There Is Only One Way Ukraine Can End The War

As Ukraine's much hyped counterattack has failed to achieved the and momentum that hoped for by American and NATO leaders including President Volodymyr Zelensky who admitted it was "slower than desired", and a range of soldiers interviewed by BBC and Sky News television reporters t on different parts of the long (probably too long given the depletion of Ukrainian military manpower,) frontline have blamed minefields laid by Russian troops for that delay. Well as is often said, in any wartruth is the first casualty.

"Of course, it slows down the movement of troops," said the commander of a nine-man sapper squad with the call sign Dill. He'd just finished a de-mining mission on the nearby frontlines to the east of the tiny, ruined village of Predtechyne, outside Bakhmut. He laid out an array of deactivated Russian mines on the ground beneath a tree, taking care to make sure he could not be spotted by Russian drones overhead.

"The enemy has no mercy for their own soldiers. They're used as cannon fodder. But we're trying to move forwards with the minimum of casualties," said the Lieutenant Serhii Tyshenko from the 3rd Assault Brigade, speaking from the shelter of a nearby bunker.

The only way the war can now end in anything but total and crushing defeat for Ukraine is if the regime in Kiev surrender. Given the vague and often contradictory nature of reports on conditions inside Ukraine it is impossible to guess how close the Ukrainians are to that, or even if they are close to it at all.

It is likely then the war will go on inside Ukrain, with NATO supplying weapons and humanitarian aid but unwilling to engage in direct, armed conflict with Russia. The stated goals of the West and those of Russia are so totally opposite, with the west hoping to cause the ousting of Putin and thus achieve regime change in Moscow, weakening Russia in the process while Russia wants to secure its southern border and prevent Ukraine becom, ing part of NATO which would enable the Americans to open military bases and site long range weapons close to Russia's border, that it's difficult to see how there can be any negotiated settlement.

Even more so now that the war aims of Russia seem to have extended. At first they were after little more than a modified implementation of Minsk 2. But the blunt Russian statement of aims at the very beginning showed that there was more to it than that. "Demilitarisation and denazification" could scarcely have been done only with a Minsk 2 type arrangement. Even the later peace proposals did not go that far.

It all seemed so straightforward in April 2022 when both side were prepared to discuss a settlement brokered by Turkey's President Erdogan, before UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was dispatched by Washington to Kiev to tell the Ukrainian regime that they were not to enter peace talks with Moscow without permission from Washington.

But the main point is that any settlement of this conflict that might have been on the table dealt only with a possible settlement in Ukraine. However, the Russians appear to have recently extended their demands by linking the conditions for a settlement to their European security demands made in 2021, perhapd because of the west furnishing Ukraine with the means to attack targets within Russia..

A settlement between the NATO powers and Russia that involved only Ukraine could have been achieved. Something might have been cooked up and slathered in enough of the sauce of convoluted diplomatic language to save face for the Western politicians and met Russia's demands. It is hard to imagine how, but the diplomats and PR men are highly skilled at bending words so the necessary exit route might have been found for both sides.

But any settlement that leads to the West budging on those European security demands would mean the withdrawal of American missile bases close to Russia's borders in former Soviet republics such as Estonia and Lithuania, and also relocating concentrations of NATO troops further away from the Russian border. There is no way that could be done without a loss of face for the Western politicians that no diplomatic obfuscation could conceal.

So if the Russians are serious about linking any settlement to those 2021 demands there will be no settlement arrived at. Such intransigence on both sides can only mean this conflict will be decided on the battlefield and not at thenegotiating table. There can be no armistice until one side or the other collapses into dystopian, failed - state chaos. The conflict is now "existential" for both NATO and Russia and one side or the other has to lose.

It's been pretty obvious to me since February 2022 which side will be defeated. The military and economic reality is that Ukraine cannot win unless no matter how much help they get from the liberal democracies of the west unless and until NATO commits to sending in ground forces rather than just suppying weapons for the Russians to destroy. And NATO is unlikely to do that because it would make nuclear engagement not just possible but inevitable.

On top of that the west has its own problems, we have seen France crash and burn this week, the USA and UK are in societal breakdown and Germany is on the way to becoming an economic basket case while leaders of all three instead of dealing with domestic problems obsess over 'woke' idiocies like 'net zero', transgender rights, and imposing alien values and traditions on indiginous populations in order to make immigrants feel more welcome.

There are too many unknowns when it comes to Ukraine itself for and meaningful discussions of a settlement that would leave Ukraine mostly intact. We simply don't know how much more of the daily pounding the Ukrainians themselves will be prepared to take or how many more soldiers must die or be incapacitated before the people turn on the government and say 'NO MORE'. We don't know how effective the ultra-nationalist indoctrination of the last few years has been. We don't know how strong a grip the Zelensky and his neo - Nazi bosses have on public opinion in Ukraine. We don't know, in spite of all the floods of speculation, whether there are any factions in that administration that might be in a position to force a change of direction from the current fight-to-the-last-man philosophy.

However, despite daily reports in western mainstream media trying to convince us the Ukrainian counter offensive is rapidly advancing towards Murmansk and Vladivostock, we know that the Ukrainians are taking horrendous losses and that from a rapidly diminishing population base. Not only are military personnel dying, ordinary civilians are leaving in droves, mostly for Poland, Romania and other EU member states. All of this, such as it is, suffices to give us any firm basis to speculate when or if whether the Ukrainians themselves will call a halt. We do know that a country in extremis tends to fight on. In 1945, when it was obvious as could be that their war was lost. And the fact that we, correctly, now view their cause as wrong doesn't mean those German patriots didn't fight like heroes.

This alone ought to be enough to prompt the United Nations to step in and deploy a peacekeeping force to avert a humanitarian disaster on a scale unprecedented since Word War 2.

Just Another Day In Bizarro World: Colonel Forced Out Of TheArmy For Saying 'Men Cannot Be Women'

Just when you think the tide is turning against all the woke, transgender fuckwittery and taking a few tentative steps back towards sanity along comes the army, probably the whackest woke breaucracy anywhere.

A colonel has said he was forced to quit the Army after he was criticised for stating that “men cannot be women”. The Telegraph has the story.

Dr Kelvin Wright, 54, had been a Reservist commanding officer with 14 years’ unblemished service, including two tours in Afghanistan, before his “honour was attacked” with a transphobia complaint and an investigation he described as “hellish”.

In May, he shared a post on his private Facebook account from Fair Play for Women, a campaign group that works with governing bodies to preserve women’s sport for those born female, which consisted of a quote from Helen Joyce, a feminist campaigner backed by the author J.K. Rowling.

The quote, shared without any additional comment, said: “If women cannot stand in a public place and say ‘men cannot be women’, then we do not have women’s rights at all.”

A junior officer was triggered by this outrageous example of common sense (or hate speech as the woke wankers prefer to call it,) to warn his or their, (depending on the soldier's preferred pronouns,) superior officer that such gender-critical views were at odds with Ministry of woke, inclusive, non - binary Defence position on transgenderism on the front line. The warning in turn triggered what Dr. Wright calls the Army’s “LGBT champions” to draw up a seven-page dossier about his “substandard behaviour” – which he was not allowed to see.

Dr. Wright, who led a team of 60 troops in 306 Hospital Support Regiment alongside working as an NHS intensive care consultant, has this month felt forced to retire six years earlier than planned, slashing his total Army pension in the process. He is being supported by the Free Speech Union, which has appointed an employment barrister to defend him, as the investigation is still ongoing.

A retired U.S. Army officer Major Hopewell, who was awarded the Bronze Star as a prescribing psychologist in Operation Iraqi Freedom, was asked to write about the issue for Combat Stress magazine. Under the Biden administration, the U.S. Army changed its rules in 2021 to allow those with gender dysphoria—confusion and distress over biological sex—to serve.
Gender identity would “no longer be a basis for involuntary separation or military discharge, denied reenlistment or continuation of service, or subjected to adverse action or mistreatment,” according to an explanation of the policy changes on the U.S. Army website.

As a neuropsychologist able to write prescriptions, Hopewell spent much of his career determining if soldiers were fit to serve in the Army.

Though the military is allowing transgender personnel, it appears no studies have been done on how the prescription drugs they need to maintain a “gender transition” may impact combat readiness, he said.

As a general rule, Army soldiers who need more sophisticated health monitoring cannot be deployed on a mission to a place where medical access is limited, he said.

Medications that transgender patients need could even cause health and mental problems, he said. Testosterone, the male hormone used to help women appear more masculine, has been connected to “roid rage,” characterized by sudden outbursts of intense anger.

Transgender patients take “massive” doses of testosterone or estrogen, cross-sex hormones that disrupt the entire physical system of the body and the brain function, he said.”

Colonel Dr. Wright told the Telegraph:

This attack on my honour made my position completely untenable. I could no longer remain in an Army which treated its officers with such disrespect. What message does it send to women in the Army, that merely for noting the existence of women and women’s rights even a colonel can be placed under investigation?

Whether it is this soldier being hounded out of the army, Nigel Farage having his bank accounts shut down or some academic being sacked from a university for saying the COVID vaccines are not safe or effective and should be investigated, people are drawing up reports and making comments on other people and the people concerned are not being shown these reports and comments. This is the stuff of tyranny and oppression, 1984 was supposed to be a warning not a handbook on how to do it!

The decisions made by our increasingly disreputable institutions are having effects as devastating as those of any judge in a court of law. And yet these decisions are not subject to cross examination, scrutiny, witness statements or any sort of fact or reality check.

The right to a trial by jury dates back centuries, even before it was enshrined in law by the Magna Carta which stated that a freeman should not be imprisoned without the lawful judgment of his peers.

These actions by the army over this guys statement of the utterly and absofuckinglutely obvious, these actions by the Banks over Farage’s accounts, the whole cancel culture and other exa,ples of woke tyranny are completely counter to our rights as set out in the Magna Carta and the Geneva Conventions. The fact that our MPs, judges and journalists are supine on this issue indicates how far we have sunk into authoritarianism, I am afraid we do not need an election, we need a revolution.

French Police Say "We're At War With Vermin" As Nationwide Riots Spread Like Wildfire

Social unrest continued to spread in the cities and large towns of France cities for a fourth consecutive night last night, with hundreds of buildings and vehicles set ablaze. President Emmanuel Macron's government struggled to contain the violence, which was sparked on Tuesday after a teenager was shot dead by a police officer.

Siobhan Robbins, reporting for UK's Sky news said "If I was to put money on it I would say that we're going to see another night of violence tonight," while covering a story of a on a gun store that was looted.

Videos posted on social media have shown residents of the city of Marseille bracing for another night of clashes as rioting started early (see to picture). Amateur videos circulating on Snapchat featured business owners on one of the main shopping streets, Rue Saint-Ferréol, boarding up their storefronts with large sheets of wood.

In one video a shop owner was pictured a drill to secure a large sheet of plywood to the front of his shop, while other businesses in the area - including a Dr Martens outlet - were also secured.

In an update on Saturday, France's Interior Ministry said 2,500 fires were reported overnight. Rioters set fire to 1,350 vehicles and 235 buildings nationwide. About 1,300 people were arrested, while the government mobilized 45,000 police officers with armored vehicles to quell the violence.

According to The Telegraph, French police said they were "at war" with "savage hordes of vermin" on Friday night. The country's top police unions threatened revolt unless Macron's government restored law and order.

"Today the police are in combat because we are at war. Tomorrow we will enter resistance and the government should be aware of this," police unions said.

The most concerning aspect of this latest outbreak of lawlessness and violence in France is that French police unions threaten to protest if the government refuses to clamp down hard on the rioting. France is now in a state of near anarchy with many middle and working class communities still unhappy about Presdent Macron's undemocratic reforms to the pension system which triggered rioting among the white working classes earlier this year. The latest outbreak was triggered by the shooting of a young man from the immigrant community as he tried to drive away from a routine traffic stop. French police said they were "at war" with "savage hordes of vermin," language which is hardly likely to help calm the situation. Right wing commentators in France described the riots as further decay and one step closer to societal collapse. It will be a long summer in Europe. 'France Has Fallen': Dramatic Footage Shows Social Unrest Spreading In Third Night

The police killing of a 17-year-old during a traffic stop on Tuesday has unleashed three consecutive days of social unrest across France. Bloomberg reports more than 600 people were arrested Thursday night into Friday, with a majority of them between the ages of 14 and 18. Rioters targeted municipal buildings, town halls, and libraries in various major cities, stores were looted, and all hell broke out nationwide as the government deployed 40,000 police officers yesterday afternoon to quell the violence. About 200 officers were injured overnight in the Paris suburb of Nanterre, where the teen was killed. What if these stated goals are merely talking points meant to justify a central bank's continued monopoly over a nation's creation of money, and the true objective of any central bank is to maximize wealth for the wealthiest economic players? Central banks, after all, are usually institutionally independent from government interference. They are private firms managed by the world's financial elite. How might a central bank pursue a hidden agenda to grow the wealth of its friends at the public's expense?

France Braces Itself For Major Confrontation After Teen Driver Shot By Police

Social unrest erupted across France this week after an incident in which police short a teenage male driver during a routine traffic stop. As rioting spread the government was forced to deploy 40,000 police officers to quell the violence. The turmoil was sparked after police fatally shot a 17-year-old teenager of North African descent during a traffic stop.

The country has been on a knife edge since President Macron tried to bypass the national assembly and push through deeply unpopular pensions reforms early this year. And social unrest has been simmering since the 'Yellow Vests' protests against fuel price inflation and a soaring cost of living in 2018.

The police killing of the teenager occurred on Tuesday, captured on video, shocked the country, and has since unleashed riots across major cities. As President Emmanuel Macron fought to contain a mounting crisis on Thursday unrest erupted for a third day over the deadly police shooting of a teenager of Algerian and Moroccan descent during a traffic stop in a Paris suburb.

The epicenter of the unrest is around Nanterre, located on the western outskirts of Paris. A map of the unrest shows riots are occurring nationwide. On Wednesday night, chaos worsened, leading Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin to announce that 40,000 officers would be immediately deployed. He said:

"The professionals of disorder must go home. There will be a lot more police and gendarmes present tonight."

French President Emmanuel Macron held an emergency security meeting today about the violence. He said the "violence against police stations, schools, town halls, against the Republic, is unjustifiable."

"The unrest across France, set off by the deadly police shooting of a teenager of North African descent during a traffic stop, has revived memories of riots in 2005 that gripped France for three weeks," The Independent said.

In Nanterre, the working class town on the western outskirts of Paris where 17-year-old Nahel M. was shot dead on Tuesday, protesters torched cars, barricaded streets and hurled projectiles at police following a peaceful vigil.

Protesters scrawled "Vengeance for Nahel" across buildings and bus shelters.

Local authorities in Clamart, 8 km (5 miles) from central Paris, imposed a nighttime curfew until Monday.

Valerie Pecresse, who heads the greater Paris region, said all bus and tram services would be halted after 9 p.m. after some were set alight the previous night.

COVID To Blame For Inlation Says Economically Illiterate Bank Of England Chief

An interesting insight into why the liberal democracies are all in the throes of financial crises emerged yesterday as a result of a pissing contest between the current head of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey, and his predecessor Mark Carney.

Canadian national Carney was always a supporter of the European Union and throughout his tenure at the BoE from 2013 to 2020 was a strong supporter of closer economic integration with the European Union and then of the 'Remain' campaign and finally of efforts by certain billionaire psychopaths and globalist politicians to habe the referendum result overturned. Since leaving his role at the Banl he has consistently spoken and published articles claiming Brexit is to blame for everything from inflation to extreme weather events.

The current BoE chief Andrew Bailey said in an obvious rebuke to Carney earlier this week that Covid is to blame for the inflation crisis rather than Brexit, which is still wrog but not as stupidly wong as Carney's belief that Brexit is to blame for everything

Mr Bailey said the pandemic is the key problem, as workers who left the jobs market during Covid do not appear to have returned, leaving a sustained hole in the economy.

It should be obvious to anyone who has more tits or testicles that inflation is caused by banks, more specifically the central banks. While theidiotic responses of the debeloped nations to the COVID pandemic led to an orgy of money printing, which certainly did not help, inflation is an upwards movement of wealth. Bankers, as always, hide behind false accusations, always pointing towards big events and not their own nefarious activities in stripping the wealth away from ordinary people. People are left not knowing who to blame in this instance because saying it is ‘Covid’ or ‘Brexit’ is to cloud the issue in political blaming and point towards the governing party at the time, namely the Tories, who have no ability to make financial decisions without the say so of their banking overlords. Inflation, just like the banking crises of 2008 and 1929, was caused by central banks, the only winners in this game.

The inflation we are experiencing may have originated with manufactured supply chain shortages – starting with the gas and oil price in the Autumn before the start of the Ukraine war but these shortages are being caused by a combination of government policy globally (in response to UN Agenda 2030) and a change in the strategic orientation of large corporations to an ESG agenda – otherwise known as stakeholder capitalism. The banks also have a role in setting high interest rates but these are mainly an attempt to fix the broken debt markets. While the COVID policies were ridiculously over the top considering the true level of threat posed by the disease, the orgy of money printing kicked off by lockdowns, on the back of a decade of idioically cheap credit which encouraged a growth of deby to eye watering levels, and then followed by steep increases in interest rates have reduced the value of money while simultaneously raising the cost of goods and services.
