Why Does It Take A Black American To Speak The Truth About Immigration To Britain And Europe

American economist and social philosopher, Thomas Sowell now aged 94 but with a mind as sharp as a Samuri sword is a  widely published author of articles, essays and books and as a guest on TV and radio, a well-known voice in the American conservative movement as a prominent black conservative.

 

When asked recently to comment on the current social and political chaos in Europe Prof Sowell responded: "Europe is belatedly discovering how unbelievably stupid it was to import millions of people from cultures that despise Western values and promote hatred toward the people who have let them in.”

 

To be fair he could have said the same (and might well have done so,) about the USA during both the Obama era and when demented Joe Biden was fronting a Democrat politbureau which governed as a Soviet style bureaucratic dictatorship.

The same thing seems to be happening all over the developed world,  and is certainly not  confined to Europe alone. Worse, not only are most of the immigrants flooding in low quality individuals from cultural backgrounds which make them hostile to Euro - American values and ways of life. In fact a lot of these immigrants actively dislike the countries they moved into. They will go on about the “degenerate West” or decry “Western racism”, describe western women as whores for dressing fashionably and going out in public eith their faces and hair uncoverd

But when you ask them about their own countries, seeking to understand why women are treated as chattels of their husband or father, why homosexuals can be legally murdered, or why their culture exists in a state of medieval barbarity all you get is an endless list of excuses, or some bearded lunatic threatening you with a knife and yelling Allahu Akbar!

It’s sad but undeniable that certain political movements in the west have contributed greatly to this situation. The people, particularly the young of  Western nations hate themselves and this can be traced back to the education system which teaches a distorted version of history and untroduces critical race theory into the curriculum at every opportunity, young males have are emasculted having been taught via feminist, gay, and trans propaganda that there is something shameful about being a heterosexual male.

Tolerance is the key to the problem, the ideas has been inculcated that we must always be tolerant. And so people have come to believe we must tolerate the intolerance of those who would destroy our civilised societies. The people who demonise the liberal values of the westrern democracies would not last a day if they went to Russia, China or the Arab world and began loudly decrying all the ills of local society society and the mistakes of the government… here, in Europe, and apparently in muh of in America it isn’t much different, such behavior is not just tolerated but encouraged.

The difference in Europe and many of the USA's larger cities, is the sheer volume of immigrants. There are just so many of them social services are overwhelmed. And a disproportionate number of them are Muslims and North Africans. Whereas American immigrants are primarily Latinos who don’t exactly “hate” American culture — they’re quite adapt at fitting in, in fact, a lot of these Muslims have been radicalised by fundamentalist preachers and are intent on forcing the people of their host nation in order to accommodate the values of the newcomers. Now of course, there’s a difference between a physician from India or Jamaica or a well-educated Turk, and some dirt-poor Moroccan or Tunisian from a small town or rural village, with fundamentalist Islamic values…

While I agree with Sowell's words quoted above, I must query if it is entirely right to call their attitude to the west and its cultures and peoples “hate” — it isn’t. It’s something closer to a total lack of respect mixed with pure contempt. Radicals don’t see the tender-spirited, bleeding-heart liberals that make up Europe’s core as equals or as people deserving of either fear or respect. Their own governments would cut their heads off for rape or theft, in Europe they get a slap on the wrist while those who allowed them to enter hand-wringingly explain away their basest behaviors as “cultural differences.”

If the authorities do try to bring them to justice for crimes ranging from enering the country illegally to rape, terrorism and murder, human rights lawyer, traitors like British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, defender of terrorists, enabler of rapists, supporter of anti Semitism, friend of paedophiles and general arsehole, will use any loophole or technicality they can to win the right to remain for these people BECAUSE HUMAN RIGHTS!

Is it any wonder we are seeing a rise in civil unrest in Britain and all around Europe.

U.K. Faces Increasing Division and Declining Trust, Warns Report

 

The UK is now almost as divided between the political poles as the US, according to a new study.research by Dame Sara Khan, the Government’s former counter-extremism tsar, found. Although the terms left and right have lost all meaning, voters fall into two groups, supporters of Big State micromanagement of society and free speech libertarians.

Dame Sara's report warned that there was decreasing societal cohesion and resilience which was contributing to a permissive environment that extremists could exploit. The percentage of people who believed Muslims have “completely different” values, to people of the liberal secular democracies had increased from 38 per cent to 44 per cent following the summer riots after the Southport murder of three girls at a Taylor Swift dance class.

Around eight in 10 (80 per cent) of Jews felt less safe in Britain than before the Oct 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel which claimed the lives of more than 1,200 people.

Forty-five per cent of people interviewed said they rarely trusted the government to put the nation’s interests first, regardless of the party in power. This was up from 23 per cent in 2020.

Out of 28 countries, the UK was the least trusting at 39 per cent, down from 43 per cent last year. The study, published by think tank Crest Insights, specialises in the criminal justice system, found the UK had the least trust in the media.

Until there is an admission from all sides in Parliament that multi culturism has failed, until mass immigration is controlled and government start putting British people first instead of favouring incomers, nothing will change. The lefties and progressive dream of multi-cultural Britain has failed because in the words of the divisive few “Britain is just too white.”

To recent governments both past and present, this is  music to their ears, because all major poliyical parties, academic groups, media, and state institutions are fully signed up to the globalist agenda of replacing educated working classes in Europe, North America and a few other outposts of civilisation with semi - literate immigrants from third world shitholes. Such people are far less able to argue their case for a better deal and far less likely to organise and take collective action to win their agrument. Simples.

And still the population replacement gains pace. Soon their won’t be any white English people left.

Christianity’s Decline Has Not Ushered In A Scientific Utopia But Why Has Prof. Dawkins Come Out As A Cultural Christian.

 When his best selling non - fiction book 'The God Delusion' was causing multiple sensationalist responses in print and broadcast mediaalmost 20 years ago Richard Dawkins was for a time the star of the New Atheism movement. Now, his having spoken of being a cultural Christian is is causing consternation amongst militant atheists, progressives and The Church of Scientism cult.

Dawkins latest position should surprise nobody, he has spoken of his “cultural Christianity” before, without defining how he, as an individual, defines this Cultural Christianity. I can give you my take on the question because like many people who have passed their seventieth year, I was baptized in the Christian religion (though even if anybody had asked if it was what I wanted, at around six weeks old I was not capable of giving informed consent,) began my education at the age of five in a Church of England school, the only school available in a small Shropshire village. So no matter whTat direction any of my generation took when able to make our own choices we are all Cultural Christians in an allegedly Christian nation and the formation of our mopral compass was influence by what are wrongly called Judeo - Christian values. Throughout our lives, people of my genertation have witnessed the decline of Christianity as societies became more open and liberal and the questioning of Christian dogma became socially accepatable. Thus when I referred above to England (Britain if you like, though Scotland and Wales are culturally different from we English,) it was because even as late as the early 1960s there was a social stigma attached to openly rejecting Christianity, so it could never be known how many people truly believed in the Christian faith and how many simply paid lip service to the beliefs of their inherited religion. New Atheism, a fashionable ideology in the fin - de - siecle madness of the 1990s was wrong in crucial respects, but was a predictable reaction to the nonsensical religious philosophy of Christian churches, a mish mash of myths and parables from a variety of belief systems and cults from the middle east and scross Europe. Where New Atheism was mistaken was that it failed to understand the role and importance of some kind of common belief system in human communities. In predicting that following religion's decline the developed world would transform into some kind of enlightened utopia in which, as one boy scientist on a site I was involved in phrased his vision, "Humanity would abandon superstition and magical thinking and we would all live scientifically." And though people who thought like that, science has taken on many aspects of a religious cult, particularly in its approach to vaccination and climate change. New Atheism assumed that, as people abandoned Christianity they would embrace a secular position and line up behind the kind of philosophical position described by Dawkins in "The God Delusion." It is not surprising then that many are shocked to read or hear of Dawkins himself saying that maybe the Christian belief system (as opposed to the many Christian religions,) had something going for it, but when we see the zel with which many people have embraced 'net zero', BLM, The Green New Deal, Globalism and Transgenderism, it is easy to see why the professor might have changed his punlic position on secular (Cultural) Christianity.

I understand what Richard Dawkins is saying but his self description as a cultural Christian has no more meaning than my describing myself as a 'paganistic humanist - and no, you can't join because I haven't worked out what, if anything, it means.

Christianity might have a chance of survival if it could get rid of the Jesus fairy tales (or at least did not require grown ups to profess belief in them,) and admit it's 'Judeo - Christian' values are just borrowings from the Greeks, North - European pagans, Zoroasdtrians, and Hinduism / Buddhism.

The purpose of tribal religions to our neolithic and Bronze Age ancestors was to hold the tribes or clans together through common values and a shared moral compass. Unfortunately the Abrahamic religions killed that aspect of religion because the sole aim was to focus power and wealth in the hands of the priesthood.

Many people will disagree with that statement, some saying that the purpose of the Abrahamic relions is to reconcile humanity to the ways of God the Creator while others will reminds me that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and the puropse of whorship is to redemm our souls. To any of them, and others I say just take a look at the lavish splendour of the medieval cathedrals in Europe, built at enormous cost while ordinary people were living in squalour and starving. Christianity cannot wipe out its brutal and amoral past with pious platitudes.

Then there are the Creationists. I enjoy a good debate and would always be willing to consider a well argued case for Intellihent Design, but if one tries to engage on the topic the opposing premise will be, "But surely you must see that all thw wonders of our world and the Universe xould not have come about by accident, they could only have been created.

Time is a human construct, the universe has always been here doing what it does. Big Bang theory was created by theoretical physicists who believed the secrets of the universe could be found in mathematics explanations when they discovered their mathematical explanations needed a point from which to start calculating. That is speculation of course, with no more had evidence to support it than any creation myth. Where creationists fall down is in floating the idea that an imaginary god could have created anything real.

I have long been aware of the pointlessness of trying to discuss the supernatural claims of the religious as logic tends to go out the window. Even the simple question: ‘Why are you a Christian? ‘ poses a major problem because like myself the vast majority did not become Christians having evaluated all other religions. Needless to say, this applies to the other Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Islam, because the vast majority of their followers were born into them and stay in the faith for reasons which though valid, family, community etc.) are nothing to do with a literal belief in the god or the scriptures. Hinduism is somwhat different, although Hindus are born into the system their concept of the divine does not require them to have absolute faith in imaginaty spirits.

Another point to reflect on is that the belief systems of these religions can be poles apart though the priestly caste claim they worship the same god. For example in Christianity Jesus is seen as the son of God and only through him can you enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In contrast Judaism and Islam just see him as just another human prophet. Even within Christianity itself, opposite and incompatible ideas exist. While Roman Cathloics and European Protestants belive Jesus is the actual son of God, the Eastern ortodoc churches take a different view, while Coptic, Ethiopian and Sycriac Christians have a different belief again. As Christian belief has to be absolute, they can't all be right. But they can all be wrong.

Moreover, all the sacred scriptures of major religions were based on oral traditions passed down over centuries and are highly questionable, for example the Christian gospels were written years after the death of Jesus death, and not by the Aramaic speaking disciples of Jesus as many believe, but by Greek speaking educated scribes.

While highlighting these points I still understand why a religious belief is important to many as it serves as ‘something to hold onto’ or provides a comforting feeling that there is some stabilising force, in a tough and troubled world and so I respect peoples' right to their faith. But if it is the faith rather than the name of the god or the content of the creed that is important surely then we have to respect paganism, Sikhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism and Shamanistic Animism as equals and drop claims to be 'The one true Church'.

Woke Is Authoritarian, The Left Is Now The Right

 

I'm old enough to remember the dawn of the hippe movement and shortly before that, though I was at the beginning of my teens at the time, the growth of the civil rights movement. These two things were connected by a collective desire of the part of their followers to create a society free from injustice and inequality, in which traditional prejudices did not define people.  Those laudable aims have, in a few decades, morphed into the excesses of progressive thinking and the screeching authoritarianism of the 'woke' movement and its ideology. The fact that politicians ranging from Ron DeSantis to Rishi Sunak deploy “woke” as a battle cry against pressure groups who hold that on any issue there is only one acceptable opinion and only one correct way of thinking. Not only conservatives and classical liberals (like myself,) but many socialists are increasingly uneasy with the form it has taken.

The woke discourse today is confusing because while it appeals to traditional left wing values: empathy for the marginalised, indignation at the plight of the oppressed, determination that historical wrongs can be righted, it adopts many of the tactics favoured by tyrants and totalitarian regimes in trying to win its arguments.  Thus the high minded principles are undermined by a range of theoretical assumptions — usually expressed as self-evident truths — that ultimately undermine them.

The concept of unity or universalism once defined the Left; solidarity was its watchword and the idea that the common bond of our shared humanity overrode considerations of nationality, race and religious affiliations distinguished it from the Right, which recognised no universal connections, and few real obligations, to anyone outside its own circle. 

The Left claimed there was only one race, the human race. Being a socialist or a liberal meant: caring about striking coal miners in Wales, or Republican volunteers in Spain, or freedom fighters in Africa, the ruination of good land by strip mining, the pollution of seas and rivers therough unregulated dumping of waste, and the exploitation of the many by the few. What united the left was the conviction that behind all the differences of time and space which separate us, human beings are deeply connected in a wealth of ways. To say that histories and geographies affect us is trivial. To say they determine us is false.

Going all in on racially and socially divisive identity politics, making everything political, and making politics itself a zero sum game had to end badly  Followers of the 'woke' ideology loudly and aggrssively declared everyone not aligned with their way of thinking as enemies to be marginalised and 'cancelled' (excluded from social activity,) they shouted down anyone who tried to warn that the path they are on is dangerously authoritarian. Even now, with pushbacks growing stronger every day, they  still seem incapable of truly understanding the Law of Unintended Consequences or the corruption of power. “Authoritarian tendencies?” “Undermining democracy?” That is what the progressive movement with its 'woke' ideology, have been doing! 

Much of the Classical Liberal Left has already abandoned them. They are called “far-right” now by the modern left even though they were not the ones who decided they love corporate power, political establishments, authoritarianism, hating on the rural and global poor and their innate conservatism. 

Progressives have abandoned the philosophical ideas that are central to any liberal or Left-wing standpoint: a commitment to universalism over tribalism.

As a liberal I was always cautious about such principles as unregulated immigration and the abolition of principles, simply because sometimes pragmatism must outweigh idealism, but even so many like me felt the progressive cause was a necessary and sometimes even admirable part of our politics. But now?

Now, progressivism has become more associated with the behaviour of Atilla the Hun. The only way to stop this new fascism, (an accurate description of what it is) is forcefully – just as force historically has always had to be deployed against fascism in all its many forms – both Left and Right

I don’t think the distinction we should pay attention to is between tribalism and universalism, but between authoritarianism and genuine liberalism. There are and always have been authoritarians out there in society, and what sham philosophies they parrot are always just the tools they’re trying to use at any given time to get and keep power. Presently, they’re pretending to be Progressives, but the censorship, government control – including violence – and infliction of their mandates by way of public shaming just shows them to be the same old wolves in lambs’ clothing. The trend in history leads in fits and starts and occasional reverses against them, and gosh do they hate that. They’re just mean and always have been.

Are US Supplied Long Range Missiles Really Winning The War For Ukraine?

Last month the Russian military high command announced an "operational pause" in the Donbas. region of Ukraine, where the most intense fighting in the current conflict has been focused. Such breaks are not unusual in a high-intensity war of attrition, because of the vast supplies required and damages inflicted. Armies need to regroup, re - supply, review progress and give the troops time off.

Naturally, given the one sided tone of reporting by mainstream media of the five month old war, which has gone something like: "Ukraine are winning this war, the Ukrainians are driving Russian forces back. Ukraine's army have retaken most of the territory occupied by Russia, Putin has been humiliated. Putin is on his deathbed, boy are the Ukrainians giving those nasty Russian bullies a good thrashing. Oh dear, another major Ukrainian city / military stronghold has fallen to the Russian onslaught, the reporting by mainstream broadcast and print media in the west has claimed there must be another reason that Russian military activity has decreased.

Well for reasons stated above or possibly other considerations it has decreased. Russian artillery fire has been reduced, and there seem to have been less offensives. But of course we do not get told anything remotely resembling what is really going on.

Thus while the Russians are regrouping in Donbas and reviewing strategy, but still advancing, western media reports the Ukrainians have started hitting targets on the Kherson front in the South.,even making their lies more incredible by claiming the Ukrainians have actually taken more territory off Russia in the South, than the Russians have off them in the Donbas. It's bollocks of course, the Ukranian army  (and their American helpers but you didn't learn that last bit from me, OK?) have fired a few long range missiles from American Himars systems into Russian occupied territory and managed to hit one or two significant targets.

Kherson is very important strategically - it is the only foothold that the Russians have north and west of the Dnipro River, which is the major strategic barrier that runs across Ukraine from Crimea to Kyiv. If the Ukrainian attack was anywhere near being successful, Russia would have called the big guns up to the front. They have not done so which suggests they are not unduly worried.

While there is an element in the west who glorify war (see Wilfrid Owen's poem Dulce et decorum est,) most of us just want the fighting to stop. Mention this however and the mob will attack, accusing one of being 'Putin's poodle, hating democracy (as if the corrupt, neo - Nazi Ukrainian government is anything to do with democracy, a fascist, a right wing nutcase, a propaganda troll on The Kremlin's payroll and all sorts of nonsense. These people then go on to call for escalation of the war, direct intervention against Russia by NATO, supplying the neo - Nazi nutters in Kiev with nuclear weapons and sensing in the SAS / US Navy Seals to take out Putin. It's difficult to have a rational exchange of opinions with such people.

Even before the current conflict began we knew the Russian military would be brutal and ruthless, if not quite competent in prosecuting their war. They have a reputation going back hundreds of years. We knew that the government in Kiev had been provoking Russia on an almost daily basis since the pro - western elements were put into power following a coup d'etat engineered by the USA and NATO. Anyone with even the most tenuous hold on reality knew Ukraine could not win this war without direct NATO involvement, and that direct intervention would escalate a local conflict into a global war.

This blog, my colleagues and I, do not want any war, we do not want innocent Ukrainian civilians dying, we do not want Russian soldiers dying. But what we three old gits and our occasional contributors knew from day one and before is that the Russianm mindset and the east European mindset operate on a different set of values to those of us in the west.

For those who believe in western values and freedoms a couple of key points are emergingabout the conflict.Firstly, this is likely to be a longer war than was envisaged. Sadly Russia would have to suffer major casualties before they even considered withdrawal. They are not like the British, American, french or German public whose enthusiasm for war wanes as soon as the body bags start coming home.

Second, Ukraine has no real option to finish the war, they cannot win and only by winning could they persuade Russia to accept a ceasfire on Ukrainian terms. Russia on the other hand can simply withdraw - despite its aggression - and cripple Ukraine economically as they are now crippling the economies of Ukraine's main supporters in the European Union. 

If Russia withdraws it is unlikely to suffer the type of attack that it itself perpetrated. This means that the timing of the end of the war is in Russia's hands.

Third, there is a need for unity in the West, not to escalate the war but to put pressure on Ukrain to accept reasonable terms for surrender and bring Russia to the negotiating table.  However the UK govt need to dissociate Europe from America's efforts to use this conflict as a proxy war against Russia . It is largely a one-way war as any perusal of European media will confirm, and whatever is reported from the front line in Ukraine, in the economic war Putin is winning hands down as Europe faces energy shortages, food shortages, runaway inflation and the fragmentation of the European Union. However the perpetration of a continuous state of hostility between Russia and Europe benefits no one except Putin.It certainly does not benefit the United Kingdom.

Russia is not our friend but the EU and globalism  are our real enemies, the EU still trying to punish us for Brexit. Brussels is trying to carve off Northern Ireland, sending illegals across the channel and doing its best to hold up travellers in Dover. We should be open to leaving NATO if France doesn't stop the invasion of our Southern shores by illegals. It is in fact an act of economic war and no different to the economic war Russia is now waging on Europe and America by reducing gas exports.

 

The USA is responsible for the war in Ukraine, had they not tried to push Ukraine into NATO (an absolute no - no as far as Russia was concerned, had they not given Kiev the impression that should Russia invade Ukraine Washington, backed by the NATO posse would ride to the rescue, had the USA not meddled in Syria's internal affairs too, by sponsoring another proxy war, arming and financing ISIS in a bid to topple President Assad, had Washington not tried to control the internal politics of afghanistan and Iraq, the world might now be a better place. As things stand the USA needs ti be taught a lesson and Putin, aided covertly by President Xi in China might be about to do that while the kerfuffle in Ukraine provides a convenient diversion.

 

The Germans also need to learn a lesson, a different lesson. They laughed when Trump warned them - and others - that it was madness that the US subsidised European defence while they transferred billions to Russia for Gas. He also pointed out that this made Germany, the world's fourth largest economy over-reliant on Russia for its energy. I personally would love to see Putin turn the gas off so the Germans and the arrogant bureaucrats in Brussels learn their lesson, that modern, developed nations cannot afford to be wholly dependent on a potentially hostile neighbour for the means to keep its industry and businesses running and its homes warm and well lit. 

As for Ukraine, Putin is holding four aces:

1. Gas: Should Russia cut off the gas supply half of Europe (and most of NATO) will be plunged into economic meltdown and social chaos. Attitudes and unity could change very quickly if the Russians weaponise this vital commodity. USA, the EU and their allies were quick to sanction Russia, crying foul now Russia is sanctioning them is hardly credible.

2. Grain and vegetable oil: Not only are some poor countries now facing a food crisis as wheat and cooking oil, two essential commodities that Russia and Ukraine are the largest exporters of. UK is fairly safe on this one, we get most of our imported grain from Canada, but other west European nations rely on imports from Russia and Ukraine.

3. Battlefield nuclear: The Russian army in the field may have been brutal but Russia's high command has been very restrained. Were they to roll out the big weapons the slaughter would be on an unprecedented scale.

4. Fertilizer: Russia also provides the raw materials for over 50% of the commercial fertiliser used to boost crop yields. So were the war to end tomorrow and the grain start flowing again, the shortage of fertilizer will ensure a vastly reduced harvest and shortages next year.

Outcome? Stalemate. I can't see Ukraine ever getting Crimea back, and it will be hard going to re-take the South and South East. It's very easy for those sitting comfortably in the West wanting Ukraine to fight to the bitter end. But in reality that is going to cost. Crimea especially will be such a major operation I doubt Ukraine could do it without the direct involvement of the U.S. U.K. France and other NATO members, and that would risk escalation to a global conflict should China grab the opportunity to annexe Taiwan while Washington was looking the other way.
