UKIP Call to ‘Defend Free Speech’ Against ‘Globalist Elite’ After Social Media Purges

We reported last week that Britain's most undemocratic and authoritarian Prime minister to date, Theresa May, was planning to set up a committee of MPs and government officials to monitor and advise on shutting down 'fake news' internet sites. They would use a definition of fake news that embraced satire, parody and comedy.

The UK Independence Party (UKIP), currently enjoying a resurgence in polls as support for both government and officials weakens, has urged UK citizens to defend free speech in the West after big tech firms are rumoured to have collaborated with governments to remove non - conformist websites, including InfoWars and Tommy Robinson, from social media.

On Monday, Apple, Facebook, Pinterest, Spotify, and Google-owned YouTube removed content from InfoWars and its owner Alex Jones, saying he and the website violated their policies against hate speech and harassment.

Supporters of the ban say Mr Jones is a conspiracy theorist (he is,) who deserves to be silenced (he doesn't), while critics have claimed the purge is an attempt to interfere in the U.S. midterm elections and described it as a form of “political censorship”. It is a move that is likely to backfire as Trump is gaining in popularity ahead of the US mid term elections in November and the 2016 experients shows his supporters are far less likely to reveal their voting intentions than the virtue signalling democrats.

On Tuesday anti - Islamification activist Tommy Robinson was expunged from Facebook's Instagram platform. He has already been banned from Twitter but still has an un-verified Facebook page with approaching a million followers, which he fears will be next.

In a statement, UKIP said: “These are private companies but the politically correct establishment is acting through corporations hand in glove to snuff out anything the globalist elite do not like.

“Free speech is under threat in the West, and we must stand firm in defence of it, otherwise, all dissenting voices will be muzzled.”

UKIP itself, which has won the last European Parliament election in Britain and remains the nation’s most significant party in that assembly, has also been the target of censorship by big tech firms, while those same firms are happy to promote propaganda they know to be blatantly untrue.

The party’s leader and Gerard Batten MEP and one of its representatives in the London Assembly were “shadow banned” on Twitter last month, making it hard for most users to see their messages and severely restricting their reach on the platform.

The news that Turkey is seeking to join the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) economic union must concern economists and politocians in the USA. UK and European Union as welol as defence chiefs in the NATO nations. The Daily Stirrer has reported at length on the currency war being waged by Russia, China and Iran on the status of the US$ as global reserve currency and this move, without having been orchestrated by Russia or China will greatly assist their cause.

“The economy of Turkey is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, despite the political events of the recent years and its geographical proximity to hot spots in the Middle East,” analyst Vladimir Rojankovski of the International Financial Center said.

“Turkey is a secular state with a predominantly Muslim population, it stands out favorably against other religious Islamic monarchies and theocratic doctatorships in the region. Turkey's accession to the BRICS bloc with the Russia-China vector is a serious setback for Europe and the United States,” the analyst added.

In terms of GDP, Turkey ranks 17th in the world. In terms of GDP, adjusted for PPP (purchasing power parity of citizens), it is 13th. This means that from the economic point of view Turkey is on par with all BRICS countries and is well ahead of South Africa.

Turkey’s desire to join BRICS was announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday. “We are in the G20 with five of those countries. I wish they would take the necessary steps to let us in and we could take our place in BRICS,” Erdogan told Turkish newspaper Hurriyet at the BRICS Forum in South Africa.

US analysts claim that Erdogan’s highly successful meeting with Putin in St. Petersburg could be the beginning of Turkey leaving NATO to join the BRICS. However the first indication such a shift was likely came out of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s highly successful meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg earlier this year.

Does this mean Erdogan is in the process of disrupting Turkey’s longstanding relations with the West, and the United States in particular, to throw his lot in with the BRICS? We know that Trurkish officials feel betrayed by NATO over the Syrian conflict, and that they were badly treated by the EU which twice held open a door for Turkey to join only to slam it in the Turk's face.

Gossip circulating that the BRICS meeting suggest variety of deals in the energy, tourism, trade, finance, investment and defense spheres are to be negotiated.” If these succeed it could smooth the way for Turkey's admission to the bloc.

The St. Petersburg talks and Erdogan's attendance at th BRICS convention are likely to mark a pivotal moment in Turkey disengaging from the EU, the United States and NATO and reasserting its identity as a non-Western nation. As far as US interests in preserving the dominance of the petrodollar, this is very worst development possible and will trigger a major disruption in US relations in the Middle East and beyond.

Illegal Immigrants In Paris No-Go Zone Suburbs Passes 400,000 Mark

A report from two members of the French National Assembly claims could be up to 400,000 illegal immigrants living in Seine-Saint-Denis department. According to their figures between eight and 20 percent of the population of Paris’s troubled northern suburbs may be constituted by illegal immigants and that many live on the streets because of the strain put on social services by the magnitude of the influx, Le Figaro reports.

The department, consisting of three northern suburbs, Saint Denis, Hauts de Seine and Val de Marne suffer the highest poverty rate in the Paris conurbation at 28 percent and an unemployment rate three percentage points higher than the city to the south.

The report was authored by representatives from different parties, Rodrigue Koukouendo, a member of President Emmanuel Macron’s Le Republique En Marche (LREM) party and François Cornut-Gentille of the conservative Republicans, with both authors emphasising that social services and police in the area were struggling to cope with the huge numbers of illegals.

The two MPs suggested a reform of the way the government collects statistical data to help government departments understand the problem they are dealing with, writing: “To identify urban phenomena of ghettoisation, to explain educational difficulties, to combat discrimination and to adapt the resources of the police and the judiciary to a specific population, the question of establishing so-called ethnic statistics is raised.”

The report's conclusions can only point to more trouble in store for the boy Macron who is already suffering record negative ratings after statking is presidency on his ability to sell French voters the ideas that part of the solution to the immigrant problem is to increase immigration levels and abolish border controls.

Europe is struggling to tackle the mass immigration crisis, which was triggered by Brussels' imposition of an open doors system what ordered member states to welcome all comers. common EU asylum policy. The authoritarian bureaucrats rammed the policy down the throats of member states with the collaboration of France and Germany.

With Germany's Angela Merkel facing the collapse of her government because of her stubborn refusal to heed the will of the people, France is now the only significant EU nation whose leaders clings to the 'open doors' ideal. but even he is facing opposition, not just from other French political groupings but from within his own party.  As a result France's former future messiah, the boy Macron, is at logerheads with the entire community.

Mr Dupont-Aignan, the head of the nationalist Debout La France (Stand up France), warned the migrant crisis row threatens to end free movement in the EU.

He said: “What’s interesting about the current situation is that, beyond the controversies, recent events spell the end of Schengen. That’s it, it’s over.”

The Schengen agreement enables passport-free travel in much of the EU, but is heavily criticised by eurosceptics, who say that free movement rules and the bloc’s porous borders have exacerbated the EU’s illegal immigration problem.

Mr Macron is “pitting France against the rest of Europe” to defend a “system which is already dead,” Mr Dupont-Aignan said as he continued to tear apart the Schengen accord.

Dupont - Aignan is correct, in fact the Shengen zone was implemented to facilitate free movement across national borders for EU citizens. It was never intended to allow the whole world to wander around Europe as they pleased.

It was Germany and France (the usual suspects) that bullied other nations into letting immigrants from the third world enter Europe with no proof of identity, accepting without question ridiculous requests for refugee or asylum seeker status. Now the Germans and French are trying to offload responsibility for the consequences of their politically correct stupidity on the rest of the EU member states.

This has been a terrible week for the renewable energy business.

Across the world solar energy share prices have crashed. This was caused by a sudden and unexpected decision by China, the world’s biggest solar manufacturer and user, to rein in subsidies.

According to Caixin Global:

China has abruptly put the brakes on solar power subsidies, seeking to stem overcapacity in a sector that has benefited for years from government incentives.

The move caught many in the industry off guard.

The government won’t grant subsidies to any new ordinary solar projects this year. For those that are being built, the incentives will be cut by 0.05 yuan (0.8 U.S. cents) per kilowatt-hour (kWh).

Solar stocks have fallen across the board by double digits. It’s uncertain when they will .

It hasn’t been a good week for wind energy either. In Britain, the industry has become a national joke because for seven days its wind turbines stood still and produced no electricity. No problem for the renewables industry troughers who still get their subsidies from government whether the wind blows or not. But definitely unfortunate PR for an industry which would prefer everyone not to notice one of wind energy’s main problems: it’s intermittent – which means that a) it’s not always there when you need it and so b) it requires constant back up from more reliable fossil fuel on standby.

The joke is made all the better when we remember the song and dace last year when on one day, and by means of the most outrageoust distortion of the facts, greenies claimed more than half our energy came from 'green' sources (which includes nuclear BTW, in any other circumstances as much a hate object for greenies as coal and oil.

We shouldn’t laugh, it's cruel to mock the afflicted. On the other hand we have to laugh, ridicule is the best wat to stop guys like this from getting away with their outrageous lies and misrepresentations.

Nuclear power - including existing plants - needs to be remunerated for the zero-carbon power it produces. That must be kept separate from pork-barrel subsidies to dying coal plants. And nuclear lobbyists, please understand: you need to make friends with renewables.

Liebreich – founder of Bloomberg New Energy Finance – has done extremely well out of the climate change scare industry. That’s why he can afford to jet freely around the world (not first class, he insists in a subsequent tweet: just economy to Dublin to catch Gorillaz on Skype.)

So he is revealed as virtue-signalling hypocrite, happy to lecture the rest of us about the need to sit shivering in our cold, dark houses and go everywhere by bike, while his environmental purity does not dissuade him from hopping on a plane from London to Dulin ("not first class," he tells us, as if it makes a difference to the fuel burned. Simultaneously with his stacking up the air miles and extending his carbon footprint like an Al Gore-style boss he is railing about plastic pollution, the fashionable environmentalist cause of the week, by complaining about artificial plants in the airport departure lounge.

The global warming industry – the Climate Industrial Complex as some are starting to call it – has been estimated as being worth an annual $1.5 trillion, but that was three years ago and like john Steinbeck's monster and all others of the same genus, it has to grow or else it dies.

Like a lot of renewables advocates, Liebreich has grown rich on taxpayers money from his support for environment scams, making more money than had he been a skeptical scientist carrying out independent research based on real world evidence and not results from mathematical models fed 'adjusted data,' or a journalist writing about what a huge con the global warming industry is.

Liebreich gives the game away in a piece published recently about the way forward for global energy industry. He addresses the bogus dilemma that he claims oil companies face: do they abandon fossil fuel early and move into renewables; or do they extract the last remaining value they can?

This is pure green propaganda masquerading as dispassionate business advice. A business advice it is pure bollocks. Most Big Oil company CEOs now, wearing their best shit - eating grins, pay lip service to the Church of Scienceology dogma of wind and mirrors and apologise for the pure evil of their sticky black gold. Behind the masks of course they are happily aware of the reality that renewables still provide a tiny percentage of global energy consumption and that even by 2040 – if you believe BP’s highly suspect projections, : fossil fuels are still going to provide well over half global energy consumption.

Here is the key passage in which Liebreich gives the game away, admitting that sustainables do not provide a realistic alternative to fossil fuels :

There is no inherent dishonor or immorality in pursuing a Sunset Ride. Even the most ardent climate activist is going to be a user of fossil fuels and petrochemical products for many more decades, and no one with integrity can demonize products whose demand they themselves drive. Dishonor and immorality lie only in attempts to obfuscate or delay the global transition to clean energy and transport, either through lobbying and misinformation or through a failure to strive for the highest standards within one’s own operations. Oil and gas companies need to lead on eliminating fugitive emissions and flaring, and to act with transparency and honor around the world.

In that “dishonour and immorality” bit lies the dirty big secret of the renewables industry which must be protected at all costs by elitist Omerta. Energy from wind and solar power are not reliable, sometimes the wind does not blow sufficiently strongly (or sufficently steadily - wind turbines can't handle sudden gusts,) and there are cloudy and rainy days even in southern Spain or south California which mean that while geenies in the UK are crowing about ONE DAY in the summer of 2017 when more of our energy "came from green sources" they carefully omit to mention that most of the energy from coal, gas and oil fuelled plants was going down to earth because such equipment cannot be shut down or brought back to optimum speed at the flick of a switch. The same amount of carbon dioxide was being emitted, but the fuel burned was simply wasted.

Yemen's brutal civil war slips into its fourth year

Last month Yemen's civil war slipped into its fourth year. It's a war without obvious good or bad guys: Security Council investigators have documented violations of international humanitarian law by all sides. UN human rights officials nonetheless claim that the "leading cause" of civilian casualties are airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition, which backs Yemen's President Hadi against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels and allied supporters of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh. The coalition's air operations may not be any more indiscriminate or lacking in precaution than Houthi artillery and missile attacks, but are certainly more powerful and widespread.

What is Britain's involvement in a war the UK government itself calls the world's largest humanitarian crisis? Limited, if ministers are to be believed.

Throughout the Yemen conflict, Saudi Arabia has remained by far Britain's leading arms export customer. Half of all UK exports of weapons and military equipment from 2013 to 2017 went to the Kingdom (up from 28% in 2007-11). Most were for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), 151 of whose 324 combat aircraft are British-supplied, along with weapons, ground systems, parts and spares.

Faced with inevitable legal and political criticism, the UK government insists that it isn't responsible for - and cannot even necessarily know - how UK-supplied weapons are used after they have been shipped. Last July the High Court agreed (though activists are now applying to appeal that decision).

The reality of the UK's relationship with the Saudi military challenges this 'flog and forget' theory of arms control. Under a sequence of formal agreements between the UK and Saudi governments since 1973, the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and its contractors supply not only military 'hardware', but also human 'software'. Around 7000 individuals - private employees, British civil servants and seconded Royal Air Force personnel - are present in Saudi Arabia to advise, train, service and manage British-supplied combat aircraft and other military equipment.

Ministers have nonetheless assured Parliament that these support staff are strictly hands-off: "there is no British involvement in the coalition in targeting or weaponizing aircraft to undertake missions [in Yemen]". Likewise they insist that neither UK military personnel nor contractor personnel "are involved in the loading of weapons for operational sorties, nor are they involved in the planning of operational sorties".

Documents and testimonies we've gathered paint a more complicated picture. Over the past eighteen months, with the support of the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, Katherine Templar and I have sought to map these British and British-employed personnel in Saudi Arabia, trying to understand their work and their experiences. Though their existence is hardly a secret, their precise numbers and functions have long remained obscure. The UK-Saudi agreements that govern their work are classified 'UK Confidential/RSAF Secret' and are closed from public release until 2027. Even UK ministers say they "do not have full visibility of the prime contractor's manpower footprint in Saudi Arabia, the detail of which forms part of the commercial arrangements underpinning the delivery of much of the contracted support and is therefore sensitive."

We've interviewed technicians, managers and officials from every level of this UK-Saudi 'footprint', backed up by individuals' written CVs and formal job descriptions. If they are no longer physically loading bombs, as ministers insist, they're still required to do almost everything else. A mix of UK company employees and seconded RAF personnel have continued to be responsible for maintaining the weapons systems of all Saudi Tornado IDS fighter-bombers, a backbone of the Yemen air war. They also work as aircraft armourers and weapons supervisors for the UK-supplied Typhoon fighters deployed at the main operating bases for Saudi Yemen operations, and provide deeper-level maintenance for Yemen-deployed combat aircraft.

These roles are underpinned by UK military commitments to Saudi Arabia that have never been disclosed to public or parliament. Our report discloses one of them, from a UK-Saudi agreement named 'Al Yamamah', which details how the UK will supply and support Saudi Arabia's Tornado fighter-bombers. MOD officials have confirmed that this secret 1986 agreement continues in force "as long as the programme lasts", despite more recent accords. (When in 2006 the UK's Guardian newspaper obtained an earlier, less detailed agreement which had been released "by mistake" to the National Archives at Kew, the MOD removed the files overnight, and claimed their release "severely dented [Saudi] confidence in the [UK's] ability to protect sensitive information").

A similar inadvertent indiscretion seems to have been repeated: though the files containing the 'Al Yamamah' agreement remain withheld from public view, a bundle of unrelated Downing Street files, recently placed unnoticed in the National Archives, contains key extracts of the agreement.

As these papers show, the agreement requires that "United Kingdom civilian and military personnel will remain available in Saudi Arabia for preparation, including arming and support, of the [Tornado fighter-bomber] aircraft during an armed conflict" in which Saudi Arabia is involved, though these personnel may not "participate" in the conflict directly. The clause makes no reference to the authorisation or lawfulness of such a conflict.

British diplomats were concerned about the implications of this commitment from the start, lobbying within Whitehall during negotiations for the clause to be removed. "At worst", the Foreign Office's Middle East Department wrote to the MOD's defence sales division, "this [clause] could expose HMG to accusations that they were involved in an undercover role in any number of types of unlawful military adventures; at best, it might threaten to compromise British neutrality in armed conflicts between third States." Papers elsewhere in the National Archives show that the commitment was removed from a draft version of the agreement circulated within Whitehall six weeks before signature. It nonetheless seems to have been re-inserted into the final agreement at the last minute.

It's difficult for the UK government to argue that it cannot know much about how its arms supplies are used, when it is helping the Saudi armed forces to use them. Our research doesn't judge the rights or wrongs of the war in Yemen. But Britain's day-to-day involvement with these weapons systems gives it a duty of precaution to help prevent civilian harm from those weapons. The government also has a duty of care for the thousands of British citizens at work in Saudi Arabia in quasi-military roles, fulfilling UK MOD contracts but as employees of private companies, without some of the legal and physical protections of military personnel or public servants. Most of the individuals we spoke to described their time in Saudi Arabia as amongst the most professionally and financially rewarding experiences of their lives. But we also spoke with whistle-blowers left unprotected under Saudi Labour Law, and even deprived of their British passports while working (a practice which seems now to have ended). We met contractors who described occasional physical jeopardy, from Scud missiles to unexploded ordnance. And we interviewed technicians anxious about the legal ramifications of their work within a foreign military machine at war.

In an event that marks the latest step in Canada's descent into collective insanity, Ryerson University held the nation's first “white privilege” conference this month. Hundreds of academics, media luvvies, professional hand wringers and all the usual suspects turned up at the Toronto-based institution to indulge in an orgy of hated, bigotry and racism aimed at "white people. (nobody defined exactly who was being hated, as I've always said, no human being ever was truly white, no human being ever was truly black.

The week-long event, which took place from May 9th to May 12th, was largely organised by Ryerson’s first vice-president of equity and community inclusion Denise O’Neil Green. Apparently Ms O'Neil Green does not include white people in her definitions of inclusive or equality. Oh well, I guess her degree is not in English language.

Green told The Toronto Star her definition of “white privilege” was “an unearned benefit or ‘perk’ that one receives simply because of their skin colour. (What, like the benefits and advantages handed to blacks because of their skin colour? - how many white kids get affirmative action uplifts on their exam grades?)

A more multi-layered way of looking at it is that white privilege operates in terms of a system that benefits particular groups over others”, she added.

Ah, now it's clear, being shat on by a system that favours minorities is a privilege.

Another well known figure who took part in the event was Rinaldo Walcott, (why do all these paskudniaks have silly names?) an associate professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, who has been an enthusiastic supporter of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and participates in the “Faculty for Palestine” group.

I often wonder if these over educated, reality deficient half wits understand that however wrong the treatment of Palestinians by Israel is (and what has gone on there is absolutely criminal), for almost a thousand years before the creation of Israel, first under the Islamic Caliphate, then The Ottoman Empire, the Palestinians were doing it to the Jews.

When asked about his response to people who say white privilege does not exist, Walcott dismissed criticism saying that white working class people have an easier time progressing up the socio-economic ladder than black people or indigenous people. Nothing to do with their being smarter or harder working then.
