Hillary Leaks - What She Promised Wall Street

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-07/wikileaks-releases-hundreds-exceprts-hillary-clintons-wall-street-speech-transcripts

Wikileaks Releases Hillary's Paid Wall Street Speech Transcripts: Hundreds Of "Sensitive" Excerpts

While the media is transfixed with Donald Trumps apparent contempt for Special Snowflakes as he tailors his language to appeal to working class male voters (a tactic Hillary Clinton supporters think should disqualify him) and sends New York Times and Washington Post readers into meltdown by speaking "lewdly" about women, (ten years ago actually,) Wikileaks hacked documents dubbed the "Podesta emails", which it describes as "a series on deals involving Hillary Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta.

Mr Podesta is a long-term associate of the Clintons and was President Bill Clinton's Chief of Staff from 1998 until 2001. Mr Podesta also owns the Podesta Group with his brother Tony, a major lobbying firm and is the Chair of the Center for American Progress (CAP), a Washington DC-based think tank."

While the main story in this case concerns alleged kickbacks received by the Clinton Foundation from the Russian government-controlled "Uranium One", a story which has been profiled previously by the NYT, and about which Wikileaks adds that "as Russian interests gradually took control of Uranium One millions of dollars were donated to the Clinton Foundation between 2009 and 2013 from individuals directly connected to the deal including the Chairman of Uranium One, Ian Telfer. Although Mrs Clinton had an agreement with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors to the Clinton Foundation, the contributions from the Chairman of Uranium One were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons", a lesser issue for legal authorities but one that for us illustrates the essentially corrupt nature of Hillary Clinton, her associates and the presidential campaign, is an set of emails from Tony Carr, a Research Director at Hillary for America, in which he lay outs hundreds of excerpts from the heretofore missing transcripts of Hillary Clinton's infamous Wall Street speeches, with an emphasis on those which should be flagged as they may be damaging to Hillary.

Here are the highlights of how Hillary Clinton sold her candidacy to Wall Street, the only constituency she has ever truly represented. These were conveniently flagged by the Clinton Campaign itself on page one of the 80 page addendum dubbed "awkward"

Hillary Clinton: “I'm Kind Of Far Removed” From The Struggles Of The Middle Class “Because The Life I've Lived And The Economic, You Know, Fortunes That My Husband And I Now Enjoy.” “And I am not taking a position on any policy, but I do think there is a growing sense of anxiety and even anger in the country over the feeling that the game is rigged. And I never had that feeling when I was growing up. Never. I mean, were there really rich people, of course there were. My father loved to complain about big business and big government, but we had a solid middle class upbringing. We had good public schools. We had accessible health care. We had our little, you know, one-family house that, you know, he saved up his money, didn't believe in mortgages. So I lived that. And now, obviously, I'm kind of far removed because the life I've lived and the economic, you know, fortunes that my husband and I now enjoy, but I haven't forgotten it.” [Hillary Clinton Remarks at Goldman-Black Rock, 2/4/14]

When A Questioner At Goldman Sachs Said She Raised Money For Hillary Clinton In 2008, Hillary Clinton Joked “You Are The Smartest People.” “PARTICIPANT: Secretary, Ann Chow from Houston, Texas. I have had the honor to raise money for you when you were running for president in Texas. MS. CLINTON: You are the smartest people. PARTICIPANT: I think you actually called me on my cell phone, too. I talked to you afterwards.” [ Speech to Goldman Sachs, 2013 IBD Ceo Annual Conference, 6/4/13]

Hillary Clinton Joked That If Lloyd Blankfein Wanted To Run For Office, He Should “Would Leave Goldman Sachs And Start Running A Soup Kitchen Somewhere. “ “MR. BLANKFEIN: I’m saying for myself. MS. CLINTON: If you were going to run here is what I would tell you to do -- MR. BLANKFEIN: Very hypothetical. MS. CLINTON: I think you would leave Goldman Sachs and start running a soup kitchen somewhere. MR. BLANKFEIN: For one thing the stock would go up. MS. CLINTON: Then you could be a legend in your own time both when you were there and when you left.” [ Speech to Goldman Sachs, 2013 IBD Ceo Annual Conference, 6/4/13]

Hillary Clinton Noted President Clinton Had Spoken At The Same Goldman Summit Last Year, And Blankfein Joked “He Increased Our Budget.” “SECRETARY CLINTON: Well, first, thanks for having me here and giving me a chance to know a little bit more about the builders and the innovators who you’ve gathered. Some of you might have been here last year, and my husband was, I guess, in this very same position. And he came back and was just thrilled by— MR. BLANKFEIN: He increased our budget. SECRETARY CLINTON: Did he? MR. BLANKFEIN: Yes. That’s why we -- SECRETARY CLINTON: Good. I think he—I think he encouraged you to grow it a little, too. But it really was a tremendous experience for him, so I’ve been looking forward to it and hope we have a chance to talk about a lot of things.” [Goldman Sachs Builders And Innovators Summit, 10/29/13]

Clinton Said When She Got To State, Employees “Were Not Mostly Permitted To Have Handheld Devices.” “You know, when Colin Powell showed up as Secretary of State in 2001, most State Department employees still didn't even have computers on their desks. When I got there they were not mostly permitted to have handheld devices. I mean, so you're thinking how do we operate in this new environment dominated by technology, globalizing forces? We have to change, and I can't expect people to change if I don't try to model it and lead it.” [Clinton Speech For General Electric’s Global Leadership Meeting – Boca Raton, FL, 1/6/14]

Clinton Joked It’s “Risky” For Her To Speak To A Group Committed To Futures Markets Given Her Past Whitewater Scandal. “Now, it's always a little bit risky for me to come speak to a group that is committed to the futures markets because -- there's a few knowing laughs -- many years ago, I actually traded in the futures markets. I mean, this was so long ago, it was before computers were invented, I think. And I worked with a group of like-minded friends and associates who traded in pork bellies and cotton and other such things, and I did pretty well. I invested about a thousand dollars and traded up to about a hundred thousand. And then my daughter was born, and I just didn't think I had enough time or mental space to figure out anything having to do with trading other than trading time with my daughter for time with the rest of my life. So I got out, and I thought that would be the end of it.” [Remarks to CME Group, 11/18/13]

Hillary Clinton Said Jordan Was Threatened Because “They Can’t Possibly Vet All Those Refugees So They Don’t Know If, You Know, Jihadists Are Coming In Along With Legitimate Refugees.” “So I think you’re right to have gone to the places that you visited because there’s a discussion going on now across the region to try to see where there might be common ground to deal with the threat posed by extremism and particularly with Syria which has everyone quite worried, Jordan because it’s on their border and they have hundreds of thousands of refugees and they can’t possibly vet all those refugees so they don’t know if, you know, jihadists are coming in along with legitimate refugees. Turkey for the same reason.” [Jewish United Fund Of Metropolitan Chicago Vanguard Luncheon, 10/28/13]

Hillary Clinton Said Her Dream Is A Hemispheric Common Market, With Open Trade And Open Markets. “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.” [05162013 Remarks to Banco Itau.doc, p. 28]

Here is the full email by Carrk as of January 25, 2016 laying out all the potentially delicate issues that the Clinton campaign would wish to avoid from emerging. One thing to note: as Michael Tracey points out, the Hillary campaign had all the transcripts at her disposal all along, despite repeated deflection. Perhaps as a result of this leak she will now release the full transcripts for the "proper context."

HRC Paid Speeches

Team,

Attached are the flags from HRC’s paid speeches we have from HWA. I put some highlights below. There is a lot of policy positions that we should give an extra scrub with Policy.

In terms of what was opened to the press and what was not, the Washington Examiner got a hold of one of the private speech contracts (her speeches to universities were typically open press), so this is worth a read http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/clintons-speeches-are-cozy-for-wall-streeters-but-closed-to-journalists/article/2553294/section/author/dan-friedman

CLINTON ADMITS SHE IS OUT OF TOUCH

CLINTON SAYS YOU NEED TO HAVE A PRIVATE AND PUBLIC POSITION ON POLICY

Clinton: “But If Everybody's Watching, You Know, All Of The Back Room Discussions And The Deals, You Know, Then People Get A Little Nervous, To Say The Least. So, You Need Both A Public And A Private Position.” CLINTON: You just have to sort of figure out how to -- getting back to that word, "balance" -- how to balance the public and the private efforts that are necessary to be successful, politically, and that's not just a comment about today. That, I think, has probably been true for all of our history, and if you saw the Spielberg movie, Lincoln, and how he was maneuvering and working to get the 13th Amendment passed, and he called one of my favorite predecessors, Secretary Seward, who had been the governor and senator from New York, ran against Lincoln for president, and he told Seward, I need your help to get this done. And Seward called some of his lobbyist friends who knew how to make a deal, and they just kept going at it. I mean, politics is like sausage being made. It is unsavory, and it always has been that way, but we usually end up where we need to be. But if everybody's watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So, you need both a public and a private position. And finally, I think -- I believe in evidence-based decision making. I want to know what the facts are. I mean, it's like when you guys go into some kind of a deal, you know, are you going to do that development or not, are you going to do that renovation or not, you know, you look at the numbers. You try to figure out what's going to work and what's not going to work. [Clinton Speech For National Multi-Housing Council, 4/24/13]

CLINTON TALKS ABOUT HOLDING WALL STREET ACCOUNTABLE ONLY FOR POLITICAL REASONS

Clinton Said That The Blame Placed On The United States Banking System For The Crisis “Could Have Been Avoided In Terms Of Both Misunderstanding And Really Politicizing What Happened.” “That was one of the reasons that I started traveling in February of '09, so people could, you know, literally yell at me for the United States and our banking system causing this everywhere. Now, that's an oversimplification we know, but it was the conventional wisdom. And I think that there's a lot that could have been avoided in terms of both misunderstanding and really politicizing what happened with greater transparency, with greater openness on all sides, you know, what happened, how did it happen, how do we prevent it from happening? You guys help us figure it out and let's make sure that we do it right this time. And I think that everybody was desperately trying to fend off the worst effects institutionally, governmentally, and there just wasn't that opportunity to try to sort this out, and that came later.” [Goldman Sachs AIMS Alternative Investments Symposium, 10/24/13]

Clinton: “Even If It May Not Be 100 Percent True, If The Perception Is That Somehow The Game Is Rigged, That Should Be A Problem For All Of Us.” “Now, it's important to recognize the vital role that the financial markets play in our economy and that so many of you are contributing to. To function effectively those markets and the men and women who shape them have to command trust and confidence, because we all rely on the market's transparency and integrity. So even if it may not be 100 percent true, if the perception is that somehow the game is rigged, that should be a problem for all of us, and we have to be willing to make that absolutely clear. And if there are issues, if there's wrongdoing, people have to be held accountable and we have to try to deter future bad behavior, because the public trust is at the core of both a free market economy and a democracy.” [Clinton Remarks to Deutsche Bank, 10/7/14]

CLINTON SUGGESTS WALL STREET INSIDERS ARE WHAT IS NEEDED TO FIX WALL STREET

Clinton Said Financial Reform “Really Has To Come From The Industry Itself.” “Remember what Teddy Roosevelt did. Yes, he took on what he saw as the excesses in the economy, but he also stood against the excesses in politics. He didn't want to unleash a lot of nationalist, populistic reaction. He wanted to try to figure out how to get back into that balance that has served America so well over our entire nationhood. Today, there's more that can and should be done that really has to come from the industry itself, and how we can strengthen our economy, create more jobs at a time where that's increasingly challenging, to get back to Teddy Roosevelt's square deal. And I really believe that our country and all of you are up to that job.” [Clinton Remarks to Deutsche Bank, 10/7/14]

* * *

Speaking About The Importance Of Proper Regulation, Clinton Said “The People That Know The Industry Better Than Anybody Are The People Who Work In The Industry.” “I mean, it's still happening, as you know. People are looking back and trying to, you know, get compensation for bad mortgages and all the rest of it in some of the agreements that are being reached. There's nothing magic about regulations, too much is bad, too little is bad. How do you get to the golden key, how do we figure out what works? And the people that know the industry better than anybody are the people who work in the industry. And I think there has to be a recognition that, you know, there's so much at stake now, I mean, the business has changed so much and decisions are made so quickly, in nano seconds basically. We spend trillions of dollars to travel around the world, but it's in everybody's interest that we have a better framework, and not just for the United States but for the entire world, in which to operate and trade.” [Goldman Sachs AIMS Alternative Investments Symposium, 10/24/13]

CLINTON ADMITS NEEDING WALL STREET FUNDING

Clinton Said That Because Candidates Needed Money From Wall Street To Run For Office, People In New York Needed To Ask Tough Questions About The Economy Before Handing Over Campaign Contributions. “Secondly, running for office in our country takes a lot of money, and candidates have to go out and raise it. New York is probably the leading site for contributions for fundraising for candidates on both sides of the aisle, and it's also our economic center. And there are a lot of people here who should ask some tough questions before handing over campaign contributions to people who were really playing chicken with our whole economy.” [Goldman Sachs AIMS Alternative Investments Symposium, 10/24/13]

Clinton: “It Would Be Very Difficult To Run For President Without Raising A Huge Amount Of Money And Without Having Other People Supporting You Because Your Opponent Will Have Their Supporters.” “So our system is, in many ways, more difficult, certainly far more expensive and much longer than a parliamentary system, and I really admire the people who subject themselves to it. Even when I, you know, think they should not be elected president, I still think, well, you know, good for you I guess, you're out there promoting democracy and those crazy ideas of yours. So I think that it's something -- I would like -- you know, obviously as somebody who has been through it, I would like it not to last as long because I think it's very distracting from what we should be doing every day in our public business. I would like it not to be so expensive. I have no idea how you do that. I mean, in my campaign -- I lose track, but I think I raised $250 million or some such enormous amount, and in the last campaign President Obama raised 1.1 billion, and that was before the Super PACs and all of this other money just rushing in, and it's so ridiculous that we have this kind of free for all with all of this financial interest at stake, but, you know, the Supreme Court said that's basically what we're in for. So we're kind of in the wild west, and, you know, it would be very difficult to run for president without raising a huge amount of money and without having other people supporting you because your opponent will have their supporters. So I think as hard as it was when I ran, I think it's even harder now.” [Clinton Speech For General Electric’s Global Leadership Meeting – Boca Raton, FL, 1/6/14]

CLINTON TOUTS HER RELATIONSHIP TO WALL STREET AS A SENATOR

Clinton: As Senator, “I Represented And Worked With” So Many On Wall Street And “Did All I Could To Make Sure They Continued To Prosper” But Still Called For Closing Carried Interest Loophole. In remarks at Robbins, Gellar, Rudman & Dowd in San Diego, Hillary Clinton said, “When I was a Senator from New York, I represented and worked with so many talented principled people who made their living in finance. But even thought I represented them and did all I could to make sure they continued to prosper, I called for closing the carried interest loophole and addressing skyrocketing CEO pay. I also was calling in '06, '07 for doing something about the mortgage crisis, because I saw every day from Wall Street literally to main streets across New York how a well-functioning financial system is essential. So when I raised early warnings about early warnings about subprime mortgages and called for regulating derivatives and over complex financial products, I didn't get some big arguments, because people sort of said, no, that makes sense. But boy, have we had fights about it ever since.” [Hillary Clinton’s Remarks at Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd in San Diego, 9/04/14]

Clinton On Wall Street: “I Had Great Relations And Worked So Close Together After 9/11 To Rebuild Downtown, And A Lot Of Respect For The Work You Do And The People Who Do It.” “Now, without going over how we got to where we are right now, what would be your advice to the Wall Street community and the big banks as to the way forward with those two important decisions? SECRETARY CLINTON: Well, I represented all of you for eight years. I had great relations and worked so close together after 9/11 to rebuild downtown, and a lot of respect for the work you do and the people who do it, but I do -- I think that when we talk about the regulators and the politicians, the economic consequences of bad decisions back in '08, you know, were devastating, and they had repercussions throughout the world.” [Goldman Sachs AIMS Alternative Investments Symposium, 10/24/13]

CLINTON TALKS ABOUT THE CHALLENGES RUNNING FOR OFFICE

Hillary Clinton Said There Was “A Bias Against People Who Have Led Successful And/Or Complicated Lives,” Citing The Need To Divese Of Assets, Positions, And Stocks. “SECRETARY CLINTON: Yeah. Well, you know what Bob Rubin said about that. He said, you know, when he came to Washington, he had a fortune. And when he left Washington, he had a small -- MR. BLANKFEIN: That’s how you have a small fortune, is you go to Washington. SECRETARY CLINTON: You go to Washington. Right. But, you know, part of the problem with the political situation, too, is that there is such a bias against people who have led successful and/or complicated lives. You know, the divestment of assets, the stripping of all kinds of positions, the sale of stocks. It just becomes very onerous and unnecessary.” [Goldman Sachs Builders And Innovators Summit, 10/29/13]

CLINTON SUGGESTS SHE IS A MODERATE

Clinton Said That Both The Democratic And Republican Parties Should Be “Moderate.” “URSULA BURNS: Interesting. Democrats? SECRETARY CLINTON: Oh, long, definitely. URSULA BURNS: Republicans? SECRETARY CLINTON: Unfortunately, at the time, short. URSULA BURNS: Okay. We'll go back to questions. SECRETARY CLINTON: We need two parties. URSULA BURNS: Yeah, we do need two parties. SECRETARY CLINTON: Two sensible, moderate, pragmatic parties.” [Hillary Clinton Remarks, Remarks at Xerox, 3/18/14]

Clinton: “Simpson-Bowles… Put Forth The Right Framework. Namely, We Have To Restrain Spending, We Have To Have Adequate Revenues, And We Have To Incentivize Growth. It's A Three-Part Formula… And They Reached An Agreement. But What Is Very Hard To Do Is To Then Take That Agreement If You Don't Believe That You're Going To Be Able To Move The Other Side.” SECRETARY CLINTON: Well, this may be borne more out of hope than experience in the last few years. But Simpson-Bowles -- and I know you heard from Erskine earlier today -- put forth the right framework. Namely, we have to restrain spending, we have to have adequate revenues, and we have to incentivize growth. It's a three-part formula. The specifics can be negotiated depending upon whether we're acting in good faith or not. And what Senator Simpson and Erskine did was to bring Republicans and Democrats alike to the table, and you had the full range of ideological views from I think Tom Coburn to Dick Durbin. And they reached an agreement. But what is very hard to do is to then take that agreement if you don't believe that you're going to be able to move the other side. And where we are now is in this gridlocked dysfunction. So you've got Democrats saying that, you know, you have to have more revenues; that's the sine qua non of any kind of agreement. You have Republicans saying no, no, no on revenues; you have to cut much more deeply into spending. Well, looks what's happened. We are slowly returning to growth. It's not as much or as fast as many of us would like to see, but, you know, we're certainly better off than our European friends, and we're beginning to, I believe, kind of come out of the long aftermath of the '08 crisis. [Clinton Speech For Morgan Stanley, 4/18/13]

* * *

Clinton: “The Simpson-Bowles Framework And The Big Elements Of It Were Right… You Have To Restrain Spending, You Have To Have Adequate Revenues, And You Have To Have Growth.” CLINTON: So, you know, the Simpson-Bowles framework and the big elements of it were right. The specifics can be negotiated and argued over. But you got to do all three. You have to restrain spending, you have to have adequate revenues, and you have to have growth. And I think we are smart enough to figure out how to do that. [Clinton Speech For Morgan Stanley, 4/18/13]

CLINTON IS AWARE OF SECURITY CONCERNS AROUND BLACKBERRIES

Clinton: “At The State Department We Were Attacked Every Hour, More Than Once An Hour By Incoming Efforts To Penetrate Everything We Had. And That Was True Across The U.S. Government.” CLINTON: But, at the State Department we were attacked every hour, more than once an hour by incoming efforts to penetrate everything we had. And that was true across the U.S. government. And we knew it was going on when I would go to China, or I would go to Russia, we would leave all of our electronic equipment on the plane, with the batteries out, because this is a new frontier. And they're trying to find out not just about what we do in our government. They're trying to find out about what a lot of companies do and they were going after the personal emails of people who worked in the State Department. So it's not like the only government in the world that is doing anything is the United States. But, the United States compared to a number of our competitors is the only government in the world with any kind of safeguards, any kind of checks and balances. They may in many respects need to be strengthened and people need to be reassured, and they need to have their protections embodied in law. But, I think turning over a lot of that material intentionally or unintentionally, because of the way it can be drained, gave all kinds of information not only to big countries, but to networks and terrorist groups, and the like. So I have a hard time thinking that somebody who is a champion of privacy and liberty has taken refuge in Russia under Putin's authority. And then he calls into a Putin talk show and says, President Putin, do you spy on people? And President Putin says, well, from one intelligence professional to another, of course not. Oh, thank you so much. I mean, really, I don't know. I have a hard time following it. [Clinton Speech At UConn, 4/23/14]

Hillary Clinton: “When I Got To The State Department, It Was Still Against The Rules To Let Most -- Or Let All Foreign Service Officers Have Access To A Blackberry.” “I mean, let's face it, our government is woefully, woefully behind in all of its policies that affect the use of technology. When I got to the State Department, it was still against the rules to let most -- or let all Foreign Service Officers have access to a Blackberry. You couldn't have desktop computers when Colin Powell was there. Everything that you are taking advantage of, inventing and using, is still a generation or two behind when it comes to our government.” [Hillary Clinton Remarks at Nexenta, 8/28/14]

* * *

Hillary Clinton: “We Couldn't Take Our Computers, We Couldn't Take Our Personal Devices” Off The Plane In China And Russia. “I mean, probably the most frustrating part of this whole debate are countries acting like we're the only people in the world trying to figure out what's going on. I mean, every time I went to countries like China or Russia, I mean, we couldn't take our computers, we couldn't take our personal devices, we couldn't take anything off the plane because they're so good, they would penetrate them in a minute, less, a nanosecond. So we would take the batteries out, we'd leave them on the plane.” [Hillary Clinton Remarks at Nexenta, 8/28/14]

Clinton Said When She Got To State, Employees “Were Not Mostly Permitted To Have Handheld Devices.” “You know, when Colin Powell showed up as Secretary of State in 2001, most State Department employees still didn't even have computers on their desks. We have to change, and I can't expect people to change if I don't try to model it and lead it.” [Clinton Speech For General Electric’s Global Leadership Meeting – Boca Raton, FL, 1/6/14]

Hillary Clinton Said You Know You Can’t Bring Your Phone And Computer When Traveling To China And Russia And She Had To Take Her Batteries Out And Put them In A Special Box. “And anybody who has ever traveled in other countries, some of which shall remain nameless, except for Russia and China, you know that you can’t bring your phones and your computers. And if you do, good luck. I mean, we would not only take the batteries out, we would leave the batteries and the devices on the plane in special boxes. Now, we didn’t do that because we thought it would be fun to tell somebody about. We did it because we knew that we were all targets and that we would be totally vulnerable. So it’s not only what others do to us and what we do to them and how many people are involved in it. It’s what’s the purpose of it, what is being collected, and how can it be used. And there are clearly people in this room who know a lot about this, and some of you could be very useful contributors to that conversation because you’re sophisticated enough to know that it’s not just, do it, don’t do it. We have to have a way of doing it, and then we have to have a way of analyzing it, and then we have to have a way of sharing it.” [Goldman Sachs Builders And Innovators Summit, 10/29/13]

* * *

Hillary Clinton Lamented How Far Behind The State Department Was In Technology, Saying “People Were Not Even Allowed To Use Mobile Devices Because Of Security Issues.” “Personally, having, you know, lived and worked in the White House, having been a senator, having been Secretary of State, there has traditionally been a great pool of very talented, hard-working people. And just as I was saying about the credit market, our personnel policies haven’t kept up with the changes necessary in government. We have a lot of difficulties in getting—when I got to the State Department, we were so far behind in technology, it was embarrassing. And, you know, people were not even allowed to use mobile devices because of security issues and cost issues, and we really had to try to push into the last part of the 20th Century in order to get people functioning in 2009 and ‘10.” [Goldman Sachs Builders And Innovators Summit, 10/29/13]

CLINTON REMARKS ARE PRO KEYSTONE AND PRO TRADE

Clinton: “So I Think That Keystone Is A Contentious Issue, And Of Course It Is Important On Both Sides Of The Border For Different And Sometimes Opposing Reasons…” “So I think that Keystone is a contentious issue, and of course it is important on both sides of the border for different and sometimes opposing reasons, but that is not our relationship. And I think our relationship will get deeper and stronger and put us in a position to really be global leaders in energy and climate change if we worked more closely together. And that's what I would like to see us do.” [Remarks at tinePublic, 6/18/14]

* * *

* * *

Hillary Clinton Said We Have To Have A Concerted Plan To Increase Trade; We Have To Resist Protectionism And Other Kinds Of Barriers To Trade. “Secondly, I think we have to have a concerted plan to increase trade already under the current circumstances, you know, that Inter-American Development Bank figure is pretty surprising. There is so much more we can do, there is a lot of low hanging fruit but businesses on both sides have to make it a priority and it's not for governments to do but governments can either make it easy or make it hard and we have to resist, protectionism, other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade and I would like to see this get much more attention and be not just a policy for a year under president X or president Y but a consistent one.” [05162013 Remarks to Banco Itau.doc, p. 32]

CLINTON IS MORE FAVORABLE TO CANADIAN HEALTH CARE AND SINGLE PAYER

Clinton Said Single-Payer Health Care Systems “Can Get Costs Down,” And “Is As Good Or Better On Primary Care,” But “They Do Impose Things Like Waiting Times.” “If you look at countries that are comparable, like Switzerland or Germany, for example, they have mixed systems. They don't have just a single-payer system, but they have very clear controls over budgeting and accountability. If you look at the single-payer systems, like Scandinavia, Canada, and elsewhere, they can get costs down because, you know, although their care, according to statistics, overall is as good or better on primary care, in particular, they do impose things like waiting times, you know. It takes longer to get like a hip replacement than it might take here.” [Hillary Clinton remarks to ECGR Grand Rapids, 6/17/13]

Clinton Cited President Johnson’s Success In Establishing Medicare And Medicaid And Said She Wanted To See The U.S. Have Universal Health Care Like In Canada. “You know, on healthcare we are the prisoner of our past. The way we got to develop any kind of medical insurance program was during World War II when companies facing shortages of workers began to offer healthcare benefits as an inducement for employment. So from the early 1940s healthcare was seen as a privilege connected to employment. And after the war when soldiers came back and went back into the market there was a lot of competition, because the economy was so heated up. So that model continued. And then of course our large labor unions bargained for healthcare with the employers that their members worked for. So from the early 1940s until the early 1960s we did not have any Medicare, or our program for the poor called Medicaid until President Johnson was able to get both passed in 1965. So the employer model continued as the primary means by which working people got health insurance. People over 65 were eligible for Medicare. Medicaid, which was a partnership, a funding partnership between the federal government and state governments, provided some, but by no means all poor people with access to healthcare. So what we've been struggling with certainly Harry Truman, then Johnson was successful on Medicare and Medicaid, but didn't touch the employer based system, then actually Richard Nixon made a proposal that didn't go anywhere, but was quite far reaching. Then with my husband's administration we worked very hard to come up with a system, but we were very much constricted by the political realities that if you had your insurance from your employer you were reluctant to try anything else. And so we were trying to build a universal system around the employer-based system. And indeed now with President Obama's legislative success in getting the Affordable Care Act passed that is what we've done. We still have primarily an employer-based system, but we now have people able to get subsidized insurance. So we have health insurance companies playing a major role in the provision of healthcare, both to the employed whose employers provide health insurance, and to those who are working but on their own are not able to afford it and their employers either don't provide it, or don't provide it at an affordable price. We are still struggling. We've made a lot of progress. Ten million Americans now have insurance who didn't have it before the Affordable Care Act, and that is a great step forward. (Applause.) And what we're going to have to continue to do is monitor what the costs are and watch closely to see whether employers drop more people from insurance so that they go into what we call the health exchange system. So we're really just at the beginning. But we do have Medicare for people

over 65. And you couldn't, I don't think, take it away if you tried, because people are very satisfied with it, but we also have a lot of political and financial resistance to expanding that system to more people. So we're in a learning period as we move forward with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. And I'm hoping that whatever the shortfalls or the glitches have been, which in a big piece of legislation you're going to have, those will be remedied and we can really take a hard look at what's succeeding, fix what isn't, and keep moving forward to get to affordable universal healthcare coverage like you have here in Canada. Amnesty Report Exposes Western Hypocrisy Over Russian Ships Heading For Syria

The story that is frontrunner in mainstream news today concerns the pressure being put on Spain because the Spanish government offered to allow a flotilla of Russian warships to refuel en route to Syria. The US government and NATO officials say that on arriving off the Syrian coast the fleet will be used for bolstering the bombing campaign against the besieged Syrian city of Aleppo.Spanish newspaper El País reported that the Spanish ministry of foreign affairs was reviewing the permit issued to the Russian flotilla to stop at Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on the coast of north Africa. Politicians and military figures condemned the support from a NATO member as "scandalous," and "wholly inappropriate," while the head of the alliance indicated Madrid should rethink the pit stop.

We are now hearing that Spain will withdraw the offer after pressure from NATO and the USA.

Once again one is gobsmacked by the hypocrisy and blatant dishonesty of western leaders, who are now relentless in pursuit of war with Russia and China. While we do not know how Russia will deploy its ships in the eastern Mediterranean, we do know that more Syrian civilians in Aleppo have died under bombardment from US backed terrorist groups (Obama's beloved moderate rebels) than from Russian air strikes on the rebel held part of the city.

Supporters of Barack Obama and his anointed successor Hillary Clinton will no doubt howl in outrage at any suggestion that these two 'liberal neo-con hawks should bear any responsibility for the chaos in Syria, while it is certain mainstream media in the USA & Canada, Britain and Europe will not waste a single word on covering a report published by Amnesty today, which reveals that civilians are dying as a direct result of US airstrikes.

USA must come clean about civilian deaths caused by Coalition air strikes in Syria
Amnesty International Charity

US-led Coalition forces carrying out air strikes in Syria must conduct thorough investigations into reports of civilian casualties from its operations and disclose their findings, said Amnesty International. Eleven Coalition attacks examined by the organization appear to have killed some 300 civilians during two years of strikes targeting the armed group calling itself Islamic State (IS).
So far the US authorities have provided no response to a memorandum Amnesty International sent to the US Department of Defense on 28 September 2016 to raise questions about the conduct of Coalition forces in Syria. The memorandum compiles and analyzes information from
various sources, including eyewitnesses to attacks, which suggests that US Central Command (CENTCOM), which directs Coalition forces in Syria, may have failed to take necessary precautions to spare civilians and carried out unlawful attacks that have killed and injured civilians.

“We fear the US-led Coalition is significantly underestimating the harm caused to civilians in its operations in Syria,” said Lynn Maalouf Deputy Director for Research at Amnesty International’s Beirut regional office.
“Analysis of available evidence suggests that in each of these cases, Coalition forces failed to take adequate precautions to minimize harm to civilians and damage to civilian objects. Some of these attacks may constitute disproportionate or otherwise indiscriminate attacks.
“It’s high time the US authorities came clean about the full extent of the civilian damage caused by Coalition attacks in Syria. Independent and impartial investigations must be carried out into any potential violations of international humanitarian law and the findings should be made public.”
Amnesty International has reviewed publicly available information from local human rights organizations and monitoring groups as well as media reports, and where feasible it has interviewed eyewitnesses, carried out analysis of satellite imagery, photographs and video evidence, to piece together as much detail as possible about the circumstances of 11 US-led Coalition attacks in which evidence suggests as many as 300 civilians were killed. To date CENTCOM has only acknowledged one single such death in these attacks.

Throughout the Syrian conflict (which stemmed from The Arab Spring, unrest triggered by a speech given by Obama in Cairo in 2009, and was enabled when President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took the decision to remove the Assad regime, not really because of its authoritarian and oppressive nature (it is not as bad as many third world dictatorships the USA is happy to support,) but because Assad's Alawite Muslim secular government stodd in the way of geopolitical ambitions of the USA and its middle eastern allies, the Wahabbi Muslim monarchies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

With the aim of achieving that goal, Washington began funding and training various Al Qaeda affiliated extremist groups and providing them with technical advisers and training until the ragbag terrorist force eventually coalesced into ISIS.

So instead of trying to demonise Russia as an imperialist power, the USA should accept full credit for the war in Syria and all the deaths that have resulted from it.

Just Days Before Hallowe'en Monica Lewinsky Returns To HAUNT Hillary Clinon's Campaign

If we had asked a years ago, "Be honest now folks, who remembers what Monica Lewinsky did?" probably twenty to twenty five per cent of you might have put up your hands. Now of course, with Hillary Clinton desperately trying to keep her head above water as a sea of scandal swamps her campaign, the sexual incontinence of Hillary's serial sex pest husband President Bill Clinton have one more become an election issue.

So when one of Bill's most famous victim's Monica Lewinsky resurfaced twenty years on to tell how after the satyr president Bill Clinton used her as a sex toy and when he dumped her, Hillary, probably the most hypocritical feminist ever, was at the head of the queue to stab stab the naive young intern between the shoulder blades. All the blame for the affair was put on wide eyed young Lewinsky, just out of college and working as an unpaid intern, while fifty year old Clinton, a career politician and long term sex addict was given a free pass despite proof that he behaved illegally in many instances.

Now she is back in the public eye and The Clinton kill machine cannot easily silence her without attracting a lot of attention, Monica at last feels it is safe to tell her side of the story, which you can see in the embedded clip below:
Scroll down for more testimony about the moral corruption of the Clinton's if this is not enough top convince you your vote should go to anyone but Clinton.

The Price Of Shame - Monica Lewinsky

This clip of Lewinsky's emotional address telling her story is going viral on the web this week, and many people are finding themselves disgusted at how the Clintons ruined this young woman’s life (but not of course the left wing hypocrites who insist Donald Trump's crude talk and the unsubstantiated allegations made against him by women who, purely coincidentally of course, have connections to the Clinton campaign, is worse than Hillary's crimes and Bill' persistent sex abuse). Now look at what a security officer at The White House has to say about Bill Clinton's time in office.

This video has been released alongside a tell-all book “Crisis of Character” in which former Secret Service agent Gary S. Byrne reveals that he stood outside the Oval Office door while President Bill Clinton had sex with numerous women, including former Vice President Walter Mondale’s daughter, Eleanor Mondale.

“I stood guard, a pistol at my hip, outside the Oval Office, the last barrier before anyone saw Bill Clinton,” Byrne wrote. “The last barrier before Monica Lewinsky saw Bill Clinton. Yes, I’m that Secret Service officer.”

Byrne recalls an occasion when Lewinsky arrived at the White House while Bill was with Mondale (presumably having sex). He and other agents tried to keep Lewinsky from finding out what was happening, but failed.

"She pressed the officer about the delay and wanted to know why she was left standing in his security booth. He lashed back," Byrne writes, "You have to wait. He’s with his other piece of a–. Wait till he’s finished," the officer blocking her way told Lewinsky.

"What’s he want with her when he has me?" an enraged Lewinsky fired back. "Eleanor Mondale and Monica Lewinsky could not satiate the president’s horndog sexual desires," wrote Byrne, recalling that the President 'entertained' many more bimbos during his time in The White House.

In the end, Byrne concludes Bill has a serious sex problem. This blog disagrees, we have always maintained if Bill Clinton's expensive suit and fancy haircut were taken away and he was put in dirty dungarees and a check shirt he could be mistaken for one of the backwoodsmen in Deliverance.

The saddest thing about this story is that Monica truly believed she and Clinton had a real relationship and he would leave his ugly wife with her big arse and hideously fat legs for the younger woman. True to form, once Lewinsky had become a danger to her own ambitions, Hillary led a legal operation to discredit her.

These women have now come back to haunt Hillary, as many are not comfortable with her sex addict husband being back in any position close to power.

American Attempts To Demonise Russia Look More Pathetic Than Desperate

In spite of all the screeching from Hillary Clinton's campaign team, the bombast of the Obama administration and they hysteria in mainstream media it should be obvious even to a prepubescent kid whose computing skills are limited to playing games on an android tablet that the hacking of the Democrat's campaign servers, Obama's private email address and the State Department is an inside job.

US attempts to blame Russia for the hacks are ludicrous quite simply because with the US political system habing thrown up two profoundly unpopular candidates, and two people so lacking charisma, rhetorical skills, political acumen and the trustworthiness factor, the geopolitical interests of the USA's main rivals are best served by letting this fiasco of an election make the USA increasingly look as if a bunch or circus clowns are running the country.

The two major parties have not only found the worst possible candidates in the eyes of the world, for the job of president of the former most powerful nation on the planet, and the campaign has turned into a spectacle as sordid as those videos of bums fighting for a bottle of booze you can see on the net. Donald Trump deploys his vulgar, uncouth New Yorker in a bid to appeal to white working class males, Hillarly Clinton grins stupidly, jerks her head around like a broken doll and mouths banal platituides as more evidence of her dishonesty and contempt for people less welkl off than her, the US constitution, the law, basic human decency and loyal members of her own staff emerges daily in hacked documents published by Wikileaks.

The let's-blame-the-Russians tactic, an echo of cold war politics, is said by some commentators to be a Democratic Party / Washington establishment desperate bid to preserve its power and privileges. The publication of released emails between Clinton and campaign chairman John Podesta, along with other prominent figures in the Democrat's campaign, expose habitual mendacity, total committment to the abuse of power and position for financial gain, a gleeful eagerness to lie to the public, and a disregard for the world’s opinion (in the case of US support for ISIS in Syria, it seems only Democrat voters in the USA are unaware that Obama and Secretary of State Clinton formed ISIS and that their objective in Syria was always to depose the legitimate government of that nation, rather than to oppose terrorism and Islamic extremism. Any of the proven incidences of fraud, corruption, lying under oath and knowingly breaching state security protocols should have been bad enough on their own to end Hillary clinton's bid for The White House. Taken together they should have been enought to see her sent to The Big House for the rest of her natural life were she not part of the establishment and the global power elite.

And Trump’s own ability to cram both feet into his mouth could hardly be improved on by a meddling foreign power. The US political system is tearing itself to apart.

Events and circumstances are destroying the USA, eight years of The Emperor Obama's rule by executive decreee, his partisanship and his disregard for the majority in order to focus on policies of benefit to certain minorities have divided the American public along multiple fault lines and led to certain classes feeling alienated and abandoned by the government and institutions of state.

This division in society and the inability of the political establishment, the media and the judicial and academic communities to construct a coherent narrative about what is happening to American society that accords with the experience of ordinary people mean nobody can propose realistic plans for dealing with any of the problems that are tearing the American nation apart. The main problem, caused by the politically correct consensus that has ruled most western democracies for around thirty years and is based on a misunderstanding of Marxist economic theory so idiotic it cannot be accidental, is that sovereign debt has far exceeded the ability to produce enough new wealth to service the borrowings necessitated by overgenerous welfare systems and 'aid' to third world tyrants. Attempts to work around this with Central Bank accounting fraud have only exacerbated the problem.

It’s hard to see how Russia benefits from America becoming the terminally ill leader of a failing global economy. While Russia might be enjoying the zeitgeist as America falls apart, they gain little from the chaos that follows US attempts to assert its fading authority in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria. This being the case the evil Russia, reds-under-the-beds propaganda looks more like a projection of the country’s own insecurities and paranoia. For example, how can any rational focus group believe keeping Syria destabilized is preferable to allowing its legitimate government to restore some kind of order, which is exactly what the Obama administration has done because of Obama's personal determination to remove assad. It is worth pointing out here that while Russia's actions in Syria, at the request of the Assad government, have been legal all the USA's interventions have been totally illegal and constitute acts of war under international law. Russia has been on the scene attempting to prop up the Assad government, the legally recognised authority in Syria no mattter how much Barack Hussein Obama (allegedly a constutional law expert though you would never know it) while the USA has been doing everything possible to keep a variety of contestants in a state of incessant war and to replace Assad by a ragbag coalition of terrorists, warlords and religious fanatics who, it is well understood, would mark their ascendancy by slaughtering Syrian christians, Jews and secular Muslims. US policy in Syria has been both politically stupid in global terms and tragically damaging to the Syrians and the middle east.

The Russians stood aside while the USA and its NATO allies smashed up Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. We demonstrated that removing tyrants who do not cooperate with the west and turning stable, orderly nations into failed states is just possibly not the best way to resolve geopolitical problems. Why would it be such a bad thing for the USA to stand aside in Syria and see if the Russians can rescue that country from descent into theocratic lawlessness? Because they might keep a naval base there on the Mediterranean? NATO has scores of military bases around the region.

It’s easy to understand why the Russians might be a teeny bit paranoid about America’s direction. Washington uses NATO to run threatening military maneuvers near Russia’s borders, and has recently installed missile bases in Poland and Romania (a move Putin responded to by moving nukes to Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave on the south east shore of the Baltic. Washington engineered a coup in Ukraine — formerly a province of the Soviet state — replacing a corrupt but democratically elected government with a neo - fascist puppet regime, thus bringing that nation to the brink of failed state status as the government implemented the ethnic cleansing of Russian speaking Ukrainians and the Russian dominated eastern provinces set up a separatist movement.

Accusations from the Clinton campaign and the Obama administration that Russia is conducting cyber warfare against the USA are comical. The idea that Russia is using the Internet to mess with US internal affairs, when for years the USA has been using military and technological tactics to mess with the affairs of other nations (the NSA hacking Angela Merkel’s personal phone for example) really shows that the American political establishment is not fit for purpose. How can such a nation hold a credible election or find credible candidates for its presidency

I have been filming in the Marshall Islands, which lie north of Australia, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Whenever I tell people where I have been, they ask, “Where is that?” If I offer a clue by referring to “Bikini”, they say, “You mean the swimsuit.”

Few seem aware that the bikini swimsuit was named to celebrate the nuclear explosions that destroyed Bikini island. Sixty-six nuclear devices were exploded by the United States in the Marshall Islands between 1946 and 1958 – the equivalent of 1.6 Hiroshima bombs every day for twelve years.

Bikini is silent today, mutated and contaminated. Palm trees grow in a strange grid formation. Nothing moves. There are no birds. The headstones in the old cemetery are alive with radiation. My shoes registered “unsafe” on a Geiger counter.

Standing on the beach, I watched the emerald green of the Pacific fall away into a vast black hole. This was the crater left by the hydrogen bomb they called “Bravo”. The explosion poisoned people and their environment for hundreds of miles, perhaps forever.

On my return journey, I stopped at Honolulu airport and noticed an American magazine called Women’s Health. On the cover was a smiling woman in a bikini swimsuit, and the headline: “You, too, can have a bikini body.” A few days earlier, in the Marshall Islands, I had interviewed women who had very different “bikini bodies”; each had suffered thyroid cancer and other life-threatening cancers.

Unlike the smiling woman in the magazine, all of them were impoverished: the victims and guinea pigs of a rapacious superpower that is today more dangerous than ever.

I relate this experience as a warning and to interrupt a distraction that has consumed so many of us. The founder of modern propaganda, Edward Bernays, described this phenomenon as “the conscious and intelligent manipulation of the habits and opinions” of democratic societies. He called it an “invisible government”.

How many people are aware that a world war has begun? At present, it is a war of propaganda, of lies and distraction, but this can change instantaneously with the first mistaken order, the first missile.

In 2009, President Obama stood before an adoring crowd in the centre of Prague, in the heart of Europe. He pledged himself to make “the world free from nuclear weapons”. People cheered and some cried. A torrent of platitudes flowed from the media. Obama was subsequently awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

It was all fake. He was lying.

The Obama administration has built more nuclear weapons, more nuclear warheads, more nuclear delivery systems, more nuclear factories. Nuclear warhead spending alone rose higher under Obama than under any American president. The cost over thirty years is more than $1 trillion.

A mini nuclear bomb is planned. It is known as the B61 Model 12. There has never been anything like it. General James Cartwright, a former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has said, “Going smaller [makes using this nuclear]weapon more thinkable.”

In the last eighteen months, the greatest build-up of military forces since World War Two – led by the United States – is taking place along Russia’s western frontier. Not since Hitler invaded the Soviet Union have foreign troops presented such a demonstrable threat to Russia.

Ukraine – once part of the Soviet Union – has become a CIA theme park. Having orchestrated a coup in Kiev, Washington effectively controls a regime that is next door and hostile to Russia: a regime rotten with Nazis, literally. Prominent parliamentary figures in Ukraine are the political descendants of the notorious OUN and UPA fascists. They openly praise Hitler and call for the persecution and expulsion of the Russian speaking minority.

This is seldom news in the West, or it is inverted to suppress the truth.

In Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia – next door to Russia – the US military is deploying combat troops, tanks, heavy weapons. This extreme provocation of the world’s second nuclear power is met with silence in the West.

What makes the prospect of nuclear war even more dangerous is a parallel campaign against China.

Seldom a day passes when China is not elevated to the status of a “threat”. According to Admiral Harry Harris, the US Pacific commander, China is “building a great wall of sand in the South China Sea”.

What he is referring to is China building airstrips in the Spratly Islands, which are the subject of a dispute with the Philippines – a dispute without priority until Washington pressured and bribed the government in Manila and the Pentagon launched a propaganda campaign called “freedom of navigation”.

What does this really mean? It means freedom for American warships to patrol and dominate the coastal waters of China. Try to imagine the American reaction if Chinese warships did the same off the coast of California.

I made a film called The War You Don’t See, in which I interviewed distinguished journalists in America and Britain: reporters such as Dan Rather of CBS, Rageh Omar of the BBC, David Rose of the Observer.

All of them said that had journalists and broadcasters done their job and questioned the propaganda that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction; had the lies of George W. Bush and Tony Blair not been amplified and echoed by journalists, the 2003 invasion of Iraq might not have happened, and hundreds of thousands of men, women and children would be alive today.

The propaganda laying the ground for a war against Russia and/or China is no different in principle. To my knowledge, no journalist in the Western “mainstream” – a Dan Rather equivalent, say – asks why China is building airstrips in the South China Sea.

The answer ought to be glaringly obvious. The United States is encircling China with a network of bases, with ballistic missiles, battle groups, nuclear-armed bombers.

This lethal arc extends from Australia to the islands of the Pacific, the Marianas and the Marshalls and Guam, to the Philippines, Thailand, Okinawa, Korea and across Eurasia to Afghanistan and India. America has hung a noose around the neck of China. This is not news. Silence by media; war by media.

In 2015, in high secrecy, the US and Australia staged the biggest single air-sea military exercise in recent history, known as Talisman Sabre. Its aim was to rehearse an Air-Sea Battle Plan, blocking sea lanes, such as the Straits of Malacca and the Lombok Straits, that cut off China’s access to oil, gas and other vital raw materials from the Middle East and Africa.

Trump’s views on migration are grotesque, but no more grotesque than those of David Cameron. It is not Trump who is the Great Deporter from the United States, but the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Barack Obama.

According to one prodigious liberal commentator, Trump is “unleashing the dark forces of violence” in the United States. Unleashing them?

This is the country where toddlers shoot their mothers and the police wage a murderous war against black Americans. This is the country that has attacked and sought to overthrow more than 50 governments, many of them democracies, and bombed from Asia to the Middle East, causing the deaths and dispossession of millions of people.

No country can equal this systemic record of violence. Most of America’s wars (almost all of them against defenceless countries) have been launched not by Republican presidents but by liberal Democrats: Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Obama.

In 1947, a series of National Security Council directives described the paramount aim of American foreign policy as “a world substantially made over in [America’s] own image”. The ideology was messianic Americanism. We were all Americans. Or else. Heretics would be converted, subverted, bribed, smeared or crushed.

Donald Trump is a symptom of this, but he is also a maverick. He says the invasion of Iraq was a crime; he doesn’t want to go to war with Russia and China. The danger to the rest of us is not Trump, but Hillary Clinton. She is no maverick. She embodies the resilience and violence of a system whose vaunted “exceptionalism” is totalitarian with an occasional liberal face.

As presidential election day draws near, Clinton will be hailed as the first female president, regardless of her crimes and lies – just as Barack Obama was lauded as the first black president and liberals swallowed his nonsense about “hope”. And the drool goes on.

Described by the Guardian columnist Owen Jones as “funny, charming, with a coolness that eludes practically every other politician”, Obama the other day sent drones to slaughter 150 people in Somalia. He kills people usually on Tuesdays, according to the New York Times, when he is handed a list of candidates for death by drone. So cool.

In the 2008 presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton threatened to “totally obliterate” Iran with nuclear weapons. As Secretary of State under Obama, she participated in the overthrow of the democratic government of Honduras. Her contribution to the destruction of Libya in 2011 was almost gleeful. When the Libyan leader, Colonel Gaddafi, was publicly sodomised with a knife – a murder made possible by American logistics – Clinton gloated over his death: “We came, we saw, he died.”

One of Clinton’s closest allies is Madeleine Albright, the former Secretary of State, who has attacked young women for not supporting “Hillary”. This is the same Madeleine Albright who infamously celebrated on TV the death of half a million Iraqi children as “worth it”.

Among Clinton’s biggest backers are the Israel lobby and the arms companies that fuel the violence in the Middle East. She and her husband have received a fortune from Wall Street. And yet, she is about to be ordained the women’s candidate, to see off the evil Trump, the official demon. Her supporters include distinguished feminists: the likes of Gloria Steinem in the US and Anne Summers in Australia.

A generation ago, a post-modern cult now known as “identity politics” stopped many intelligent, liberal-minded people examining the causes and individuals they supported – such as the fakery of Obama and Clinton; such as bogus progressive movements like Syriza in Greece, which betrayed the people of that country and allied with their enemies.

Self-absorption, a kind of “me-ism”, became the new zeitgeist in privileged western societies and signalled the demise of great collective movements against war, social injustice, inequality, racism and sexism.

Today, the long sleep may be over. The young are stirring again. Gradually. The thousands in Britain who supported Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader are part of this awakening – as are those who rallied to support Senator Bernie Sanders.

In Britain last week, Jeremy Corbyn’s closest ally, his shadow treasurer John McDonnell, committed a Labour government to pay off the debts of piratical banks and, in ef

fect, to continue so-called austerity.

In the US, Bernie Sanders has promised to support Clinton if or when she’s nominated. He, too, has voted for America’s use of violence against countries when he thinks it’s “right”. He says Obama has done “a great job”.

In Australia, there is a kind of mortuary politics, in which tedious parliamentary games are played out in the media while refugees and Indigenous people are persecuted and inequality grows, along with the danger of war. The government of Malcolm Turnbull has just announced a so-called defence budget of $195 billion that is a drive to war. There was no debate. Silence.

What has happened to the great tradition of popular direct action, unfettered to parties? Where is the courage, imagination and commitment required to begin the long journey to a better, just and peaceful world? Where are the dissidents in art, film, the theatre, literature?

Where are those who will shatter the silence? Or do we wait until the first nuclear missile is fired?

Not very long ago I witnessed an exchange between two women, both old enough to know better, who were trying to outbid each other in expressing contempt for men and making hyperbolic statements about how wonderful the world would be if women were in charge. I have since defriended one at Facebook, someone I'd been in contact with for many years, because she dismissed people who voted to leave the EU as ignorant, illiterated, racist, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic bigots and suggested only educated people be allowed to vote because working class people are too stupid to understand what they are voting for (yet she was voting for the EU and fascism, the working class voted for freedom,) the other is on the brink after declaring that Donald Trump's coarse statements about women should see him thrown out of the election, but was quite happy with Hillary Clinton's pledge to escalate the Syrian conflict into a direct confrontation with Russia.

Here you have an illustration of my problem with authoritarian 'liberals' and socialists, they are hypocrites; a conservative or libertarian is always wrong no matter what they say, someone who identifies as left wing cannot be wrong even when supporting a politician who stands for all they claim to hate.

'Conspiracy Theories' on Syria revealed as true two years after writer was killed

American reporter Serena Shim staked her professional reputation and ultimately her life on her efforts to prove the United States and its NATO  allies, rather than opposing extremist terror groups in the middle east, were actually helping Al Nusra front (Obama's beloved 'moderate rebels,) and the Islamic State. Shim was killed two years ago on October 19, 2014, during the battle for the Syrian city of Kobani, close to the Turkish border which was at the the centre of western media attention. She was 29 when she died and was engaged in trying to raise awareness that Kobani was one of the points at which US and Saudi Arabian arms and essential supplies were crossing from Turkey into Syria en route to ISIS strongholds.

Recently, while the attention of the American and European public has been diverted by the Clinton - Trump kerfuffle, Kim Kardashian's latest attention seeking stunts, the Brexit vote and the ongoing collapse of the European Union, as we have reported in many of our posts, the war in Syria has escalated tensions between the US / NATO alliance and the Russia / Chin / Iran bloc to levels that could easily see regional warfare escalate into global conflict between nuclear superpowers. Pundits in Washington, Brussels (NATO & European Union headquarters), London and Paris have warned of this possibility, yet the Obama administration and their NATO puppets have continued to make their priority in Syria the removal of the Assad regime rather than the defeat of ISIS and eradication of Islamic extremism. This is in spite of Russia's President Putin warning that any attack on Assad would draw a military response from Russia.

US Army General Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, stated that a “no-fly zone” in Syria, which Hillary Clinton has called for in her presidential campaign, would lead to war with Russia,  Dunford issued his warning during a September 22 Senate committee hearing but Hillary Clinton has continued pushing the war line and demonising Russia as the warmonger, even as she admitted the risks similar risks of increasing military involvement in Syria. “You’re going to kill a lot of Syrians,” she said during a speech to corporate bankers at a Goldman Sachs event.

It should be remembered that all Russia's actions in Syria have been entirely legitimate, the Russians having been asked by Assad to assist in opposing ISIS. Bombing raids and military support from the USA for anti - Assad forces has constituted acts of war; US airstrikes and supply of weapons to terrorists are crimes against humanity. It is all clearly defined in the United Nations charter but that document like the US Constitution is something President Barack Hussein Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton believe they can rewrite according to their whim.

Serena Shim was an American citizen of Lebanese descent who was born near Detroit and worked for Iranian broadcaster Press TV as a foreign correspondent covering wars, legitimate protests and fake uprisings in mainly middle easter countries. She reported on events in Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and Lebanon since 2011, from the beginning of protests and the unrest triggered by a speech Obama gave in Cairo in 2009 in which he pledged the support of the USA to terrorists and rebel groups trying to overthrow legitimate (though sometimes undemocratic and authoritarian) regimes. These protests were misrepresented by western media as the reasons for the fake civil war in Syria which is truly a US invasion by proxy.
Days before her death, Serena Shim reported on live television (you would not have seen it on CNN or the BBC of course) that Turkish intelligence services were planning to arrest her on suspicion of being a spy. (A video of Shim talking bout this harrassment is embedded in this Daily Mail report) The day after her death, US  State Department officials said it would be December 2017 before a Freedom of Information Act request could be completed for information on what actions were taken by them to assist her as a US citizen. In other words the Obama administration threw her to the hyenas.

We have l;earned recently from Hillary Clinton’s hacked emails leaked by Wikileaks that the US State Dept and White House knew Saudi Arabia and Qatar are funding Islamic State. Clinton admitted asa much  in an email conversation from August 2014  that US allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar were sending money and weapons to ISIL. August 2014 was the height of terror during Islamic State’s rise, leading to the growing international media outrage which forced President Obama to publicly announce the beginning of airstrikes against ISIL in Syria on September 23, 2014.

America Is Lost: Rigged election, Rigged Media, Rigged Candidate says Assange

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of Julian Assange's death were greatly exaggerated. After his web feed was cut by staff at the Ecuadorian Embassy earlier this week Assange's usual stream of tweets, leaks and posts was stilled. The web, being the web, went mad with conspiracy theories but Wikileaks themselves did not comment on the wilder speculation.

Well Julian is back on Hillary's case, and this time it's more personal than ever.

After consistently leaking damaging internal information from both the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign on an almost daily basis for months, much of which provides evidence of criminal behavior sufficient to trigger a police investigation were anybody but a member of the Washington 'liberal' (née neocon) elite the chief suspect, but seemingly has no impact on the Mrs Clinton's ratings in the polls, Julian Assange has concluded that "There is no US election. There is power consolidation. Rigged primary,
rigged media and rigged 'pied piper' candidate drive consolidation.
"

Another way of looking at it is that Mrs. Clinton's continued involvement in the election race shows that to her supporters the fact that Hillary Clinton has a vagina (allegedly) is more important that evidence of her involvement in crime, ranging from high treason to cheating Bernie Sanders out of the nomination, or that her biggest campaign priomise and the one she is likely to keep is that she will seek war with Russia. This blog can't understand why the candidate's genitals should be a factor in the election. After all, in every election from 1988, Americans have voted to put a cunt in The White House.

It is difficult to disagree with Assange's assessment (or ours for that matter). That an establishment candidate, the ultimate Washington insider, running for The Democratic Party which claims it supports poor people and minorities, can still be in the race after an extended FBI investigation into a security scandal involving handling classified material on an unsecured private network that concluded multiple federal laws were clearly and intentionally broken by Mrs Clinton and her staff, and clear evidence that the decision not to prosecute was influenced by the intervention of President Barack Hussein Obama in what amounted to a gross abuse of power, is astounding. Equally astounding is that evidence of collusion between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department during the time Hillary Clinton was Secretary has not warranted an investigation. Throw in evidence from WikiLeaks clearly linking the DNC to criminal efforts to incite violence at rallies, electoral fraud during the Democratic Party primaries, contravention of electoral rules in accepting donations from foreign governments, blatant media collusion, etc, etc, and it actually becomes clear that The Obama Administration and the Democratic party (heavily influenced by the Clinton's have introduced levels of corruption normally found in third world failed states into the political system of the USA.
And, while no amount of corruption or scandal seems to sway an American electorate that is intent upon throwing the country off a cliff, Assange has promised a "surprise" for Tim Kaine and the Democrats' "persecuted christian woman", Donna Brazile who assumed the role of chair of the Democratic National Committee (as a thanks for helping Hillary stab Bernie Sanders in the back?) after her predecessor was made the patsy for Hillary's email treason.Let's hope that finally wakes up mainstream media to tell the truth about the election being rigged in favour of the Wall Street / Corporate / Military - Industrial complex candidate.

The real irony is that Hillary Clinton represents all of that which the 'liberals' of the 'progressive left' claim they hate most, yet still they support her because her vagina blinds them to the (not fit for purpose) quality of her character, just as eight years ago the colour of Obama's skin blinded mostly the same people to the fact that he was a plant who in office would be a neocon puppet.
