Carlson Accuses Ukraine Of Selling On US-Supplied Arms To Mexican Drug Cartels - Not News To Anyone

 

Several shocking claims were made on Tucker Carlson's show while the host interviewed Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, a retired United States Army officer who was awarded a Bronze Star for valor in Afghanistan.

Carlson stated that billions of dollars' worth of US arms are being siphoned off and sold to America's enemies. While the black market arms trade in Ukraine during the war has long been documented, including in mainstream media sources, and this blog Carlson and his guest Col. Davis also discussed allegations that many of the weapons upplied by US and other western nations have made it into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, among other criminal organizations.

Ukraine receives American weapons, they are skimmed by Ukrainian military officials, who then sell them to various terrorist and criminal organisations, imcluding South American drug cartels, the show asserted.

"They sell weapons to drug cartels... the fact is that the Ukrainian military sells a huge percentage, up to half of the weapons we send them. And this is not my guess. This is a fact. Not speculation. They sell it, and a lot of it ends up with drug cartels on our border. So this is a crime," Carlson said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

However, the claim has come under fire and much scrutiny online, particularly the statement that "half" of all US-provided arms end up with the cartels. US Democrats and left wing media complained that no particular evidence for this was presented in the show. This is typical of the disingenuous way the left presents arguments.

Tens of billion $$$ worth of US and Western arms have been sent over the nearly 3-year course of the Ukraine war, and an immense amount of that weaponry cannot be accounted for. Suporters of the corrupt Ukie regime say this level of illicit arms trade would require immense logistics and would be incredibly difficult to conceal. However there are few western jornalists remaining in the war zone and most reports in western media are simply traslations of Ukrainian propaganda broadcasts. The Ukie may be stupid but they are not stupid enough to admit they have been scamming their allies. The last think threy want is for sunch an abundant cash cow to dry up.

We will never have numbers or photographic evidence but it is beyond reasonable doubt that at least some quantities of black market US-provided arms or ammo have gone from Ukraine into an array of criminal networks worldwide, including possibly to the Mexican cartels just south of the US border and other organised crime operations based in South America or The Caribbean.

Surely this is the best illustration of the old belief that war is the greatest business model ever. Zelensky is given weapons to fight Russia in Amerca / NATO's proxy war.  The famously corrupt Ukie regime sells them to the Mexican cartels. This leaves the Ukrainian soldiers short of weapons so they are killed even quicker and are more helpless.

Meanwhile Zelensky and his associates pocket the money and buy more villas in foreign countries. Trump declares the cartels to be terrorists on the USA borders and to be a critical/dangerous threat to the USA. and announces he will go to war with the cartels AND those who supply guns to the cartels or who do financial deals or banking with them.

With the USA STILL sending MORE weapons and cash to Zelensky and Zelensky arming the terrorist groups who are waging guerilla warfare on the USA, technically the USA is at war with itself. 

Also The EU is in the process of blocking any Ukrainian men for being able to enter the EU countries.  Because the Uke men are dangerous to EU citizens and are potential Terrorists, yet the EU is sending weapons and cash to Zelensky to arm the Ukie soldiers who are deserting, taking their NATO and US supplied weapons with them, who the EU say are potential terrorist threat against the EU.

Of course Zelensky and his associates are taking a large portion of those weapons and selling them to the cartels and others across the world and also taking a major portion of the cash.  Then they buy villas and assets in the EU.

You know who loses?  The Ukrainian men who are being trapped and slaughtered in Moscow's meat grinders.  And of course the taxpayers of the USA and the EU whose hard earned money iS funding all this.

That about sums up the level of insanity reached by the pointless war in Ukraine.

A RANT on unsolicited advice arriving via the world wide web

 I was reminded by Facebook of this rant I posted in 2014 as a response to a swathe of advisory messages thellling me how much I would love the books of a certain author. It is reposted today because again I am getting very irritated with people (assuming they re people abd not AI bots although the stupidity of their advice suggestd the latter,) telling me what I should and should not enjoy, what opinions are 'right' and those which I must not entertain and most of all which protected charateristics I must never question or criticise. FUCK 'EM ALL.

I am sick of the mooey shit I see on the internet. Really I am. First and last thing I saw yesterday was a collection of supposedly inspirational quotes from that shittiest and most overrated of writers Paulo Coelho. Coelho's shittness is not my opinion, it's a fact. Coelho is one of those writers loved by the politically correct, bleeding heart left. All lefties will tell you how great his books are and how they will change you life.

This only proves that politically correct, bleeding heart lefties are illiterate because if they had actually read Coelho's books rather than just saying they've read them to impress other politically correct, bleeding heart lefties, they would know what a banal, infantile, meaningless pile of shit these pithy little literary wanks are.

People who think they will look intelligent because they claim to have read Coelho usually dismiss the characters in action novels or spy yarns as two dimensional. Coelho's characters are one dimensional (and that is being kind), so say the charm of them lies in the fact that they are like childrens' stories. Actually they are not, they are like stories written by a child - a child of very little intellectual depth. What we are told is 'profound wisdom' is in fact just the sort of pithy aphorisms everybody's granny used to say to us when we were little. And our grannies learned the stuff from their grannies.

And yet I get told Coelho has original insights on the meaning of life.

That alone should tell you he's a twat. You want an insight on the meaning of life? Try Albert Camus: "“You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”

Or Immanuel Kant: "Objects exist in reality, only a human mind can surround them with space and time."

Or erotic writer Anais Nin (eat your heart out E L James) "There is not one big cosmic meaning for all; there is only the meaning we each give to our life, an individual meaning, an individual plot, like an individual novel, a book for each person.”

Actually Nin's quote is a rather verbose and much more nuanced summarisation of the plot of Coelho's best known work, The Alchemist which, in its entirity could have been written as a single sentence on a small post it note, "Follow your dream."

Yeah, that's it. Profound eh? It should carry a health warning on the last page for simpleton's who get that far, "Don't be a schmuck like this guy says, get a job and have a decent life."

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced Friday that its forces had captured the coal mining town of Toretsk amid the slow but steady advance of its forces in Donetsk region. Russia calls the same town by the name of Dzerzhinsk, and state media is declaring its 'liberation' after Ukraine forces had long held it.

Journalist Guy Elster also wrote on X, "Russia said its forces had seized the key mining town of Toretsk in east Ukraine after months of fighting."

Ukraine's military had used Toretsk primarily as a staging ground from which to launch almost daily artillery, missile, and drone strikes on Russian front line positions in Donbass.

The Associated Press on Friday additionally detailed the ground situation as follows:

Alkhimov, the 28th Brigade officer, told AP his unit continued to hold its ground on Friday afternoon. He added: “Intense (Russian) assault operations are ongoing.”

DeepState, an open-source Ukrainian map widely used by the military and analysts, showed late Thursday that Ukrainian troops were on the northwest edge of Toretsk and still had some soldiers inside the town itself.

"The Russia’s claimed fall of Toretsk, if confirmed, would advance its sweep across the Donetsk, which has cost Moscow heavily in troops and armor but has paid dividends for the Kremlin," AP continues.

"In the offensive, Russian forces crush settlements with the brute force of 3,000-pound (1,300-kilo) glide bombs, artillery, missiles and drones, then send in infantry units to attack the exposed defenders."

Last year saw the area towns and cities of Avdiivka and Vuhledar fall to the Russian onslaught, with last month Velyka Novosilka as well as Kurakhove falling.

Artificial Intelligence And The Rise Of The Immortal Tyrant

 

As Karl Manheim and Lyric Kaplan warn in a disturbing article in the Yale Journal of Law & Technology about the risks to privacy and democracy posed by AI,

“[a]rtificial intelligence is the most disruptive technology of the modern era… Its impact is likely to dwarf even the development of the internet as it enters every corner of our lives… Advances in AI herald not just a new age in computing, but also present new dangers to social values and constitutional rights. The threat to privacy from social media algorithms and the Internet of Things is well known. What is less appreciated is the even greater threat that AI poses to democracy itself.”

After  30 year career in Information Technology I seem to have gained immunity to scare stories or predictions of a Cyberutopia based on the rise of “digital authoritarianism” or “algocracy—rule by algorithm.”

Digital authoritarianism, as the Center for Strategic and International Studies cautions, is a threat which involves the use of information technology to surveil, repress, and manipulate the populace, overriding human rights and civil liberties, and corrupting the foundational principles of democratic and open societies, “including freedom of movement, the right to speak freely and express political dissent, and the right to personal privacy, online and off.”

How do we protect our privacy against the growing menace of technological overreach and the usurpation by a technological sector working with the government or our liberty and personal sovereignty?

The ability to resist the march of the technocrats may already be out of our hands.

In 2024, at least 37 US federal government agencies ranging from the Departments of Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs to Health and Human Services reported more than 1700 uses of AI in carrying out their work, double from the year before. Likewise British and European governments began to openly discuss how AI could be used to improve heathcare, monitor criminal activity, eradicate tax evasion, suppress dissent, clamp down on 'hate crime' and advance 'net zero' agendas.

That little list does not even begin to touch on agencies and NGOs that did not report their usage of AI technologies at local levels.

I take issue with the use of the term “Artificial Intelligence” as well the notion that the machines make “decisions” . As soon as we adopt the language of the propagandists we endanger our own human consciousness and awareness, especially if we use the terms the machines come to produce and replicate. Pull the plug on digital machines by refusing to think and speak in techno promo terms.

What’s shocking that there is so little opposition to imposing AI authority over people. As long as AI is assigned neither authority nor credibility or infallibility but solely advising role danger of enslaving people is not as huge or imminent although still eminent.

However the real problem is that people surrender their moral autonomy that gives them unalienable right/responsibility to investigate reality in order to draw conclusions by themselves and deny themselves moral authority of ethical judgment of such conclusions in context of our humanity.

If people totally blindly resign themselves to human authority they will easily embrace AI authority as by either they abandon their own moral autonomy and authority.

So it’s not AI technology that must be targeted but any attempts to give it authority that overrides human authority and any credibility that overrides human credibility which we know is fallible and which essentially what makes us human.

For example AI face recognition of a suspect should have no more perhaps less legal weight than suspect identification by a witness which testimony we know may be mistaken or deceiving. So AI should be assigned such deceiving quality as well simply because it’s based on statistical models producing not accurate but approximate outcomes within defined margin of error.

And please stop using term Artificial intelligence (just AI technology) as after three thousand years of philosophy trying to define it we still don’t know what human intelligence really is.

AI is a current buzzphrase but has little tangible meaning, computers are not intelligent, they cannot reason or indulge in abstract thought, nor can they truly generate original content. All AI systems do is parse data, match strings and identify patterns, just like the first computer I worked on in the late 1960s. My program was loaded from punched paper tape, the machine had 128k RAM and we programmer / operators ran around like ants on speed changing disks and mounting or demounting tapes. Today's supercomputers are have gigabyes of memory and are immeasurably faster but work in exactly the same way. And though they can parse millions of words in a fraction of a second they still do not have a clue what any of those words means. Artificial Intelligence is as incapable of extracting meaning from a sentence, paragraph or article as any mechanical device made of cogs and springs. And when nerds talk of their AI systems 'creating' content what the software does is simply disassemble, then reassemble bits and pieces to come up with something not  new, not original, but edited differently – i.e. synthetic art, plagiarised texts, ….?

I still think we have more to fear from the living beings, whatever “they” are, who are driving us towards this artificial world than any computer. Just like we need not fear the gun, but the mindset of the human who operates it.

We, as a culture, are so far removed from ever addressing the causes of knife crime that is epidemic on the sreets of our cities, that there are now moves to ban knife sales to under 18 year olds because of the knife attacks that have been occurring in some sections of society of late. But how can any intelligent being think banning sales of knives to certain democraphics as a solution, when any steak knife from home would do the same job, and instead of taking a closer look at who we let into the country.

We need an urgent solution to how we can rid ourselves of these human and non-human parasites that are enforcing all of the smart machinery. But perhaps I am missing the point, what if The Powers That Be, having finally understood that machines can never be intelligent in the way humans are, now plan to achieve their goal by making humans as dumb as machines are.

He thus put forward a model of society where diversity would be at the heart of evolution.

Criticizing those who defend a ” frozen tradition ,” Mélenchon insisted on the idea that the future must not be a copy of the past. “The future is not destined to be the past always starting over,” he said. He also praised the tradition of mixing and evolution, stressing that humanity must move forward and not seek to repeat old models.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s statements naturally provoked an immediate reaction from Éric Zemmour. On social media, the president of the Reconquête party expressed his disavowal by denouncing what he considers to be a “denial” of the nation. “Jean-Luc Mélenchon, you bless the conquest of France by a foreign civilization. You have sworn the loss of the French people ,” he wrote, pointing out the Insoumis’ adherence to a vision of the country that he considers devastating for its identity.

Zemmour also criticized Mélenchon for following a tradition of historical collaboration, saying: ” In the history of France, there have always been French people who have allied themselves with our enemies against our people. This is the only one of our traditions that you respect. ”
