The Far Right Are On The March - Should We Be Afraid?

 

According to many talking heads on TV and internet video blogs the 'far right' are currently posing threats to democracy and the rule of law throughout Europe as well as in the UK. But who are these terrifying monsters and what do they stand for?

The rise of new, populist parties can be attributed largely to mass immigration. Over the past 25 years millions of poorly educated, unskilled migrants have entered European nations and caused havoc by their inability and unwilligness to integrate with local society and custioms. This blog has written many thousands of words on the topic. It now seems, however, that the normally placid and tolerant British have had enough. A very ugly mood has developed among the white working class since the Labour government assumed power in July 2024.

Between the riots of last summer and record migration rates of 900,000 in 2023, a less aggressive feeling of discontent has been superseded by anger due largely to the renewed controversy over Asian rape gangs and in particular, the apparent failures and cover-ups by establishment politicians. 

Farage’s softer nationalism, as well as his online spat with Elon Musk over support for the activist Tommy Robinson, has presented fringe groups to the right of Reform UK with an opportunity. Reflecting a resurgent brand of impassioned ethnonationalism, it is understandable that they feel like their moment has come.

At heart, the ethnonationalist believes that nationhood,  and the resultant social and political benefits,  can only truly be shared by those with a common race. Their movement is fuelled by the sense of a coming threat, the idea that a racial identity dating back over a thousand years could be wiped out. The flood of immigration in recent years and the ensuing change to Britain’s ethnic make-up has given succour to ethnonationalist arguments, and these are growing louder on the political fringes.

The far-Right in the UK was once dominated by the British National Party, led in its heyday by Nick Griffin. The BNP reached its peak in 2009 when it secured two MEPs and a little under a million votes in European Parliament elections — spurred on by migration figures that had reached around 200,000 after which, under constant attack from left wing media and intense scrutiny from the 'Thought Police' it faded rapidly.

The ethno-nationalists that are now being referred to as 'far right' to are depressing but can a better case be made for the ethnic state, a British Britain? After all Japan has remained Japanese and is anyone calling her racist? Then there is a much wider, more respectable and accepted desire to reduce the amount and speed of immigration, as suggested by Reform; which is actually driven by a desire to preserve the white British. 

Then again, in the 19th c. ethnic citizen states like Italy or Greece were liberal causes, in opposition to reactionary dynastic Empires like Hapsburg Austria or Ottoman Turkey.

 Further consider Britain in 1945. It was essentially a white British country with a common history, common culture and common ‘race’ – yes, there tiny exceptions. But wasn’t there a far greater sense of a national community and sense of social solidarity, and a far greater trust in our government and media? There were acute social divisions but these were family arguments which could be forthrightly addressed and we had the Attlee Labour government reforms – there was some real levelling up.

Compare that with today where England has become Multiracial-land. A sense of ‘us’and ‘our country’ has gone as population growth is now due entirely to immigration, we’ve become consumers not citizens and we distrust and even loathe our politicians and MSM, mainstream media – now the guard dogs of the establishment rather than watchdogs of the people – and even free speech is under threat as 'far left' Prime Minister Kweir Smarmer promises to jail anybody who challenges the government on any controversial issue.

So though we are richer, or some of us are, things are worse and isn’t that largely due to mass immigration, a policy  which, incidentally, has never ben put to the electorate and so has never enjoyed a democratic mandate no democratic mandate?

Shouldn’t we have seen that diversity, a key cause of civil conflict worldwide, is foolish to import?

Doesn’t basic evolutionary theory suggest in an imperfect world that having people like you as fellow citizens is wise – follow the science? In our affirmation of multiculturalism we affirm the ethnicity of the minorities so why not our own? Kaufmann in his White Shift predicts with continuing immigration there will be no white British at a point in the next century. Are we sure that’s a social good?

If we insist that it is, that we must all be racially beige, are we telling the rest of the world that , and that they must follow us, and what will they say? Yes, there is the USA, but how is it doing for social cohesion of a multi ethnic, multi cultural population?

Now we do know about the hideousness of uber nationalism, the one thing schools tell you about, but isn’t a moderate ethnic nationalism a real good, an essential social glue? We respect it in Ukraine after all. Think about it. If we are white, aren’t we a bit neurotic about race? It is actually part of who we are and it is actually OK. IT DOESN’T MAKE US BETTER OR WORSE, we are all part of a common humanity, but just a little different – if we looked in the mirror one morning and saw a change it would be a shock.

All this applies to any race, of course and we just need mutual respect, but for us whites too, and for our countries and our cultures as well. And for the people Lownie refers to, the British ethno-nationalists, Goodhart’s Somewhere People and often left behind too, who in their frustration and anger get it so wrong, and so conveniently can be ignored, might not a firm and fair commitment to the historic population, properly led by the educated, be what we all need?

The head of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, former Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte has finally admitted that despite constant misinformation pumped out and passed off as news reporting by western mainstream media Ukraine is being destroyed by Russia and giving the impression that the Ukies are winning will not help Ukraine at the negotiating table in any potential future talks. His cutionary words words might also be aimed at sabotaging expected Trump efforts to quickly end the war.

NATO Secretary General Rutte, speaking on Monday (13 Jan 2025) acknowledged that Ukraine is not yet in a strong position to begin peace talks, though there is less than a week before President-elect Donald Trump enters the White House. Fortunately Trump has backed off his pledge to end the war within 30 days.

"At this moment, clearly, Ukraine is not there," Rutte told the European parliament's foreign affairs and defense committees. "Because they cannot, at this moment, negotiate from a position of strength. And we have to do more to make sure, by changing the trajectory of the conflict, that they can get to the position of strength."

Talking though his arse as usual, uktra - liberal and European Federalist Rutte went on to say that the hope is to obtain security guarantees so that Ukraine can never be attacked by Russia again. He said that this involves mapping out Ukraine's future relations with NATO.

"But it’s too early now to exactly sketch out what that exactly will mean, also something we have to discuss with the incoming U.S. administration," he stated. "But let’s hope that we will get to that point as soon as possible."

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said last Friday that the latest energy sanctions placed on Russia were not intended to be a "bargaining chip" that can be taken off the table when Ukraine is ready to negotiate.

"There's no expectation right now that either side is ready to negotiate," he stated, also emphasizing that timing is up to the Ukrainian government. This contradicts recent signals from both sides that they are ready to negotiate, although the dire situation Ukraine finds itself in right now indicate Russia would have the upper hand.

The Washington Post claims that Biden’s actions could create significant hurdles for Trump if he seeks to lift sanctions. Key obstacles include the legal framework under which the sanctions are authorized and the likelihood of strong congressional resistance.

“It’s entirely up to [the next administration] to determine whether, when, and on what terms they might lift any sanctions we put in place,” a senior Biden official is quoted as saying. However, current sanctions laws give Congress the power to block any move to ease restrictions.

This leaves Trump with limited options, potentially forcing him to maintain the pressure on Moscow despite his calls for a quick settlement in Ukraine. Michael Waltz, Trump’s incoming national security adviser, has argued for leveraging the sanctions as a sweetener to draw Russian President Vladimir Putin into peace talks.

Everyone should welcome these moves by Trump and his team and hope it is the first step towards a less interventionist policy in Washington. An America focused on it’s own hemisphere instead of roaming the world stirring up trouble? What’s not to like ?Russia, China, and the US agreeing to spheres of influence to lesson the potential for conflict? What’s not to like?

I guess if you’re one of these idiots who still belive Ukraine is winning and have bought into the scams like climate change, multiculturalism, and rules based order without realizing that they were the chains designed to bind you in servitude to a global government, then yes, you’re going to be upset as the 'new normal' becomes the old abnormal.

What many fail to understand is that Trump is an American Putin. Yes, he is certainly more crass, less polished, and lacking many of the intellectual refinements and historical groundings of Putin. But like Putin he is an unapologetic nationalist who believes in the past, present, and future greatness of his nation. Like Putin he explicitly rejects the moral authority and validity of the so-called international rules based order. And like Putin, he is always willing to negotiate and talk.

Trump acknowledged Putin’s security concerns the other day when he said that he understood why Putin wouldn’t want NATO in Ukraine. That makes him the first US president I can remember to admit that adversaries have their own interest and are motivated by other things that malevolence or because “they hate our freedoms”.

That is a radical 180 degree departure from US foreign policy of the last forty years. If you don’t believe me, ask yourself a series of questions. Who are the two most demonized political figures in the world today? The obvious answers are Trump and Putin. Who are the parties doing the demonizing? In both cases it is the exact same people. The globalist class in the US and the Eurolefties have Putin and Trump as joint No.1 on their public enemies list. Why do they hate them so much? That answer is less clear in it’s entirety but it is clear that if they are demonized the most by the people this board claims to hate, then they are seen as the biggest threats to agenda 30 and the progress towards global government..

 As for the battlefield, there's near universal consensus at this point that Russian forces are winning. Steady gains have persisted in the Donetsk region, while Ukraine's audacious but utterly stupid attempt to piss off theRussian leadership by staging a small incursion into the sparsely populated and poorly defended Kursk region is collapsing as the Ukie forces, now cut of from any retreat option, are slowly being slaughtered. For some insane reason The Biden Administration and NATO leaders in Europe appear to want this war to continue indefinitely.

UK Faces A Fate Worse Than Blackouts - Net Zero Electricity If Energy Policy Is Not Abandoned

 

Major UK domestic and commercial gas supplier Centrica’s stark warning last week that Britain’s gas storage is now “concerningly low” with less that a week's supply in reserve after the last period of 'dunkelflaute' (low to zero wind and sub zero temperatures,) cause demand to soar, triggered desperate measures  to keep the lights on, with some of Britain’s oldest power stations being paid £2 million an hour to meet demand, monry which wll end up on consumers; bills.

The first two weeks of 2025 saw first storms which forced the wind farms on which we are increasingly dependent of energy, to be shut down to prevent high winds damaging the vanes on the turbines, followed by a period of 'dunkelflaute' a weather pattern of low or zero wind speeds accompanied by freezing temperatures that can last for a few days to several weeks and this time gave us coldest night in Britain for 15 years. It was also the first real test for Britain’s new National Energy System Operator (NESO), part of the labour government's mission to create a new Qango a day throughout its term of office. 

Could this new bureaucratic entity convince us that it was able to deliver reliable and affordable supplies and was fit for purpose? Of course it couldn't, bureucracies never deliver anything except incompetence and failure. NESO failed on both counts and as a result consumers and businesses are now facing huge extra costs which will find their way onto bills in the coming months.

Our governments' (past and present for two hand a half decades,) efforts towards the mytical Net Zero (for comparison think of The Holy Grail on steroids,) which have only worked  to the detriment of our Country, Citizens and Society have just been wiped out by the toxic fumes from the Los Angeles wildfires  in America. The next volcano to erupt somewhere in the world will spew more CO2 and toxic gases into the atmosphere than we could save in ten years were we to switch off all carbon dioxide emitting technologies and return to a medieval lifestyle.

 As we have seen over the last week no wind no energy generated, but this clownshow government and Ed Miliband, its idiot Energy Secretary is going to build wind farms, solar panels and pylon routes all from imported technology, because in their fanatical zeal to 'lead the world to net zero' our governments  have forced the furnaces and factories down. 

This country sits on vast reserves of coal, we still have Gas in the north see, we have unimaginable reserves of oil/gas in the Falklands and we have designed and built mini nuclear reactors which are selling abroad ?

 We can only wonder how many old people have died during this most recent cold weather spell? No government department or agency is going to be in a hurry to release such data because should it become public the streets woud surely be filled with protesters once more.

Labours only answer is more bloody windmills, solar panels and pylons, thereby ensuring prices will go even higher, whilst the government misinformation team tries to distract us with crackpot schemes to import solar energy from The Sahara desert, talk of Artificial Intelligence boosting the economy. Unfortunately the giant data centres needed for AI systems eat electricirty and will need a decicated power station each according to reports. 

 Sadly the case is Mad Miliband and Sleazy SStarmer can build 10 times the number of windmills and thousands of miles of electricity pylons, and cover vast acreages of good farmland with solar panels which will deface and destroy the natural beauty of our countryside but when the wind doesn’t blow and the sun doesn't shine (sunset to sunrise every day at least,) they’re all absolutely useless. 

No amout of mathematical modelling by pseudo scientits can solve the inherent unreliability of wind and solar power by building more windmills and sun farms. So we’ll be forever stuck with the problem of providing emergency back up power at eye watering prices as we’ve just seen in the last few days. 

The situation can only become worse the further Mad Miliband, the swivel eyed idealogue forces us to rely on wind and solar by shutting down the gas and nuclear powered generating stations. Furthermore, if the wind blows too hard these windmills can’t operate because it’s dangerous and if the wind blows just right we occasionally have too much wind power and the operators are then actually paid for the power they would have been able to produce had they not been told to shut some of them down to prevent the grid being damaged by overloads. 

These problem will never go away. Somebody, an engineer, logician or economist needs explain in very simple terms to the stupid politicians and OCD afflicted pseudo scientists that the only way to stop and start gas fired power stations quickly is by utilizing open cycle gas turbines but these burn twice as much gas and produce twice the CO2 emissions than combined cycle gas turbines which are much more efficient but are designed to run continuously and once taken offline cannot be brought back in less than a few hours. Put simply wind power is unaffordable and actually increases our overall CO2 emissions when looking at our power production from all sources.

Britain now has the highest industrial energy prices in the world, has fallen out of the world’s top 10 manufacturers, increasingly risks power rationing, and is spending over £3 billion a year to import electricity from Europe. A generation of flawed energy policies have wreaked havoc on consumers and the problem is getting worse, contrary to Ed Miliband’s belief that prioritising wind and solar over new nuclear and gas is the answer.

UK electricity prices are nearly 50 per cent above the International Energy Agency median for industrial electricity and 80 per cent above the median for domestic users. Our businesses pay almost four times as much as Americans for power and our consumers three times. This is hugely concerning when Labour’s net zero plans will see Britain using much more electricity for cars and household heating, irrespective of it being far more expensive than gas.

Why are we still insisting in going down this futile, blinkered route - Ed Miliband is throwing SO much money at? What happens when our credit runs out, which it will do eventually because the government must bortow every month to finance its day to day business. We CAN'T afford all these wild plans - what use are the reserves in the North Sea when it's not politically correct to use fossil fuels.  Our approach appears to be lets throw more money at the problem while other countries around us are being pragmatic and using what they have to hand.

Following its launch in October, the aforementioned NESO released its Winter Outlook report which forecast peak electricity demand would be 44.4 gigawatts (GW) at any one time. But last week saw demand for electricity close to 50 GW. At this critical time, output from wind turbines had fallen away and there were problems importing power from Europe on which Britain is becoming overdependent.

Britain’s chronic lack of gas storage, at just 12 days, is another failure of national planning. While France enjoys robust storage at 113 days and Germany at 89, the failure to act will now encourage suppliers to charge more when demand spikes on cold days, especially as Britain is one of Europe’s largest per capita users of gas. Why wasn’t storage prioritised, especially after Putin’s invasion of Ukraine?

The failure of this most important national policy represents one of the biggest failings in statecraft since World War Two. The consequences are stark, ranging from the loss of our competitiveness and rising fuel poverty, to the UK becoming dangerously vulnerable to future energy crises. And for what end?  

Facts are important. Between 2004 and 2021, before the war in Ukraine, the industrial price of energy in Britain tripled in nominal terms (153 per cent) or doubled relative to consumer prices. Electricity prices have doubled since 2019. This has led to a huge slice of Britain’s manufacturing base already choosing to relocate overseas. Since 2010, over 200,000 manufacturing jobs have been lost; as a share of GDP, manufacturing has halved since the 1990s.

A failing energy policy inflicts huge pain on households, industry and the wider economy. It restricts investment, offshores energy intensive industry, and stunts job creation. We must urgently address and tackle how and why a generation of political leaders and civil servants have failed and continue to do so.

Rotherham Rape Gang Scandal -The Cover Up And The Evidence

Something that has appalled us Boggart Bloggers in the days since Elon Musk waded into UK political debate and reignited the scandal over multiple failures by government at all levels, social services departments, care agencies, the police and mainstream media to act on numerous reports of organised gangs of (mainly Pakistani) Muslim men systematiclly grooming, raping and abusing young girls, is the number of lefties in media and in comment threads trying to discredit those of us who hae been highlighting this issue by claiming there is 'no evidence' of a coverup or any failure or dereliction of duty by any official and the whole thing has been cooked up by 'far right' conspiracy theorists. 

There is ample evidence, some of which is presented here, showing that while the authorities turned a blind eye, fearing that action would open them to accusations of racism and might provoke inter racial conflict in their communities, in spite of some prosecutions the abuse continued unabated and is still going on. The posts below focus on events in the city of Rotherham in Yorkshire, and the 2014 report into the crimes commissioned by Rotherham City Council and led by Sociology Professor Alexis Jay. They said they wanted evidence, the alt_news community can bury these snivelling collaborators in evidence. A link to the full rext of Prof. Jay's report is included in the text. 

In view of the vitriolic attacks on people who have lobbied for a full national public inquiry into the scandal we think these posts are too important to languish in the archives while the terrible crimes inflicted on oung women and girsl go unpunished and the perpetrators are free to continue their depraved activities.

 

12 More Men Charged with Child Sex Abuse Offences in Grooming Gang Investigation

In the latest development of the now globally notorious Rotherham sex abuse case, a further 12 Muslim men of Pakistani or Bangladeshi origin have been charged in connection with the sexual abuse of eight young girls in Rotherham as part of a National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation into child abuse among predominantly Muslim grooming gangs.

Aged between 33 and 38, the men are accused of a total of 44 offences including rape and false imprisonment. This latest prosecution brings the number charged under Operation Stovewood — the Agency’s probe into historical child sex abuse in the Yorkshire town — to 21.

The latest charges are related to eight girls under the age of 16, over a five year period from 1998 to 2008, according to the NCA.

Mohammed Ashan, 33, and Waseem Khaliq, 33, each of whom face indecent assault and rape charges, and 33-year-old Masaeud Malik, charged with one count of indecent assault, remain in custody according to the NCA’s press release. Nabeel Kurshid, 34, and Iqlak Yousaf, 33, each face two allegations of rape and one of indecent assault, whilst 38-year-old Amjal Rafiq has been charged with false imprisonment and indecent assault. Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, 36, Tanweer Ali, 36, Aftab Hussain, 38, and Abid Saddiq, 36, each face a string of accusations including indecent assault and rape, according to the Daily Mail. Salah Ahmed El-Hakam, 38, is charged with one count of rape, whilst 33-year-old Sharaz Hussain faces one count of indecent assault.

All 12 men are due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on the 24th of October.

Senior investigating officer, Paul Williamson, said: “We have now charged 21 men with over 94 child sexual abuse offences and expect this number to increase as more victims come forward. "Officers are investigating more than 80 suspects and with the support of partner agencies, are currently engaging with 235 victims.

"Our focus is to bring lasting and worthwhile benefits for victims, helping to build better futures.

"We will listen to their accounts and investigate allegations made to identify and bring offenders to justice.

"This focus has not wavered and we, along with our partners will persist in our efforts to make Rotherham a hostile environment for child sex offenders."

In 2014, a government report authored by Prof. Alexis Jay revealed that more than 1,400 children had been raped, trafficked, and sexually abused in Rotherham by gangs of mostly Muslim men.

The NCA set up Operation Stovewood after an independent inquiry conducted in 2014 found evidence that both South Yorkshire police and the local council had turned a blind eye to the abuse for fear of being accused of racism, and out of concern that taking action would damage "community relations".

Last year The Yorkshire Post reported how almost 200 police officers were under investigation by the police watchdog for conspiring to cover up the abuse.

South Yorkshire Police Commissioner Shaun Wright Finally Resigns Over Rotherham Child Abuse Scandal

The man who bears most responsibility for failure to investigate the Rotherham child abuse scandal has finally resigned after three weeks of excuses and evasions.

Police Commissioner Wright has been under pressure ever since a report by Prof Alexis Jay (see below) revealed a huge level of child abuse in the South Yourkshire town of Rotherham. The organised sex crime rings had been operating for many years but large scalw abouse was taking place on Wright's watch while police turned a blind eye because the perpetrators were predominantly Asian and it would have been politically incorrect to go after them.

Wright has until now resisted calls for his resignation, but in a statement issued today, he said: "My role as South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner has clearly become prominent in terms of public opinion and media coverage following the publication of Professor Alexis Jay's report.

"This is detracting from the important issue, which should be everybody's focus - the 1400 victims outlined in the report - and in providing support to victims and bringing to justice the criminals responsible for the atrocious crimes committed against them.

"With this in mind, I feel that it is now right, to step down... for the sake of those victims, for the sake of the public of South Yorkshire and to ensure that the important issues outlined in the report about tackling child sexual exploitation can be discussed and considered in full and without distraction."

UKIP MEP Jane Collins, who was narrowly beated in a by election for the town's parliamentary seat but now looks likely to win it at next year's general election, has called for Wright to now face legal action over his failure to protect children.

"This man should be prosecuted for his many failures to act to protect children, while serving as cabinet member for child services on Rotherham MBC," she said.

"It is disgusting that he has waited this long to resign. The audacity of those involved in the numerous grave failings of Rotherham Council and Child Protection Services is appalling. Do they still not accept or understand the severity of the consequences of their wilful inaction?

"I can only hope that now Wright has gone, others directly involved in covering up these horrific crimes will also resign from their highly paid, public funded positions and permit investigation into how this entire sorry affair was able to go unchecked for so many years.

"Joyce Thacker, Strategic Director of Children’s Services in Rotherham should certainly be considering her position today, as should every single one of the town's councillors present when the issue of child sexual exploitation was discussed in graphic detail at a council meeting in 2005."

Looks like the fun, finger pointing, blame shifting and recrimination has a long way to run in Rotherham.

Here's a question for wannabe Mastermind contestants. If South Yorkshire Police can mount a raid on the home of pop singer Sir Cliff Richard, two hundred miles away from their patch in pursuit of evidence linked to a single and unsubstantiated allegation of child sex abuse 30 years ago, why were the same South Yorkshire Police force unable to conduct a proper investigation into multiple allegations against men who raped 1,400 children over 16 years?

Rotherham, once a respectable northern industrial town has now become a byword for depravity thanks to the politically correct multiuculturalism that permits what are to British values acts of gross depravity by people who identify themselves as being of a different culture against some of the most vulnerable people in society. We have seen child-grooming cases before, but the appalling histories revealed in the report by Professor Alexis Jay (full text, 159 pagtes in pdf format) amount to evidence of abuse on an industrial scale.

Jay states that men of Pakistani heritage treated white girls like toilet paper. They picked children up from schools and care homes and trafficked them across northern cities for other men to join in the fun. They doused a 15-year-old in petrol and threatened to set her alight should she dare to report them. They menaced entire families and made young girls watch as they raped other children.

These truly horrible things happened in our country – not in the distant, brutal past, not in the distant, brutal conflict zones of the thid world, but here in our british cities as recently as last year according to evidence and only a fool would believe it is not still going on. All but one of the perpetrators brought to trial in Rotherham were Muslims of Pakistani heritage who would have related to Cliff Richard’s 1950s hit, Living Doll.

The dolls of Rotherham were bent and twisted to their masters’ will. There was no escape, the abuse was so gross they were desensitised, gang rape, anal rape, sadism, it was all there. As the sterling Professor Jay observes, South Yorkshire Police and the smug superior local politicians in the Labour Party dominated town "regarded many child victims with contempt", nothing more than scum from broken homes.

One 11-year-old known as Child H told police that she and another girl had been sexually assaulted by grown men. Nothing was done. When she was 12, Child H was found in the back of a taxi with a man who had indecent pictures of her on his phone. Despite the full co-operation of her father, who insisted his daughter was being abused, police failed to act. Four months later, Child H was found in a house alone with a group of Pakistani men. What did the police do? They arrested the child for being drunk and disorderly and ignored her abusers. It was not this poor, abused child who waas scum but the coppers who betrayed their oath in order to suck up to their left wing political bosses.

May blames 'institutionalised political correctness' for Rotherham scandal

Theresa May has described the failures of police and council agencies in Rotherham to deal with child sex abuse as a complete dereliction of duty. In a strongly worded statement, the home secretary told MPs that "institutionalised political correctness" had contributed to the authorities turning a blind eye to the abuse of at least 1,400 in Rotherham between 1997 to 2013.

"Like the rest of this House, I was appalled to read about these victims and the horrific experiences to which they were subjected," she said. "Many also suffered the injustice of seeing their cries for help ignored and the perpetrators not yet brought to justice. There can be no excuse for that."

May, who was responding to an urgent question by Yvette Cooper, the shadow home secretary, said she would meet Prof Alexis Jay – who wrote last week's damning report into the Rotherham child sex abuse scandal – and chair meetings with other ministers, to see what could be done to prevent any repeats.

Yorkshire MP Julian Smith has now pitched in, saying the Government must take control of Rotherham council’s children’s services department to prevent more kids from being abused.

“It beggars belief that Rotherham Council today retains responsibility for children’s services,” he said.

The Labour Party, which has traditionally controlled Rotherham council said it was suspending the council Labour group's former leader, deputy leader and two former Mayors as the fall-out from the scandal continues to gather momentum. Soros, Not Musk, Interfering In Democracy Says Italy's Giorgia Meloni

 While the German political establishment are working thelmselves into a frenzy over Elon Musk's support for populist party Alternatif fur Deutschland (AfD) in the upcoming general election which has been forced on a nation in the midst of multiple crises by the collapse of a ruling coalition when the minority FDP, a pro busines, classical liberal party could no longer support policies forced on the main party, the far left SDP by the loony left Greens, Italy's Prime Minister has kicked another hornets nest.

 In Rome recently Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni addressed accusations that Musk's comments via X on political matters in Europe amount to interference in national politics. Meloni said that Elon Musk’s political posts on X do not pose a threat to democracy; while Marxist oligarch George Soros, continuously interfers in the politics of other nations and has done so for decades. 

The Germans are in a funk over Musk interviewing Alice Weidel of the AfD.  Meloni is right on target. The left wants a monopoly on media access and arrogates to themselves alone who to silence and who gets heard. There were several attempts by the coalition before its government collapsed, to have AfD banned from contesting elections by delaring them a threat to democracy. Thus the coalition parties were themselves behaving like the Nazis they falsely accuse the AfD of resembling.

That the MSM is happy to act as the establishment's propaganda arm and official censor is insufficient when alternatives like podcasts evade their control.  The EU has promulgated the tools to deal with those who dare challenge the green, woke WEF orthodoxy. By challenging these laws made by unelected bureaucrats, Musk has them apoplectic as the centre - right advances in so many EU countries.

“I would also like to remind you of the German side’s interference in the Italian election campaign,” Meloni said, referring to previous German concerns about the right-wing position she represented.

Soros has long been a controversial figure due to his manipulation of stock and currency markets to create financial instability, his sponsorship of NGOs involved in trafficking illegal immigrants into Europe and his involvement in the politics of nations around the world through donations to far left politicians and parties. 

Far-left billionaire George Soros has a legion of loyal lieutenants who’ve racked up over two dozen meetings with top officials at the White House since President Biden took office, The New York Post reports.

The progressive kingmaker’s unrivaled access into the Biden administration extends well beyond his 37-year-old son Alexander, who chairs the powerful, liberal grant-making network Open Society Foundations founded by his dad, and as The Post reported on Page 1 last week, has taken on the role of a de-facto White House “ambassador” by making at least 14 visits there.

At least four other past or present leaders at Open Society Foundation and migrartion support 'charity International Rescue (ludicrously given the same name as an orgnisation in Thunderbirds, 1960s Sci Fi puppet show on UK childrens TV  have amassed a combined 33 private meetings and other confabs in less than two years, according to recently updated White House visitor logs.

However, few on the left-liberal spectrum ever criticized this interference, according to Italy’s leader.

“The problem is when wealthy people use their resources to finance parties, associations and political exponents all over the world to influence the political choices of nation states”, Meloni told reporters at an annual press conference.

“That’s not what Musk is doing,” she added.

“Elon Musk financed an election campaign in his country, by his candidate, in a system in which, by the way, I would point out that this is quite common,” Meloni said.

“But I am not aware of Elon Musk interfereing with democracy by financing parties, associations or political exponents around the world. This, for example, is what George Soros does.”

“And yes, I consider that to be dangerous interference in the affairs of nation states and in their sovereignty,” she noted.

Meloni also named other wealthy people actively funding parties and NGOs around the world to influence local policies.

"This is not the first time that famous and wealthy people have expressed their opinions. I have seen many such cases, often against me, and no one was offended then..."

Musk, she said, is a very rich man who expresses his opinion and does not pose a threat to democracy. 

“Is the problem that Elon Musk is influential and rich or that he is not left-wing?” asked Meloni.

She also noted that she and many others on the right are not financially dependent on Musk, unlike many on the left who are funded by Soros, or have been funded by him over the years.

Meloni denied ever taking any money from Musk, “unlike those who have taken it from Soros”.

In response to a journalist’s question, Meloni also spoke about Elon Musk’s open support for the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) stressing that if anyone tried to influence the Italian elections, it was Germany, under the then Social Democratic-Liberal-Green government.

“I would like to remind you of the German side’s interference in the Italian election campaign,” Meloni said, referring to previous German concerns about the right-wing, Eurosceptic position she represented.

Soros has long been a controversial figure due to his outsized role in the politics of nations around the world, however, few on the left-liberal spectrum ever criticized this interference.
