Seymour Hersh Nord Stream Bombshell Report Attacked By USA and Zelensky Fan Club

 Veteran  investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a bombshell report on Wednesday (8 February,) in which he alleged that the United States was behind the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline system last year, citing a single unnamed source "with direct knowledge of the operational planning."This is not news to  most of us as people from a industrial, political, or economic backgrounds, applying the principle of 'cui bono' (who benefits,) quickly identified the USA as the prime suspected, probably aided and abetted by one of their NATO allies in the region.

According to Hersh's report published on his new Substack, the September, 2022 attack on the Russian - owned gas pipelines which carried around 30% of the gas Germany needed to keep the home fires burning and the wheels of industry turning was effected by the U.S. Navy "under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22" and with assistance from the Norwegian navy and secret service.

Last June, with the authorization of President Joe Biden, U.S. Navy divers planted "remotely triggered explosives that, three months later, destroyed three of the four Nord Stream pipelines," Hersh reported.

White House security spokesman Adrienne Watson,quickly denied U.S. involvement, telling the Russian state-owned news agency TASS that Hersh's reporting was "false and complete fiction." The White House gave the same statement to Reuters and to Hersh himself, who over the course of his career has famously exposed U.S. forces' massacre of hundreds of Vietnamese civilians exposed the torture of detainees at the U.S-run Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.The reporter stood by his story however, and asserted that his source is totally reliable, hinting that there is more to be revealed about US involvement in European affairs.

It does not matter whether Hersh knows more than he is telling. In any story like this, whether deliberately leaked or actively researched, there will be a grain (actually a very, very large slice) of the truth. So here's how we Boggart Bloggers think things stand:

It seems everyone knows that the USA was behind the action, whether practically or only by instigation. Were it otherwise how could American gas suppliers have had a fleet of Liquid Natural Gas tankers ready to start shipping gas to Europe to replace the lost Russian imports. Most well informed people in Germany, including many business leaders have accepted this and it is likely the Russians or someone in Germany has evidence to prove it.

So as readers we need to think rationally to try to sort out which parts of Hersh's story are the red herrings. I think that it is reasonable to assume that 75% is true, but the issue is sorting out which 25% is not.

Our guess is that the US sources would be anxious to protect their anonymity, and if it was a US plane that triggered the explosion to protect U.S. interests by throwing Norway to the lions. They would also probably be keen to protect the UK, since if they shit on the Brits there are a lot of secrets regarding covert operations known to MI6 and any serious rift could lead to all sorts of embarrassing leaks. So Norway is sacrificed instead of the UK, and perhaps because it is felt that Russia is less likely to retaliate against Norway.

One serious issue for the USA, that nobody is discussing, is just how reliable is the UK these days. The huge social shifts that has seen Rishi Sunak elected as PM indicates that the Angloshpere connection is weakening. Yes Sunak is probably in the pocket of the USA as is Starmer, but what about the nation as a whole. Economically the UK is in a bad place and it would be expedient to dump on weak Norway, than risk further destabilisation in UK.

All of this might seem idiotically convoluted, but compared to the usual machinations of governments, diplomatic staff and state security agencies it is comparatively straightforward, and in the light of  the initial response of the USA and NATO members to the sabotage of the pipelines, which was you may remember, to accuse the Russians of sabotaging their own pipeline, an asset via which a highly significant slice of their export revenue was earned, it starts to look quite feasible.

German NatGas Consumption Too High To Avoid Energy "Emergency", Regulator Warns As Norway Increases Gas Production

 This blog and our co - publications, Original Boggart Blog and The Daily Stirrer have commented many times on the folly of western leaders headlong rush to achieve 'net zero,' the neutralisation of Carbon Dioxide emissions from their nation's business and social activities. Germany and the UK have so far led the way, closing coal and gas fuelled electricity generating plants and for some reason nuclear reactors though these produce absolutely zero CO2, and trying to fulfill their nation's baseload requirement (the level of energy requires 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in order to keep a modern, economically developed nation running) by investing in intermittent and unpredictable sources such as wind turbines and solar panels.

Now it seems Germany is heading for a cold, dark winter as in spite of all the government's exhortations to reduce consumption now that no gas at all is flowing through the Nord Stream pipeline from Russia due to the sabotage of both pipes last month, businesses need to keep trading and domestic users need to keep warm and cook food. The result is that the European Union's biggest member and most powerful economy  may not be able to avoid an energy "emergency" in the  cold, dark months which lie ahead, the head of the country's energy network regulator warned Thursday, as reported by The Washington Post. 

"Gas consumption increased by too much last week," said Klaus Mueller, head of Germany's network agency.

Due to the bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline system in the Baltic Sea and reduced NatGas flows from Russia via The Balkans and Italy because of the war in Ukraine, German households and businesses need to reduce energy consumption to a bare minimum as average temperatures across northern Europe slide to near an unseaonally low 5 degrees celsius in the second half of the September.

Germany's inability to reduce gas consumption due to its closing coal, gas and nuclear fuelled power stations can only result in accelerating the depletion of supplies in bulk storage and could spark a continued surge in gas prices. Gas consumption last week for households and small businesses was 10% higher than average consumption levels between 2018-21. 

"We will hardly be able to avoid a gas emergency in winter without at least 20% savings in the private, commercial and industrial sectors.

"The situation can become very serious if we do not significantly reduce our gas consumption," Mueller said.

Though there is a hint of good news coming from elsewhere it may be to little too late to help Germany, especially in view of the latest dose of bad news. Florence Rabier, director-general of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, told Financial Times that forecasts for November and December in Europe would bring "colder weather than usual with less wind and more rainfall reducing the generation of electricity from the much vaunted 'renewable' sources." 

The Germans may be able to follow the UK's lead and fire up  a few mothballedcoal and fossil fuel plants and even recommission nuclear output to prevent widespread power blackouts during peak demand hours, although al these thins take time. As for households, the cheapest way to offset energy hyperinflation is to burn the furniture. 

Meanwhile little Norway, Western Europe’s biggest oil and gas producer, expects its oil and liquids production to rise by 15% next year with the second phase of the Johan Sverdrup oilfield development and the start-up of the Johan Castberg oilfield, the government said in its draft budget on Thursday. 

And the UK is recommissioning oil and gas rigs in The North Sea which were shut down in pursuit of 'net zero' though they still contain exploitable reserves. The UK government has also granted over 100 new exploration licences for North Sea extraction operators this week. It would not be possible to bring online these resources for a considerable time so it looks as if governments think this crisis will be around for a while.

                

Offshore Natural gas production from Norway's waters supplies around 25% of the gas consumed in the EU. Offshore production from UK waters, is expected to rise by 10% in 2022 compared to 2021, the government’s latest estimates showed, with a similar increase expected for 2023.

“The energy crisis in Europe makes Norwegian gas sales even more important for Europe than before,” Norway says.

Revenues from offshore hydrocarbon activities are expected at $132 billion (1.4 trillion Norwegian crowns) – a record high – in 2023, compared to the predicted $113 billion (1.2 trillion crowns) for 2022, and nearly five times higher than the 2021 revenues from oil and gas, according to the government’s budget draft. The high expected income from petroleum activities will mostly reflect expected high oil prices, and especially gas prices, as well as a weaker exchange rate for the Norwegian crown.

Earlier this year, Norway’s authorities approved applications from operators to boost production from several operating gas fields, to allow higher gas production as its key partners, the EU and the UK, scramble for gas supply ahead of the winter Norway’s Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland, said, commenting on the budget.

(Natural News) There have been 13 new confirmed deaths associated with the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine in Norway, which adds to the 23 deaths and counting that are said to be associated with the vaccine’s rollout in the Scandinavian country.

The Norwegian Medicines Agency (NMA) officially confirmed the 13 deaths, pegging them as “side effects” of Chinese virus jabs. All of the deaths are said to have been in people who were “old and frail.”

In total, 23 deaths have been reported in connection with WuFlu injections in Norway, an astronomical number considering the fact that the virus itself has an almost nonexistent death rate.

“The reports might indicate that common side effects from mRNA vaccines, such as fever and nausea, may have led to deaths in some frail patients,” said NMA chief physician Sigurd Hortemo in a statement.

With the help of the National Institute of Public Health (FHI), the NMA assess all reports of side effects to determine whether or not they were caused by the vaccines. The agency has determined that the jabs are, in fact, dangerous, and that people should probably avoid them.

“If you are very frail, you should probably not be vaccinated,” said NMA official Steinar Madsen during a webinar for journalists about coronavirus vaccines.
