Drug Gang Leader Avoids Deportation To Nigeria On Human Rights Claim

The leader of a county lines gang who has dealt drugs since he was a teenager avoided deportation to Nigeria when his lawyers claimed it would breach his rights to a family life under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

Having been previously jailed for eight years (out in four?) for supplying drugs, the defendant also successfully argued that he could not be returned to the West African country because it did not have adequate psychiatric care to treat his mental health problems.

The 29-year-old, who has been granted anonymity by the courts, claimed it would be a breach of his Article 3 rights under the ECHR because deportation would be inhuman and degrading by denying him the medical treatment he needed. His claim against deportation was initially rejected by an immigration tribunal amid allegations that some of his claims about his family were “a work of fiction”, but the removal order was overturned on appeal.

The tribunal was told he came to Britain from Nigeria at the age of 10, and remained in the country illegally after overstaying his visa. He was dealing drugs by the age of 15 and was convicted six years later in 2016 of possession with intent to supply both cocaine and heroin.

Despite being handed a suspended jail sentence for that offence, he continued to run an “efficient” drugs line in Farnborough, using “people he could trust, including a young man who was only 17”, according to the court documents.

He and his girlfriend were making up to £5,000 a week from their drugs network, which he “masterminded”, advertising for clients on social media. A police investigation resulted in his conviction and sentencing to eight years in jail in July 2018.

The Home Office sought to deport him on his release on the basis that he was a danger to the public with a “significant number” of criminal convictions and having spent periods in and out of jail. It rejected his claims that his removal to Nigeria would breach his right to a family life and damage his mental health.

The right to family life under the European Human Rights act has been responsible for so much suffering. It was only a few years ago that we learnt it was the main reason for Paistani men raping English girls is because if the girls are repeatedly raped until they become pregnant, the father gets to live in the UK because of his right to family life.

Surely the whole issue is about responsibility and that once these people break the law they should be deported, it being their responsibility for breaking the law. As for the reasons they come up with, anyone with a shred of common sense can see these people are playing the system. As someone said earlier, why should the other people in the country have to suffer from their criminal activities while they evade justice because of their human rights. We must take to the streets and force the government to leave the EHCR or accept thst as Britain is a sovereign nation, British law supersedes anything the virtue signlling ouanquers in Brussels try to impoe on us.

Once again we have been shown that in the yes of the ruling elite a criminal's rights trump those of the general public. This guy will be back on the streets in 4 years trading drugs. Next he'll kill someone and we'll go through the same 'human rights' pantomine again.

Poland Runs Out Of PowerAnd Comes To A Standstill And Electricity Prices Soar As Wind Fails

 

When the dunkelflaute weather phenomenon set in recently in Poland, and a high pressure area covering most of north west Europe stilled the winds, many companies were left without any power. Luckily, no domestic users were affected, but due to the power shortages, power prices jumped by several dozen percent. 

Not all sections of the national community responded to requests from Poland’s transmission system operator (PSE) turned the  generators up to eleven or limited consumption. Germany and Sweden did ultimately come through with exports, as well as Ukraine, which needed to dump some of its excess energy, according to the Polish edition of Business Insider. 

The fact that Ukraine sent electricity to Poland is ironic, as KO MP Paweł Kowal recently told listeners on Radio Zet that Poland has to export “cheap electricity” from its coal-fired power plants minus any Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) costs.

When the wind stopped blowing recently in Poland, many companies were left without any power. Luckily, no households were affected, but due to the power shortages, power prices jumped by several dozen percent.

Germany and Sweden did ultimately come through with exports, as well as Ukraine, which needed to dump some of its excess energy, writes Poland’s Business Insider. 

The fact that Ukraine sent electricity to Poland is ironic, as KO MP Paweł Kowal recently told listeners on Radio Zet that Poland has to sell “cheap electricity” from its coal-fired power plants minus any Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) costs.

Poland has been suffering from low wind since Nov. 5, according to BI, which has resulted in a drop in electricity production from wind turbines to 19.8 GWh, and the day after to 6 GWh. 

The spot price set for electricity for Nov. 6, jumped to as much as PLN 882 per MWh. PSE’s eventual success in getting imports saw the price fall to PLN 543 the following day.

Late October, there had been a similar problem with a drop in wind, but photovoltaics covered the shortfall. Now, as days are getting shorter, there is also less and less energy from the sun at lower elevations.

This is when conventional power plants have to step in, and there are still mainly coal-fired plants in Poland. But the costs of running these currently, due to EU regulations on emissions, make them unprofitable.

“By the start of the 2030s, if we do not manage to extend the life of coal-fired units in any way, and there is a high risk that we will not succeed for technical reasons, regardless of legal solutions, we will need about 12 GW of gas power (…) and we currently have 3 GW of contracted power,” said Grzegorz Onichimowski, president of PSE, at a press conference.

Meanwhile, the recent drop in wind turbine production was not compensated by the launch of the largest gas-fired power plant in Poland. Electricity production from gas has been breaking daily records, but it could not compensate for the losses in wind turbine generation.

Will Trump Blow Away Net Zero?

With UK Energy Secretary Ed Minibrained's plans to decarbonise the electricity grid by 2030 in ruins after  the National Energy System Operator (NESO) finally publi9or anyone else for that matter,)shed its analysis of his plans to decarbonise the entire electricity grid in just five years, and the re - election of Donald Trump across the pont a sure signal that the USA will now turn away from the idiotic Green New Deal committment to abandon the use of reliable energy sources is there a future for CO2 free power after Germany's government collapsed because of problems caused by the government's rush to decarbonise.

Instead of a clean, green, electricity starved Brave New World, the man who wants to quit the Paris Agreement and once called efforts to boost green energy a “scam” has clinched the popular vote. 

“THE WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL CLIMATE DENIER IS BACK IN THE WHITE HOUSE,” howled Friends of the Earth, though I don’t recall Donald Trump (or anyone else for that mater,) ever denying the existence of a climate. “The world feels a whole lot more terrifying this morning… [we] will try even harder to light candles rather than curse the darkness,” tweeted Caroline Lucas, though presumably we’ll all be lighting candles when Mr Miliband has made us completely dependent on renewables and the wind does not blow in the short,dark days of winter.

No wonder some green activists are feeling suicidal: Mr Trump could be about to expose the conceit at the heart of their crusade. For years we have been fed the myth that the only way for our advanced economy to mitigate climate change is with more austere lifestyles. “Cut back, you don’t really need all the trappings of modernity anyway “, is their message.

“Leading the world on climate change is the right thing to do,” the grandstanding navel-gazers proclaim, even though no one is following. Now we could be about to see that narrative set against an agenda of abundance, one which puts faith in capitalism and technological innovation to lead the low carbon transition because, the green loons like to claim, there is no other way to save the planet.

There's this thing called an "LFTR" - Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor.

The technology is not new - Italian physicist Enrico Fermi first experimented with the technology in 1942 and there were several successful trials in the 1960s, but, because the thorium process did not produce weapons-grade radio active material further development towards commercial operation was discontinued!!

An LFTR could produce the same amount of energy from 1 tonne of thorium as is obtained from 200 tonnes of uranium used in a Light Water Reactor (LWR). And the thorium "burn" is greater than that of uranium.

Hence LFTRs produce a fraction of the quantity of nuclear waste produced by LWRs, with thorium waste having a maximum half-life of 300 years against the 100,000 year half-life of waste produced from uranium. This removes a huge amount of the risk factor green loons have used to argue against CO2 emmission free nulear energy, and LFTR safety factors means a negligible chance of catastrophic failure.

Copenhagen Atomics will have a trial reactor in operation next year and their intent is to have 100MW modular reactors - SMRs, in effect - being produced on a daily basis thereafter. These will be housed in a unit the size of a 40ft container.

And the Chinese are currently conducting an LFTR trial as we speak, supplying electricity to 1,000 homes, which, if successful, their aim is to have a 370MW LFTR in operation by 2030.

I seriously keep my fingers crossed - the success of LFTRs will see the instant destruction of the complete and utter nonsense and profligacy that is the wind and solar industry. 

This blog has of course always argued that nuclear was the way forward for electricity generation, though we are not against coal and gas because of CO2 driven climate change hysteria but because extracting coal, oil and gas becomes more expensive and impractical as we use up the easily accessed resources at an accelerating rate.

Afghan Migrant goes On Stabbing Spree At Anti - Islam Protest In Germany

 

An 25 year old Afgan immigrant went on a stabbing spree at an anti-Islam event allegedly orgaised by a 'right wing' group in Mannheim, Germany on Friday. The attack left one police officer dead and 5 other people wounded, according to news reports. The attacker was eventually shot by police and is now hospital  the Associated Press reports. The attack was captured on video shared on X (formerly Twitter.)

The recording shows a bearded man running around and stabbing multiple people. He was knocked to the ground several times by people trying to subdue him but he managed to continuously get back up and carry on with the attack.

The video also showed a police officer holding the wrong man down on the ground. The attacker then stabbed that police officer in the neck before another officer shot the man and finally subdued him.

The attacker was identified as a 25-year-old immigrant from Afghanistan. A judge has ordered that he be held on suspicion of attempted murder. Authorities have not provided a motive for the attack (which is similar to the UK governments trying to deny that the recent killing of three children was a terrorist attack,) and reported that he was not in a condition to be interrogated.

The 29-year-old police officer who died in the attack was stabbed several times in the neck and head by the immigrant and initially underwent emergency surgery on Friday. He was placed in a coma and but died of his injuries later.

One of the victims was 59-year-old Michael Stürzenberger, an anti-Islam activist who was slated to speak at the event, organized by Citizens Movement Pax Europa, The Telegraph reports.

The other victims were men aged 25, 36, 42, and 54.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who as well as facing the collapse of his ruling coalition and an economic crisis has immigration problems on a far greater scale to deal with posted to X that he was "deeply grieved" by the death of the police officer and that his "commitment to the safety of us all deserves the highest recognition."

Destroying the small farmer: Another Policy From Starmer & Co That Echoes The Bolsheviks

 

Angered by Labour Chancellor Rachel Reeves inheritance tax grab on their property, British farmers are planning a breakaway inheritance tax protest after the National Farmers’ Union (NFU), threatened with legal sanctions by the authoritarian government declined to back a mass demonstration in London on November 19th.

The NFU has urged people to stay away from the streets of London on the day of its planned lobby event, on which has been capped at 1,800 members.

Who wants to be a Millionaire presenter Jeremy Clarkson was among hundreds of farmers who had planned to travel to London to protest alongside the event on Nov 19. But the NFU wrote to members on Wednesday, saying only the 1,800 who had registered to attend its event at the Church House conference centre in Westminster should attend.

A separate group of farmers has now applied for permission to hold a protest march on the same day, and hopes to bring thousands to the city. The the protests, which a intended to have the same effect as farmers protests across Europe last year against a similar attack by EU officials on the farming industry, and which forced the EU to back down on punitive fuel taxes and 'green' regulations which would have forced many farmers to destroy half their livestock.

Farmers will have to pay inheritance tax on estates worth more than £1 million under changes, introduced in the Budget, which have been criticised as disastrous for family farms.

Nigel Farage accused Labour of trying to “destroy the small family run farm” with the tax raid.

There are ominous parallels between Labour's attack on independent farmers and the Bolsheviks’ destruction of millions of Russian kulaks almost 100 years ago. The kulaks were the richer peasants who fiercely opposed Bolshevik rule. They emerged as natural leaders in their village communities and represented a rival authority to the absolute power of the Marxist state.

The Soviet government began by increasing the taxes imposed on them and mounting a campaign of propaganda to vilify them as enemies of the people. They ended by wholesale expropriation of everything the kulaks owned, starvation, deportation to Siberia, imprisonment and execution.  It is doubtful SStarmer or any of his snivelling sidekicks would have the Testicular Fortitude to go that far, but their four months in power to date have shown unprecedented hostility towards farmers, rural communities and the white working class in general. And with four years and eight months to go who knows where it will end.

It’s impossible to say what will be the full effect of the removal of the protection of farmers from inheritance tax which has been government policy since 1976. But it is unlikely to be beneficial for family farms, rural communities, food production or the beauty of England’s remaining countryside, created and maintained by generations of the very people who are this government’s sights.

However, in view of a careless remark by one Labour MP that putting farms out of business would free up land for more important things gives us grounds to suspect this was a deliberate ploy by Labour to free up land for solar and wind farms, then will what’s left will be auctioned off to globalist corporations or the wealthy to receive green subsidies or tax breaks for 'rewilding? 

The sad fact is that we obviously need our farmers to produce food for our own people, but clearly Labour would rather we were entirely dependent on imports from the EU, maybe in an attempt to force us back into the EU. Starmer and Labour cannot be trusted to deliver on anything that would benefit the people of this country, they have their own  totalitarian, Marxist agenda. 

With luck Trump will really embarrass them in the coming months and years, to expose SStarmer and his party for what they really are, a far-left Marxist, socialist, selfish woke idiots who couldn’t organise a heavy drinking session in a fermentary! Just like the US, Britain needs fixing too, but Labour are going in the opposite direction to what is needed, and so need to be challenged on every ridiculous policy they come up with and ideally, removed from power before they completely ruin our country? 

How much damage has to be done before people wake up to the reality? They MUST be held to account for their lies, such as the emerging true costs of Net Zero which will ruin us all.

Now It's Over We Can Ask Why Did The Polls Get It So Wrong Again?

 For several months now, here in the UK and Europe as well as the USA mainstream media have been obsessing over polls, predictions and pronouncements about the outcome of the American the presidential election. Many of these polling based predictions presented their conclusions with a level of confidence which belied the data, disregarded the limitations of opinion polling and made mockery the democratic process. And most predicted a win for Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris

Yesterday we on the saner side of the pond woke to hear that the US electorate had chosen Donald Trump to be their president again.  So we have a right, have we not, to ask WTF was all that bollocks about polls indicating the Democrats were about to scre a landslide victory that would humiliate Donald Trump and destry the Republican Party about?

Throughout this election campaign I have avoided commnting on the election because things have become so crazy in American politics that to merely point out that the polling companies were skewing data in order to give the impression Kamala Harris was ahead and thus nudge voters towards her was sure to attract venomous attacks from lefties, with accusations that the author murdered grsnnies, ate babies for lunch and habitually molested small furry animals.

There was no point trying to explain that one was not a Trump supporter but simply had conccerns about the way polling companies were skewing their findings.

Here are a few points on polling techniques and the manipulatio9as the case may be,n of data. . First of all it should be clear to anybody with more brain cells than they have tits or testicles  that (as the case may be,) that polls are not able to 'predict' the outcome of elections with any degree of certainty. 

  That has been obvious for some time and manifests itself in different polls having different results at similar times. Turning to the question as to whether the polls are manipulated or used to manipulate,  the latter is more likely than the former...BUT... Here we have to differentiate between who makes the poll, who pays for the poll and who publishes the poll. 

 Many polls are produced by research companies adding or including the questions in surveys they are already doing (e.g. omnibus surveys where clients buy a few questions rather than a whole survey). The cost of doing them is low and they may publish them for free. Some have agreements with newspapers, but when I last discussed this with a very senior newspaper person the view was 'they're not worth paying for, so we don't pay them any more.' 

Clearly who publishes what and how they report/spin it does mean they can be used to influence. Polling companies have always been open about the fact that they adjust or 'weight' results. Some of these weightings are 'everyday' (e.g. weighting it by age and region to match the population) others seemed to be more 'judgemental' (e.g. adjusting for likelihood to vote or the 'shy Trumper' phenomenom).

On the other had pollsters  are in denial about the fact that they present their data with a level of certainty that wasn't justified. Challenge organisation that have published polls which were 'wrong,' and they will cite a litany of excuses, usually concluding that their results were in fact correct but hve been misuderstood. 

Opinion pollsters, of neccessity, have to rely on a number of assumptions, all of which are precarious and easily to be incorrect and the general problems are multiplied tenfold for political polling. The organisers have to assume that they have asked a cross section of people who accurately represent the entire constituency. Which of course presupposes that the pollsters also have a very deep and accurate knowledge of all the demographics of that constituency. 

They have to get answers from all of that representative sample otherwise it will no longer be a properly representative sample. They have to assume that every one of those people is telling the truth about who they support. They have to assume that none of those people will change their mind before polling day and they have to assume that all of them will in fact vote.

If the race is a particularly tight one all of these factors have to be pinpoint accurate. Just one percentage point wrong can skew the entire sample. Then there may be rogue factors in particular cases, such as the data not giving an answer the customer wants and the pollster surreptitiously changing the results. And are all the individuals carrying out the polling 100% trustworthy? I doubt that they are particularly well paid and may well take short cuts to get the job done. Individual political bias is also a constant possibility.

Under all these circumstances, the most surprising thing is that any poll manages even to get close to reality.

A prime example of how polls are used tio manipulate opinion rather than simply reflect it occurred in the Scottish independence referendum of 2014. Shortly after the result was published, in  an article about the “Yes” campaign, nationalist leaders openly admitted that the strategy was to “create a sense of inevitability” in order to suppress the “No” vote in Glasgow, because it could disproportionately affect the overall result. Although they didn't say so in the published piece, it's clear now that the polls produced by “Yes” and its friendly media outlets over the summer of 2014 showing them with a narrow lead formed part of that effort.

Now look at that poll in the strongly Republican state of Iowa just four days before the vote  that put Harris three points ahead in the midwest state. Normally a poll in an individual US state would not attract much attention outside that state, but this particular poll  ecame the top news story not just in the USA but also in Europe and around the world. Though it had been clear since the early of October that the Harris campaign was in trouble and the momentum was with Trump, pundits responded to that Iowa poll by commenting that it indicated a late suge of support for the Democrat and surely meant Trump's bid to regain The White House was doomed.

 In the event Trump won Iowa by 13 points. So WTF was that  that polling nonsense about?
