Starmer The Only World Leader At COP29? Who Does He Think He's Kidding?

Two tier free gear Kweir Smarmer is attending the COP29 conference on the climate change crisis this week and mainstream media are trumpeting the claim that he, Starmer is the only world leader among the 66,000 grifters and freeloaders flown on private jets to Azerbaijan (wherever the fuck that is,) to attend this taxpayer funded elitist jolly. What makes those bozos who call themselves journalists think Smarmer is a world leader?

Addressing the conference, the National Socialist British Workers' Party Prime Minister told a 75% empty auditorium, "we will win the Net Zero."

He's right about that, there's nobody else left in it. But what does our virtue signalling ambition to be the first developed nation to totally destroy our economy mean in real terms? 

Smarmer was referring to his government's ambition to decarbonse the electricity system by 2030 .

Even if the government could rewrite the laws of physics and reach its target to decarbonise electricity production entirely by 2030 it still wouldn’t get it close to the new target of cutting overall emissions by a further two thirds by 2035, because electricity generation only currently accounts for 11 per cent of UK territorial emissions.

Just had my calculator out and found that China and India combined emit exactly 52 times as much CO2 as UK (nice coincidence that,) which means we produce as much in a year as they produce in a week. And their output is accelerating a lot faster than ours is being reduced.

In 2023 The UK was responsible for 0.8% of global CO2 emissions from human activity.

We have gained no discernable benefit from this at the cost of destroying our industrial base and sacrificing a significant chunk of our agriculture, as well as exporting millions of well paid jobs to those nations that do not give a tupenny fart about net zero.

My understanding of the plan to shut down all gas fired power stations by 2030 is to have a potential 90GW of wind in total, plus 40GW of solar for 130GW total. But the problem remains that those potential output levels can only be achieved in optimal weather conditions. During weeks like the two immediately prior to the current one (10 to 16 October 2024,) when there have been day long periods when the total installed generation capacity for wind produces an average of 5GW or less, we have a problem. Between 4pm and 8am there will be no solar at all, and minimal amounts even during the day so what will keep the lights on?

Currently we are in the situation of favouring wind power to the extent that media never mention the fact that gas fired power stations have to be kept running, sending their output down to earth, in case of sudden changes in wind speed because distribution grids cannot handle fluctuations in supply. Thus there must be some steady and reliable supply available to kick in should the wind drop sudenly or the sun disappear behind a bank of heavy cloud.

By November 2030, when the net zero zealots have closed all the cas fire power stations, peak demand (4pm or so?) will be well above 50GW, due to the move to heat pumps and EVs, and it will keep on rising. 

This cannot work. Its a recipe for nationwide blackouts with no spinning reserve to restart. Smarmer and his hapless, bacon sandwich regurgitating Energy Secretary, Ed Minibrained can make all the pledges they wish at COP29, but sooner or later reality is going to bite them on the arse as it has the leaders of China, India, USA, France,Germany, Australia, Japan and the rest of the world's major economies.

Farmers brought in Canterbury, Kent to a standstill this weekend when, in protest over food imports, convoys of slow moving tractors stopped traffic moving through the town centre and on the ring road.

The rally caused traffic gridlock across the city which culminated as more than 200 tractors, many bearing placards warning of the dangers of making food production unviable, joined the protest.

Police struggled manage the disruption as some drivers honked their horns in support.

The spectacle was organised by a new organisation, Fairness for Farmers, because of the effect of cheaper food, imported from Ukraine and from the elite's beloved third world countries where labour costs are low and regulations range from lax to non existent, enabl,e food imports to be sold more cheaply than UK farmers can produce it.

The high cost of UK food production is largely due to 'net zero' policies including taxes and levies on enery consumption, restrictions on use of fuel, fertiliser and pesticides, and high labour cost in a high tax society.

Farmers in Cardiff organised a tractor protest against the Welsh government’s new farm subsidy plans last week, which require farmers to allow 10 per cent of their land to be used for trees and 10 per cent for wildlife habitat, thus reducing land available for food production by one fifth.

According to South Wales Police about 3,000 people arrived at the Senedd, the Welsh parliament, while others attached placards to their tractors in  towns and villages across the country.

The Welsh scheme, which is purportedly designed to fight climate change although it is difficult to see how that would work when China is increasing emissioned by more each year than the UK produces in a whole year.However the Welsh government is socialist and common sense was never a strong point of socialism. Farmers' leaders warn it could lead to a 10.8 per cent reduction in livestock numbers and an 11 per cent loss in labour on farms, according to the Welsh government’s own projections.

The protests in Canterbury and Cardiff follow on from action in Kent at the end of last month which saw 20 tractors blockade a Supermarket car park in Ashford and farm vehicles block roads in and out of the Port of Dover.

A group of farmers stormed a major Paris farm fair today ahead of a planned visit by  President Macron amid anger over rising costs, particularly of energy, bureaucratic restrictions and green regulations linked to the EU wide 'net zero' policy. The farmers claim a combination of these things is making the profitable operation of a farm impossible, a point which is difficult to refute,

Confronted by dozens of police officers on duty at the trade fair, the farmers were shouting and booing, calling for the French president’s resignation.

“This is our home!”, they shouted, as French CRS riot police tried to contain the demonstration and keep the protests away from Macron. There were some violent clashes between police and demonstrators and several arrests were made.

“I’m saying this for all farmers: you’re not helping any of your colleagues by smashing up stands, you’re not helping any of your colleagues by making the show impossible, and in a way scaring families away from coming,” Mr Macron told reporters after a meeting with union leaders.

The Paris farm show is a major event in France, annually attracting around 600,000 visitors over nine days. It was meant to open at 9am on Friday. The doors were still closed at 0838 GMT, following the storming by angry farmers.

In a sign of tensions between French farmers and the government, Mr Macron cancelled a debate he wanted to hold at the fair today with farmers, food processors and retailers, after farmers unions said they would not take part.

looked at how much CO2 was produced when growing food in different types of urban farms and found that, on average, a serving of food made from traditional farms creates 0.07kg of CO2.

The impact on the environment is almost five times higher at 0.34kg per portion for individual gardens, such as vegetable patches or allotments.”

Jake Hawes, a PhD candidate at Michigan and first author of the study, said: “The most significant contributor to carbon emissions on the urban agriculture sites we studied was the infrastructure used to grow the food – from raised beds to garden sheds to pathways, these constructions had a lot of carbon invested in their construction.

The study, published in the journal Nature Cities, recruited 73 urban agriculture sites around the world, including Europe, the US, and the UK, and conducted a comprehensive life cycle assessment on the site’s infrastructure, irrigation and supplies.

Contrary to all the huffing and puffing in mainstream media about rising temperatures caused by Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions from human activity globally posing an existential threat to humanity, new evidence strongly suggests were in past warm periods for the planet average temperatures on Earth rising before an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide. These new findings are causing considerable concern in the world of climate change grifting where a political narrative claiming  'the science is settled' and promoting 'Net Zero' energy policies for future fuel needs, insists it is undeniable that temperatures rise after humans burn fossil fuels. The controversy has been building for about a year since initial findings were first published by the U.K. Royal Society.

It is worth pointing out before we go any further that previous warm eras, e.g. The Medieval Warm Period circa 900 - 1300 AD and the Roman warm period circa 100 BC to 400 AD occurred before humans stated producing CO2 emissions from large scare industrial activity.

The latest research, co - authored by four scientists led by Prof. Demetris Koutsoyiannis, uses sophisticated stochastic or change-formulated causality techniques to examine data from numerous temperature and CO₂ data sets over the last 60 years. As with the initial findings published by the Royal Society, they found the causality link placing a CO₂ rise ahead of temperature cannot be scientifically supported since it is clearly shown that temperature precedes CO₂ by six or more months. “All evidence resulting from the analysis suggests a unidirectional, potentially causal link with temperature as the cause and CO₂ as the effect,” they state.

The collectivist Net Zero project relies on the assumption that humans operate a climate thermostat by burning fossil fuel. The UN-backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change promotes the suggestion that all variation in the climate since 1900 has been caused by humans. But the hypothesis of anthropogenic climate change was always shaky since no scientist can prove the actual amount of warming to be expected, while scientific observations going back 600 million years offer little proof of a conclusive link.
