Protesters Bring Dublin To Standstill As Irish Protests Against Fuel Costs and Immigration Spread

The fuel protests which have caused major traffic disruption for over a wee in the Republic of Ireland are now spreading across Northern Ireland. The protests have been building because of rising fuel prices accoring to the government narrative dutifully reported by mainstream media.

But the narrative conceals an even more potent cause for the rising level of anger among Irisg citizens. Since 2022 there has been growing anger ansd resentment among the Irish people about the number of uneducated,illiterate and sexually incontinent illegal immigrants refugees and asylum seekers that are being dumped in the country by a virtue signalling Europhile, globalist elite ruling class.

In a statement ahead of the latest round of fuel protest, the Locals First Iniiative said: “At a time when rising fuel prices and crushing taxes are pushing everyone to the brink, when Irish people cannot get houses because all the available housing is being given to immigrants, when Irish people who work are struggling to make ends meet while the state lavishes money, free housing, free health care, free everything on outsiders we will not stand by and watch.

“Local First Initiative will be there — standing shoulder to shoulder with those who feed and provide for this nation… its backbone.”

In reference to the farmers who are most affected by the rising cost of fuel, Locals First Initiative added: “If they go under, we all feel it..in our food, our jobs and our cost of living.

“This isn’t just about fuel or asylum seekers, it’s about survival, fairness and protecting local livelihoods.

“We support the protest. We support our farmers. We support putting local people first.”

It is impossible for a reasonable person not to understand that concern. In a small population nation like Ireland. If mass immigration continues at the current rate the original population will be outnumbred and the ancient culture overwhelmed and erased. 

A look back at past news from Ireland shows this crisis follows three years in which immigration numbers climbed, protests spread beyond Dublin and rightwing activists gained ground in local politics. It also comes as housing shortages, stretched public services and online misinformation have fed anger in communities across Ireland.

Ireland is not the only European nation facing civil unrest, protests in Britain, France, Germany, Netherlands and Italy have also caused disruption. In London last year an estimated one million people took to the streets to vent their anger at the anti - British policies of governments over the past forty years. 

Between 2018 and 2023, immigration applications rose 300%, with approximately 150,000 individuals relocating to the country during that period. Ireland now hosts nearly 33,000 international protection applicants (aasylum seekers,), up from 7,244 in 2017, while around 100,000 Ukrainians were welcomed following Russia’s invasion.

In the first half of 2024 alone, 10,604 asylum applications were submitted in Ireland, nearly double the figures from the same period in 2023. Sadly but predictably there was a similarly large rise in crime, particularly sexual offences in areas where the government located these new arrivals Integration Minister Roderic O’Gorman projected that by the end of 2024, applications could reach between 21,000 and 22,000.

Housing has sharpened the political fallout. Ireland faces a deficit of between 212,500 and 256,000 homes, while the latest census shows over 440,000 young adults, or 41% of people aged 18 to 34, are living with their parents because of limited supply and rising costs.

That scarcity has helped turn immigration into a flashpoint. What began as local objections to new accommodation centers developed into wider anti-migrant tensions, often mixing concerns about housing and services with organized far-right activism.

If anyone had said 15-20 years ago, that most of Britians affluent young would give their right arm to live in an Arab city, they would have been dismissed as mad, yet Dubai is the place they are all flocking to. The world is too changing rapidly, something has to break soon. It may be that the fall of the Irish government, which faces a vote on a no confidence motion will be the tiny pebble which starts a landslide.

Pearse Doherty, finnce spokesman for Republican Party Sinn Fein issued a statement on the protests and the no confidence vote:

“Yes, it was about petrol, diesel, home heating oil, but it was also about all of the other pressures that people are feeling – whether it’s energy costs, whether it’s groceries, whether it’s rents that continue to go up, and basically a tipping point that the government aren’t listening, that we needed something to happen in terms of (a) cost (of) living package.”

What you might notice is conspicuously absent from the Sinn Féin spokesman’s list of popular grievances against the government is the unending waves of migrants with which it has besieged the tiny island for many years.

The migrant siege is clearly, if you listen to the Irish on the streets, the enduring, main impetus for the current protests; the fuel supply shock, rather than the underlying cause, is merely the straw that broke the camel’s back, as it were.

For several decades Europe's  political and intellectual elites have been trying to brainwash us into accepting a future of medieval serfdom witch a constant torrent of scaremongering propaganda about the imminent threat Climate Armageddon, a destruction of civilisation due to the effects of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emitted by human activities. Yes you read that right, Carbon Dioxide, the trace atmospheric gas without which the carbon based life forms (that's every living thing on the planet, including us humans,) could not survive.

Germany, Europe's most powerful economy, was one of the leaders in this race to decarbinisation (aka deindustrialisation,) and its leaders seldom missed an opportunity to deliver condescending lectures to the rest of Europe about the wonderful world that awaited those nations that rejected modern technology and the prosperity it brought us in favour of windmills and rrewilding. Some of us can still picture the young Joschka Fischer, a Leftist of the Greens party who took oath of office as Environment Minister in the German state of Hesse wearing sneakers and jeans in 1985.

Since then — in the name of Gaia, the Greek Goddess of Earth – Germany's governing elite have dumbed down their citizens and hamstrung  their once mighty corporations that dominated the global chemical, automotive and precision engineering industries through most of the 19th and 20th centuries. They are no longer Europe's most powerful economy, though still the biggest on the continent, te manufacturing powerhouse that was Germany is now a debt driven ponzi scheme for professional welfare claimants.

Germany’s Energiewende, the EU’s Green New Deal and the UK’s Climate Change Act unleashed punitive green mandates and carbon taxes. The Obama and Biden administrations in the USA joined Brussels, bankrupting the US economy in the process, in setting virtuous examples of ‘climate leadership‘, a defining criterion of energy policy in Western Europe and the US as administrations throw common sense to the dogs in pursuit of Net Zero, (with the significant exception of President Trump’s two administrations.) China, India and Russia and others in the Global South went along with the virtuous ride, but only so far as necessary to benefit from the promise of climate finance and reparations.

All this has been made irrelevant by the 2026 conflict in the Persian Gulf and the partial closure of the Strait of Hormuz which has sent European gas prices sharply higher, reviving questions about Europe’s energy vulnerability, but even more seriously could drag the world into global conflict if the Americans are crazy enough to nuke Iran. 

While Europe successfully reduced its reliance on Russian gas after 2022, it has traded one dependency for another: globally traded LNG exposed to fragile shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el Mandeb (Gate of Tears) strait which controls access to oil and gas facilities on The Red Sea. 

Even Net Zero zealots argue that dependence is not only a concern for energy security; it also creates decarbonization fragility - the risk that reliance on imported fossil fuels undermines the clean energy transition itself. Price spikes push producers toward coal, raise emissions, and give politicians reasons to delay climate action. 

The solution to both problems is the same: faster deployment of domestic clean energy, better electricity grids, and a coordinated EU industrial strategy. Reducing fossil-fuel demand at home is not only a climate goal - it is the most durable foundation for Europe’s energy security. 

The question nobody seems to be asking is why are we aligning with euro our history tells us go west. OK socialist Europe does not like Trump or American free market economics and are quite open about it. For his part Trump has told them what many Americans have always believed, that European leaders are a bunch of limp wristed faggots, obessed with virtue signalling and delusions of moral superiority, content to let the USA be custodian of the free world's security while in Europe, more sophisticated statesmen wallow in existential angst over problems like how much we should pay African, South American and Caribbean nations in reparation for The Atlantic Slave Trade, which no living person had anything to do with in any way.

In insulting UK and European leaders over their reluctance to inolve their cointries in the latest middle east conflict, Trump only says what other presidents were to polite to speak of in public and should be applauded for what the real liberals of former times would call speaking  truth to power (or to be accurate, delusions of power.)

War In Iran, Fuel Crisis In Europe, Economic Chaos Everywhere

 

 

News from the Persian Gulf war zone today is that Iraq has shut down some oil wells, following the kead of Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Qatar has also shut down is gas wells and the process ‘trains’ needed to liquefy natural gas.

This is bad news for Europe particularly, and for the rest of the free world and is, as we reported yesterday, due to the virtual closure of the Strait of Hormuz and because of potential missile and drone attacks on the vulnerable and highly exposed production installations. With our energy security already compomised by Net Zero lunacy this could be disastrous for Europe.

While oil and LPG prices have increased on all global markets, commodity traders  have not yet recognized the length and severity of the supply crunch these shut downs will cause. Prices, currently in the high $90s per barrel, will need to get much higher ($150+/bl) to cause an equivalent demand destruction.

Even if the war on Iran stopped tomorrow and the Strait could be reopened immediately (which would require US Marines' boots on Iranian ground) it would take many weeks until the flow of supplies returned to normal levels.

Oil wells, like electricity generating stations, once shut down, cannot be brought back oline at the flick of a switch. The bore of an unused oil well may close up, sediments may block the oil flow, valves start to fail. It means that drilling rigs will need to be setup at each of the wells a task involving several days work even if all materials are readily available, before the oil starts to flow. There are thousands of wells that have been shut down.

Qatar’s liquefaction of natural gas is an even bigger problem as sactions over Rssia's war with Ukraine have cut off supplies from that source making exports from the Gulf even more vital and the process to create Liquefied Petroleum Gas is quite complex:

The first step on the onshore facilities is the separation of condensate from gas. The separated condensate is stabilised and sent to storage to await export. The natural gas then flows to the liquefaction trains for processing into LNG. During the first phase of this process, sulphur compounds, carbon dioxide, and water are removed in stages. The gas is then chilled using propane and ​mixed refrigeration processes.

The heavy hydrocarbons are separated out and fractionated into liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and plant condensate. The cryogenic main heat exchanger in each train then cools the gas to approximately – 150 °C, liquefying it in the process. Finally, as the pressure is reduced to almost zero, the temperature decreases to – 162 °C, nitrogen is removed and LNG is transferred to one of the storage tanks prior to being loaded into a LNG vessel.​​​

When a liquefaction system shuts down all the product in it will have to be removed. The whole cryogenic chain, once stopped, will warm up and will need to be cooled down again to its very low working temperatures. The metal structures involved do not react well, to say it mildly, to frequent changes in temperature. Failures will occur. Repairs will be needed.

It will take at least two months to revive the Qatari process trains. This of course only after the war has ended. Some 20% of the global LPG supply will thus be unavailable for a lengthy period of time.

The big mouths and bigger egos on the American side of the conflict have not only let the cat out of the bag but have painted a very complete picture for Gulf Control Councol (GCC) rulers to see a long war is completely against their interest. Their  ambassadors got dressed down very well by Lavrov with what some have described as tough love. Despite that, GCC rulers now see Russia as more powerful than the US Empire in the Gulf region and with Russia comes China. 

The big dilemma for GCC rulers is their investment portfolio in the west which has the very real possibility of becoming a total loss if war spreads beyond the gulf region and becomes global conflict. Likewise are US corporate assets within the GCC that Iran aims to eliminate as part of its goal to eject all US & European related assets from the region. 
 

Shi’a leaders have now issued fatwas calling for jihad in support of Iran, a move  that coulfd have a major impact on events in Iraq. Hezbollah has been performing very well in the eastern Mediterranean so far.

Iran’s 91 million people are spread out across the nation aside from the 10 million or so that live in the Tehran metro region, meaning the US - Israeli war effort needs to target an area the size of Europe, while Occupied Palestine houses about 7.5 million Zionists 75% of whom are concentrated in Tel Aviv and Haifa metro areas making it far easier for Iran to concentrate its attacks.

 While this is going on economic damage continues to mount up, particularly amongst four key US East Asian allies–South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Philippines, all of which are dependent on energy imported from the Persian Gulf. That factor along with EU dependence brings the possibility of shifting the geopolitical balance away from the USA Empire since Trump has made clear he doesn’t care if the world enters a massive depression caused by prolongation of the war.

US Military Exits Climate Change After a Decade of Waste

The United States military has pursued an increasing number of programs to try to fight climate change for more than a decade. The air force, army, and navy each developed programs to use alternative energy and to reduce hydrocarbon-based fuels, with aggressive carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions reduction plans. But under the Trump Administration, climate change mitigation will no longer be an objective of the US military.

Earlier this month, the new Department of Defense (DoD) Secretary Pete Hegseth wrote “The Dept of Defense does not do climate change crap. We do training and warfighting.” The DoD is now cutting Pentagon programs that involve climate change. So begins a new age of realistic military policy and an end to more than 15 years of wasteful climate change spending.

Under President Joe Biden, the US government adopted a goal of net-zero emissions for both the US economy and the federal government by 2050. At the direction of the administration, all branches of the US military developed plans to try to get to Net Zero, the elimination of all hydrocarbon-based energy.

The US military is the largest institutional user of petroleum-derived fuel in the world. It is estimated that the DoD uses 4.6 billion gallons of fuel each year. According to the DoD, military emissions in FY 2021 were Air Force (56%), Navy (31%), Army (9%), and Marine Corps (5%). Aircraft accounted for 76% of emissions and ships emitted most of the remainder at 17%.

The navy began climate change programs more than a decade ago during the administration of President Barack Obama. In 2011, US Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus stated, “By no later than 2020, at least half of the energy that the navy uses, both afloat and ashore, will come from non-fossil fuel sources.” The Great Green Fleet initiative was a key part of this effort.

The Great Green Fleet program attempted to use a drop-in blend of biofuels to replace diesel fuel in ships. In 2016, the navy deployed a carrier task force using a fuel mixture of 90% diesel and 10% biofuels. But the biofuel portion cost about $14 per gallon, seven times as much as the diesel portion. The navy also proposed to install hybrid electric-drive engines in 34 “green destroyers” to allow them to run on either fuel or electricity generated from fuel.

But the Great Green Fleet was a dismal failure. Biofuels were high cost and not available around the world, requiring the use of traditional diesel fuel in overseas ports. The hybrid electric-drive destroyers could not keep up with nuclear-powered carriers when using electric engines.
