Europes Tractor Protests Spread To Germany And Now Include Fishing Trawlers

Hundreds of farmers have descended in their tractors on a small German coastal town to protest measures imposed by the European Union as part of the Great Reset and the bid to 'save the planet' by reducing CO2 emissions from cow farts.

400 tractors reportedly gathered in the North Sea fishing port and tourist resort of Büsum on Wednesday to protest what is probably the most insane environmentalist policy dreamed up by the EU idealogues to day, to reduce the amount of nitrogen emitted by agricultural processes by attacking the way farmers produce our food. The policy is of course being gleefully and zealously being implemented by politicians in Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Madrid, Warsaw and other EU member states on their behalf.

The protest by German farmers follows a pattern set bu similar mass demonstrations in Belgium and the Netherlands, all of which were organised to express opposition the European Commission’s plan to reduce nitrogen pollution across the European continent, even if that means forcibly closing farms in some areas deemed to be problematic. What mystifies sensible people most about this policy is that nitrogen makes up over 75% of the eart's atmosphere and is essential to plant and animal life.

Such green agenda policies have angered many people in Germany, both in and beyond the agricultural sector with thousands of ordinary citizens joining the hundreds of farmers descending on Büsum to attend the three-day protest against green agenda rules imposed by regional, national and European authorities. 

While the policies of Germany’s ruling coalition, apparently dictated by the far left Green party and the Green farming minister Cem Özdemir are portrayed as being about animal welfare and a transition to organic farming, critics point out the inevitable results of these sound-good policies are farms with fewer animals producing less food, thus inevitably leading to higher food prices and more pressure on living standards.

Unfortunately though the nominally centrist Social Democrats (SDP) are the largest coalition partner, they are held to ransom by The Greens without whom the SDP could not form a sustainable coalition. Thus while claiming to be a moderte government the coalition is enacting increasingly extremist policies, especially on environment, immigration and social issues.

Özdemir for his part has said that while he takes “hunger very seriously”, nevertheless he believes “you shouldn’t misuse it as an argument to make compromises in terms of biodiversity and climate protection.” 

This is, of course, nor far removed from 'Let them eat cake,' and though Özdemir may not lose his head for making such a crass and ignorant remark, Germany's coalition government is looking increasingly unsustainable with the pro - business Free Democratic Party (FDP) having effectively quit due to losing half its support because it has supported far left policies imposed by The Greens.

The farmers protest in Büsum has been joined by at least 60 trawlers, the fishermen are set to hold a demonstration at sea in protest of an EU ban on certain types of trawling, a move that is set to severely damage Germany’s shrimp fishing industry. The EU says the fishing technique is harmful to the environment. Surprisingly perhaps, the Cultural Marxist idealists of the European Commissioners have not gone as far as to claim fishing is racist.

In spite of repeated repeated warnings from academics, business and welfare agencies that food production in the Europe is now under threat largely due to energy prices and the war in Ukraine, The Bureaucrats of Brussels have simply pressed ahead with their policy of making life impossible for farmers, in line with their ideological aim to shift wealth from Europe's prosperous liberal democracies to third world shitholes run by tyrannical dictators. To this end they have forced governments of member nations into implementing various restrictions on what fertilisers and pesticides they can use, often justifying any bans with totally spurious and pseudoscientific references to the environment.

By far the worst of these measures are those aimed at curbing the nitrogen content of European soils, with officials in Brussels outright ordering authorities in the Netherlands to forcibly shut down farms in the country in order to hit green targets set by EU bureaucrats which make no sense at all in either practical or scientific terms.

The threat of these forced farm shutdowns has been the trigger that provoked mass outrage in the country over the last year, culminating in the small FarmerCitizenMovement (BBB) party coming first in the country’s local elections last month.

Scientists say gruesome cigarette-style warnings on MEAT could be used to shame buyers

We have become desensitised to seeing the shocking images of black lungs and rotting teeth cigarette packets,  they were intended designed to put smokers off the unhealthy habit but in fact it is punitive taxes that reduced the prevelance of tobacco smoking in European aduts.

Even though the scare tactics were not 100% effective they did enough to encourage those control freaks we must call scientists, to suggest that that slapping similar stickers on packs of meat in supermarkets could help to shame buyers into accepting a diet of mashed bugs and plant based gunge like Quorn and Tofu.

The stickers being proposed could include images of animals looking scared, accompanied by messages such as: 'Animals suffer when you eat meat.' They could also include images of decimated forests with the words: 'The Amazon rainforest is destroyed when you eat meat.' A study from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where, as we reported last year, the authoritarian government is proposing to force many of the nation's farmers out of business in order to meet the EU's insane targets for reducing industrial emissions, found that consumers were less inclined to buy products featuring the labels.

'Meat-shaming messages trigger shame but also other negative emotions that translate into reduced purchase intentions,' the authors wrote. 

The question is will consumers buy plant based meat substitutes instead or will they simply find a traditional butcher who will serve their meat and meat products in a plain plastic wrapper?

The anti - meat activists scientists involved in the research say stickers could include sad images of animals, accompanied by messages such as 'animals suffer when you eat meat', or images of decimated forests reading, 'the Amazon rainforest is destroyed when you eat meat' 

A study from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands found that consumers were less inclined to buy products featuring the labels.

'Meat-shaming messages trigger shame but also other negative emotions that translate into reduced purchase intentions,' the authors wrote. 

 

 

The stickers could include images of animals, accompanied by messages such as 'animals suffer when you eat meat', or images of decimated forests reading, 'the Amazon rainforest is destroyed when you eat meat' 

The research team carried out three experiments using 'meat-shaming messages' to try to make consumers 'experience negative emotions and ultimately change their behaviour'.

The first experiment involved showing 161 volunteers one of two images of a packet of chicken breasts, one of which had a warning sticker.

This sticker had a photo of two battery chickens behind the bars of a cage, accompanied by the message 'eating meat makes animals suffer'.

Participants were then asked how likely they would be to buy the product, their emotional response, whether it would impact their future buying habits and how often they ate meat.

The results revealed that the warning label made consumers less inclined to purchase the chicken breasts, and even motivated them to eat less meat in the future.

In the second study, 483 volunteers were again shown packets of meat with one of six different meat-shaming labels.

Again, each had an image and message -two related to animal welfare, two related to environmental damage and two health-related.

One of each was accompanied by a 'personal' message - for example, 'By eating meat, you destroy the Amazon rainforest!' - while the other one had an 'informational' one - like 'Eating meat destroys the Amazon rainforest!'

One wonders how randomly the people selected for these very small samples were selected. It is surely the case that people not in any way sympathetic to vegan or green politics would be aware of the tactics these highly politicised campaigners use, and we also know after the fisascos of COVID and global warming that the words 'scientific' and 'integrity' should never appear next to each other.

'Our analyses show that adding a sticker to a meat package, warning potential customers about the negative consequences of their purchase, may be an effective way to influence buyers' behavior.'

For their study, published in Food Quality and Preference, researchers wanted to see if a 'confrontational approach' would have any impact on meat buying habits.

World Health Chiefs Say ‘Red Meat As Likely to Cause Cancer as Smoking’

The species is now only to be referred to as Lymantria dispar after a review from the Entomological Society of America (ESA), which concluded that some insect names “may be inappropriate or offensive” – in this case, towards the Romani people. The gypsy ant has met the same fate, while the Oriental rat flea, Asian needle ant and the West Indian cane weevil are all subject to revision from the ESA’s “Better Common Names Project”, which is asking for the public’s help in identifying potentially offensive terms. 

This battle is not just applied to mites, but birds – and the birdwatching community – too. The once peaceful pursuit has all of a sudden had the binoculars trained inwards as hundreds of names of species of birds, which have persisted for centuries, may be scrubbed out of history due to their colonial links.

The debate was prompted by a petition in the US last year calling for the removal of eponymous bird names that celebrate the colonialists who discovered them. Two birds have already had their names changed: the McCown’s longspur (named after John McCown, a Confederate general in the civil war) was retitled the thick-billed longspur; another species of wildfowl previously known as the oldsquaw has since been renamed the long-tailed duck, as the previous moniker was deemed offensive to indigenous groups.

The group insisting on the changes, Bird Names for Birders, has received thousands of signatures on a petition calling for more “harmful colonial” names of species to be removed. There is even talk of renaming the 116-year-old National Audubon Society (the US equivalent of the RSPB) due to the links to slavery of its founder, John James Audubon. .............. The junkiest of junk science however is always commissioned by public service organisations and is aimed at convincing the public that our public servants are doing a good job. Church That Celebrated ‘Black Lives Matter’ Burns in Kenosha, Wisconsin

After a night of rioting and looting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, one of the buildings to catch fire was a community church which displayed a marquee outside the building celebrating ‘Black Lives Matter’.

Oh, the irony.

Kenosha was hit by violent unrest after a video emerged showing a police officer firing several shots at close range into an African-American man’s back.

Jacob Blake is currently in serious condition at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee as of early Monday morning.

The fact that Blake had walked away from police and attempted to reach inside his vehicle before he was shot didn’t seem to matter to BLM protesters, who almost immediately gathered at the scene of the shooting.

Hamster Phone - not quite as we imagined but close

I guess you would have to be some kind of idiot genius to buy a dead hamster thinking it was a 3G phone movie player, internet access, a million ring tones and various hands free, ears free, brain free gizmos. But there's a small time criminal down in South Wales currently looking for such a punter.

So how did this crim. come to confuse such a phone with a dead hamster? Well the hamster was all packed up in a nice Eriksson box on the back seat of a parked car.

The hamster's owner is understandably distraught and is getting grief counselling because having been unable to bury his pet he needs to find closure so he can move on.

I can't help thinking however the dead hamster thief could be a struggling taxidermist looking for a way to boost trade. After all a hamster is just the right size to have a modern cellphone inserted in its furry little tummy and what better way to preserve the memory of a beloved pet could there be?

So if you are down in South Wales and you see people walking along the street chatting into a hamster's arse you will know what's going on.

A new hazard threatens the peace and security of the Nimby's who so recently fled the social chaos of the urban jungle to seek a better quality of life in the country. These people are now clamouring to get back into loft apartments cocooned safely in the regeneration areas of the city centres as nature red in tooth and claw conspires to drive them to new levels of paranoia. The nimbys are under threat as gangs on Badgers roam the fields and hedgerows threatening to spread T.B. and Bird Flu among dogs, cats, ornamental poultry and garden gnomes. The Badgers, mostly young and predominantly male, feel marginalised and alienated by the way their environment has been bulldozed to make way for Persimmon Homes Developments.
"I feel some sympathy for them in a way" said Chief Inspector Eric Hunt of the Merchantbankershire police, even a one bedroomed starter hole round here can cost close to quarter of a million. What chance has a local Badger of ever getting on the mortgage ladder?"
Investment Bankers Rupert and Jacintha Offcomer told Boggart Blog that the police are hostile to people like themselves because they are newcomers.
"Our cat Raffles is was traumatised when a young Badger in a hoodie stopped her and asked if she was sorted for TB and Bird Flu." she said Jacintha (32) and looking radiant in a scoop necked T-shirt from D&G.
Rupert (37) then added "that is just the kind of thing we moved out here to get away from as his wife broke down in tears.

"It's a difficult situation" said Eric Hunt, "We are trying to work with the leaders of the Badger community but each time we arrest a renegade Badger it just attracts new recruits for the gangs. Some people say we should get tough, but if you send an unruly young Badger to prison, a few months later you release a fully trained criminal into the community. No, I think we should persevere with Anti Social Badger Orders and ask the rich, privileged, egomaniacal cu..... country émigrés to be a little more tolerant. After all, the Badgers were here before the Bankers.
