France’s Slide Into Martial Law

Boggart Abroad tries to bring to readers controversial and unorthodox views on stories that are either sanitised or ignored by mainstream media. This means we tackle some very serious topics although we like to throw in satire and irony from time to time. This is in contrast to the Original Boggart Blog (now residing on Wordpress since the original platform closed) which was a cynical satirical and sometimes surreally comical blog dedicated to bursting the bubble in which the politicians, public relations agents and media luvvies who influence public opinion while not in touch with the general public's reality.

One of the stories we reported recently concerned the way the socialist government in France is using the November 2016 terrorist attacks to push the country towards Martial law and full government control of the media. This was initially disguised by Francois Hollande's government as a clampdown on 'conspiracy theories' that damage national security. In truth the 'conspiracy theories' governments want to ban could only possibly damage national security if they are close to the truth while official narratives put out by government propaganda departments is completely incredible.

The terrorist attacks in Paris were used by the French, British and German governments as justification for joining military strikes in Syria and by Barack Hussein Obama's wretched administration as an excuse to curtail free speech by outlawing comment which criticised Islamic extremism. The outrage was also used as justification by the French government to severely restrict freedoms at home. As we reported, in the wake of the November 13 attacks, the French government began closing down alternative news sites.

Activists hoping to demonstrate in support of or against Carbon Taxes at last month’s Climate Conference in Paris were disappointed to learn that France’s state of emergency also included a ban on protests. Some French politicians are pushing to install GPS trackers in rental cars, re-write the Constitution to allow for martial law, block free wifi and Tor, and combine state databases, which would give the state access to citizens’ personal medical records although none of these actions would have prevented the attacks.

Amnesty International, expressed concern that the Government had imposed martial law in response to the terrorist attack. Along with many French bloggers, they are right to fear for freedom and democracy in France, and I am once again reminded of the warning given by Austrian economist Josef Schumpeter, that "socialism always leads to fascism." Isn’t a restriction of freedoms handing victory to jihadists whose cause implied hatred of western values? John Dalhuisen, Amnesty International’s Director of Europe and Central Asia, said in November: “It is a paradox to suspend human rights in order to defend them.”

Many bloggers agreed and said they were scared about the situation in France. One wrote:

“I’m currently living in Paris, the city where some fanatics killed people because they were listening to music, watching a football match, or simply enjoy beers in a bar. I was living in the neighbourhood of where those tragic event happened. Now I’m scared.
I’m not scared of terrorists.
I’m scared of my own country.
I’m scared because different is now starting to mean dangerous.”

"It seems that being an ecologist is enough to get house arrest. Before its 20th November reform, this sentence was reserved to people ‘whose activity is dangerous’, now it’s ‘serious reason to believe that his behaviour constitutes a threat’. We’re almost at the thought crime of George Orwell's '1984'."

France’s emergency measures were reported by the mainstream media HERE, HERE and HERE but there was little analysis or debate about whether they are justified: the myth we have to trade in our freedoms to get security has become a normal part of everyday life.

Oregon Ranchers' Militia Tears Down Fence On Government Land, Demands Release Of Ranchers

While we have been preoccupied with mass rapes in Cologne, Europe's immigrant crisis, the crisis that has now spread from Syria and Iraq and now involves all of the middle ease plus Turkey, and the imminent global economic crisis, a smaal local crisis that could turn out to have bigger implications has been unfolding in the north west USA state of Oregon, where rancher families named bundy and Hammon have been defying the authority of federal authorities to, The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Agriculture.enforce United Nations Agenda 21

Following a peaceful protest against the enclosure of government owned land on which ranchers have traditionally enjoyed grazing rights in Burns, Oregon on January 2, the Bundys and fellow militia members who object to new, authoritarian laws drafted by the New World Order United Nations and made law by Obama's Imperial decree, seized the empty EPA building at Malheur. The group has now occupied the refuge ever since, calling for the government to abide by its own rules and stop the heavy-handed treatment of the ranchers. Their father, Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, successfully faced down federal law enforcement agents in 2014 in a dispute over grazing fees and land use.

This latest contretemps seems to have been triggered by the extension of Obama's "You did'n' buy dat car white boy, de gub'ment bought dat shiny new sheen" philosophy of property ownership.

The militia men claim they are taking back land on behalf of the locals. While initially supportive of the stunt because it highlighted difficulties faced by farmers' and ranchers' due to the Obama administration's Maoist 'government owns everything' policy and any law that enforces it, Harney County residents have now called on the militia to leave peacefully Harney County Sheriff David Ward likewise asked the militia to depart the refuge, but was ignored.

On Saturday, the brothers’ mother Carol Bundy sent out a call for more supplies, including sleeping bags, toiletries, food, coffee and cigarettes, suggesting that the group was preparing to stay for the long haul although protest leaders are now negotiating with FBI

Also on Saturday, a convoy of almost 20 vehicles brought in volunteers armed with rifles and shotguns from the Pacific Patriot Network, but the Bundys turned them away. Fellow rancher LaVoy Finicum said that while the PPN’s support was appreciated, "we want the long guns put away."

While we are able to post soothing messages about the volatility in world stock markets, the crazy fluctuations in currency, they ever sinking price of oil at the well head and they way we seem to be returning to using gold as the international currency, because all these markets are rigged and statistics are meaningless, there is little we can say about the state of the Baltic Dry Index other than, "Be afraid, be very afraid." Since we reported a few weeks ago that the index which is a guide to the pricing of marine transport costs for various categories of dry goods.

And it isn't just marine cargo movement that is causing concern

As we explained then, prices in The Baltic Dry Index are determined by the amount of marine cargo capacity available versus the volume of goods needing to be transported.

Since our last report the index has continued to fall, it seems ship owners cannot give away space in their ships holds.

As Dollar Vigilante's Jeff Berwick reports, it appears the worldwide 'real' economy has ground to a halt!!

Last week a contact in The City Of London financial community told me he knew many brokers who had no ships at sea right now, because operating them meant running at a loss.

This week, reports are circulating saying much the same thing: The North Atlantic has little or no cargo ships traveling in its waters. Instead, they are anchored. Unmoving. Empty.

So what is going on, surely it cannot be that no goods are moving. But according to the We checked VesselFinder.com and it appears to show no ships in transit anywhere in the world." website, that is exactly the case.

The world’s economy seems in serious trouble. As all of us have said, nations can’t print money to deflate their way out of recession. All you are doing is hollowing out your economy. Draining it. And sooner or later it’s empty and you have to start a again after several years of chaos, hardship and social breakdown.

It’s no coincidence that The Baltic Dry is down as China is struggling to contain a stock market collapse. The Chinese economic boom has depended on exports to the west of goods formerly made in western economies until some fuckwit economic hit on the idea that corporate profits could be increased if we exported all our jobs to low labour cost economies while the newly unemployed working classes consumed more.

Keep your eye on this shipping story! If it is true and worldwide shipping is disastrously foundering, it’ll only be a matter of weeks before grocery store shelves will reflect that.

Cheaper To 'Buy' A Dry Bulk Freight Tanker Than A Starbucks Coffee

Just 3 short months ago, we detailed how - thanks to the collapse in China's growth and massive commodity inventory gluts, the cost of renting a Dry Bulk Tanker was less than the cost of renting a ferrari for a day...

As Bloomberg reported at the time,

Rates for Capesize-class ships plummeted 92 percent since August to $1,563 a day amid slowing growth in China. That’s less than a third of the daily rate of 3,950 pounds ($5,597) to rent a Ferrari F40, the price of which has also fallen slightly in the past few years, according to Nick Hardwick, founder of supercarexperiences.com.

The Baltic Exchange’s rates reflect the cost of hiring the vessel but not fuel costs. Ships burn about 35 metric tons a day, implying a cost of about $4,000 at present prices, data compiled by Bloomberg show.

One would think, considering how much the Baltic Dry Index has 'surged' off its all-time record lows - and the noise being spewed by Cramer et al. that this is somehow indicative of the "big comeback" in the Chinese (and world) economies - that the situation would have improved... But it has not!

For the cost of $1 - less than the price of a Grande Black Coffee at Starbucks - you too can be the owner of a 58,429 deadweight tonne bulk carrier...

Will The 3.5mm Jack Be The Worm That Rots The Apple?

Following rumours that Apple Inc. was planning to replace the standard 3.5mm jack socket on its amusing gadgets, starting with the iPhone 7, hudreds of thousands of users have signed a petition asking the company to reconsider. This humble plug, which has been a de facto standard for electronic technology since the nineteenth century, is a rare example of technology that has stood the test of time in an industry that depends on obsolescence to maintain its revenue flows.

Considering the move has not been confirmed by Apple and therefore is to date only an unsubstantiated rumour, a lot of people are already getting upset about the new iPhone. If Apple go ahead and scrapping the 3.5mm socket, people who buy new gadgets will have to buy headphones with proprietary jack plugs that can be plugged into the "Lightning" port - the company's own design of socket.

Cynics have pointed out that while the change might enable iPhones to be slightly thinner, it will render many headphones useless and force headphone manufacturers to pay Apple a licence fee to use their Lightning plugs on products.

The petition says Apple's purported move would "singlehandedly create mountains of electronic waste".

The original 'quarter-inch' jack, which the 3.5mm jack is a compact version of, was first introduced for use with early, manual telephone switchboards.

At Last, A Candidate I Feel I Could Support Were I An American Voter

Recently I have been accused (on facebook, people don't comment on my posts here for some reason) that I am a Donald Trump fan, and that I', a Bernie Sanders fan. Now I am not a supporter of either, I'm British and so don't have a vote in November and if I did I would not vote for either of those mentioned, not any other contender for the Democrat or Republican nomination.

What has interested me about both campaigns is that the support for Sanders and Trump represents the kind of rejection of mainstream politics we have been seeing in Europe (represented in numbers of votes but not election victories due to some pretty sordid deals being done between mainstream parties that are traditional rivals for the sake of preserving the status quo.

Neither Bernie Sanders nor Donald Trump is likely to win their party's nomination of course, the Washington fixers will find a way to spike the guns of both candidates.

Today however, I stumbled on a candidate that, were I entitled to vote in the election, I could support.

Gary Johnson will not win the election of course, which is a lot to do with why I could vote for him, I'm proud to say I have never voted for the winner in any election I have cast a vote in. but he does bring new ideas and thought provoking policies to the campaign and that might lead people to question more closely the vacuity of Hillary Clinton and the buffoonery of Donald Trump.

It has taken an example of lawlwss behaviour by recenltly arrived immigrants as gross as the mass rape and sexual assault riot in Cologne at New Year, 2016, to awake German anger at what their government, led by arch globalist Angela Merkel, and the wannabe bureaucratic dictatorship that is the European Union is doing to the ancient cultures of the federal states that make up modern Germany.

Merkel and the EU have operated 'open doors' immigration policies, perverting the principle of free movement of people between member states into a 'no borders' mess which allows freedom movement of people from lawless places, of criminals and terrorists and of people whose mindset was formed in cultures where women, far from being equal, have status somewhere between animals and slaves, to freely enter the European Union and then move freely through countries signed up the the Shengen Zone treaty which permits undocumented travel.

Now there is a growing movement in Germany demanding that Merkelo be impeached, a petition has been launched to put before GFermany's elected representatives. Pressure of public opinion may soon reach such a level that Chancellor Angela Merkel's own party may soon compel her party to ask her to resign, according to the German newspaper Saarbrucker Zeitung.

Saarbrucken Zeitung recalled that Merkel recently rejected Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer's offer to introduce quotas on the number of migrants entering Germany, thus while apearing in some public statements to have backed off her hardline 'let them all in' policy, reiterating her postition that Germany must accept anybody that arrives at its borders and claims to be a refugee or asylum seeker. This is in spite of Federal Police criminal intelligence reporting that ISIS and Al Queda jihadists had already infiltrated Germany's immigrant communities.

Speaking recently at a closed meeting of Germany's ruling Christian Social Union party, Seehofer said that he, like all the German MPs, wants to solve the migration problem with Merkel as Chancellor of Germany, but that the issue should be resolved as soon as possible.


Representatives of the Christian Social Union party and the Christian Democratic Union have also urged Merkel to establish refugee quotas in order to resolve the migration crisis. However, Merkel has repeatedly rejected the idea, the approval of which would mean the closure of her country's borders for new migrants.

According to the latest estimates by the EU border agency Frontex, around 1.2 million migrants arrived in EU countries in the first ten months of 2015. The European Commission said in turn that the current global migration crisis represents the worst such deadlock since the Second World War.

Thousands Flood The Streets In Germany As Fury Over Refugee Sex Assaults Reaches Boiling Point

Over the past week, more information has been coming to light about the wave of violence and sexual assaults that occurred across Europe on New Year’s Eve.

What mostly news reports in English speaking countries (including our early posts) initially believed was isolated riot by newly arrived migrants in Cologne’s city center now appears not to have been confined to the German city but was a bloc-wide phenomenon as women in Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, France, Italy, The Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia have come forward to report being molested by what police have eventually admitted were gangs of drunken Mid-East asylum seekers.

"In Sweden, police said at least 15 young women reported being groped by groups of men on New Year's Eve in the city of Kalmar,” AP reports, adding that “in Finland, police said they received tipoffs on New Year's Eve that about 1,000 predominantly Iraqi asylum seekers were intending to gather near the main railway station in Helsinki and harass passing women."

Similar stories are being reported all around Europe.

"Women's groups and many politicians have long been arguing that Germany's sexual assault law is archaic, with loopholes that mean groping and surprise attacks are not necessarily prosecutable unless the woman tries to fight off the attack - which police often advise against," Deutsche Welle notes.

"There have been very many cases that you and I would probably unequivocally describe as rape or sexual assault that haven't come to a conviction, because the women allegedly didn't defend themselves enough," Elke Ferner of the Social Democratic Party's women's group told the broadcaster.

We have taken the view that Europe's ruling elites have betrayed the people of their own nations for the sake of sucking up to that terrorist loving piece of slime in The White House and the globalist financiers ( e.g. George Soros) he serves. The Latest news bulletins from Germany appear to bear out our view. BBC News reports German police have used water cannon and tear gas to disperse people protesting against the German government's failure to act against a tide of immigrant crimes against German citizens that has been gathering momentum throughout the past year.

The protestors have been quick to point out that while they were peacefully protesting when this treatment was handed out, on New Year's Eve police stood by and did nothing as German women were being raped and mauled by immigrant males. So again it seems the German authorities actions can only inflame the situation more.

And again, we see a deeply divided society, with citizens concerned for the freedom and safety of German citizens being branded as right wing extremists for staging a kind of "we told you so" rally and the pro-refugee, anti Europeran German authorities trying to suppress the opinions and curtail the civil liberties of those who complain about the wave of violence, sex crimes and anto social behaviour associated with the immigrants.

Meanwhile, the flow of asylum seekers continues unabated. "We had an average influx of 3,200 refugees per day arriving in Germany, and the numbers are not declining in the last days," Ole Schroeder, the deputy German minister, told a briefing in Brussels.

Sharia courts creating dual justice system in UK?

As if we did not have enough immigration problems to deal with as the inflow of illegal immigrants (or refugees and asylum seekers as our ruling elites insist on calling them) shows no sign of slowing.

The rising popularity of Sharia courts in the UK is increasing concerns of a parallel justice system emerging. Authorities say they are conducting a review of the process. RT’s Eisa Ali looks at the arguments of those against and in favor of the system. Sharia councils in the UK say they deal strictly with family matters, such as marriage and child custody battles, but there is concern that they constitute a parallel legal system.

“We believe that Sharia courts discriminate against women and especially against Muslim women,” Nazira Mahmari, of the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation, told Russia Today.

“We want all women to have the right to access the mainstream system,” she added. Mahmari says she would like to close down all Sharia courts in the UK.

This view is shared by Robin Tilbrook, the founder of the English Democrats Party, who says the British government should be doing more to tackle the problem.

"No civilised country can survive the disintegration of its legal system. As Marcus Tullius Cicero wrote over 2000 years ago, "Ever since our ancestors came out of the hills ten thousand years ago to live under the rule of law, it has been understood there can only be one law in a state."

He was and still is right. Suppose we allow this trend to continue beyond civil matter to crimes committed by Muslims in the name of Islam. Should a man be accused of the honour killing of his British born daughter because she dated a Christian boy, a Shaira court would find that he had acted properly.

Public hostility to Muslim migrants who raped and sexually assautled German women and attacked German nationals on New Year's Eve increased sharply after a socialist regional politician in the North Rhine - Westphalia federal state appeared to blame Germans for the orgies of violence that took place in Cologne and other German cities as people celebrated the New Year.

Ralf Jaeger, a member of the left wing Social Democratic Party of Germany and interior minister for the German state, within which Cologne is situated, has said people of a right wing persuasion discussing the mass sexual assaults on New Years Eve online are equally "awful" as the attackers and rapists.

"What happens on the right-wing platforms and in chat rooms is at least as awful as the acts of those assaulting the women,” Jaeger, a member of the left wing Social Democratic Party of Germany, told reporters this morning.

"This is poisoning the climate of our society”, he added, after branding all right wing politics as racism and equating anti-immigration rhetoric with sexual assault.

Breitbart London, a "right wing platform" according to Jaeger claims to have broken the story to the English speaking world after German television and print news organisations had collaborted with Hausfrau - Volksfuhrer Merkel's authoritarian government in trying to suppress news of the attacks , sparking a global tide of outrage in the process. Several alternative media sites have equally valid claims, but who cares, the important point is Merkel's efforts to prevent the truth about her beloved immigrants emerging were frustrated.

Over 90 women were attacked in Cologne on New Years Eve, with multiple victims describing the 500 to a 1000 perpetrators as “Arab and North African”. Many of the men did not speak German or English, and German authorities have been forced to admit they were recently arrived illegal immigrants.

After an internal police report revealed the level of chaos that existed in Cologne on New Year’s Eve as hundreds of non - German men robbed people and sexually assaulted dozens of women while police struggled to respond. The report, written by a senior police official and obtained by Der Spiegel states, “Women, accompanied or not, literally ran a ‘gauntlet’ through masses of men that words cannot describe.”

Officers were overtaxed and struggled to respond to what the report calls “chaos.” “Security forces were unable to get all of the incidents, assaults, crimes, etc. under control. There were simply too many happening at the same time,” the report states.

When people in the crowd called for help, officers found they could not work their way through to reach them because of groups of men blocking their way. When officers ordered members of the mob to disperse, they were ignored.

The report also leaves little doubt about who was involved in the chaotic scene, describing the perpetrators as male migrants. Some offenders in the crowd even tore up their residence permits in front of police. One of these individuals reportedly grinned at an officer and said, “You can’t touch me. I’ll just go back tomorrow and get a new one.”

Another man reportedly told police, “I’m a Syrian! You have to treat me kindly! Mrs. Merkel invited me.” Germany’s Justice Minister indicated on Thursday that asylum seekers found guilty of sexual assault could be deported.

In thw latest development on this story, Russia Today reports the police chief of Cologne has lost his job following criticism of his handling of violence in the city on New Year's Eve.

Police chief Wolfgang Albers, 60, was informed by state interior minister Ralf Jaeger that he would be given early retirement on Friday. He confirmed the news in a press statement. In fairness to Albers, he and other senior police officers in germany have complained that they are powerless to act against immigrant lawlessness because the federal Government has issued instructions that nothing must be done which might inflame racial tensions. naturally this has prompted the immigrants to shout, "Racial harassment whenever the police try to enforce German laws.

Albers' statement read "As Cologne police chief I have always regarded my work as a service for the Cologne police and people of Cologne. And [that role] also means to take responsibility in difficult times.

"I accept the facts that in current discussions, officers and myself have come under fire. But police officers who were on duty near the Cologne railway station on New Year’s Eve do not deserve this criticism," he added.

It comes after a report leaked on Thursday contradicted the police chief’s statements that authorities had little or no information about the background of the attackers.

"Among the identity checks that were carried out, the majority of people were only able to produce evidence of registration as an asylum seeker from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees [BAMF]," read a police report from January 2, according to Die Welt.

Albers has been accused of attempting to hide the asylum seekers' involvement in the mass sexual assaults. Again this is unfair, the instruction to hush up the outrages came, as we reported yesterday, from Angela Merkel's office.

Lefties Trying To Troll Trump Show They Are Semi Literate Morons

Donald. Trump who is currently, much to the chagrin of the US left, the leading contender for the Republican Party Presidential nomination in the election later this year,  is always happy to publicise
himselfhis views on current events around the world. To this end The Donald sometimes takes to Twitter to make his views known in 140 characters.

This may seem a rather restrictive medium for commenting on complex matters such as Europe's immigrant crisis, but perhaps Trump has taken on board the words of Shakespeare's Hamlet, "I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself the king on infinite space."

He certainly covered a lot of political ground when he tweeted:

 “Man shot inside Paris police station. Just announced that terror threat is at highest level. Germany is a total mess-big crime. GET SMART!”  ( @realDonaldTrump )

This sillyosities of the left jumped on this. "Trump thinks Paris is in Germany" the sheeple bleated in unison. Now I will probably be told I am a rabid Trump supporter by lefties (who all know my mind better than I do myself apparently) for saying so, but any literate person reading that tweet will be aware Donald Trump has written nothing that  suggests he thinks Paris is in Germany. There are punctuation marks, full stops or 'periods' as Americans call them (and no, I don't think this is a result of the effects of feminism on american English) which separate three statements about the crisis.

What Mr. Trump is saying in his tweet, is "Europe is a basket case". I agree with him on that, though I do not share his political beliefs. Europe is a basket case because Hausfrau Volksfuhrer. Merkel and Monsieur Le Petit Crapaud. Hollande have done the things that Mr. Trump would not countenance were he president:

1. Allow uncontrolled, mass migration, with little to no checks on who is entering their countries;
2. Hand over  to an sovereign powers to regulate movement of people to unelected bureaucratic organisation called the European Union;
3. Place more emphasis on ‘liberal’ ideology than on maintaing the rule of law;
4. Pretend that all Muslim immigrants are peaceful refugees who just want to integrate or asylum seekers fleeing from political persecution;
5. Deflect the blame for the contempt for local laws and social values and disinclination to integrate on ‘right wing’ elements of society.

It’s not just Germany and France that are in trouble. In the United Kingdom we have a similar situation.,   Sweden has become a lawless dystopia with immigrant gangs controlling inner city areas of Stockholm, Malmo and Gothenburg, and rapes (by migrants on Swedish women) reaching epidemic levels. In The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Austria and Hungary civil unrest is growing as immigrants set up 'Sharia Law' zones and declare them no - go zones for police and emergency services. In Norway, news reports say the police have lost control of the streets in the capital city, Oslo, and are warning Europeans to stay out of the city.

I would guess that while Donald Trump, who has a private jet in which he travels widely, has a good idea where all the places I mention are. I wonder how many of the left wing morons attacking him do.

But Mr. Trump, like me, finds it hard to fit all the deeply disturbing, left-wing, fuck-wittery that has effectively ruined Europe for at least a generation, into one tweet. Fair play to the lad, at least he tries, I gave up on the idiots paradise that is twitter after a week.
