As Russia Steps Up Infrastructure Bombardment Ukie Air Defence Success Claims Are Fake

Throughout the past few months Russian forces have been conducting mass missile and drone strikes against Ukraine targeting, with considerable success according to reasonably reliable sources (nobody truly knows the full situation of the conflict, tht is the nature of war,) while the Ukrainian air defense troops claim they have intercepted and destroyed the majorityof the bombardment and sometimes even claim they have destroyed more missiles and drones than the Russians have launched according to data from United Nations sataeelite data.

After yesterday's wave of strikes which once again inflicted damage on Ukrainian energy infrastructure Ukrainian media repeated such claims:

Russia's largest attack: Ukraine's defence forces destroy over 200 out of 236 Russian missiles and drones - Ukrainska Pravda

Russia launched 236 aerial weapons on Ukraine on Monday, 26 August. Ukraine's air defence downed 102 missiles and 99 attack drones.

Source: Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of Ukraine’s Air Force, on social media.
...
All available weapons and equipment were used to repel the air attack: aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defence forces, and electronic warfare units. A total of 201 air targets were shot down in the air combat: 102 missiles and 99 attack UAVs:
- 1 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile;
- 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile;
- 1 Kh-22 cruise missile;
- 99 Kh-101, Kalibr cruise missiles, and Kh-59/69 guided missiles;
- 99 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.

This adds up to a claimed success rate of 80.3% against missiles and 90.8% against drones.

These numbers are fantasy.

The highest strke rate Ukraine could feasibly achieve is probably around 20-25 % (colonel Trukhan cited his expert sources of air defense).

80% of missiles could be the best case scenario, something RUAF could achieve (well, higher), where the trajectory is more-or-less known (not the case in Ukraine where missiles and drones can take rather long detours and approach from unexpected angles, with IRIS-T, Patriot or NASAMS systems then pointing in wrong direction).

Nato radar aircraft from Poland, Romania or Black Sea have tough time covering low flying missiles, let alone drones. Ukraine has to use their air defense radars to scan the low altitudes to see these missiles, which carries a high potential of RUAF discovering and hitting the radar. And there were reports of radars being struck among the attack few days ago.

The number of impacts by incoming missiles registered by locals is a more reliable source to go by, and those amateur observers have filled a long list with information on many hits on strategic targets.  After the several waves of attacks there remained reports of BDA drones circling the central and eastern portions of Ukraine. Will Russia launch an immediate follow-up strike is now the question. Much of the Ukie electrified railway system has been knocked out, and likely needs further degrading; same with the electrical power system. Also, the boasting of having neutralized the Black Sea Fleet was proven to be just that, as many missiles have been launched at the flotilla, but very few have struck targets. How much damage has been inflivted on \russian warships is unclear, but most of those ships are still active and firing on Ukie targets.

Is Russia Selling Its Oil To The World Through An Obscure Egyptian Port?
As this blog predicted when NATO and EU member states shot themselves in the foot by reacting to Russia's invasion of Ukraine with sanctions that prevented Russia from selling oil, gas and vital raw materials to the countries that needed them most, the NATO and EU member states, the Russians have had no problems finding alternative customers for their gas and oil and no problem getting oil into the world's commodity markets through the back door.

Are US Supplied Long Range Missiles Really Winning The War For Ukraine?
Since very soon after the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine western powers, USA, UK, EU and NATO have been doing everything possible to prolong and escalate the war. The latest move is to provide the Ukrainian military with long range HIMARS missile. Mainstream media are claiming this has tilted the balance in Ukraine's favour. But for what? To prolong the slaughter? ...

Jingoistic Western Triumphalism Will Not End The War In Ukraine Or Cripple Putin, But It Is Crippling Western Nations

As the war in Ukraine grinds on and Russia steps up its economic war against the west and in particular The European Union, claims made recently by the idiotically 'woke' leaders of Europe's main economic and military powers that the West has a once-in-a–generation chance to severely weaken Russia’s capabilities, both militarily and geopolitically, look increasingly hollow. Putin's critics have cited 'Western unity' as one of the main reasons why Russia will be economically destroyed and politically humiliated when the Ukraine's military finally claim victory.

US Warned It Is Playing With Fire by Repeatedly Provoking China in S China Sea

In a letter from Ms. Oh Beigong (!) of Taipei to the big bosses of the US military and naval forces, it was forcefully pointed out that the USA is playing a dangerous game in the South China Sea by repeatedly provoking a Chinses reaction to violations of protocol in overflying Chinese air space and having its warships enter Chinese waters. The letter, published in Malaya, also states the US government has wrongly fabricated accusations against China. It is not known whether the letter was actually sent or us just a stunt to warn US allies in the region against being drawn into Washington's geopolitical games.

The letter was addressed to Admiral Harry B. Harris, Commander of the United States Pacific Command, and copied to his bosses, US Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, as well as Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. It was published by Leslie Fong, former editor at the Straits Times, who said that Ms. Oh Beigong (Oh be gone?) found its way to his inbox. Some fragments of her letter are presented below.

“Dear Admiral Harris,

I write to congratulate you for standing up for mariners the world over to assert the right to freedom of navigation in international waters. You showed much daring when on May 10, you sent the USS William P. Lawrence, an Arleigh Burke class missile destroyer, to within 12 nautical miles of Fiery Cross Reef, over which Beijing has long claimed sovereignty and which it has occupied for years,” online publication reported Ms. Oh as saying. Fiery Cross Reef is also claimed by the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam.

“Let me get serious. The US is playing with fire by repeatedly poking China in the eye. We in this region are going to be the collateral damage if this spins out of control. And why should we pay the price when the US does not really have right on its side? As a thinking man, did you not feel discomfort deep inside you when the US kept singling out the Chinese as the bad guys in the maritime disputes?” China Daily reported.

“You must know better than most on this planet that the US has not been able to cite one instance when China actually denied anyone the freedom of navigation or point to any statement by Beijing threatening that right.”

She also wrote that it takes neither courage nor brains to dispatch a destroyer or launch an air strike, as the commanding officers are only carrying out the orders of their political masters. She thinks however, that the admiral needs more credit for risking the lives of his sailors as he couldn't know for sure that the Chinese would steer clear of the US destroyer.

Ms. Oh further mentioned how, in the 80’s, Soviet frigates "bumped" American naval craft in the Black Sea because the US ships were intruding into waters which Russia considered its own. Lately, Chinese commentators have been publicly talking about imitating the Soviets.

The letter warned that the US is really pushing its luck and playing with fire.

She drew attention to the expansionism that the US has been involved in for years and how it is the US that has 11 carrier battle groups circling the globe, each with enough firepower to send four-fifths of the world’s countries “back to Stone Age.”

“You will say, no doubt, that the Chinese are going to militarize the airstrips and other facilities to project force, thus threatening all the countries in the region. Er, coming from a senior naval officer of a country that operates some 800 bases or military facilities in more than 60 countries around the world, several of them virtually at China's doorstep, that, sir, is a bit rich!”

She then cleverly pointed out that the US is not in the habit of admitting that it is or can be wrong. She brings up several examples of instances when the US refused to take the blame for its actions. This leads one to think Ms Oh Begong is perhaps not what she presents herself as, but might be a front for a political organisation. She says:

“Bottom line? Might is right. The US is out to stymie the rise of China and prevent it from challenging American dominance, if not hegemony. We get that. So do us a favor, please stop talking about high principles and international law.”

Good grief, the girl seems to have acquired her understanding of global politics from reading this blog.

She concludes by advising Admiral Harry B. Harris what he could personally do in order to regain at least a little bit respect from clear-sighted people who cannot be fooled. The letter is clearly aimed at Barack Obama, John Kerry, and Pentagon chiefs of staff. Who could really be behind it? Obviously the Chinese government but more likely in our view, representatives of smaller states in south east Asia whose governments fear the consequenses for their people should conflict flare up between two superpowers.

Obama Launching Massive Military Intervention In Libya And Iraq

US military personnel deploy in Libya

We were told back in 2008 that Barack Hussein Obama would become president and would be the peacemaker and joybringer would lead the would to a golden age of harmony and prosperity. That's not quite how it turned out of course, the foreign policy disasters, economic incompetence and social divisiveness have made him undisputed holder of the Worst President Ever title.

Back in 2008 some of us tried to warn you he was a neo con puppet (those who can search the dark web with immunity - and no, it's not all goat porn, for example I found Obama was backed by really nasty neo con world domination freaks). But you ignored our wise words and now, outside its own borders The USA is almost universally hated and universally mistrusted, the superpower that supports terrorists and stabs its allies in the back.

With a year of his presidency still to run it seems Obama has not had his fill of death and misery and fancies killiing a few million more third world peasants as Information Clearing House reports:

Almost five years after the United States and its NATO allies launched a campaign in Libya to overthrow Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, the United States is on the verge of massively escalating its military operations in the war-torn country. According to the New York Times, the new effort is “expected to include airstrikes and raids by elite American troops.” It is unclear how long this newest effort will last.

The announcement comes on the heels of U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announcing combat troops were going back to Iraq last week. While U.S special forces have been conducting “clandestine reconnaissance missions in Libya to identify militant leaders and map out their networks” over the past year, the New York Times report marks the first time overt combat troops will be deployed in the North African nation.

The 2011 campaign was itself something of a bait and switch. What was originally sold as simply a no-fly zone quickly became regime change. A few weeks after the UN-sanctioned bombing of Libya’s infrastructure and air capacity, the scope of the campaign pivoted when President Obama, along with Presidents Sarkozy and Cameron of France and the UK respectively, announced the entirely new objective: NATO airstrikes, in concert with ongoing CIA support of rebels, to overthrow the Qaddafi government.

After this was quickly achieved, the pundit classes rallied to congratulate a job well done. As Glenn Greenwald at The Intercept noted Wednesday:

War advocates such as Anne-Marie Slaughter and Nicholas Kristof were writing columns celebrating their prescience and mocking war opponents as discredited, and the New York Times published a front-page article declaring: “U.S. Tactics in Libya May be a Model for Other Efforts.”

It was widely expected that Hillary Clinton, one of the leading advocates for and architects of the bombing campaign, would be regarded as a Foreign Policy Visionary for the grand Libya success: “We came, we saw, he died,” Clinton sociopathically boasted about the mob rape and murder of Qaddafi while guffawing on 60 Minutes.

Despite the fanfare at the “overthrow” of Qaddafi (who suffered a brutal death at the hands of a mob), not much has been made of the U.S. military’s slow escalation of its involvement in Libya over the past year. This time the objective, much like in Iraq after the U.S. deposed its leader, is destroying the presence of ISIS, a process that could take, in the words of former Defense Secretary Panetta, “thirty years.” And it's an escalation that has largely gone under the public's radar.

While Europe Is Still Reeling From The Paris Attacks Another Capital City Is Plunged Into Chaos

from Boggart Team, 21 November, 2015

the daily stirrer
Armed soldiers patrol the streets of the belgian capital

Following a warning last night of an "imminent" terror threat in Brussels security services raised the country's terror alert to the highest level, plunging Europe, still reeling from last weeks carnage in Paris and gripped by fear and panic due to the honest reporting (at last) that the EU's politically correct 'open doors' immigration policy has allowed extremists hostile to European culture and our way of life to infiltrate European societies, the Belgian capital Brussels was in near lockdown today, with unofficial reports suggesting another major terrorist attack had been thwarted.

Yesterday it was reported that the area around the European Headquarters building had been evacuated after a suspect package was found; today the escalation of tensions continued as the Belgian capital was turned into a ghost town after authorities deployed special forces on the streets, closed the metro, locked down shopping areas, cancelled sporting events, and warned the public to avoid crowded places, bus and railway stations and airports because of a "serious and imminent" threat of attack by Islamic extremists.

Reuters reported Brussels was under siege and only a week after the Paris attacks carried out by Islamic State militants, of whom one suspect, an ISIS operative from Brussels is at large and said by authorities to be highly dangerous, panic is starting to drive the actions of decision makers. Belgium has been placed on level "four" alert. the highest in the government's scale of threat, after a meeting of top ministers, police and security services.

"The advice for the population is to avoid places where a lot of people come together like shopping centers, concerts, events or public transport stations wherever possible," a spokesman for the government said.

army arrive in brussels
Military personnel arrive in Brussels to augment the police force

As Agence France Presse reported earlier, the spike in the terror threat is due to a risk of attacks by "weapons and explosives"

Amid fears the extremists may be planning to use chemical and biological weapons, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel declined to cite the reason why security agencies raised the alert level but told a press conference the government would review the security situation on Sunday afternoon and that the decision to raise the threat level was taken "based on quite precise information about the risk of an attack like the one that happened in Paris where several individuals with arms and explosives launch actions, perhaps even in several places at the same time." The metro system would remain closed until then he said.

The reason for putting the capital city and most of the nation's transport system under lockdown is that chemicals and explosives found during a police raid on premises in the Vandepeerboom Street area, in notorious the immigrant neighborhood of Molenbeek, a rundown and somewhat ghettoized suburb where Paris attacker Abdelhamid Abaaoud was suspected of operating a terrorist cell.

National newspaper L'Echo has more:

A search was conducted on Friday at the home of a suspect placed under arrest, federal prosecutors said on Saturday. Some weapons have been discovered, but no explosives or explosive belt.
The suspect was arrested Thursday in the series of searches carried out in Brussels. The person concerned is suspected of involvement in terrorist attacks and participation in activities of a terrorist group.

The find came as Belgium’s capital entered a security lockdown. The government has warned that there could be a repeat of Paris-style attacks in the country’s capital, prompting the closure of subways in Brussels and the deployment of heavily armed police and soldiers. Brussels has emerged as the operational centre for the terrorists who planned and carried out last weeks attacks.

the daily stirrer
Normally crowded with Saturday shoppers and strollers, the streets and squares of Brussels are deserted

All this could have been avoided of course had the university brainwashed elites just listened to public opinion instead of dismissing as 'racist' the complaints that many recent Muslim migrants from the middle east and Africa simply did not want to be integrated into western societies and held our laws and values in contempt.

ISIS Releases Video Of Alleged Russian Airplane Mid-Air Exposion After It Claims Responsibility For Disaster

People gather at the airline information desk at of Russian airline Kogalymaviaís desk. (Image source)

Many people here in Britain switched on their TV this morning to the news that a Russian airliner full of civilian passengers flyng from Sharm el Shiek to St. Petersburg has crashed in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. Following the worst Russian air disaster in recent history, the questions all news channels asked was, what happened and who is responsible?

It is worth noting perhaps, one thing that did not happen was Vladimir Putin going on TV to claim he had irrefutable evidence that the United States and its proxy in the Syrian Civil War, ISIS, were responsible in the way the clown Obama did rather to quickly after the dowing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over Ukraine, when Oh Bummer was on TV almost before the plane hit the ground.

I'm sure there is no need to remind anyone that in spite of his claims and a lot of ranting from negrophiles and America worshippers, not a single shred of evidence has yet been produced to back up Obama's claims, even the official inquiry into the catastrophe carefully sidestepped the issue of identifying a culprit.

Putin is not such a fool as Obama and the Russian government avoided making any statements beyond saying the cause of the disaster was not know at such an early stage.

By late afternoon we had an answer that might have satisfied hotheads (and certain people we know who claim to be university lecturers or janitor or something). A militant group affiliated to Islamic State in Egypt claimed responsibility for the downing of a Russian passenger plane that crashed in Egypt's Sinai peninsula on Saturday, the group said in a statement circulated by supporters on Twitter.

Below is the full statement from a group alleging to speak on behalf of Islamic State, posted on their affiliate site, translated by the Guardian's Jahd Khalil. It offers no evidence that the group brought down the plane, apart from their word.

Breaking: Downing of Russian airplane, killing of more than 220 Russian crusaders on board.

Soldiers of the Caliphate were able to bring down a Russian plane above Sinai Province with at least 220 Russian crusaders aboard.

They were all killed, praise be to God. O Russians, you and your allies take note that you are not safe in Muslims lands or their skies.

The killing of dozens daily in Syria with bombs from your planes will bring woe to you. Just as you are killing others, you too will be killed, God willing.

An analyst with the Center for American Progress, Mokhtar Awad, told the Guardian that the Islamic State’s claim of responsibility "is quite vague.

“It doesn’t state how they were able to ‘down’ the plane allegedly. Even the most sophisticated of portable surface-to-air missiles cannot reach that high an altitude and are only a threat during periods of take-off or landing, but the plane had already climbed to its target altitude (from what we know thus far) when it began to likely experience technical failures. An analyst with the Center for American Progress, Mokhtar Awad, told the Guardian that the Islamic State’s claim of responsibility "is quite vague.

An Al Qaeda affilited group in Egypt also took to Twitter to denounce the ISIS which allegedly showed the dowing on the aircraft as a fake.

Then again, it could simply have been a bomb planted on the plane and set to explode after 20 minutes of flight time.

Even Russia's transport minister Maksim Sokolov has said that the claim Islamic State militants brought down the plane "can’t be considered accurate".

A quite different response from the level headed Russians, totally different to that of the trigger happy warmongers of Washington. But you can bet if ISIS are involved in any way the retribution will be swift and efficient. Which is why Russia is now the dominant power in the middle east and Obama is still making petulant threats.

As this publication has always warned, "Don't fuck with the Russians."

Love For Sale (with Air Miles)

An interesting news item tells us that prostitutes could soon be touting for business in shopping centres in Budapest. Hungary's Interior Ministry is thinking of allowing some malls where prostitutes could strike deals for sex, as long as they move to a place of their own to enact the transaction. A government letter says there is "nothing intrinsically wrong" with an entertainment centre without gratification."

If this is correct then the former communist state could be leading the way to a new area of commercial activity that our traditional Western capitalists have failed to appreciate the potential of. Free Enterprise in Britain and America has in my opinion always been to ready to acquiesce to the moral strictures of extreme religion. How can any red - blooded capitalist be against commercial sex. OK I know it degrades women, it is exploitative, can lead to abuse and some insist it subverts the values of Christian society (I don't recall Jesus ever condemning a hooker though.) Let's stop being mealy mouthed, hell, we are talking about capitalists here, the people who are happy to profit from making bombs, land - mines and napalm and selling them to third world tyrants, people who are prepared to manipulate the financial markets and consign millions of honest, average citizens to an impoverished old age in order to line their own pockets. We are talking about the morality of the rat - pack.

If we lived in an honest world, Wal-Mart would be into the brothel business like a ferret into a rabbit hole. British mega - retailer Tesco would not be far behind and both would face stiff competition from German cut - price chain Aldi offering shoddy but heavily discounted goods from Eastern Europe. And that is just the low end of the market (I was going to say "bottom end" but that would be open to misunderstanding.) What about demand from the high class shopper. Posh people's chain Harvey Nicholls would do well offering refined young ladies from "old money" families, a thousand pounds up front and then you fund her drug habit for six months. Nieman Marcus on the other hand could specialise in the exotic, a Russian Princess maybe (only a few left in the world), a critically acclaimed writer whose dreary feminist tomes do not sell, a fashion model who grew breasts while in rehab. Retiring to private place to "enact the transaction" would not be a problem either. Most malls could install travel - lodge style accommodation on a mezzanine floor without inconveniencing shoppers who merely wanted a few essential food items.

It could all be very discreet and properly organised just like buying any other goods or services. Without the fear of being arrested in a police sting or mugged by the accomplice of a woman posing as a respectable working girl the customer experience would be enhanced.

And of course the embarrassment of paying a lady of negotiable affection for her services would be lessened if you knew she was going to say "thank you sir, and do you have a loyalty card?"
