggered by the shooting of a young man from the immigrant community as he tried to drive away from a routine traffic stop. French police said they were "at war" with "savage hordes of vermin," language which is hardly likely to help calm the situation. Right wing commentators in France described the riots as further decay and one step closer to societal collapse. It will be a long summer in Europe. France Braces Itself For Major Confrontation After Teen Driver Shot By Police

 

Social unrest erupted across France this week after an incident in which police short a teenage male driver during a routine traffic stop. As rioting spread the government was forced to deploy 40,000 police officers to quell the violence. The turmoil was sparked after police fatally shot a 17-year-old teenager of North African descent during a traffic stop.

The country has been on a knife edge since President Macron tried to bypass the national assembly and push through deeply unpopular pensions reforms early this year. And social unrest has been simmering since the 'Yellow Vests' protests against fuel price inflation and a soaring cost of living in 2018.

The police killing of the teenager occurred on Tuesday, captured on video, shocked the country, and has since unleashed riots across major cities. As President Emmanuel Macron fought to contain a mounting crisis on Thursday unrest erupted for a third day over the deadly police shooting of a teenager of Algerian and Moroccan descent during a traffic stop in a Paris suburb.

The epicenter of the unrest is around Nanterre, located on the western outskirts of Paris. A map of the unrest shows riots are occurring nationwide. On Wednesday night, chaos worsened, leading Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin to announce that 40,000 officers would be immediately deployed. He said:

"The professionals of disorder must go home. There will be a lot more police and gendarmes present tonight."

French President Emmanuel Macron held an emergency security meeting today about the violence. He said the "violence against police stations, schools, town halls, against the Republic, is unjustifiable." 

"The unrest across France, set off by the deadly police shooting of a teenager of North African descent during a traffic stop, has revived memories of riots in 2005 that gripped France for three weeks," The Independent said. 

In Nanterre, the working class town on the western outskirts of Paris where 17-year-old Nahel M. was shot dead on Tuesday, protesters torched cars, barricaded streets and hurled projectiles at police following a peaceful vigil.

Protesters scrawled "Vengeance for Nahel" across buildings and bus shelters.

Local authorities in Clamart, 8 km (5 miles) from central Paris, imposed a nighttime curfew until Monday.

Valerie Pecresse, who heads the greater Paris region, said all bus and tram services would be halted after 9 p.m. after some were set alight the previous night.

Protesters Rage In Paris Against "Health Passports"

Tens of thousands of people across several countries, including France, the UK, and Israel, have demonstrated against new anti-COVID restrictions, with the majority of the protests held in the Paris metropolitan area.

According to Reuters, in Paris and other French cities, more than 200,000 protesters flooded streets on Saturday, outraged about COVID-19 health passes. The passports were introduced as Europe is in the midst of the fourth wave of virus infections.

President Emmanuel Macron's latest measures have resulted in the third week of protests. The new passports are for fully vaccinated people, those who have natural immunity, and or test negative for the virus within 72 hours. The passes must be shown before entering public transportation, bars, restaurants, and other public venues. 

The health passes are directed at forcing those who are not vaccinated to get immunized. 

However, when the government treads on freedom and forces a segment of the population to take an experimental vaccine, there will be blowback, especially when the first round of vaccinations were supposed to liberate folks and return life to normal. 

Now there's more restrictions, less freedom, and the government wants to continue feeding people an experimental drug. People are beginning to turn on the government: 

"We're creating a segregated society and I think it is unbelievable to be doing this in the country of human rights," Anne, a teacher who was demonstrating in Paris, told The Guardian. She refused to give her last name.

"So I took to the streets; I have never protested before in my life," Anne added. "I think our freedom is in danger."

Protesters were also out in other metros, including Marseille, Lyon, Montpelier, Nantes, and Toulouse, yelling "Freedom!" and "No to the health pass!"

Meanwhile, hundreds of anti-vaxxers protested in the streets of downtown London Saturday. Many folks were accompanied by their children and were infuriated that the government wanted to vaccinate kids. 

Protests held signs that read "leave our children alone" and "hands-off our children." 

In Israel, hundreds took to the streets of Tel Aviv to protest the government's new virus restrictions, such as reimposed mask requirements indoors and health passes. 

Protesters held signs that read, "There's no pandemic. It's a con." 

The Delta variant worldwide has forced countries to reimpose COVID restrictions and implement health passes to mitigate the virus spreading. The government interfering with the lives of its citizens and whittling their freedoms has resulted in mass unrest.
