EU Parliament Votes For Toughest Ever Changes To Law OnIllegal Immigrant Treatment

Members of the European Parliament voted on Wednesday this week in favour of toughening migration rules in the EU to clamp down on illegal immigration. The result delighted the conservative and nationalist bloc but infuriated the left thus has highlighting a major rift between right-wing and left-wing MEPs.

The vote is a counterpoint to the European Migration Pact which came into force recently and angered the political right by imposing on EU member states a duty to accept quotas of illegal immigrants.  

The new rules on deporting people who have no legal right to be in EU nations, which include speeding up the deportation of bogus asylum seekers, boat people, visa overstayers, fake students, and anyone else who entered Europe illegally whose claims for sanctuary have been rejected, were originally proposed by the European Commission last year amid growing public discontent with an influx of illegal migrants posing as refugees and asylum seekers. The issue has dominated the bloc’s political landscape since 2015 when roughly a million undocumented immigrants entered the EU.

By 2025, the EU migrant population had reached a record 64.2 million, including around 46.7 million people born outside the bloc, according to a recent Berlin-based study using Eurostat and UN data.

Against this backdrop, right-wing parties advocating tougher policies on migration have been steadily gaining ground in multiple member states, including Germany. The mainstream Christian-Democrats and centre-right have had to co-opt some of the rhetoric they had previously denounced.

Among the new measures included in new EU  is a clause allowing controversial return hubs outside the bloc and home searches. These are the main points that aroused leftist anger, as  conservatives who had previously been 'on message' voted with so called far-right groups to pass the legislation. 

The vote confirmed the emergence of a right-leaning majority in Parliament on migration issues. The centre-right European People's Party (EPP) once again aligned with the right-wing European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) and the far-right Patriots for Europe (PfE) and Europe of Sovereign Nations (ESN).Several MEPs from the liberal Renew Europe group also back the bill.

The EPP continues to rule out formal cooperation with parties it considers too extreme, including the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) and France's National Rally and Vox in Spain. EPP leader Manfred Weber has repeatedly rejected the prospect of formal alliances with such forces 

But the EPP sees their votes as crucial for tougher migration legislation, creating an alternative majority to the traditional centrist coalition of the EPP, Socialists and Democrats (S&D) and Renew Europe.

Socialists and left-wing MEPs largely opposed the legislation, arguing that it could undermine migrants' fundamental rights.

European Commission Migration Commissioner Magnus Brunner and Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen said in a statement issued shortly after the vote: “Our citizens expect us to manage migration effectively. When people with no right to stay remain in the EU, the credibility of our entire migration policy is undermined … and [this] diminishes Europe’s ability to attract and retain talent and skills.”

With anti-immigrant sentiment boosting far-right parties across Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands and Sweden, Europe’s center right — led by the European People’s Party (EPP) — is scrambling to prove to voters that the political mainstream still has migration under control​.

The Commission’s initiative derives from a striking statistic: In 2023 over 480,000 people were ordered to leave the EU — but only one in five actually did so​.

While the official goal of the plan is to enforce existing migration rules, the primary aim is political: Holding off the far right.

“Migration … is often exploited by populists for political gain,” Virkkunen said.

The Far Right Are On The March - Should We Be Afraid?

 

According to many talking heads on TV and internet video blogs the 'far right' are currently posing threats to democracy and the rule of law throughout Europe as well as in the UK. But who are these terrifying monsters and what do they stand for?

The rise of new, populist parties can be attributed largely to mass immigration. Over the past 25 years millions of poorly educated, unskilled migrants have entered European nations and caused havoc by their inability and unwilligness to integrate with local society and custioms. This blog has written many thousands of words on the topic. It now seems, however, that the normally placid and tolerant British have had enough. A very ugly mood has developed among the white working class since the Labour government assumed power in July 2024.

Between the riots of last summer and record migration rates of 900,000 in 2023, a less aggressive feeling of discontent has been superseded by anger due largely to the renewed controversy over Asian rape gangs and in particular, the apparent failures and cover-ups by establishment politicians. 

Farage’s softer nationalism, as well as his online spat with Elon Musk over support for the activist Tommy Robinson, has presented fringe groups to the right of Reform UK with an opportunity. Reflecting a resurgent brand of impassioned ethnonationalism, it is understandable that they feel like their moment has come.

At heart, the ethnonationalist believes that nationhood,  and the resultant social and political benefits,  can only truly be shared by those with a common race. Their movement is fuelled by the sense of a coming threat, the idea that a racial identity dating back over a thousand years could be wiped out. The flood of immigration in recent years and the ensuing change to Britain’s ethnic make-up has given succour to ethnonationalist arguments, and these are growing louder on the political fringes.

The far-Right in the UK was once dominated by the British National Party, led in its heyday by Nick Griffin. The BNP reached its peak in 2009 when it secured two MEPs and a little under a million votes in European Parliament elections — spurred on by migration figures that had reached around 200,000 after which, under constant attack from left wing media and intense scrutiny from the 'Thought Police' it faded rapidly.

The ethno-nationalists that are now being referred to as 'far right' to are depressing but can a better case be made for the ethnic state, a British Britain? After all Japan has remained Japanese and is anyone calling her racist? Then there is a much wider, more respectable and accepted desire to reduce the amount and speed of immigration, as suggested by Reform; which is actually driven by a desire to preserve the white British. 

Then again, in the 19th c. ethnic citizen states like Italy or Greece were liberal causes, in opposition to reactionary dynastic Empires like Hapsburg Austria or Ottoman Turkey.

 Further consider Britain in 1945. It was essentially a white British country with a common history, common culture and common ‘race’ – yes, there tiny exceptions. But wasn’t there a far greater sense of a national community and sense of social solidarity, and a far greater trust in our government and media? There were acute social divisions but these were family arguments which could be forthrightly addressed and we had the Attlee Labour government reforms – there was some real levelling up.

Compare that with today where England has become Multiracial-land. A sense of ‘us’and ‘our country’ has gone as population growth is now due entirely to immigration, we’ve become consumers not citizens and we distrust and even loathe our politicians and MSM, mainstream media – now the guard dogs of the establishment rather than watchdogs of the people – and even free speech is under threat as 'far left' Prime Minister Kweir Smarmer promises to jail anybody who challenges the government on any controversial issue.

So though we are richer, or some of us are, things are worse and isn’t that largely due to mass immigration, a policy  which, incidentally, has never ben put to the electorate and so has never enjoyed a democratic mandate no democratic mandate?

Shouldn’t we have seen that diversity, a key cause of civil conflict worldwide, is foolish to import?

Doesn’t basic evolutionary theory suggest in an imperfect world that having people like you as fellow citizens is wise – follow the science? In our affirmation of multiculturalism we affirm the ethnicity of the minorities so why not our own? Kaufmann in his White Shift predicts with continuing immigration there will be no white British at a point in the next century. Are we sure that’s a social good?

If we insist that it is, that we must all be racially beige, are we telling the rest of the world that , and that they must follow us, and what will they say? Yes, there is the USA, but how is it doing for social cohesion of a multi ethnic, multi cultural population?

Now we do know about the hideousness of uber nationalism, the one thing schools tell you about, but isn’t a moderate ethnic nationalism a real good, an essential social glue? We respect it in Ukraine after all. Think about it. If we are white, aren’t we a bit neurotic about race? It is actually part of who we are and it is actually OK. IT DOESN’T MAKE US BETTER OR WORSE, we are all part of a common humanity, but just a little different – if we looked in the mirror one morning and saw a change it would be a shock.

All this applies to any race, of course and we just need mutual respect, but for us whites too, and for our countries and our cultures as well. And for the people Lownie refers to, the British ethno-nationalists, Goodhart’s Somewhere People and often left behind too, who in their frustration and anger get it so wrong, and so conveniently can be ignored, might not a firm and fair commitment to the historic population, properly led by the educated, be what we all need?

Germany's Authoritarian Ruling Coalition Tries To Stay In Power By Banning Opposition Parties - Haven't We Been Here Before?

This blog and our other sites have reported many times over the past few years how a kind of political authoritarianism last seen in the early 1930s is on the rise again in its traditional home, Germany. Despite all the warning published by alt_news reporters and commentators, and even by mainstream media the race to the far right goes on, with the parties of Germany's ruling coalition claiming that democratic election results must be overturned and opposition parties banned from running for election in order to 'protect democracy'

Germany is heading closer to outright fascism as the establishment parties move to completely ban the rival Alternative for Germany party (AfD), currently the second-strongest party in the country, according to polling. Now, 10 MPs from four parties, each, totaling 40 MPs from the Christian Democrats (CDU), the Left Party, the Greens, and the Social Democrats (SPD) will put forward a motion to ban the party because it is a “threat to democracy.”

The motion was drawn up by Saxon CDU MP Marco Wanderwitz, who personally lost his local election to an AfD politician but is only in parliament because he was also included on the CDU’s election list. As Remix News has reported, he has been working for at least a year to gather enough support from members of parliament to pass a ban on the AfD.

Although Wanderwitz has struggled to get the required 37 signatures to put forward the motion, now that many of the ruling establishment parties have lost by huge margins in the eastern state of Thuringia, Brandenburg, and Saxony, his work has been easier.

Elsewhere reports are emerging that the German government is facing a ten billion Euros deficit related to promised 2025 welfare payments to overwhelmingly non-German “migrants,” which it euphemistically and sadistically calls “citizens’ money.”

Bild reports: 

“The German federal government has “miscalculated” billions in welfare payments, known as citizens’ money, with their initial estimate of €36 billion far short of the €46 billion reportedly needed.

It is also alleged that payments to migrants now account for half of Germany's welfare budged

In documents obtained by Bild newspaper, the German labor ministry assumes an average of 2.9 million people are in need of welfare parents in the documents for the “2025 budget,” dated from August 2024. However, this document indicates that the expenditure on standard rates and accommodation costs is expected to total €45.6 billion, which is a far cry from the €36 billion set in the 2025 citizen’s allowance budget.

The huge discrepancy has sparked outrage, but Hubertus Heil’s (SPD) labor ministry told Bild that the figures published “are not comprehensible and are methodologically based on several false assumptions… For example, a significant portion of the costs of accommodation are to be covered by the municipalities and are therefore not relevant to the federal budget in the amount stated.”

"Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the German president, recently warned in a speech to the country’s domestic intelligence agency that “we all have it in our hands to put those who despise our democracy in their place”.

Far be it from we Boggart Bloggers to tell the German nation how to conduct their affairs but, if our understanding of 20th century German history is correct, we advise current German politicians to recall that a ceertain Herr A H was successful in politics because he secured power by demonising and banning opposition parties, that succeeded in the short term but on a longer timeline did not end well for either the German nation or Herr A H and his supporters.  

We have all been pretty shocked at how quickly and easily large proportions of many nations and their engines of authority, including our own, succumb to unscrupulous tactics which use scaremongering propaganda to capitalise on fear and panic.

Perhaps, rather than assuming people on the right of the voting spectrum despise democracy, Mr Steinmeier and the politicians in Germany's ruling coalition might reflect that some of us, in the UK and surely also in Germany, are deeply concerned at the cavalier attitude towards democracy that our governments have displayed recently. He might turn his attention to why it is that the "far right" AfD appear to be gaining ground in the political field? Is he accusing his fellow countrymen of a lack of decency and discernment, or is it something to do with the way authoritarian way Brussels and the German government treat the people and some other governments of Europe?

Far Right Activism? Criminal Thuggery? The Government Hasn't A Clue Why The White Working Class Are Rioting

 

Outbreaks of rioting seem to happen about once every ten years in Britain according to some mainstream commentators whose editors require them to deflect attention from the true causes of the recent outbreak of civil unrest in Britain. This defelection relies on the consumers of news having short enough memories to have forgotten the rioting and looting in 2020, ostensibly over the death in a city almost 5000 miles away of a drug dealer, career criminal and small time dickhead who was resisting arrest.

There was an outbreak of rioting in 2011 over the death of another small time dickhead in London, which led to buildings being destroyed and left hundreds of people injured and dozens homeless. Sometimes it’s Afro-Caribbeans protesting (Brixton in 1981), sometimes Asians (Oldham in 2001 and Birmingham 2005). In 2022 tensions between Mulim and Hindu communities in Leicester led to rioting involving thousands of people and caused widespread damage to property.  The white working classes rioted over the poll tax in 1990 and in Southport this year rioting was triggered by an apparently motiveless attack on young children at a dance class. The riot in Harehills, Leeds, last month was precipitated by social services removing children from a Roma couple.

Whatever triggers the unrest, the common thread is that the the riots involve mindless destruction. Rioters smash and burn their own communities and opportunists descend, trying to exploit the situation for political ends. .

So it is with the current round of riots, which began in Southport last week, sparked by the killing of three girls, and the serious injury of several others, at the previously mentioned dance class. The riots have since spread from an initial attack on a Southport mosque to targets as diverse as a police station in Sunderland, a library in Liverpool and a branch of Shoezone in Hull.

A quick review of rioting over the past 50 years reveals that racial tension is often, but not always involved and many outbreaks seem to occur in areas with lrge immigrant communities. Recently it has become fahionable to brand the rioters as 'fsr right thugs' and racists but this is a diversion used by politicians who do not want to address the real cases.

The term ‘far right’ has become seriously debased in recent years. If you opposed illegal migration or the Covid lockdowns or the imposition of low traffic neighbourhoods you might be called ‘far right’. While true that some of the current crop of rioters may have had have afilliations with groups like now defunct The English Defence League we should be cateful not to creat conveniemt hobgoblins on which to plave blame for the failures of the state. . Some seem to be motivated by racial ideology, waving banners that say things like ‘There ain’t no black in the Union Jack’ but most are simply frustrated working class pople who feel their class has been abandoned and their concerns ignored by the government and instiutions of state. Onc commentator remarked of the Prime Minister, whose robot - like, technocratic resposes have, after only four weeks in office, discredited him completely:

'Starmer has played into the hands of those who claim the white working classes are discriminated against'

It didn’t take long for the 'far left' Labour government to say it was ‘looking at’ banning the English Defence League, though the EDL no longer really exists, and hasn’t for years. In contrast to many European countries, Britain doesn’t have a far-right political party, or even a far-right movement of any significance. What has happened over the past week is a spontaneous eruption of violence as a means of releasing the pent up anger of the white working class at what they perceive as the preferential treatment given to minorities. Opportunistic rabble-rousers of all types have been galvanised by social media. As with most riots, discontent has spawned discontent.

This makes these riots extremely difficult to tackle from a legislative point of view. There is very little to ban – unless the government wants to stop adults communicating on social media. Even a Humza Yousaf-style hate crime bill would be unable to be used against many of the perpetrators.

Keir Starmer has not yet made any huge and obvious mistakes such as jetting off on holiday in the middle of the crisis (as Frence's Macron did,) but his refusal to admit that there is now a two tier system of policing and justice in the country suggests there is little chance of his so far inept performance improving. But in dismissing the protests at the work of  'far right' activists as the principal threat facing Britain, and failing to recognise the genuine worries the working class have about mass immigration, net zero and other sacred cow policies of the globalist left, he has sent a message to those working class protestors that far from being at the top of his list of priorities, they aren't even on it.

The hypocritical behaviour of the government is astonishing. The man who took the knee in solidarity with violent rioters in Portland (USA) is now condemning violence on a smaller scale in our own country. The only difference is that the main rioters this time are “right wing thugs”. Why were charges against Islamists screaming for Jews to be raped and killed discreetly dropped? Why, for that matter, are the current “anti-racist” demonstrators praised when they are the same crew who march in London and elsewhere demanding the right of Palestinian terrorists to murder Jews. Or is that not racist? Why are anti-capitalist rioters so often described as protesters or activists? Where were the police when cities and motorways were brought to a standstill by green so-called activists?
Of course the extreme right are only too happy to highlight the different approaches to extremism. The left, not least through successive governments falling for the critical social-justice nonsense and multiculturalism, have sown division and discord. It’s coming back to bite us all in the arse!
It’s all very well the PM and Met chief saying that policing and the justice system are applied the same way across communities, but actions speak louder than words.The government and police need to be SEEN to be acting impartially and without fear of offending anyone.
Violence is wrong. The rioters should be stopped. So should those from the left wing, eco warriors, anti-racists and pro-terrorists who are violent, disruptive, threatening and incite violence. Three years sentence for some right-wing thug punching a policeman during a riot; good! More! More! But we’ve all seen equal violence leading to much lighter sentences for other groups.
When a large swathe of the population feel mistreated and marginalised in their multi-generational home it always leads, in the end, to pandemonium. If the current hypocritical approach does not change you can pretty much guarantee further trouble.

 If you encourage your ‘impartial’ employees to take the knee in support of a left-wing movement and then crack down hard on a right-wing movement you mustn’t be surprised if people accuse you of two-tier policing.
Similarly if you provide a uniformed escort for left-wing protesters who are loudly shouting anti-Semitic slogans and tell a much smaller and quieter Jewish group to take their placards home or face arrest.
Similarly if, when confronted with a video of a balaclava-clad young men (one of whom has a knife) menacing a television reporter, you explain that it’s OK because you have had conversations with community leaders to understand the style of policing you need to deliver.
Similarly if you snatch away a journalist’s microphone when he asks an unwelcome question about two-tier policing.
