Jingoistic Western Triumphalism Will Not End The War In Ukraine Or Cripple Putin, But It Is Crippling Western Nations

 

Headlines Like 'The West now has the chance to cripple Vladimir Putin for good' Are Not Helpful

As the war in Ukraine grinds on and Russia steps up its economic war against the west and in particular The European Union, claims made recently by the idiotically 'woke' leaders of Europe's main economic and military powers that the West has a once-in-a–generation chance to severely weaken Russia’s capabilities, both militarily and geopolitically, look increasingly hollow. Putin's critics have cited 'Western unity' as one of the main reasons why Russia will be economically destroyed and politically humiliated when the Ukraine's military finally claim victory.

There are three reason that identify this as wishful thinking.

First: leaders of western nations, in pursuit of their idiotic 'net zero' climate change goals, allowed much of northern Europe to become dependent on Russian gas for ther nation's energy needs. Now as these nations keep pushing the EU and NATO to offer more support, (in the form of military hardware,) to Ukraine there is little point in crying 'FOUL' as Russia reduces and threatens to cut off the gas supply. 

Second: Propaganda coming out of the USA, London, Paris and Brussels suggests the war has turned Russia into a pariah state, totally isolated in the international community. This is completely untrue. Not only are Russia's traditional allies, China, Iran and Syria still on good terms with the Russians, India, Brazil, Nigeria, Pakistan and Mexico (all nations with huge population numbers,) along with most African, South American and South East Asian nations still have good diplomatic and trading nations with The Kremlin. Next, we need a strategy for the Black Sea. Given that it is at the core of Russia’s power projection – used to threaten not just Ukraine but Moldova and Georgia – we have been paying surprisingly little attention. Russia’s naval posture has been severely restricted by the steps Turkey took to close the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles . straits to warships. This should remind us of the importance of our relationship with Ankara. To strengthen it would mean to maintain the interests of the free world in that strategically vital area. In time, Turkish cooperation could serve as an enormous disincentive for Russia to engage in any future conflicts in eastern Europe, since the Black Sea has always been a critical element of Russian military calculations in the region.

Third: the sanctions imposed by the west on Russia have backfired and are hitting the nations that imposed them harder than the intended target. The Russian economy is propsering and the Rouble has gained strength in currency markets, contradicting the predictions of economists and experts that it would lose almost all its value and the sanctions would bring Russia to its knees in weeks. Almost six months into the war some Western firms are returning to Russia and splits are emerging within the EU over proposals to impose an energy embargo on Russian oil and gas, although the point of this is hard to understands as Russia is already refusing to sell oil, gas and other essential raw materials to certain EU nations.

Meanwhile Putin is crippling the west economically, I'm not going to waste my time mentioning the fantastical reports from within Ukraine, too many contributors to mainstream media op - ed pages and  comment threads only want to read jingoistic demands for escalation of conflict, so having returned not long ago from shopping I'll just mention the local ASDA had not one bottle of Rapeseed, Sunflower or Corn oil on the shelves and none of those rather dubious substances labelled vegetable oil or cooking oil. My helper, whose job includes shopping for other people too, tells me Tesco and Iceland are in the same position. Flour and bread will be the next product line to be hit by shortages.

OK I'm fortunate enough to be able to pay £7.20 for a litre of Extra Virgin Olive Oil but not everyone can, as I know from people involved with the local food bank.

It's easy to indulge in triumphalism about how we are 'crippling Putin,' (we're not BTW - as the world map above shows, counties containing 85% of the global population are not sanctioning Russia and are trading as normal,) but should we not spare a thought for the families and individuals in UK, Europe and America this war is crippling.

The West has crippled itself trying to cripple Russia when all they had to agree 8 months ago was that the Ukraine would not become a member of NATO. China just has to sit back and wait for its two competitors for world power to kill each other off. The US, UK and the EU are no longer open, resilient or even cohesive societies following the social disruption caused by wokeism, the loss of free speech and the free media, and the economic and authoritarian debacles of the COVID and climate 'emergencies' campaigns. These campaigns, fully supported by Western leaders, makes me wonder what and who they are working for.

And finally it is noticeable that amongst all this propaganda about how Ukraine is winning the war, pushing back the incompetent Russian army and giving those nasty bullies in The Kremlin a jolly good thrashing, (punctuated by news occasionally that yet another Ukrainian city or stronghold as fallen,) there is no mention of the elephant in the room.

That The West is going into The Chinese Century with the single most important country outside the US having been driven into the arms of the Chinese. Once again, the trigger happy loons in Washington - who launched this mad war in 2014 - have driven the west off a cliff with another disastrous adventure, following on from Iraq/Afghanistan/Libya/Syria.

Now The West is poorer and weaker, and the Chinese richer and and stronger.

It is the biggest geopolitical own goal of the century. 

The US / NATO aim to weaken Russia is not "new". In 2014, it's State Department (Victoria Nuland) is on record plotting to depose the elected Ukrainian president to support that objective. America and its allies have walked right into this mess with eyes wide open and no amount of misinformation about Russian weakness, Ukrainian bravery and western solidarity behind President Biden, whose dementia seems to have infected all the members of his White House team, is going to get us out. Instead of demonising Putin we need to start negotiating with him and his team.

Massive Coral Growth on Australia's the Great Barrier Reef Discredits Predictions of Climate Change Doom Merchants

 

Record levels of annual growth of coral on Australia's the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) continues to astound scientists who had prdicted for decades that the dying of the world's largest coral reef would trigger an environmental disaster in the Pacific Ocean. Major increases recorded across large areas of the reef, reported in the 2021-22 annual summary from the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS), show levels of coral cover in the northern and central areas of the reef were at their highest levels over the past 36 years of monitoring.

The growth ought to have environmentalists jumping for joy, but rather bizarrely is being downplayed by governments and United Nations environment agencies with hardly any mention of this phenomenon in the mainstream media. The decline and death of the world’s coral reefs is a long - time standby scare story for Net Zero promoters. As late as October 2020, the BBC  was telling stories about the Reef losing half of its coral. The Guardian was one of the first to set the coral doomsday ball rolling when George Monbiot told its readers in 1999 that the “imminent total destruction of the world’s coral reefs is not a scare story”. Noting the recent record growth, the newspaper added that “global heating could jeopardise recovery”. They never give up do they?

This notion that global warming will cause corals to die is just one of the many big lies used by pseudo - scientists to prop up their Climate Change scare and keep the research grant money rolling in . Tropical coral, a close cousin of the jellyfish, thrives in waters between 24°C and 32°C. It is highly adaptable but dislike sudden changes in temperature, which are usually caused by natural weather oscillations such as El Niño events, but not by the kind of gradual change that would be caused by increased atmospheric Carbon Dioxide levels, were there any recent increases in global mean temperature to cause them. 

Research carried out by the Austrialian Insitute of Marine Science (AIMS) shows coral quickly recovers when normal localised conditions return. In fact, coral often grows faster in warmer waters nearer the equator than the GBR. The big agitprop lie suggests minor long-term sea temperatures changes will wipe out the coral, but the scientific evidence suggests otherwise.

As usual the sciencetits called us 'conspiracy theorists' when we said the dying of coral was only happening in mathematical models of coral and was a scam. Turns out the conspiracy theorists were telling the truth again.

But while you were distracted by Boris Johnson’s resignation and the battle to become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the UK Government quietly published a report that proves the mass Covid-19 vaccination campaign has been an epic and dangerous failure.

Because official figures show that the fully vaccinated population have accounted for over 9 in every 10 Covid-19 deaths over the past year, 91% of all Covid-19 deaths since the beginning of 2022, and 94% of all Covid-19 deaths since the beginning of April 2022.

 

 

7th July 2022 is a date that will go down in history for all the wrong reasons. It should have been the date that the mainstream media told the public the truth about the failure and danger of the Covid-19 injections. But instead, it will be remembered as the date Boris Johnson announced to the public he was resigning as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Boris Johnson’s announcement conveniently drowned out any noise that was being made about an official report the UK Government had published literally hours earlier. A report that proves things have been terrible for the vaccinated population in England since the very start of the Covid-19 vaccine roll-out.

New Figures Show Brexit Has Failed To Take Back Control Of Immigration

 Just over six years ago, in the few weeks before the June 23 referendum day, although few were mentioning it openly the nation's attention was focused on immigration, and particularly the 'Brexit' campaign's promise to 'Take Back Control' of our borders. Today the immigration issue is as predominant in many people's minds, and even more unmentionable in polite company, as news this morning revealed that record numbers of migrants entered the country last year, while yesterday a record number of people were trying to make the hazardous crossing from France in small boats to enter the country illegally.

 From the application of human rights laws to the analysis of statistics, immigration can be a complex subject, and the public debate about it can be  deeply dishonest and has been for much longer than the six years since the referendum result was announced. But most of us ought to be able to agree some common-sense principles.

From bridging skill shortages and boosting business enterprise to adding to the cultural capital of the country, immigration can bring great benefits, but in the kind of numbers we have seen over the past 20 years numbers it can also cause social upheaval and civil unrest and so must be controlled. 

Control of the inflow of migrants, particularly those of low intelligence, with little education and no knowledge of the English language, needs well defined, easily enforcable laws, and a professional and hughly efficient border security officers. Decisions should not be made in the interests of foreign nationals, immigration lawyers or supranational organisations, but the British people, the nation as a whole. And the decision-makers themselves must be politicians, directly accountable to those who elect them and not lawyers, judges or unelected bureaucrats.

We have not yet seen meaningful post-Brexit immigration statistics but it is known We The People will not like them. In 2020, thanks to the pandemic, net migration fell by 88 per cent to just 34,000. In 2019, net migration was 271,000 – high, but not unusual for the past couple of decades, when the number exceeded 300,000 in several years. We can already see from the number of visas issued that immigration is about to soar again, probably to new record highs.

Comparing 2021 to 2019, from the available statistics work visas (239,987) are up 25 per cent, family visas (280,776) are up 49 per cent, and student visas (432,279) are up 52 per cent. More than a quarter of foreign students are Chinese, but the number of Nigerian students is up 415 per cent, Pakistani up 256 per cent and Indian up 164 per cent.

This exponential increase in immigrant numbere is not happening by chance. Even as the Government ended European free-movement rules after Brexit – a decision driven, pollsters agree, by concerns about sovereignty, democratic control and immigration – Boris Johnson, the neo Marxist leader of a nominally Conservative demanded a more liberal policy.

Limits on numbers of work permits to be issued were removed and the definition of “skilled work” was watered down. The shortage-occupation list was extended to allow the recruitment of foreign workers in yet more trades (including, presumably, sandwich stuffing and office cleaning.) Employers were no longer compelled to seek workers from the resident population before recruiting overseas labour. A salary threshold, supposedly set to ensure only high-skilled immigration, was set at £25,600 and for some workers only £20,400. Foreign students – whatever their qualification – were given the right to stay and work in Britain at the end of their courses. If Brexit hasd been about 'taking back control' then it had failed.

There's always a ponzi scheme behind large scale immigration that is self-defeating in the long run. It is notable that for all the proclaimed benefits of immigration, the influx over the past two and a half decades has not led to increased productivity or national prosperity, and any wealth generated always ends up in the hands of the same small handful of people rather than being distributed across society. If anything, the competition for resources has clearly made life more difficult for large swathes of British society (housing, access to social goods). Whenever someone talks about how immigration stimulates economic growth, I rebut with what we can call the Pret a Manger theory based on my observations since 1997:

Pret opens a new shop and staffs it with low wage immigrants fresh off the plane from abroad. The new workers use some of their wages to buy, among other things, food at Pret. Pret sees their revenues rise, and justifies opening more stores, and hires more low-wage workers from overseas. See the pattern? In theory the economy is expanding, but what does it mean for existing populations? The owners of Pret get richer, but existing populations have to deal with more competition for scarce housing or crowding more housing in existing areas, more people and more cars on the roads, demand for buses and public transport increases, leading to more need for even more infrastructure, which in turn needs to be funded. And same with NIH resources and capacity.

Is 2022 Britain "better off" than 1997 then? No, not really. Strip away the modern technologies and iPhones, it probably is worse off because it's even more expensive and more crowded.

I do know that prior to 1997 immigration to the UK was tightly regulated and tightly controlled. It was actually quite difficult and lengthy, which is why the numbers are so low. And it was because immigration was one of the few shared consensus between pre 1997 Labour and Tory, both parties mutually, unofficially, agreed on keeping it tightly controlled between the late 1960s and 1997. It really was Tony Blair and his New Labour who completely changed it. When people say it's impossible to control immigration, I always ask why, because it was very strictly controlled in the past and well within living memory. Even without national borders, how hard is it to severely fine and penalize those who employ illegal immigrants and severely restrict access to social services for people without any documented registration to be in the UK? That alone would achieve a great deal. 

But remember next time you have the opportunity to vote, while Labour and Conservatives blame each other for all the nations ills, since 1992 both have followed broadly the same globalist policies. Both are to blame. It is time for us voters to forget that old lie, "Better the devil you know," and find an alternative to vote for. Because while we continue to put 'the devil we know' in power, nothing will change for the better.

 A report last week that a major UK retailer, The Co - Operative Society (Co - OP) was planning to install in - store surveillance systems with facial recognition capabilities, supposedly to reduce shoplifting by repeat offenders, caused quite a stir in the media and the privacy protection community. Normally this blog is all over such stories, but in this case with two retired techies on the team we decided to await developments because Ian and Xavier boith know how inefficient and easily evaded such technologies are.

However rivacy right campaign group Big Brother Watch have not reacted with similar sang froid. BBW have denounced the scheme which would capture and store biometric scans of “thousands of shoppers” is “unlawful” and “Orwellian in the extreme.”

The privacy rights group issued a statement last Tuesday announcing they had filed a legal complaint with the Information Commissioner alleging that Southern Co-operative’s use of live facial recognition cameras in its supermarkets is “unlawful”. The legal filing, sent via the group’s lawyers from data rights firm AWO, claims that the use of the biometric cameras “is infringing the data rights of a significant number of UK citizens and subjects”.

Southern Co-operative supermarkets have been using facial recognition software with surveillance cameras from Chinese state-owned firm Hikvision in trials. Hikvision also provides cameras for the Chinese Communist Party’s concentration camps in Xinjiang where critics and civil rights campaigners have associated the technology with serious security flaws. The firm is banned from operating in the US and a group of senior parliamentarians recently urged the Government to ban the cameras from the UK.

Big Brother Watch is a UK civil liberties campaign group fighting for a free future. “We’re determined to reclaim our privacy and defend freedoms at this time of enormous technological change. And we fight to win,” their website states.

Ethical Consumer reported in January 2021, that the controversial surveillance technology was being trialled in selected Southern Co-operative stores since mid-2019 despite the use of facial recognition by police forces being deemed controversial with the Court of Appeal ruling parts of its use to be unlawful in August 2020. Nonetheless advocated of facial recognition, backed by some of the biggest Silicon Valley tech conglomerates have been lobbying extensively for its introduction on a broad scale. Use of facial recognition has been creeping into the private sector and the true scale of its  current deployment remains unknown.

While shops with facial-recognition softwate running on the computers their cameras a linked to must  display signs informing customers of their operation, no general public announcement was made before the Co - Op groups trials started. the issue was only brought to light following the publication of a case study on the website of Facewatch, a specialist provider of facial recognition systems and surveillance.

As early as 2020 leaks about the rollout left privacy advocates questioning whether the shops could fully justify the use of the technology under data protection laws. They also worried about creeping surveillance and the ability of police forces to access private systems.

UK Households Are Paying Wind Turbine Owners To Not Generate Electricity

 On another near windless day here in the United Kingdom, Boggart Blog came across a very interesting piece if news. According to figures published by the business and management consultancy LCP, british taxpayers have been paying operators of wind turbines farms for the time their windmills were NOT generating electricity increased to record levels last year as the UK’s cable network and storage capacity struggled to keep up with the amount of electricity generated at times of optimum wind conditions.

Bill-payers were forced to shell out £650m last year (2021) alone to cover the costs of switching off turbines when it is too windy for either the national grid or the turbines themselves to handle and bringing online natural gas powers generators instead. 

It is a 70pc jump on the previous year, according to LCP, the organisation which calculated the figures. And this does not include subsidies paid to wind farm operators as compentation for the appromimately 25% of the time the wind is not blowing strongly enough to turn the tubines.

Turbines are turned down or off completely if they are generating more electricity than than the electricity grid can carry at the time. It should be noted that as wind is an unpredictable resource, wind speeds can vary enormously in a short time. The figures, and what they reveal about wind power, highlight the complications of managing the electricity grid at a time varied sources of energy including intermittent and unreliable sources like wind and solar power.  

This appalling waste of taxpayers money is blamed on the fact that the UK's limited storage capacity throttles wind power as energy bills surge, which is bollocks. 

The question that should be asked is: "What storage capacity?" As things stand there is no technology capable of storing excess energy that is capable of powering a large city (or even a small to middling town,) for a significant time.

Elon Musk's idea for vast arrays of Lithium Ion batteries to power cities proved way too costly when trialled in Australia (and that was before the price of battery quality refined lithium rocketed to approx $75,000 a ton,) while pumped storage such as the Dinorwyg scheme in Wales in which surplus energy is used to pump water to a high level reservoir at low demand times to be released through a hydro electric generator system at peak times only showed that it takes a lot more energy to get the water to the top of the mountain that is generated from letting it run down again.

The only other idea I've heard of is vehicle to grid (V2G) storage in which people charge up their electric cars overnight and discharge them into the grid during peak demand hours. Which is fine until owners want to drive their electric cars.

None of it inspires confidence really. 

The other point the LCP report does not address is what happens when wind turbines are not genreating because the wind is not strong enough or too strong. The range of wind speeds within which these over - hyped contraptions can generate current is surprisingly narrow, between around 8 mph and 23 mph. There are 4 large wind farms within 10 miles of my home, and another 2 in are planning/ in development. They do not work in storm/still air conditions, meaning in the period April2021/April2022, there were 83 days when they were not producing energy, although of course, we paid for 365 days. All we can learn from this is the people in government and the academic community pushing the 'net zero' agenda know nothing at all about electrical engineering and even less about running a solvent business.

The LCP report comes as household energy bills which have soared in the past year  are spiralling higher every day due to the mismanagement of energy policy over the past twenty years by governments in the developed nations with the recent spike also, but not entirely because of sanctions imposed on Russia in the wake of its Ukrainian invasion. These have been the main factors in triggering the highest price inflation and worst cost of living squeeze in a generation, and driving many families into fuel poverty.

The UK Government is making a big deal of introducing a windfall tax on oil and gas producers to help ease the pressure on households, and is considering extending this to electricity generators but that is going to take time to filter down while the needs of families are immediate.

 Nor should you assume the people who compiled the LCP report have any solutions or even understand the problem. Chris Matson, an energy industy expert with LCP, said growing wind power was essential for climate targets and energy security. In fact the obsession with wind power, far friom being the answer is at the root of the problem.

Matson added: “And yet because investment in the infrastructure needed to support this expansion [in wind power] has not kept pace, wind curtailment is costing the consumer and the environment. Every pound spent on curtailing wind power is a pound wasted.” 

Wind curtailment means that in optimum generating conditions (see above) wind turbines have to be decoupled from the grid because too much current is going in. There is currently no way to balance the output from wind turbines, when there is suitable wind they generate, when there is no wind, or too much wind, or the wind conditions are unstable (gusty) and the turbines are producing no electricity the surpluss from more productive times cannot be stored efficiently so gas fired turbines have to be brought online. The figure of £78 mn in constraint payments quoted by LCP is a gross understating of the true position and is what happens when you believe a report from a part of an industry that is a report on that industry.

Over the last 10 years the wind industry has received over £1bn and in 2020 Scottish onshore wind alone it received £243 mn and in 2021 £107 mn when there was a weak wind system most of the year.

Without massive subsidies which are added to our bills, no wind turbine would ever be built, they are just not economically viable.

The report LCP's figures are quoted in was commissioned by FTSE 250 power company Drax, which is seeking Government investment to extend its  pumped storage hydropower scheme in northern Scotland which it claims will act as a giant battery to store electricity. 

LCP said long duration storage such as Drax’s hydropower project was a “particularly attractive” way of dealing with the current problems, but stressed that such measures “would not necessarily mean that all of the cost of curtailment can be avoided”.

Were the report being entirely honest it would acknowledge the failure of previous attempts to store energy by pumping water to a high level reservoir using surplus power and releasing it through hydroelectric turbines when there is a shortfall.

Britain’s wind power industry has grown rapidly over the last decade, with 25.7GW installed capacity now compared to about 5.4GW in 2010, enough to provide power for about twenty million homes.

Much of this is located in Scotland owing to its weather as well as available space both on land and around the coast. However, the cables that transport electricity around the country can only handle so much at a time, meaning that wind farms are paid to cut output when needed. 

These costs, in addition to those that ensure electricity supply and demand is matched every day, are met by National Grid but ultimately recouped via a levy on consumer bills. 

“In many instances [..] wind generation must be turned down in certain locations and high-carbon gas must be turned up in other locations,” it said.

LCP estimates that Scottish wind power accounted for 94pc of the total amount of wind generation curtailed in 2020 and 80pc in 2021. 

Many more wind turbines are set to be built in Scottish waters following a recent leasing round. The Government wants to increase offshore wind capacity five-fold to 50GW by 2030. But we wil still have to keep gas, coal and nuclear power stations running for those times when the wind suddenly stops blowing.

I suspect that this government is taking us down the road to “third world electrical power status” whereby the nation will have to learn and plan for unexpected and often lengthy power cuts. Personally I rather relaxed at the prospect as I have solar panels with backup batteries and a diesel generator. However, my great concern is for the vast majority who have neither the space or funds to finance a “Plan B”!

In other words we need to double capital investment (1) in wind, and (2) gas turbines. In the old days, we only spent the money once

    The 'Worlds Biggest Liquid Air Battery' would have to be replicated 533 times to supply present day household use for just 24 hours with nary a heat pump or EV in sight yet. Remember that is without a factory, office, hospital, streetlight or anything outside of a house or flat turned on. When the whirlygigs go on strike again putting out just 2 or 3% of their claimed output for days at a time nothing will cover it except gas fired plants (or even coal) necessitating an entire back up generating system in reserve at vast cost which will then have to be used to recharge the batteries (of any ilk).

    Should every household have a heat pump at a conservative 3Kw consumption that would entail a load of some 66Gw which is the equivalent of the output of 22 Hinkley Point Cs at point of generation. When temperatures plummet to minus 5 or 6 and back up heaters compensate the poor output of said heat pumps double that to 44 HPCs. This is clearly impossible; after all how long has it taken and how much has it cost not to build one.

    Then for every home to add an additional 3Kw load which will be turned on at the same time every substation and supply cable in the land will have to be upgraded at vast expense.

    You think electricity bills are high now.......you haven't seen anything yet. But at the end of the day it won't do anything 'to save the planet' as China and India etc. forge ahead doing what they want...... displacing the west as they go along.

 THE SCI FI VIEW

• What the article does not say is that the National Grid (NG) ESO (electricity system operator) is in the middle of a project that will complete by 2025. When it is finished, there will be no need for any active gas plants on the system at all whenever wind, solar, nuclear and other fuels are generating enough to meet demand. This will happen more and more frequently as 4x the offshore wind is installed.

  Currently the grid needs a minimum gas generation active to provide stability services (inertia, frequency stabilisation at various timescales, short circuit current, reactive power). The NG ESO will kick wind off to make room for this minimum gas level.

  The NG ESO has implemented some of the initial contracts to provide these services by other means. Some examples:-

  - Dogger Bank C offshore wind farm onshore equipment will provide reactive power from 2024, whether generating or not.

  - The Cruachan pumped hydro scheme will run one turbine in air to provide inertia and short circuit current when not generating. It provides these services anyway when it is generating.

  - Some gas plans will have clutches fitted so that the fixed connection between the turbines and generators is broken. When not generating, the generator is run up to speed using mains power, then provides stability services - when working in this mode is it known as a "synchronous condenser". Coal plant generators can be converted to synchronous condensers.

  The NG ESO will only have to kick wind power off the grid when there really is too much of it - not just to make way for gas to provide stability services. Surplus wind power can then be exported via interconnectors. There will also be grid batteries to soak it up, and some of it will be used for green hydrogen production. edited

  Excellent and enlightening comment. Twenty years ago I worked in the industry that manufactures wind turbine blades. Despite this I was of the opinion that because of the intermittent nature of generation, huge pump storage schemes would be needed to compliment them. Politicians who spoke of "XXX Mw of generation CAPACITY" would annoy me. Looks like we have made some leaps forward with much more to come. Thanks Peter.

This has to be paid for and thus when needed the owners need to recoup their costs so the prices will be understandably exorbitant. Batteries are nowhere near capable of supplying large amounts of power over long periods of time and will run down and there will be no power available to charge them.
