COP 30 Climate Conference - A Celebration Of The Triumph Of Sactimony Over Sanity

 

 

The annual United Nations climate summit, COP30, got under way this week in Belém, Brazil, deep in the Amazon rainforest. One of the goals of this tears conference is to persuade atttending nations to agree strict limits on deforestation, an activity which is endangering the planet the organisers claim. Ironic that, because in norder to create a purpose built resort near Belem Brazil's Amazon jungle and make it accessible from the nearest civilised area, over 100,000 trees were cut down, a tarmac road and numerous auditorium, conference rooms hotels and brothels were built.

The best hope for some kind of sanity to energe from this year's jamboree of private jet owning types (1500 such aircraft will fly to Brazil, where their occupants will disembark to lecture us about the sacrifices WE THE PEOPLE must make to save the planet,) is that sceptics attending the conference to challenge this globalist agenda can build on the momentum begun by  President Trump’s bold withdrawal from the IPCC and Paris Agreement on climate catastrophe by rallying other nations to follow suit and cease wasting taxpayers money on futile 'Net Zero' fantasies, thud derailing the UN’s expensive, dictatorial climate agenda once and for all.

Throughout the summer of 2025 mainstream media has hyped COP30 as “one of the most consequential climate summits in a decade.” It could prove even more historic.,for the first time since the U.S.A, the worlds largest and most powerful economy by a long way, signed the 1992 Rio Earth Summit treaty, there will be no official U.S. delegation present.

As ever with the annual United Nations climate change conference, hypocrisy is self-evident. COP30’s core themes are ‘preserving forests and biodiversity’ and ‘climate justice’   but to stage the event an eight-mile highway has been cut through the rainforest so that 50,000 true believers can be driven from the airport to the venue. Others such as the Prince of Wales and Sir Keir Starmer will no doubt use helicopters having flown by private jet to Belém airport.

In his 2023 inaugural speech, Brazil’s Marxist President Lula said: ‘Our goal is to achieve zero deforestation in the Amazon,’ and yet this highway was built and the conference centre commissioned by his administration. While Brazil calls it ‘sustainable infrastructure’ with wildlife crossings and solar lighting, environmental scientists call it ‘ecological destruction disguised as conference logistics’.

This highway represents perhaps the most visually striking symbol of climate hypocrisy in modern history: destroying the ‘lungs of the Earth’ to host a conference about saving the planet. Every delegate will drive over cleared Amazon rainforest to attend discussions about preventing deforestation.

The Climate Scam is particularly expert at hypocritical virtue, while leaving out most of the truth. The parts that elevate the virtue are promoted and the parts that would reveal the double standards that are the modus operandi of the globalist elite are simply not spoken about.  Classic examples are the technologies that are supposed to save the world, wind and solar energy. It will never be mentioned and in fact it is actually hidden in official communications and by mainstream media that Lithium mining devastates landscapes and destroys  poor communities. 

 Solar panels are produced in manufacturing situations that violate all of the human rights the UN preach down to us about, primarily that workers are effectively slaves rather than free employess. We never hear of the massive infrastructure the land intensive turbines require, or about their short lifespan and problems with disposal. None of the many failures and shortcomings of Net Zero policies are mentioned by mainstream media. All we hear is the “wind is free and clean”.

A Protective Shield is thrown around Climate Change “Science” and Politics. It wears a cloak of goodness, and anyone daring to say “ayup lads, hold on a minute,” is accused of being a 'far right conspiracy theorist or a 'climate denier.'. 

The reality of intermittent energy production (that backup generators have to be kept running, their output going down to earth, in casse of suddent drops in wind speed or changes in cloud cover,) is ignored and instead we get slogans and press releases, emotional and moral language and certainty where there is NONE. Every failure of their globalist power grab conferences masquerading as climate ones becomes proof that there must be ever more urgency “before it is too late”. 

This is not how science operates, it is how Politics and Narrative Management works.

But eventually all scams face a reckoning. This one however is so entrenched that people no longer ask where it came from. They have become adjusted to living within a “climate crisis” but holes are appearing. Astronomical energy prices, Industries collapsing, food shortages, the industrial rise of China which ignores agreements on emissions, tramples on human rights and laughs at fair trade agreements. But all the time realisation is growing that we have been conned.

Climate Pseudo - science Catastrophe Predictions Proved Wrong Again

 

 

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will attend the COP30 climate summit in Brazil in November to accelerate Britain's efforts on pursuing net zero and driving green growth, his spokesperson said on Monday.

"The prime minister will attend the COP30 climate summit to be held in Belem, Brazil next month, despite reports previously suggesting he would skip the meeting, the location of which is controversial as a large slice of Brazilian rain forest has been destroyed to accommodate it. This turnaround has surprised mainstream media but Sir Slimer changed his mind because net zero is the economic opportunity of the 21st century," his spokesperson said.

Downing Street confirmed on Monday that Sir Keir would attend the summit in Belem, near the mouth of the Amazon river. "We're restoring the UK as a global leader on climate action and green growth, and you can expect to see the PM driving forward that agenda at the COP30 summit," the Downing Street press release gushed. The number or prominent politicians and scientists who have questioned the climate change narrative is never mentioned of course.

We Boggart Bloggers are of the opinion that Slimer's change of mind is really because with a triple Tsunami of brown smelly stuff about to hit Britain's biggest array of wind turbines from three different directions; stalling the grooming gangs inquiry, the failure of the government's flagship Net Zero policies, and pulling the plug on a court case that woud expose China's malign influence in matters of national scurity, our snivelling wimp of a leader would rather be 9000 miles away helping to lay the foundations for global technoloical tyranny. 

Or perhaps Starmer, ever the opportunist who misses the opportunity has been swayed by hysterical claims from the climate catastrophe lobby citing new research which shows a vast increase in the number of wildfires around the world and feels this is a crisis he understands and in which he can play the role of world statesman. 

Unfortunately the wildfire hysteria was wrong, just the usual scaremongering based on mathematical models rather than reality and probably inspired by the failure of Net Zero policies. In genuine research  data set after data set shows that the world burns ever less in terms of burned area. Disrupting this unhelpful reality, a splashy paper in Nature last year finally found a worrying narrative: “extreme wildfire events” had more than doubled globally over the past two decades. Using satellite data from 2003 to 2023, the authors clustered fire hotspots and tallied their “fire radiative power” – a proxy for intensity. Predictably, this ignited a bonfire of the vanities for politicians and the media. From The New York Times to CBS News the headlines blared warnings of a planet ablaze, seeing fiercer fires as proof that we are hurtling toward a global inferno. 

Analysis shows that extreme fire is down by 35 per cent over the same period. The fires are burning less intensely, and we already knew that less area is getting burned as time goes by – but this contradicts the extreme climate script, so as with the redent delaration by 1900 scientists that there is no climate crisis, we heard crickets from major media outlets.

Perhaps Starmer sees hilself as the charismatic leader who, by deploying his lawyerly skill of changing the truth by twisting the meaning of words, can save the planet from a greener and more prosperous future thanks to a modest increase in atmospheric Carbon Dioxide. 

But while the Prime Minister is clocking up more air miles and dodging the flak for his governments abject failure there is an destructive apocalypse happening every single day somewhere in the British countryside as Mad Ed Miliband , the minister for Net Zero destroys our economy, living standards, food producing land and historic landscapes by covering over thousands of acres with millions of poisonous solar panels bearing long term heavy metal components and to build solar energy plants that produce very little power (and none at all during the hours of darkness when we still need electricity,) and has driven our energy bills to the highest in the world. 

 Please, please write to you MP and your Local Council, to resist by all means 'pressures' from central Labour government, block roads, dump dung on the Town Hall steps,lie down in front of the bulldozers, do anything you can to stop approvals of all renewable energy plants beginning tomorrow until the promises of abundant cheap energy are fulfilled or more likely proved false, and their long term harm to the environment is revealed. 

And furthermore we must keep Starmer away from all international summits of world leaders because the man is so pathetically desperate for approval from powerful tyrants like China's Chairman Xi he's likely to return and announce that he has sold the nation to China and in future we will rent it back from them for a sum set at 105% of GDP annually.

Total Surveillance: Contact-tracing app will be ‘key part’ of UK government’s Covid-19 ‘surveillance programme’

The hugely unpopular NHS contact-tracing app proposal, which as libertarians point out will giver the government the power to track all our movements, will be a “key part” of the U.K. government’s Covid-19 containment policy for the foreseeable future, a spokesman for the Prime Minister's office has confirmed.

The app, designed ostensibly to notify smartphone users if they came into close contact with someone who had tested positive for the coronavirus, could be available within a few weeks, but privacy campaigners warn that the app, which will give the government and its agencies, including the police who have shown their willingness to abuse their new powers, the ability to record and store the complete movements of individuals and details of those with whom they were in contact.

If the plan goes through unchallenged, and Boris Jognson's recent conversion to the kind of authoritarian approach wannabe Galactic Emperor Bill Gates has lobbied for suggests it will, the public will be “coerced” into sharing personal data about their movements, personal liberty activists fear.

This blog has warned from the outset that the whole COVID - 19 coronavirus scare was being used by globalists to effect a huge power grab and the abolition of the rights and liberties we in the democratic nations have come to take for granted.

Johnson’s spokesman added that the priority while waiting for the app to be ready is ensuring continued social distancing in order to fullfil the “five tests” to be met before lockdown measures can be eased. Those tests include falling deaths and falling infection rates. This is ridiculous and confirms our suspicions as empirical evidence shows distancing does not work and lockdown, apart from trashing the economy, has failed to curtail the spread of the disease. Nations like Sweden and South Korea which avoided a lockdown, arguing rationally that the economic damage would cause more deaths in the long term than the virus is ever likely to, have experienced no higher infection rate or deathg rate than normal.

Today's statement from Downing Street follows a heated exchange in the House of Commons on Tuesday 28 April over proposed legislation setting out the legal basis for processing personal data by the app. Shadow deputy leader of the House, Afzal Khan, said that while the app has an “important role to play,” legislation should ensure that it stores data in a decentralized manner. This is nonsense as data stored in a decentralised way, i.e. a distributed database, can still be pulled together almost instantly on entry of certain keywords.

Responding to Khan, Solicitor General Michael Ellis QC said the app will be “voluntary participation only” and there will be “no private identifiable information on it.” Furthermore, the whole process will be “data protection compliant and there will be an ethical advisory board monitoring it,” he said.

Internet law professor Lilian Edwards took a more cautionary line, telling MPs, that there was a “precedent of other pandemics leading to a mass land grab in extensive state surveillance.” She is probably referring to the pandemics of damp squibs over the past three decades, including SARS, MERS, Swine Flu, Bird Flu and Ebola. The first four of those were so ludicrously hyped they caused the World Health Organisation to change the edfinition of 'pandemic' from hundreds of millions of people all around the world will be infected and millions will die, to 'a few people here and there will feel a bit poorly.' Ebola was different, it killed thousands in west Africa in 2014 / 15 but despite a massive campaign to spread fear and panic in the rest of the world the diseasedid not significantly break out of Africa.


Historically, virus epidemics to tend to burn out after a few months. Why this is so has never been understood.

COVID - 19 has turned into a real pandemic, but there are several aspects of how it is thought to have originated, the way it predominantly attacks the old and those with underlying health problems and the fact that all the world's leading economies were in deficit because of rising welfare bills, that have led conspiracy theorists to speculate that the timing is suspiciously convenient. And the authoritarian measures adopted by governments, vesting far more powers in the state, tend to fuel those suspicions.

Several EU countries have been developing contact-tracing apps in parallel with the UK, a statement from the EU Commission in Brussels earlier this month stated that it wanted EU members to take a “common approach” to the use of digital technologies and data.

The 'common approach' recommendation from Brussels has triggered a debate that is still raging in Europe over whether to use centralized or decentralized solutions for the apps. While a decentralized approach would see data stored on the user’s own phone, a centralized infrastructure would see data sent to a central database run by public authorities, which civil liberties groups say risks evolving into state surveillance.

The German government plans to adopt a decentralized approach it was announced last week. This is a U-turn on the previous plan which involved full support of the Pan-European Privacy-Preserving Proximity Tracing (Pepp-PT) protocol developed by European Union agencies. Berlin will now support decentralized solutions proposed by Apple and Google instead, which leaves the gathered data on devices controlled by US tech corporations. This approach presents even greater problems for personal liberty activists as on user privacy and data protection the track record of both these predatory corporations is on a par with that of a fox in a chicken coop.

Meanwhile the UK leans toward a centralized model and it’s been reported that experts from GCHQs National Cyber Security Centre, an agency which has been spying on us through our web use, emails, molbile phone calls and texts for over two decades, are advising on the project. So the unalienable human right to privacy is right out the window then.

In France the government of beleagured president Emmanuel Macron has also been pushing a centralized app solution, prompting hundreds of the country's computer security experts to sign an open letter asking the government to reconsider due to concerns around privacy and individual freedoms.

Johnson's spokesman said the government would set out more details regarding the British app as soon as it could. Our advice, Just Say No, Do you really need an app that allows a government no sane person would trust, to track their every movement and who they came into contact with.

A new trend in mainstream media and the liberal side of the political establishment is that, aware of public feeling for once, they are turning on their recent darlings, the Silicon Valley elites. As public criticism of the ethical decrepitude common to tech and internet giants such as Google (don't be evil, that's our job,) Microsoft, Apple, Facebook and Amazon to name a few, the politicians and media luvvies are as usual piling on the bandwagon.  

Last week, even say-anything-in-return-for-a-donation Hillary Clinton attacked Facebook for allowing someone who may have been Russian to buy $50,000 worth of political ads on their site. Blithely sidestepping around the irony the irony of that statement when it is a matter of public record that Facebook execs gave millions to Hillary's 2016 campaign, we would ask our readers to cut FB some slack. Recent revelations about how much of their estimated revenue is down to click fraud makes one realise how desperate for cashflow Zuckerberg and Co. must be.

Jumping on this hate-silicon-valley-control-freaks bandwagon may have unexpected consequences however, another trend that has gone largely unremarked is the acquisition by tech billionaires of traditional media organizations (i.e. the ones that make money in the real world, not in Ponzi schemes like crypto-currencies. So if you are a writer and have intentions of joining in with the tech-billionaire bashing jamboree, it might be wise to make sure you know who owns the news organ you write for. Telling the world via your Facebook timeline that your boss is a bastard is bad, doing the same thing in a big circulation news sheet he or she owns  is not just career suicide, it's oblivion. Unfortunately, Fredrick Kunkle of the Washington Post didn't heed that advice when he published a scathing op-ed about Jeff Bezos in the Huffington Post. It is of course possible than Kunkle did not know the Amazon founder now owns WaPo, but journalistic training covers the importance of fact checking surely. Here's a taste of what he had to say:

One of the wealthiest men in the world is thinking of ways to give back. But he’s still taking from the very people who helped him build his fortune.

But as Bezos, whose worth now exceeds $80 billion, loosens his pockets, it’s important to put his charitable giving — and the philanthropy of the super-rich — into perspective: Many people worked hard for Bezos to help make him so rich, and he has a record of treating them poorly.

Amazon’s history of dodging taxes, its mistreatment of workers, and its ruthlessness toward even the smallest competitors have been well documented. It put ambulances outside distribution centers rather than install adequate air conditioning. It broke up a union organizing effort by closing the call center and dismissing everyone who worked there. The New York Times documented its punishing work environment in a front-page exposé. The company’s actions, as Forbes put it, hark back to an earlier time when workers were treated as “replaceable cogs in the machine.”

Everyone at the Post wants it to succeed and prosper. But we want our employees to succeed and prosper, too.

Two years ago, however, Bezos slashed retirement benefits. For reasons that remain unclear, he froze a pension plan that was awash in so much money that neither he nor the company would possibly have faced additional liabilities. He also spurned the sort of compromise plan The New York Times Co. had pioneered -  an adjustable pension plan that would have ensured the Post would never encounter a problem funding it. In essence, this innovative approach, developed by the financial services firm Cheiron, would have mitigated the company’s risks by sharing them with employees and continued to grow their annual retirement benefit.

Bezos’ decision on retirement benefits had nothing to do with the balance sheet and, arguably, everything to do with ideology. And it almost overshadowed Bezos’ demand for the right to cancel everyone’s health insurance and his push to take it away from part-time employees.

Bezo's ideology appeares to be based on, "Fuck the workers, I want all the money." Oh well, he has no influence over this small publication.

Unfortunately the same is not true of The Washington Post (sic) and not surprisingly, Kunkle's efforts earned him this sternly-worded warning from WaPo's Director of Labor Relations for his "willful and intentional violation of The Washington Post’s standards and ethics policy." In the circumstances use of the word 'ethics' in that sentence seems completely inappropriate.
