Minister's Claim That 40% UK Energy Comes From Renewables Is Technically Illiterate

Britain's newly installed Secretary of State for Energy, Grant Shapps, is still learning the job so perhaps we should cut him some slack, but even so a statement he made on our energy supply today shows astounding ignorance of technical details relating to his portfolio.

Answering a question in Parliament this morning about Britain's ability to reach its target of getting 40% of our energy needs from sustainable sources, Shapps sneered that it was not possible for us to reach 40% now as we already get 43% from wind. Unfortunately the sneering sarcasm was misplaced but served to reveal the man in charge of energy policy does not know the difference between energy and electricity.

In fairness to Grant Shapps, he is not alone when it comes to misunderstanding what role renewables play in our national energy supply. Ministers or seldom experts in their own righ on the topic their ministry looks after, instead receiving briefings from civil servants on matters they are required to pontificate on. And for thirty years Department of Energy civil servants have been promoting wind power above all else as it provides the easiest opportunities for corporate investors and the rich to steal taxpayers money.

We understand that in fact, somewhat inconventiently for Mr Shapps renewables create around a notional 43% of our electricity, not our energy. Even then the figures are dodgy because biomass (i.e. burning wood pellets,) is counted as a renewable even though it takes trees years to grow, takes fertile land away from food production and emits more Carbon Dioxide per ton of fuel than either coal or gas. The true figures on how our electricity is sources are: Gas - 47%, Nuclear - 16%, Wind - 15%, Solar - 7%, Biomass - 7%, and the rest from hydro, coal and other fringe sources.

But that is just electricity and it is easy to understand that confusion in terms between energy and electricity when mainstream media talking heads use them interchangably. However the idea that Britain is almost halfway to being powered completely by renewables adds to the great, green delusion of energy independence. is dangerous in that it fuels the scientific delusion that we are halway to 'net zero' already.

Electricity only accounts for 20% of our total energy supply. The rest comes from filthy fossil fuels, and will for the foreseeable future. So, renewables provide 40% of 20% which is a mere 8% of our energy needs.

As a further necessary point, quite a decent proportion of that 8% comes from burning dirty, CO2 producingt wood pellets and even more comes from nuclear, which though a zero carbon dioxide source is and even bigger bogeyman for the Exstinktion Rebellion crusties than burning old car tyres.

So, the idea that we are nearly halfway to no-carbon renewable energy paradise is just more gaslighting of a population gullible enough to trot off and get a vaccine that doesn't work in order to protect themselves from a disease that is less likely to kill that tripping on your pajama trousers and falling downstairs. And how much CO2 does that amount of gaslighting generate?

Amazing Increase in Global Sea Ice Confounds the Net Zero Warmageddonists

For years now we have been assailed by stories from Climate Change alarmists about the catastrophic consequences of disappearing sea ice which was melting rapidly due to man made climate change. Sea levels would rise, low lying nations and islands would be swamped under salt water, there would be mass extinctions of plant and animal species and it would be impossible to get a pizza that was not soggy.

SHOCK! HORROR! According to a new study based on satellite data, in 2022 there is more Artic sea ice that at any time in the past 30 years. So why after all those dire predictions of doom and devastation has Arctic sea ice cover come roaring back so quickly over the last few years? Nobody knows – apparently not one scientist on the planet can tell you, writes Willis Eschenbach in a short essay for the climate alarmism watchdog site Watts Up With That?

It might be noted, of course, that there was always a plethora of 'peer reviewed' scientific papers to back up warning of the many catastrophes that never happened or explanations of how human activity was to blame whenever there was a cyclical blip in regular climate patterns, and mostly these related to how humans were hellbent on destroying all life on earth. Ice melting at the Poles is still one of the crucial supports for the entire Net Zero political agenda.

The above graph shows changes in Arctic sea ice cover during the satellite era. Values are anomalies from the 1991-2020 average. Eschenbach notes that since around 1990, people have been talking about how human-emitted carbon dioxide is reducing the amount of Arctic sea ice. When it started dropping very fast, there was talk we’d passed a ‘tipping’ point from which the ice would never recover. Over this time, noted Eschenbach, predictions of an ice-free Arctic ocean abounded.

Obsessions are hard to shake off and the obessive doom-mongering of the climate alarmist industry is no exception. Despite the recent recovery in sea ice and the increase in numbers of Polar Bears which were predicted to be extinct by now, there is still talk of tipping points – mostly an invention of so-called ‘attribution’ computer models – being passed. In his recent Frozen Planet II agitprop series, the BBC's old far in chief, Sir David Attenborough made a number of model-produced references to the Arctic being free of summer sea ice by 2035.

So why did the Antarctic ice pack, unlike the Arctic pack, start increasing quite rapidly around 2008? Nobody knows, the mathematical modellers say (and we must never forget that all the evidence for catatrophic climate change presented by 'scientists' comes from mathematical models based on 'adjusted data' rather than from information gathered in the real world. Why did the Antarctic differ from the Arctic by plateauing from 2010 to 2015, but then mirror the Arctic by dropping rapidly, and then turn around and start rebounding? You guessed it – nobody knows.

Why has global sea ice followed this pattern, while CO₂ continues to rise in the atmosphere, he asks. The politically-motivated alarmists constantly tell us the ice will soon all disappear. According to Eschenbach, not one climate scientist on the planet predicted these large changes in sea ice.

The study's author concludes:

Here’s the strangest part. Despite the failure of the many predictions of an ‘ice-free Arctic’, despite the falsified claims that we’ve passed a ‘tipping point’, despite the fact that the reasons for the curious and unexpected changes in the polar sea ice cannot be explained by anyone and the changes weren’t predicted by anyone – climate change scientists still insist that they can tell us what the global temperature will be like in the year 2100.

Of course, there are many sceptical scientists who seek answers to the cyclical nature of global ice outside the restrictive confines of ‘settled’ climate science. As the Daily Sceptic has often reported, short-term movements of ice are affected by often incalculable atmospheric heat exchanges, ocean currents and many other natural climatic variations.

The geologist Professor Ian Plimer recently noted in an essay published by Quadrant, there have been six major ice ages and each started when there was far more CO₂ in the atmosphere than now. Taking the longer view, Plimer said that we are currently in an ice age initiated 34 million years ago, the current interglacial started 14,400 years ago in the Northern Hemisphere, and we were at the peak of this interglacial 4,000-7,000 years ago in the Holocene Optimum.

Two American geologists recently found that over half of the Arctic’s glaciers and ice caps that exist today did not exist or were smaller 3,400 to 10,000 years ago. At the time, atmospheric CO₂ ranged between 260 to 270 parts per million, compared to the current 410 ppm. At the peak of this interglacial Arctic warming, temperatures were noted to be several degrees warmer than today. Change in the size of glaciers and ice caps over the last few centuries “is only a partial return to a former period of much greater warmth”, the geologists suggest.

Political tactics designed to scare entire populations into abasndoning the prosperity civilisation has brought and the great majority of us delivering ourselves into states of existence similar medieval servitude in compliance with the demands of the Net Zero agenda, while the obscenely rich business and financial elites grow even more rich and powerful, pay little attention to bothersome things like facts.

Global warming ran out of steam a couple of decades ago, and the latest satellite data for November is almost certain to extend the current eight year, one month pause in the warming trend (which was a minor blip at the end of a sixteen yeear pause. Instead a ‘highway to hell’ message is broadcast ad nauseum, with predictions of famine drought, floods, wildfires, hurricanes and deadly heatwaves, based almost solely on output from mathematical models fed with invented data attributing bad or ‘extreme’ weather to the activities of humans.

Despite the overwhelming evidence from the past that global temperatures can rise and fall rapidly, an entire climate industry, backed by almost unlimited transfers of wealth from often poor to rich people, has sprung up forecasting the impending Warmageddon if there is a rise of a few parts of a degree centigrade. Satellite Images Shows Extent Of Ukraine Power Grid Destruction

Western Media's 'Ukraine Is Winning' Narrative Exposed As Pure Propaganda Lies.

Day after day since the war began back in February the narrative peddled by US and European mainstream media is that Ukraine was winning on all fronts and the Russians were taking a terrible beating as their special Military Operation failed. The recent Russian pull-back of troops to the east bank of the Dneipro River, which was hailed by the west as a great defeat and total hulimiation for Russia and its leader Vladimir Putin was in fact a sound tactical move. With winter approaching it was wise to dig in behind defensible boundaries. The move also indicated a shift in Russian tactics to the one thing the Kremlin had avoided for several months, full spectrum strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure with the aim of knocking out vital services such as electricity, telecommunications and water and rendering transport links unusable.

Initially, Ukraine's media spin suggested that Russia's precision strikes were "ineffective", with western news outlets showing only old images of burned out tanks, craters in streets and some scarred apartment buildings. There were limited admissions of damage to the power and water grids, but Ukraine claimed that these systems would be back and functional within days. This did not happen. Ukrainian claims that Russia had lost thousands of soldiers killed or maimed while the Ukrainian military suffered only light losses were also revealed as the opposite of the truth. Reliable sources not linked to either government or to NATO report that while Russia has taken significant losses, Ukraines dead and critically wounded outnumber Russia's by five to one.

It is not surprising then to learn that Ukraine has suffered far more damage to their utilities than the government and media are willig to report. Latest estimates, backed by satellite imaery, suggest that from 60% to 80% of the nation's electricity grid is either destroyed beyond repair or unusable while the latest satellite photos of active lights at night support this. Below, we can see lights across Ukraine on February 24th at the start of the war.

Next, we have an image taken from November 24th.

It appears from the evidence that more than half the nation is in total darkness and the comparison to neighboring countries where the night time images are unchanged is stark. For the majority of the war Ukraine's power grid, internet, water, gas, and other amenities functioned almost normally, which is highly unusual during an invasion but shows the Russians were exercising restraint . The reasons for Vladimir Putin's regime seeking to avoid damage to infrastructure are unknown, but public optics are the most likely explanation. With power resources nearly destroyed, the citizenry of Ukraine is facing a long cold winter with little to no relief in sight.

No doubt the media will portray this as the weaponsiation of winter, though, elimination of infrastructure is usually the first measure of a large scale attack. It is standard operating procedure for US and NATO military operations for example, as evidenced by what happened in The Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria. As of now, the coldest winter temperatures have yet to hit Ukraine, with average lows of 21°F (-6°C) in December. This kind of weather is not a problem with infrastructure intact, but with the grid down there will be chaos.

Water pipes will freeze and bust across major population centers, leaving only well water. The effects of the cold on health will be cumulative, and without heating and electric most other operations including economic activity will grind to a halt. Ukraine's population will have gone from relative comfort to brutal survival in the span of a couple months.

The next obvious outcome for nations supporting Ukraine is yet another refugee crisis, with millions of people seeking shelter in neighboring countries in order to escape the cold, hunger and lack of healthcare, medicines and basic amenities. Though mainstream analysts are finally admitting to the grid problem, there is still very little coverage of the actual consequences we are about to witness. The assertions that Ukraine is "winning" the war would be much harder to sell while at the same time acknowledging the massive economic and humanitarian disaster that is escalating in the wake of Ukraine's stunning run of military successes.

10 Months of War In Ukraine - A Status Report

Almost 10 months since the beginning of the Russian SMO in Ukraine so how do things stand.

On the military level in Ukraine things are going well for the Russians in spite of western mainstream media reports that would have you believe the Ukrainians are advancing rapidly towards Murmansk and Vladivostock. The withdrawal from Kherson was not a defeat but a tactical move ahead of the oncoming winter, Russia has sacrificed a few milies of territorial gains in order to give its military commanders more easily defensible positions and also secured its supply lines.

The sistuation is still volatile with the clown Bellendsky and the neo - Nazi nutters he acts as fromt man for still pushing to escalate the conflict beyond Ukraine's borders but their latest stunt, firing a missile into Poland and trying to blame the Russians in order to trigger World War 3 it seems to have caused erstwhile supporters to turn away from Kiev.

The refusal of escalation by the USA after the provocation of the missile fired by Ukraine on Poland has probably sealed the fate of Ukraine. By refusing to intervene, the US accepts the results on the ground where Ukraine is losing 5 men to every Russian killed or injured according to the most conservative estimates.

On the international political level the Russians have scored many points by giving a momentum towards multipolarity.

The abandonment of the dollar is progressing well. A new system is being put in place.Gas and oil flows are turning away from the EU and towards China and India. In the long run the effects will be devastating.

In terms of the real economy, the war is already having devastating effects in the EU. It is only accelerating. BASF has announced the relocation. Will it relocate according to its markets? One part in the USA and one part in China? Or all in the USA?

In 10 months these are impressive results. But the struggle continues on all fronts. :

Will the war in Ukraine continue for a long time? I see a possible end next year. It will be followed by Russian trials of the violation of international law in Ukraine by Ukrainians and their sponsors. At the same time we can ask ourselves what are the conditions for these trials to have a great impact?

The continuation of the struggle will be determined in large part by the fate of the $. Will it still be able to finance the US budget deficit? It is the dollar that allows the US to stir up trouble in many places. Rapid decline with a break-up triggering the dissolution of the Union. Or gradual decline.

Will the industrial and financial incapacity of the collective West to rearm itself have a breaking effect in the ongoing global war? I believe and hope so. The network of coerced alliances will dissolve, dragging down the dollar and liberating many countries.

The global, hagemonic power of the collective West is moribund.

Net Zero Ed - The Most Significant British Politician Of The Century?

Have MPs got smaller or has Ed Miliband got bigger? Has he grown into his boots? Has he outgrown them?

He has, over the years, been such a resource for satirists, humorists and associated noodles that it’s easy to forget he has had more affect than any Labour politician in living memory. And not just because of his £2 membership drive that put the Labour party into special measures for five years. What other contenders are there? It’s true that Tony Blair’s war in Iraq had a widespread effect on the prospects of hundreds of thousands in the Middle East – but that will be insignificant against the leadership Ed displayed with his Climate Change Act.

It was he as Energy Secretary who put it into law that we had to decarbonise our entire economy, and while sceptics jeered, and laughed and mocked the geeky overreach – the rest of the world went and followed suit. And without our realising, he created an epistemological crisis so great that the world no longer agrees on what a fact is.

“The planet is hotter than it has been for 125,000 years!” he told us, as if it weren’t palpably untrue. “We already see the disastrous effects of 1° of warming.”

One degree! Have we not had 1° rises in temperature in medieval times, Roman times, Minoan times? Doesn’t climate change? Don’t catastrophists find it impossible to explain how much warming is man-made and how much is natural?

“On the crucial issue of 1.5°,” he said, “this summit failed.”

Cop 27 may have failed to limit emissions – measurable emissions that register on detectors but the connection between that and any specific temperature rise is opaque. Nobody knows.

He then asked the minister to adopt his proposal for a “zero-carbon power system by 2030.” This is “the new gold standard on international leadership.”

We laughed at his Climate Change Act – “Who will be prosecuted if the climate changes?” we chuckled. But by any standard, Ed Miliband changed the world.

One would have to be psychotic to wish his zero-carbon catastrophe on British lives – but the temptation is there, if only to demonstrate to Ed that his policies will be the end of more humanity than all the great communist dictators put together.

WOKE - Social Justice Warriors or The New Authoritarianism

Meghan Markle, Californian podcast host and internet influencer, former member of the British Royal Family and sometime actress (allegedly) cannot understand why anyone would use the term “woke” as an insult. “Woke, by definition, means ‘alert to injustice in society, especially racism’,” she said this week. “Now, what’s loaded or wrong with that?”

So The Duchess of Megan, a Californian girl with a shapely body and a charming smile thinks 'woke' means 'alert to injustice'? Nothing newsworthy about that, surely people didn't suspect her of having an IQ that reaches double figures did they?

Bizarrely quite a lot of people on the modern Left appear to share her confusion. So before we go into a series of posts about the excesses and idiocies of the 'woke' culture it seems appropriate to clear the matter up.

Woke behaviour is built around three principles - (cf Haidt and Lukianoff The Coddling of the American Mind):

(i) If I feel it, then it's true. This allows the denial of evidence as all experiences are equal (unless you disagree with them). The selective deniability of biology, for example, as a (part) determinant of behaviour is often a characteristic of the woke. Rationality is a white western male construction of a reality that seeks to oppress anyone, or collection of people, who are different;

(ii) if you disagree with me you are my enemy. Indeed you are perpetrating "micro aggressions" at one end of the spectrum, you are probably supporting a scheme that perpetuates structural violence you could even be committing hermeneutical murder as to deny my experience is to deny the relevance of my existence.

(iii) You must not expect either me or others to be resilient, indeed I must be protected from anything that I might perceive as being upsetting (hence trigger warnings in the school curriculum and counselling for what most would consider to be trivial events. It is not incumbent on me to try harder it is incumbent on you to make it easier for me.

A lot of woke folk do not know what they are aligning with, but it seems like a good idea since they may be able to cast themselves as a victim and through victimhood benefit in some way. Universities - usually in arts and humanities departments of low ranking universities propagandise wokeness. They weaponise language and make unfalsifiable statements. The woke experience intense resentment and project this on to others while not taking responsibiity for themselves, They foster resentment in others as a means of seeking power and or status. As per above, if you don't agree you are deemed to be problematic.

Research from anti - woke campaign group Don’t Divide Us (DDU), which works to challenge identity politics and other 'wokw' ideologies of the far left paints a troubling picture of how divisive, identitarian policies based on Critical Race Theory are being introduced to the curriculum in state schools across England and Wales.

DDU sent over 170 freedom-of-information requests to local authorities, and responses show that one in four councils (23 per cent) endorse a biased and divisive (anti - white racist?) version of race relations in their education departments. This model asserts that white people are racist, whether they realise it or not, and that UK society is systemically racist. And it treats contested ideas, such as ‘structural racism’, ‘white privilege’ and ‘unconscious bias’, as fact. Basically it is propaganda aimed at brainwashing British kids into supporting black supremacist groups.

This new, virulent approach to opposing racism is very different from racial equality campaigns of the past. Rather than aiming to challenge the discrimination that denied certain groups the same rights and freedoms as the majority, the ideology behind this new , racist anti-racism does not seek equality. It is a form of identity politics that is intended to divide society along racial lines.

We should not be teaching children that they are living in a racist society but that all members of society are equal and have the same rights and privileges. That so many local authorities consider teaching hate and resentment a legitimate educational goal should worry us all. Encouraging schools to adopt this approach will not cultivate individuals capable of independent thinking, but that has always been the aim of the left, one need only read the novels of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley, themselves socialists but opposed to authoritarianism to confirm this. Teaching Critical Race Theory will only create new activists for this new, nasty, dictatorial corrupted form of anti-racism.

The DDU research also highlights the proliferating number of third-party organisations now working in the education sector. Among the councils that have approved teaching Critical Race Theory, 88 per cent partner with third-party organisations and the GayBLT group Stonewall. These overtly political groups are invited into schools to provide training and curriculum materials, often without any independent scrutiny.

MSNBC Doubles Down On Fascist Mission Statements: It's Our Job To Control How People Think... Not Elon Musk's

It has been amusing to observe this week how utterly incensed the 'woke', leftie hate mobs at Twitter were when they heard that Elon Musk, currently the richest man in the world's bid to buy Twitter, but for people who don't see the funny side of it, an old comment from the ultra left American news channel MSNBC is an important reminder of just how the lefties in the media media and their globalist billionaire psychopath overlords see their role in modern society.

As hours of coverage and an avalanche of op-eds are unleashed to explain to the masses why they should grab their pitchforks as Elon Musk offers to buy a social media platform at a significant premium for shareholders, this brief exchange between MSNBC presenters from 2017 perfectly summarizes exactly what is wrong with modern socirty.

On MSNBC's breakfast show 'Morning Joe', Mika Brzezinski, referring to President Trump said the following words in her out-loud voice...

"The dangerous edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts, and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsen, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think..."

And then the nail in the 'oops, I just told the truth coffin':

"...and that is our job."

To which the effervescent Joe Scarborough replies:

"Yeah".

And in case you thought that perhaps attitudes had changed in the intervening years and the propagandists at MSNBC had learned something from the hit their ratings have taken due to the utterly biased and distorted coverage on the COVID pandemic and decided gaslighting the public does not win them friends, viewers or advertising revenue, on Friday's 'Morning Joe', Brezinski repeated her delusional claim about the need to control information when raising alarm over how Musk's possible takeover of Twitter might affect the grip of the far left propaganda machine's grip on on social media and thus their ability to shape public opinion, calling a hypothetical Elon Musk takeover a "very dangerous precedent" for America.

"...are there any ways to stop him if he wants to buy Twitter? Are there any guardrails around something like this? Because this could be a very dangerous precedent,"

"He does not believe in the consequences of words," added Brezinki's guest, who had written earlier that "Elon Musk’s attempt to buy Twitter represents a chilling new threat: billionaire trolls taking over social media."

Somewhat bizarrely these people had nothing to say when Amazon founder and far left, 'woke' billionaire psychopaths Jeff Bezon took over The Washington Post, or when former world's richest man Bill Gates acquires controlling interests in numerous influential print and TV news companies. The problem for MSNBC is of course that while the 'woke' left are intent on controlling not only what people say but what they think, Elon Musk, whatever else we might think of him (and I'm not a fan,) is a determined defender of free speech, even if it means allowing people he disagrees with a platform on a site he owns. Other billionaire psychopaths, Twitter's founder Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Amazon's Jeff Bezos being the most notable examples as all have been driving forces in the hounding of conservative and libertarian voices from their platforms.

Hey Hand-Wringers and Pearl Clutchers - Wokeness Worsens Waycism

While I was talking to an old friend and a lifelong and somewhat fanatical supporter of Manchester United football (aka soccer,) club he asked who I though would win the Premier League title, United's great rivals Manchester City or Liverpool. I could only say that given the current standings it was a foregone conclusion one or the other would win it, but I simply do not care.

Football, and indeed any team sports were never a great enthusiasm of mine, I'd rather be doing than watching, but up to a few years ago I took a passing interest simply so that I was not left out of half the conversations among my friends in pubs. Over the last decade however, my low level of involvement in declined as the game became more politicised and more politically correct, finally hitting zero when players (overpaid, overrated posers with silly haircuts,) began 'taking the knee in support of Black Lives Matter during the torrent of woke hysteria that inundated public life in the wake of the George Floyd incident.

The sound of people chanting the Black Lives Matter mantra, ‘Silence is Violence’, echoed around the world in the summer of 2020. Reverse Racism activists and their supporters in political circles, media, the celebrity circus, sport and academic communities jumped on the BLM bandwagon, declaring that anybody who did not publicly support anti-black racism was by defalut an anti - black racist.

If you failed to take the knee or put a black square on your Instagram page or faithfully mouth BLM’s childish political slogans, then you were complicit in the death of George Floyd and other and other African Americans who died while committing crimes or resisting arrest and of actual violence against people of colour.

It was all idiotic of course, the kind of irrational virtue signalling we should now ne conditioned to expect from the 'woke' left.

Since then of course it has emerged that George Floyd was a despicable thug and small - time dickhead, that the innocent schoolteacher shot by trigger happy police while in bad at home, was in fact in bed next to her drug dealer boyfriend who started shooting when the cops burst in to arrest him, and that another black man who was shot by police had actually reached into his car for a concealed gun when he was warned that he was being arrested.

And then, beneath the deafening screech of activists wailing 'Black Lives Matter,' there were the softer voices of level headed reporters pointing out that given the levels of black - on - black homicide and violence occurring daily on the streets of American and increasingly the streets of European cities one could easily take away the impression that the only black lives which matter are those of criminals being brought to account under the laws of societies with a white majority.

Is it still the case then that failing to support anti - racist organisations amounts to supporting racism? If so, then the woke activists who have ranted and raged about white privilege, white supremacism and white fragility should be charged with hate crime, because thanks to their divisive and provocative behaviour racist attacks have spiked horribly in the US in recent weeks and they have uttered not a word about it. Here are some examples:

In New York City, scene of some particularly nasty racially motivated assaults, on 11 March, a 67-year-old woman was viciously assaulted for no reason other than that her attacker hated her race. She was punched in the face 125 times, had her head stomped on seven times, was spat on, and was subjected to racist epithets. It was so severe that the suspect has been charged with attempted murder.

At the start of April 2022, a young man in Brooklyn was attacked by a gang, again because of his race. He was kicked repeatedly and subjected to insults. One anti-racist organisation said it was ‘shocked by the viciousness’ of this act of racist violence.

You haven’t heard about these attacks? Your social-media feed hasn’t overflowed with comments posted by University Brainwashed wokesters expressing sympathy for the victims or anger and outrage at the racial element in the attacks? You haven’t seen professional sports teams and athletes take the knee for the victims?

Well, that might have something to do with who the victims were. The 67-year-old woman punched in the face 125 times is Chinese-American. ‘Asian bitch’, her racist assaulter said as he spat and stomped on her. The young man brutalised in Brooklyn is Jewish, Hasidic Jew, to be precise. These are not minorities who enjoy anointed victim status in woke ideology. They place very low indeed in the hierarchy of racial victimhood constructed by the woke elites.

Jews, we are informed, enjoy ‘white privilege’. They’re hyper-white, according to some accounts, so how can they be sympathetic victims of racial hatred? As for Asians, they enjoy ‘honorary whiteness’, apparently. We frequently hear about ‘the whitening of Asian Americans’. In short, they’re integrated into mainstream society, and thus not as deserving of support as other, apparently more oppressed groups. Likewise African Americans who are educated and have entered the professional and managerial classes. They are dismissed as traitors to the cause. Top of the victimhood ladder in the estimation of the woke elite are black criminals, drug dealers and users, members of street gangs and general arseholes.

Then there’s the question of who was responsible for the violent assaults mentioned above and many others because, for purposes of clarity I have not mentioned any attacks on people whose genetics are predominantly European. The suspect in the Asian woman attack is a black man named Tammel Esco. He has a long record of violent, drug related crime and has now been charged with attempted murder as a hate crime.

The gang that attacked the Jewish in Brooklyn was largely made up of black youths. This is not a rare occurrence. Tragically, young blacks attacking visibly Jewish people has become increasingly common in New York in recent years. But in woke ideology this is not racism blacks outrank Jews in the hierarchy of victimhood.

The woke Social Justice Warriors, stuck in their inflexible narratives of privilege and oppression, the idea of black - on - white or black - on - brown racism does not compute. So they ignore these attacks. They remain silent – or, as they might once have put it, violent.

The failure of these cases to stir up even a ripple of outrage among the virtue-signallers of social media is an indication of how toxic the left's identity politics has become. Anti-Jewish and anti-Asian violence is a very serious problem in parts of the US, yet it rarely registers on the outrageometer of the woke set whereas even moderate criticism of an African American drug addicted criminal will result in the critic being cancelled, losing their career and becoming a social outcast.

When racist violence committed by black people or people of colour or whatever we are required to call them this week is treated as just the background noise of city life, a mundane everyday activity not worth commenting on, you know we have a profound problem of racism denial.

Is it any wonder though that this hidden racism is a growing problem not only in American but in UK, Germany, France, Netherlands and other nations with significant ethnic minority populations, when the slience of those who interpret even trivial incidents of bad manners are interpreted as a serious case of racism if the perpetratoris white and the target black or Hispanic. This lop sided attitude appears to give the stamp of approval to black and Hispanic thugs to commit racist acts against white people or minority members who have assimilated into the prevailing culture.

Orbán's Landslide Victory in Hungary Shows Voters Are Sick of Woke Globalism

In last weekend's Hungarian elwction the stunning victoru of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his Fidez party, which absolutely crushed the opposition despite a hugely expensive propaganda campain againts the governing part funded by Marxist billionaire and big - time political meddler George Soros and orchestrated by the European Union was a triumph for “Christian democratic, conservative, patriotic politics,” Orbán said in a victory speech.

There election was free and fair due to Hungarian controls on postal voting and observed counts making difficult the kind of vote rigging seen so often in recent elections, and the people of Hungary gave a decisive blow to the idiocies of the globalist, woke agenda at the ballot box.

LifeSiteNews reported "Pro-life and pro-family Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has won a fourth term as the Central European nation’s leader after his conservative Fidesz Party’s landslide success at the polls was announced Sunday.
58-year old Orbán fought off a six-party coalition aimed at unseating him to take a supermajority in Parliament, with Fidesz now holding 135 of the 199 available seats, just under 68 percent, and the opposition bloc taking just 56 seats.
Orbán, who has presided over Hungary for 12 years and is the European Union’s (EU) longest serving prime minister, will now rule for a further four, despite early polls predicting he would be ousted.
The prime minister was welcomed by a crowd cheering his name Sunday night as polling results showed his success. Addressing his supporters, Orbán said that they ‘have won a great victory – a victory so great you can see it from the moon and certainly from Brussels.’1
‘The entire world can see that our brand of Christian democratic, conservative, patriotic politics has won.’
‘We are sending Europe a message that this is not the past – this is the future, our common European future’. . .
Hungary has also faced fierce opposition from within the EU over social and political issues; the European Parliament voted in March to withdraw funding to the country over its refusal to bow to the bloc’s pro-LGBT stance.
The EU criticized legislation recently enacted in Hungary known as the Child Protection Law, banning the promotion of homosexuality, ‘transgenderism,’ and pornographic materials to minors in schools as well as cracking down on pedophilia.”

Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec guested on Steve Bannon’s War Room on April 4 to discuss Orbán’s stunning 20-point victory on a nationalist, pro-family platform. Posobiec said:

“The referendum passed even bigger than Orbán. . .[the referendum was] all about this sexual identity in the classroom, bringing the trans agenda to children. Steve, they were passing with a majority of 92 to 95% against that. . .You would see similar majorities across the United States [on these issues]. . .
[This is] a turn back to traditionalism, a turn back to sovereignty, a turn back to actual national identity for individual nations and no globalized homogenization. And by the way, Steve, I really have to shout out to, you know, the election workers in Hungary as well, because somehow they were able to count millions and millions of votes in just a couple of hours. . .We’re not waiting two and three weeks, there’s no crazy things going on at 3 am in the morning. . .Maybe we can get some of that here.”

As results came in on Hugary's election night, showing that Fidez was winning by an even bigger landslide than in the previous three elections, Orbán told supporters that the money Hungarian-borncurrency speculator George Soros had spent funding his opposition was Soros's worst investment ever.

Soros might regret another investment he made in 1989 a bit more: it was then that his Open Societies foundations awarded a young Orbán a scholarship to Oxford.

But Soros was not the only one stung by the scale of Oraban's victory. Due to his position as de facto leasder of the EU's renegade Visegrad group, a cohort of former Soviet Bloc nations which relish the security EU gives them but resent the centralised and authoritarian control of political and socialist agendas imposed on member stated by Brussels, Hungary punches above its weight in the EU's council of ministers. With many other member states not associated with Visegrad also trending politically towards fiscally and socially conservative parties which opposed the move towards woke globalism in Brussels, EU leaders supportive of federalisation and expansion of the Union are panicking.

Private School Downgraded by Ofsted for Being Too Woke and Neglecting Actual Teaching

A leading London private school has been downgraded by education watchdog Ofsted for placing more weight on teaching “social justice” than on learning “subject-specific knowledge and skills” while some pupils felt their views were “suppressed” in lessons. The Evening Standard has the story. The American School in St John’s Wood, which charges £32,650 a year, was downgraded from “outstanding” in its previous inspection to “requires improvement”. In a report from an inspection from December 2021, Ofsted noted that leaders of the school, which educates pupils from age four to 18, had high expectations and “gives strong importance to equality and inclusion”. But it added: “Sometimes, however, teaching places much more weight on the school’s approach to social justice than on learning subject-specific knowledge and skills.” The report said that the school provided opportunities for pupils with different characteristics to discuss issues affecting them. “However, not everyone felt that they are able to express their views freely in class,” it added. “A significant number felt that their voices are not encouraged, or in some cases, are suppressed.” In November 2021, the Times reported that non-white pupils had been recruited to affinity groups for people of colour, which some parents felt was discriminatory towards their children. Parents also expressed concern about the teaching of concepts such as “white fragility” to their children. Former headteacher Robin Appleby left the school in January. The report praised the school’s music curriculum, which it said was “broad and balanced” but added that “in other areas of the curriculum, the approach is not as balanced”. “This is particularly where teaching places more emphasis on the school’s social justice programme than on the acquisition of specific subject content,” it added. Ofsted said that in the school’s lower school curriculum for social studies, pupils “spend much time repeatedly considering identity (including analysing their own characteristics) rather than learning, for example, geographical knowledge”.
