It's Not Euthanasia, Its Terminal Sedation OK!

I love the cirumlocution. Terminal Sedation "My client did not murder Mr. Victim, M'lud, he merely terminally sedatet the man by hitting him in the face with a shovel."

France's Parliament yesterday held the first stage of a debate on a bill aimed at allowing doctors to keep sedate terminally ill patients with increasing does of drugs until death comes, amid national debate about whether to legalize euthanasia.

The proposed bill — backed by the Socialist government — stops short of recommending lethal injections and avoids the terms euthanasia or assisted suicide. Well terminal sedation is so much more user friendly.

Prime minister Manuel Valls praised "a reform that proclaims the right to die peacefully, in dignity and without suffering," in a speech at France's lower house of Parliament.

The measure would give people "the right to deep, continuous sedation until death" but only when their condition is life-threatening in the short term. Give a patient enough sedative of course and their condition will in the short term become life threatening.

It would also force doctors to follow end-of-life instructions whether they are expressed by the patients themselves or written in advance, if they are no longer able to express their will.

 Doctors may withhold treatment from patients with "green lifestyle issues."

 A few weeks ago an item on the BMA's website linked to the "Doctors against climate change" group of the doctors' trade union. This body of medico-environmental socialist - utopians stated:

"The Earth's climate is rapidly approaching a threshold beyond which there are likely to be major and irreversible changes. As a member of the Climate and Health Council we support the call for healthcare professionals across the world to take action to limit climate change."

At first this seemed like the kind of left wing bullshit pseudo - liberal, crypto - fascist political activists fart out all the time. These people get so much taxpayers' money thrown at them, it appears it can afford to waste big chunks of it on propaganda campaigns in support of the left's rapidly growing herd of sacred cows.

It turns out however, that some Stalinist bullies General Practicioners actually try to implement such dictatorial nonsense. Now stepping daintily round the global warming argument (because if you don't know by now it was a scam you are FUBAR and I haven't time to waste on dogmatists) we must ask WTF are these doctors up to? Like most of you , I suspect, Boggart Blog has always thought a GPs job is to treat people's ailments, not impose oligarchic collectivist political agendas on them. Climate change campaigning should be left to tree hugging weirdie beardies.

A body whose members are paid by us taxpayers for supposedly making us better, have no business spending our money on saving polar bears or worrying about rainforests. Mrs Avril Mulcahy (83), it is reported in today's Daily Telegraph, Mail, Express, Liverpool Echo and Currant Bun (Ask Jeeeves search results) has been struck off her Family Doctor's list, "in order to mitigate her green travelling issues". The practice, where Mrs Mulcahy has been a patient for 30 years, sent her a letter:

"Our greatest concern is for your health and convenience but also taking into consideration green travelling issues. Re: Carbon footprints and winter weather conditions, we feel it would be advisable for patients to register at surgeries nearer to where they live. We would be very grateful if you could make the necessary arrangements to re-register at another practice".

Note that "but" in the first sentence, which reverses intent of first clause. The practice's "greatest concern" is for Mrs Mulcahy's welfare, "but" it isn't, actually, because we are lefties and our primary concern as always is advancing our control freak agenda." These self righteous twunts are more concerned about her "carbon footprint" and her selfish, politically incorrect desire to carry on doing what she has done for three decades through her few remaining years than about her health.

Why not tell her to move out of her comfortable home and check into a concentration camp for geriatrics sheltered community when the envionmentally friendly accommodation features no heating or hot water and no facilities for preparing hot food or brewing up. This could be justified by saying "Our greatest concern is for your comfort and well being BUT our egotheistic self righteousness demands that we stomp on your environmentally irresponsible lifestyle. Don't you care about the planet you child murdering old cow?"
Wouldn't it be nice to hear that doctors concerned about the effects of CO2 on the planet, instead of bullying old ladies were working on an anti flatulence pill because fart gas is mostly CO2. Or they could just shut the fuck up because all their whining and carping is just useless hot air.

Another Kick In The Bollocks For Warmageddonists And CAGWARTS*

I've had many arguments with the Warmageddonists, the people who have been saying that the 'scientific consensus' had agreed if we did not shut down all coal, oil and gas related activites (that is, just about all human activities except unprotected sex and sleeping) the earth was going to turn into a giant furnace and we would all burn.

Those of us audacious enough to ask when this was going to happen felt the horizon shifting. When the scaremongering first started, the deadline for frying was "after dinner". Then it go to "Tomorrow ...... or the day after tomorrow perhaps," then "next year", "before 2050," and eventually "soon."

Don't you love that scientific precision.

The reason the Warmageddonists and CAGWARTS could not give a sensible answer of course was that the scientists were studying computer models of reality and worse, they were changing the fictitious data they put in when the algorithms did not give the answer they wanted. In the real world, rather than warming like a fire someone has dumped a few gallons of petrol on, the earth ws warming a tiny little bit, just as it always has.

What's more while the Warmageddonists screamed "the science is settled" and insisted that "97% of scientists agree global warming is happening faster than the models predict and will wipe out man, beast and beetroot if we do not stop living NOW!

There was no such scientific consensus, the study cited as proof of it had falsified the figures by looking at a lot of climate studies and simly assuming any that did not specifically state climate change was NOT being caused by carbon dioxide emissions from human activity agreed with that proposition that it was.

In fact most of those studies did not even look for causes but at likely effects.

The purported but ridiculous derogatory term "climate deniers" was invented to belittle people intelligent enough to question the dodgy science on which the Warmageddon scare was based, although none f the sceptics had ever tried to deny that there is a climate (there are in fact many, depending on what part of the world you are in).

But all the while as the Warmageddionists screamed "scientific consensus and demanded a one million per cent tax be put on everything their puritanical left wing prejudices dictated was not polititically correct, sensible researchers were looking at many possible causes of the changes in climate that have happened in cycles for billions of years. Much of this climate change is driven by variations of Earth's orbit around the Sun with characteristic frequencies known as Milankovitch cycles."

Warmonger Obama Goes Looking For Another War, In Venezuela This Time

The Obama Administration, which in 2009 provided backing for the coup that overthrew the progressive democratic President of Honduras and put into power a junta of oligarchs (Hillary Clinton's other big foreign policy disaster); a rerun as it turned out for the bloody coup that replaced the corrupt but democratically elected Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, ad installed in Kiev a rabidly anti-Russian, equally corrupt, right wing extremist Government, thus sparking Ukraine’s civil war against the ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine. These people had voted 90% for the pro - Moscow Yanukovych. Obama and his bloodthirsty little queer sidekicks are now, and not for the first time, trying to overthrow Venezuela’s democratically elected President, Nicolas Maduro.

Now I don't know enough about Venezuela's internal politics to be able to say whether President Maduro is a good leader or not, all I know is his government is Venexueala's choice and who rules in Cracas is a matter for the Venezuela's electorate to decide. It certainly has nothing to do with the corrupt, drug abusing former rent boy who is President of the United States of America.

In spite of that, on Monday March 9th Reuters headlined "U.S. Declares Venezuela a National Security Threat, Sanctions Top Officials," and their report gives its closing word to an opposition politician, whom Obama supports and who says: “It’s not a problem with Venezuela or with Venezuelans; it’s a problem for the corrupt ones” (i.e., Maduro and his Government).

In other words, while we know that the increasingly insane Obama, a man who believed from the outset he had been elected President Of The Entire Universe And Everything Else Besides, now thinks his job description requires him to go bullying his way round the world, imposing on sovereign nations leaders from the politically factions that have shown they will suck up to him and do America's bidding.

Apologists for American fascism would argue Obama is only trying to replace a ‘corrupt’ head-of-state. Unfortunately he seems to specialise in replacing 'corrupt' democratically elected heads of state, overturning the democratic process and replacing it with brutal tyranny in the case of Ukraine or failed state chaos as has happened in Libya.

And we must not forget Egypt, where the corrupt, brutal military dictatorship of Honsi Mubarack was replaced by an even more corrupt, brutal Islamic fundamentalist regime until the Egyptian military, appalled at the slaughter of Christians and people who were 'the wrong sort of Muslim', overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood regime and returned to the kind of relatively secular dictatorship the Mubarak regime practiced.

The White House justified an Executive Order (Presidential Decree, Obama's preferred method of lawmaking as he has not patience with the democratic process) issued on March 9th, which declared according to the press release, “President Obama declares a national emergency with respect to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States posed by the situation in Venezuela. This is bullshit of course, Venezuela poses not threat to the USA

Specifically, the E.O. is aimed at neutralising those determined by the Department of the Treasury, in consultation with the Department of State, to be involved in actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions. Not the democratic processes or institutions of the United States you should note, but those of the sovereign state of Venezuela, which are actually nothing to do with Barack Hussein Obama.

The Executive Order states that the existing Government of Venezuela limits human rights and is corrupt. Quite how this “constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States, and I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat,” is not clearly explained.

On 14 February 2015, President Maduro had thwarted a coup-attempt against him that was engineered by the Governments of Canada and the UK. This came almost exactly a year after he had already thwarted such an attempt by the U.S. Government. In December 2013, the Maduro Government presented detailed evidence that the U.S. was planning a coup against him.

On 15 January 2015, Maduro met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin. The Obama Administration is, of course, committed to provoking Putin into starting World War Three.

President Obama is also trying to bring down Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad. In 2011, he had bombed away the regime of Libya’s President Muammar Gaddafi. Both Assad and Gaddafi also are/were allies of Russia, as is Iran. The Obama Administration is now assisting ISIS in its war against Assad, even while bombing ISIS.

And yet the supporters of the globalist, anti - democracy left as still trying to convince us this war worshipping arsehole is the peacemaker and conciliator who will lead the world to an era of harmonious prosperity. Well I suppose he might if people are prepared to accept that slavery to American Corporations represents any kind of freedom.

I've always liked Sweden, loved my visits there and enjoyed working in Stockholm for just short of a year. But I have to wonder at the bout of collective insanity (aka cultural Marxism) that is destroying that wonderful country and their admirable culture.

Politically dominated by the Social Democrats for many years, Sweden has always been afficted by politically correct thinking but recently Swedish PC fuckwittedness has been leaving behind even that of the crazy Californians as the left seek new ways of destroying everything that is good about their country.

There are even prominent politicians who have gone on record as saying that ethnic Swedes should fuck off because Sweden rightfully belongs to immigrants. Add to that a loony leftie plan to import so many illiterate, undecuated third world peasants that they will outnumber ethnic Swedes and you stat to see how he lunacy of Sweden's politically correct thinking has taken self righteous stupidity to a new level.

"I think it is more a feminist issue. It's tiresome (looking at) a bare-breasted woman when I sit at public dinners with foreign guests. I think it feels a little hard to sit there with men who look at us women."

One humourist in Britain wondered why Swedish lawmakers could not have emulated the famous English comic Mr. Bean (who once posed in a movie as an art critic) and get someone to paint a bra on top of the offending mammaries in order to preserve modesty and thus prevent offence.

In Sweden, the move is being lambasted as political correctness gone mad. It is not clear whether the Swedish Parliament will now stop taking women, and guests from Muslim countries to art museums.

Sweden is known for a conflictual relationship with issues of tolerance. The country recently attracted international attention for allowing a convicted paedophile man in his 60s to adopt a young child.

Russia Responds To Threats From EU's Juncker With Typical Bluntness

Tensions between the USA / NATO axis and Russia have been rising for several years. While the Obama administration and EU leaders have blamed the Russians and in particular their leader, former KGB agent Vladimir Putin, in reality it is the west that has been pushing a return to cold war conditions as NATO and the EU have bribed former Soviet satellites like Hungary and Poland and former Soviet republics such as Latvia and Lithuania to join the EU and NATO in violation of a 1990 treaty in which the western powers undertook not to do exactly what they have done.

When the EU / NATO started to make moves to incorporate nations along Russia's southern border, Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan into the European Union and North Atlantic military alliance it was understandably more than the Russians were prepared to tolerate.

Last week (in March 2015) the President of the European Commission, the former Luxembourg first minister Jean Claude
DrunkardJuncker recently called for a unified European Army to counter the Russian threat, his words were specifically aimed at "reacting credibly to show Russia that Europe is serious about defending its values" Not surprisingly Russia has responded Juncker's hot air in a manner which suggests they are amused by the fat little alcoholic's bluster but regard his threats with contempt.

As Russian news agency TASS reports, first deputy chairman of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Frants Klintsevich, told the media on Sunday that "in the nuclear age extra armies do not provide any additional security. But they surely can play a provocative role," adding it was regrettable that such ideas had already found support in European capitals and in Washington.

A report on Juncker's statement read:

The president of the European Commission has called for the creation of an EU army in order to show Russia “that we are serious about defending European values”.

In an interview with German newspaper Die Welt, Jean-Claude Juncker, who leads the EU’s executive arm, said an EU army would let the continent “react credibly to threats to peace in a member state or a neighbour of the EU”.
Mr Juncker said an EU army would “help us to develop a common foreign and security policy, and to fulfil Europe’s responsibilities in the world”. Nato was not a sufficient protection for the EU as not all EU members are part of the alliance, according to Mr Juncker.

The alleged support the idea found in European capitals was less than unequivocal however. Jan Philipp Albrecht, a German Green MEP tweeted:

“I support Juncker in building an EU army, if it means the termination of all EU member states’ armies and is controlled by the European Parliament,”

German Defense Minister von der Leyen went so far as to note,

"I think what is most important, it shows up in Europe, 70 years after the Second World War - and 70 years ago we were mortal enemies - that today the peace in Europe, in the European Union stands on firm footing, and we step by step, more and more firmly establish our alliances, especially in the security policy. This interweaving of armies with a view to provide also have a European army one day, in my opinion, is the future."

So clearly some politicians feel the idea is an important step towards 'ever closer union' even though it would only create several new layers of bureaucracy and lead to EU bureaucrats demanding hugely increased contributions from member states' taxpayers. And in spite of all that Russia could still blow away most of the EU's major cities should our idiotic politicians allow themselves to be duped by Washington into seriously pissing off The Kremlin.

In other words, don't bring a knife to a nuclear gunfight.
Klintsevich added it was regrettable that such ideas had already met with some support.
He recalled that the idea of creating a European army had never occurred to anyone even in the years of the acute confrontation between NATO and the Warsaw Treaty Organization.

"These days, when the Warsaw Treaty is long gone, for some reason there has developed a need for that," he wondered.

"One should presume that a European army is seen as an addendum to NATO. And in this kind of situation Western politicians are not shy to accuse Russia of some aggressiveness."
Recalling that David Cameron said Jean Claude Juncker was "too federalist" to be EU President we can only wonder how long until the man who has brandy for breakfast calls for the creation of a European-Union-managed nuclear deterrent.

An Ofcom spokesman said: “Ofcom has launched an investigation into whether this programme about the situation in Ukraine, which included anti-western comments, was duly impartial.”

Russia Today is to be investigated by media regulator Ofcom over anti-western comments in a late-night discussion on Ukraine – its sixth ongoing inquiry into the Kremlin-backed news channel following complaints by viewers.

The regulator, which threatened Russia Today, or RT, with statutory sanctions after repeated breaches of broadcasting regulations on impartiality last year, faces a new investigation over its Crosstalk programme broadcast on 23 December last year.

The programme is understood to have featured a number of anti-western views in the discussion between the presenter and three studio guests, prompting one viewer to complain.

A horrible thought, surely people would rebel, you think. Yet you would be surprised how many people agree with a statement made recently by Eric Schmidt, chairman and former CEO of Google: "Google chairman Eric Schmidt put it: "I actually think most people don't want Google to answer their questions. They want Google to tell them what they should be doing next."

Migrants swarm through EU back door along Serbia’s border with Hungary

Free movement of people within the European union would be a fine thing if the borders of EU nations were reasonably secure. It would be impossible to prevent illegal border crossings totally but that does not mean we should give up altogether. A global nation with no border controls is one of the sacred cows of the elite cultural Marxists who run the EU of course.


A sacred cow, because EU cultural Marxism demands of member nations an all embracing welfare state and socialized healthcare. And both of those are totally incompatible with globalization and open borders. What is going on now, on the Italian island of Lampedusa (reported elsewhere in this document) and along Hungary's border with Serbia, in effect the border between the relative prosperity of the EU and the poverty and instability of the Balkans, illustrates the problem very clearly.

So far this year (and it is only March 1 as I write), tens of thousands of migrants from the Middle East, Africa and Kosovo have been massing on Serbia’s border with Hungary, hoping to cross illegally into the European Union nation and flee west to a better life. Many have been on the road for months, having paid their life savings to people trafficking criminals, even prostituted themselves, in order to be herded into goods containers for the journey to a promise of a promised land where money is free. Exhausted, hungry and cold, they must walk over rough terrain for miles because the traffickers will not risk going too close to the trigger happy border guards.

What little these people have is carried in plastic bags. They camp in abandoned homes, followed by stray dogs hoping to snag a morsel.

It is all so reminiscent of the problem of would be migrants to Europe massing on Libya's Mediterranean coast.

Sometimes the migrants camp in the border area for days, hiding amid the crops, playing hide and seek with border patrols. Graffiti in Arabic, torn transit papers, ragged shirts and garbage litter the fields.
Serbian and Hungarian border teams carry night-vision equipment as they patrol the border night and day. The situation has deteriorated quickly probably for reasons too complex to analyse. It is now so serious that German police have recently been sent to the area to strengthen the border policing. Hungary is part of the European Union’s Schengen passport-free travel zone so once inside many migrants are aiming to reach Germany, the UK (which is not in the zone so undocumented migrants face another high risk crossing from Calais to the English channel ports) and wealthier EU nations.

In Calais, a border guard summed up the futility of trying to protect the borders when he said, "we pop them back over the fence, but they will return later." Pop them back over the fence. Why are we bothering at all? Why waste our money and their time with this pantomime? Why not just hand out the British passports at Calais from a fairground booth, no questions asked? We all know and they all know they are going to get them in the end when Labour get back in power.

Some reporters have suggested the Hungarian problem is Serbia's revenge against NATO countries for the atrocities committed by the USA and NATO in that country during the 1990s, after Yugoslavia was broken up.

Groups of five or six migrants walk furtively along the highway or the rail tracks in Serbia, hoping to find a safe place to cross. The Serbs are glad to see them go, Serbia is not an EU nation and has no bureaucratic rules imposed from outside its national borders that force the authorities to take care of migrants. As far as the Serbian authorities are concerned these people are just trouble.
If they are caught crossing the border, they are either deported to Macedonia from where most enter Serbia, or they seek asylum in Serbia, which buys them more time. Others make it across only to run into Hungarian authorities — some 25,000 migrants have been detained in Hungary so far this year alone, compared to nearly 45,000 last year.

This week, a van packed with more than 40 migrants swerved off the road in southern Serbia, injuring half of them, some seriously. The driver ran away. We have told similar stories of Africans being dumped in the desert as they headed for Spanish enclaves on the Moroccan coast, or being abandoned at sea as the unseaworthy craft they had been put in were approached by Italian coastguards.

The EU wants to bring in 50 million Africans, Arabs and Turks in the next 30 years. This is an official policy, they want borders to be open and they want none European people to come. As Berthold Brecht put it, if the government dislikes the people, it has to "dissolve" them; to replace the English, French, Dutch and German who (with a few unfortunate interruptions) have resisted authoritarian rule, with people from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa who think that corruption and dictatorship are the norm and will not complain about EU bureaucratic authoritarianism as long as they get 'free money'.
