The War Racket And Who Is Making Money From It

 

War Is A Racket. Like most truisms nobody really knows who said it first but veteran US political maverick Ron Paul is being credited for resurrecting the phrase is one of his blistering denunciations of the current kerfuffle in Ukraine. 

Every war is a huge opportunity for the corporate businesses collectively known as the Military - Industrial Complex to make obscenely bloated profits from us long - suffering taxpayers as they first supply the weapons and explosives to destroy a nation and then the building materials and construction equipment needed to rebuild it.The war on Ukraine is no different, the USA and its NATO allies could end the conflict tomorrow by halting the supply of arms and ammo to Ukraine and demanding that Russia ceases hostilities pending a United Nations moderated peace deal, but the war is such a great a money-making racket for weapons manufacturers in the USA, UK and European Union and for politicians such a good way of diverting public attention from the mess they have made of the global economy, energy policy, food supplies, management of the 'pandemc' crisis and the obvious hoax that is climate change, nobody wants it to end. The elites are perfectly happy to keep allowing Ukrainian soldiers to die on the battlefield as long as more weapons contracts are funded by the governments of the world and public attention is focused on the war rather than the plethora of cock - ups that would otherwise be top of the news.

Raytheon and Lockheed Martin seem to be more than willing to keep pocketing profits, down to the last remaining Ukrainian soldier, even if the weapons being shipped to Ukraine and largely destroyed by Russia’s interdiction efforts. Racal electronics and Rolls Royce will keep supplying military technology for as long as someone is willing to pay. It's easy money.

Russia has abandoned its assault with tanks and infantry and is now focusing missile strikes on Ukraine’s railroad infrastructure in order to disrupt deliveries of weapons and ammo from western nations. This is actually smart because Ukraine’s railroads use a “wide gauge” rail width which is incompatible with most other European nations (Ukraine’s rail system was built by the former Soviet Union and uses the 5 ft width, which is common across the former Soviet republics). Importantly, this means that NATO cannot simply replace Ukraine’s locomotives and rolling stock because the wheel widths are incompatible.

This is why alt_media and even some mainstream media sites whose readers have had enough of the usual stream of Russophobic propaganda are reporting Ukraine troops are running out of ammo and other supplies, desperate for air cover which isn’t coming any time soon because supplying the neo - Nazi nutters in Kiev with military aircraft would be seen as an act of war against Russia by the nation that supplied them. And nobody wants to face the consequences.

Russia’s decisive victory in Ukraine is all but assured (in spite of daily mainstream media reports that Ukraine is winning,), and shipments of more artillery, tanks and drones from western nations won’t make a dent in the real situation on the ground. Besides, Ukraine is running out of soldiers too, while the clown Zelinsky claims billions of Russian soldiers have lost their lives while only a handful of Ukrainian troops have died, independent western reporters embedded in Ukraine say that while Russian losses have been heavy, Ukrainian casualties are far higher . 

No doubt Zelensky is close to surrendering, but the Biden regime, supported by UK, France and the United Nations is trying to prevent that from happening in order to try to make sure Ukraine’s bioweapons laboratories (and all their records) don’t fall into the hands of Putin.

Of course, the delusional woketards in the USA still think Russia is losing and their forces are in full retreat. Imagine their surprise when the entire map of Ukraine gets redrawn soon, as the country is partitioned with a new, Russian speaking nation being created east of the Dneiper and a land corridor from Russian teritory to Crimes taking away most of Ukraine's southern coast.  That’s going to be a wake-up call for the war worshippers who are hysterically calling on their governments to give Ukraine the weapons they need to escalate the war.

American / NATO Foreign Policy: We Make The Rules But They Don't Appy To Us

 

In a 2014 article titled ‘Why the Ukraine Crisis Is the West’s Fault’, written after the US /NATO / EU coup which ousted Ukraine's admittedly corrupt but democratically elected government and Russia's subsequent annexation of Crimea, Professor John Mearsheimer argued that the U.S. should “publicly rule out” NATO membership for Ukraine, and work towards making the country an economically prosperous, “neutral buffer” between Russia and NATO. Now he claims that had the US State Department and the leaders of iother NATO powers heeded his warning the conflict now engulfing Ukrain and threatening to escalate into a US versus Russia bust up could have been avoided.

Instead of heeding Mearsheimer’s warning however, the U.S. State Department and The Pentagon stepped up its its policy of ignoring Russia’s concerns and provoking confrontation with Moscow. NATO troops began military exercises in Ukraine in September of 2014. By June 2020, NATO had accepted Ukraine as an “Enhanced Opportunities Partner”.

And as late as November of 2021, with Russia already warning that there would be retaliation if the USA and its allies continued to encourage Ukrainian persecution of Russian - speaking minorities in their country by ratifying a “Charter on Strategic Partnership” with the far - right government in Kiev that had been put into power by the 2014 coup. That charter declared that the U.S. “supports Ukraine’s right to decide its own future foreign policy course free from outside interference, including with respect to Ukraine’s aspirations to join NATO”.

What we take away from the quoted passage is that the USA and its NATO allies care about the principle of national sovereignty. Ukraine’s post-Maidan government aspired to join NATO, and Russia shouldn’t get a veto over this, the charter implies. Whether Ukraine eventually joins NATO is a matter for Ukraine and NATO, not for Moscow.

It's a pity the USA and its allies did not show so much concern for Ukraine's right to determine its own furture when the democratically elected goverenment per 2014 decided Ukraine's interests were best served by establishing closer ties with Moscow and turning away from NATO, the EU and the west.

The US government reiterated its claimed concern for the right of nations to determine their own course: America’s supposed concerns about the principle of national sovereignty were outlined even more clearly in a speech Biden gave on 15th February, shortly before Russia’s invasion. He declared:

Nations have a right to sovereignty and territorial integrity. They have the freedom to set their own course and choose with whom they will associate.

Sounds pretty reasonable, doesn’t it? But there’s a more cynical reason why the U.S. chose to antagonize Russia, with the aim of “overextending and unbalancing” the Russian economy and armed forces.

The only problem with this overarching regard for preserving the sovereignty of smaller nations is the way in which the U.S.A. flagrantly ignores this principle when the sovereign rights of a smaller nation such as Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq or going back even further Vietnam, become an obstruction to the USA's geopolitical ambitions. The most recent example the the reaction of Washington to the new security agreement between China and the Solomon Islands. Here’s what the White House had to say:

If steps are taken to establish a de facto permanent military presence or a military installation, the delegation noted that the United States would then have significant concerns and respond accordingly.

In other words, the U.S. objects to China building military bases close to its ally, Australia, and if China does so, the U.S. will “respond accordingly” ragarless of the Solomon Islands' sovereign right to associate with whatever allies it wishes to.. Now, the US probably wouldn’t invade the Solomon Islands to prevent China building a military base there because they are aware of China's milirary capability (just as they have not directly intervened in Ukrain because that would invite retribution from Russia,), but it might decide to impose crushing sanctions or freeze Solomon Islands' assets held in western banks, with the aim of destroying the Solomon Islands’ economy.

Such sanctions would constitute a blatant violation of the Solomon Islands’ sovereign right to “set their own course and choose with whom they will associate”.

There are a few reasonable, and reasonably honest and consistent positions individuals, be they national leaders or ordinary punters like you, dear reader, and me can take in response to this situation.

1 One can be a pacifist and oppose all uses of force. But as Orwell noted: “Those who ‘abjure’ violence can only do so because others are committing violence on their behalf .” It would also require us to beble to resist the emotional blackmail of the propaganda campaign mounted by mainstream media to cast Russia as the evil bully unfairly oppressing helpless little Ukraine.

2 One can take the view that the use of force by states is merely a routine tool of foreign policy that is to be judged in each case on its merits. This would mean that after showing restraint in the face of almost daily provocations by Ukraine since 2014, Russia's response was to some extent justified even if we think it was excessive.

3 One can view the use of force as a last resort that should be regarded as unacceptable except in the case of extreme need, to be collectively approved in every case, or treated as illegal.

The UN order was largely  during the placed on hold during the Cold War, because the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction took precedence in all major decisions. But with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the emergence of the unipolar US dominance in the 1990s, there was a chance for it to be established. All that was required was for the sole hyperpower to show that it would agree to be bound by it.

Sadly, the U N was revealed to be the tool of a shadowy cabal of corporate and political players led by the neocons and liberal interventionists, and inent on establishing global government. US foreign policy was driven by those who declared “we don’t need your stinking rules based order, we make the rules”, and who took the view that such restrictions should only apply to others. Hence we had Serbia, Iraq, Libya, Syria.

What we are left with after all the virtue signalling and wishful thinking are filtered out is that Russia’s war is reasonably justifiable (although high risk), based on Russia’s need to secure its southern border against the long term encroachment of a demonstrably militarily aggressive and ideologically universalist military alliance.

Russia is justified in claiming it has tried every alternative, and been contemptuously rebuffed by a US sphere that thought Russia had no choice but to lie back and accept the NATO military boot stamping down on its face forever (to borrow a phrase from Orwell. Realists (and I admit to being one of them, thought Russia would not invade because it would lose in the long run, as a result of the costs of war, resistance and sanctions. Russophobes and Globalist hoped Russia would invade, because they thought that the U.S.A. and NATO would pile in on the side of Ukraine, defeat Russia and the global corporations that make up the Military Industrial Complex would get their hands on Russia's vast reserves of natural resources.

But Russia clearly made different calculations. Mostly in the economic sphere, where they obviously knew that the consequences would be economic warfare by the US sphere, which they have been forewarned of and had plenty of time to prepare for.

So far, on balance things look favourable for the Russians. In the pure military sphere, they can’t really lose, it’s just a matter of how long it takes to grind down the Ukrainian resistance which would have collapsed already were it not propped up by the supply of western high tech weaponry. In the far more important political and economic areas, it appears Russian support for the war is reasonably solid, there’s no chance of real dissent (helped by the rabid Russophobia displayed in the US sphere, and the destruction by sanctions of the major political centres of resistance to the regime’s power), and economically, with the help of allies like Iran, North Korea, Syria, Serbia and Turkey and two of the handful of nations too big to be bullied by Washington, China and India, they seem better equipped to weather the consequences of economic war than Europe.

Blame for the war rests on those who needlessly provoked it. The US sphere for pushing NATO membership gratuitously eastwards, imposing a rational limitation on NATO (the North ATLANTIC Treaty Organisation to those nations that actually have a coastline on the Atlantic ocean. The neo - Nazi fanatics in the Ukraine who are simply not prepared to live in peace with the Russians within their borders were empowered by the belief that they had NATO and EU backing and once Ukraine was accepted as a NATO member would be able to proke an attack by Russia that would trigger a military response from the full NATO membership and wipe out the hated enemy.

As so often, the pursuit of maximalist goals ends in disaster.

It has been pointed out that if a federal structure had been adopted for the post-Soviet construct that was the modern Ukrainian state, it might have survived. Too late now it seems, Ukraine is heading for partition.

Black Lives Matter blamed for 32% spike in murders of African-Americans in wake of George Floyd's killing - protests worsened crime spiral

 

The number of Afrcan Americans murdered in 2020 soared by 32 percent in the year after the killing and subsequent canonisation of St. George Floyd. One criminologist blamed BLM protests for the huge spike by scaring-off cops with their hate - mob tactics the law officers were scared to act against  black criminals. Ironically most of the murders of black Americans were committed by other black Americans.

It is bizarre but not entirely surprising to anyone who has researched the origins and political agenda of the Black Lives Matter movement that BLM leaders have nothing to say about this. Clearly as far as the anti - white racists take the view that Black Lives only matter when they are the lives of criminals trying to play the race card to avoid facing the legal consequences of their activities.

Killings across the whole of society swelled by 30 percent between 2019 and 2020, the largest increase since 1905, but blacks bore the greatest impact of that deadly trend, according to the FBI's Uniform Crime report.

In 2020, 9,941 African Americans met their death at the hand of another human being, compared to 7,484 the year before, an increase of 2,457 murders.

Murders of white people jumped 21 percent from 2019 to 2020, from 5,787 to 7,043. 

Sociologist Hannah Meyer, of the Manhattan Institute, says widespread 'defund the police messaging' further incited violence and criminality and affected the murder rate among black people.  

She believes that the widespread 'woke' ideology, which demonizes law enforcement and deifies minorities - combined with cuts in funding to many inner city police departments - prompted cops to withdraw from policing areas with high crime, thus allowing black activists to establish no - go zones for police and emergency services. 

Meyer also said that the Biden administration was wrong to place blame for the crime wave on the  COVID pandemic and attributed it directly to the crime wave that followed Floyd's death at the hands of his arresting officers. 

 In 2020, the year lockdowns and curtailment of civil liberties began, due to the hoax pandemic, 7,043 white people were murdered, but black deaths still outpaced white deaths by nearly 3000 that year.

With whites making up 76 percent of the U.S. population, according to the U.S. Census bureau, compared to the 13 percent black population, the trend is even more troubling, thought the greatest percentage increases occurreed in sparsely rural areas and were more likely to be the result of domestic conflict, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio and California murder rates all jumped at least 36 percent between 2019 and 2020. New York homicides jumped 47 percent with Chicago showing a similar spike. And these increases were from a much higher base figure. Despite the lower percentage rates of increase, the big cities saw far more lives lost to violent crime. We should not forget the most basic trick of propagandists: ten per cent of 1000 is 100, fifty percent of 100 is 50.

One of the organisers, van Meijeren tweeted: “There are a couple of influential globalists, who according to their own words, view the Corona crisis as a huge opportunity to “reset” our world.” 

Many of the thousands of protestors who took to the srteets of Amsertdam carried Dutch flags, yellow umbrellas, and red heart balloons. Forum MPs Pepijn van Houwelingen and Gideon van Meijeren addressed the crowd. Van Meijeren said that ‘although the corona measures have been suspended for a while, the ‘freedom fighters’ will not rest ‘until the Netherlands is a real democracy.’ He also referred to Easter, saying that, like Jesus, the protesters are standing up to an elite and fighting for the truth.

Van Meijeren has previously unmasked the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, as a Globalist. In what was called an epic confrontation, the Forum for Democracy Member of Parliament left Rutte humiliated after exposing his lies about the ‘Great Reset.’

MP Van Meijeren previously explained that,

More and more people are seeing that it is a big lie that the current Corona measures are meant to protect public health. This begs the question: why are all these awful measures being implemented that change our entire way of living, destroy our entire society?

The FvD is one of the few conservative parties in Europe that has exposed the globalist agenda hidden in authoritarian policies ostensibly introduced to deal with the pandemic and condemned left-wing and Conservative In Name Only governments (such as Boris Johnson's Cultural Marxist regime in UK,) and supranational organizations, such as the World Economic Forum and the United nations. 

Their planned and executed responses to Covid have been to increase their power and control. As Thierry Baudet, the leader of the FvD party, has previously explained, “Corona is the alibi, the pretext, the inducement to realize the new world order that has been prepared and desired for a long time.”

Many thousands of Germans also tok to the streets to protest against the two year old assault on their freedom, and against the influence wielded in global politics by unelected bodies such as the World Economic Forum, originators of The Great Reset agenda. The protestors demanded  that the government stop drawing out the Covid restrictions, which infringe upon their basic rights.

Moscow Warns US In Diplomatic Letter: Arming Ukraine To Result In "Unpredictable Consequences"

Russia sent a formal diplomatic note to the US this week calling on Washington and NATO to stop arming Ukraine. The note, which was obtained by The Washington Post, said the Western campaign to pour weapons into Ukraine was “adding fuel” to the conflict and could lead to “unpredictable consequences.”

The diplomatic note was sent Tuesday, when news broke of a new massive US military aid package for Ukraine. President Biden announced the new aid on Wednesday, which is worth $800 million and includes howitzers for the first time. The package also includes helicopters, armed Switchblade drones, coastal defense drones, armored vehicles, radar systems, and thousands of Stinger and Javelin missiles.

The Russian note was sent to the State Department by the Russian Embassy in Washington. It said the US and its NATO allies were ignoring “rigorous principles” on the transfer of weapons into the conflict zone and said the Western powers are oblivious to “the threat of high-precision weapons falling into the hands of radical nationalists, extremists and bandit forces in Ukraine.”

The Russians accused NATO of pressuring Ukraine to “abandon” peace talks with Moscow “in order to continue the bloodshed.” The US and most of its NATO allies have shown little interest in supporting the negotiations between the warring sides. ‘Must never happen again’ Lockdown’s destructive impact on children’s confidence laid bare

BORIS JOHNSON has been warned lockdown "must never happen again" because of its impact on children. 

A new Ofsted report suggests the Government’s response to Covid could have a lasting, negative impact on Britain’s young, who were forced to spend long stretches of some of their most important formative years in social isolation. Yet the Prime Minister has refused to rule out repeating his policy of locking the country down, insisting “there could be a new variant, more deadly” – one that “affects children badly, that we really need to contain”.

Daily Sceptic Editor-in-Chief Toby Young warned this was a mistake given the evidence points to lockdowns doing far more harm than good.

He told Express.co.uk: “Politicians and their scientific advisors placed the entire country under house arrest in March 2020 without giving any thought to the long-term impact on the economy, mental health or children's development. Now we're reaping the whirlwind.

“Lockdowns must never happen again.”

Arabella Skinner, from children’s campaign group UsForThem, added the Government’s approach, and its refusal to rule out further lockdowns, demonstrates “children have never been at the front of the discussion of what the risk is and what the value is”.

She said: “The problems we are seeing now are evidence of that.”

public health agencies such as the CDC and NIH, and television medical experts seem unable to address key health messages that could have a dramatic effect in reducing risk of severe sequelae in higher-risk populations such as the minority and African-American population to the scourge of SARS-CoV-2. 

These agencies and media echo chambers squandered many opportunities to inform the public on simple yet very effective messaging (vitamin D supplementation, obesity control, early treatment etc.) that could have reduced morbidity and saved lives. They continue to. Not just for Covid-19, but for many other illnesses.  

For example, obesity emerged as a potent super-loaded risk factor behind age in the harmful sequelae and a human target for SARS-CoV-2 in most studies, in addition to being elderly, frail and having comorbid conditions. Being younger with comorbid conditions also placed one at risk. 

We knew this data very early on, maybe one month post-March 2020 yet the CDC etc. failed to either read the data, understand the data, or act on the data. ur public health agencies such as the CDC and NIH, and television medical experts seem unable to address key health messages that could have a dramatic effect in reducing risk of severe sequelae in higher-risk populations such as the minority and African-American population to the scourge of SARS-CoV-2. These agencies and media echo chambers squandered many opportunities to inform the public on simple yet very effective messaging (vitamin D supplementation, obesity control, early treatment etc.) that could have reduced morbidity and saved lives. We knew this data very early on, maybe one month post-March 2020 yet the CDC etc. failed to either read the data, understand the data, or act on the data. MSNBC Doubles Down On Fascist Mission Statements: It's Our Job To Control How People Think... Not Elon Musk's

It has been amusing to observe this week how utterly incensed the 'woke',  leftie hate mobs at Twitter were when they heard that Elon Musk, currently the richest man in the world's bid to buy Twitter, but for people who don't see the funny side of it, an old comment from the ultra left American news channel MSNBC is an important reminder of just how the lefties in the media media and their  globalist billionaire psychopath overlords see their role in modern society.

As hours of coverage and an avalanche of op-eds are unleashed to explain to the masses why they should grab their pitchforks as Elon Musk offers to buy a social media platform at a significant premium for shareholders, this brief exchange between MSNBC presenters from 2017 perfectly summarizes exactly what is wrong with modern socirty.

On MSNBC's breakfast show 'Morning Joe', Mika Brzezinski, referring to President Trump said the following words in her out-loud voice...

"The dangerous edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts, and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsen, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think..."

And then the nail in the 'oops, I just told the truth coffin':

"...and that is our job."

To which the effervescent Joe Scarborough replies:

"Yeah".

And in case you thought that perhaps attitudes had changed in the intervening years and the propagandists at MSNBC had learned something from the hit their ratings have taken due to the utterly biased and distorted coverage on the COVID pandemic and decided gaslighting the public does not win them friends, viewers or advertising revenue, on Friday's 'Morning Joe', Brezinski repeated her delusional claim about the need to control information when raising alarm over how Musk's possible takeover of Twitter might affect the grip of the far left propaganda machine's grip on on social media and thus their ability to shape public opinion, calling a hypothetical Elon Musk takeover a "very dangerous precedent" for America.

"...are there any ways to stop him if he wants to buy Twitter? Are there any guardrails around something like this? Because this could be a very dangerous precedent,"

"He does not believe in the consequences of words," added Brezinki's guest, who had written earlier that "Elon Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter represents a chilling new threat: billionaire trolls taking over social media."

Somewhat bizarrely these people had nothing to say when Amazon founder and far left, 'woke' billionaire psychopaths Jeff Bezon took over The Washington Post, or when former world's richest man Bill Gates acquires controlling interests in numerous influential print and TV news companies. The problem for MSNBC is of course that while the 'woke' left are intent on controlling not only what people say but what they think, Elon Musk, whatever else we might think of him (and I'm not a fan,) is a determined defender of free speech, even if it means allowing people he disagrees with a platform on a site he owns. Other billionaire psychopaths, Twitter's founder Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Amazon's Jeff Bezos being the most notable examples as all have been driving forces in the hounding of conservative and libertarian voices from their platforms.
